Prince Harry Has Fallen Hard for Girlfriend Meghan Markle as Their Relationship Gets "Serious." Prince Harry isn't messing around when it comes to his new relationship. Just a few short days after it was revealed that the royal family member and Meghan Markle are dating, E! News is learning more about this private pairing. For starters, the pair has many similar interests including a passion for philanthropic work and helping others. While some may know the actress for her role in USA Network's Suits, Meghan serves as a Global Ambassador for World Vision. She also has an interest in foreign relations and loves traveling around the world. As for reports that Prince Harry is considering getting engaged, our source says that the romance is serious even if the majority of royal family watchers are just learning about the relationship this week. "It wouldn't surprise me if he's already thinking about engagement just because that's where his head goes but that's not where the relationship is at right now," our source shared. "This is totally Harry. The problem with Harry is when he falls, he falls hard. He goes in big time." Before you think this romance is one-sided, E! News has learned that Meghan is just as happy with the special man in her life. "It is serious though," s source shared. "Meghan would say it's serious too, both of them do think that way." We also can't help but acknowledge that Meghan admitted to a Canadian newspaper this week that she was "the luckiest girl in the world!" While fans may be hoping for a shot of the two on a red carpet or public outing, all signs point to a couple trying to keep their private lives private. Fortunately, they have the backing of friends and family members including Prince Charles who has already met the special lady. "Everybody is thrilled for Harry and totally supports him," our source added. (Eonline)

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's Divorce Has Been Finalized. While Mariah Carey has currently found herself in the middle of the media frenzy surrounding her split from James Packer, she's also been quietly dealing with her divorce from Nick Cannon, too. E! News can confirm the former couple's divorce has been finalized. The America's Got Talent host filed for divorce from the singer in January of 2015, though he originally announced their split in August 2014. Since then, they've been working out the details of the divorce but have remained entirely amicable. They were married for six years after tying the knot in 2008, and they have two children together, Moroccan and Monroe, who they continue to co-parent. In fact, over the summer Nick promised he and Mariah remain united following their split for the sake of their family. "My ex and I are in a great place and are diligently moving things along so we both can continue to be happy," he said in an interview in June. "I am happy for her and all her new endeavors, both personal ones and professional ones. I sincerely hope the media doesn't once again try to manipulate my words...As the world knows, I am an open book and I'm proud of that." He continued, "I've been reflecting quite a bit on my life as a father and how I want to be the best one I can be, the way my father figures were to me. So with that said, I just ask that the public continues to respect our process and remain patient and loving as me and my family aim for happiness." The former couple was most recently spotted together at a Halloween party last weekend with their kids. Meanwhile, Mariah has currently been dealing with her breakup from James Packer. The billionaire businessman ended his engagement with the singer last week, which we're told completely "blindsided" Mariah who only found out about it through the media. A source revealed to E! News earlier this week, "The split has been devastating for Mariah. She loved James and was planning to marry him...She made life changes for this man to prepare for their future as husband and wife, even relocating to L.A., at James' request, so he could be closer to his children." The insider added, "Everything she has done over the past year is to prove how fully committed she is to their life together. She really wanted this to work. And then, completely out of the blue, it imploded." We're also told the breakdown of the relationship "started in Greece" with "some sort of outburst [from Packer] that everyone heard." The father of three reportedly made a reference about things becoming "too much," saying, "I don't know if I can do this. I can barely take care of my own children." (Eonline)
Zayn Malik Reveals Struggle With ADHD. Zayn Malik continues to let his fans in on some of his biggest secrets. The former One Direction crooner released his memoir, Zayn, Tuesday, and inside Zayn opens up about some of his biggest struggles, including anxiety and a past eating disorder. But when he was younger Zayn writes that he was a wild child, and it wasn't until plenty of time had passed that he learned what was wrong. "[Growing up] I was pretty wild. I could never focus, couldn't get a handle on where my brain wanted to go. I was constantly getting in trouble," he writes. "Once, when I was at Tong High School, I was collared for a BB gun in class. It wasn't loaded or anything, but me waving it around didn't go down too well. I was later diagnosed by doctors as having super-hyperactivity -- or ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) as they like to label it." Zayn, who also has been honest about his anxiety, revealed in an interview that while he was touring with 1D he developed an eating disorder. "When I look back at images of myself from around November 2014, before the final tour, I can see how ill I was," Malik, 23, said. "Something I've never talked about in public before, but which I have come to terms with since leaving the band, is that I was suffering from an eating disorder." "It wasn't as though I had any concerns about my weight or anything like that. I'd just go for days -- sometimes two or three days straight -- without eating anything at all," the British pop star confessed. "It got quite serious, although at the time I didn't recognize it for what it was." (Later in the interview, Malik downplayed the seriousness his claims. "I don't think I ever had an eating disorder," he added. "I was never diagnosed with one of them.") Given the ups and downs he was experiencing, Malik writes that it was his mom who ultimately gave him the courage to leave the band. "I was spiraling down into a very unhappy, very unhealthy place. I needed to reconnect with my family and feel some normality again," he writes. "Finally, it was my mom who gave me the reassurance I needed to go with my decision. She said, 'If it doesn't make you happy, just don't do it.'" (Eonline)
Val Kilmer Says He Doesn't Have Cancer: ''I Love Michael Douglas but He Is Misinformed.'' Val Kilmer is very grateful for all the well wishes, but they may be a bit unnecessary. According to multiple reports, Michael Douglas was in London over the weekend participating in a Q&A when the topic of his 1996 film The Ghost and the Darkness came up. That's when Douglas decided to share some insight on Kilmer's health, alleging that the celeb was also battling throat cancer. "The picture didn't turn out as well as I hoped but I had a wonderful time," he reportedly told host Jonathan Ross. "Val was a wonderful guy who is dealing with exactly what I had, and things don't look too good for him." The actor added, "My prayers are with him. That's why you haven't heard too much from Val lately." Well, while the sentiments were nice, Kilmer felt like he had to speak out about the matter, because he actually doesn't have cancer. The 56-year-old took to his Facebook page to set the record straight on his health. "I love Michael Douglas but he is misinformed. The last time I spoke to him was almost two years ago, when I asked him for a referral for a specialist to get a diagnosis for a lump in my throat, which prevented me from continuing a tour of my play CITIZEN TWAIN. I ended up using a team at UCLA and have no cancer whatsoever. I still have a swollen tongue and am rehabbing steadily." He continued, "Some fans have mistakenly thought my silence about my personal issues meant that somehow I wasn't being responsible to my health, because of my reliance on prayer and Love. Nothing could be further from the truth. Altho I am very grateful for all the support from around the world, when people found out I had a physical challenge. I hope this puts to rest any further concerns about my health by publications that have no respect for the truth. Whatever led Michael Douglas to speculate about my health, he's a loving and devoted friend to a privileged group of talent people around the world, and I'm sure he meant no harm." For those who may not remember, Douglas beat stage 4 oral cancer back in 2013. As for Val, he was treated at a hospital in 2015, which ended up sparking rumors about his own health. "Thank you all for your love and support. There's a rumor I'm unwell again and in hospital which is totally untrue," Val wrote on Facebook last October. "I was in to verify I have no tumor or infection of any kind, which was verified by the very caring experts at UCLA." (Eonline)
Taylor Swift provided a blow-by-blow account of the moment she says a Denver radio DJ groped her and her testimony got graphic and emotional. Attorneys for the DJ, David Mueller, grilled Taylor during a deposition ... asking her about the alleged incident during a 2013 meet and greet. She says, "As soon as he grabbed my ass, I became shocked and withdrawn and was barely able to say, 'Thanks for coming,' which is what I say to everybody." Taylor says she was posing for a photo with Mueller and his female companion and says she was so shocked at what happened, "It was like somebody switched the lights off in my personality." She made it clear the grab happened completely underneath her clothing -- "He reached up under my skirt and grabbed my ass right when I was having to pose for a photo, and it felt intentional that would be the time he would choose to do it." As we reported, Taylor convinced the judge in the case to keep the photo with Mueller under seal. When Mueller's attorney pressed her on what exactly the photo shows, she said ... "It's impossible to know if that was in the moment before or as he's grabbed on, but I was there, so I felt it, so I didn't just see it in a photo afterward." (TMZ)
Mariah Carey has demanded $50 million from ex-fiance James Packer because that is the amount she would have walked away with had they signed their prenup. TMZ has seen an email chain from back in mid-February going back and forth, from Mariah's team to Packer's. The billionaire was clearly itching to tie the knot with Mariah, upset that his people were not moving fast enough to nail down the prenup so he could marry her on March 1st in Bora Bora. Packer's lawyers clearly felt the prenup was complicated, sending Mariah's team a 100-page document outlining the specifics. The details in the document are fascinating. Among the many conditions ... if Packer gave Mariah a piece of jewelry or anything else, she would have to give it back if they broke up UNLESS he sent her a signed note saying it was a gift. The prenup draft also provided that Mariah would get $50 mil if they broke up. TMZ broke the story, that's exactly the amount she's demanding from him now. Short story ... Packer's lawyers were telling him they could not get the prenup signed, sealed and delivered by March 1st. His response ... "I don't know who's working for who because there are a lot of names I haven't heard before on this email chain. The people who work for me -- message -- do as I say or f*** off. I want to get married on March 1st. James." We're told at the time of the email chain, Mariah already had a dress, the flowers were ordered and all the flights for the guests were secured. BTW ... there was no way they could marry, because Nick Cannon hadn't signed the divorce docs. Mariah and James knew this, but they were going to call the wedding a "commitment ceremony" and pass themselves off as husband and wife. The prenup was never signed, and Mariah believes that's when his people started trying to tear them apart. (TMZ)
Scottie Pippen's Lawyer Responds to Larsa Pippen's 911 Calls Alleging "Aggressive" Incident. A legal representative has spoken out on Scottie Pippen's behalf after two 911 calls placed by Larsa Pippen were published by TMZ. In a statement to E! News released Wednesday, it reads, "Mr. Pippen is aware that some members of the press have obtained 911 recordings recently made by Ms. Pippen. While these recordings speak for themselves, Ms. Pippen did not make any allegations of physical violence by Mr. Pippen." "Although Mr. and Ms. Pippen both have public personas, their divorce is a private matter. Mr. Pippen requests that the press respect his privacy and that of his family during this time," the statement continued. This response comes less than 24 hours after audio footage surfaced of Larsa's Oct. 1 and Oct. 4 calls to police, in wish she claimed the former NBA star got "really aggressive" with her. Larsa is heard telling the dispatcher, "Can you send someone over here? My husband's being really aggressive with me." When asked by the 911 operator if the altercation was verbal or physical, a male voice responds, "Verbal," adding, "There's no incident m'am." Larsa then asks the request for help to be canceled. Three days later, the 42-year-old mother of four placed a second call to 911 where she tells the operator, "My husband's gotten crazy again with me." In late October, E! News reported that Fort Lauderdale Police responded to the Pippen household twice over domestic disturbance incidents, but as TMZ alleged, no arrests were made on either occasion. On Oct. 21 E! News confirmed that Scottie, 51, filed for divorce from the his wife after 19 years of marriage. As for what catalyzed the pair's split, an insider told us, "Scottie and Larsa have been separated for quite some time living separate lives. Scottie has been residing in Chicago where his businesses are while Larsa has been living in Miami full time raising their children." (Eonline)
Former Miss USA Lu Parker is under arrest for pilfering a pair of high-end headphones at LAX ... TMZ has learned. The 1994 pageant winner, and current news anchor in L.A., allegedly lifted the headphones Wednesday morning at the TSA screening area in Terminal 6. Law enforcement sources tell us she walked to her gate and boarded her flight. We're told cops saw Lu take the audio gear on CCTV cams, and tracked her down on the plane before it left. Officers hauled her off the jet and took her into custody. The headphones are worth $200, so she's looking at a misdemeanor theft. Really bad luck for Parker -- we're told the owner of the headphones is an LAPD Robbery-Homicide detective. Parker famously dated former L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa several years ago, but they've broken up. (TMZ)
The lawsuit that was filed against Wen haircare products creator Chaz Dean and marketer Guthy-Renker back in July is every beauty lovers' worst nightmare. At this point, more than 200 customers have joined the class action suit alleging that the company's cleansing conditioner led to hair loss, scalp irritation and balding. That case just got its first ruling from a Los Angeles federal judge, and things are not looking good for the sulfate-free beauty brand. According to a preliminary ruling by a Southern California federal judge, the proposed $26.25 million settlement has been approved, which means roughly six million people could be awarded up to $20,000 in individual settlements. Before that happens though, the case will go on to be reviewed by a U.S. District Court Judge who will pass a final ruling on the settlement. Attorney Amy Davis explained the plaintiffs' complaints via a statement to CBS Los Angeles: "From what we understand about the product and how it causes hair loss is it contains virtually no cleanser. It's like using lotion to wash your hair. So instead of removing the product when you rinse it off, it just becomes impacted in your hair follicle." Wen also released a statement, saying, "Wen by Chaz Dean is safe and we continue to provide our hundreds of thousands of customers with the Wen by Chaz Dean products that they know and love. Since the process of litigation is time-consuming and costly, we made a business decision to pursue a settlement and put this behind us so that we can focus on delivering quality products." Putting this behind them might be harder than it seems, however, as the Food and Drug Administration is now also doing their own investigation into the company and its products. All in all, it's enough to make anyone want to jump aboard the no-shampoo bandwagon. (People)
THE OTHER STUFF . . .
