Wash up, often

Quit touching your face
It's more difficult than you think: The average person reaches up to their nose or mouth a few times every hour. But it's worth making an effort to break the habit. "Not touching your face greatly cuts your odds of getting sick," says Margarita Rohr, M.D., an internist at NYU Langone Health.
