Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's Tatyana Ali Gives Birth to Her First Child. Tatyana Ali is officially a mom! E! News can exclusively confirm the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star and husband Dr. Vaughn Raspberry welcomed their first child into the world. "Tatyana gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on Friday, Sept. 16," the actress' rep says. "Tatyana is home resting comfortably with her newborn." The happy news comes after the actress chose to keep the sex of her baby a secret. It also comes just a few short months after the actress enjoyed a romantic wedding ceremony where she exchanged vows in front of 120 guests at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. "It was truly a magical and heartfelt ceremony," wedding planner Michael Russo shared with Entertainment Tonight. "Tatyana was glowing as she walked down the aisle." In between planning a wedding and preparing for motherhood, Tatyana was able to find some time to write about her experiences and all the emotions she was feeling. During her pregnancy blog with People, the R&B singer expressed how expecting a little one truly is a "magical" experience. "Being pregnant is a magical time. I've discovered pregnancy brain is a true phenomenon -- and for those who don't know, it's a mental fog, sometimes rearing its funny little head as forgetfulness or absentmindedness probably caused by all of the extra blood flow in the body and the huge doses of hormones I'm producing," she joked. "I should probably make my disclaimer here: I am NOT a doctor." And while the sex of their baby kept them more than excited, Tatyana and Dr. Vaughn couldn't help but be curious as to what their newest family would be like. "For us, the joy of parenting will be to discover who we have been given the privilege to care for, protect, nurture and guide," she wrote to People. "We'll wait for our baby to show us who they are, starting on their birth day. Until then, we're happy to live in the fertile soil of dreamland, where anything is possible." Congratulations to the parents on their new arrival. (Eonline)

Idina Menzel Engaged to Boyfriend Aaron Lohr: ''We Are So Happy." As Idina Menzel is well aware, love is an open door. And that door led straight to an engagement. The Frozen star announced Friday that she and boyfriend Aaron Lohr are engaged! "What an incredible week. Thank you to everyone for all your support with the album," she first tweeted, and then followed up with, "As if this week couldn't get any better I have wonderful news... my man and I are engaged! We are so happy. It's a beautiful time." No other details on the proposal (or a photo of her diamond) have been revealed just yet. Menzel and Lohr have kept their relationship pretty private considering her public status, and made their first debut in a big way. Menzel, 45, and Lohr, 40, made their first red carpet appearance together at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in Washington, D.C., in April 2015. And while their romance is somewhat new, these two have known each other forever. The pair actually costarred in the 2005 film adaptation of the Broadway hit Rent together. Menzel was previously married to actor Taye Diggs, who she'd also met on the set of Rent. The two met in the '90s on the set of the Broadway musical and reprised their roles of Maureen and Benny in the 2005 movie adaptation. The former couple, who have one son together, Walker Nathaniel, announced their separation in December 2013. Their divorce was finalized roughly a year later. Shortly after the shocking news of their split went public, Menzel opened up in an interview with RedBook about her dating life at the time. "I'm open to it. I just don't have a lot of time. They'd have to meet me at, like, midnight after the show, and that's kind of slutty, isn't it?" she joked. LOL. Congratulations on finding your prince! (Eonline)

"I was a little nervous," John, 47, says of proposing. "I had to create a speech; I knew a lot of people were looking at me. You know, you never know how someone is going to react, of course. She could always say no and that's the first time that I've been on the carpet pitching somebody! So, a little nerve-racking, of course." The entrepreneur adds that his love "choked up" a little bit, "but she said yes pretty quickly!" John and Heather's 6-month-old daughter, Minka, was also present. Shark Tank returns to ABC Friday, September 23 at 9 p.m. ET. (US Weekly)

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Spend a Night Out Together...Without the Kids. It's been over a year since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced their split, but they've continued to prove they both still care about one another and want to be a part of each other's lives, especially as co-parents. They've taken vacations together with their children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, and gone out to eat many times as a family. However, on Thursday, they decided to take some time for just the two of them. E! News has learned Ben and Jen got together for a friendly dinner and drinks at The Hungry Cat restaurant in Santa Monica without their kids. An eyewitness tells us the pair arrived together in the same car around 8:30 p.m. and left together at 10 p.m. after Ben paused for a cigarette outside. Another insider tells us Ben and Jen enjoyed the "intimate" dinner as they typically do. We're told the pair come to the restaurant "often," usually making a reservation for around the same time for each visit. However, they still remain "just friends," a third source told us. The 44-year-old actress looked chic in a window pane printed top and a skirt, while Ben, 44, opted for a blue shirt and khaki pants. When they left the restaurant, our source says paparazzi swarmed them as they got into their car. While this may seem odd to some, Jen and Ben have remained amicable over the last year, often gushing about their "new normal" and the special relationship they share as co-parents and friends. In fact, in August, Jen told Today, "We are definitely a modern family." She even discussed the family's trip to Europe earlier this year, which sparked speculation that she and Ben were rekindling their romance. "Ben was working in London on Justice League and I felt like, 'Well, the kids should have that experience,'" she explained. "He and I are great friends and we just all went en masse. The kids and I had an amazing time, and he worked hard and got to join us for some. I want them to see everything's OK." In the end, there's only one thing that matters: their children. "Parenting is about...you can't buy parenting, no matter what," the actress said. "You have to actually get down on the floor and spend some time together." (Eonline)

