David Hasselhoff Is Engaged to Longtime Girlfriend Hayley Roberts. Congratulations are in order for David Hasselhoff. The 63-year-old former Baywatch star is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Hayley Roberts, his rep has confirmed to E! News. After five years of dating, the actor asked his leading lady to be his for life. "Thanks for all Congratulations to me & Hayley," he tweeted early Tuesday. A pair since 2011, the couple first met when the Hoff was signing an autograph for her. Five years later, they are finally ready to say "I Do." "I knew that I was really unhappy without her," Hasselhoff told Hello! "I waited to propose because I thought I was too old for her." When the right moment came to finally unveil the ring to the 36-year-old, Roberts thought it was a stunt. "I thought he was just joking around at first. He's asked me before, but it was never for real," Roberts told the magazine. "I cried so hard that he didn't get around to actually asking, 'Will you marry me?' until about 10 minutes later." Hasselhoff has been married twice before. He first wed Catherine Hickland, but they divorced five years later in 1989. Nine months after the split, he married Pamela Bach and had two daughters, Taylor and Hayley, before filing for divorce again in 2006. His former marriage to Bach has been back in the headlines as of late because the former America's Got Talent filed a legal request to end his $21,000 alimony payments to her since his annual gross income is not enough to cover the cost anymore. Here's The Rumored Reason Jay Z Didn't Attend The Met Gala With Beyonce -- Are You Buying It?? As we told you, Beyonce came to absolutely SLAY in a nude latex dress at the Met Gala on Monday night. The only thing missing? Her husband Jay Z! To be fair, Queen Bey did take her one night off from her Formation World Tour (which Jay and Blue Ivy are supporting her on) to attend fashion's biggest night in NYC -- but after all the Lemonade drama, you can't blame us for wondering about his absence. Especially when this is one of the first years in recent memory the power couple has not attended together! So why are they saying the rapper was a no show? Well, Perezcious readers, he's simply been there, done that, and already fought in the elevator. A source tells Us Weekly: "He's done it before. There's just no big reason for him to go." Sure... (Perez Hilton)
Not naming any names! It wouldn't be a Met Gala without some Solange Knowles drama, and after the Monday, May 2, high-profile bash, Beyonce's little sister took to Twitter to give us all what we wanted. While there were no elevator hysterics at 2016's Met Gala, the 29-year-old musician made sure to add a little excitement at the end of the night, by taking to Twitter to lash out at an anonymous Gala guest who had seriously annoyed her during the evening. "Shout out to when you think you all 'artsy and s--t' , but your (sic) just rude and annoying lol," wrote the DJ, who stunned on the red carpet in a bright yellow David Laport dress with matching leggings. No sooner had she blasted her cryptic tweet, than her online followers set to trying to figure out who she was talking about. Taylor Swift, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, and Katy Perry were the top guesses. Sharing a photograph of a stilted encounter that Solange, Beyonce and Jay Z had shared with Swift, a number of fans felt positive Solange was referring to the "Shake It Off" singer. "We want names," pleaded another follower, while others gave their guesses: "KimYe amirite sis?" asked one. All eyes were sure to be on Solange at this year's event, following her headline-making elevator attack at the 2014 fashion gala. Beyonce's recently released visual album Lemonade, and her controversial lyrics about "Becky with the good hair," which seemed to point to Jay Z's alleged infidelity, have meant that Solange's infamous Met Gala antics have been back in the news again. But other than her tweet, the Knowles sisters avoided controversy at this year's event. And the stunning sisters changed into something more comfortable entirely as they stepped out of their futuristic gowns, and let loose at Balmain's "After the Met Gala" celebration, Solange in a white jumpsuit, and Bey wearing metallic pants. Oh boy. Robert Pattinson, ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders' ex-wife, Liberty Ross, all attended the 2016 Met Gala in NYC, on Monday, May 2, nearly four years after Stewart and Sanders' infamous cheating scandal broke apart their relationships. With fiancee FKA twigs on his arm, Twilight hunk Pattinson, 29, dressed for the formal occasion in a white crepe tuxedo jacket and black slacks. He dashingly led the way on the red carpet of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala and helped his beautiful bride-to-be up the steps of the institution. To honor the Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology exhibition, Twigs, 28, wore a nude Atelier Versace gown that included futuristic details, including chains and a leather harness. The always-edgy "Two Weeks" singer paired her edgy outfit with strappy nude sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti, and an intricate headpiece. While the lovebirds were affectionate on the carpet, Pattinson's ex-girlfriend of three years, Stewart, was a short distance away. The American Ultra actress, 26, attended the Met Gala solo -- without her girlfriend of a month, French singer Soko -- but was primped and ready to party the night away with her fellow A-listers. The currently blonde star stunned in a design by Karl Lagerfeld: a sequin, metallic, gunmetal dress with a deep slit at the front of her legs. Showing off a sexy sliver of her flat tummy and confidently posed for photographers before walking up the storied entrance of the museum. Us Weekly exclusively revealed in July 2012 -- with damning photos -- that Stewart had a fling with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. The actress immediately apologized for her actions and though she and Pattinson tried to make their relationship work, the Twilight costars ultimately parted ways in 2013. In a September 2015 interview with the Daily Beast, Stewart described her breakup with Pattinson as "incredibly painful." The increasingly private actress added: "Ugh, f -- king kill me." As if being in the same room as your ex isn't awkward enough, a third party was also present at the gala on Monday night. Ross, the ex-wife of Sanders, walked the red carpet, too -- but this time with her new husband Jimmy Iovine. The former model looked gorgeous in a strapless black peplum, vintage gown by Galliano that featured a thigh-high slit, and paired her dress with an intricate headpiece by the Stephen Jones Millinery. Like Pattinson and Stewart, Ross and Sanders tried to make their relationship work after the scandal. Ross filed for divorce in January 2013 and finalized her split in July 2014. She and Sanders share two young kids, Skyla and Tennyson. (US Weekly)
