Ben Affleck and Daughter Seraphina Are the Cutest Duo Ever at Father-Daughter Dance. Ben Affleck had a date with the dance floor Saturday night... But the single star wasn't tripping the light fantastic with one of Hollywood's leading ladies. Instead, the hands-on father of three spent his Saturday night taking his 8-year-old daughter Seraphina Affleck to a father-daughter dance in Los Angeles. Commence melting hearts... A source tells E! News that Ben pulled out all the stops for his daughter-daddy event. The Justice League actor hired a limousine to take himself and his youngster to the dance. Of course, that was just the beginning of the special night... The insider also said that the 44-year-old actor, who suited up for the fatherly activity, gave his daughter a white corsage and being the doting dad he is, helped her put the flower on her wrist. In return, his middle child gave her proud papa a matching boutonniere. The source also added that Ben's supportive ex, Jennifer Garner, was very much in on the plan and that she'd arranged for them to go together, even helping Seraphina pick out a dress and get ready. During the event, our source said, "The two were walking around holding hands and he was very sweet with her. They both had a lot of fun dancing and hanging out with their friends." Sounds like a great evening for both Seraphina and Ben! E! News previously reported that after the Oscar winner is taking some time to himself now that he and Jen have filed for divorce. The rumor mill was swirling that now that things were officially done with the actress, but that doesn't seem to be the case. And Saturday night's night on the town with his youngest daughter certainly seems to affirm his dedication to his children post-split. "Ben is not dating anyone seriously," our insider explained. "He and Jen are working on their relationship and have not ruled out dating in the future." (Eonline)

Noah Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus Are Father-Daughter Goals at the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards. Noah Cyrus made a big move in her career Sunday night and her biggest fan was right by her side to support her: Billy Ray Cyrus! The 17-year-old took the stage to perform her hit "Stay Together" at the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards while Billy Ray cheered her on from the audience. In fact, the daddy-daughter duo created some serious #FamilyGoals as they snapped photos together throughout the night. But we're not sure who was more proud to be with who. While the father-of-six was undoubtedly excited to watch his daughter hit the stage, Noah also shared several pics about how happy she was to have Billy by her side. She shared this collection of photos before the show, writing, "my date tonight at the @MTV Movie & TV Awards -- make sure to watch tonight to see me perform #StayTogether." She also shared several other photos with her dad from inside the event. "Had the best date in the whole damn place tonight!!" she captioned one photo, snuggling up for a close-up with Billy. "love ya pops youre a badass! @billyraycyrus." Of course, having her family's support is nothing new for Noah who is constantly uplifted by love from her parents, including Tish Cyrus, and her sister, Miley Cyrus. For example, when she performed her single "Make Me (Cry)" at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards, her whole family was there to show their support. Not only did Miley introduce her, the proud big sis even held up an "I love Noah Cyrus" sign throughout the performance. "This next performer is, without a doubt, the coolest person I know. Her voice is amazing, her songwriting is beautiful and relatable," Miley shared while introducing Noah. "She's who I want to be when I grow up, and that's saying a lot, 'cause she's younger than me." Speaking of Miley, Noah opened up to E! News at the press day for the MTV Movie & TV Awards and dished some details about her big sister's upcoming song "Malibu." "Yeah, I've heard 'Malibu!'" she told us. "It's so great. I mean Miley's super talented, and just like she supports me, I support her and her career and her music. I'm super excited for her." As for the question we've all been dying to know: Will the sisters collaborate in the future? "Maybe! I mean, we're sisters, so we're going to know each other for a while," Noah laughed. "So there's definitely time for it!" (Eonline)

Brad Pitt went to VIP rehab after Angelina split. Brad Pitt attended a special VIP facility for professional help in getting sober following his split with Angelina Jolie, Page Six has learned. We're told that Pitt's team urged him to get help at a discreet Los Angeles center designed for high-profile Hollywood figures. Sources say Pitt attended meetings and therapy sessions at the facility in a private residence, which we're told was set up by a wealthy individual who had suffered with substance issues and wanted to help others in a similar position. Insiders tell us it provides "intense" group and one-on-one programs to aid with recovery from dependency, among other things. "He has used this time for a lot of self-reflection, self-improvement," said a source. In an interview with GQ Style published last week, Pitt opened up about his struggles with alcohol. But he did not mention rehab. "I can't remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn't boozing or had a spliff, or something. Something," he told the men's magazine, adding that although he had quit drugs when he started a family, around the time Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016, "I was boozing too much. It's just become a problem." The "World War Z" star -- who has six children with Jolie, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8 -- also said he is addressing some of his emotional issues without numbing his feelings with alcohol. "Sitting with those horrible feelings, and needing to understand them, and putting them into place," said Pitt, who adds in the article that he is now in therapy. "In the end, you find: I am those things I don't like. That is a part of me. I can't deny that. I have to accept that. And in fact, I have to embrace that. I need to face that and take care of that." Pitt and Jolie's marriage reportedly ended after Pitt got into a dispute with Maddox on a private jet, before which Pitt had been drinking. Reps for Pitt didn't comment. (PageSix)