Not too many rock stars are as adept at domestic life as Jon Bon Jovi. Sure he has legions of fans, many since the '80s, when his band Bon Jovi catapulted to stardom with their hit album Slippery When Wet. But that doesn't mean the perennial sex symbol is a rolling stone. "I'm not a journeyman," Bon Jovi, 54, tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story. Sitting down at his mansion in Red Bank, New Jersey, the singer opens up about the struggles of balancing life on the road and at home. "I know some people who are applause junkies. I'm not." Though he has deep love for his fans, no one means more to the star than his high school sweetheart wife of 27 years, Dorothea, and their brood, daughter Stephanie, 23, and sons Jesse, 21, Jacob 14, and Romeo 12. "I go kicking and screaming," he says of leaving his family to head out on the road as he's done so many times over the last three decades. "You see my fingernails in the driveway." It's something the rocker will have to deal with soon, as he and Bon Jovi set out to promote their new album This House Is Not For Sale, available Nov. 4. It marks the band's big return after the singer's friend and longtime lead guitarist Richie Sambora suddenly left the group in 2013. Luckily, the star's homesickness never lasts long. He says, "Once I get to the first hotel I'm like, 'Okay, I'm here.'" As for coming back into the fold at home with Dorothea and the kids, that too can be a challenge. "You go from that life of vampires ... ?then suddenly you're taking the garbage out and the kids to school, going to bed at 10:30," he describes. "It's a dramatic change! In a perfect world you'd go to a place like astronauts and decompress for a few days before they let you out into the real world." (People)
Ryan McCartan Spends Halloween in the Hospital: ''Life Is Precious But Fragile.'' This year's Halloween did not go over how Ryan McCartan expected. The Disney Channel star posted a photo of himself from Monday and explained to fans how he actually was in the hospital for the entirety of the holiday. "This is how I spent my Halloween after a series of food poisoning, dehydration and diabetes-related complications," he wrote. "Life is precious but fragile, and boy did I get that reminder! Grateful for an amazing sister, family, and friends who quite literally saved my life yesterday. Doing better today—thanks for the well wishes." The actor, who most recently played the role of Brad in Fox's live remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, seemed to have enjoyed himself earlier over the weekend it seems as it previously posted several shots of him spending time with friends at a few Halloween parties around town. In fact, in one snapshot, he posed with Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy, two childhood Nickelodeon stars that McCartan has kept in close contact with. Perhaps the silver lining here is that at least he got to enjoy some of his Halloween weekend? Either way, we hope McCartan recovers and recuperates in no time flat! (Eonline)
Lindsay Lohan Adopts a Strange Accent in Her Everyday Life and No One Knows Why. Lindsay Lohan once played a British girl in the hit movie The Parent Trap, but it appears the American-born actress has developed a strange accent. Lohan was in Athens talking to reporters and seemed to adopt an accent that sounded like a combination of countries. There's really no saying what type of accent it was, but people certainly noticed. "I can't stop watching. It's kinda Irish, kinda ambiguous Euro, w a dash of Aussie," tweeted one follower. "lmao that's kind of Russia meets Irish Lindsey lohan," noted another. Oddly enough, Lohan isn't the first person to be mocked for suddenly taking on a new accent. In 2007, singer Joss Stone was mocked after an appearance at the Brit Awards because her accent went from West Country to "some sort of transatlantic drawl." After marrying British director Guy Ritchie and moving to London, Madonna also adopted a British accent much but used it only while in the U.K., much to the confusion of her fans. She drew major criticism when she announced the winner of the Turner prize in a British accent in 2001. Her spokeswoman at the time, Liz Rosenberg, issued a statement explaining Madonna's sudden change. "She does naturally pick up on languages and sounds of people around her. It's certainly not meant as an effect," she wrote in an email. "When she's back in New York for a while, she gets right into the New Yawk sound." Even Gwyneth Paltrow came under fire when she started speaking in a British accent in real life after portraying characters in movies that required one. In response, Paltrow made fun of herself while hosting a 1999 episode of Saturday Night Live and talked in a British accent during the monologue. Cast members sitting in the audience continuously asked her where she was from in the U.K. and Paltrow hilariously tried to dodge the questions. Do you know of any other stars who've adopted accents? Chris Brown's daughter paid Selena an adorable tribute, and the late singer's family couldn't be prouder. Selena's brother, A.B. Quintanilla, tells TMZ he was moved when he saw Royalty's Halloween getup -- a glitzy purple jumpsuit like the one Selena made famous in a 1995 Houston performance ... just a lot smaller. A.B. tells us, "I think it's beautiful that of all the Disney characters, princess and superheroes, she picked my superhero." He also gave props to Chris, saying ... "you have an adorable daughter." He should've shouted out Nia Guzman -- we're told Chris' baby mama chose the costume because Royalty was born in Corpus Christi ... Selena's hometown. Plus, Nia's a huge fan. We're told celebrity designer, Robyn Thicck, put the outfit together. (TMZ)
Kendall Jenner Just Bought a $52,000 Couch and It's Very Bizarre Looking. Talk about an early birthday gift! Kendall Jenner recently bought herself a very expensive (and bizarre) couch as part of some redecorating she's doing inside her new house. "Slowly but surely, my house is finally getting decorated!" the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shared on her app this week. "It's definitely a process and a lot more work than I anticipated. I'm glad I'm taking it slow and only getting things I really love. And, my interior decorator, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, has been a huge help in finding unique pieces." Kendall, who celebrates her 21st birthday, went on to gush about her new couch, which can cost up to -- wait for it! -- a whopping $52,000. "Recently, I realized I'd been really good and came in way under budget on my furniture allowance," the model continued. "I got super excited and bought another amazing couch. One day, I just had a vision about the entry room and knew exactly what it needed. As soon as I saw the couch, I fell in love. The 'Boa' by Edra couch is all woven and a really groovy navy with purple shimmer. It works perfectly in the space! I still have a long way to go, but am having so much fun along the way!" Nothing says "treat yo' self" like a $52,000 sofa! As for the unusual looking couch, "Each sofa requires four tubes of thirty meters each, filled and covered by hand. Four people work simultaneously and in synchrony for more than a week. Two full days are dedicated to the final weaving," according to the website. (Eonline)
