Make time for chip seal work on State Route 389 beginning May 15

Motorists traveling on State Route 389 between Colorado City and Fredonia (milepost 0.05 to milepost 28) should allow extra time for travel beginning Monday, May 15, while a chip seal project is underway. Construction is scheduled during daylight hours, Mondays through Fridays, and is scheduled for completion by early summer.

SR 389 will be reduced to one lane with a pilot car guiding alternating traffic through the work zone. Expect delays up to 15 minutes or more.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