Fact: No Met Gala red carpet will ever be complete without an appearance from fashion mogul sisters Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen. And Monday night, the duo fulfilled their sartorial duties of showing up looking flawless, theme or no theme. Okay, so the fashion designer sisters aren't necessarily committed to sticking to the theme of the evening -- in this case, technology -- but that doesn't mean they don't stun in whatever it is they oh-so-perfectly put together. Ashley followed the metallic-toned trend in her own way, wearing a beige floor-length dress layered with a gold-colored velvet bell-sleeved jacket on top. The star kept her beauty look simple with a loose middle-parted low bun by hairstylist Mark Townsend and classic nude makeup by makeup artist Ana Marie. As for the other half of the iconic duo, Mary-Kate unsurprisingly stuck to her go-to color scheme, opting for a plain black long-sleeved gown and strappy sandals, which she paired with a textured side-parted style, also by Townsend, and nude makeup similar to her sister's. But the most memorable Olsen sister moment of the night? Their time spent in Vogue's Instagram photobooth (after all, they're practically pros now). Most stars took that opportunity to get their dance party on. The Olsens spent it, well, just watch for yourself. (People)
Amy Schumer is inciting 4 million people to go after a guy who snagged photos and video of her without her approval -- and he says those fans are threatening his life. Leslie Brewer tells TMZ he's been harassed non-stop since Schumer posted his photo over the weekend and accused him of invading her space and recording without permission while she was jogging in Greenville, SC. Brewer, who is black, claims he's been called the n-word -- and had a fan say, "Shoot him in the face." Another told Amy, "If we see him we will jump him for you" ... and he claims another threatened to burn him and his wife and daughter. He has not reported any threats to police. Leslie says he stopped shooting as soon as Amy asked, and posted video of the incident. Amy says the video is heavily edited and doesn't show Leslie chasing and yelling at her to stop for a pic. He's blaming Amy for turning fans into violent thugs, and wants her to call off the hounds. (TMZ)
There's a twist in the brewing war among Prince's brothers and sisters ... it involves a missing person's report and allegations one of the singer's siblings is trying to wrest power from the group. Our sources say last Friday ... someone filed a missing person's report/welfare check involving Alfred Jackson, the elder half-brother of Prince. According to the report, Alfred is disabled and has been living in a V.A. facility near Minneapolis. The person who filed the police report claims Alfred just left the facility and no one could find him. Here's what's interesting. TMZ broke the story ... Alfred was in a meeting last Thursday with Prince's other brothers and sisters. We publicized the meeting on the website. It's odd someone filed a missing persons/welfare check report the next day. Our sources say Alfred believes the person who filed the report is a sibling who is trying to get him declared mentally incompetent so they can get power of attorney and a second vote in what is turning into a battle over Prince's estate. We're told Alfred and his lawyer, Frank Wheaton, went to the Minneapolis Police Dept. over the weekend to prove he was fully competent. Alfred presented proof he's got his meds, is taking them and is of sound mind. We're told the missing person's case is now closed. (TMZ)
Blac Chyna is adamant friends-turned-haters are behind her $200k home burglary, and she's out to nab 'em ... TMZ has learned. Sources connected to BC and Rob Kardashian tell us she thinks the heist was done by an inner circle friend who's bitter about her new lifestyle -- no booze and no cigs. BC used to be down to party on the reg, but she's been sober for several months. She also thinks the culprit is jealous of her $325k engagement rock. We broke the story ... the burglar(s) made off with cash and jewelry from Chyna's safe. We're told very few people even knew about the safe -- another reason she's convinced it was an inside job. LAPD is investigating, but BC's on the job too. We're told she's eyeballing security footage to see if she recognizes any cars that approached her house. Don't mess with the woman's money. (TMZ)
James Franco shared sad news on Monday. Taking to Instagram, the actor revealed that his grandmother, Mitzie Vern, has died. "She had a great life. Mitzie Vern, Grandma. Just the best," Franco, 38, captioned a photo of himself with his grandma, adding four heart emojis to his message. According to CleveScene-a local publication from Cleveland, where she lived-Vern died on Sunday, just about one month short of her 94th birthday. While she was certainly best known as the grandmother of both Francos-James and his younger brother Dave-she did enjoy her time in the spotlight when she starred in a Funny or Die skit, criticizing anyone who didn't see James' film 127 Hours. Tupac Shakur's Mother Afeni Shakur Davis Dead at 69. Tupac Shakur's mother, Afeni Shakur Davis, has died. She was 69. According to the Marin County Sheriff's Office, police responded to a call of possible cardiac arrest Monday night at 9:30 p.m. PT at her home in Sausalito, Calif. Davis was transported to the hospital soon after where she passed away at 10:34 p.m. The coroner's office is expected to investigate the exact cause of death. Davis was the subject of Tupac's hit song "Dear Mama." "You always was committed / A poor single mother on welfare, tell me how ya did it / There's no way I can pay you back / But the plan is to show you that I understand / You are appreciated," he rapped in the 1995 track. Tupac was shot and killed in Las Vegas on Sept. 7, 1996. He spent nearly a week in the hospital before dying as a result of his injuries. The shooter was never caught, but many theories have been pondered. After his death, Davis began the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation. In her youth, Davis was a Black Panther activist. In 2005, however, Davis opened up about her dark battle with drugs and how her son helped her get back on track with her life. "He asked me if I could handle it, and I said yeah because I'd been dipping and dabbing all my life," she said during the interview, referencing her cocaine addiction. "What pissed him off is that I lied to him." She also revealed that her son warned local drug dealers not to sell to his mother. He also told his mother she would have to get clean or forget about being part of his life, which was already beginning to see success. He also mentioned her drug issues in the song "Dear Mama." Davis got clean in 1991, but after her son's death in 1996 she struggled not to fall back into her old habits. Instead, she founded Amaru Entertainment, a record and film production company meant to keep her son's music alive. Tupac's mother later turned into a major philanthropist and also helped launch the Broadway musical Holler If Ya Hear Me in 2014, which featured her son's music. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to her family. (Eonline)
THE OTHER STUFF . . .