Chris Brown is a dumbass, wheely-Poppin' ATV enthusiast -- not our words ... that's what his neighbors are saying. One of Brown's San Fernando Valley neighbors was so pissed she recorded him traversing one of the streets in the hood, and her commentary is hilarious. Chris clearly knows she's shooting the video, because he shows off in grand fashion as he passes her. It's not the first time a neighbor has recorded Chris on his ATV. Suffice it to say ... he won't be getting a lot of stop-by-for-Thanksgiving invites. (TMZ)
Pam Anderson is afraid of getting raped, and afraid you could be too if you use those popular rideshare apps. There are few hard stats on the matter, but fact is ... some police departments, like Boston's, have issued warnings about such services after alleged sexual assaults. Other cities, like Austin, have flat-out banned Uber and Lyft for refusing to submit drivers for fingerprints. Reps for both companies insist all their drivers go through background checks. Lyft's rep also said the PSA "misleads consumers about the many safety benefits of ridesharing." Besides rigorous vetting of drivers ... Lyft points out its app allows passengers to share their ETA with loved ones, so they'll know where you are at all times during a ride. (TMZ)

Drake and Taylor Swift Are Making Music Together -- Details on Their "Different" Collaboration. This is music to our ears! An insider tells E! News Drake and Taylor Swift are indeed collaborating on brand new music together, and given that they share 11 Grammy wins, 56 nominations and 7 chart-topping tracks between them, it's bound to be a smash hit. For those surprised by the seemingly unlikely duo, our source reveals "the music they have been working on is different," albeit "very catchy." The insider adds, "They've both been having a great time in the studio." Speculation that the pop sensation and rapper were spending time together surfaced when Swift attended his 30th birthday bash just last week. A partygoer told E! News of the pair's co-mingling, "At one point Drake and Taylor were seen near the DJ together talking, his arm over her shoulder for a minute like a real friend moment. It looked like they were talking about something deep." It didn't take long for the internet to ship Drake and Tay as Hollywood's latest and greatest couple, but as our insider reveals, these two keep things professional. "They are not dating or hooking up," the source says, adding, "They are both purely friends." T. Swift's collaboration with Drizzy isn't the first time she's worked one-on-one with a hip hop artist. Kendrick Lamar appeared on Swift's 2014 track "Bad Blood," and co-starred in the music video. As for Drake, he's kept things fairly exclusive to his own genre, but that doesn't mean he's not game for the challenge. What do you think about this talented musical duo? Page Six was first to report the news. (Eonline)
Who Did Taylor Swift Write "Better Man" About? We Investigate the Lyrics for Little Big Town's New Single. Taylor Swift 's songwriting skills are getting music fans talking once again. On Tuesday morning, Little Big Town revealed in a Facebook Live press conference that their new song "Better Man" was written by the one and only "Shake It Off" singer. "She sent us this song, and it was one that was really special to her," Karen Fairchild explained to fans. "And she thought of us because of the harmonies, and she's never pitched a song to anyone before and the moment that we heard it we were like, 'Man, that is a song that we're gonna cut.'" Taylor would also confirm the news in an Instagram post later in the day. "Feeling really honored that a band I've loved for so many years decided to record this song I wrote," she shared. "Good luck at #cmaawards @littlebigtown !! Love you guys." Once the song lyrics were made public, fans immediately began to speculate as to the inspiration behind the catchy lyrics. And yes, some were more than quick to ask: Who is this about? One source shared with E! News that Taylor wrote the song a while back and even heard it was years ago. In other words, the chance of having it be inspired by a recent ex like Calvin Harris or Tom Hiddleston is out of the question. A Nashville reporter also got fans excited when she tweeted (and then deleted) a post. "NEWSFLASH: People who think @TaylorSwift13 wrote @LittleBigTown's new song 'Better Man' about @CalvinHarris, NOPE," the original tweet read. "She wrote it around 2010." Soon after, a new post was published that provided a bit more questions than answers. "Turns out my source about the timing of Little Big Town's 'Better Man' was incorrect & confused this song with another Taylor song! Sorry!" And then there is an investigation by Elle that matches certain lyrics with key moments in Taylor's past relationships with both Tom and Calvin. Perhaps Little Big Town's Karen summed it up best when reminding fans that lyrics can have many interpretations. "Everybody has a better man. It might have been a lover, or a parent that disappointed you. I think the beauty of that storytelling is that we can all relate to being disappointed in someone and still loving them, but saying 'Enough is enough,'" she shared. "This would have been amazing if you would have gotten your act together. That's kind of a fun song to sing." (Eonline)
Gerardo Ortiz, Paulina Rubio & More Record Spanish Version of 'Where Is the Love?': Exclusive. The song will premiere during Premios de la Radio. The Black Eyed Peas' 2003 anthem "Where Is the Love?" is getting a Latin redo with a new, Spanish-language version featuring a slew of Latin personalities, including Wilmer Valderrama, Rosario Dawson, Ryan Guzman, Becky G, Kate del Castillo, Pepe Aguilar, Paulina Rubio and Gerardo Ortiz, among many others. The song, with Spanish lyrics by Edgar Cortazar, will be performed live for the first time during the 2016 Premios de la Radio, at which time the music video will also premiere. Premios de la Radio, the annual regional Mexican music awards, will air live on Thursday on Estrella TV. Inspiration for the Spanish version comes from a recent redo of the track, which was released in September and featured dozens of celebrities, including Jamie Foxx, Ty Dolla $ign, Mary J. Blige, Diddy, Justin Timberlake and Usher. The new version didn't enter the Billboard Hot 100 but did peak at No. 20 on the Pop Digital Song Sales chart. The new Spanish-language version of the video includes 59 names, spanning many genres of music and many disciplines. It will also include appearances by the Black Eyed Peas' Taboo and apl.de.ap. The show version of the track won't feature all the artists, but those confirmed to appear include Luis Coronel, Becky G, Gerardo Ortiz and Chiquis Rivera. The idea to redo the track in Spanish came from Liberman Broadcasting, the Burbank, California-based media company whose holdings include Estrella TV. The company was in the midst of a "Yo soy el voto" (I Am the Vote) campaign, geared at getting the community to vote. Doing a remake of the song seemed to be the perfect culmination of the campaign. The video for the song, directed by Michael Jurkovac, was recorded between Hollywood and Mexico to accommodate the many names included. "The Spanish version of 'Where Is the Love' is a testament to Estrella TV's commitment to continue being a voice for Latinos in the U.S.," said Lenard Liberman, CEO, LBI Media, in a statement. In a series of videos that have been put online in the past day, several artists spoke about the meaning of the song. "We want to send a positive message to the world," says Gerardo Ortiz. "This song seeks to find something positive in the negative." (Billboard)
