DWTS' Sharna Burgess and Bonner Bolton Fuel Romance Rumors With Flirty Bar Outing. Sharna Burgess and Bonner Bolton are taking their undeniable chemistry to another, more private dance floor. E! News obtained exclusive photos from the Dancing With the Stars pairing's flirty night out at Cowboy Palace Saloon in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening, which will certainly fan the flames about their possible romance. The professional bull rider was right in his element in the Country western bar, and didn't shy away from wrapping his arm around Sharna's shoulder and whispering into her ear. The Australian ballroom dancer, who looked fab in a navy blue swing dress and thigh-high boots, couldn't help but smile as she and Bonner practiced their moves. An onlooker told E! News of Sharna and Bonner's possible date night, "He seems especially doe-eyed -- and she certainly doesn't seem to mind the attention." Although it appears as if the dance partners were filming a segment for the ABC competition series, it's clear Burgess and Bolton were in a world of their own as the evening continued. After showing off their dance skills, the twosome headed to a nearby pool table for a friendly game. Bonner flipped the script on their Dancing With the Stars dynamic as he began coaching Sharna on a few tips and tricks, who quickly climbed atop the table for a better angle at taking a shot. "There is some real chemistry here," a source close to the duo shared. Their night out comes only days after Sharna shut down speculation that she was upset about a hand gesture Bonner made toward her during Monday's premiere. "Anyone who has the ridiculous idea that it was intentional...is straight up stupid. As in lacking [the] intelligence to realize it was innocent," she tweeted "@bonner_bolton's a true southern gentleman & was so embarrassed that it even happened let alone got caught on camera for gossips to gawk at." An eyewitness told E! News of their interactions during the taping, "They were hardcore flirting before their dance number. Watching them behind the scenes, you could see them checking each other out and Sharna was super giddy around him." But if anyone knows about their chemistry, it's Sharna and Bonner themselves. Burgess told E! News' Sibley Scoles shortly after performing the cha-cha, "I think everyone made such a big deal out of it tonight that both of us were a little bit speechless... I've never blushed on this show, ever in my life, and I legit blushed tonight because I didn't know what to say." "Obviously we have chemistry. We're not going to stand here and lie and say we don't, but everyone made such a big deal tonight that I didn't really know what to say to it," she added. Looks like we'll just have to wait until next week to see how this potential couple plans to earn a perfect 10 on the dance floor and in fans' hearts! Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays, 8 p.m. on ABC. (Eonline)

Marc Anthony Makes Red Carpet Debut With Girlfriend Mariana Downing. Marc Anthony is making things as official as you can in Hollywood, which is by debuting as a couple on the red carpet. The 48-year-old singer proudly posed with girlfriend Mariana Downing, and it was all for his Maestro Cares Foundation. Her look was finalized with gold earrings. The "Vivir Mi Vida" singer smiled for photos in a midnight blue suit and tie. The 2017 Maestro Cares Foundation's Changing Lives and Building Dreams Gala was held at Cipriani Wall Street on Tuesday, March 21, in New York City. The singer was honored at the event and also took the stage. Last month, E! News learned that Wilhelmina Miami represents the model and that she and Anthony have been dating for a few months. They've already done a bit of traveling together, and we learned they're in love. But given her busy modeling schedule and his tour, they don't see each other all the time. When Downing's schedule permits, however, she travels to be with the 48-year-old musician. Last year, Anthony ended his marriage to Venezuelan model Shannon de Lima. E! News learned in November that the two had called it quits. Anthony and de Lima confirmed the news in December, saying their decision to separate was mutual. "After much consideration, we have mutually and amicably decided to end our two-year marriage," the two said in a statement to E! News. "We ask for privacy during this difficult process, and no further comments will be made from either one of us about this personal matter." (Eonline)

Keith Urban setting the bar high for husbands everywhere. Distance and a busy schedule were no match for Keith Urban while Nicole Kidman was pregnant. "I flew to Sydney once when [Nicole] ... was having an ultrasound and I was on tour in the States," the country star recalled on Wednesday on Harry Connick Jr.'s talk show. "I just got on a plane and got down there." The Aussie couple, both 49, have been married since 2006 and have two children together: Sunday, 8 and Faith, 6. "I think the flight landed at 9 in the morning, we went and had the ultrasound, went and had lunch and then it was, like, a 2 p.m. departure back to the States," he said of his quick trip. "So lunch, ultra sound and home and back on the road again." Clearly, time has changed Urban's tune as initially he took four months to call Kidman. "I remember thinking I had such a crush on him, and he wasn't interested in me," the actress recently told Ellen DeGeneres. (PageSix)

Tom Cruise Has Feared Practicing His Scientology Beliefs "Openly." Tom Cruise may be Scientology's most famous face, but even he's admitted to being afraid of practicing his beliefs openly. The Jack Reacher star was a topic of discussion in Stephen Galloway's new book, Leading Lady, which focuses on former CEO of Paramount Pictures Sherry Lansing. The book recounts a time in which Cruise's Scientology beliefs got in the way of his professional career. In 2003, Lansing had to step between Cruise -- a crucial asset for Paramount -- and the studio's former president of production, John Goldwyn. At the time, the producer was in the middle of a divorce from his Scientologist wife, Colleen Camp, and fighting for custody of their daughter. PageSix spoke with Goldwyn who revealed he'd told the court that he believed Scientology was "being applied to alienate the affection" of his daughter. This, of course, resulted in Camp passing their divorce papers along to Scientology leaders, including Cruise. At that point, Goldwyn said Cruise intervened in the divorce process. "Tom got very upset because he thought I was launching a campaign against Scientology, and he felt I was persecuting him for his religion," Goldwyn told the publication. "Tom was rabid about it and said, 'It's because of people like you that I have to ride in a bulletproof car and why I cannot practice my faith openly.'" Cue Lansing. Considering the two men were important parts to the company, the Paramount CEO stepped in to smooth things out. "Sherry was amazing as an executive and a friend," Goldwyn recalled. "She stepped in and saved the situation by saying, 'I've known John for years, and he isn't a bigot. This is about his daughter.' Tom immediately calmed down." In fact, Cruise eventually helped finalize Goldwyn's divorce. Upon finding out the producer hadn't reached a settlement yet, the actor told him, "'Hold tight' [and] within 24 hours we were done. Tom Cruise was responsible for bringing my divorce to a close. It is a great Hollywood story." Leading Lady will be released April 25. (Eonline)

Kate Winslet Recalls Being Fat-Shamed as a Child and Puts Haters to Shame With Inspiring Speech. Someone book Kate Winslet for a TED Talk, because her words will make you cheer. The Oscar-winning actress and Titanic star continues to speak out against childhood bullying, using her own experience of being bullied in school to try to give hope to victims. Speaking in front of about 12,000 people, including kids, at the fourth annual WE Day UK event at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London Wednesday, Winslet recalled being fat-shamed and talked about pursuing her dream of acting despite being discouraged to do so. "I had been bullied at school," she said. "They called me Blubber. Teased me for wanting to act. Locked me in the cupboard. Laughed at me." "I was even told that I 'might be lucky with my acting, if I was happy to settle for the fat girl parts,'" she said. "I felt that I wasn't enough, I wasn't good enough. I didn't look right...and all because I didn't fit into someone else's idea of 'perfect.' I didn't have the perfect body." The actress, who had revealed her past "Blubber" nickname in interviews before, said she "had to choose to rise above it all." "I was always auditioning for the school plays," she said. "I didn't really get very good parts, mind you, but I didn't mind. I didn't care. I would often get cast as the crocodile, or the scarecrow, or the dark fairy, I was even a dancing frog once. But it didn't matter. I still loved it. I loved acting. It didn't matter how big or small the parts were. I wanted to be great and I was determined to keep learning." "And then one day, I was cast as Rose in Titanic," she said. "The most unlikely candidate, Kate from the sandwich shop in Reading, suddenly acting in one of the biggest movies ever made!" Winslet encouraged the audience to "get out there" and be true to themselves. "Get out there and go for it because your generation has the power to rock the world!" she said. "You can be from anywhere, and you can do anything," she told the crowd. "Believe it." (Eonline)

