Nighttime restrictions early next week on Interstate 10 at Craycroft Road in Tucson

Travelers on Interstate 10 in Tucson will encounter restrictions at the Craycroft Road traffic interchange overnight Monday, Nov. 21, and Tuesday, Nov. 22.

The left lanes of both eastbound and westbound I-10 will be closed at Craycroft Road (Exit 268) from 9 p.m. each night until5 a.m. the following morning to allow crews to prepare for installation of a temporary construction bridge between the two existing bridges.

One lane will remain open in each direction throughout the work and no ramps will be closed.

The temporary bridge will allow traffic to remain on I-10 while the Arizona Department of Transportation replaces the decks on both the eastbound and westbound bridges over Craycroft Road.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction equipment and personnel.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but it’s possible that unscheduled closures or restrictions might occur because of weather or other factors. For the most current information about highway closures and restrictions statewide, visit ADOT’s Travel Information Site at www.az511.gov, follow us on Twitter (@ArizonaDOT) or call 511, except while driving.