Hamilton Nominated for 16 Tony Awards: Everything You Need to Know About This History-Making Broadway Show. Much like the founding father it was written about, Hamilton is a show taking America by social storm. Since its debut more than a year ago, Lin-Manuel Miranda's unique rap-rooted masterpiece has captivated audiences all while making Broadway the hottest ticket in town again. President Barack Obama has called it "phenomenal," theatergoers have spent hundreds upon hundreds of dollars for a coveted ticket and this year, it joined the legions of iconic musicals as the 2016 Grammy Award winner for Best Musical Theater Album. Today, it earned a record-breaking 16 Tony Award nominations, including Miranda's second nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. It has officially beaten The Producers and Billy Elliot, which previously shared the title with 15 total nominations. As they say in the business, it's a hit. The show's success is a result, in part, to its multitalented creator and lead star, Miranda. At 36 years old, he's the mastermind behind both Hamilton and the Tony-winning 2008 hit, In The Heights. With the book, music and lyrics in his name, the triple threat has garnered a 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the MacArthur "Genius" Award. He's free-styled with the president, made the rounds on late-night TV and even has a Time 100 cover dedicated to him this year. His resume is one to be seriously envied. None of the accolades would have been possible had Miranda not come across a summer read, Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow, while on vacation. It would ultimately become the driving force behind the show, which is structured like a chronology of Hamilton's American life set to R&B and portrayed by an ethnically diverse cast. "In Hamilton, we're telling the stories of old, dead white men but we're using actors of color, and that makes the story more immediate and more accessible to a contemporary audience," he told The Hollywood Reporter in August 2015. "You don't distance the audience by putting an actor of color in a role that you would think of as default Caucasian. No, you excite people and you draw them in." It's safe to say the people are more than excited -- they're crazy about this show. With 16 newly acquired Tony Award nominations, it seems Miranda is one step closer to making this historical show one history can never forget. "We love Fiddler. We love West Side Story. I want to be in that club," he told Smithsonian. "I want to be in the club that writes the musical that every high school does. We're this close." (Eonline)
Gotta give thanks! Kanye West was overwhelmed at being crowned Vogue Online's "Best Dressed Couple" with wife Kim Kardashian, and took to Twitter immediately after the event on Monday, May 2, to offer up a full acceptance speech for the honor. Declaring the Met Gala to be the "Grammys of style," the musician who, as we know, takes awards very seriously, embarked on a six-tweet missive where he gushed about the night and thanked everyone from Anna Wintour to their designer, Olivier Rousteing, for the part they played helping him scoop the title. Revealing that reality star Kardashian, 35, had been given four different gowns by her designer pal, two of which she'd cut into pieces during the planning part of her fashion process, West made it clear he and his wife had had a blast of an evening. "I'm really excited to get our first best dressed at the met..." the 38-year-old tweeted. "This Gala is like the Grammys of style!" "Thank you Anna for the invite thank you to the whole Vogue team," he continued, "thank you Olivier for making 4 dresses for Kim to choose from which we chopped 2 in half." "And thank you for turning my personal jean jacket into a couture piece," West went on. "also to Kim's hair and makeup Lorraine jewelry and the whole style squad at Balmain and the Yeezy team." "We just had fun with the 'future' theme !!!" the Life of Pablo hitmaker concluded. "It was a fun night all together ..." (US Weekly)
Kate Hudson moves fast ... one minute she's with Nick Jonas and the next bolting out of the Met Gala with DJ Diplo. They clearly had plans ... last we saw them they were at an after-party. Dating life ... in a New York minute. (TMZ)
Don Lemon's middle finger gets a thumbs up from CNN. Some genteel political insiders were offended when CNN's Don Lemon flipped the bird at the White House Correspondents' Dinner emcee Larry Wilmore. But the vulgar gesture has apparently raised Lemon's profile at the news network. "[CNN Worldwide president] Jeff Zucker likes characters," explained a TV insider. After Lemon's flip-off became an online sensation, "people were asking Don if he should be looking for a new job," said the source, "But, if anything, Don's stock has risen." The source joked, "Now they only wish that Anderson Cooper could be more fun." Lemon flashed the finger at Wilmore when the Comedy Central star dubbed him "alleged journalist Don Lemon." Lemon later relived the middle-finger moment when he posed with Wilmore at a Vanity Fair/Bloomberg after-party, raising the offending digit as both smiled, and he posted online that the beef was "all in good fun." CNN didn't get back to us. But a source insisted, "Don's stock at CNN is just fine. As for Anderson Cooper's -- it's never been higher." (Page Six)
This Louis C.K. gig sounds like a real joke. An e-mail has gone out from Bill de Blasio's re-election campaign crowing, "You're invited to Mayor de Blasio's Birthday with Louis C.K.," adding that the comic's "introducing the mayor at our next fundraiser! It's a big birthday blowout at Brooklyn Bowl on May 12, and we'd love to see you there." The -- e-mail adds, "Thanks to NYC's amazing public funding system, your donation will be matched 6:1. That means your $100 ticket is actually a $700 donation to the mayor's re-election campaign. So, even if you can't make it to the event, please donate!" Given all the recent scandal at City Hall, at least C.K. will have a lot of material for his opening routine. (Page Six)

She's just so cute! Gwen Stefani rode shotgun with James Corden on Monday, May 2, for a completely adorable Carpool Karaoke session that we're desperate to see more of! The No Doubt lead singer is Corden's next musical guest in an episode of the now famous Late Late Show segment, due to air Wednesday, May 4. But to get Us excited, Corden previewed the recording with an awesome trailer on Monday night, which saw Stefani, 46, belting out some of her biggest hits with her British show host, and doing her own impressions of some of her favorite emojis. "I'm going to call out some emojis and you're going to do them," Corden, 37, told his excited companion. Red lady in the dress dancing? Not a problem. Little sideways kiss? Stefani nailed it. M.I.A. Has Completed Her 'Last LP', Says She Can't Work in the U.S. M.I.A. has drip-fed a slew of new tracks in recent months, from "Temple" (a collab with Baauer and G-Dragon) to "Rewear It" (its video premiered on Vogue's website and came about through a partnership with clothing brand H&M), "Borders" and, more recently, "MIA OLA" and "Foreign Friend." So it stands to reason there's a new M.I.A. album on the way. Well, maybe. M.I.A. is delivering Matahdatah to its label this week, though the British-Sri Lankan artist paints a less-than-rosy picture for what she says be her last album. And she's currently without a U.S. visa, a situation she places at the feet of the music company. "I am handing my last LP in to my American label this week. It'll be up to them if its released. I don't have visa 4 states to promote or spk!," she tweeted. Though she doesn't name-check the label, M.I.A.'s "Borders" single was released last November through Interscope Records. "Can't tour the US without a visa- might have to start writing songs 4 Dj Khaled and Selene Gomez (sic) to get heard," she added. (Billboard)