La la laughing! Ryan Gosling finally revealed why he got the giggles in one of many viral moments captured during the epic Oscars Best Picture mix-up while speaking at the Adobe Summit in Las Vegas on Wednesday, March 22. As many will remember, Gosling, 36, couldn't help but chuckle on stage when it was revealed that the Best Picture category actually went to Moonlight instead of his musical hit, La La Land. He and the rest of his cast and crew -- including Emma Stone -- awkwardly walked off to backstage following the historic blunder. "What really was happening as I was watching, it was surreal anyway, I was watching people start to have this panicked reaction in the crowd and guys were coming on with headsets and I felt like someone had been hurt," Gosling told Adobe CMO Ann Lewnes. "I thought there was some kind of medical situation, and I had this worst-case scenario playing out in my head. And then I just heard Moonlight won and I was so relieved that I started laughing." Presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway were accidentally given the wrong envelope during the live broadcast from Hollywood's Dolby Theatre. La La Land producer Jordan Horowitz cut their acceptance speeches short to reveal that the Barry Jenkins-directed drama was the real winner. "Truthfully, I was also so thrilled that Moonlight won," Gosling added on Wednesday. "It's such a groundbreaking film, made for a million dollars, and incredible achievement and I'm so happy for them that they were being recognized." (US weekly)

News can confirm that Tori Spelling's husband has settled a disagreement over unpaid spousal support with ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace outside of court. McDermott and Eustace, who were married for 13 years between up until 2006 and share 18-year-old son Jack McDermott together, reached a financial agreement after appearing in court on March 9. Eustace filed an affidavit on Jan. 25 claiming the reality television star hadn't paid eight installments of spousal support since July 1, 2016, amounting to $6,000 plus interest as well as attorney fees. She claimed McDermott owes her "moving forward from February 1, 2017 100,800 in monthlies until July 1, 2020." A source tells E! News that Mary Jo received a payment of $6,000 from Dean last Monday, and another $2,500 is due at the end of the month. Our insider explains that the payments will continue until the agreed upon amount is reached in full. "Mary Jo just wants what's fair," the source explains. At the time that McDermott initially came under fire, an insider shared that it was a lavish baby shower hosted by Candy Spelling for Tori's fifth child that sparked Eustace's concern over his inability to pay. "He owes money and then he's getting a $40,000 shower for his new baby while neglecting his responsibilities to his oldest child and ex-wife? That's what's upsetting her," a source close to the Canadian actress shared. Meanwhile, Dean and Tori's financial woes are far from over. As City National Bank filed a lawsuit against the couple claiming they owe $188,803 after failing to fulfill payments on a loan stemming from four years ago. McDermott's camp has not responded to E!'s request for comment. Us Weekly was first to report the news. (Eonline)

Cat Deeley's Waiter Opens Up About Her Twitter Rant: 'She's Using Her Power to Take Down My Family' The server who waited on Cat Deeley at TOMGEORGE restaurant in Los Angeles is opening up about her outburst on Twitter after her "awful experience." Deeley, 43, took to the social media platform after dining at the upscale downtown restaurant, saying her meal had to be delivered five different times and her guest's meal was inedible. Prior to explaining the situation further, the So You Think You Can Dance host blasted the restaurant with vague tweets, calling the manager a "moron" and the restaurant "the worst in L.A." Deeley's waiter J. Vasko-Bezenek saw the tweets and replied to Deeley with a photo of receipt, which shows she had left no tip for him. He wrote: "Cat, as your server at TomGeorge I am hurt by your response to free food. I gave you respect, and I served you with love." @catdeeley Cat, as your server at TomGeorge I am hurt by your response to free food. I gave you respect, and I served you with love.pic.twitter.com/Sil0RdOJh0 -- J. Vasko-Bezenek (@BEZt_tweetz) March 20, 2017 Vasko-Bezenek opened up to Inside Edition, saying: "This isn't fair. She's using her power to take down my family." The receipt shows that most of Deeley's meal was comped by the manager, but Deeley still wasn't happy, according to the server. "She grabbed the bill and she said, 'This is disgraceful. I shouldn't have to pay for any of this,'" he says. Deeley has yet to issue a public statement on the matter outside of Twitter, but a manager for the restaurant says they did the best they could do. "Different people have different tastes so they cannot be perfect for everyone," Zoltan Davis told PEOPLE. "But usually we get really good reviews for the food but I understand if someone doesn't like it. I was here and I didn't realize there was a big issue. We did the best with what we could do." HBO Producer Admits He Dragged Overdosed Mom-of-Three's Body Outside of Apartment After Night of Partying. An HBO producer has pleaded guilty in the case of a married Long Island doctor and mother-of-three who died in the doorway of a Manhattan apartment building last October after a night of partying and drug use, PEOPLE confirms. Marc Henry Johnson, 52, pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact, admitting he dragged the body of Kiersten Cerveny into the hallway of his friend's apartment building, a U.S. Department of Justice spokesperson tells PEOPLE. Johnson and Cerveny, 38, allegedly spent the night in various New York City bars drinking and snorting cocaine, the spokesperson says. "Marc Henry Johnson's immediate response to seeing a dying overdose victim should have been to summon help," U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim said in a Department of Justice statement obtained by PEOPLE. "Instead, Johnson helped his cocaine dealer cover up the drug crime by moving the victim's body." Johnson and James Holder both faced federal drug and conspiracy charges related to Cerveny's death after the dermatologist was found unresponsive in Holder's apartment building on the morning of Oct. 4, 2015. As part of a plea deal, Johnson will no longer face the remaining drug and conspiracy charges and could be sentenced to up to 24 months in prison -- instead of the maximum of 10 years that the accessory charge carries, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. Holder pleaded guilty in December 2016 to maintaining a drug-involved premises, according to the recent statement. He is expected to be sentenced in May and faces no other charges. According to a previous statement from the Department of Justice obtained by PEOPLE, Holder allegedly sold cocaine out of his Chelsea apartment for more than 10 years -- and allegedly sold cocaine to Johnson. The statement alleges Holder helped Johnson move Cerveny's body. Johnson, along with actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, produced the pilot episode for the impending HBO series The Deuce, a show about New York's porn industry during the 1970s starring James Franco. The statement alleges Cerveny went to Holder's apartment at around 4:30 a.m. and overdosed inside the home. Investigators said video surveillance footage showed Johnson and Holder dragging Cerveny's unconscious body into the building's first-floor vestibule. Police allege Holder left the building that morning carrying an unspecified object while Johnson called 911 for an ambulance. Johnson was not cooperative during the 911 call and would not give his name or describe his connection with Cerveny, the statement alleges. Both Holder and Johnson appeared in a preliminary court hearing in May 2016. At the time, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said, "Drugs destroy lives and communities. (People)

Kate Middleton Pays Tribute to London Terror Attack Victims: "We Will Be Thinking of All the Families." Kate Middleton expressed her sympathy Thursday for those affected by the recent terror attack in London, before speaking candidly about another issue close to her heart: Motherhood. A driver mowed down pedestrians on Westminster Bridge Wednesday, killing two people and injuring at least 40 more, including teenagers, before he burst through the gates of the British parliament building and fatally stabbed an unarmed policeman before officers shot him dead. It marked the deadliest attack in London since four Islamic suicide bombers killed 52 people on the city's transport system in 2005. "I know you would all want to join me in sending our thoughts and prayers to all those sadly affected by the terrible attack in Westminster," the Duchess of Cambridge said at the launch of a film series about parental mental health at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in London. "We will be thinking of all the families, as we discuss the important issues we're here to talk about." At the event, which took place days before the U.K.'s Mother's Day, Kate, a 35-year-old mother of two, then gave a speech about the challenges of motherhood. "Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience," Kate told the crowd. "However, at times it's also been a huge challenge. Even for me, who has support at home, but most mothers do not. Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer, overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother. It is full of complex emotions like joy, exhaustion, love and worry all mixed together." "Asking for help is not a sign of weakness," she added. During her visit, Kate also spoke to mothers who shared their experiences with postpartum depression and psychosis. Kate and husband Prince William are parents to son Prince George, 3, and daughter Princess Charlotte, 1. Last November, William opened up about parenthood in a rare, candid interview during a trip to Vietnam. "There's wonderful highs and there's wonderful lows," he said. "It's been quite a change for me, personally. I'm very lucky in the support I have from Catherine. She is an amazing mother and a fantastic wife." "But I've struggled at times, the alteration from being a single, independent man to going into marriage and then having children is life-changing," he added. "I adore my children very much and I've learned a lot about myself and about a family, just from having my own children and it's amazing how much you pick up from just in those moments." The new film series, Out of the Blue, aims to raise awareness of maternal mental health challenges and the well-being of families. It was created by Best Beginnings, a charity partner of the Heads Together Campaign, which Kate, William and his brother Prince Harry have spearheaded to try to end stigma around mental health. Kate attended the film series launch event wearing an Eponine London red and white tweed cropped jacket and matching fit and flare skirt, an outfit she was previously photographed in last year, paired with nude pumps and a gold L.K Bennett clutch, (Eonline)

Sports Illustrated Star Hunter McGrady on the Importance of Being the Magazine's Curviest Model Ever. Sports Illustrated is making history. And this time around, they're on the right side of it. This year's Swimsuit edition included the usual Rookies of the Year spread, but this time around there was one huge upgrade: The feature stars Hunter McGrady, who besides being gorgeous, just so happens to be the magazine's curviest model ever. Sports Illustrated has been making marked moves to expand beyond the greatly outdated beauty norms that have been prevalent in the modeling industry, and this is yet another sign of positive change. For her part, McGrady tells E! News that she has been extremely proud to be a part of the historic issue -- and that reception has been stellar. "I keep saying that the response I've gotten means more than just being in the magazine and more than what it means for my career," she said. "It's been so overwhelmingly positive. The comments I've gotten from women -- and men for that matter -- have been absolutely incredible." For the photo shoot, McGrady was given the honor of wearing one of SI's coveted painted swimsuits, and preparing was a process that can only be described as rigorous. It took a team of several different women painting for over 12 hours, starting at 2:00 a.m. -- Hunter spent six hours laying on her back and then six hours standing up. "I was in and out of sleep for part of it," she admits. "But I was running on adrenaline so it kind of didn't feel like I did anything. I woke up and had a full gorgeous swimsuit painted on. Can I wake up like that every day?" Like most models, being in Sports Illustrated has been one of McGrady's top goals since day one. But now that she achieved it, she has her sights set on helping to change the industry even more. "I think being in this issue is important, and [body image] is a conversation that needs to happen," she explained to E! "It's definitely going to continue happening and I'm really excited to be a part of it, and be on the rise with it." Part of that work is going to involve changing the perception of what it means to be curvy and, more importantly, what the industry thinks curvy women can wear. McGrady recently attended the iHeartRadio Music Awards in what can only be described as a show-stopping ensemble (a black bodice paired with a skirt and jacket), which she hopes helped make a big statement. "It's so funny because I always choose something that people wouldn't necessarily see a curvy girl in," she told E! News. "Somewhere along the line someone has said, curvy girls can't wear this, they can't wear stripes. And I'm like um, I don't think so." McGrady continued that she is always looking to prove the point that she can rock any outfit she chooses, regardless of her size: "There should be no rules, you can wear whatever you want, so that's what I want to get across at every red carpet." Hunter McGrady is certainly a role model to women and girls everywhere, but it turns out she herself has a certain someone that she idolizes for her fitness goals: The one and only Beyonce. "She is spot on," exclaims McGrady. "She's thick, but she looks bomb all the time. Even pregnant, she is my fitness role model. How do you do it, B? I wanna know!" Same, Hunter. Same. (Eonline)

Twinsies! On Wednesday, Christina El Moussa and her 6-year-old daughter Taylor had a mother-daughter photoshoot date for L Space Swim. The smiling pair posed for a series of pictures while wearing matching lavender bikinis. In a handful of videos shared on the swimwear's Instagram story, both Christina and Taylor are having a ball playing with a hula-hoop, eating donuts poolside, and snuggling with their new French bulldog puppy named Cashie. One thing is for sure, Christina has not been slacking on her workouts. In the pictures, the 33-year-old mother of two is happily flaunting her very taut figure in the bikini. Christina, who quietly separated from her husband Tarek last May, recently told PEOPLE that it wasn't easy to explain the couple's split to their daughter. "At first, we just tried to be really vague," Christina, who also has son Brayden with Tarek, admitted. "We're always remodeling our house or the yard, so when I moved out with the kids temporarily, we didn't really get into it, and she didn't ask." "Taylor asked if we could get back together," she added. "We had to explain that sometimes couples get divorced but that she and Brayden are our No. 1 priority. We'll always be a family." (People)

'Dream Is So Silly': Blac Chyna Can't Get Enough of Her Drooling Daughter in New Videos. First comes drooling, then comes teething! Blac Chyna shared three new videos of her 18-week-old daughter Dream Kardashian on Snapchat Wednesday. The reality star's adorable baby girl was too cute for words in her polka dot onesie and drool covered pink bib. "Dream is so silly," the mother of two captioned one of her clips. Chyna, 28, and ex-fiance Rob Kardashian welcomed Dream in November, months before the pair split in February after a year of volatile ups and downs. Last week, a source told PEOPLE that Chyna and Kardashian have been co-parenting their daughter -- and while she is "giving pushback," he wants dual custody of their child. "They are still figuring things out but [Chyna] will certainly do whatever it takes to have Dream be with her for the majority of the time," said the insider. The former couple most recently reunited to celebrate Rob's 30th birthday on St. Patrick's Day. "Blac Chyna was there, because they filmed [Keeping Up with the Kardashians]," a separate source shared with PEOPLE. "She brought black and gold balloons and a gift. It was civil despite all the custody drama." (People)

