Restrictions scheduled on Kinney Road south of Ajo Way starting Thursday

Motorists using Kinney Road south of Ajo Way will encounter brief daytime delays starting Thursday (May 12) and continuing into next week.

Utility work on Kinney Road between Calle Don Alberto and Paseo Don Carlos will require a lane closure from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. weekdays starting Thursday (May 12) and continuing through Wednesday (May 18).

Flaggers will direct traffic in both directions through the section of roadway where it is reduced to one lane. Delays of up to 15 minutes can be expected during these restrictions.

Both lanes will be open to traffic from 3:30 p.m. until 9 a.m. the following morning until the work is complete. There will be no restrictions over the weekend.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