Radiohead Finally Posts a New Video (And it's Not What You Might Expect). Radiohead's barren social media pages now have a single, cryptic video: a 5-second clip of a chirping animated bird. The alternative British hitmakers took the unusual step over the weekend of deleting all postings on its Twitter and Facebook accounts, and its Website had gone completely white. Postings on frontman Thom Yorke's Twitter account also went blank. The plot thickened when some Radiohead fans in the U.K. received mysterious leaflets in the mail, heralding "Sing the song of sixpence that goes 'Burn the witch.' We know where you live." And May 3, at 5.01am GMT on Tuesday, the band posted its feathered friend. But what does it all mean? Are they ready to take flight with a new album? Perhaps they're telling us the early bird catches, well, something. It could be a reference to the Down Chorus, a new company established last October by members of the band and presumably the holding company for a new album, the follow-up to The King of Limbs from 2011. Rewinding the Charts: In 1997, The Notorious B.I.G.'s 'Hypnotize' Hit No. 1. Following the East Coast rapper's 1997 murder, three songs tied to him dominated the Billboard Hot 100's top spot for months. The Notorious B.I.G. had been dead eight weeks when he earned a distinction that eluded him in life: his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. On March 9, 1997, the rapper, who was born Christopher Wallace but preferred the nickname Biggie Smalls, was murdered in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles after traveling to the West Coast to shoot a music video for "Hypnotize," the first single from his second album, Life After Death. In the wake of his death, the track rose from No. 2 to No. 1 on the May 3, 1997, chart. "Biggie wasn't there with us to enjoy it," recalls the song's co-writer and producer, Sean "Diddy" Combs. "So it was bittersweet." The Brooklyn-born Biggie became the face of East Coast hip-hop after his 1994 debut album, Ready to Die, spawned three Hot 100 hits. The success rendered him a chief figure in the '90s West Coast/East Coast hip-hop rivalry, which devolved into a dual tragedy, first with Tupac Shakur's murder on Sept. 7, 1996, then Biggie's slaying six months later. (Both crimes remain unsolved.) Biggie's death fueled three Hot 100 No. 1s in 1997. In addition to "Hypnotize," "I'll Be Missing You," a tribute to Biggie that Combs recorded with his widow, R&B singer Faith Evans, spent 11 weeks at No. 1 before being replaced by Biggie's "Mo Money Mo Problems" (featuring Puff Daddy and Mase). Biggie's third studio album, Born Again, containing unfinished material, topped the Billboard 200 in 1999. Evans is finishing a Biggie duets set, The King & I, and a hologram of the rapper reportedly will appear in the video for the first single and, possibly, at a reunion concert that Combs says he's planning with Evans, Lil' Kim and others. The show is set to take place in Brooklyn on May 20 -- what would have been Biggie's 44th birthday. Meanwhile, "Hypnotize" "still plays on dancefloors all over the world," says Combs. "All you need is that beat to get the crowd going." (Billboard)
Prince's Music Floods Australia's Charts as Beyonce & Pink Land No. 1s. Beyonce and Pink locked in No. 1s on Australia's charts this week, but the national surveys are unmistakably tinged in the color purple as Prince makes impressive posthumous splashes. The late music genius has four sets in the Top 10 and no less than nine recordings re-entering the Top 50 of the ARIA Albums Chart, while eight Prince tracks crack the Top 50 on the singles chart. Prince's double-platinum The Very Best Of (Warner) is the best-performer of his bunch, vaulting to No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart, easily eclipsing its previous peak of No. 40 following its release in 2001. The late music genius also charts with The Hits / The B-Sides (No. 4), Purple Rain (No. 5), Ultimate (No. 6), Sign "O" The Times (No. 20),Diamonds And Pearls (No. 22), HITNRUN Phase One (No. 25), The Hits 1 (No. 40) and1999 (No. 46). Leading the albums chart is Beyonce, who earned her second chart-topper on the survey with Lemonade (Columbia/Sony). The pop star's surprise sixth studio album release is the follow-up to Beyonce, which also peaked at No. 1 on the chart in January 2014. Reality TV star Dami Im, who will represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contess in the days ahead, sees her third album Classic Carpenters (Sony), a collection of Carpenters covers, open at No. 3. This week's chart also features new entries from Paul Kelly (Seven Sonnets And A Song at No. 9), A$AP Ferg (Always Strive And Prosper at No. 16) and John Williamson (Looking For A Story at No. 32). Pink, a bona fide superstar in the market, scores another best-seller on the singles chart with "Just Like Fire" (RCA/Sony), which rises 2-1 in its second week. It's Pink's eighth No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart, and the first since "Just Give Me A Reason" hit the top in February 2013. Gnash Feat. Olivia O'Brien's "I Hate U, I Love U" (Warner) is at No. 2 this week, just ahead of the first of Prince's eight appearances -- the No. 3-ranked "Purple Rain" (its previous peak was No. 41 in November 1984). Prince is also impacting the chart with "When Doves Cry" (No. 11), "Little Red Corvette" (No. 22), "Kiss" (No. 27), "1999" (No. 28), "Cream" (No. 30), "Raspberry Beret" (No. 31) and "Diamonds And Pearls" (No. 50). The top five is rounded out by The Chainsmokers Feat. Daya's "Don't Let Me Down" (Columbia/Sony), which drops 3-4; and Drake Feat. Wizkid & Kyla's "One Dance" (Republic/Universal), which rises 10-5. Flume just misses a Top 5 berth with "Say It" (Future Classic), the Sydney producer's collab with Tove Lo which debuts at No. 7. It's the third release from Flume's forthcoming album Skin after "Never Be Like You" (No. 1 in February 2016) and "Smoke & Retribution" (No. 23 in Feb. 2016). (Billboard)

Courtney Cox Show Off Her Drama Chops in New Movie. Courteney Cox may have made us laugh a lot in Friends and Cougar Town, but the actress takes a more serious turn in the new indie drama Mothers And Daughters. And only E! News has this exclusive sneak peek at a scene that shows Cox having an emotional exchange with Christina Ricci, a young lawyer who has just found out who her real mother is. Check out the online video to see Cox's teary-eyed performance. Mothers And Daughters is an ensemble piece about a photographer (Selma Blair) who encounters a series of intertwining stories about motherhood. In the trailer for the movie, Stone is seen being blown off by her daughter while Sorvino admits she gave up a daughter for adoption, something she regrets "every day." Blair's character learns she's pregnant. "What?" a shocked Blair asks her doctor (Aaron). "How long do I have?" The doc laughs, "It's not a death sentence." Blair is then heard in a voice over. "Mothers come in all shapes and sizes, sometimes there for just a moment and sometimes, they remain for a lifetime," she says. "Today is Mother's Day and I remember everything about you." Mothers And Daughters is in theaters on Friday, May 6. (Eonline)