Twitter freaks after Kristi Yamaguchi tells Nancy Kerrigan to 'break a leg'. Insert skate in mouth. Former Olympian and "Dancing with the Stars" champion Kristi Yamaguchi tweeted well wishes to Nancy Kerrigan -- a fellow ice skater who is now strutting her stuff in the dancing competition -- but received backlash for her word choice. "Can't wait to see you grace that ballroom floor, break a leg!" Yamaguchi, 45, recently tweeted to Kerrigan. Her good intentions got low scores with the Twitterverse, as her post was immediately associated with the infamous 1993 incident when Kerrigan's skating rival Tonya Harding schemed with her then-husband to club Kerrigan in the back of the knee. "That may or may not have been a good choice of words," tweeted one user. Another suggested she delete the post entirely: "Whyyy, whyyy, whyyy hasn't this tweet been deleted... are you that naive?" But Kerrigan, 47, took the message graciously by responding, "Thank you so much Kristi! I'm excited to get this started!" Kerrigan thanked the 2008 "DWTS" champ for "the advice" in a follow-up tweet. "It is definitely helping!" Kerrigan wrote. (PageSix)

Michael Strahan confirmed what we've all suspected: Pummeling Tom Brady is a lot of fun. At WWD's Men's Wear Summit, the former defensive end was asked what he missed about football. "You've never lived [until] you hit Tom Brady," he replied. Strahan also took a shot at the Patriots QB -- whose stolen Super Bowl jersey was just recovered -- saying that he "had stuff stolen over the years, but I got hip to it." He added, "Unfortunately, Tom wasn't as hip as I was." (Page Six)

Ryan Lochte has moved to Hollywood -- where people get paid millions to make up stories. The swimmer, who was embroiled in an Olympic scandal last summer when he fabricated a Rio de Janeiro robbery, was at Tao Hollywood telling guests he just relocated to LA three weeks ago. "He was hanging out with guy friends," said a spy. "A lot of people seemed to notice him and comment on how cute he is .?.?. but very few people approached him." He's also been seen around town with pregnant fiancee Kayla Rae Reid. (Page Six)

Hair extensions met politics on Tuesday's episode of "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" when "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Erika Girardi was joined by Fox News host Meghan McCain. McCain praised Cohen for his knowledgeable and relatable take on politics and current news events. "You have a fascinating take because you're sort of the reality connoisseur of modern times," McCain said. "Someone needs to do a special on why Americans relate to reality stars in a way that they don't to politicians anymore." McCain also added that she'll never run for president because her brand of conservatism "ideologically out of sync" with what Americans respond to. "I actually don't think it's a place for women like me," McCain told. "And it's a really sad sort of statement. I think you have to play in a man's world. I like wearing a lot of hair extensions, I have a lot of conflicting feelings about things in my personal life, meaning like my reflections on me personally with marriage and traditional families." Cohen then took audience phone calls and one viewer asked: "Are Erika Jayne and Meghan wearing panties tonight?" Erika said she's sick of answering the question, but "Real Housewives" fan Meghan quickly jumped to Erika's defense over the Pantygate debacle with co-star Dorit Kemsley. "One thing I found on the show that was very degrading-I don't like when women attack other women for their choices when it comes to clothes or fashion or just being who you are, and I thought the whole thing really was setting women back in a lot of ways," Meghan said. "Dorit reminds me of every girl I went to college with that studied abroad and came back with an accent and thought she was more cultured than I am." Erika confessed that she overreacted to Eileen Davidson's comments about her police officer son at the ladies' Hong Kong dinner party, which aired on Tuesday's episode of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," noting "her intent was innocent." A caller than asked for McCain's thoughts on Tomi Lahren's suspension from TheBlaze. "You have to be clear in your ideology if you're gonna go on TV and talk about politics. I've been doing this for 10 years, and it's a very tough game, tough industry. You really have to know your talking points," McCain said. "I read for hours every morning before I go on air, and if I were giving her advice, I'd be like, 'You need to study a little bit more or just be more ideologically consistent.'" McCain then dishes out some unsolicited advice to Erika's "RHOBH" cast mates Kemsley and Lisa Rinna. "[These women] need to come up with something better if they're gonna lie that egregiously and just say 'I forgot.' They've gotta do better than that." (Too Fab)

'Real Housewives of Atlanta' stars Peter Thomas and Matt Jordan threw everything that wasn't nailed down during a radio interview that looked more like UFC 210. They dislike each other intensely, so it seems the interview was destined for disaster, and they did not disappoint. Matt threw a water bottle at Peter, then charged him. We're told they locked up and Peter scored a takedown, because station staff broke it up. It was so bad, cops were called and took an assault report from Peter against Matt. Here's the bad news. The interview was not live and it looks like the station isn't going to air it. (TMZ)

Us Weekly staffers were appalled by a farewell e-mail sent by Gus Wenner after his dad, company founder Jann Wenner, sold the mag to American Media. Multiple insiders at Us Weekly told us the tone-deaf company-wide missive hurt the feelings of an already suffering staff -- who are all in the dark about what will happen to their jobs once the venerable tabloid changes hands -- by framing the sale as a boost for Wenner Media. As well as praising the departing workers and success of Us, Gus wrote, "I could not be more excited for the journey ahead and I look forward to working with the incredible people that will bring it to life." The heir, who's the company's head of digital, wrote, "Over the course of the next several months, we will be implementing a plan to double down on the growth of our remaining brands -- Rolling Stone, Men's Journal and Glixel." "It was terrible," said a staffer, "And nothing from Jann, who is probably embarrassed." Added our source, "To focus on Glixel?! .?.?. I had no idea what it was until I read that e-mail." Yuengling's brewery is using Harry Potter's famed butterbeer for its ice cream ... but it took a legal shortcut that could backfire in a huge way. Yuengling's rolled out its new "butterbeer" flavor this week ... even though it never secured the legal right to market ice cream. Yuengling's prez, David Yuengling, tells TMZ his company filed docs to trademark butterbeer ice cream 8 months ago, and he's hopeful he'll win approval. Here's the problem ... J.K. Rowling created the fictional drink in her Harry Potter books, and Warner Bros. secured all the rights and produced the movies. So it's pretty clear ... Warner Bros. will be extremely territorial over one of it's most valuable franchises. So far Yuengling's application for the right to use the name hasn't been decided ... but if it's rejected the company has a big problem on its hands, and Warner Bros. could go after it for all the loot its made selling the frozen delight. We've reached out to Warner Bros. for comment ... so far, no word back. (TMZ)

