Prince Harry Defends Girlfriend Meghan Markle From "Sexism and Racism" on Social Media. Prince Harry has officially confirmed his relationship with Meghan Markle while condemning those who have abused and harassed the actress on social media. In Kensington Palace's statement, released Tuesday morning, the prince also acknowledged that he has always been a public figure. "Since he was young, Prince Harry has been very aware of the warmth that has been extended to him by members of the public," the palace's statement began. "He feels lucky to have so many people supporting him and knows what a fortunate and privileged life he leads." "He is also aware that there is significant curiosity about his private life. He has never been comfortable with this, but he has tried to develop a thick skin about the level of media interest that comes with it," the palace said. "He has rarely taken formal action on the very regular publication of fictional stories that are written about him and he has worked hard to develop a professional relationship with the media, focused on his work and the issues he cares about." "But the past week has seen a line crossed. His girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment," the palace continued. "Some of this has been very public -- the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments." "Some of it has been hidden from the public -- the nightly legal battles to keep defamatory stories out of papers; her mother having to struggle past photographers in order to get to her front door; the attempts of reporters and photographers to gain illegal entry to her home and the calls to police that followed; the substantial bribes offered by papers to her ex-boyfriend; the bombardment of nearly every friend, co-worker, and loved one in her life." "Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle's safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her," the palace said. "It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm." "He knows commentators will say this is 'the price she has to pay' and that 'this is all part of the game'. He strongly disagrees," the palace continued. "This is not a game -- it is her life and his." The prince "has asked for this statement to be issued in the hopes that those in the press who have been driving this story can pause and reflect before any further damage is done," the palace explained. "He knows that it is unusual to issue a statement like this, but hopes that fair-minded people will understand why he has felt it necessary to speak publicly." Markle, meanwhile, has not commented. Romance rumors first started swirling about the prince and the Suits actress in late October. Markle has reportedly met Prince Charles, and sources have said an engagement is possible. "It wouldn't surprise me if he's already thinking about engagement just because that's where his head goes but that's not where the relationship is at right now," a source told E! News. "This is totally Harry. The problem with Harry is when he falls, he falls hard. He goes in big time." The couple is "serious" about each other, a source said, and "everybody is thrilled for Harry." Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's 6 Children to Remain in Mother's Custody With ''Therapeutic Visits With Their Father." Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have come to a custody agreement regarding their children. E! News has learned that all six of their children -- Maddox Jolie-Pitt, 15, Pax Jolie-Pitt, 12, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, 11, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 10, and twins Knox Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 8 -- will remain in Angelina's custody. We've also learned that Angelina's main concern has always been the safety and wellbeing of her children. Meanwhile, a separate source explains to us that the couple didn't "settle" on anything regarding their children and that there is no change in the status of their previous voluntary agreement. A representative for the actress released the following statement: "We can confirm that childcare professionals have encouraged a legal agreement accepted and signed by both sides over a week ago. In accordance with this agreement, the six children will stay in their mother's custody, and the children will continue therapeutic visits with their father. This has been determined by childcare professionals to be in the children's best interest." The statement continued, "We are not in a position to discuss the details. We hope now that it is clear that the events which led to the dissolution filing involved minor children and their well-being, there will be understanding of the sensitivity of the family situation. We believe that all sides are committed to healing the family and ask for your consideration during this difficult time." Just last Friday, Brad filed for joint custody of the former couple's children as Angelina asked for sole custody at the time of the divorce announcement back in mid-September. The actor has been under investigation over a mid-air altercation on a private aircraft Sept. 14 with son Maddox. The alleged incident prompted an anonymous call to the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services over claims that the Allied star had been both physically and verbally abusive towards the teen. Shortly after the news of the alleged plane incident was revealed, an insider told E! News that he "did not commit any abuse" towards his children and was upset over the allegations. Brad has seen his kids twice since Angelina filed for divorce, and Maddox for the first time just recently. Days after the filing, Brad broke his silence on the personal family matter with the following statement: "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time." The exes married back in 2014 and were first romantically linked back in 2004. This marks the second divorce for Brad, who was previously married to Jennifer Aniston, and the third divorce for Angelina, who was also married to Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller. (Eonline)