Machine Gun Kelly must really love the tour life ... 'cause he's fighting through serious pain to make sure his fans see him live. MGK performed Saturday at the Carolina Rebellion music festival in NC, and was obviously still suffering from his busted sternum. He repeatedly clutched at his chest during his set, but powered through it to keep up with his band. The pounding bass from the speakers can't help. MGK's rep tells TMZ ... even though he's hurting, Kelly doesn't want to put off any more shows than he already has -- and he's doing his best to heal in his downtime. We broke the story ... Kelly's recovering after filming a new movie, "Captive State" where he got punched 65 times. We feel his pain ... see no tears, though. (TMZ)

Teresa Giudice is possibly risking more jail time after failing to report 2 traffic tickets ... during supervised release in her fraud conviction. According to court docs, the 'RHONJ' star failed to give her probation officer the heads-up after she was ticketed. The first one was for making an illegal turn last year. She and her lawyer were warned that any future contact with law enforcement had to be reported. But then she got another citation last month for using her phone while driving -- and, again, she didn't tell her P.O. In the docs, her P.O. makes it clear ... this is her last written warning before she's dragged into court again over it. Teresa got 24 months of supervised release when she was released from prison in December 2015. (TMZ)

Richard Simmons Plans to Sue Tabloids Over Disappearance Stories: Report. After years of media speculation over the whereabouts of Richard Simmons, he reportedly is speaking up for himself -- with a lawsuit. As a source told NBC News, the 68-year-old fitness guru reportedly has plans to file a multi-complaint lawsuit on Monday for invasion of privacy and defamation against three currently unnamed tabloids for recent "unflattering" and "hurtful" reports. The location of Simmons, who has not made a public appearance in three years, has been a subject of concern and national contemplation recently as unfounded theories swirled that he was secretly transitioning, ill or being held hostage by his housekeeper. "That's just very silly,'' he told Today's Savannah Guthrie in March 2016, refuting all of the claims. "Teresa Reveles has been with me for 30 years. It's almost like we're a married couple." Instead of all the wild public hypotheses, Simmons simply wanted personal time. "I just sort of wanted to be a little bit of a loner for a little while,'' he told Guthrie. "You know, I had hurt my knee, and I had some problems with it, and then the other knee started giving me trouble because I've taught like thousands and thousands of classes, and you know right now I just want to sort of take care of me." Meanwhile, the questions and concern did not cease and a podcast called Missing Richard Simmons aired to explore his whereabouts. However, following a welfare check from the Los Angeles police department that found him of "sound mind," the podcast resulted in a uneventful finale. "Most people want that last bow -- not everybody," Simmons' manager, Michael Catalano, told the podcast's host, Dan Taberski, of his client in the final episode. "He's earned it. This is his story. He has, certainly, the right to write the ending." (Eonline)

Chris Bosh and his wife are being sued by the porn magnates who created X-Art (admit it, you know it) ... who claim they rented a sick beach mansion from the NBA star that was literally filled with crap. The people behind the suit are Colette and Brigham Field -- who created the erotic video website X-Art -- which features people hardcore banging each other in classy settings. It's so popular, they were profiled by GQ. The Fields say they rented a 10,755 square foot super mansion in the Pacific Palisades owned by the Boshes in Dec. 2016 ... and plunked down $138k to cover the 1st month's rent ($46k) and the security deposit ($92k). Problem is ... the Fields say shortly after moving in, they noticed crazy toxic mold, leaks, plumbing issues, rat droppings ... and worst of all -- the Internet access was horrible!! The Fields say it was so bad they "had to seek medical assistance for sickness and rashes that they suffered from the time when the mold could be seen and smelled." In the lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court and obtained by TMZ Sports, the Fields say they tried to get their security deposit back but the Boshes refused ... and have since let other people stay in the home. They're demanding the $92k deposit back plus unspecified damages. We reached out to the Boshes for comment, but no word back. We also contacted X-Art ... but not for anything to do with this story. THE OTHER STUFF . . .

