Paving work at West Quartzsite Traffic Interchange rescheduled for this Friday, Sept. 15

Plan for overnight closure of all on- and off-ramps

Paving work on the West Quartzsite Traffic Interchange (Exit 17) along Interstate 10 will require closing the east- and westbound ramps overnight this Friday, Sept. 15. This work was originally scheduled to occur overnight Friday, Sept. 8, but was cancelled because of inclement weather.

Crews are scheduled to place a rubberized-asphalt sealant on all four on- and off-ramps between 10 p.m.Friday, Sept. 15, and 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16.
Drivers must use Exit 19 instead.

The work is part of a $2.2 million project that began in April and is scheduled for completion this fall. The project includes widening the existing cross road, extending drainage pipes, installing bridge barrier and lane striping.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. For more information, please call the ADOT Project Information Line at 855.712.8530 or email Projects@azdot.gov.
