Prince Harry Is Engaged to Meghan Markle. A royal wedding is on its way again. Prince Harry is engaged to Meghan Markle, Clarence House announced Monday. The 33-year-old royal asked the 36-year-old American actress to marry him a year and a half after they started secretly dating. They became engaged in London earlier this month. Prince Harry has informed Queen Elizabeth II and other close members of the royal family, and he asked Meghan's parents' permission before he proposed. The couple's wedding will take place in spring 2018.; further details will be announced in due course. The couple will appear for a photo call at Kensington Palace Monday afternoon. They will also take part in a broadcast interview to air that evening. After their wedding, the couple will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace. While sparks between the Prince of Wales and the Suits star initially flew under the radar, it wasn't long before their secret romance made headlines in early November 2016. However, Prince Harry didn't take kindly to the international press' sudden and incessant "harassment" of his girlfriend and came to her defense by way of an official statement from Kensington Palace. "Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle's safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her," the palace said. "It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm." "He knows commentators will say this is 'the price she has to pay' and that 'this is all part of the game'. He strongly disagrees," the statement continued. "This is not a game -- it is her life and his." As a source predicted early on in November, a speedy engagement was not out of character for the prince. "It wouldn't surprise me if he's already thinking about engagement just because that's where his head goes," the source told E! News early on in the relationship. "This is totally Harry. The problem with Harry is when he falls, he falls hard. He goes in big time." While the American star and the British royal seemed like an unlikely pair on paper, their shared passions for foreign relations, activism and public service offered common ground for their romance to stand on. As the world learned about the couple, they had already become "serious." "Meghan would say it's serious too, both of them do think that way," a source said. According to another insider, Harry is the happiest he's been in a while. "He's happier than he's been for many years," a source close to the Prince shared with the Sunday Express. "He's in a very relaxed period of his life and Meghan has come along at the right time. They are taking each week as it comes and just enjoying each other's company but it's fair to say that they love seeing each other and there's a definite chemistry between them." While they were separated by an ocean and time zone, the royal redhead and American star made it a point to visit each other as frequently as their packed schedules allowed. Before Thanksgiving 2016, Markle reportedly headed to Kensington Palace's Nottingham Cottage to stay with her beau and, after the holiday, the prince wrapped up a tour of the Caribbean with a quick trip to Toronto to see his girlfriend. "Harry has been traveling and wanted to make time to see Meghan," a source told E! News at the time. "They wanted their time together to be private." A week later, the two were spotted buying their first Christmas tree together back in London. It was during that trip that photographers finally captured the first photo of the couple together taking a stroll in London after seeing a play. As a source told The Sun, which first published the images, "They were clearly not afraid to be seen in public together." Though they spent Christmas 2016 apart, they rang in 2017 together in London before heading to Norway for a vacation, complete with whale-watching and attempts to see the Northern Lights. Little did the world know, we would be seeing a lot more of Prince Harry and Markle in the new year. By February, they were a touch more public about their romance as they let themselves be photographed while leaving a dinner at Soho House hand in hand. Soon, it was time to meet the friends. The royal brought Markle to Jamaica the next month as his plus one for his best friend Tom Inskip's wedding. It was around that time that E! News learned the actress was ready to step away from the Hollywood spotlight. "Even before Harry, she was starting to think about transitioning out of acting," an insider said. "She wants to focus on other worldly endeavors she is passionate about, like her philanthropy." A month later, she shut down her lifestyle website, The Tig. Markle was previously married to film producer Trevor Engelson for two years before their divorce in 2013. (Eonline)

Prince Harry Designed Meghan Markle's Engagement Ring Using Princess Diana's Diamonds: All the Details! After Clarence house confirmed their plans to tie the knot, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their first public appearance as an engaged couple at Kensington Palace and showed the world her very special ring. A source told E! News, Prince Harry designed the ring himself and that it was made by Cleave and Company, court jewelers and medallists to Queen Elizabeth II. The prince clearly put a lot of thought into the ring and wanted to make it special for his bride-to-be. According to the insider, the ring features a center stone from Botswana -- a place Prince Harry has visited since he was a child. It's also a country the two lovebirds visited this summer to celebrate the Suits star's 36th birthday. In addition to the gorgeous center stone, the ring includes two outside diamonds. The source told E! News the stones are from the personal collection of Prince Harry's mother, the late Princess Diana. As for the band, Prince Harry went with a time-honored and classic gold band. During their public appearance, Prince Harry and Markle posed for pictures and answered a few questions from the press. Wearing the color of a future bride, Markle donned a white coat by The Line The Label for the occasion. She also wore her hair down and accessorized with nude heels. Prince Harry wore a navy suit. The wedding is scheduled to take place this spring. Congratulations to the happy couple! (Eonline)