Jared Leto Sends Fans Into A Tizzy After Posting A Snapchat Video Where Two Of His Fingers Are Seemingly Cut Off! What happened to Jared Leto's hand? On Monday, the Suicide Squad star took to Snapchat to upload a troubling video of his left hand, where his pinky and ring fingers are bandage AND appear to be CHOPPED OFF! Oh no. Thankfully, one fan captured the footage from SC and posted it to Twitter. Well that doesn't look good. Although no statement has been made about the bizarre vid, many fans are hoping this unconfirmed injury is merely a special effect. In fact, numerous followers have reached out to the 30 Seconds To Mars frontman on social media for answers about his bandaged fingers. Like one fan theorized on Twitter, we have a feeling this "maiming" is for a movie role. We mean, the 44-year-old didn't seem too concerned about his wellbeing when he took to Instagram and posted. Brad Pitt will walk the red carpet at the premiere of his World War II movie "Allied" during his divorce battle with Angelina Jolie, sources tell Page Six, despite reports he's pulled out of all press for the film. Reports have said Pitt is passing on all press for the film as a bitter custody battle with Jolie over their six kids has heated up. There have also been rumors of romance between Pitt and his co-star Marion Cotillard, which the stars have denied. She also revealed that she's pregnant with her second child, with longtime partner Guillaume Canet. Although reports this week said he's pulled out of promotional commitments for the film, including junkets and talk shows, sources told Page Six he is planning to be at the movie's premiere in Westwood, Calif., on Wednesday, and studio Paramount confirmed he'll be attending. "He is maintaining multiple commitments for the film," said a source. "He doesn't usually do much press anyway" for projects. The movie opens over Thanksgiving weekend. While Pitt quietly filed for joint custody of their kids late on Friday, reports said Monday that Jolie's gearing up for a major battle -- and a source close to the actress reportedly told TMZ that "until he gets his s?-?-?t together," Jolie wants Pitt to have "monitored visitation." Jolie slapped Pitt with the bombshell divorce in September following an alleged incident between Pitt and the couple's eldest son, Maddox, 15, on a private jet. Pitt's court papers filed late on Friday -- a time when celebs traditionally try and bury news -- were the first filed in the divorce. He has strongly denied any allegations involving abuse of his and Jolie's kids. An entertainment source said of Pitt that despite all the drama, "he is trying to get as little attention as possible -- he wants to resolve this situation -- he is not fighting anything, he is simply asserting his rights to his kids." Reps for Pitt and Jolie didn't comment. (Page Six)

Don't try to take a selfie with Jerry Seinfeld. Even if you are a friend of a friend. Jenni Pulos -- one of the stars of Bravo's hit reality show "Flipping Out" and a dead ringer for Julia Louis-Dreyfus -- found that out the hard way. The executive assistant was at the London hotel and bar on West 54th Street meeting with executives from online food retailer Direct Eats about her new endorsement contract when Seinfeld came in and sat at the next booth. Pulos looks so much like Louis-Dreyfus that onlookers whispered Seinfeld was snubbing his "Seinfeld" co-star. Finally, as Seinfeld was leaving, Pulos introduced herself. The comedian -- a good friend of Andy Cohen, host of Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live," for which Pulos sings the theme song -- replied, "Yeah, I know who you are." But when Pulos asked if he would pose for a photo with her, Seinfeld said, "Sorry, I don't do that." Said one witness, "He was very nice, but firm." (Page Six)

Will Smith's father, Willard Carroll Smith, Jr., has died. Smith's ex-wife Sheree Fletcher, whom the actor was married to from 1992 to 1995, posted a tribute to her former father-in-law on Instagram Monday. "We're gonna miss you Daddio! You lived & played by your own rules... you truly were 1 of a kind!," Fletcher writes. "You instilled discipline, and a work ethic that has created a legacy in your honor!" She included a photo of Will and his father alongside her son with the actor, Trey, now 23. Will has yet to publicly comment. Will previously said that his father inspired him to be involved in his children's lives. "I look at my father and how he was able to keep four kids fed and clothed and still managed to find time to spend with us," Will said. The actor grew up with his dad, the owner of a refrigeration firm, mom Caroline, and three siblings in West Philadelphia. (People)

THE OTHER STUFF . . .

