In 1947 Minnie Pearl and Ernest Tubb headline the first Country music show ever at New York's Carnegie Hall.

In 1957 "The Big Record," a record hop style show hosted by Patti Page premieres on CBS-TV with guests Sal Mineo and Tony Bennett.

In 1961 "Take Good Care Of My Baby" by Bobby Vee hits #1 on the U.S. top 40 chart and stayed there for 3 weeks.