Prince Harry hadn't even finished his proposal when Meghan Markle kept interrupting -- CAN I SAY YES NOW?! The newly engaged couple dished details about their engagement in an interview with the BBC ... revealing some pretty spectacular details about how it all went down. According to the couple ... the engagement happened a few weeks ago earlier this month at Harry's Nottingham Cottage inside Kensington Palace. Harry got down on one knee and made his case ... but apparently a way-too-excited Meghan couldn't and wouldn't let him finish before charmingly butting in and asking, "Can I say yes now?" Adorbs. And check this out ... Harry included 2 diamonds that belonged to his mother, Princess Diana, in Meghan's engagement ring "to make sure that she's with us on this crazy journey together." Harry and Meghan met about a year and a half ago, but the relationship was turbocharged just 4 weeks into it ... when they headed to Botswana. Turns out, they never went more than 2 weeks without seeing each other. Completely fooled us. Again ... congrats! (TMZ)

Gwen Stefani's Sons Go Country for Oklahoma Holiday Weekend With Blake Shelton. Gwen Stefani's three sons are a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll... Stefani, whose Christmas duet and new album You Make It Feel Like Christmas is at No. 5, and her three boys, Kingston, 11, Zuma, 9, and Apollo, 3, have been enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday weekend at boyfriend Blake Shelton's home in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. The California-born-and-bred singer and her country crooner brought along the boys, who seemed to dive into camo gear and the slower pace of life. The group, who was joined by Gwen's brother Todd Stefani and sister-in-law Jennifer and their kids, appeared to have a blast in the country wearing cozy sweaters, doing some off-roading with the boys and even going on a helicopter ride with the fam -- and the whole thing was shared on Snapchat. Gwen may be on a 'copter, but that doesn't mean her signature red lip wasn't perfect! On Sunday, the singer took to Instagram to share a photo of her son Kingston, clad in camo, gassing up at the pump. She then posted a video off-roading. Soon after that adventure, she posted a high-flying video of herself, Apollo. Earlier in the day, Stefani also took a minute to thank her fans for making her new album No. 5 on the charts right now. "I am freaking out. I can't believe you guys made my record No. 5. So in honor of that -- cheers!" The album just knocked out Maroon 5's Red Pill Blues for the hot spot. Looks like Stefani and Shelton have a lot to gloat over to their Voice co-star Adam Levine. On Thanksgiving, Stefani also took to Instagram to post a too-cute couples photo of herself and Blake, with holidays sweaters aplenty, with her brother and sister-in-law. The No Doubt singer also posted a photo of her Oklahoma superstar fishing with her arm around her youngest son. She wrote the caption, "Grateful." Shelton and Stefani's road to finding true love was a long one. They started dating two years ago after painful divorces. Shelton separated from country singer Miranda Lambert right around the same time that Stefani divorced her husband of 13 years and father of her sons, Gavin Rossdale. Looks like two years in, these two are still all about each other! (Eonline)

Gwyneth Paltrow Spends Thanksgiving Weekend With Rumored Fiance Brad Falchuk and Ex Chris Martin. Talk about modern love! Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have proved that their oft-mocked "conscious uncoupling" really does work. The celebrity shared a happy Instagram image with her rocker ex-husband and her rumored fiance Brad Falchuk on Sunday. Despite the potential awkward situation, the A-list actress' current and former men appear to be thick as thieves, enjoying some good eats round the table together. The 45-year-old posted the Instagram photo of the two smiling men seated at the breakfast table with the caption, "Sunday brunch #modernfamily." For those with eagle eyes who want to know just what the Goop founder eats for brunch, the product between the two men is a jar of Pesek Zman, an Israeli chocolate spread (kind of like Nutella, but not Nutella). Last week, E! News reported that the TV producer and the domestic goddess had gotten engaged after more than three years of dating, but have yet to confirm their status update on their tight-lipped relationship. Meanwhile, Paltrow and Falchuk met on the set of Glee -- which Falchuk co-created and executive produced -- in 2010 and were rumored to have been dating for a year before they finally confirmed their romance in 2015. Gwyneth was married to the Coldplay frontman for 10 years before they decided to split in March of 2014, a few months before she began seeing Brad. The pair have son Moses and daughter Apple. Falchuk, on the other hand, was married to Suzanne Falchuk for 19 years before they split in 2013. They share two kids together as well, a daughter and a son named Isabella and Brody. This modern family seems to make it work. (Eonline)