Lindsay Lohan's cashing in on her strange new sound. The starlet, 30, has launched a new line of t-shirts, tank tops and sweatshirts that read "I Only Speak Lilohan," a reference to what she dubbed her style of speech after a video interview of her bizarre accent went viral. On sale for $24.99 to $39.99, proceeds will benefit Caudwell Children and The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of Turkey. "I wanted to support children in the U.K. as I have been living there for the past four years and children are dear to my heart," Lohan told Page Six in a statement. "Secondly, I wanted to help the Middle East in this unfortunate crisis. It think it's important we give back when we can and continue to raise awareness." Lohan has chalked her new accent up to an assortment of languages she's been learning since childhood including English, French, Russian, Turkish, Italian and Arabic. Since ending things with ex-fiance Egor Tarabasov this summer, Lohan has dedicated much of her time to launching her eponymous nightclub in Greece and working with Syrian refugees. (Page Six)

Woody Allen is enjoying the Carnegie Deli while it lasts. The "Crisis In Six Scenes" writer, director and star was spotted at the 79-year-old classic spot -- which will close at the end of the year -- with wife Soon-Yi Previn, "Bullets Over Broadway" co-writer Douglas McGrath and McGrath's wife, Jane Martin. Martin worked as an assistant on Allen's 1984 film "Broadway Danny Rose," which famously filmed scenes at the restaurant. While the group chowed down on stuffed derma, gefilte fish, tea and rugelach, they also ordered two "Woody Allens" -- giant corned-beef-and-pastrami sandwiches -- to go. When Allen was told the sandwiches were best sellers, we hear he responded, "If only my films could be best sellers." Sarri Harper -- the granddaughter of Milton Parker, who bought the deli in 1976 -- thanked the director for returning and told him he helped bring customers with "Broadway Danny Rose," which includes the line, "They gave [the main character, played by Allen] the single greatest honor you can get in the Broadway area .?.?. They named a sandwich after him." (Page Six)

When a birthday card just won't do! Zac Efron presented his buddy Adam Devine with the ultimate surprise on his 33rd birthday. The Baywatch hunk took to Twitter on Monday, November 7 to belt out a bluesy 'Happy Birthday' serenade for his friend, and it's clear their bromance is still going strong. Efron, 29, sang his heart out and even played the piano to wish his Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates co-star a great day. "Happy Birthday, to one hell of a sexy dude," a beanie-clad Efron sang: "Oh, Happy Birthday to one hell of a cool dude." But the compliments just kept coming: "Oh I said Happy Birthday Adam Devine, because you're the best, the best, the coolest of a f--king dude. Yes, funky fresh. Happy Birthday Adam, Happy Birthday." The pair have struck up a budding friendship after they played brothers in their summer comedy. It turns out Efron is a popular guy, because Zendaya Coleman, his co-star in the upcoming movie musical The Greatest Showman couldn't help but gush about him to Us Weekly either. "He's really, really great," the 20-year-old told Us on November 3. "He's a fantastic human being." (US Weekly)

Tina Knowles has some big regrets on Tuesday ... after posting a pic of Solange in an elevator with Jay Z, reminiscent of perhaps the singer's greatest hits. Beyonce's mom immediately yanked the pic down, after realizing it brings back memories of the infamous 2014 beatdown in an NYC elevator. TMZ broke the story ... Solange went HAM on Jay ... because she suspected he cheated on Bey. It's official! Prince Harry issued a rare statement Tuesday both confirming that he is dating actress Meghan Markle and slamming what he calls the racist and sexist abuse she has endured since her relationship with him was revealed. In a groundbreaking plea to the media -- and people around the world -- the royal says he has been worried about Markle's safety since she's been subjected to a "wave of abuse and harassment." The statement, which was released by his communications secretary, begins: "Since he was young, Prince Harry has been very aware of the warmth that has been extended to him by members of the public. He feels lucky to have so many people supporting him and knows what a fortunate and privileged life he leads. "He is also aware that there is significant curiosity about his private life. He has never been comfortable with this, but he has tried to develop a thick skin about the level of media interest that comes with it. He knows that it is unusual to issue a statement like this, but hopes that fair-minded people will understand why he has felt it necessary to speak publicly." The prince, 32, and the Suits star, 35, have been dating seriously for about two months, PEOPLE confirmed last week. Things are moving so quickly, in fact, that Harry has already introduced Markle to his father (and the future king of England), Prince Charles, PEOPLE has learned. "Harry is pretty serious about her and she is pretty serious about him," says a pal. Adds another close friend: "It's great. They have a lot in common and I'm sure they will get on very well." And while they won't have been in the same year (Amal is three years older than Honey G), you can bet the pair knew of each other. (British Glamour)

