Jennifer Garner Dishes On Her Family's Thanksgiving Plans Before Heading To Church With Ex Ben Affleck The Next Morning! Get you someone who can do both! Jennifer Garner was honored for her dedication to children in need around the world on Saturday night at the annual Baby2Baby Gala in Culver City -- just before heading to church with ex Ben Affleck and their three children the next morning. Before accepting her award, ET caught up with the 44-year-old, who dished on her Thanksgiving plans with her family: "I'm cooking! I'm cooking -- always, everything!" The Miracles From Heaven star -- who stunned in a navy gown embellished with fabric flowers -- also chatted about the important work the charity is doing: "Everyone who tries to help kids, we're all just different pieces of the puzzle. But you can't help kids without food in their bellies, you can't help kids without clean bottoms, and you can't help kids without some basic bare essentials, and that's what Baby2Baby takes care of so beautifully." Jennifer was humbled to receive the award from her pal Matthew McConaughey: "It means the world to me that he came all the way out here. What a good pal." Notable attendees at the gala included Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson, Dax Shepherd and wife Kristen Bell, Kelly Rowland, and Molly Sims, plus music by Boyz II Men. Fun! The following morning, Miz Garner headed to church with her not-so-estranged ex and their kiddos, Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and four-year-old son, Samuel. Photogs caught the family heading into the service with smiles on their faces as Ben carried several trays of goodies. An eyewitness said of the sighting: "She was smiling and talking to people. Ben was more reserved -- low-key. He kept to himself. When everyone was greeting each other in the beginning of Mass, both of them stepped out of the pew to shake hands and say good morning with their neighbors." Adding: "They seemed to be happy. They were there for their children." No surprise there! (Perez Hilton)
Did Kendall Jenner Just Delete Her Instagram Account? Model's Profile Goes MIA With No Warning. You are not alone. Kendall Jenner's profile isn't showing up in our Instagram feed either. On Sunday afternoon, fans of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had to do a double take when they were searching for the social media star. No, your phone isn't having technical difficulties. And no, you don't need to restart your device's systems. From all accounts, it appears the model is taking a break from the social media app. When searching for Kendall Sunday evening, you may get a "sorry, this page isn't available" or "no posts yet" when you land on her profile. While the reality star hasn't addressed the Instagram ghosting, fans are breathing a sigh of relief that her Twitter and Facebook accounts are up and running. As the fan theories begin, we can't help but point out the simple fact that Kendall has enjoyed a digital detox here and there in the past. "I definitely have close friends, and even some family members, who are so connected to their phone and can't get off of it," she previously told Allure before describing a vacation where family members weren't experiencing the beauty of their surroundings because of the devices. "That was the moment it kind of clicked for me. And I didn't like it. So sometimes I delete Instagram or Twitter or Snapchat off my phone for a couple days." At the same time, Kendall has one of the most popular celebrity accounts. Need proof? One post earned more likes than any other in 2015. More than three million people approved of a picture showing Kendall lying down with her hair spread out into hearts. If that wasn't enough, the E! star's Throwback Thursday picture was the most liked #TBT of 2015. In other words, people really enjoy keeping up with Kendall's page. Will it be back up soon? We're crossing our fingers. (Eonline)
Brad Pitt made his first promotional appearance for a movie in China since reportedly being banned over a film about Tibet almost 20 years ago. He spent 40 minutes giving autographs to Chinese fans on Monday and 20 minutes at a tightly controlled media event promoting his latest movie. The Chinese government reportedly didn't like his 1997 film "Seven Years in Tibet," about an Austrian explorer's relationship with a young Dalai Lama, because of its portrayal of harsh Chinese rule in the Himalayan region. Reporters were not allowed to ask questions at the event in Shanghai held to publicize the World War II romantic thriller "Allied." Interest is high in his recent divorce from Angelina Jolie. Instead, a host asked a string of questions about "Allied." Pitt did visit China two years ago to accompany his then-partner, who was on a publicity tour, but kept a very low profile. "Allied" debuts on Nov. 23 in China, the U.S. and some European and Asian countries. (Page Six)
Scheana Shay got a lot of heat from her followers after she began promoting weight loss supplement Hydroxycut on her Instagram page, but she is clarifying that even though she is a spokesperson for the brand she did not use it to lose weight. "I actually booked Hydroxycut after I had lost weight the natural and right way to do it -- diet and exercise," the Vanderpump Rules star, 31, tells Wetpaint. "No pills, no gimmicks, no anything. I got on a meal plan, I worked out with a personal trainer. I worked out six days a week for several months and I lost weight." Shay says she was clear that she did not use diet pills to drop the 25 lbs. she has lost in her initial post featuring Hydroxycut, which she shared on Instagram in February. "I said, 'I did not use this to lose the weight,' " she says. "Yes it keeps me energized and yes I'm all about it, but I don't do it every day and that's not what I did initially." Shay says she decided to get healthy after passing her milestone 30th birthday. "I turned 30 last year, and not that I care what other people think, but for my own health at my age, I'm like, I need to get in shape," says Shay, who says she was criticized for having visible back fat in her two-piece wedding dress. "We want to have kids in the next year or five years or whatever," she continues. "If I keep living this lifestyle, it's going to be that much harder to bounce back in my mid-30s after having a child, so I made the decision to get in shape, and I lost weight the right way." Lindsay Lohan got dragged into a brutal mess allegedly involving 2 Russians and a major ass whooping in one of the most outlandish Las Vegas tales we've ever heard. A 24-year-old man told Vegas Metro cops ... 2 men came into his room at the Excalibur last month, took him in the bathroom and asked if he'd been talking smack on LiLo ... this according to a police report obtained by TMZ. The man says he denied saying a peep about Lindsay, but the Russians beat him to a pulp anyway. That's his story and he's sticking to it. So, what's his connection to Lindsay? The alleged victim tells us he met her at Coachella back in April. As for why 2 random Russian dudes tracked him down 6 months later in a different state -- he thinks they recognized him from Coachella. For the record, Lindsay's camp says she doesn't know this guy from a hole in the ground, and cops say he refused to cooperate with their investigation. So, case closed. Some things really should stay in Vegas. (TMZ)