Spanish Rapper Arkano Sets Guinness Record For Longest Rhyme. Arkano raps non-stop for over 24 hours, breaking Mur's time for longest rap. Spanish rapper Arkano has set a new Guinness World Record for non-stop rap improvisation, rhyming for 24 hours, 34 minutes and 27 seconds in Madrid's central Puerta del Sol square. The 22-year-old allowed himself only 3-second breaks between songs and taking only liquid nourishment during the challenge. Arkano's feat started in the afternoon on Oct. 28, just two weeks after L.A. rapper Murs set a record rapping for 24 hours and 15 minutes. For Murs' Longest Rap Marathon record, he recited a mix of pre-written songs and hip-hop classics. The Longest Rap Freestyle time was previously held by Chiddy, known as part of the hip-hop duo Chiddy Bang, for his 9 hours, 16 minutes, and 22 seconds session in 2011. Arkano, whose given name is Guillermo Rodríguez Godínez, effectively smashed both of those records last weekend. His performance was observed by thousands of people who gathered in the square. The 22-year-old computer science student from Alicante, Spain, was only 15 when he won Red Bull's national Batalla de los Gallos in Spain for the first time. Last year, he won Red Bull's national and international Gallos championships, which bring together MCs from Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Peru. This year's world final takes place Nov. 12 in Lima. Arkano's marathon challenge was supported by fellow Spanish rappers, who stopped by to cheer him on. Known for his socially conscious verses, Arkano told red Bull that he also extended an invitation to Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy. The politician did not show up. (Billboard)
Kenny Chesney, Sony/ATV Take Top Honors at BMI Country Awards. When Kenny Chesney receives the Pinnacle Award in front of millions during ABC's Nov. 2 telecast of the Country Music Association Awards, the moment will recognize his ability to consistently pack stadiums and his standing as a four-time winner of the CMA's entertainer of the year. But the focus on Nov. 1 was on Chesney's history as a songwriter when BMI honored him with the President's Award during the performing rights organization's 64th annual Country Awards on Nashville's Music Row. "Me on stage wouldn't be possible without my creative spirit and without my creative heart," Chesney told several thousand – including fellow artists Cole Swindell, Bill Anderson, Randy Travis and Florida Georgia Line during the black-tie event. "God put a song in my heart years ago and made me want to write songs. Without that, there wouldn't be anything else." While Chesney's career accomplishments as a writer and song collector received their due, numerous writers' recent achievements made up the bulk of the evening. "Die A Happy Man" -- penned by Thomas Rhett with Joe London and Sean Douglas -- reigned as the most-played country song of the year. Ross Copperman took songwriter of the year after composing seven of BMI's 50 most-played titles of 2015, including Luke Bryan's "Strip It Down," Billy Currington's "Don't It" and Keith Urban's "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16." "It's hard to comprehend," Copperman said of his hit list on the red carpet. "In 10 years when I'm sitting, smoking a cigar, maybe I'll understand what a big deal this is. But right now, I'm so in it, I'm thinking about the next five songs. It's hard for me to soak it in." One of the new breed of "track guys" in Nashville, who use laptops and drum machines to create the underlying chords and foundational beats in their work, Copperman has also been known to write in a more traditional fashion, hammering out the song on guitar. That adaptability has aided his rise. "I've written songs that are bone country with him, straight-to-the-core country songs," said Brett Eldredge, who co-wrote two of Copperman's award-winners, "Lose My Mind" and "Drunk On Your Love." "Then I called him up one day and said, 'I've got this Christmas song that I've written a verse and a chorus and all the melody, but the piano part... ' He studied jazz, so I show up, and he says, 'I've already got it all figured out.' He's playing like a classic jazz musician, so he can do anything. He's just a freak of nature. He is even more of a better person." Copperman is also a Sony/ATV writer, making him a significant part of a record-setting year for the company. Sony/ATV has an ownership stake in 22 of the 50 most-played titles, which helped it become publisher of the year for a record 15th straight year, dating back to 2002, when Nashville president/CEO Troy Tomlinson joined the firm. Sony/ATV's pile of winners included such titles as "Young & Crazy," "I Love This Life," "Kick The Dust Up," "Burning House" and "Wild Child," the latter co-written by Chesney. Congressman Doug Collins (R-Ga.) received a BMI Champion Award for his efforts at improving the songwriting community's compensation in the digital age. It's a goal that coincides with BMI's efforts in Washington. "We'll continue doing what we do," BMI president and CEO Mike O'Neill pledged, "which is to fight to protect the rights of all of you in this room so that you can keep writing songs, and the profession of songwriting will go on, and it won't become a hobby." The breadth of the ceremony's honored songs was notable. "Die A Happy Man" and "Strip It Down" are tipped with soul, "Burning House" has an adventurous quality and unusual time signature, and "Ain't Worth The Whiskey" and "Diamond Rings And Old Barstools" use a core country tone. That eclectic range is an asset for the genre. "I love the fact that country can embrace a lot of different styles, as it should be," said John Oates, of the pop duo Hall & Oates. "A good song's a good song. That's kind of the litmus test [for a song], if it can take a different kind of production." The Chesney segment underscored that range. Urban reimagined the nostalgic "I Go Back" as a guitar/vocal piece that evolved into a classic rock-tinged effort. Songwriter Dean Dillon ("Tennessee Whiskey," "Ocean Front Property") milked all the fragility in the lyrics of Chesney's ballad "The Tin Man." And Eric Church turned "Anything But Me" into a dramatically building work. Chesney wrote two of those three songs, and his ability to identify quality material was key in recording the other. It reflects what Chesney's career -- and the entire country industry -- is built on. "Being a songwriter," he said, "is one of the biggest gifts in the world." (Billboard)