Magic Johnson still remembers exactly how he felt when he stood before the world and announced he was HIV positive -- 25 years ago -- and he's expressing tremendous gratitude and hope. Magic opened up about the anniversary when we got him on his way out of lunch at Crustacean in Bev Hills. He thanked, by name, several people who helped him get through that monumental news conference. However, in classic Magic fashion, he also made it clear the day isn't just about him -- it's about celebrating medical advances, remembering loved ones lost to the disease, and continuing to educate young people. #AllClass. Black Lives Matter leader DeRay McKesson incited a crowd of his supporters to go looting and to hurl chunks of concrete at a Baton Rouge cop ... according to the officer who's now suing. The officer filed a federal lawsuit, as a John Doe, against McKesson for a BLM rally that went down July 9. According to the docs, a rally organized by McKesson was blocking streets, prompting the call for police to control the crowd. The anonymous cop says he and his fellow officers were first pelted by full bottles, looted from a Circle K -- and when the water ran out, someone picked up a piece of concrete ... or a rock ... and chucked it. He says he was struck in the face and went down hard. He says he lost teeth, and injured his jaw and brain. In the suit, he blames McKesson for inciting the violence. He points out tensions were already high because the Dallas PD ambush happened just 2 days earlier -- and Alton Sterling had been shot by Baton Rouge cops on July 5. He's suing for his medical bills and damages. (TMZ)

Tom Brady may not share Donald Trump's affection. While the Republican nominee claimed in a speech on Monday night that Brady had voted for him, wife Gisele Bündchen denied it in her Instagram comments. "Gisele I heard you and Tom were backing Trump! Is that true??" one fan asked her. "NO!" Bündchen replied. But at the rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, Trump led voters in the swing state to believe otherwise. "Tom Brady, great guy, great guy. Great guy, great friend of mine -- great, great champion. Unbelievable winner," Trump said of the New England Patriots quarterback. "He called today and he said, 'Donald, I support you, you're my friend, and I voted for you.' " "And I said, 'So, Tom. You voted for me, you support me, am I allowed to say it tonight at this massive crowd in New Hampshire?' He said, 'If you want to say it, you can say it.' Okay? Tom -- that's what a champ is all about." Brady also said early that morning during his weekly appearance on a local Boston radio show that he had yet to vote. "No, I haven't voted yet," he said. A few hours later though, the town of Brookline shared a photo from when Brady came in to drop off his absentee ballot. Brady told the radio show that he would reveal which candidate he voted for during his next appearance on the show. The athlete said in Sept. 2015 that it would be "great" to have Trump as president, after reporters spotted one of the red "Make America Great Again" hats in Brady's locker. "I hope so. That would be great," he said. "There would be a putting green on the White House lawn. I'm sure of that." (People)

Donald Trump lives large in his Manhattan high-rise ... in a 3 story penthouse that resembles Versailles, but if he gets the big 270 he will leave the gold leaf in the Big Apple. Trump tells TMZ, "I think the White House is such a special place and it has such a special meaning for the American people ... nothing would change in the White House." Trump has famously gold-plated/leafed doors, moldings and even ceilings in his homes, but says there's a place for that and it's not at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., although there is a place for it up the street at his new hotel. As for Hillary ... she's already proven in the 8 years she called it home ... the White House stays the White House. (TMZ)

