Update: Interstate 40 ramp restrictions scheduled at A-1 Mountain Road and Bellemont, west of Flagstaff
Northern Arizona drivers accessing A-1 Mountain Road (milepost 191) and Bellemont (milepost 185) exit ramps on I-40 should plan for alternate routes during the following scheduled closures for guardrail and pavement work:
The Bellemont bridge will have intermittent closures with flaggers between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 and Wednesday, Nov. 8.
The eastbound A-1 Mountain Road ramp is closed between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. through Thursday, Nov. 9.
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to allow extra travel time as the nearest interchange between these closures is approximately 5 miles. Detour signs will be in place to direct drivers to the nearest traffic interchange to access I-40.
Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. For more information, please contact Mackenzie Kirby, community relations project manager at (928) 525-6494 or mkirby@azdot.gov. For real-time highway conditions statewide, visit ADOT’s Traveler Information Site at www.az511.gov, follow ADOT on Twitter (@ArizonaDOT) or call 511, except while driving.