Bill Cosby -- who claims he's too blind to identify his sexual-assault accusers -- could be exploiting his condition in a bid to win sympathy, some close to the case are speculating. The 79-year-old shamed comic's attorneys have said in legal papers that he "has suffered from a degenerative eye condition for years, which has steadily worsened recently to the point that he for [more than] a year has been legally and functionally blind." They added in court papers, "Without his eyesight, Mr. Cosby cannot even determine whether he has ever even seen some of his accusers." According to reports, Cosby suffers from keratoconus, a condition of the cornea that causes the eye to bulge. But keratoconus experts say the condition is treatable and does not lead to blindness. Dr. Gregory Pamel, a leading corneal surgeon and clinical professor of ophthalmology at NYU School of Medicine who has specialized in keratoconus for 20 years, told Page Six, "Keratoconus is treatable. It can be treated with specialty contact lenses in most cases, which would give him some vision, if the condition isn't too advanced. If he has scarring in his cornea, that could require surgery, a corneal transplant." Pamel, who has not treated Cosby, further stated that the disease generally stops progressing in the patient's late 40s, and then remains unchanged, while Cosby is in his late 70s. "I am surprised they are saying he is blind," said Pamel. "Keratoconus is not a blinding condition and should not be referred to in that way." It is possible that Cosby is also suffering from other eye complications, such as glaucoma or macular degeneration -- which, Pamel says, "can all be treated." A source close to the case told us that prosecutors feel Cosby's eyesight claims are an attempt to gain sympathy. Deputy District Attorney Robert Falin blasted a note from Cosby's doctor about his eyesight, saying, "It looks like something you might get at a Lens Crafters." Cosby is accused of drugging and sexually abusing ex-Temple University employee Andrea in 2004. Prosecutors want 13 of the more than 50 women who have accused Cosby of assault to testify. Attorneys for Cosby didn't get back to us. (Page Six)
THE OTHER STUFF . . .
Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson and More Gorgeous Celeb Moms Step Out for 2016 Baby2Baby Gala Honoring Jennifer Garner. It goes without saying, the 2016 Baby2Baby Gala was the place to be. Major A-listers gathered in Los Angeles Saturday evening to support their close pal Jennifer Garner, who received the Baby2Baby Giving Tree Award for her ongoing dedication to children in need around the world. Dressed to the nines in their most stunning threads, Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, Matthew McConaughey, Camila Alves, Christina Aguilera, Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan Tatum and even more came together to raise a whopping $3 million for the charitable organization founded to provide necessities to low-income youth. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard kicked off the evening with a bit of humor, recalling that their own two kids were born "out of a contractual obligation with Samsung" because, "They thought that we would be more relatable when selling refrigerators and washing machines." Following the married couple's opening remarks were speeches by Hudson, Alba, McConaughey and Kelly Rowland, in addition to a performance from Boyz II Men. The entire event was sponsored by Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors Foundation, John Paul Mitchell Systems and Volvo. During Garner's acceptance speech, she reflected on her own experience growing up in near-poverty. "My mom grew up dirt poor with 10 siblings, no running water and no electricity in dustbowl depression in Oklahoma," she said, adding, "I grew up one generation, one holler away from poverty." The actress concluded, "If you tell the world that we are gathering here tonight all dressed up like prom... they might think we're crazy. But the truth is, I've seen this message in action. The tiniest thing can tip the balance from past hope to chance." Also supporting the event were Miranda Kerr and her fiance Evan Spiegel, Selma Blair, Julie Bowen, Rachel Zoe, Busy Philipps, Camilla Belle, Molly Sims, Rachel Bilson, Jaime King and Samantha Ronson. Gigi Hadid Poses Naked on a Horse, Reveals Her Feelings About Zayn Malik's Shirtless Body. Gigi Hadid is baring it all! The 21-year-old model covers the December issue of Allure magazine and not only gives herself the freedom of posing completely nude on the back of a horse, but she allows readers the opportunity to see into her private life a bit, too. As one of the biggest models of the moment with one of the hottest boybander boyfriends of this generation and a handful of equally famous friends, Hadid's name is everywhere, but that's not what she wants to be known for. Her two priorities have always remained the same: a successful career and a good head on her shoulders. In fact, she tells Allure, "I always want to prove myself and to let people know I'm a good person. A lot of people don't realize they're typing this stuff, and that's a lot of negative energy -- regardless of whether we see it or not. People just don't realize the power of their judgment." Part of her struggle with the public has been this on-going idea that she only became a successful model because she has famous parents -- Yolanda Hadid and Mohammed Hadid -- and not because she's talented. In reality, Hadid has been a model-in-the-making her whole life, starting with her interest in photography. "I don't know why, but I just knew," she recalled of her childhood desires to model. "I knew I wanted to make pictures better...I was obsessed with photographers and where models were supposed to fit in. Obviously, I'm not taking iconic pictures as a six-year-old, but I studied models as part of an image, not just as a model, if that makes sense." She