The 28th GLAAD Media Awards in N.Y.C. had a very special surprise guest this year: Rosie O'Donnell. The actress and television personality took the stage Saturday at the New York Hilton Midtown to bestow the Vito Russo Award upon Broadway star and longtime friend Billy Porter, opening her speech with a very honest personal admission. "Things have been rough in my family in the last week. Let's just say I feel strongly Joan Crawford was framed," said O'Donnell, 55, likely referring to the late actress's strained relationship with her older children, as chronicled in Mommie Dearest. O'Donnell didn't speak further on the details of the recent troubles in her family, which in the past included an estrangement from daughter Chelsea, 19. As of March, the twosome were not on speaking terms, although they reconciled last summer after Chelsea ran away from home at 17 and subsequently married plumber Nicholas Alliegro, who is 12 years her senior. On Wednesday, O'Donnell shared a cryptic post on Instagram: a poem including such lines as "i struck back when u kicked my chest" and "a trick by nick, mommy is too smart." "2:06-r u up? all this time-just minutes away ... miscarriage? no idea-him still- sad really-HE put u out-more than once-should i brace for impact-u got more to say-make a home chelsea-this one u never liked," O'Donnell captioned the post. In early March, Chelsea told Inside Edition that, "the last time we got into an argument, we ended up screaming at each other and I left the room," saying she was "done" after O'Donnell kicked her out of the house. "I would just want her to know that we're doing really great and we're happy," Chelsea added, saying she'd "someday" like to have a better relationship with O'Donnell: "I hope." (People)

On Sunday, while the majority of young Hollywood walked the red carpet at the MTV Movie and TV Awards in Los Angeles, showing off their best and boldest ensembles from political slogan tees to full-on Bollywood inspired looks, one influential teen was noticeably absent -- star and lip kit aficionado Kylie Jenner. But as she demonstrated that evening, who needs the chaos of a red carpet and golden popcorn trophies when you can display all of your latest fashions to the utmost advantage on social media all from the comfort of your own home? And that's just what Kylie did, taking to her preferred medium of Snapchat to flaunt her latest look. The cosmetics CEO, 19, filmed her outfit in her typical fashion, posting a series of snaps in which she stands before a mirror, slowly panning over portions of her body while rap music plays in the background, quickly zooming in and out on her own pout, and catching her friend Jordyn Woods in the midst of perusing Doritos flavors. The attire in question was also another classic Kylie combination. Despite showing off her natural baby hairs on Snap on Friday, she covered them up once again with a stick straight, bleach blonde, waist-length wig which she paired with a black bra top that features a very wide deep-V neckline with cutouts around the bottom and a pair of black silk drawstring cargo pants. And unlike her sister Kim, Kylie has no fears about flaunting her bling on social media, accessorizing the look with a diamond choker necklace, her super pricey diamond-encrusted Rolex watch and a smattering of bangles which really only serve to remind us that the reality star still hasn't found a way to break free of her Cartier chains. Amber Rose and Blac Chyna are still BFFs ... despite Amber crawling into the lap of, and licking the face of, Chyna's ex-bf, Future. Amber is the lead chick in the rapper's "Mask Off" vid -- hot stuff that required them to get REALLY close. Considering BC and Future had a nasty breakup about 18 months back ... you'd think the sexy scenes might rub Amber's pal the wrong way. But if there's one thing Chyna understands, it's money -- and she knows that's why Amber shot the video, not to take a shot at her. We're told Future's team reached out to get Amber for the role, and with 'Mask' being the hottest track out now ... she couldn't turn it down. Our sources say BC's got her hands full right now with Rob Kardashian and baby Dream ... so, she's not sweatin' Future. Besides, tattoo removal would be her more pressing issue. (TMZ)

Adam DeVine's MTV Movie & TV Awards Beauty and the Beast Opener Set the Show on Fire -- Literally. Adam DeVine stole the show at the MTV Movie & TV Awards -- and it just started. The annual award ceremony opened to a full-fledged scene of Beauty and the Beast, MTV style. DeVine, Sunday night's host, played the part of the Beast as he staged a modern version of Be Our Guest, complete with cameo appearances from the night's nominees like Get Out's Lil Rel Howery, Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown, This Is Us' Chrissy Metz and, of course, Beauty and the Beast's Josh Gad. Soon, Hailee Steinfeld made her way to the stage conveniently dressed in Belle's ball gown, garnering a wide grin from the real Belle in the audience, Emma Watson. Meanwhile, Rebel Wilson serenaded the audience as Mrs. Potts -- teapot and all. As a spoof of the movie, things went a touch awry when the stage engulfed in flames. That didn't stop DeVine's grand finale as he swung from a chandelier to safety. "[James] Corden would do it! It's the last verse," he quipped before flying through the air. "That could not have gone better!" he said as the chandelier came crashing down. Well, that's definitely one way to light up the show. Now that the ceremony has officially kicked off, we just have to wait and see who will take home a coveted golden popcorn at this year's ceremony -- the first in its history to combine movies and television and to ditch categories organized by male and female nominees. Instead, men and women are nominated together in the same categories. Beauty and the Beast's nominees Watson and Dan Stevens are up for "Best Kiss" while Watson won "Best Actor in a Movie." Meanwhile, the blockbuster hit's Gad and Luke Evans are up for "Best Duo" and the film itself landed its fourth nod for "Movie of the Year." Jordan Peele's directorial debut, Get Out, was honored with the most nominations of any project this year with six, including "Movie of the Year," "Best Actor in a Movie," "Best Villain," "Best Comedic Performance," "Best Duo," and "Best Fight Against the System." While we still have to stay tuned to see who else will go home a winner, DeVine can pat himself on the back for a job well done. (Eonline)