Psst ... Want to know who wins the epic battle among the Avengers? We all do. Rollicking and action-packed, Captain America: Civil War (out May 6) is a comic book extravaganza that lives up to the hype. The characters are on point. The plot doesn't require a doctorate degree. At 147 minutes, it manages to move (fairly) briskly. Smart humor is peppered throughout. All right, let's just spell it out: This movie course-corrects nearly everything Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice got wrong. Perhaps its most impressive accomplishment is that despite a cast full of Marvel favorites, Captain America isn't just the title character in name only. Chris Evans' decidedly square superhero, a former World War II soldier programmed by the government to be an indestructible figure, still feels like an outsider even as he dons the red, white and blue. He's also seething that his ol' Brooklyn buddy, James "Bucky" Barnes (Sebastian Stan), was brainwashed to be an assassin. The character carries that emotional baggage as the movie lands in Lagos, Nigeria -- where he and his cohorts are on a mission to smoke out some guys up to no good. But one mercenary's mere mention of Bucky sends the Captain into a bone-crunching rage. Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) uses her mystical hocus pocus to fly the villain into a building, and, well, this all ends very badly for many innocent civilians. The secretary of state arrives to the Avengers headquarters with a proposal: From now on, the U.S. government will call the shots on the superheroes' employment. In order to cut down on the global destruction, the various caped crusaders will no longer be free to roam the world to unleash their powers. Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) is on board with the plan because, as he puts it, "we need to be put in check." Steely Natasha Romanov/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) sides with him. But Steve Rogers/Captain America is finished following orders and refuses to sign. A moral disagreement explodes into a bitter feud. And after Bucky is punished for a crime he didn't commit, Captain America goes rogue. Sure, he has trusty Falcon (Anthony Mackie) as a confidante, and Agent 13 (Emily VanCamp) returns to bat her eyes at him, but the Captain is essentially alone. Screw the rules and the hyper-verbal Tony Stark -- the vet is determined to hunt down the man responsible for turning Bucky into an evil Winter Soldier. Perhaps you wouldn't expect such psychologically loaded drama from a Marvel flick. After all, Christopher Nolan isn't in the director's chair and creator Stan Lee makes his requisite cheesy cameo. Putting the characters out of costume for a few key scenes helps the cause. With all the loud bells and whistles in these Avengers movies, sometimes we forget that esteemed actors such as Downey, Johansson, Olsen, Mackie, Don Cheadle (War Machine) and Paul Bettany (Vision) are driving the story. Maybe someday they can all reunite onscreen in a movie under a $100 million budget. Fans will also get a kick out of watching familiar faces emerge and pick a team. The retired Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) gets drawn back in and promptly joins Cap's fight club. Falcon also reins in that pesky outlaw Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). Meanwhile, an intriguing new character named Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) unites with Iron Man because he believes Bucky is responsible for his father's death. And a teenager nearly upstages them all! In the most amusing scene, Stark shows up in a Queens living room to recruit a wide-eyed, web-slinging teen named Peter Parker (Tom Holland). Yeah, yeah, yeah: Yet another Spider-Man is about as necessary as another Kardashian reality show. But in his tiny role, Holland is charmingly adorkable. (And as a special bonus, Downey gets to share screen time with Marisa Tomei's Aunt May. Assume this is as close as we're going to get to a sequel to the underrated 1994 rom-com Only You.) Just don't try to make sense of why, say, Scarlet Witch aligns with Captain America or why Black Widow scraps her alliance with the former soldier and stands by Iron Man. Snappy punchlines asides, many of the characters' rationales are murky at best. For that matter, Iron Man working so closely with the government goes against his rakish, devil-may-care M.O. These inconsistent qualities may prove bothersome for comic book aficionados and fans of the franchise. The result of all this infighting is a bone-crunching and satisfying war in which every superhero has a moment to shine. (Jokes one, "Everyone's got a gimmick now!") Indeed, it's a remarkable feat that the movie rarely feels overstuffed with characters and plots. Even the chief villain, Daniel Bruhl's Helmut Zero, is quietly thoughtful yet forceful. He could teach Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor a lesson in how to underplay. You don't have to take a side, though. There's no right or wrong or even a lame cop-out ending in which everyone agrees to get along and sing an all-star version of "Kumbaya." Just root for both teams and enjoy. (US Weekly)
#GiveElsaAGirlfriend has been trending on Twitter as the LGBT community campaign for Disney's Frozen 2 to have a lesbian lead. The first film not only included Disney's first animated gay couple (did you spot Oaken's gay husband in the family sauna scene?), but was also seriously progressive; side-stepping the overplayed 'Prince Charming saves the day' storyline, in favor of a strong female duo who save themselves. But now the LGBT Frozen fan-base is begging Disney to out Elsa, as their first animated lesbian princess, with a Twitter campaign started by user Alexis Isabel. Frozen's hit power ballad, Let It Go, (a celebration of revealing one's true inner-self) has already become an LGBT anthem. So who could be a more appropriate Princess and role model to show that Love Is An Open Door, for everyone? (British Glamour)