continued, "I guess I saw what a lot of people don't see in models, which is that it's hard work, and you're not just another object in the photo." In fact, Hadid won't let anyone say she hasn't worked very hard for her mega-successful modeling career. "I don't know if I got it from riding or school or volleyball or my mom or all of them. But I've always been the person to self-alarm at 4 a.m. to finish a school project," she dished. But serious talk aside, Hadid isn't one to brush off the fun stuff her success has come with -- you know, like dating Zayn Malik and gazing at his shirtless body all the time. "Yeah, that's not hard to look at," she said, thinking about her boyfriend. "I'll never complain about that." With 25 million followers, she's also one of Instagram's most famous faces, which is something that she says has no strategy at all. "I wish I had a strategy to [social media]. I could write a book and make millions," she joked. "But I never feel like I'm working when I'm doing social media. I guess I succeeded at it because it came naturally." However, while writing a book about gaining Instagram followers might not be in her future, she hasn't totally ruled out other realms of the industry...like acting. But, as is the case with anything else in her life, she's not going to do something unless it's great. "I think I'll only do one or two movies in my life, so I want them to be good." Check out her full interview with Allure. (Eonline)
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Embrace the '80s Theme at Luke Hemsworth's Birthday Party. If Luke Hemsworth could turn back time, he'd turn it back to the '80s. So, to celebrate his 36th birthday over the weekend, the Westworld star decided to throw an '80s-themed birthday party. Guests including Laural Barrett, Mark Furze, Miley Cyrus, Eric Haskell, Jaime Haskell, Katie Jensen, Lisa Oberwager, Jen Rossi and Courtney Tyler Seashols -- plus brother Liam Hemsworth and wife Samantha Hemsworth -- got into the spirit, wearing colorful costumes inspired by Luke's decade of birth. The actor even dressed up as comic book and cartoon character He-Man. As he joked on Instagram, "Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me the day I held aloft my magic sword and said 'by the power of greyskull!'" Luke took the '80s theme very seriously. His birthday cake was modeled after Pac-Man and Rubik's Cube, and his wife shared a number of Polaroid pictures with her Instagram followers. A wigged Liam wore a yellow tank top and red shorts, accessorizing with sunglasses, a gold chain and a pink sweatband. Miley, meanwhile, paired a Madonna T-shirt with a leather skirt. Many attendees shared pictures from the California party via Instagram. "Like totally gnarly dude, the 80s are back! #80sparty," Samantha posted, adding that they were "#missingafewpeople." One of those people was Zac Efron, who was in New York. "We missed you!!" Samantha wrote in her photo caption. "You better be in town for the next party!" Luke's brother Chris Hemsworth was also M.I.A., as he was in their native Australia. Needless to say, the party was one they won't soon forget. "Halloween just keeps on giving this year," Laural wrote on Instagram, later adding, "Happy birthday @hemsworthluke ya legend!!" (Eonline)
Lorraine Bracco loved the skateboards that designer James Ford Huniford hung on a wall in his reimagined midcentury model apartment at the Shephard, a former warehouse on West 10th Street in the Village. The skateboards were covered with drawings by Dan Miller, an artist with autism whose work has been collected by MoMA, and is one of many disabled people encouraged by the nonprofit Creative Growth Art Center to express themselves. The Shephard's developer, Miki Naftali, who co-hosted the opening party with Ellen Newhouse, had 44 works by Creative Growth artists on exhibit -- 22 were sold in the first hour. "Art is the greatest thing in life!" raved Bracco, who played a shrink on "The Sopranos." "It's all you really need!" (Page Six)
In case you didn't know, the Beckham's youngest boy, Cruz, has a pretty promising music career ahead of him and the 11-year-old - who posts his videos singing on Youtube - just scored a new manager. Well, momager. Reportedly Victoria Beckham will be taking care of her son's career from now on. Move over, Kris Jenner. VB is certainly a great candidate for the position, with years of experience in the field as a member of the world phenomenon that was the Spice Girls. But apparently dad David isn't super keen on the mum-of-four taking on the responsibility because she already does so much (world-renowned fashion designer and four kids, anyone?). A source told Closer that David thinks that someone like Scooter Braun, Justin Bieber's manager, could take Cruz's career to the next level. Cruz's videos have also reportedly been spotted by big-shots like Simon Cowell, who is interested in working with the youngest Beckham boy. He's definitely one to watch out for... (British Glamour)
What do you do if you want to beat the John Lewis Christmas ad ratings? Well, you employ one of the biggest men in TV at the moment to sing the soundtrack on yours. Yes, James Corden's lent his voice to Sainsbury's for their annual Christmas ad and he's already getting some serious love on social media. The animated ad revolves around a father who's overworked, overtired and time-poor. He's seen trying to juggle commuting, work and day-to-day life but every night when he tries to get home in time to see his kids, he's always too late. In one scene he gets home and realizes his children have made gingerbread clones of him and have put them by their bed. From that moment on he realizes he needs to make replicas of himself (dancing robots, nodding dogs etc.) in order to get everything done so that he will be able to spend Christmas day with his family. Over the top of the three minute and 20 second ad you can hear Corden singing, The Greatest Gift for Christmas is Me. Being a whole one minute and 20 seconds longer than the John Lewis ad, we're glad Corden's had some serious practice warming up his voice with Carpool Karaoke this year. (British Glamour)
Apollo Nida will appear on 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' from prison and he's bringing his new mystery fiancee along for the ride too ... TMZ has learned. Sources close to production tell us Apollo started dating the woman 2 years ago ... before he started his prison sentence, and they got engaged a couple months ago. We're told the woman lives in NJ, not far from the federal prison where he's serving his sentence ... and she visits twice a week. She and Apollo have both shot scenes for the upcoming 'RHOA' season -- he's on by phone -- and we're told producers want to keep her identity under wraps until the episode airs. The 2 big questions: NO, the fiancee did not shoot scenes with Apollo's ex, but Phaedra Parks' reaction to the relationship was captured -- and NO ... the fiancee doesn't have a ring. Diamonds are frowned upon in federal lockup. (TMZ)
Courtney Love says Hillary Clinton loves to gossip about "who's f?-?-?king who" and "who's getting fat." "I love her. She calls me 'Court,'?" rocker Love told Refinery29 of the losing presidential candidate. She added that "[we met] in 1998 while we were both getting our hair cut with Sally Hershberger, and we had good gossip .?.?. She's a good gossip. I like her." Tom Brady Says He is Done Talking Politics For Good, Breaks Promise to Reveal Election Vote. "There's nothing positive that comes of it. There's been so much negativity over the last week." It appears Tom Brady wasn't joking last week when he said he was done talking politics at the behest of his wife, model Gisele Bündchen. During his weekly radio interview with Boston's Kirk and Callahan on WEEI-FM, the New England Patriots' star quarterback said he was done talking politics when he was asked to make good on a promise he made to reveal who he voted for in the presidential election. Brady has said numerous times that he is a friend of Donald Trump's, but he never got into specifics about whether he thought the billionaire businessman would make a good present. On Monday, he said he would never get into it. "I know, I know, but I'm not talking politics anymore," Brady said when pushed to keep his word on the election reveal. "I've got other things to worry about. Just speaking with my family, it's a bad idea. I know I told you I would, and then after I told you I would, I changed my mind." Brady was asked last week after practice about Trump using his name in the final days leading up to the election to court voters in that area of the country. At the time, Brady sidestepped the question and said Bündchen told him to knock off the political gab. "I just don't want to get into it, I really don't," Brady said Monday. "There's nothing positive that comes of it. There's been so much negativity over the last week. I'm a positive person, and I just want to keep things positive." The radio hosts kept pressing Brady for anything, including whether he was happy his friend made it to the White House. Again, Brady held firm. "I don't want to express any emotions and any feelings," he said. "You know what I am? I'm hopeful and optimistic our country and move forward. I'm happy the election is over. I'm sure a lot of other people are. I'm going to focus on football." (Hollywood Reporter)

Lin-Manuel Miranda Would Love to Work With Jennifer Lopez Again. We know Jennifer Lopez and Lin-Manuel Miranda are pretty busy these days, but hopefully they can carve out some time to collaborate again. The Hamilton impresario would love to see that happen. "It was a dream to work with her," Miranda told me at the Governors Awards. "It came at a very crazy time in my life. We literally recorded it during my final weeks of Hamilton. We rehearsed for the Today show the day after I left the show. So I'd love to work with her in a less stressful time." For those who may not remember, JLo and Miranda joined forces on a song called "Love Make the World Go Round," a tribute to those affected by the Orlando massacre at Pulse nightclub. Lopez, Miranda and Epic Records donated 100 percent of their proceeds from each U.S. download sale of the song on iTunes from July 8 to Oct. 5 to the Hispanic Federation for the Somos Orlando Fund. Miranda wrote the song, which was released on July 8. They performed "Love Make the World Go Round" on NBC's Today just three days later. In what became the worst mass shooting in U.S. history, a gunman shot dead 49 people and injured dozens of others at the gay nightclub on June 11. The Tony Awards, which took place the next day in New York City, were dedicated to the victims and their loved ones. Miranda is the primary songwriter for Disney's upcoming animated film Moana. He is also co-starring opposite Emily Blunt in the Mary Poppins sequel. (Eonline)
Sarah Hyland Can Sing?! You Don't Want to Miss Hearing Her Hidden Musical Talent. Sarah Hyland is an ultra-talented young actress, but who knew she could also sing? The Modern Family star recently partnered up with rock band Boyce Avenue to perform a cover of The Chainsmokers' hit song, "Closer," and let's just say we can't stop playing it. Sarah has some major pipes, so consider this an official petition to get this girl a recording contract! But after a little digging we realized Hyland's latest vocal performance isn't the first time she's blessed fans with her little known musical talent. In fact, long before TV lovers knew her as Haley Dunphy, the 25-year-old was a budding child star with a killer voice. In 1999, Hyland starred in the big screen adaptation of Annie, singing her way through musical classics like "It's the Hard-Knock Life" and "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile." She went on to make her Broadway debut in 2006's Grey Gardens before reviving her love of musical theater in the 2014 stage adaptation of Hair alongside Kristen Bell. Earlier this year, Sarah briefly opened up about potentially releasing an album of her own. "My boyfriend [Dominic Sherwood] got me a guitar, because he's like, 'I love your music and you should be able to write and compose your own music,'" she told Entertainment Tonight. "I thought that was really sweet, but I don't know," the actress remarked. "Maybe if I start getting bored? I'm not ruling it out!" Music to our ears! (Eonline)
Marshmello Rock Giant Mannequin Challenge at Sold-Out LA Show. What do Hillary Clinton, Paul McCartney, Michelle Obama, and Lebron James have in common with Marshmello? They've all vied to be the most "omg" mannequin challenge of them all, and while it's cool to stand still and listen to Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles" with the FLOTUS, it's a whole 'nother beast to get more than 6,000 people to stand still. Marshmello went for the biggest mannequin challenge yet with his sold-out crowd at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. It's not the tightest version. You can't really get everyone in such large a place to figure it out, but it is still rather impressive. Maybe it's even more impressive when the crowd starts jumping up and down. That's a lot of people to perform for, and Marshmello did it three nights in a row. (Billboard)