Davina McCall splits with her husband of 17 years & the Internet is crushed. "Our amazing children are our number one priority" Davina McCall and her husband Matthew Robertson have split up after 17 years of marriage. Love is officially dead. Of all the celebrity splits to get our heads around, we didn't see this one coming. The TV presenter, 50, confirmed the news of her split to The Telegraph via a statement. She said: "I am very sad to say that Matthew and I have separated. Our amazing children are our number one priority, above everything else so therefore we ask for as much space and respect from the media as possible while our family goes through this difficult time." Davina and her husband Matthew, 48, met by chance when they were walking their dogs on Clapham Common. The pair later got married in 2000 and have since had three children together. The pair renewed their vows in 2015. At the time, Davina said in an interview: "Often people renew their vows because they're on the verge of divorce. But it wasn't like that. We are very romantic." Earlier this week, Davina posted a quote to her Instagram which read: "Every morning we get a chance to be different. A chance to change. A chance to be better. Your past is in your past. Leave it there. Get on with the future part." Under it she wrote: "I really know about this one... I have made so many mistakes in my life ... but there is always a new day ??" (British Glamour)

Harvey and Bob Weinstein are being sued by a woman who claims Harvey sexually assaulted her in Cannes, France, but this case is different because it's filed under the federal sex trafficking law ... TMZ has learned. Kadian Noble, an aspiring actress, claims Harvey met her in London and told her he could help launch her career. She says in February 2014, they were both in Cannes when he asked her to come to the Le Majestic Hotel where he would review her reel and discuss her future. Noble says she showed up and Harvey sat next to her, started massaging her and gripping her shoulders. She says he then asked her to walk up and down the room for him "for audition purposes." And then she says he called a producer at The Weinstein Company who told her she needed to be "a good girl and do whatever he wished," adding if she did then they would work with her. Kadian says Harvey then groped her breasts, and she screamed, "No Harvey, no!" According to the lawsuit, filed by attorney Jeff Herman, she says she felt compelled to comply because of the tangible and intangible benefits she would get from a "favorable relationship" with Harvey. The actress says it didn't stop ... Harvey forcibly pulled her into the bathroom and started rubbing her breast and buttocks. She attempted to leave, she says, but he blocked the exit. She says he then pulled down her shirt and unbuckled his pants. She pled with him to stop, and he then forced his leg between her legs, rubbing her vagina, and then took his penis out and masturbated. She says he then grabbed her hand, placed it on his penis and forced her to masturbate him to climax ... this as he held her down with his other hand. The lawsuit claims Bob Weinstein facilitated the sex acts by either knowing of or recklessly disregarding Harvey's pattern and practice of traveling abroad "to entice or recruit or solicit young female actors with the promise of roles in upcoming TWC projects ... knowing that he would then use fraud, force or coercion to engage in sex acts with these actors." The lawsuit also names TWC as a defendant, claiming there was a code word among TWC employees -- FOH, or Friends of Harvey -- which referred to a young woman who had participated in sex in exchange for a role or a position in an upcoming project. TWC employees, the lawsuit claims, "knew to 'take care' of the FOH's." The suit alleges a violation of the sex trafficking statute, which prohibits people from recruiting people to engage in a sex act through means of force, threats of force, fraud or coercion in interstate or foreign commerce. The theory is that Weinstein dangled false promises of stardom to obtain sexual gratification. The statute of limitations for sex trafficking is 10 years. If it turns out to be a viable legal theory, it could open the door to other lawsuits which could not otherwise be filed because of shorter statutes of limitations. (TMZ)

THE OTHER STUFF . . .

Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters Crowned Miss Universe 2017. Bring out the tiara, because there is a new Miss Universe to crown. At the beginning of Sunday night's pageant, 92 women from across the globe competed in the annual competition. But as so many viewers know, only one woman can walk away from the 66th Miss Universe Competition as the winner. Congratulations are in order for Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. Miss Jamaica Davina Bennett was second runner-up and Miss Columbia Laura Gonzalez was runner-up. Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere from France was on hand to crown the winner from The Axis at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Three days of preliminary interviews along with a swimsuit and evening gown presentation show took place before the live broadcast. During the competition, the 22-year-old wowed the judges with her brains, beauty and charisma. Soon after Sunday night's show began, the 16 semi-finalists and then Top 10 were named. They went on to compete in swimwear, evening gown, final question and final look. Before reading the winner off the paper, Harvey made reference to his headline-making gaffe in 2015 when he accidentally called out Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner, instead of Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. When he was presented with the names of the winner Sunday night, Harvey joked to the contestants, "Be afraid. Be very afraid." In the Final Word round, Harvey asked, "What quality in yourself are you most proud of and how will you apply that quality to your time as Miss Universe?" As Miss Universe you have to be confident in who you are as an individual. And Miss Universe is a woman that has overcome many fears and by that she is able to help other women to overcome their fears. She is a woman that nothing is ever too much to ask for and I think that is exactly who I am." According to her bio on the official Miss Universe website, Nel-Peters "recently earned her degree in Business Management at North West University after making history at her high school for holding two leadership positions." Sunday night's judges included Ross Mathews, Lele Pons, Jay Manuel, Megan Olivi, Pia Wurtzbach and Wendy Fitzwilliam. A whopping 92 women from around the world, including Miss USA Kára McCullough (formerly Miss District of Columbia), competed in the annual event. Earlier this week, the contestants modeled some seriously stunning evening gowns at a preliminary competition. Fergie and Rachel Platten performed onstage, while model Ashley Graham served as a backstage host with Carson Kressley. (Eonline)

Country music star Keith Urban is purchasing a lavish $39 million Manhattan townhouse for his wife Nicole Kidman so she can take her acting career to Broadway, according to a report. Urban bought the six-story Upper East Side townhouse -- which Michael Jackson once called home -- so the Oscar winner, 50, can pursue her stage dreams in the city after starring in a London production of the award-winning play " Photograph 21," according to Women's Day. "Nicole is keen to do Broadway shows and get into making TV programs and New York is a much better place ?for them to be than Nashville," a source told the magazine. Industry sources say the townhouse is still on the market, however, and no deal has been made. The six-story limestone and red brick mansion was put on the market by billionaire hedge funder Marc Lasry The Post first reported earlier this month. Built in 1898, the 25-foot-wide home is 12,745 square feet and comes with 16 rooms, including seven bedrooms. The mansion features an oak staircase and 10 wood burning fireplaces. It's 'Decorating Day' in Cleveland! Khloe Kardashian Documents Putting Up Her Christmas Tree. 'Tis the season -- to start decorating! On Sunday, Khloe Kardashian officially kicked off her holiday season and began prepping her home for Christmas. "The beginning," the pregnant Keeping Up With the Kardashians star wrote alongside a picture of a big evergreen tree that was already covered with strings of lights. Next, she shared a photo of multiple well-organized bins of various gold and silver Christmas ornaments, that will assumedly cover her tree's bare branches. "Decorating Day," she captioned the photo. The expectant mother also posted a third photo of her decorations -- thin golden wire trees rising up from a verdant garland -- with a "Khloe in Cleveland" filter, revealing that the Good American designer was in the Ohio home she shares with boyfriend Tristan Thompson. Over-the-top Christmas decorations are a long-running tradition in the KarJenner family, but so far matriarch Kris Jenner's decor choices have been the most extravagant. Last year, the momager upped the decorating ante by pairing with floral designer Jeff Leatham to help decide the vision for her tree. The winning motif? "Kandyland-chic," complete with a red-and-white color scheme and elaborate custom pieces. "One of the fun things is just deciding on what the theme of the tree is going to be because that sets the tone for the entire house," Jenner told Architectural Digest, who covered the impressive 2016 decorations, which also included multiple giant nutcrackers. But while Jenner would probably be proud of her daughter's Christmas decorations, there is one part of Kardashian's holiday season routine she isn't confident her mother would approve of: her gift-wrapping abilities. Last year, in a video on her app, Kardashian attempted to share her present wrapping secrets, but she ran into a few problems first: namely scissors that don't glide and double-stick tape that won't hold. "Kris Jenner would be so disappointed right now," she said. However, Kardashian did offer up a very valuable piece of advice on choosing your wrapping materials wisely: "Do not buy glitter wrapping paper. That s -- gets everywhere. I've done that a few years and my whole family gets mad at me." (People)

Scott Disick and Mason Jet Off on Father-Son Trip Over Thanksgiving Weekend. Scott Disick treated son Mason to a boys' trip over the Thanksgiving holiday. The two started this trip by jetting off to New York City. On Black Friday, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shared on his Instagram page a photo of him and Mason, 7, standing in front of the British Airways Concorde jet at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. "Take off," Scott wrote. The two then headed south to Miami. Later that day, Scott posted a pic of the two-standing next to a luxury helicopter provided by the Setai, Miami Beach Hotel. "We got the moves," he wrote. On Saturday, the two lounged on the beach at the Setai resort with several of Scott's friends. Scott was spotted sipping on a couple of beverages, including fresh coconut milk provided by the hotel. He and Mason were also seen walking together on the beach on Sunday. Scott's ex and the child's mom Kourtney Kardashian "thought it would be nice for Mason to get quality time with his dad," a source told E! News. Kourtney and her and Scott's other two children -- Penelope, 5, and Reign, 2, stayed in California. Just before Thanksgiving, the three took a trip and stayed in a bungalow near a beach. On Thanksgiving Day, they joined her mom and sisters at Kylie Jenner's home, where she hosted a Thanksgiving dinner. Hours beforehand, Scott shared on Instagram a sweet video of him with his youngest kids. Sofia Richie, who Scott has been seeing for the past few months, also spent the Thanksgiving holiday back in Los Angeles. She was spotted grabbing takeout food by herself on Thanksgiving Day. On Black Friday, she shared an Instagram Stories video of someone massaging her feet, with the caption "best part of my week." (Eonline)

Ivana Trump "doesn't envy" her former husband President Donald Trump. The first wife of the former real estate mogul appeared on The Ray D'Arcy Show in Ireland, where she discussed whether the president would run for a second term in office. "I think he's missing a little bit of his old life," she said. "You know he was in Trump Tower, and he would go to Mar-a-Lago, he would go to play golf on Westchester, and things like that. Now from 8 o'clock in the morning to midnight, he's working, working, working and everybody shoves at him the problem of the country." The 68-year-old former model added -- to laughs from the audience -- "I don't envy him, I think he must be freaking exhausted." Ivana also addressed calling herself the "first lady" during an interview on Good Morning America last month, a comment she said upset the president's wife Melania Trump. "I said, 'I'm first Trump lady. I'm first Trump lady,' and first lady went bananas over it," she explained. "I have no idea why. I don't know how it sparkled, but I am definitely first Trump lady." She said, "I was married to Donald. I have three kids with him, and I have no idea why she resents it," adding, "Who cares?" When asked if she thought Melania was doing a good job as first lady, Ivana quipped, "I thinks she's trying her best." I was married to President Trump from 1977 to 1992 and is mother to his three eldest children: Donald Jr., Eric and Ivanka. However, she explained during the appearance that her husband wasn't exactly a hands-on father -- and there was "no way" he was changing diapers. "He was very caring. He loved the kids. But he would not really be a dad that would take them for a stroll in Central Park or go to play soccer with them... He was always on the telephone making the business," she said. Ivana explained that her kids would play with Legos in their dad's office before heading off to school and then see him after, but the president really waited until the trio was in college to bond so they could talk business. Stassi Schroeder has issued a second apology after being dropped by multiple advertisers for her take on the #MeToo campaign on her podcast Friday. The Vanderpump Rules star shared on her website that "the idea of anyone being sexually assaulted horrifies me. The fact that I've upset women who have been sexually assaulted horrifies me. And for that I am truly, truly sorry." "My intentions with this latest episode got lost with some of the comments I made that were insensitive and thoughtless," she continued. "Before I explain my intent, I want to WHOLLY apologize for the flippant remarks where I said that no one could make me go down on someone, where I said it is easy to say no, and where I said it's easy to not go to someone's hotel room alone. I don't know what each individual woman was being put through in each instance. That was inexcusable and reckless of me." "I've read countless emails from you where you've shared your stories with me. Some of your stories have shown me just how sorry I am for lumping sexual assault victims into one category and making those ignorant remarks. Other stories have made me realize that there still is a dialogue that people are having privately, a dialogue that we might not be ready for publicly," she added. Schroeder explained why she decided to broach this sensitive issue on her podcast. "The whole purpose of the episode was to bring attention to real victims of sexual assault," she said. "While we all have a different level of what we deem assault, a story about a man touching a woman's backside isn't the same as being sexually raped. And I have felt like these stories have taken away from the women who have truly been violated." Schroeder said she decided to record her now-deleted podcast episode after reading "about men who were fired within hours of one allegation." "This doesn't just affect the men, it trickles down to, not only their families, but also their colleagues. Movie and television shows that are now being canceled are putting artists and people out of work. What about the screenwriter of the show? Or the set director? Or the sound technicians? All because of one uninvestigated allegation," she said. "I was never trying to hurt anyone. I was trying to express my opinion and start a dialogue that I think may have come too soon," she added. "I've now realized just how big this issue is and it's something I can't even begin to tackle. When the dialogue becomes acceptable, I hope to be a part of it." The reality TV star had also apologized Saturday, when she posted a screenshot from her iPhone Notes app on Twitter that read: "My podcast is an outlet for me to share my unfiltered opinion with my listeners; but on my latest episode I crossed a line. It was irresponsible for me to make generalized statements about a very serious topic, such as sexual harassment, as it is not my place to speak out anyone else's experiences." "I apologize and will continue to speak my mind on my podcast, but will put more thought behind my dialogue moving forward," she continued, adding in a separate tweet that "these 24 hours have been sobering." Jeremy Meeks is playing hardball with his estranged wife, arguing she's not entitled to a penny of spousal support. Jeremy filed legal docs in his divorce case with Melissa Meeks, in which he says she's currently earning exactly what she made during the marriage when she was the breadwinner. BTW, she was the breadwinner because he spent time in prison for firearms violations and grand theft. He is willing to pay child support but scoffs at Melissa's claim he's raking in $1 mil a month. He says his income is more like $6k a month. He says he's willing to pay what the child support schedule dictates ... in his case up to $418 a month for his only child. And he takes several shots at Melissa, saying he sets a good example for his son, while she gives interviews to the media and engages in "televised reconstructive surgeries" of her nose, bust and vagina. And finally, he says she needs to back off grousing that he's dating billionaire heiress Chloe Green. He says who he dates is not her business. (TMZ)

The hardest hit in the first quarter of Sunday's Broncos-Raiders game came during a brawl that started after Aqib Talib tore off Michael Crabtree's gold chain -- AGAIN!!! -- at the end of a play. Talib and Crabtree went at it after the pull and several other players soon joined in on the scuffle. Both players were given unnecessary roughness penalties, before being ultimately ejected from the game. The Raiders' Gabe Jackson was also ejected for pushing an official. The Broncos cornerback and Raiders wide receiver have beef ... Talib pulled off Crabtree's chain last season when the teams played in January. After the game, Crabtree responded by saying, "Snatching chains on the field, like what you accomplish? You hard? You tough? That make you tough?" Looks like Crabtree got his answer. (TMZ)

Bjork Discusses Scrapped Wu-Tang Collaboration. Björk's new album, Utopia, is out now. In a new interview with FACT, she talked about some rumored recording sessions that happened with the Wu-Tang Clanback around the time Homogenic was released 20 years ago. "We wrote a couple of songs together. And I just felt... sometimes when you do things and you don't plan them it's magic. And I really think what we made was magic," she said. "But I think because it wasn't part of the whole Homogenic thing and it wasn't part of what Wu-Tang were doing at the time, it was better as an idea, if that makes any sense?" Here's the relevant portion from the interview: I wanted these kinda Icelandic, volcanic beats, and I was kind of struggling with it. I had done beats on my albums, but it takes me a long time to make them. And sometimes I get impatient and I want other people to do it, so I sit there and describe to them what I want them to do. So, I was in Spain, and Wu-Tang Clan were supposed to come to Spain. RZA was supposed to come. But then months passed. Then the album got finished and I delivered it. Then RZA was like, "I'm ready! Shall I come to Spain?" Instead, I went to New York. We wrote a couple of songs together. And I just felt... sometimes when you do things and you don't plan them it's magic. And I really think what we made was magic. But I think because it wasn't part of the whole Homogenic thing and it wasn't part of what Wu-Tang were doing at the time, it was better as an idea, if that makes any sense? We met a few times though-my favourite moment was when I did an in-store at Tower Records. I'd never done anything like that before. I turned up-and seven of the Wu-Tang Clan turned up to, like, protect me! I was signing books for an hour, and they sent some of their team, standing there with me. That was one of my all-time favourite moments: I had been on my own, so when they turned up I felt very protected. It was magic. In my eyes, they're punk. We are definitely [similar]-we do things in, like, a ritual way. The good thing was that I got to hang out with them. I got to see Wu-Tang's version of New York. Which was pretty cool. A very specific angle on that city that I feel very blessed to have experienced. Björk also mentions that she was supposed to work with Jay-Z at some point -- for "a section for a song" -- but that it "just didn't happen in the end." You can read the full interview here. Morrissey Doubles Down on His Statements About Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey. Last week, a Spiegel Online interview revealed Morrissey to have some not-so-progressive views on the Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein scandal. Since becoming the subject of a bit of controversy himself, the songwriter has now doubled down on his views, which always seemed at least partially (hopefully) lost in the translation from German anyway. In a new English-language interview with The Sunday Times, Morrissey has clarified his thoughts on the matter, stating: "You must be careful as far as 'sexual harassment' is concerned, because often it can be just a pathetic attempt at courtship," he shared. "I'm sure it's horrific, but we have to keep everything in proportion. Do you not agree? I have never been sexually harassed, I might add." While it's still a little unclear just what he defines as sexual assault, the songwriter continues with discussion of his politics alongside his oddly specific culinary preferences. "I'm nonpolitical, I always have been." he says. "I've never voted in my life." He goes on about his hatred for garlic, mushrooms, and onions as well as the fact that he's never tasted curry or coffee in his life. "I've never had a curry and I've never had a coffee," he says. "I've never wanted one and I've never been handed one." Morrissey's latest album Low in High School was released earlier this month. Read the full interview here. (Billboard)

James Cameron Wants People to Get Over Jack's Death in Titanic. It looks like fans will never let go of this Titanic scene. During an interview with Vanity Fair, director James Cameron addressed a question that's been bugging enthusiasts for decades: Why didn't Rose make room for Jack on that door? "And the answer is very simple because it says on page 147 [of the script] that Jack dies," Cameron said. "Very simple. . . . Obviously it was an artistic choice, the thing was just big enough to hold her, and not big enough to hold him." Cameron said he thinks it's "all kind of silly" that fans are still discussing the physics behind the scene 20 years later. Still, fans haven't let it go. Mythbusters even dedicated an episode to proving that both Leonardo DiCaprio's and Kate Winslet's characters could have fit on the door and survived. "But it does show that the film was effective in making Jack so endearing to the audience that it hurts them to see him die," Cameron continued. "Had he lived, the ending of the film would have been meaningless. . . . The film is about death and separation; he had to die. So whether it was that, or whether a smoke stack fell on him, he was going down. It's called art, things happen for artistic reasons, not for physics reasons." Cameron even tested the physics himself and stands by his conviction. "I was in the water with the piece of wood putting people on it for about two days getting it exactly buoyant enough so that it would support one person with full free-board, meaning that she wasn't immersed at all in the 28 degree water so that she could survive the three hours it took until the rescue ship got there," he told the magazine. "[Jack] didn't know that she was gonna get picked up by a lifeboat an hour later; he was dead anyway. And we very, very finely tuned it to be exactly what you see in the movie because I believed at the time, and still do, that that's what it would have taken for one person to survive." This year marks the 20th anniversary of Titanic. (Eonline)

"Gotti" -- the John Travolta movie that had four titles, four directors, and a staggering 37 producers -- has hit another snag, or two. The long-delayed drama about the Dapper Don, John Gotti, most recently slated for a December release, has now been pushed to next year. Meanwhile, Shirley Jones, the widow of Marty Ingels, is demanding payment of the $35,000 her husband was promised for finally getting the troubled movie on track. Ingels' longtime publicist Ed Lozzi told me it was Ingels who set up the 2011 meeting between Travolta and John Gotti Jr., and made sure the paparazzi were outside Amici in Beverly Hills as the duo exited. "Marty was a guy who doesn't take 'no' for an answer," Lozzi said. "He got Travolta to fly in from Florida. He joked, 'You may never see me again. I have a meeting with the Gottis.'" Travolta stayed on as Gotti, but by the time the much-delayed filming began in 2016, purported cast members Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and Lindsay Lohan had dropped out. Kevin Connolly, of "Entourage" fame, ended up as the director, following the departures of Nick Cassavetes, Joe Johnston and Barry Levinson. Ingels, who died of a stroke two years ago, was supposed to be paid $35,000 before filming began. Lozzi, on behalf of Ingels' estate and his widow, recently sent lead producer Marc Fiore an invoice demanding immediate payment. "I have a file an inch thick on all the work that Marty did," Lozzi said. Fiore wasn't inclined to talk and angrily told me, "Don't ever call me again." (Page Six)

Germany's Beta Film to Acquire Majority Stake in Austria's MR Film. Management at the Vienna-based shingle, which produces series ranging from the modern-day comedy 'Vorstadtweiber' to period drama 'Das Sacher,' will remain in place. Germany's Beta Film, whose credits include Italian gangster series Gomorrah and German 1920s crime drama Babylon Berlin, has signed a deal to acquired a majority stake in Austrian group MR Film. The deal, unveiled Monday, sees Beta acquire 51 percent in Vienna-based MR Film. A price tag wasn't disclosed. Any agreement still has to be approved by local regulatory authorities. Management at the company will remain unchanged, with Andreas Kamm and Oliver Auspitz staying on as managing directors. MR Film is already one of Austria's leading production outfits, with a catalog of more than 600 film and TV titles, including such popular series as Vorstadtweiber, an Austrian take on suburban dramedies a la Desperate Housewives; and period miniseries such as Das Sacher, a Downton Abbey-like drama centered on the luxury Sacher hotel in Vienna; and Maximilian, a 15th century drama based on the life of Austrian emperor Maximilian I. Beta has successfully handled international sales on several MR Film productions. The capital investment from Beta is designed to allow MR Film to become more ambitious and produce for the international market. For Beta, the acquisition marks a further expansion into production. The group, one of the Europe's largest sales and licensing companies, earlier this year took a strategic stake in X Filme, producer of Babylon Berlin. (Hollywood Reporter)