'Star Wars,' 'Deadpool' Drive Record Results at Canada's Cineplex. First-quarter earnings doubled as Hollywood tentpoles drove record attendance growth. Star Wars: The Force Awakens going into hyperspace at the Canadian box office helped lift first-quarter results at Cineplex as the exhibition giant enjoyed strong revenue and profit growth. J.J. Abrams' Star Wars space opera, becoming the highest-grossing film of all time in North America, helped Cineplex report record first-quarter box office revenue of $152.5 million (CAN$192.6 million) and record concession revenue. Cineplex, whose strong early 2016 performance is in line with its American peers, also saw Deadpool and Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice post the highest-grossing February and March opening weekends ever. The bottom line impact has Cineplex reporting net income of $17.8 million (CAN$21.5 million) for the three months to March 31, up 103 percent from $10.5 million in 2015. Overall revenue rose 30.8 percent to $308 million (CAN$388 million). Attendance jumped 17.4 percent to a record 20.6 million patrons and box office and concession revenue per-patron were both up around 5 percent during the quarter. Other strong box-office performers for Cineplex during the latest quarter included family films like Kung Fu Panda 3 and Zootopia and The Revenant. The first quarter of 2015 saw Cineplex draw box office from American Sniper, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Fifty Shades of Grey. The Canadian exhibitor also benefited from perennial winter snow closing fewer theaters during the first part of 2016, compared with more weather-related closures last year, especially in Atlantic Canada. Cineplex executives will hold an analyst call later on Tuesday morning. (Hollywood Reporter)
Cannes: Robert De Niro's 'Hands of Stone' to Get Special Screening. The boxing biopic from the Weinstein Co. will screen in the Palais May 16 in a festival tribute to the star, who will be in attendance. Robert De Niro is set to be among the celebrity guests at this year's Cannes film festival, where he will present a special screening of his upcoming boxing biopic Hands of Stone. Directed by Venezuelan filmmaker Jonathan Jakubowicz, with The Weinstein Co. producing and distributing, the film tells the story of Panamanian fighter Roberto Duran (Edgar Ramirez), who together with his manager and coach, Ray Arcel (De Niro), would enjoy a hugely successful career in the ring that would peak with the now legendary battles against Sugar Ray Leonard. "I'm excited to be coming back to Cannes, especially with this movie Hands of Stone that I'm so proud of," said De Niro of the announcement, made Tuesday. "This movie is uplifting, triumphant and a good time for audiences, so I'm looking forward to seeing my friends from across the world of cinema in joining us for this fun event." Harvey Weinstein added that the film was "vintage" De Niro. "Anyone wh?o knows Bob knows what a passion he has for boxing, and his huge input into this movie made it very realistic and smart," he said. "On behalf of the company, we are thrilled that the festival de Cannes chose to honor Bob this year with a special screening. It promises to be a fun time and a fantastic night to pay tribute to one of the great men of our industry." De Niro is no stranger to the Croisette, having seen both Taxi Driver and Roland Joffe's Mission pick up the Palme d'Or, in 1976 and 1986, respectively, and also heading up the jury in 2011. Hands of Stone will be screened in the Palais on May 16. The film is set for release in the U.S. on Aug. 26. (Hollywood Reporter)
Melissa McCarthy: 'Ghostbusters' Trailer "Very Confusing". After the trailer for the reboot was voted as one of the most disliked YouTube videos ever, McCarthy confessed that it didn't really convey the story properly. In the wake of the Ghostbusters trailer being voted as one of the most disliked in YouTube history, one of the stars of the Sony reboot acknowledged the early promo clips were "very confusing." As a guest on The Johnjay & Rich Show, Melissa McCarthy addressed the issues surrounding the trailer. "It's a reboot, not a remake. I know it's weird that they say [in the trailer] "30 years ago," but in this movie it's like the first one didn't happen," said the Spy star on what the new all-female interpretation of Ghostbusters really was. She then outlined how the story was broadly the same in the reboot as the original. "It's a great story but told totally differently. It's the same thing of four unlikely heroes, it's in New York city, ghosts are taking over. It's the same classic story, but it's not a '30 years later,' " she said. Asked if she thought it was confusing, McCarthy agreed and revealed that she had raised some questions about it. "Believe me, the question was asked. I think it's very confusing." She added humorously: "But then everyone said, 'We don't care what you think.'" (Hollywood Reporter)

Gilmore Girls Revival Welcomes a Scandal Star. Gilmore Girls is getting a dose of Scandal with Dan Bucatinsky. The Emmy winner, who is also an active producer behind the scenes on shows such as Who Do You Think You Are?, Grey's Anatomy, Lipstick Jungle and The Comeback, is heading to Stars Hollow for the Netflix revival of Gilmore Girls. Bucatinsky shared his casting on Instagram. Later he tweeted an image with Alexis Bledel and indicated he was working with just her. Perhaps he's a coworker of Rory's? "What a blast today on #gilmoregirls with @alexisbledel -- @thelaurengraham missed the fun," he said. His other acting gigs include Web Therapy, Marry Me, The Comeback, In Plain Sight and the upcoming 24: Legacy. Request for comment from Netflix and Warner Bros. was not immediately returned. Bucatinsky is just one of the many new faces joining the cast. Other new additions include Sutton Foster and Mae Whitman, bu the cast of the four movies that make up the revival is primarily from the show's original run. Along with Lauren Graham, Bledel, Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop, original stars Melissa McCarthy, Jared Padalecki, Matt Czuchry, Milo Ventimiglia, Liza Weil, Keiko Agena and Yanic Truesdale are returning -- and that's just the tip of the iceberg for returning faces! One original star almost wasn't a part of the revival. Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino said McCarthy was too busy to return to the role of Sookie St. James and then McCarthy said she was never asked to. Things escalated from there with no real ill will coming from either party, just lots of hopes. All that changed when McCarthy announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she would be returning. "I went back for a set visit and to see all the sets and everybody back in those shoes again -- I got really sentimental. It was nice," McCarthy told E! News at the Time 100 gala. "I think [fans] are going to be really happy. I think they're going to be thrilled." No premiere date for the Gilmore Girls revival has been set. (Eonline)