Johnny Depp Set to Star in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Sequel. Muggles and moviegoers, do we have some exciting news to share with you. Before Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters later this month, a huge casting announcement has just been made about the upcoming sequel. According to Deadline, Johnny Depp is joining Eddie Redmayne and the cast for the second installment of the franchise. While his exact role remains top-secret for now, all signs point to the actor joining Zoë Kravitz and more stars once the sequel hits theaters in 2018. They also hint that you may spot the actor in the first installment when it hits theaters November 18. For those not up to date on one of the year's most anticipated movies, Fantastic Beasts documents the adventures of writer Newt Scamander in New York's secret community of witches and wizards seventy years before Harry Potter reads his book in school. And if you're wondering if the cast knows the excitement surrounding the film, we may have the answer. "The stakes are high because [Harry Potter movies] were so good before," Eddie shared with E! News' Marc Malkin last September. "You don't want to screw it up." He added, "It's a complete privilege for me. I love J.K. Rowling. I love the Harry Potter films [and] books so for me this is just the most wondrous gift really." It also looks like a gift that keeps on giving. Just last month, J.K. attended an IMAX fan event where she dropped some big news on the franchise. While some originally thought it was going to be a trilogy, the author announced that it's now going to be five films. Did we mention these films mark J.K.'s first foray into screenwriting? Additionally, she is also one of the producers of the film. In other words, is there anything the best-selling author can't do? (Eonline)
Mafia musical "A Bronx Tale" boiled over with such bad blood behind the scenes on its way to Broadway that co-director Robert De Niro once feuded with producer Tommy Mottola and creator Chazz Palminteri. Page Six has exclusively learned that the conflict came when De Niro -- who directed the 1993 film version of Palminteri's original "Bronx Tale" one-man show -- wanted to direct the musical version, too, but Mottola and Palminteri refused and brought in Jerry Zaks instead. De Niro confirmed to Page Six: "I kicked around that I try and [direct] it, and there was apprehension that I couldn't commit to the time." The "Raging Bull" legend suggested he direct the show around the same time the production began negotiating with Zaks, who's won four Tonys for shows including "Guys and Dolls." "The bottom line was that I was annoyed at Tommy .?.?. I was annoyed at Chazz .?.?. because they didn't believe in me that I could do it, but I understand," said De Niro, whose Tribeca Productions is behind the show. "There was a time I was not talking to them. Then Tommy made a nice gesture like, 'Life is too short.' And Chazz and I started talking," De Niro added. The trio buried the hatchet well before previews, which begin Thursday. De Niro was made co-director alongside Zaks earlier this year. The show, about an Italian-American teen caught between his father and a local mob boss, debuted at the Paper Mill Playhouse before moving to Broadway, where it opens Dec. 1. "We all believe in the project. The last thing I wanted was to feel badly and get into petty squabbles .?.?. It was a small period of time," De Niro said of the rift. In the end, "It's Chazz's baby," he added. "It's too important to waste the energy -- and it is a big commitment of time -- I don't blame them for being apprehensive [and] we reached a compromise." As far as co-directing with Zaks, he told us, "Jerry is great .?.?. I have learned a lot of things. He is a mensch. It is actually fun and really coming along .?.?. We're having a good time." Reps for Mottola and Palminteri did not comment. (Page Six)
'Fifty Shades' Producer Dana Brunetti Sparks 'Produced By' Credit Debate: I Won't "Bow Down to These F -- ers". "I'm making this a platform," Brunetti says as he promises to battle his own guild over its denial of the credit "with a vengeance," while others speak in favor of the rule: "The PGA mark is a great advancement for all producers," says Jason Blum. On the evening of Oct. 19, Fifty Shades producer Dana Brunetti declared war on the Producers Guild, firing his first shot via Instagram. The post, which he also shared on Twitter and Facebook, read: "Once again outdated Hollywood reigns. According to my own 'guild,' I've been determined not eligible to receive the PGA mark on #fiftyshadesdarker." Brunetti's missive, which was followed by far more critical and incendiary posts over the following days, created the kind of headache for the 54-year-old guild only possible in the age of social media. Though PGA national executive director Vance Van Petten refused to engage publicly, a number of producers threw kindling on the blaze, voicing their support for Brunetti's promise "to rally against the Producers 'Guild' with a vengeance." Among those commiserating with the outspoken producer were Bold Films CEO Gary Michael Walters ("Not a fan of the PGA mark TBH. no transparency to the process") and Drinking Buddies producer Sam Slater ("Makes you wonder what is the point in being a part of a guild that seems to try to hurt us, rather than protect us!?"). Even celebrities joined the Brunetti chorus, including actor Armie Hammer, who posted a GIF of Taxi Driver's Travis Bickle applauding, and actress and sometimes producer Kate Bosworth, calling the guild's decision "truly insane." But will Brunetti's campaign, which shows no signs of abating, have any lasting impact on the guild's process in determining how producers are determined eligible for a coveted Producers Mark ("p.g.a."), a credit considered key for awards? "I'm making this a platform because I think everyone knows that Fifty Shades Darker isn't going to be considered for an Oscar, so I really don't give a f -- about the mark," Brunetti tells THR. "With Captain Phillips, I had to bow down to these f -- ers, kiss their ass and go through their antiquated ways to ensure I was eligible." The PGA created the p.g.a. mark in 2012 to prevent film financiers from buying awards-season glory. A panel of three unnamed arbiters reviews all materials to determine who contributed work on set or in a "decision-making" capacity. "The purpose of the Producers Mark is to protect the integrity of the 'Produced By' credit," says PGA president Gary Lucchesi. "Drawing distinctions among producers' contributions inevitably results in disappointment for some. We have an appeals procedure to address those cases, and we encourage all producers to take advantage of the entire process." Brunetti argues his tweets reveal how frequently he was on the Darker set. As for fulfilling the decision-making criteria, he points to his role in enlisting director James Foley, who worked on Brunetti's series House of Cards. He is particularly incensed because the film represents the fourth time he has disagreed with the PGA's determination on a film on which he worked, notably The Social Network, when he received the mark but Mike De Luca did not (De Luca appealed and the decision was reversed), and Captain Phillips, when Brunetti was deemed not eligible by the PGA but was eventually ruled eligible on appeal. Both Social Network and Captain Phillips were Oscar best picture contenders, where the p.g.a. mark holds significance and effects which producers are noted at the ceremony. But many producers say they embrace the current process. "The PGA mark is a great advancement for all producers," says Jason Blum. "They don't get it right 100 percent of the time, but they sure get close to that number." Adds Doug Wick, "It's the difference between a merit-based credit and a bully-based credit. For the longest time, a producer credit was given to whoever had the most power or leverage even if they never stepped foot near the set" Still, producer Craig Baumgarten, who was on the committee that wrote the rules, refused to accept his mark for the upcoming All I See Is You after learning that director Marc Forster and producer Michael Selby were denied. Baumgarten insists that all three were equally deserving. "The PGA mark itself is a great thing -- to designate who really produces a movie -- but sometimes the prejudices or