Emma Watson Makes History While Accepting First-Ever Genderless Acting Award at 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards. Emma Watson just made history and to say she feels incredibly honored is an understatement. The Beauty and the Beast actress accepted the Best Actor in a Movie award at the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards, which happens to be the first-ever genderless acting award to be presented in the history of awards shows. Watson -- a feminist who has spent a lot of her time promoting gender equality -- made sure to thank MTV for taking such a giant step forward. "I feel I have to say something about the award itself," she began. "The first acting award in history that doesn't separate nominees based on their sex says something about how we perceive the human experience. MTV's move to create a genderless award for acting will mean something different to everyone. But to me, it indicates that acting is about the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes. And that doesn't need to be separated into two different categories." She continued, "Empathy and the ability to use your imagination should have no limits. This is very meaningful to me -- both to be winning the award and to be receiving it from you...in such an inclusive, patient and loving way. Thank you so much." After joking about her singing performance in Beauty and the Beast and noting that it "was pretty terrifying," she explained why she felt she won the award due to her portrayal of Belle. "[Belle's] curiosity and passion for knowledge and her desire for more in life were ground for alienation," Watson explained. "I loved playing someone who didn't listen to any of that. I'm so proud to be part of a film that celebrates diversity, literacy, inclusion, joy, and love the way that this one does." She concluded by thanking everyone involved in the film and everyone who voted for her. "I want to thank every single person who voted for me. Thank you so much," she said. "Lastly I want to thank anyone and everyone who had anything to do with giving me this opportunity. And, accompanying me on the journey. You know who you are. I can't thank you enough." (Eonline)

Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown Breaks Down While Accepting Best Actor in a Show Award at 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards. She stole our hearts on Stranger Things, so it's no wonder Millie Bobby Brown did it again at the MTV Movie & TV Awards when she accepted the award for Best Actor in a Show. Earlier, the Brit broke down in tears when she accepted the big award, making sure to give thanks to many including the close-knit cast, the writers and her family for the honor of playing 11 in the sci-fi drama that took the country by storm. The 13-year-old said, "First of all I want to thank everyone that voted and especially MTV...I want to think the cast and crew for being my second family. I love you." The "It" girl then began to get teary when she thanked her support system. "I want to thank my family...you give me light every day. My Mom and Dad for being so supportive." The humble star also made sure to thank Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, the two brothers who created the show, saying, "They've created a bad-ass, female character that I've got the honor to play. Thank you guys so much. I love you" We loved her speech and that's not the only thing about her that we were digging. Millie Bobby's white cowboy boots were the bad-ass touch to her chic white mini dress. Slay, girl, slay! Stranger Things season two debuts Tuesday, Oct. 31 on Netflix. (Eonline)

Moonlight's Ashton Sanders & Jharrel Jerome Win Best Kiss at MTV Movie & TV Awards: This Represents More Than a Kiss. This year's MTV Movie & TV Awards "Best Kiss" acceptance speech came with a major message. The annual award was granted this year to Moonlight's Ashton Sanders and Jharrel Jerome, who portrayed two African American teenagers in the Oscar-winning film and shared a secret kiss on the beach. "It is OK for us young performers, especially us minority performers, to step out the box...and do whatever it takes to tell the story and do whatever it takes to make a change," Jerome said at the podium as he accepted the golden popcorn alongside his co-star. "This award is for us artists who are out there who need to step out the box to do whatever it takes to get people to wake up." "This award is bigger than Jharrell and I," Sanders continued. "This represents more than a kiss. This is for those that feel like the others, the misfits. This represents us." This is the fifth time a same sex kiss has been honored with the award in the show's history, following lip-locks between Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair in Cruel Intentions, Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott in American Pie 2, Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and Jake Gyllenhaal and Ledger in Brokeback Mountain. As one fan tweeted about the movie, "This story needed to be told." Congratulations Ashton and Jharrel! (Eonline)