Live! With Kelly and Michael Audience Boos Michael Strahan's Departure. The audience at Live! With Kelly and Michael isn't happy with co-host Michael Strahan's decision to leave the morning talk show. Kelly Ripa acknowledged Strahan's departure during Tuesday morning's episode, which didn't sit well with the fans. "A week from this Friday is Michael's final show here at Live!," said Ripa, 45, which led to booing from the audience. "We still love you, Kelly!" shouted one person sitting in the audience. "Thanks, I'm still here!" Ripa said with a laugh. Strahan's last day is Friday, May 13, so the show will be hosting a special farewell episode in his honor before he officially starts full time at Good Morning America in the fall. "We'll remember. We'll reminisce. We're going to look back at the fun times we've had together -- wait till you see all the stuff that we've done, you're not going to believe it," she said to Strahan. "So join us for Michael's Flashback Friday Farewell on Friday the 13th." She then laughed about the irony of the date and added, "You can't plan this! You literally cannot plan it." Is that more shade being thrown? Sources tell E! News that while Strahan and Ripa seemed to have gotten over the drama that took place over the past few weeks, there is still lingering tension on set. "The spark was missing...You can tell there's a sadness in Kelly, after working with someone for so long," an insider says, adding, "but you can tell she's just trying to put on a smile and put forward the best show" When the show wasn't taping, Ripa and Strahan interacted and took photos with members of the audience, but never together. "It didn't seem like they were avoiding each other but kept their distance for sure," another source tells us. "They went separate ways during commercial breaks." Monday the co-hosts celebrated their Daytime Emmys win, and both said the victory caught them off guard because they found out from their friends. "I find when we tend to not go we tend to win," Kelly joked of their absence from the Los Angeles awards show. Let the countdown to Strahan's departure begin. (Eonline)
How NCIS Landed Michelle Obama (and a Visit to the White House). Before Michael Weatherly's big goodbye, the cast and crew of NCIS took a pretty remarkable field trip and welcomed a very powerful guest star to the show: First Lady Michelle Obama. But just how did that collaboration come about? NCIS showrunner Gary Glasberg explains that it all began with the writers pitching a story that involved Joining Forces, the organization that Obama and Dr. Jill Biden founded to provide support for the families of service members. "We've known about it for a while. It's about to celebrate its fifth anniversary," Glasberg tells E! News. "Whenever we can do a story that supports and explains the difficulties that our military families, we embrace it and we want people to understand. This was natural for us." Once the writers decided to spotlight the organization, they brought up the idea of asking the First Lady to appear -- and thankfully, she said yes. "Initially, we wanted her to come to us and, understandably, for scheduling reasons that couldn't happen," Glasberg says. But all hope wasn't lost -- her people invited NCIS to her house, instead. You know, the White House. "The next thing we knew we started to plan a trip," he continues. "We are the first film production outside of a news organization to film in the White House. The West Wing filmed outside, other shows have filmed outside, but we actually went in and had an extraordinary day filming this scene. She was just wonderful and welcoming and I can't thank her enough for what she did for our crew. And then we did a couple of scenes outside the White House as well." Yes, it was as incredible a time as it sounds. "It was a special day for us," he says. "And at the end of the day it's all about this organization and the support of this organization and we're happy to do it." NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS. FLOTUS appears on May 3. (Eonline)
Grandfathered Season 1 Is Ending Exactly the Way John Stamos Wanted. Regardless of whether Fox picks up a second season of Grandfathered in a few weeks' time, John Stamos is proud of how the first season of his comedy has turned out -- especially the incredibly emotional turn it took last week. In the final moments of the episode, Stamos' Jimmy found out that his emotionally distant father, from whom he'd desperately sought approval his entire life, had died. It was a beautiful scene -- especially if you've been watching the show from the beginning and realize how much Jimmy has grown emotionally over the course of the season. Stamos tells E! news that the show's emotional turn -- which will carry over through the final two episodes of the season -- was a purposeful maneuver. "We're on the bubble here with the show. We've gotta prove why we should be picked up, so we just dug in," he says. Stamos had thought about introducing Jimmy's father for a while (yes, played by last week's guest star Paul Sorvino), and the writers went with it. "I wanted to sort of knock Jimmy to his most raw place," Stamos says. "It was about mortality and time that he had maybe wasted not knowing his son and his granddaughter." In Tuesday night's episode, Jimmy struggles to actually accept the fact that his father is gone. "I'm avoiding the fact that my father has just died. I have to write a eulogy for him and I'm having a hard time coming up with a nice thing to say about him and what happens is that my family helps me," Stamos explains. Plus, "[Jimmy also] has to come to terms with his dad being gone and not speaking to him for a year. That's another great lesson -- you can't let time go by and not tell someone you love them." In the end, Stamos is proud of the feel-good TV he's known for. "I think it's important to for people to have a safe place to tune in," he says. "It's kind of like comfort food. It's the kind of television that I enjoy making -- I just hope there's still an audience for it. It just scares me that the television audience is dwindling and dwindling every week. It's so difficult to get people to watch network television unless it's a live event or sports or an award show, so it's an uphill battle." He continues, "but regardless of where we turn out I'm so proud of the show. The last two episodes are the exact way I wanted to end this first season. Do or die, I stand by what we did there." Grandfathered airs Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. on Fox. The season finale airs May 10. (Eonline)
Grey's Anatomy Resurrects McDreamy Thanks to a Game of Thrones-Style Twist (and Jimmy Kimmel Live!). It seems like no one stays dead on TV these days. After Game of Thrones' miraculous (but oh so expected) resurrection of Jon Snow, you might be wondering which dearly departed character is next to return to the land of the living. Well, the folks at Jimmy Kimmel Live! seem to have the inside scoop on which show is following the HBO hit's lead. "For those who watch Game of Thrones, the resurrection of Jon Snow was a big deal. It resonated in the Game of Thrones community and now, as is the custom, other television shows are following suit," the comedian said before launching into a promo teasing the return of Patrick Dempsey to Grey's Anatomy thanks to a particular red woman who's new to the hospital. "It's been a year since we said goodbye, but a new face in the hospital is about to change everything," the narrator solemnly explains. "McDreamy is back!" While McDreamy's resurrection is a fake (we think, but who really knows these days), Jon Snow's certainly was the real deal. Though fans might have suspected that Kit Harington's character wasn't gone for good, everyone at Game of Thrones managed to keep their poker faces on for the better part of a year, insisting that "dead is dead is dead" to the press and giving the character a nickname on set and in scripts. Are you still hoping Melisandre (or Shonda Rhimes) might work their magic and bring Derek back? Or is this a case where you're OK with the finality of death? Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC, while Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO. (Eonline)