John Mayer Admits His New Song Is About Katy Perry: "Who Else Would I Be Thinking About?" John Mayer misses Katy Perry. In a New York Times interview posted Thursday, the singer-songwriter revealed that his new single, "Still Feel Like Your Man," is about her. The two dated on and off for about a year and a half until early 2014. "Who else would I be thinking about?" he said. "And by the way, it's a testament to the fact that I have not dated a lot of people in the last five, six years. That was my only relationship. So it's like, give me this, people." Lyrics include "I still keep your shampoo in my shower / In case you wanna wash your hair / And I know that you probably found yourself some more somewhere / But I do not really care" and "Still like the letters in your name and how they feel, babe / Still think I'm never gonna find another you / Still like to leave the party early and go home, babe / And don't you know, babe / I'd rather sit here on my own and be alone, babe." The song is a track from Mayer's new album The Search for Everything, which contains other breakup songs. "There were times when tears came out of me, and I went, OK, John, this is not about an on-again, off-again relationship. This is something more profound," he told The New York Times. He told the outlet that since his and Perry's split, he has hardly dated, although he has used a dating app, adding, "It's just lot of chatter...we all talk to the same people. There are very few people actually meeting up." He also talked about wanting to settle down with someone and start a family. "I wish there was somebody to throw me the 40th," he said. "I want the baby with the protective earphones" [by the side of the stage]." Mayer's comments were posted nearly a month after it was announced Perry and Orlando Bloom had broken up after dating for almost a year. Last July, the two bumped into Mayer while on a date. The singer himself is believed to be the subject of the song "Dear John" by another one of his exes, singer Taylor Swift , who is known for releasing songs about heartbreak. The two reportedly dated for several months, starting in 2009, when she was 19. She has never confirmed the song's subject manner officially. In 2012, Mayer told Rolling Stone he felt "really humiliated" by her song, which he believes is about him and contains lyrics such as "Don't you think 19 is too young to be played by your dark twisted games?" "How presumptuous! I never disclose who my songs are about," Swift told Glamour magazine in response to Mayer's comments. (Eonline)

Where in the World Is Taylor Swift? Has anyone seen Taylor Swift ? The leader of the girl squad truly has been M.I.A. for a while, and it's time we figure out where she is -- or, at the very least, what happened. Aside from birthday tributes to her closest friends, professional photos from her Super Saturday performance over Super Bowl Weekend and stills from her "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" music video with Zayn Malik, T.Swift hasn't posted a candid photo since Thanksgiving 2016. For someone who seemingly posted candids of her friends fairly regularly, that's a dramatic decrease. In fact, Swift in general has greatly decreased her presence. Obviously, there could be many theories in play, the most popular being that she is holed up somewhere writing, producing and recording a new album as a follow up to her mega-hit album 1989. The last time paparazzi caught a glimpse of the "Style" songstress was on Jan. 11, 2017 as she made her way into her favorite workout spot, Body by Simone. Since then, nada. Obviously, she performed in Houston, where she remarked that it would be her only concert this year, but otherwise where has she been living her life? Swift's home has been in New York City for a few years now, but no one has seen her out and about in months. A Swiftie claims he saw the country-turned-pop star dancing in her car in Nashville while waiting at a red light, and only a few days after that did she receive a visit from her BFF Ed Sheeran, but that was in NYC. Sheeran stopped by her apartment in Manhattan earlier this month, but unfortunately for fans, the duo didn't leave together. Sheeran walked in solo and exited the same way, with no Swift in sight. The "Stay" singer's brother, Austin Swift, however, has been working the public circuit for a little while now, thanks to his small role in Live by Night. Austin walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere in January, but his older sister skipped the festivities. Fast forward to March, and the Notre Dame graduate was spotted making his way into yoga in New York City. While Swifties are obviously hoping for a new album -- Sheeran even hinted she could release around Christmas -- there could also be another, scarier theory. At the beginning of March police arrested a man named Mohammed Jaffar for burglary, stalking and trespassing Swift's apartment. The individual was held on $20,000 bail. The judge signed off on an order of protection against Mohammed. According to Page Six, it ordered no contact with the pop star. A criminal complaint said Jaffar showed up to the Grammy winner's apartment at least four times over the past two months. We hope that's certainly not the reason why she's been living a more private life, but if it is, we don't blame her for wanting to be careful. Then again, after going on a world tour for about a year, we can't blame her for wanting to take a break, either. That being said, fans are clinging to these words right from Sheeran's mouth: "Taylor isn't going to be releasing until probably the end of this year -- Christmas is the smartest time to release because that's when everyone buys records, so I've got a full year of just all Ed, all the time," he told BBC News. Let the countdown to Christmas begin. (Eonline)

Billy Idol set a new standard for debauchery when singer-guitarist Adam Bomb met him in 1985 in a suite at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif. In his new book, "911 Is Disconnected: So This Is Rock and Roll," out April 10 from New Haven Publishing, Bomb recalls, "[Idol] was butt naked except for a pair of cowboy boots." Bomb, who's performed with the late Chuck Berry and Mick Taylor, said Idol, a huge star following the release of his second album, "Rebel Yell," was partying with his manager Bill Aucoin, who had discovered Kiss, and a half-dozen boys "most likely picked up on Santa Monica Boulevard," all wearing black leather underwear. "Aucoin had a silver briefcase full of nitrous oxide cartridges. He filled up balloons and gave them to the party boys," the book says. "They were passing around a plate with cocaine." Bomb made his exit after Aucoin told him, "You need to have sex with somebody if you want to stick around." Bomb replied, "I'm not gay." Idol ended up singing at Bomb's 1987 wedding to Claire O'Connor, a publicist for Chelsea's infamous Limelight club who died of cancer in 2011. Bomb also tells how he met Jeff Isbell and Bill Bailey as squatters in Hollywood before they became Izzy Stradlin and Axl Rose of Guns N' Roses. The memoir is filled with weird celebrity encounters, such as one time when Bomb was walking home from Hollywood Boulevard. "I saw this guy get out of a black BMW. He picked up a cat that was nearly dead off the street and he asked me, 'Is this your cat?' I said, 'Aren't you Michael McDonald?' The singer for the Doobie Brothers had just run over and killed somebody's black cat." (Page Six)

Ed Sheeran finally credits TLC songwriters for Shape of You. Credit where credit's due, huh. Ed Sheeran has added the songwriters behind TLC's 1999 hit 'No Scrubs' to the 'Shape of You' credit list. The move has been made after fans said Sheeran's hit had potentially stolen lines from the TLC song. On the website for performance rights organization ASCAP, the brains behind the R&B trio's most famous song, Kandi Burruss, Tameka Cottle and Kevin Briggs, have been added as co-writers of 'Shape of You', alongside Sheeran, Steve Mac and John McDaid. Fans on Twitter drew comparisons between Shape of You lyrics - "Girl, you know I want your love your love was handmade for somebody like me" - and the TLC track. One wrote: "Listen to the verses of Ed Sheeran- Shape of you and tell me it doesn't sound like TLC-No Scrubs." Another added: "To the tune of "Shape of You" Girl, I don't want no scrubs/ A scrub is a guy that can't / get no love from me." Kandi Burruss posted on her Instagram thanking Sheeran for recognizing her. She wrote: "Thank you for allowing @majorgirl & I to share in the success of #ShapeOfYou! #1 for 7 weeks!" Disney's Beauty and the Beast Live-Action Film Outearns Original Movie in 5 Days. It looks like this tale as old as time is standing the test of time... In less than one week -- five days to be exact -- the live-action remake of Disney's Beauty and the Beast surpassed the box office sales of the original 1991 film. The current domestic total for the Emma Watson and Dan Stevens flick is standing at an impressive $219 million which means it's a record breaker for yet another reason. The 2017 movie is only the fifth film in history to earn over $200 million domestically in the course of five days. Globally, the mega-successful film is getting close to breaking the $500 million mark and is expected to pass that milestone by the end of this coming weekend. After you calculate the original theatrical release of the animated classic, along with its two subsequent releases in IMAX and 3D in 2002 and 2012, respectively, the hit film garnered an impressive $425 million total. And while that's nothing to scoff at, those numbers are for three releases and global box offices sales. This latest success comes on the heels of Disney's other live-action film, Cinderella, also hitting big with audiences. The 2015 feature passed $500 million in global sales and was produced for around $95 million. Meanwhile, the 2016 live-action version of Jungle Book crossed the $900 million mark in total and plans of a sequel for the film is already buzzing around the studio. Not too shabby! (Eonline)