It's expensive as hell to protect presidential candidates like Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump ... which explains why the Secret Service drops the loser FAST ... but maybe not as fast as you think. The federal government shells out about $40k PER DAY to protect Hillary -- code name "Evergreen" -- and Donald -- code name "Mogul." The cost of protecting candidates in 2012 reportedly approached $113 million. There's no hard-and-fast rule on when the Secret Service stops protecting the loser. It's done on a case-by-case ... but typically, agents say sayonara to the loser about a week after the election. The asterisk in this case is Hillary -- as a former First Lady she gets lifetime protection, anyway. But this wacky election season has been anything but typical ... and with rampant terrorist threats it's possible the detail sticks around a little longer. So ... enjoy the black suits while they last. (TMZ)

A Georgia voter nearly got screwed out of casting his ballot because of an alleged computer glitch, but he thinks something's suspicious ... and Donald Trump might wanna pay attention. Todd Saine tells TMZ he was checking in to his polling place at Columbus Technical College Tuesday morning when the polling staff told him he already voted, and couldn't cast another vote. Todd says he was forced to wait in line with many others who had the same problem. Eventually, a supervisor for the Columbus County election board came to the polling place to sort out the mess. After the supervisor questioned him, Todd says they deleted his record of voting and allowed him to cast his actual vote ... for Donald Trump. We spoke with the Director of Elections and Registration in Columbus, who confirmed there was an issue with the electronic poll lists, and they've now switched to using paper lists to check in voters for the rest of the day. Todd says there were dozens of people affected, but the Director says it was 5 to 10 people. The official says no votes were compromised. Todd seems less than convinced. (TMZ)

Shakira Shares Videos of Studio Session With Maluma From the Making of "Chantaje." We love to imagine what the songwriting process is like between two artists that put together a hit song. But now, thanks to Shakira we know exactly how she and Maluma created their chart-topping track. The 39-year-old shared the process that she and the 22-year-old singer took to even came up with certain lyrics for "Chantaje." In one of the videos shared on the singer's Instagram account, they're both listening to the track and debating on a certain phrase in the chorus. Maluma just hit his fourth No. 1 on Billboard's Latin Airplay chart with "Chantaje." "I am so grateful to Shakira for having invited me to work with her in the studio--it has been an unforgettable experience-- and to now receive this number one for our song together is a great honor. Thanks as well to radio and the fans for your support," the singer said upon receiving the news. The mother of two has shared a video each day of the song-making journey between the two. On Monday, Nov. 7, Shakira announced that she would be canceling her appearances at the Latin Grammys and American Music Awards. "Due to personal matters, I won't be able to travel to Las Vegas & LA to attend the @LatinGRAMMYs or the @AMAs this year," she tweeted. "I will be accompanying @carlosvives in spirit @LatinGRAMMYs, celebrating this incredible year that we've shared together with #LaBicicleta." (Eonline)

It has been an AMAZING year for Adele. She has performed to a packed arena every night, she has reportedly got engaged and now she has topped Britain's 30 Richest Under 30 list. Lend us a fiver will you, Adele? The singer has beaten One Direction's three-year reign with an estimated net-worth of £92 million. Almost tripling her £38.1 million figure that saw her come in fourth place last year. Bad news for the 1D boys, the group's sabbatical time took a hit on their earnings. We don't think they'll be crying though, what with still being rich. And even after their split they are still high up there in the charts. Original band member Zyan Malik ranks as the wealthiest of the group coming in fourth with £38 million. Harry scored the fifth slot, Liam the seventh and Niall the eight. The actress Emma Watson comes in sixth in between the boys. Fellow Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe came in second place with a £74 million net worth. Followed by Ed Sheeran, newbie to the list, with £74 million. (British Glamour)

Grimes Posts Throwback 'Daisy' Nuclear War Campaign Video for Hillary Clinton. Joining a raft of celebrities who've voiced their support for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in the run-up to Tuesday's (Nov. 8) crucial election day, Grimes posted a video on Monday night (Nov. 7) in an attempt at one final push to the polls. For fans who are too young to remember (which is probably most of them) the arty one-minute clip is a nearly shot-for-shot remake of Democratic incumbent Lyndon Johnson's terrifying 1964 election ad which attempted to scare the crap out of voters by suggesting that a potential nuclear war could be in the balance. As in Johnson's ad, which only aired once and is considered one of the most controversial political ads of all time, Grimes used the image and sound of a girl counting down as she picks the petals off of a flower, subbing in her hands in place of the original grade schooler. Also like the original, Grimes' clip features a nuclear explosion and Johnson solemnly intoning: "These are the stakes. To make a world in which all of God's children can live, or to go into the dark. We must either love each other, or we must die." In a crackly recording, the pitch ends with Grimes saying "Vote for Secretary Clinton on November 8th... the stakes are too high for you to stay home." (Billboard)