Vin Diesel Gives Touching Tribute to ''Brother'' Paul Walker While Accepting Generation Award at the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards. What a difference 15 years makes... Vin Diesel made sure to remember his friends, especially late actor Paul Walker (who died in a car crash in 2013), when he and his co-stars Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Tyrese Gibson accepted the Generation Award for the Fast and the Furious film franchise at the MTV Movie & TV Awards Sunday night. During the acceptance speech, Diesel said, "In 2002, I was standing on this stage, and MTV had given Paul Walker and I an award for Best Duo. And now, 15 years later, I'm with my whole family, and you're giving us the Generation Award." Diesel thanked both the franchise's directors and Universal Pictures, as well as made sure to give gratitude to the legion of fans who supported the films for a decade and a half. "Most importantly, I got to thank our generation. I got to to thank, a generation that was willing to accept this multicultural franchise where it didn't matter what color your skin was or what country you are from, when you're family, you're family," said the superstar. Of course, there was one person that the 49-year-old made sure to remember and that was his late pal, whom he referred to by the nickname of Pablo. "I could never stand on the stage and talk about Fast and Furious without giving love to my brother, Pablo, our brother Pablo, we hope you are proud, thank you so much." (Eonline)

Harry Styles Takes Flight and Walks on Water in "Sign of the Times" Music Video. When Harry Styles goes solo, he really goes solo. Early Monday morning, the One Direction singer released the music video for "Sign of the Times," the debut single from his solo album (out Friday). He's the sole person to appear in the clip, which shows the singer-songwriter taking flight -- and, at one point, even walking on water. The 23-year-old musician filmed the music video in Scotland in early April. Paparazzi photos showed Styles suspended from a helicopter, but the cables holding him were digitally erased. Styles discussed the song in an interview with Carson Daly on 97.1 AMP Radio last month. "I think Sign of the Times,' just in terms of honesty, is a good representation of the album, but I don't know if it all sounds exactly like it," he said. "I think there's a lot of different little bits on there." Styles revealed that he recorded most of the new material in Jamaica, and added that his self-titled album has a '70s rock vibe. "I wanted to write something honest and something that I wanted to listen to," he explained. "I think it's impossible to not be influenced by stuff that you grow up listening to -- stuff that my parents played and stuff that I still listen to now." Tickets for Styles' world tour went on sale Friday and sold out in under two minutes. Styles will perform on NBC's Today Tuesday. (Eonline)

Ja Rule and Billy McFarland had no intention of throwing a first-class music festival ... they knew it was going to be a disaster but figured they could screw a lot of people out of money before it became apparent ... this according to accusations in new legal docs. The class action suit that was filed against the festival as well as the organizers has grown to more than 300 strong, this according to attorney Mark Geragos, who filed the class action lawsuit. Geragos claims in new docs some of the concertgoers suffered from bacterial infections, heat exhaustion and other illnesses and are still undergoing treatment. The lawsuit claims the festival was a front for a Ponzi scheme and the attendees were "unwitting pawns." Typically, Ponzi schemes target the elderly but Geragos says this one was directed at "seemingly successful millennials." The suit demands $100 million in damages. (TMZ)

Gal Godot Unleashes Her Inner Warrior in Final Wonder Woman Trailer. The final Wonder Woman trailer is here and much like its namesake, it's awe inspiring... In the new trailer, which debuted during the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards, fans get to see that before she was Wonder Woman (played by Israeli actress Gal Gadot), she was Diana, an Amazonian warrior princess and daughter of Zeus, trained by her mother Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen) and her aunt (Robin Wright) to be unconquerable. In the new trailer, we see a young Diana being taught to distrust men and the world. As a child, she is warned by her mother: "Be careful of mankind, Diana. They do not deserve you." In the action-packed trailer chock full of juicy new clips, viewers also finally get a glimpse at villain Dr. Poison (Elena Anaya). Wonder Woman is set in the early 20th century. Gadot's character leaves her Amazon homeland, the island of Themyscira, and teams up with American pilot Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) to try and stop a world war. She takes on a civilian alter ego, Diana Prince. In a previous trailer for the film, released in March, Diana discovers her ultimate power is her inner strength. The character made her big screen debut as the DC superhero in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice last year. In a recent interview with W Magazine, Gadot spoke about auditioning for the iconic role. "When I auditioned for Batman v Superman, I didn't know it was for Wonder Woman," she said. "The director, Zack Snyder, asked me to do a camera test. That was torture. They were looking at six or seven girls, and we were all in separate trailers and were told to stay inside until they called us. Waiting is my enemy number one, and I was losing my mind." So how did she de-stress enough to win the coveted role? "I decided to put on Beyonce. Who runs the world? Girls! I just started to dance, and I let my anxiety go. Thank you, Beyonce!" Wonder Woman is set to hit theaters on June 2. (Eonline)