Regis Philbin was overheard entertaining the idea of returning to "Live" as Michael Strahan's replacement last week, and sources told Page Six the embattled ABC show even reached out to Philbin's longtime agent, Kenny DiCamillo, about the possibility. "He's already been approached. It's been a bunch of phone tag back and forth. It's in the very early stages," one source said. Since word broke of Strahan's departure to "Good Morning America," potential replacements being buzzed over have included Kelly Ripa pals Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper. Philbin and his wife, Joy, dined at the Polo Bar last week with Henry Schleiff of Investigation Discovery and his wife, Peggy. "Regis gave his opinion about the Michael and Kelly rift, and Henry proposed to spearhead a 'bring Regis back' campaign called #brb," said a source. "Joy was in support of it. They all seemed game for trying to get him back. I think he'd have to look at the deal, but he was into it. He was totally positive." A TV insider told the Post on Sunday that Ripa is "always looking over her shoulder, because the news division has always eyed a three-hour 'GMA.'" But Philbin, when reached by phone, told us of Ripa's show, "I like the 9 a.m. [slot]." While Philbin talked, Joy was heard in the background yelling, "Stay out of it, Regis!" Philbin, 84, had denied wanting to return to his old seat when asked about the shake-up weeks ago by paparazzi. "They should have told [Kelly] in the beginning," he said of Ripa being kept in the dark by ABC brass, before adding of himself in the third person -- "Regis has had enough .?.?. 28 years there .?.?. 25 more in Hollywood." Either way, the show will have a string of fill-in hosts till the fall. Cooper's been called a front-runner, but he said last week, "Look, I'm very happy at CNN. It would be a dream to work with Kelly, but nobody's offering anything." Plus, Cooper's syndicated daytime show, "Anderson Live," which ran for two seasons until 2013, was a big flop. A "Live" rep wrote of Philbin returning, "Seriously?" Philbin's rep didn't comment. (Page Six)
Amazon Prime Lands Julian Fellowes' 'Doctor Thorne' Series from Weinstein Co. The three-part period drama-based on the novel by Anthony Trollope - was adapted by the 'Downton Abbey' creator and aired in the U.K. earlier this year. Downton Abbey's stately doors may have shut for good, but Amazon is hoping the passion for British period drama is still burning bright, having added the latest creation from the show's creator to its streaming lineup of original series. Doctor Thorne, adapted by Julian Fellowes from the novel by Anthony Trollope and produced by U.K. banner Hat Trick, was picked up to stream on Amazon Prime from its North American rights holders The Weinstein Co. Announced Tuesday, the show-which already aired in the U.K. on ITV earlier this year-will be made available to Amazon Prime customers in the U.S. as Julian Fellowes Presents Doctor Thorne, capitalizing on the writer's Oscar and Emmy-winning U.S. credentials. Starring Tom Hollander (The Night Manager), Ian McShane (Ray Donovan) and Alison Brie (Mad Men), the story is a classic Fellowes tale of fortune, poverty, illegitimacy, marriage and entitlement, and all set around a quintessentially British country estate. "Doctor Thorne's multi-layered storytelling coupled with an outstanding ensemble cast is an exciting addition to our line-up," said Roy Price, vice president, digital video and Amazon Studios, adding that he hoped to make its Prime Video platform the home to "even more" future projects from Fellowes. "Downton Abbey captivated audiences for six incredible seasons and it's a tremendous thrill to be part of creator Julian Fellowes' next endeavor Doctor Thorne." said Harvey Weinstein. "Amazon's millions of fans who tuned into Downton Abbey will love this new show. Each episode will feature an exclusive, special introduction from Julian Fellowes himself. And we hope this is the first of many Julian Fellowes Presents that we plan on creating with Amazon and our U.K. partner at Hat Trick." When it was broadcast in the U.K. in March, Doctor Thorne lost out in the battle for the Sunday night TV ratings crown -- previously dominated by Downton Abbey -- with the BBC's acclaimed Tom Hiddleston-starring spy thriller The Night Manager claiming the lion's share of viewers. Fox News host Andrea Tantaros calls rival Mika Brzezinski "the nastiest woman on the Upper East Side" because she claims the "Morning Joe" co-host tried to humiliate her by pretending not to recognize her. In her book "Tied Up in Knots," Tantaros says that in 2011, after becoming host of Fox's "The Five," she approached Brzezinski, who'd interviewed her on the MSNBC show several times, at an event. "She furrowed her brow as if trying to search for recognition," she writes. Eventually, Tantaros claims, Brzezinski said, "Ohhhh .?.?. You work at Fox because you're preeeettty." Tantaros responded, "No. I work at Fox because I'm smart." Brzezinski's rep didn't get back to us. (Page Six)
Bravo to Launch as Free-to-Air Channel in New Zealand, Orders 'Real Housewives of Auckland'. It's the first time anywhere in the world that Bravo will be available for free. Reality TV channel Bravo is to launch in New Zealand as a free-to-air channel in July, under a joint venture between Bravo owner NBCUniversal and Kiwi broadcaster MediaWorks, the partners said Tuesday. It is the first time anywhere in the world that Bravo will operate as a free-to-air network, meaning it will rely solely on advertising for its revenues. Part of the deal includes commissioning of a New Zealand version of Bravo's The Real Housewives franchise, with NBCU's Australian production company Matchbox Pictures, scouting the nation's largest city for the last five months to find the cast for The Real Housewives of Auckland, set to premiere in August. The Real Housewives franchise has proved a hit Down Under. Matchbox has made three seasons of the Real Housewives of Melbourne, which has been a ratings winner for Aussie paynet Foxtel, and is currently casting for the Real Housewives of Sydney. Bravo, which will replace local youth channel FOUR, will be programmed for New Zealand and feature shows such as Million Dollar Listing, Top Chef, Shahs of Sunset, Flipping Out and The Real Housewives. New series to premiere in 2016 include Tour Group, Below Deck: Mediterranean, Après Ski, The Real Housewives of Potomac and The Real Housewives of Dallas. In a statement NBCU said the "new JV is a major milestone for NBCUniversal International's business in New Zealand as the company invests in local growth in the region to compete even more effectively and build profile with local advertisers and viewers." Bravo New Zealand will be headquartered at MediaWorks' Auckland offices. The deal was announced by Chris Taylor, managing director, New Zealand & Australia, NBCUniversal International Distribution & Networks, and Mark Weldon, CEO, MediaWorks. Mediaworks operates two free to air TV channels, commercial services TV3 and FOUR. NZ's TV ad market is worth around $442 million (NZ$600 million) a year. "Asia-Pacific is an important growth region for NBCUniversal International and we are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to invest further in New Zealand," Belinda Menendez, President, NBCUniversal International Distribution & Networks said.