Robbie Williams Swinging Toward a 12th U.K. No. 1 Album. Robbie Williams is Britain's man of the moment. The pop star was honored on Monday (Nov. 7) with the BRITs Icon Award, joining Elton John and the late David Bowie as the only recipients of the BRIT Awards' highest accolade. And come Friday, he could have his 12th No. 1 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart. Williams' The Heavy Entertainment Show (Columbia), his first release through Sony Music, has a comfortable lead over Michael Ball & Alfie Boe's second-placed Together (Decca) at the midway stage of the chart week, according to the Official Charts Company. Williams, the former Take That singer, is recognized as the most successful British solo artist in U.K. chart history. Nine of his 10 previous studio albums have reached reach No. 1 on the Official Albums Chart, as have two greatest hits compilations. Only two other solo artists have achieved more No. 1 albums in the U.K.: Elvis Presley, who just two weeks ago posthumously set the record with 13, and Madonna with 12. Bon Jovi's 13th studio album This House Is Not for Sale (EMI) is at No. 3 on the Official, Michael Buble's Nobody But Me (Reprise) is at No. 4 and the Canadian crooner's Christmas set returns to the top tier at No. 8. Elvis Presley's former chart-topper The Wonder of You (Legacy/RCA) is at No. 5 while new releases from Queen, Alicia Keys and Russell Watson are on track to crack the top 30. Meanwhile, Clean Bandit could steal the U.K. singles chart crown with "Rockabye" (Atlantic). "Rockabye," which features rapper Sean Paul and newcomer Anne-Marie, debuted at No. 7 two weeks ago and currently sits at No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart Update. The English electronic has already sampled life at the U.K. chart summit with "Rather Be," which spent four weeks at No. 1 in January 2014 (violinist Neil Milan has since left the band). Little Mix's "Shout Out To My Ex" (Syco) dips to No. 2 on the midweek chart, James Arthur's hit "Say You Won't Let Go" (Columbia) is at No. 3, Bruno Mars' "24k Magic" (Atlantic) is up at No. 4 and the Weeknd featuring Daft Punk's "Starboy" (Republic) completes the top 5. Here's How the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Cast Kept Johnny Depp's Cameo a Secret for So Long. In this day and age, it's pretty hard to keep a good secret in Hollywood. But somehow, someway, the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them cast was able to zip their lips for a long time in regards to Johnny Depp's cameo in the film. So how did they do it? As it turns out, timing is everything. "Wait, Johnny Depp is in this movie? We know nothing. We can reveal nothing," Eddie Redmayne joked to E! News. "One of the wonderful things about making this film was the story that J.K. Rowling had written and the surprises and secrecy for it." He continued, "I know in the age of social media, it's impossible to keep those secrets but if there's any way we can keep some of them secret, it would be so lovely to do." Just one day after Halloween, reports surfaced that Johnny would be joining the cast for the second installment of the franchise. In addition, Deadline hinted that you may be able to spot the famous actor in the first installment when it hits theaters November 18. "We didn't have to keep it for that long because we only found out shortly before it was released publicly, luckily," Alison Sudol confessed to E! News. "And we've had to keep so many secrets at this point that we basically are used to having to be vaults." "I didn't know until very late so I didn't feel like I had to keep [it a secret]," Colin Farrell added before cracking a joke. "I don't have any friends so." Johnny's exact role in the film remains pretty tight-lip, for now. For those not up to date on one of the year's most anticipated movies, Fantastic Beasts documents the adventures of writer Newt Scamander in New York's secret community of witches and wizards 70 years before Harry Potter reads his book in school. With less than two weeks until the Warner Bros film hits theaters everywhere, the cast can feel the excitement surrounding the project. "The stakes are high because [Harry Potter movies] were so good before," Eddie shared with E! News' Marc Malkin last September. "You don't want to screw it up." He added, "It's a complete privilege for me. I love J.K. Rowling. I love the Harry Potter films [and] books so for me this is just the most wondrous gift really." (Eonline)