'Survivor's' Zeke Smith on Trans Movie '3 Generations' and the 'Path to Acceptance'. The new drama stars Elle Fanning as a transgender boy who can't transition on his own timelime. 3 Generations, the new The Weinstein Co. film about a transgender boy's roadblocks to beginning medical transition, opened May 5 to both tepid reviews and a bounty of criticism from the transgender community. But I believe 3 Generations does speak, though maybe unintentionally, to something essential about the trans experience. Namely, that we must often transition on our loved one's timelines -- not our own. Ray, the main character played by Elle Fanning, is desperate to begin testosterone therapy, or "start T," as the fellas say. But since he's sixteen, the consent of both his biological parents is required -- a plot device that although not accurate (in New York state, minors can consent to their own health care -- including hormone therapy), does capture the truth about the social barriers to transition that many trans people face. I remember sitting in the doctor's office, giddy with anticipation, having completed the required blood work and holding the requisite therapist letter, ready to get my first injection, only to be crestfallen when my doctor said, "Let's wait a couple of weeks. Get your parents' blessing first." Despite being an independent, twenty-year-old college student and legally not needing anyone's permission to live authentically, I did desire the enthusiastic support of my loved ones as I embarked into the unknown. I'd finally put a name to a lifetime of discomfort and incongruity, found a path out of the darkness, but was stonewalled by the same plea that Maggie, Ray's mother portrayed by Naomi Watts, begs of him, "Let's take it slow." Ray faces many barriers from his family: a frightened mother; a second-wave lesbian grandmother (Susan Sarandon) who accuses him of feminist betrayal; a distant, uninvolved father (Tate Donovan) who hesitates on consenting as a means of settling an old score with Ray's mother. Each begins hesitant, or downright hostile, toward Ray, but all come to see and love Ray for the young man he's long known himself to be. However, Ray disappoints as a character because he himself doesn't change. He spends the film in a holding pattern. He can't change until those around him have, which happens to be when the end credits finally roll. While I found the character of Ray to be written with a cisgender person's amateurish understanding of trans experience, I certainly identified with Ray's frustration of finally finding comfort with yourself, only to be told by those you love, "we're not comfortable with you just yet." Trans people feel this frustration on a personal level and increasingly on a cultural and political level. As we've become the latest whipping children in the right-wing's newest culture war, our rights to privacy, equal access, and non-discrimination protections are left to the whims of a public that wishes we would take it slow because they're not comfortable with us just yet. We're again left in a holding pattern until those around us can journey to that inevitable place of acceptance. In its highest ideals, 3 Generations seeks to accelerate that path to acceptance, but I believe that dream might be best realized by future films that showcase well-crafted transgender characters driving their own stories -- ideally written, directed, and performed by transgender people ourselves. 'Alien: Covenant': What the Critics Are Saying. The Ridley Scott-directed sixth installment in the 'Alien' franchise is winning plaudits for its back-to-basics space scares approach. The early reviews for Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant are hatching and the good news is it's not going to be a facehugger for Fox execs, but then again, it's not likely to be a chest-busting critical success either. Scott's follow-up and a direct sequel to 2012's rather polarizing Prometheus is hotly anticipated, not least because many see it as a do over for the director to bring the franchise back into line with the first two films. The very early consensus seems to be that Scott has made another gorgeous film packed with scares that's close to the franchise DNA and avoids going off into 'big question' flights of fancy. The review aggregating sites give Covenant solid, if unspectacular, numbers as of Sunday with dozens of reviews to come this week. Currently, the film's Rotten Tomatoes critic score stood a respectable 76 percent and its Metacritic score a decent if nothing to be shouting about 66 percent. For reference, Prometheus' current Rotten Tomatoes score sits at 72 percent and its Metacritic score at 65 percent. THR's Todd McCarthy was gushing in his praise for Covenant, describing it as a beautifully made film that was gripping throughout. McCarthy believed that Covenant had renewed the franchise and described the film as "the most satisfying entry in the six-films-and-counting franchise" since Scott's seminal Alien, and James Cameron's Aliens. Entertainment Weekly's Kevin P. Sullivan welcomed Scott's decision to leave behind the existential questions and philosophy that turned people off Prometheus and return the space horror that made the director's name. "Alien: Covenant is very much a sequel to the 2012 movie, but one that knows the crowd showed up to hear the hits," said Sullivan, adding "[much] like The Force Awakens did with the first Star Wars, Covenant succeeds by recreating what it feels like to watch Alien." There was great praise for Michael Fassbender's portrayal of Walter the doomed ship's synthetic android. Timeout's Cath Clarke said that "Fassbender is electric, giving a spectacularly skin-crawling performance." Edward Douglas of the The Daily News also praises Fassbender's creepiness and believes Scott has created a "satisfying hybrid of Alien, Prometheus and even James Cameron's Aliens." The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw also gave Covenant a thumbs-up, describing the film as a well-made greatest hits compilation of previous films but feeling that the overall effect was "too familiar. "Collider's liked the movie overall, but still felt Covenant "was a messy film that is at turns, exquisite and infuriating." She added: "It won't be your favorite Alien movie, but it'll probably make you want to watch it again." Of the negative reviews, Den of Geek's David Crow was perhaps the most unflattering, describing Covenant as a pretty but "dull retread" of the 1979 original. "Instead of looking to the franchise's future, it is hopelessly stuck in its past, reworking old tensions with a few new jumps and blood splatters that quizzically stay bloodless," writes Crow. Uproxx's Mike Ryan was also underwhelmed, feeling that Covenant's first act was great until the film performed a bait-and-switch and became Prometheus 2. Ryan felt like Scott was on the right track to making a great Alien film, but then had to pull a "dramatic shift in tone" in order to continue his quest "to show us why these aliens exist." Andy Cohen warns Ryan Seacrest not to underestimate Kelly Ripa. Andy Cohen is offering Ryan Seacrest some free tips on his best friend, Kelly Ripa after NBC announced he would be her new co-host on "Live." "I think he should not underestimate how smart she is," the "Watch What Happens Live" host told People. "I just don't think he should underestimate her in any way." He continued, "She's smart. She's been doing that show for a long time. She's a business woman, a great mom and just don't underestimate her." "Live with Kelly" has been looking for a replacement since last May when Michael Strahan blindsided Ripa, leaving the show to join "Good Morning America." Over the past year, there's been a slew of guest hosts, but the former "American Idol" host landed the full-time gig and landed Cohen's stamp of approval. "I think it's good because ... he's an adult," Cohen, 48, said, "He's a big star and he's a big name. So I think it take a lot of the burden off of her because she's been doing this alone for the last year. It's equals now -- which is good." (PageSix)