Dave Chappelle Jam with Lenny Kravitz on Radiohead's 'Creep' at 'SNL' Afterparty. Bradley Cooper was there too, of course. After crushing it on Saturday Night Live with a moving, powerful opening monologue, Dave Chappelle kept the hits coming at the show's legendary afterparty with the help of a few musical friends. And, of course, Bradley Cooper. According to video posted by Roots drummer Questlove -- who was at New York's Cutting Room for the early morning affair -- Chappelle hoped on stage after his first SNL hosting gig with an all-star band to rip off a cover of Radiohead's "Creep" with help from house band Frederic Yonnet & The Band With No Name. SNL cast member Leslie Jones caught some of the action, including video of Lenny Kravitz on the drums earlier in the evening. Her Instagram was proof of the night's epic nature. And she got to chime in on the Radiohead cover. Busta Rhymes was there. There was some James Brown action going down. Madonna showed up. And, duh, Bradley Cooper. (Billboard)

Beauty and the Beast Trailer: Emma Watson and Dan Stevens Bring the Disney Classic to Life. Beauty and the Beast may be the most anticipated movie of 2017. When the first teaser trailer was released in the spring, it was viewed a record 91.8 million times in its first 24 hours -- beating the likes of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (88 million views), Captain America: Civil War (61 million views) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (55 million views). The teaser trailer focused on Beast's castle and offered only a glimpse of the beloved princess. The live-action adaptation boasts an ensemble cast that includes Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as LeFou, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, Audra McDonald as Madame de Garderobe, Ewan McGregor as Lumière, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Dan Stevens as Beast, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza and Emma Watson as Belle. Entertainment Weekly gave fans their first look at all the characters in its Nov. 11 issue. On Monday, Good Morning America debuted the first full-length trailer for Disney's movie musical. As was true of Alice in Wonderland (2010), Maleficent (2014), Cinderella (2015), The Jungle Book (2016) and Pete's Dragon (2016), Walt Disney Pictures' Beauty and the Beast was reinterpreted to appeal to modern audiences. "It wasn't about changing anything," producer David Hoberman insisted. "It was about adding dimension to it. We give [fans] everything that they expect and more -- no more for more's sake, more for story's sake and character's sake." Beauty and the Beast was the third highest-grossing film of 1991 (and the first animated movie to be nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars). But times have change since then. "I definitely had issues with the script at the beginning," recalled Watson, who is a U.N. Women Goodwill Ambassador. "We tried to tweak things to make Belle more proactive and a bit more in charge of her own destiny. In the animated movie, it's her father who is the inventor, and we actually co-opted that for Belle. We created a backstory for her, which was that she had invented a kind of washing machine, so that instead of doing laundry, she could sit and use that time to read." Even Belle's look is different. "My Belle is very practical. In the [animated] movie she wears these little ballet shoes, and I knew that they had to go," Watson told EW. "If you're going to ride a horse and tend to your garden and fix machinery, then you need to be in proper boots." Similarly, Belle's ballroom gown -- a gift from Madame Garderobe -- was altered at her request. "For Emma, it was important that the dress was light and that it had a lot of movement," costume designer Jacqueline Durran said. "In Emma's reinterpretation, Belle is an active princess. She did not want a dress that was corseted or that would impede her in any way." The new Beauty and the Beast will also include two new musical numbers, courtesy of Alan Menken. The trickiest to shoot, of course, was "Be Our Guest." Bill Condon saw the animated film "many times when it first opened in '91," and it's a "favorite." So, he realized early on that "Be Our Guest" would make or break the live-action version. "It's interesting to do our biggest musical number with nobody there, except for some cutaways to Belle," the director said. "We just spent months and months and months. It's the most intricate thing I've ever worked on." Tell that to Stevens, who essentially had to film all his scenes twice. First, he would act out his character's physical movements on set, using stilts to enhance his height -- all while wearing a bodysuit with tracking markers to create a CG rendering of the beast's body. Then, he would sit and act out his scenes in front of a bank of cameras while wearing ultraviolet face makeup. "I had a chat with a couple of people who know this world," he said. "When I told Mark Ruffalo [who plays Marvel's Hulk] what we were trying to do, he was just like, 'No, that's impossible.'" Of course, nothing is impossible when Disney is involved. Menken saw an early cut of the film, and the composer was "kind of overwhelmed" by the experience. "It sounded great. It looked great," he told Entertainment Weekly. "I'm excited for the rest of the world to be seeing it." Beauty and the Beast is in theaters March 17, 2017. (Eonline)
Emma Stone Fangirls Over Manchester By the Sea's Lucas Hedges. It's good to be Lucas Hedges. Not only is the 19-year-old Brooklyn native getting all sorts of Oscar buzz for his performance in Manchester By the Sea, but it turns out Emma Stone is also a big fan his work in the Kenneth Lonergan drama. In fact, the La La Land star "fangirled" when she was introduced to Hedges at the Governors Awards. She apparently had seen Manchester By the Sea back in September at the Telluride Film Festival. "It was really cute," a source says of the night's chit-chat. "At the end she said, 'From one redhead to another!'" Too adorable. Manchester By the Sea tells the story of a building handyman (Casey Affleck) who must return to his hometown after his brother dies to take care of his nephew (Hedges) and is forced to face his ex-wife (Michelle Williams) and their tragic past. Coincidentally, Hedges also was seen being introduced for the first time to Stone's ex-boyfriend Andrew Garfield on the Governors Awards' red carpet. The gala included the presentation of honorary Oscars to Jackie Chan, film editor Anne V. Coates, casting director Lynn Stalmaster and documentary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman. Cara Delevingne and Rihanna take to space in the new trailer for Valerian, from