preconceptions of the arbiters -- many of whom have spent most of their lives being screwed over by studios, directors and movie stars -- overlie the facts." The PGA says arbiters are working producers, which it touts as a selling point. But bias is unavoidable, and even those who praised the mark as a far better alternative to the pre-mark days concede that it is easy to determine the identity of producers during the so-called blind process. "A panel of your peers? It's a peer I probably took this f -- ing movie from because everyone was competing to get on this project," says Brunetti of the Fifty Shades franchise. "It should be an arbitrary panel of people who know the rules but not a panel of peers." For his part, Brunetti is mulling legal action. Privately, the guild is encouraging him to appeal (Brunetti remains undecided). Either way, the PGA hopes that the PR nightmare unleashed by the social media-savvy producer will go away. Amazon vs. Netflix: An Epic Oscar Battle Begins. It's not just about bragging rights as Casey Affleck's 'Manchester by the Sea' and Ava DuVernay's '13th' create a possible turning point for the deep-pocketed streamers to snag their first Academy Award and (even more) studio talent. What's an awards season without a heated Oscar rivalry? Slugfests like the 1999 struggle between Harvey Weinstein's Shakespeare in Love forces and Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan team (Harvey was triumphant) often make for more drama off screen than on. This year there's a new high-stakes contest as Jeff Bezos' Amazon and Reed Hastings' Netflix, already Emmy players, square off in the Oscar ring. Netflix recently has staked out a prominent position in the documentary feature category, securing norms for The Square in 2014, Virunga in 2015 and What Happened, Miss Simone? And Winter on Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom this year. It made its biggest play in the best picture race with Cary Fukunaga's Beasts of No Nation but came up short with the Academy. Amazon also dipped its toe in last year's race with Spike Lee's Chi-Raq, but it too failed to gain Academy traction. That's not likely to be the case this year, with both streaming services promoting high-profile contenders. Once again, Netflix is zeroing in on feature docs. Topping its list is 13th, in which Ava DuVernay passionately argues that the mass incarceration of black men is a modern-day form of slavery. The film got a splashy start opening the New York Film Festival, and it has plenty of celebrity admirers. "Very important film," Don Cheadle tweeted; added James Franco, "Essential viewing. Changed my life." While Amazon isn't ceding the doc space to Netflix -- it has such titles as Gleason, a heart-tugging account of former NFL player Steve Gleason's battle with ALS -- it's making its major push in the feature film categories, where its marquee title is Kenneth Lonergan's Manchester by the Sea, starring a grief-stricken Casey Affleck. Amazon, partnering with Roadside Attractions, picked up the film for $10 million at Sundance, and though it doesn't hit theaters until Nov. 18, it already has earned four Gotham Award nominations. The two streaming giants have every reason to mount expensive campaigns since awards attention arguably means more for them than for any of the studios. Spotlight, last year's best picture winner, collected $16 million of its $45 million domestic gross after attracting norms and ultimately the big prize. But its win didn't help other Open Road releases. Netflix and Amazon aren't so much looking to increase the value of individual films. They hope to convince top filmmakers and stars they can give them lots of awards-season love in order to attract projects that, in turn, will lure subscribers. Netflix, taking a cue from HBO, explained in its last shareholder report: "Earned media coverage and awards ... enhance our brand and ability to attract talent for future projects." Netflix's inability to ensure a real theatrical run led Nate Parker to take The Birth of a Nation to Fox Searchlight this year. So to raise its films' profiles among Academy voters, Netflix recently inked a deal to screen films at the luxury iPic in Westwood. But Amazon may have an edge; it's been ramping up its film team with such indie veterans as Ted Hope and Bob Berney. And, unlike Netflix, it gives its movies a full theatrical release before they migrate online. Says Amazon Studios film chief Jason Ropell, "We're proud to be in the theatrical space and want to make it clear that we're aggressively behind all of our films and our filmmakers." And, of course, an Oscar or two would seal the deal. (Hollywood Reporter)
See China's Answer to the Hollywood Sign. High above Wanda's $8.2 billion Qingdao Movie Metropolis sits a giant sign that the company hopes will become as iconic as the celebrated Los Angeles landmark. Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group, headed by Asia's richest man, Wang Jianlin, is building the world's largest film studio on China's eastern coast, about 300 miles north of Shanghai. But to truly compete with Hollywood, Wanda needed more than just a world-class filmmaking facility -- it needed a sign. The seaside city of Qingdao is known to most Americans as the home of Tsingtao beer, but that may be about to change. Wanda, a real estate company attempting an aggressive transition into global entertainment, has invested $8.2 billion to construct the filmmaking facility in the city. Dubbed the Wanda Qingdao Movie Metropolis, the finished project will span 408 acres and comprise 45 state-of-the-art sound stages, including the world's largest, as well as China's biggest indoor and outdoor water tanks (for an inside look at the studio, see here). Overlooking it all, perched on the upper portion of a rocky mountaintop Wanda calls "Movie Metropolis Hill," sits a gigantic sign made of four Chinese characters in white: ????. In translation, they read: "Movie Metropolis of the East." "You can see it from almost anywhere you are in the studio," says Morgan Hunwicks, a Canadian and production veteran who spent 10 years working at Fox Studios in Sydney before joining Wanda Studios Qingdao as head of production. "The idea, obviously, is our version of the Hollywood sign," he says. "It's taller, but [not as long as] the Hollywood one." Whether Wanda's Qingdao sign will become an iconic landmark like its counterpart across the Pacific -- which has overlooked Los Angeles since 1923 -- remains to be seen. But Wanda is certainly trying to make it so: to lure Hollywood projects to its studio, the company has set up on of the world's most lucrative production incentives, a 40 percent rebate for qualifying film and TV projects that shoot there. And in an effort to make the area a comfortable working environment for international film professionals, Wanda is building luxury hotels, restaurants, bars, condos, a marina, a hospital and more atop a giant artificial island out in the Yellow Sea beside to the studio site. "It's fun to be a part of a project that was built from the ground up," added Hunwicks. "During my time at Fox, I think the most we ever built was a storage shed, because the studio had been around for a while and was in an existing footprint -- there's just no space. But here the horizon is the limit." (Hollywood Reporter)