Jennifer Morrison Leaving Once Upon a Time After Season 6. Prepare yourselves for Jennifer Morrison's Once Upon a Time swan song. The actress took to Instagram to announce she is leaving the ABC fairy tale drama after season six. "As I reached the end of my 6 year contract on Once Upon a Time, I was faced with a significant decision. ABC, Eddy Kitsis, and Adam Horowitz very generously invited me to continue as a series regular. After very careful consideration, I have decided that creatively and personally, it is time for me to move on," she wrote on Instagram. "Emma Swan is one my favorite characters that I have ever played. My 6 years on Once Upon a Time has changed my life in the most beautiful ways. I am absolutely blown away by the passion and commitment of the Oncer fans. I am so honored to have been a central part of such a special show." ABC has yet to officially order a seventh season. "I will be forever grateful to Adam, Eddy, and ABC for giving me the gift of playing Emma Swan. As I move on to other creative endeavors, I will continue to attend the fan conventions whenever my professional schedule allows. I always look forward meeting the fans," Morrison continued on Instagram. "If ABC Network does in fact order a season 7, I have agreed to appear in one episode, and I will most certainly continue to watch Once Upon a Time. The creativity of the showrunners has always inspired me, and I cannot wait to see the ways that they continue to develop and reinvent the show." "The past six years of collaborating with Jennifer as Emma Swan have been truly magical. Watching her breathe life into Emma, she accomplished more than we could have dreamed possible -- she gave life to a brand-new Disney Princess, filled with strength and intelligence and an incredible closet full of red leather jackets," Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis said in a statement. "We'll miss seeing her every day, but her imprint upon Once Upon a Time is indelible. She will always be a part of the show and its heart and soul. That said, just because Jennifer won't be back every week doesn't mean we won't see our savior again." The future of OUAT, which just aired its special musical episode, has been in question for months. Morrison, along with Lana Parrilla, Robert Carlyle and Colin O'Donoghue, were rumored to be part of a seventh season reinvention. "I think the way we sort of look at it is these are stories for these characters and there are set end points to different stories but that doesn't mean that there aren't new stories for different characters," executive producer Adam Horowitz recently told press. "So I think that by the end of the season finale, a lot of what we've been doing for the last six years is wrapped up in a very satisfying way and then we move forward in a way that at the end of it, hopefully you'll see what we're hoping to do in season seven." Eddy Kitsis, executive producer, added: "I think if there's one thing this show has done, it's reinvented itself every year and so this show has the ability to be many different shows so we feel like creatively it's time to end a few stories but the new show, we feel like this is the kind of show that regenerates. And I think when you see the ending you'll go, 'Oh yeah!'" But, if the show does end after season six, it will be a satisfying ending. "I would say that if this was the series finale then you would have the usual opinions on a series finale, ranging from the best ever to the worst ever because that's the internet," Kitsis said. "What I would say for fans is that it will be complete, so they will not have any dangling threads where they're like, 'I can't believe they!' We're not going for a crazy ending that everyone goes, 'Well, what does that mean?' And 'I feel unsatisfied' or 'I'm not feeling like you came for the characters' or whatever. ... We feel like we've completed this story and the next chapter of Once Upon a Time will be completely different." If the show returns, will you miss Morrison's Emma Swan? Once Upon a Time airs Sundays, 8 p.m. on ABC. (Eonline)