The full trailer for Red Nose Day Actually has been released. Ok, *now* we're excited... Ah, the Love Actually reunion joy continues. The full trailer has been released for the upcoming Red Nose Day Love Actually sequel, which shows Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Liam Neeson and Rowan Atkinson (among others) reprise their roles to recreate the infamous flashcard scene. And it's giving us ALL the feels. Earlier this month, new pictures emerged of Keira Knightley filming in London with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Andrew Lincoln. The actress, who played Juliet in the 2003 hit, was seen with her onscreen husband, Peter, and his best friend, Mark, during filming. We're all VERY excited by the photos, but of course we have so many questions... Is Juliet still with Peter? Does Mark still love Juliet? Has he been trying to win her over this whole time?! Last month we also caught glimpses of Hugh Grant with Martine McCutcheon filming in London. The pair played on-screen couple David and Natalie and we're pretty thrilled they're still together after all of these years. Keira Knightley, Colin Firth, Bill Nighy, Andrew Lincoln and Rowan Atkinson are amongst the original Love Actually cast also confirmed for the Comic Relief film Red Nose Day Actually. It will be shown as part of Red Nose Day 2017, on Friday 24 March on BBC One. Rowan Atkinson has reprised his role as pushy sales assistant, where he was snapped standing behind a shop till wrapping gifts as he recreated his famous scene in the Christmas movie. In other news, Love Actually director Richard Curtis revealed that the film's Comic Relief reunion special would not pay tribute to Alan Rickman. Talking to the Press Association about Rickman, Curtis said: "You know dealing with Alan is very complicated - we're not doing everyone. We're doing about two thirds of people." Rickman very sadly passed away from cancer aged 69 in January 2016. The director also revealed that Emma Thompson won't be making an appearance (sob). "She just can't do it," he said. The good news is, Liam Neeson and Thomas Brodie-Sangster - who play father and son Daniel and Sam in the 2003 classic - are confirmed. ALL. THE. FEELS. In other photos, Sam can be seen with his school crush, Joanna (played by Olivia Olsen), as the pair chat beside a lake, all grown up. WTAF. Does this mean they're a thing? Did She come back from America?! This is all too much to handle. From an original script by Curtis, the short film revisits the characters of Love Actually (2003) to discover what they're up to in 2017. We hope they answer these questions... Richard Curtis said, "Over the years I've enjoyed doing Red Nose Day specials of TV things I've worked on-"Blackadder," "The Vicar of Dibley" and "Mr. Bean." It seemed like a fun idea this year to do a special sketch based one of my films, since Red Nose Day is now in both the UK and America. I would never have dreamt of writing a sequel to Love Actually, but I thought it might be fun to do 10 minutes to see what everyone is now up to. Who has aged best? - I guess that's the big question... or is it so obviously Liam? We've been delighted and grateful that so many of the cast are around and able to take part - and it'll certainly be a nostalgic moment getting back together and recreating their characters 14 years later. We hope to make something that'll be fun - very much in the spirit of the original film and of Red Nose Day - and which we hope will help bring lots of viewers and cash to the Red Nose Day shows." Becky G doesn't understand all the fuss about playing a gay Power Ranger, but she has a problem with playing the first gay one in 2017. Becky plays Yellow Ranger Trini who deals with "girlfriend problems" in the new flick. She was at the Hollywood star ceremony for the show's creator, Haim Saban, Wednesday where she told us her issues with her character had more to do with the timing. (TMZ)