The Fifth Element director Luc Besson - and it looks AWESOME. The film is based on the hugely popular French comic series Valerian and Laureline, by Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mezières, and Cara plays Laureline, a space and time-travelling special agent (!!) who teams up with Valerian (Dane DeHaan) when their boss Commander Arün Filitt (Clive Owen) sends them on a mission to Alpha, a planet filled with different life forms, not all of whom get along. Valerian would rather like to get on with Laureline, thank you very much, but he's too much of a player for Laureline to be interested. Hmm. I wonder if that will change over the course of the film. It also stars Rihanna, rocking some pretty incredibly blonde waves as an entertainer called Bubble, and the French actor Mathieu Kassovitz, who will probably end up playing the villain because that's inevitably what happens when he is cast and Vincent Kassel isn't. Valerian is released in summer 2017, and we haven't seen anything this all-round incredibly good-looking since the last Victoria's Secret show. Bring it on! (British Glamour)
'Hacksaw Ridge', 'Allied' Land China Release Dates. The country's usually strict quota on foreign film imports continues to expand, as regulators rush to counteract a slowdown in box-office growth. Desperate times call for desperate measures? Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge and Robert Zemeckis' Allied, starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard, have both secured theatrical release dates in China, as the country's film regulators appear to be scrambling to counteract a sudden slowdown in box-office growth. Allied will arrive on Chinese screens on Wednesday Nov. 30 and Hacksaw Ridge will open on Thursday Dec. 8. In an ordinary year, China's release calendar for Hollywood titles would be set in stone by now, since the country runs a quota that allows the import of just 34 foreign films per year on revenue-sharing terms. But after China's box-office growth for the year slowed to just 4.7 percent by the end of October -- a drastic deceleration compared to 2015's huge 48 percent growth rate -- regulators began loosening up. At current count, there will be about 40 Hollywood films released in China through the quota system by the end of 2016. China's 2016 release calendar also is bucking past precedent by letting a couple of Hollywood titles squeak into December. International films are usually blocked from the market for the full final month of the year, as China operates one of its "blackout periods," boosting local film companies by giving them an uncontested run at cinemas. Preventing full-year box office growth from possibly dipping into the negative appears to be the bigger priority this year, however. Other major overseas films heading to China in the weeks ahead include: Deepwater Horizon on Tuesday; Disney's Moana and Warner Bros.' Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on Nov. 25; and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and Japanese anime smash hit Your Name on Dec. 2. (Hollywood Reporter)

Mark Wahlberg plays a Boston police sergeant on the hunt for the Boston Marathon bombers in Patriots Day. CBS Films and Lionsgate released the first official trailer for their upcoming movie on Monday morning. Based on the actual April 15, 2013, bombing, the film finds Wahlberg's character, Tommy Saunders, joining courageous survivors, first responders and investigators in a race against the clock to hunt down the bombers before they strike again. The plot weaves together the stories of special agent Richard DesLauriers (Kevin Bacon), police commissioner Ed Davis (John Goodman), Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese (J.K. Simmons) and nurse Carol Saunders (Michelle Monaghan). The film is set to close the 2016 AFI Fest on Thursday. An accompanying fundraising campaign that will aid charities in the Boston area that honor or provide services for the first responders, medical professionals and survivors of the bombing kicks off Nov. 21. More details can be found here. Patriots Day was co-financed by CBS Films and Lionsgate with the former handling production and marketing and the latter handling distribution. Peter Berg directed the movie, which also stars Alex Wolff, Themo Melikidze, James Colby, Michael Beach, Rachel Brosnahan, Christopher O'Shea, Jake Picking, Jimmy O. Yang, Vincent Curatola, Melissa Benoist and Khandi Alexander. The film opens Dec. 21 in Boston, New York and Los Angeles and expands nationwide Jan. 13. (Hollywood Reporter)
Marco Mueller Discusses His Sudden Exit as Macao Film Festival Threatens to Sue. Festival organizers said they were considering suing the veteran festival director for his abrupt resignation, less than a month before the festival is set to open. Marco Mueller is opening up about his sudden resignation from the Macao International Film Festival and Awards (IFFAM). The industry veteran gave the global film festival community a shock on Saturday by announcing that he was departing the festival he helped create less than a month before its inaugural edition. Mueller's surprise announcement of his exit preempted a press conference the Macao festival held Monday to unveil the lineup of films that would show at the event. Addressing their festival director's sudden flight, members of the event's organizing team said they were contemplating legal action against him. Speaking by phone from Macao, Mueller tells THR that the reason for his resignation was "diverging opinions on the way a festival was to be run, especially the inaugural edition of the festival." He declined to elaborate and wouldn't say whether a specific incident prompted his departure. A mainstay of the festival circuit and a fluent Mandarin Chinese speaker, Mueller previously headed the Locarno, Venice and Rome film festivals, as well as the Beijing and Fuzhou Silk Road film festivals in China. "They said they are going to sue me," he adds. "It's inconceivable that they would talk first, when normally they should have called me, instead of announcing it to the press." Mueller says he signed an "agreement, not a contract" with the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), before their working relationship began. "That's why I was really shocked that, at the press conference, the MGTO and the MFTPA (Macau Films & Television Productions and Culture Association) mentioned that they are contemplating legal action," he adds. The festival lineup that the IFFAM unveiled Monday was the same one that he and a team of international consultants had put together though, according to Mueller. "I think we have done