A 2008 Comic Revealed Which DC Heroes Were Republicans and Democrats. Is Wonder Woman a conservative or a liberal? What about Batman? In 2008, 'DC Universe: Decisions' decided to canonically reveal all. This year's Presidential election has divided the country in a way that few other elections in U.S. history have managed. However, throughout it all, the fictional heroes of the Marvel and DC comic book universes have remained above the fray in all but the most coded of ways. This wasn't always the case, however; as recently as 2008, DC's heroes took very specific political stands -- including declaring which party they stood beside. DC Universe: Decisions was a four-issue mini-series published in the run-up to the 2008 election, written by Bill Willingham and Judd Winick, with art by Rick Leonardi and Howard Porter. The plot, such as it was, was slight -- a serial killer targets each of the candidates in the primary races for both Democratic and Republican parties, meaning that each candidate is given embeds of superheroic bodyguards to protect them -- but the real appeal of the series was seeing favorite superheroes express their political opinions in a manner sure to upset at least half of their fanbases. In many ways, it's an idea that seems unthinkable today. For all that Captain America is an inherently political figure, it's hard to imagine Marvel allowing him to endorse Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump today despite the obvious reasons Cap would feel uncomfortable with the latter. Why risk upsetting half of your potential customer base? That's not to say that endorsements wouldn't come following the election -- President Obama famously appeared in a best-selling issue of Amazing Spider-Man released a week ahead of his inauguration in January 2009 -- or that other, independently-owned, superheroes would declare their allegiances; the September 2008 issue of Erik Larsen's Savage Dragon featured an alternate cover where the hero stood beside Obama, declaring "I'm Savage Dragon and I endorse Barack Obama for President of the United States!" But the big-name, company-owned characters... ? That would be way too risky. Of course, Decisions didn't go so far as to use real life politicians. Instead, the fictional universe that had once elected Lex Luthor to the Oval Office -- it didn't go well, unsurprisingly -- was choosing between Davis Brewster and Martin Suarez on the Democratic side, and Katherine McClellan and Bob Ridgeway for the Republicans. Of the top-level DC characters, the Republicans came out on top, scoring two separate Green Lanterns, as well as Lois Lane and Wonder Woman. The Democrats, meanwhile, got the support of Batman and Green Arrow. The Flash and Superman went undeclared throughout the entire series -- the speedster because of a joke that went viral, leaving him responsible for PR clean-up instead of sharing his opinion, while the Man of Steel purposefully kept his decision to himself, leading to a climactic speech where he explained his thinking. "It would be unconscionable of me to share [my endorsement] with you," he explained. "Whoever is elected to the highest office in the land should not think that they will not have our full support. That our allegiances are stronger with a defeated candidate. We don't take sides. The battles we fight are larger than those on the political spectrum. It would pain me to think the President would believe that he or she couldn't count on us, turn to us, or rely on us." It's a meta moment, with Superman explaining another (less cynical) reason why politicizing superheroes might not be a good decision -- while there's a certain fun to creating a personal canon where Wonder Woman joins Beyonce in supporting Hillary Clinton as a fellow female warrior, superheroes really should be for everyone, regardless of who they choose to vote for. Sure, Superman personally might not want to vote for a politician who lies, or makes hateful remarks, but it only makes sense that he wouldn't speak out against him publicly -- especially when there's so much melodramatic angst to be had as he wrestles with the idea that the country he loves has chosen a leader he can't stand. And, sure; I'm talking about Lex Luthor here. Definitely. If there's one fault with DC Universe: Decisions, beyond the arguments one might have with the political leanings of any given superhero (Plastic Man as a Republican? Nah), it's that there isn't a scene where a superhero explains that each and every person who votes is just as much a hero as they are -- or one where Spider-Man swings by from the Marvel universe to remind people that, with great power must come great responsibility. A small oversight, perhaps, but a noticeable one. Perhaps good enough reason for a Decisions 2in 2020... ? (Hollywood Reporter)