The Walking Dead's [Spoiler] Set to Crossover to Fear the Walking Dead. So long, mothership. Hello, spinoff! The Walking Dead will be sending one of its stars to its spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead, and on Sunday, it was revealed which character will be jumping shows. Lennie James, who plays Morgan and first appeared in the AMC zombie hit's pilot, announced the news via satellite on Talking Dead, admitting even he was "surprised" to be joining season four of the prequel series. "Yeah, it's me," he told Chris Hardwick. "I'm joining the cast of Fear the Walking Dead." Back in October, Robert Kirkman teased the major crossover at New York Comic-Con, telling the crowd, "There are two Walking Dead shows. One character is going to go from one show that I will not name and appear on another show I will not name." James just wrapped filming on TWD in Atlanta last week, and his first day on the Fear the Walking Dead set in Austin is today. No rest for the wicked, it seems! While James said "the hardest part" of the transition has been "leaving the cast, leaving the crew" of TWD, he added he's "really looking forward to exploring Morgan in a whole different world, with different characters, in a different place." But just because he's heading to FTWD, don't think you've seen the last of Morgan on TWD. Showrunner Scott M. Gimple also issued a statement on Talking Dead about the crossover, saying, "Even though Morgan is going to be featured on Fear, he has a lot of story left on The Walking Dead. Morgan's arch on The Walking Dead season 8 positioned him for the story on Fear. It was also important to see Fear's world and characters through new yet familiar eyes." (Eonline)

The restart of production on "House of Cards"-starring accused sex abuser Kevin Spacey-has been pushed back another two weeks. In a letter sent to cast and crew, producers said the Netflix series' filming hiatus would extend until at least Dec. 8, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Netflix already announced that the upcoming season would be the show's last-after about 15 reports from young men that Spacey had sexually assaulted or attempted to rape them. Spacey is expected to be written out of the final season. "These last two months have tested and tried all of us in ways none of us could have foreseen," says the letter signed by Media Rights Capital senior vice president of television business and legal affairs, Pauline Micelli. "The one thing we have learned throughout this process is that this production is bigger than just one person, and we could not be prouder to be associated with one of the most loyal and talented production cast and crews in this business." Micelli says another update will be provided by Dec. 8. (Page Six)

Hulu Takes Three European Series From StudioCanal. The streaming video service picks up U.S. SVOD rights to Scandinavian crime dramas 'Below the Surface' and 'Midnight Sun,' as well as U.K. drama 'Trust Me' in its first-ever licensing deal with the studio. Hulu has inked its first-ever TV deal with European production group StudioCanal, taking exclusive U.S. streaming rights to three of its European TV series. Under the agreement, unveiled Monday, Hulu will stream the Scandinavian crime thriller Below the Surface, French/Swedish drama Midnight Sun and U.K. series Trust Me on its U.S. service. Below the Surface, produced by StudioCanal's SAM Productions, is an eight-part drama centered on a hostage situation aboard a subway train beneath the Danish capital Copenhagen. The original idea for the series came from Borgen creator Adam Price and Soren Sveistrup (The Killing) and was written and created by Kasper Barfoed (Those Who Kill). Midnight Sun, produced by Atlantique Productions and Nice Drama for France's Canal+, Sweden's SVT and Filmpool Nord, is a high-concept thriller in which a glamorous Parisian cop is sent to an isolated mining community in northern Sweden as part of a murder investigation. Forced to team up with the gruff local investigators, they find the killings conceal a deeper conspiracy. Trust Me, from StudioCanal's RED Production Company for BBC One, stars Jodie Whittaker (Doctor Who) as a hard-working nurse forced to take drastic measures when she loses her job. The Scotland-set drama was written by Dan Sefton (Mr. Selfridge). Hulu is riding high on the success of The Handmaid's Tale, which garnered 10 Emmy wins for the streamer, including for best drama, and has helped lead to a spike in subscriptions.
