The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) sends teams to different parts of the world during recovery missions to find the remains of service members lost in the nation's past conflicts. One specialty position on the team is that of a linguist. They serve as the connecting bridges between the U.S. team and host nation partners as they bring our fallen service members home. DPAA conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation
