TODAY IS

It's Veterans Day. Thank you for your service. Banks, the post office and government offices are closed. Wall Street is open. Wouldn't hurt to put a flag out.

Rapper Lil' Dave turns 34 today. I'd never heard of him before. Probably because he's had Lil' success.

Leonardo DiCaprio turns 42 today and is pretty much king of his world.
He can act his age and just about any age, for that matter.
So far, his career has avoided all the icebergs.
I don't know about you, but I was really surprised that he was even still around after going down with the Titanic.

Supergirl's former boss, Calista Flockhart turns 52 today and is so skinny. When they light her birthday cake, she has to be careful not to be too close and get mistaken for a candle. Go ahead and celebrate her birthday on Veterans Day because everyone is always trying to run an American flag up her.

Demi Moore turns 54 today. She was quite the sex symbol in her younger years. Now, she's old enough to be the mom of Bruce Willis' current wife.

National Sundae Day -- the first ice cream sundae was said to be served by accident way back in 1881. Druggist Edward Berner of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, couldn't serve flavored soda water on the Sabbath so he compromised and put ice cream in a dish and poured the syrup on top. It was called an ice cream Sunday. The spelling was later changed to "sundae."