tremendous work," he says. "We have been very busy putting together this program. Imagine how it is, to try and sell a festival that has not existed so far, to try and sell Macau, a tiny dot on the geographical map." The plan to create a new festival in Macau, the former Portuguese colony turned wealthy casino enclave in southern China, was announced at the Berlin International Film Festival last February -- and it was news that many in the industry cheered, as an opportunity for deeper engagement with the fast-growing Chinese movie world. The lineup unveiled Monday includes an international competition section; a "Hidden Dragons" section representing the latest trends in contemporary Asian genre cinema; a Best of Fest program of award-winning features from other festivals, and a Crossfire category of a dozen films selected by renowned East Asian filmmakers. Notably, there were no Hollywood films included throughout the festival's first lineup. Mueller declined to reveal whether the decision not to include Hollywood titles was what caused the split of opinion among the organizing committee. "The potential success of the festival this year will prove that there is space for another festival in this part of Asia, and the media and the industry will be present," says Mueller. "Starting from next year, you can imagine big Hollywood films coming to the festival. You have to clarify your national and international media policy, and your industry and market policy." Speculation has been rife in Macau since the news of his resignation was made public. The Macau Daily Times quoted unnamed sources as saying that the festival's local organizing team was chaotic and rife with nepotism, where people with no experience in films or film festivals were put into positions of importance. As for leaving a festival he has helped nurture since its inception, Mueller says he is conflicted. "I feel serene, because we have worked hard [and] we have done everything that we tried to do. But of course, at the same time, I'm very sad to leave the festival before it's begun. So many films are waiting for their world, international or Asian premiere in Macau, but I'm sure a team is there; they know how to take care of the films. And the international consultants will be there to help -- to take good care of each and every film." Next for the renowned festival director -- now that he suddenly has some flexibility in his schedule -- is a trip to India. "For many years I have been a mentor for the Work in Progress Lab in Goa. So I'm traveling to India to be a mentor in a big culture workshop," Mueller says. But it seems, his mind is still in Macau. "Actually, another wonderful film in the [IFFAM] festival program is the world premiere of Gurgaon. It is a film that I discovered in the Work in Progress Lab last year," he says. "I've been following the post-production of the film. It can only be described as such a beautiful film." (Hollywood Reporter)

The Walking Dead Finally Returns to Alexandria, Where Everything Is Appropriately Awful. This week on The Walking Dead, we got our first glimpse at life at Alexandria now that everyone's under Negan's thumb. And -- what do you know! -- everything was completely awful. Everyone was appropriately shell shocked when we caught up with them, just in time for Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) to arrive earlier than advertised, alongside 50 of his favorite Saviors to ransack Alexandria and take everything Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the gang had left. And we do mean everything: Mattresses, furniture, every single gun in the armory, a video camera with Grizzly Adams Rick talking about killing people. Curiously, he left all their food. We guess starving people aren't the best to continually gather stuff for you to just take from them. In the end, though, Rosita's (Christian Serratos) still managed to hang on to the empty gun she found on a walker while out collecting Darryl's (Norman Reedus) bike for Dwight (Austin Amelio) with Spencer (Austin Nichols). She showed up at Eugene's (Josh McDermitt) door in the final minutes holding the empty shell that Negan left behind after shooting out a window for no good reason. "Make me a bullet," she demanded. This can't end well. While the episode did little else besides giving us yet another reminder that Negan is a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad guy who feels the most comic book-y of all the characters to leap from the source material to the TV show, there were a few interesting developments. When Negan made his stomach-churning request over Maggie's (Lauren Cohan) whereabouts, Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) proved that he isn't completely useless after all with some very quick thinking (and even quicker digging) that convinced the villain that the mom-to-be died as well. Carl (Chandler Riggs) reminded us that he's the worst when he pulled a gun on the Savior taking all of Alexandria's medicine, playing tough despite having been there when Negan murdered two of his friends and almost losing his hand in the process. Read the room, Carl. And get a haircut, too. And Spencer revealed himself to be the most vocal of the growing numbers of Alexandrians who don't trust Rick's leadership anymore. "That's it. It's over. This is our life now. This is where Rick got us," he told Rosita. "Maybe if Rick thought it through, it would be different. People might still be with us. This is where are. We just got to learn to live with it." Though, as Rick made clear, he's given up total control to Negan. "There is no way out of this," he told his people as he attempted to root out the two missing guns that put Olivia's life in peril. "Let me put this to you all as clearly as I can: I'm not in charge anymore. Negan is. With Rick giving up, who will rise up and take charge to lead the fight against Negan? That remains to be seen, but something tells us Michonne (Danai Gurira) isn't going to accept this new reality as easily as Rick hopes. The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC. (Eonline)