Cinemark Not Interested in "Day-and-Date Model," CEO Says. Mark Zoradi says the exhibitor has had "preliminary" talks with studios about potential premium video-on-demand offers. Movie release windows were a topic of debate on Cinemark Holdings' earnings conference call on Tuesday. 21st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch earlier this fall caused debate when he suggested at an investor conference that theatrical windows imposed by cinema operators can be "crazy" as movies become available for home viewing with delay. National Association of Theater Owners president John Fithian shot back, saying: "Fox and its distribution team have long been and continue to be trusted and valued partners for exhibitors. Mr. Murdoch should be careful he doesn't undermine that trust." AMC Theatres president and CEO Adam Aron then called NATO's comment "condescending and gratuitous." Asked on Tuesday by an analyst if Murdoch's comments sounded valid or crazy to him, Cinemark CEO Zoradi said on the call: "I wouldn't categorize it as crazy. But I would say that at this point, we don't have an interest in a day-and-date model." He added: "We'll certainly talk with our studio partners about potential premium video-on-demand and determine what would be advantageous to both them and us." Zoradi, a former DreamWorks Animation COO, former president and COO of Dick Cook Studios and former Disney executive, added that Cinemark was in "preliminary discussions" about that issue. "There are certainly discussions ... going on with ourselves and various studios, but at this point I would categorize them all as very preliminary, so there is nothing to really discuss or announce at this point." A Big Bang Theory Spinoff About This Character Is In the Works. Attention Big Bang Theory fans: You could soon have twice the BBT in your lives on a weekly basis, because CBS is reportedly working on a spinoff series centered around one character in particular. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network is developing a spinoff about the life of young Sheldon Cooper. The new show would reportedly focus on a teenage version of the genius theoretical physicist and comes from Big Bang co-creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady along with showrunner Steve Molaro, though none of the current BBT cast is involved, according to THR. CBS had no comment on the potential new series. THR's insider reports that the prequel would be single-cam (as opposed to BBT's multi-cam format), and Malcolm in the Middle-esque in tone. As you'll recall from BBT lore, Sheldon (played by Emmy winner Jim Parsons) was a child prodigy who graduated from college summa cum laude as a teen, and then went on to earn his doctorate (and plenty of other degrees). As for The Big Bang Theory itself, CBS boss Glenn Geller told reporters this summer that not only does he intend to keep BBT on the air for as long as possible, there's no end in sight. "We are very confident that everyone involved wants more Big Bang past year 10 and I know Warner Bros. will make those deals," he told reporters in August, later adding, "We'll put it on for as long as everyone wants Big Bang on the air. I hope it lasts forever." The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on CBS. (Eonline)

That's So Raven Spinoff Details: Meet Raven's Kids! World, meet Raven Baxter's kids! Casting is underway for the just-announced That's So Raven spinoff, and E! News has exclusive intel on the new characters we'll meet when the as-yet-untitled series debuts in 2017. The show follows the two pre-teen children of divorced mom Raven (original star Raven-Symone, who is also producing the new series). One of the kiddos has inherited Raven's ability to see glimpses of the future. Those children are: Nia, Raven's bold and confident daughter who frequently finds herself in over her head. She's well-intentioned and won't give up when she sets her mind to something (even if it gets her into trouble), and always wants to help people and do what's right. She just started middle school and is great at science (though average in other subjects) -- and her life gets way more complicated when she suddenly gets the power to see visions of the future. Booker, Raven's sweet, naive younger son, a young Donald Glover type. He's gullible and innocent and in no rush to grow up -- and is an unapologetic mama's boy. He won't do something bad unless he's tricked into it (which is pretty easy to do), but will stand up for himself when he finally catches on to what's happening. Raven announced in late October that she's leaving The View at the end of the year to work on the new series. There's no title yet, but she's calling it That's So Raven 2. "I'm just so excited," she said. "Raven's brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel's success around the world. Her performance in That's So Raven is timeless," said Disney Channels Worldwide executive vice president of original programming Adam Bonnett in a statement when the news was announced. "We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we're looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family." Production is scheduled to begin on the new series in early 2017. (Eonline)