Megan Seeks Revenge on IHM During The Arrangement's Shocking Season Finale: "I'm Gonna Burn the Whole Thing Down." We need season two, ASAP! Sunday's season one finale of The Arrangement was the most shocking episode of the season. On the show, we saw Megan (Christine Evangelista) begin her Institute for the Higher Mind training, but then she managed to escape! While the driver of an IHM van was away, Megan climbed into the back of the car. And then when the driver stopped to go to the bathroom, Megan jumped out of the van and ran off. Megan was able to escape the driver, but unfortunately she ended up at the doorstep of a woman who's involved with IHM. Within minutes, Terence (Michael Vartan) and the rest of the IHM team were there to grab Megan. But one surprising person was also there, Kyle (Josh Henderson). "You know about this?" Megan asked Kyle. "I had no choice, it's the only way for us to be together," Kyle told her. The IHM employees then gave Megan a shot and she fell asleep. When they got Megan back, Terence gave her a serum which he told her would "help open your mind." Megan decided to drink it and then she began reliving the night she killed her stepbrother Evan (Pavel Romano). Megan recalled confronting her stepbrother about sexually assaulting her, which he denied. Evan then tried to attack her again, but Megan was able to fight him off by hitting him with a bottle of alcohol. But when he was defeated, Megan kept hitting him with the bottle repeatedly. Then after reliving this memory, Megan woke up crying and told Terence, "It wasn't self-defense, it was payback, it was payback, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." After this breakthrough, Megan was allowed to go back to her house with Kyle and it sounded like she had a whole new attitude about IHM. "For the first time in my life, there's so much I wanna tell you," she said to Kyle when she returned. We then saw Megan participating in IHM workshops and getting along well with Terence. That is, until she shocked us all. After one of her workshops, Megan met up with her best friend Shaun (Carra Patterson), who now works at IHM. But even though she's working there, she kept the secret about Megan's past, which is why Megan decided to tell Shaun her plan. "I have to be truthful with you, it's only right," Megan said. "I went through hell to get back to Kyle and become part of the Institute and now I'm here and I need you... because I'm gonna burn the whole thing down." What?! So it seems that Megan's new attitude wasn't really new, it was an act! (Eonline)

Did Reese Witherspoon just tease Big Little Lies season 2? We'd say so... If you're finding your nights seem a little empty since finishing Big Little Lies, don't fret - series two may not be far away. Reese Witherspoon shared what we can only assume is a season two teaser on her Instagram. Posing with co-stars, Nicole Kidman and Laura Dern, Reese captioned the cast photo, "Spending #SundayFunday with these ladies ... working on some new lies." The HBO mini-series was based on the novel by Liane Moriarty and despite the fact that there's no sequel written yet, Reese has previously spoken about working with Moriarty to create one. Reese told E! News: "We're talking to Liane Moriarty, who wrote the book, about how could these characters go on, what would happen?" Moriarty added: "I have started to think about ways this could continue. The producers have asked me to see if I can come up with some ideas. I wouldn't write a new book but perhaps a new story and then we'll see what happens... I'm absolutely open to it because, once I started thinking, it was too much fun to see what I could do and to see these characters again. And there's definitely places you can go." However, if they want to go ahead, they may have to find a new director, as Jean-Marc Vallee isn't so keen. "To do a season two, I'm not for it," he said. "Let's move on and do something else! If there's an opportunity to reunite with Reese, Nicole and these characters of course I'll be a part of it, but Big Little Lies is a one-time deal. Big Little Lies 2? Nah. The end is for the audience to talk about." The show also stars the likes of Zoë Kravitz, Shailene Woodley and Alexander Skarsgård. (British Glamour)

13 Reasons Why: Here's your first look at season 2... Although critics say it should be axed... Netflix original series 13 Reasons Why divided viewers with its depiction of mental health and graphic suicide scene. But despite the backlash, there WILL be a second season. We've even got a teaser, released on Twitter overnight... Produced by Selena Gomez, the show is based on the New York Times best-selling novel by Jay Asher. It centres around a teenager called Hannah who commits suicide, leaving behind 13 cassette tapes addressed to everyone who she believes contributed to her death. Each one explains why she did it, and it gets pretty brutal. (British Glamour)