'Silence' Cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto to Make Directing Debut. 'La La Land's' Jordan Horowitz is producing the revenge thriller, while Martin Scorsese and Emma Tillinger Koskoff are executive producing. Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto's (Silence) will make his directorial debut with the revenge thriller Bastard. The film marks the latest project from Topic, the newly branded studio of First Look Media, which is onboard to finance. La La Land's Jordan Horowitz is producing Bastard through his Original Headquarters shingle, while Martin Scorsese and Emma Tillinger Koskoff are executive producing via their Sikelia Prods. banner. Bill Gullo penned the original screenplay, which is set against a looming flood that will ravage the small town of Bird's Point, Mo. "It's an honor to get to make this picture alongside my terrific partners at Topic and First Look Media," Horowitz said. "Rodrigo's work as a cinematographer has consistently floored me, and putting him behind the camera to direct Bill's absorbing script has all the ingredients for truly thrilling cinema." Prieto, who hails from Mexico City, started his career shooting TV commercials in his early 20s before moving into features. His collaboration with Alejandro González Inárritu on the 2000 drama Amores Perros put him on Hollywood's radar. The two subsequently teamed on 21 Grams and Babel. Adam Pincus and Annie Marter will oversee for Topic. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2018. Over the past few years, Prieto has teamed frequently with Scorsese. The two worked together on The Wolf of Wall Street and HBO's Vinyl (Prieto received a best cinematography nomination for Silence this year). His credits also include Ben Affleck's Argo, Julie Taymor's Frida, Curtis Hanson's 8 Mile, Spike Lee's 25th Hour, Oliver Stone's Alexander, Kevin Macdonald's State of Play, Pedro Almodóvars Broken Embraces and Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award. He first moved to the director's chair with the Elle Fanning-led short Likeness, which premiered at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. "Rodrigo's work as a cinematographer encompasses some of the most beautifully photographed films, and we're looking forward to seeing his vision come to life as a feature film director," said Michael Bloom, president of First Look Media. "Combined with Bill's captivating script and the producing dream team of Martin Scorsese, Emma and Jordan, we're absolutely thrilled to be a part of this project." New York-based Topic is moving aggressively into the film space and recently set Inside Amy Schumer co-creator Dan Powell to adapt Brotherhood of the Bomb, based on Gregg Herken's 2002 book of the same name. That film will explore the tumultuous relationship between physicists Robert Oppenheimer and Edward Teller. First Look's first feature, Spotlight, went on to win the best picture Oscar. WME Global negotiated the deal and will represent the film for North America. Prieto is repped by ICM. Gullo is handled by ICM, Management 360, and Gray Krauss Stratford Sandler Des Rochers. Box-Office Preview: 'Power Rangers' to Battle 'Beauty and the Beast'. Space horror-thriller 'Life,' starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and the big-screen adaptation of the 1980s show 'CHiPs' also open nationwide this weekend. It is going to be a beast of a weekend in terms of competition at the box office. Three new films enter the fray -- Saban's Power Rangers, Sony's space horror-thriller Life and Warner Bros.' CHiPs -- but none are likely to reduce holdover Beauty and the Beast to zero-gravity status. Disney's Beauty and the Beast, a live-action adaptation of the 1991 classic animated musical, opened to a historic $174.8 million last weekend and could earn $80 million or more in its second outing. The movie raced passed the $200 million mark on Wednesday for an early global tally of nearly $430 million worldwide. From Lionsgate, Power Rangers is a modern-day re-imagining of the popular 1990s TV series about a group of five ordinary teens who must save the galaxy. The film, rated PG-13, is projected to earn $30 million-$40 million in its domestic debut. Lionsgate insiders say that would be a fine start for the film, in line with such titles as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Maze Runner. Costing a reported $100 million to make, Power Rangers will need a long life at the box office to achieve its goal and launch a new film franchise. Overseas, Power Rangers opens in 62 international territories, including the UK, Australia, Germany, Brazil, Mexico and Russia. The film stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin alongside Bill Hader, Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks. Life, from Skydance and Sony, should follow with a projected $15 million-$20 million. The space horror-thriller, which is expected to play to older adults, certainly doesn't lack for star power between Jack Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds and Rebecca Ferguson. Daniel Espinosa directed the R-rated movie, which was written by Deadpool scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and tells the tale of an international space crew who recover a probe from Mars containing signs of alien life. The $85 million movie made its premiere at the recent SXSW film festival, and currently boasts an 83 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to 48 percent for Power Rangers. There are no reviews yet for CHiPs, an R-rated update of the popular buddy cop television series about two California highway patrolmen that debuted in the late 1970s. From Warner Bros., the action comedy film cost $25 million to produce and was directed by Dax Shepard, who stars opposite Michael Pena. CHiPs is projected to gross $10 million-$12 million. Indie Theaters Get Ready for '1984' Trump Protest Screenings. "When you think about threats to democracy, threats to personal liberty, '1984' is one of those key texts that you refer to," said UCLA Film & TV Archive programmer Paul Malcolm. On April 4, independent theaters across the country will screen 1984, the dystopian drama based on the bestselling 1949 novel by British author George Orwell. Over 90 theaters have agreed to screen the film, a coordinated effort by the Art House Convergence and United State of Cinema organizations, which "encourages theaters to take a stand for our most basic values: freedom of speech, respect for our fellow human beings, and the simple truth that there are no such things as 'alternative facts.'" In Los Angeles, two theaters are slated to participate in the protest screening of the film: the Billy Wilder theater at the Hammer Museum, which is also home to UCLA's Film & TV archive, and the Cinefamily at the Silent Movie Theatre in West Hollywood. "The first email went out in February," Paul Malcolm, programmer for the UCLA Film & TV Archive, told The Hollywood Reporter of plans to screen the film. "One of the things that we did was check our collection to see if we had a print here. [We] found out that we had a 35 mm print of 1984, which just made it that much more interesting for us to participate." Hadrian Belove, co-founder of Cinefamily, framed the showing as part of a larger set of themed screenings. "We're doing it as part of our 'Fight the Power' series," Belove said. "So when this idea came up it really felt like nationwide everyone was having an urge to watch films that really engaged them in the head space we're all at right now." Moviegoers planning to attend the free screening at Belove's theater are asked to donate to the American Civil Liberties Union upon making their reservations. The plot of both the novel and film, which stars the late John Hurt, follows Winston Smith, a propagandist who rewrites history to align with the current political power's party line, as he falls in love with a member of the resistance (Suzanna Hamilton) to the oppressive English Socialism (Ingsoc) party led by the ominous Big Brother. "I think George Orwell and the book itself are so emblematic and iconic of the dangers a dictatorship could pose. When you think about threats to democracy, threats to personal liberty, 1984 is one of those key texts that you refer to in order to describe what that threat even is," Malcolm said. The film, released the same year as its setting, was not a box office success when it first hit theaters in 1984. Directed by Michael Radford, who had only one feature length credit on his resume before helming the project, the film only grossed $8 million in its initial run. Orwell's novel had previously been adapted for the big screen by director Michael Anderson in 1956 and a new version was in development at one point at Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment in 2012. "It's kind of chilling seeing and realizing how our contemporary situation has completely outstripped a lot of the dangers that Orwell presents," Malcom said of the dystopian storyline. "Winston's job is to rewrite newspaper headlines and articles so that they fit the current political line and there's no need to even go back and rewrite newspapers anymore because we're now seeing competing realities simultaneously on different television channels, different Twitter feeds and different webpages." Orwell's novel saw a sales spike recently following President Trump's counselor Kellyanne Conway's now infamous "alternative facts" comment in an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper. The screenings also come in the wake of the recently proposed budget from the Trump administration that would significantly cut funding to the National Endowment of the Arts and National Endowment for the Humanities grants that fund much of what the UCLA archive does. "Thematically, the event was structured around bringing an awareness to, specifically, the threat and challenges the Trump administration presents to NEA and NEH funding," said Malcolm. "The issues we're selecting, I feel are, or should be, nonpartisan," said Belove. Cinefamily also has plans to continue their politically charged "Fight the Power" screenings. "It keeps growing. It's a series that's going to be ongoing for quite some time," Belove told THR. "As we've come to the end of our first batch of films I'm feeling like this is something that we should just keep doing." Speaking as to why 1984 was a particularly relevant film for the current political climate, Malcolm said, "It's chilling to feel like without even trying we've already undermined our relationship with the truth that in the film they put so much effort into undermining." When asked if they anticipated any opposition from those on the other side of the political aisle, Malcolm and Belove shared the same sentiment. "I don't know if there's anything to resist," said Belove. "We're not attacking any candidates and we're not saying this is a protest rally. We're just talking about the spirit of protesting." "I don't know who the other side would be," Malcolm noted. Both theaters will hold free screenings of the film at 7:30 p.m. PT on April 4. (Hollywood Reporter)

Why Kelly Ripa Is Better Off Without a Permanent Co-Host. It's been nearly a year since Michael Strahan departed Live! With Kelly and Michael, leaving co-host Kelly Ripa behind without a permanent partner. His decision to move to Good Morning America full-time left the 9 a.m. morning show as Live! With Kelly. Since Strahan left an open seat, Ripa has been rotating various celebrities, journalists and musicians to fill his role. Jerry O'Connell, Christian Slater, Anderson Cooper and Mark Consuelos have guest co-hosted the most out of all the candidates, leading many to believe that any of these men could be the next permanent fixture...but does she really need a permanent co-host? Live! With Kelly's ever-rotating lineup has kept viewers on their toes, giving them the opportunity to judge a new face each and every time. Does this celebrity have good chemistry? Does she seem awkward? Everyone becomes a judge each time a new face appears next to Ripa's, adding an entirely new dynamic to the show. Ripa even opened up the co-host chair to anyone who wanted it, given they won the nationwide search. The winner ended up being a Pennsylvania teacher named Richard Curtis, who has appeared on her show six times. Curtis surprised Ripa and America when he proved he had the chops for live TV, giving audiences a feeling that anything is possible. With positive vibes overflowing out of Ripa's studio, who needs anyone more permanent than Ripa? Shortly after Strahan gave up his seat, there seemed to be a palpable tension in the air. Substitutions were added last minute, and it felt like people were tuning in to see if any shade would be thrown. Of course, Ripa kept it completely professional. She addressed the controversy about not being included in any meetings and then moved on with the conversation. Eventually, the tension subsided and the fun began. Did anyone really miss Strahan's presence? It didn't seem like it, especially when you take a look at the ratings. Live! reached record highs for the first time since summer 2016 in December, bringing in a 2.6 rating vs. a previous 2.5 rating. Since then, ratings have been relatively steady. The morning talk show also earned a 2017 Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Talk Show / Entertainment category, and Ripa herself nabbed one in the Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host category. Viewers have gotten used to the ever-changing rotation, so if Ripa and ABC decides to sit someone there permanently, fans are then going to have to restart the process of getting used to him/her. Why bother? As the old adage goes, let's not fix what isn't broken. (Eonline)

Get a Glimpse of Empire's Newest Guest Stars, Including Demi Moore, Eva Longoria, & Nia Long. The back half of Empire's third season is truly stacked with guest stars. The trailer, which aired at the end of Wednesday night's midseason premiere, gives a look at what's to come this season, including some of the new but very familiar faces joining the series, including Nia Long, Phylicia Rashad, Eva Longoria, and Demi Moore. From the looks of things, Nia Long is going to be causing a whole lot of trouble as Las Vegas club owner Giuliana and somehow weasels her way into the Lyon family business, according to Cookie (Taraji P. Henson). It also looks like Cookie's getting a proposal, Lucious (Terrence Howard) ends up in the hospital, and Cookie's also rocking a whole bunch of insane new outfits. In Wednesday night's episode, Jamal made a new friend in rehab played by Rumer Willis, and Lucious' continued attempts to push his ex-wife out of the company she helped build (and promote his new wife to the head of A&R) sent Cookie over the edge, prompting her to grab a baseball bat attack both him and his recording studio -- gold records, awards, flat screen TVs, and even his piano included -- all the while reminding him just how influential she was in his success, and how much she gave up for him. Meanwhile, he just floundered around in her wake. She did the whole thing in a tight green velvet dress and heels, and it all ended in a passionate kiss, before Cookie pushed Lucious away. It was probably one of the most epic scenes in recent TV history. Cookie, you absolute queen. Empire airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Fox. (Eonline)

The star and exec producers of the acclaimed comedy discuss the show's year-long break and what tough topics they'll be discussing in future episodes. What a difference a year makes. When The Carmichael Show wrapped its second season on May 29, 2016 with a finale titled "President Trump," the idea of the former Celebrity Apprentice host becoming Commander-in-Chief seemed a bit of a stretch. "I kind of knew it was going to happen. That's why we made the President Trump [episode],'" star, co-creator and exec producer Jerrod Carmichael told The Hollywood Reporter at a recent NBC press event. "I was in a different stage of grief, if you will." The episode centered on Trump's campaign, and the 2016 election as a whole, was one of many the NBC comedy has seemingly ripped from the headlines since its 2015 debut. The Carmichael Show's calling card has become its penchant for diving deep into uncomfortable conversations that many other current comedies go out of their way to avoid. In addition to tackling issues like guns, depression and Islamophobia, the multicam also famously produced an entire episode discussing Bill Cosby and the many rape allegations made against him. "I've never liked mindless art," Carmichael said. "I don't like when you know how it's going to end. When you know all the talking points, you're basically listening for catch phrases at that point." Although The Carmichael Show had the foresight to tackle a potential Trump presidency even before he received the Republican nomination, the show hasn't been able to comment on his time in office yet. Why? Because the show has been off the air ever since that finale. While production on season three started in January, the show wasn't scheduled by NBC until last week, when a May 31st premiere date was announced. The uncertainty of when the show would return also made it difficult for the writers to dive into the many headlines stemming from the new administration, and its sometimes divisive positions, thus far. "We had to be careful because we didn't know when we were going to be on. Is Trump still going to be president? It's difficult. I think we would have preferred to create and air [episodes] closer to each other; it just wasn't an option for us," showrunner Danielle Sanchez-Witzel said. "To be really really topical, we needed a different scenario that we didn't get. So in our world, Trump is president. We might have to front-load it and make sure it airs before anything changes." Joked co-creator and exec producer Nicholas Stoller: "It might be [Russian president Vladimir] Putin by then." Carmichael also had personal reasons for not leaning too much into Trump's presidency in season three. "It's not just the easy, 'Trump is bad' [perspective], which may be true, but we've heard it. But it's like, what's the finer point? What's the more specific approach?" he explained. "I haven't done an episode about Trump this season for that reason. Every week, I read a headline, 'Blank takes down Trump,' and they don't. They never do. So until I find the really specific way... " Just because The Carmichael Show won't be taking on Trump doesn't mean the series will suddenly be shying away from sensitive subjects altogether. Season three topics will include the n-word, in an episode in which the word will air on NBC uncensored, and patriotism, respectively. "We ended up leaning hard into Trump on that," Sanchez-Witzel said of the latter episode. "Hopefully, we've picked things that are relevant enough. Certainly, I know there are a ton of topics that, unfortunately, are going to be relevant for a long time that we're dealing with." The timing may not have worked out for The Carmichael Show to more directly tackle President Trump, producers hope the many ongoing national conversations his tumultuous tenure has spawned about issues like women's rights and immigration will set the stage well for the series' return. "The world we live in right now and how people are so consumed by the news and where the country is should help the show in sense that the show is about these topics," executive producer Ravi Nandan said. "If it's a [mass] shooting, if it's an episode about the right-to-die movement, things like that that are very much in people's minds right now hopefully will then create a conversation through the show." While several other series have also begun to tackle the issues head-on, Sanchez-Witzel believes The Carmichael Show will prove uniquely cathartic in its approach. "People want to talk about this stuff but also I think people want to laugh about this stuff. And that's where a half-hour is going to do it differently," she said. "When you see it in a drama, maybe you want to cry about it... but laughing about it is much more of a release to me than crying about it. So hopefully that conversation will help us." The Carmichael Show's new season premieres Wednesday, May 31 at 9 p.m. on NBC. Seasons one and two begin streaming on Netflix March 31. (Hollywood Reporter)

TV Ratings: 'Empire' Holds in Return After 'Shots Fired' Premiere. The Fox event series has a reasonable open, though it pulls smaller numbers than 'Lethal Weapon' typically does on Wednesdays. Fox nabbed its first nightly victory in a while thanks to the return of Empire. The series, coming off a three-month hiatus that saw This Is Us pass it to become the top drama on broadcast, was unmoved in its midseason opener. It averaged a 2.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 7.9 million viewers. Both of those numbers marked incremental improvement from December. Season to date, Empire has averaged a 4.6 rating among adults 18-49 and 12.5 million viewers once live-plus-seven ratings are factored in, though multiplatform views have it even higher. In the hour before Empire, Fox launched event series Shots Fired to a not-too-shabby 1.1 rating among adults 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers. Its performance isn't as good as Lethal Weapon's 8 p.m. numbers, but it's an improvement from the Big Four drama premieres of this midseason. No. 2 status for the night went to CBS. Against ABC comedy repeats, Survivor (1.7 adults) and Criminal Minds (1.3 adults) were even before a dipping Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (0.8 adults). ABC's lone original offering of the night was a new Designated Survivor, which only managed a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49. Blindspot (0.9 adults), Law & Order: SVU (1.1 adults) and Chicago P.D. (1.2 adults) rounded out the night for NBC. Chicago took an especially steep spill, coming off its last original in a crossover special. (Hollywood Reporter)