Benedict Cumberbatch Finally Meets Saturday Night Live in the Most Wonderful Promo. Benedict Cumberbatch's first Saturday Night Live promo is here and it is straight up delightful. In the promo, Cumberbatch, who is hosting with musical guest Solange, meets Saturday Night Live, at last. It's that simple. "We meet at last," he says approaching the famous Studio 8H stage with swelling music. "Oh f -- k." D.E.L.I.G.H.T.F.U.L. Cumberbatch is promoting the latest Marvel movie, Doctor Strange, where he's playing the titular doctor who goes from practicing medicine to the mystical arts. Have no fear, the Oscar nominee is returning to the small screen for another go as Sherlock Holmes in Masterpiece's Sherlock. Sherlock and Watson (Martin Freeman) return with new episodes on January 1, 2017. What a way to start the new year! This is the first new season in three years. Yes, three! "Sherlock series four -- here we go again! Whatever else we do, wherever we all go, all roads lead back to Baker Street, and it always feels like coming home," showrunner Steven Moffat said in a statement when production on season four commenced in April. "Ghosts of the past are rising in the lives of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson and terror and tragedy are looming. This is the story we've been telling from the beginning and it's about to reach its climax." But this could be the last Sherlock we get... for a while at least. Both Moffat and Cumberbatch have discussed the show's murky future, but were unwilling to put a nail in its coffin, officially. "I don't know how long we can keep it going. I'm personally willing but I'm hardly the main draw," Moffat told The Telegraph. "I would be moderately surprised if this was the last time we ever made this show. But it absolutely could be." Cumberbatch takes the SNL stage on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 11:30 on NBC. (Eonline)
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Revealed Ghost Rider's Origins While Leaving Us With So Many More Questions. What. Just Happened?! While the big draw in Tuesday night's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the show's only new episode in the month of November, was the reveal of what exactly happened that fateful night that Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) became the Ghost Rider, the Marvel series threw us for one hell of a loop when Ghost Lucy and, as it turned out, Robbie's surprisingly evil and power hungry Uncle Eli put their plan into motion and gave Eli the alarming ability to create matter with the simple flick of his hand. Oh, and they somehow disappeared Coulson (Clark Gregg), Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), and Robbie in the process. That's right -- after the massive blast of energy made its way through the facility, none of our heroes left inside at the time of the blast were where they stood just seconds prior. At least not to the naked eye. So, where did they go? We've got some time to wonder -- and a Doctor Strange film to see to hopefully gain some insight into Marvel's new mystical world -- before we find out, but our money's on those boxes that were once keep Ghost Lucy and her comrades contained. Are they ghosts now too? We'll see. And while we're wondering where our favorite agents are, there's another to add to the list. Where in the world did new director Jeffrey Mace (Jason O'Mara) send poor Jemma (Elizabeth Henstridge) off to with a hood over her head? Might she be en route to a certain Sanctum Sanctorum in NYC? Now, about that big Ghost Rider reveal. It turns out the night Gabe (Lorenzo James Henrie) was paralyzed from the waist down, he was riding shotgun with Robbie in Uncle Eli's Charger on the way to a drag race when the car was firebombed and shot up before it rolled, ejecting Robbie from the car before killing him. As Gabe remembered it, a good Samaritan arrived on the scene via motorcycle and rescued them both. But as Robbie explained it, as he lay in the street dead, a voice came to him, asking if he wanted to opportunity to get back at the men who killed him. When he said yes, that's when the motorcycle man appeared above him, transferring his curse to Robbie. Johnny Blaze, was that you? Making things even more tragic, Ghost Lucy revealed to Robbie just before he killed her that the attack wasn't even meant for him. Rather, her husband had hired a hit on Uncle Eli after the two began to compete for the ultimate power offered by Darkhold. Something tells us that when Robbie comes into contact with his uncle, it's not going to go so well for the man keen on playing god. After all, who better to challenge a makeshift god than the Devil himself? Where do you think Coulson and Fitz wound up? Theories on Jemma's whereabouts? Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC. (Eonline)
Shay Mitchell Releases Emotional Farewell Video to Pretty Little Liars. We're not crying, you're crying! Ugh, fine, you got us. After watching Shay Mitchell's emotional farewell video to Pretty Little Liars, we dare you not to grab a Kleenex. As if last week's tear-jerking Instagram posts weren't enough, the actress who plays Emily Fields posted her goodbye to the beloved series earlier this evening. After the first few minutes show the cast and crew after they film their final scene together, Shay is shown talking to the camera with tears rolling down her face. "Sad, anxious, excited, terrified, inspired, gratified, nervous, unsure, proud, upset, accomplished, relieved, devastated, lucky: I didn't know it was possible to feel so much at once, yet I sit here with all my feelings. It feels like the last day of school with just an extra bit of emptiness." She continued, "Our show ending is such a weird, unique thing that I have only experienced from where you all are sitting: the viewer's side. I remember shows I watched growing up ending and all that came along with a series finale, yet where I am seated now is so different. I don't know what my life would've looked like without Pretty Little Liars." Shay ended the video on a final, positive note about what she and the rest of her cast mates are leaving behind. "I'd like to think that somewhere in an alternate Rosewood universe, that these five women will always remain a constant in each others' lives, just as I hope we all do in our own reality." Freeform will begin airing the last episodes of Pretty Little Liars in April 2017. (Eonline)
With ratings for its "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" meal ticket on a downward trend, we're told execs at cable network E! want to try their hand at daytime TV. Insiders say the NBC-owned station -- home to reality shows such as the upcoming Mariah Carey series "Mariah's World" -- has developed a pilot for a daily panel show it hopes will rival CBS's "The Talk," ABC's "The View" and "The Chew," and syndicated hit "The Real." The new show will target a millennial audience with a bent toward celebrity news -- also a mainstay of the network, which hosted pop-culture obsessed shows such as Chelsea Handler's "Chelsea Lately" and Joel McHale's "The Soup." It's not the network's first attempt to branch out: In 2015, it premiered its first original scripted show, "The Royals," which was renewed for a third season this year. An E! spokesperson told us: "We will be conducting a test run of our successful fast-paced, -water-cooler digital format in daytime later this month. This is completely unrelated to our successful slate of reality programming, including pop-culture phenomenon ['Kardashians'], which remains one of the most-watched series in cable." (Page Six)
