Pavement maintenance on SR 85 currently underway southwest of Phoenix

Motorists advised to allow extra travel time between Phoenix and Gila Bend
The Arizona Department of Transportation is currently working on improving the surface of State Route 85 with a maintenance project to preserve the roadway between mileposts 141-154.
Crews are scheduled to work weekdays between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day. Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time as lane restrictions will be in place.
Work is anticipated to be completed in early March.
 ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