Billy Bush could be going from radioactive to hot again after President-elect Donald Trump's surprise upset on Election Day. A source tells Page Six that Breitbart News -- the conservative Web site that's headed by Trump's top adviser Steve Bannon -- is interested in luring Bush for its coverage of Hollywood. "They are trying to recruit Billy Bush," said a media insider of Breitbart. "They want to expand covering Hollywood in a big way -- and think Billy would be perfect for the job." As part of his settlement, Bush is not under any "noncompete clause," so he can go to a "Today" competitor. But while Breitbart currently includes its Big Hollywood blog about the entertainment industry, it lacks a TV network. With Trump's victory, Bush could be embraced by alt-conservatives, although he's likely still toxic to traditional Hollywood liberal outlets so soon after the election. Either way, "Billy's ego is big," said a media insider. "He likes to be a TV star, and would want to go to a rival like ABC or CBS." (Since his firing, the only gig that's even been rumored for Bush was an appearance on "Dancing With the Stars," which sources shot down.) Bush was last month ignominiously axed from NBC's "Today" after the 2005 video from his former show, "Access Hollywood," surfaced in which he and Trump were caught in crude conversation -- including Trump's now-infamous, "grab 'em by the p?-?-?-?y" line. In the wake of the scandal, Bush was suspended and then canned from his then-just-landed "Today" dream job, but walked away with a reported $10 million. While Bush was cast out of the TV world after the incident, Trump went on to be elected president. Bush posted pics of himself at the polls on Election Day, and one fan commented: "Why is Billy Bush out of NBC for what he listened to but Trump is elected president after all is has said and done." (Bush -- a cousin of Jeb and George W. Bush -- did not publicly reveal who he voted for.) A rep for Bush didn't comment. (Page Six)
Amazon Renews Tig Notaro's 'One Mississippi' for Second Season. The series, created by Notaro and Diablo Cody with Kate Robin serving as showrunner, follows Notaro's return to her hometown in Mississippi when her mother unexpectedly dies. Amazon has renewed One Mississippi, created by Tig Notaro and Diablo Cody, for a second season, which will start streaming in 2017. The series stars Notaro in a semi-autobiographical story of a woman who, still reeling from her own declining health, returns to her childhood hometown of Bay Saint Lucille, Mississippi to deal with the unexpected death of her mother, the one person who actually understood her. As she deals with the tragedy and events from her past, the series becomes an exploration of family. "Making a show as comic and tragic as One Mississippi is a risk. Pulling it off with such intelligence and nuance is rare," said Amazon's head of comedy and drama, Joe Lewis, in a statement. "We're grateful for the audience response and we're excited to bring them more of Tig and Kate's brilliance in season two." In 2012, the stand-up comedian nearly died from a bacterial infection called C. Diff, went through a break-up, suffered the untimely death of her mother and was diagnosed with cancer. She relayed the series of tragic events in a legendary stand-up routine, "Hello, I Have Cancer," which made her an overnight sensation. Although she's since recounted the events in subsequent TV specials, documentaries and in a memoir, One Mississippi is her first scripted, half-hour TV comedy. One Mississippi also stars Noah Harpster, John Rothman and Notaro's wife Stephanie Allynne. Kate Robin serves as showrunner, with Notaro, Cody, Robin, Louis C.K., M. Blair Breard and Dave Becky serving as executive producers. Ahead of the second-season renewal, Notaro told The Hollywood Reporter some of her early ideas for where the show could head next, including whether or not Tig would pursue Kate, who is played by Allyne. The pair have 4-month-old twin sons Max and Finn. "The Kate part is obviously a hint or tease that maybe there's something there," she said, adding that she and Allyne, who is also a writer on the series, watched the season twice and took notes on what they thought would be interesting to add. "I broke up with Brooke, will that be the end of Brooke? I don't know. I love Casey Wilson and she makes me laugh harder than most people alive, so it's hard to say we're done with her. But maybe we will." She continued, "because Stephanie is my wife and person in real life, I think people assume I'm going to end up with Kate. Will I? I don't know. Maybe, maybe not. That's been the fun part of it." Notaro said she's enjoyed taking liberty with some of the storylines, even though it was hard for her at first to steer from her own reality of losing her mother. "What's funny is that one of the notes about the show was that I had too many romantic interests," she said of her three love interests Kate (Allyne), Brooke (Wilson) and Jessie (Jill Bartlett). "I don't mean to be braggadocios, but there was actually a fourth person in the real story. The Jessie character was a real relationship that went back and forth and it was not the one for me, but it was so helpful in my healing. There's more to that story but I don't know if I'm going to tell it." Though the comedian said her comedy no longer focuses on her cancer or her grief, she said One Mississippi will "probably follow some of the older storylines but into newer territory and more fictional topics." She added, "People ask about my standup, 'Are you going to close the chapter on the close association you have with cancer and people knowing you with that?' And I say, 'If it feels right to let it go.' And it has. I don't talk about having cancer in my standup anymore. I don't have cancer. But if it comes up for me again, that I'm going through something, I'm going to talk about it. I'm going to do whatever feels right whenever it feels right." The comedy, which was initially set up as a script deal at FX but moved to Amazon, hails from C.K.'s FX Productions-based Pig Newton banner. The first season of One Mississippi is currently available for Amazon's Prime Video subscribers. (Hollywood Reporter)

"If I keep living this lifestyle, it's going to be that much harder to bounce back in my mid-30s after having a child, so I made the decision to get in shape, and I lost weight the right way." Bill Cosby -- who claims he's too blind to identify his sexual-assault accusers -- could be exploiting his condition in a bid to win sympathy, some close to the case are speculating. (Page Six)

I like her." So now that this whole White House thing is out the window, perhaps Clinton would like a job at Page Six? (Page Six)
Tom Brady Says He is Done Talking Politics For Good, Breaks Promise to Reveal Election Vote.

(Billboard)

David Bowie's Friends, Bandmates Planning All-Star Birthday Show. David Bowie's friends and former bandmates will get together on what would have been the singer's 70th birthday on January 8 for a celebration of the singer's life and music.

'Patriots Day' Trailer: Mark Wahlberg Races to Find Boston Marathon Bombers Amid Tragedy. The film opens Dec. 21 in Boston, New York and Los Angeles and expands nationwide Jan. 13.