Just days after the season three premiere aired, the rapper took to Instagram where he shared a screenshot of Taraji P. Henson and a headline claiming Empire's ratings were down. "Well look at the bright side at least. You can eat your trophies," 50 Cent wrote on Instagram. "I was talking to old girl but you felt like you had to respond. SMH you know I love you cookie. I got a new show for you BMF COMING SOON !!!#EFFENVODKA." As it turns out, Taraji saw the message and decided to speak up with her own message. "For the confused ppl. Do REAL research!!! Loose change makes sooooooo much UNNECESSARY NOISE," she shared on Instagram Saturday afternoon. "STILL LOOKING FOR THAT DAMN CENT SIGN!!! I guess it's obsolete. AGAIN CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCCESS BLACK MAN!!! @50cent." She later included a screengrab from a recent story that said Empire remains the No. 1 scripted show on broadcast TV. Ultimately, 50 Cent wasn't done just yet. After reading Taraji's response, he went back to social media where the digs kept coming. "All this back and forth s--t is starting to turning me on cookie, LMAO I ran into Lee Daniels at the gym on Sunset Blvd. he asked why I didn't except his offer to be on EMPIRE. I told him I have a lot going on, I'm actually working on the show FOX is gonna replace EMPIRE with, he looked at me like... why the f--k are you doing that?" he wrote. "It's because I'm a drug dealer, and I was taught to get in, get your weight up, then take over. So that's the deal #EFFENVODKA #smsaudio #FRIGO." Reports have also circulated that Empire co-star Jussie Smollett may have joined in on the conversation. A post has surfaced on social media where the actor appears to respond to 50's Cent's original post. "So here we go... I've always taken the high road when you've said our show was too gay, was stealing the word 'power' in our marketing from your show, or was too whatever you felt like saying at the moment," he wrote in the now deleted post. "But now you're messing with @TarajiPHenson." Speaking of Taraji, even though she has some disagreements with a certain Power star, that doesn't mean she doesn't support the cast especially Naturi Naughton. "Sooooooooo proud of you @naturi4real I WANT YOU TO KNOW I will NEVER let any NEGATIVITY come between the LOVE I have for my sisters!!!" Taraji shared while supporting Power. "As women we put up with enough BS. I will NEVER add to that stress and heartache!!! YOU ARE DOPE on #Power and in life!!! #BlackGirlMagic SHINE BABY SHINE." Empire airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. only on FOX while Power airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on Starz. (Eonline)

Joe Scarborough's Son Hospitalized With Fractured Skull. Due to a family emergency, Joe Scarborough was absent from MSBC's Morning Joe Friday. Scarborough's co-host, Mika Brzezinski, broke the news to viewers on-air just after 6 a.m. "Much of the team and I were there through the night. His son Andrew [Scarborough] had a horrible accident -- a head injury, a fractured skull -- but they stabilized him," Mika said. Andrew is being treated at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. "That trauma team is amazing," she added. According to Mika, Joe's son "fell down a flight of stairs." Mika also thanked Dr. Spiros Frangos "and all the doctors and nurses there." "It's touch and go, but we're stabilized. It was a long night," said Mika, who asked people to pray for the Scarborough family. "We want to thank the folks at Bellevue. What an incredible place. I can tell you, because I saw it myself." Joe took to Twitter later that morning, writing, "Andrew doing much better after a frightening day and long night. Our family thanks all for keeping Andrew in your thoughts and prayers." Andrew married Brianna Keller, an English teacher, in Milton, Fla., on June 3. After Mika made the announcement Friday, viewers took to Twitter to show their support. (Eonline)

Kylie Jenner to Be Questioned Over Tyga's Financial Issues. Kylie Jenner is now involved in Tyga's financial woes. A legal team representing celebrity jeweler Jason Arasheben will question the makeup mogul in connection to a $200,000 lawsuit filed by Jason of Beverly Hills against her boyfriend, E! News has learned. Attorneys filed documents, obtained by E! News, order Jenner and the "Rack City" rapper to be available for examination prior to Oct. 6. According to TMZ, the six-figure suit stems back to a 2013 unpaid purchase of a watch and chain. "The examinations will be done separately and the line of questions will have to do with Tyga's finances -- including source of funds used for gifts made to Ms. Jenner," Danny Abir of Abir Cohen Treyzon Salo, LLP, said in a statement to E! News. Multiple sources tell E! News Tyga's financial troubles are in fact true, with another insider telling us the couple "shares funds." During their relationship, Kylie has received multiple luxury vehicles worth upwards of $240,000 as well as a massive, diamond "promise ring" from Tyga. During New York Fashion Week, the hip hop artist also surprised his lady love with a designer Gucci handbag. If the couple fails to attend the questioning, Abir says his team will be "asking for the judge to issue a bench warrant." A source explains to E! News that Kylie's involvement in the case stems from the attorneys' tactic to corner the Kardashian-Jenner clan for payment. "Going after the Kardashian's is the only way he'll get what he's owed. Kylie is really upset about it," the source says. The latest development in Tyga's legal issues comes soon after he was ordered to cough up $186,000 in unpaid rent. Attorneys for F&S Investment Property filed court documents, obtained by E! News, alleging that Tyga "abandoned the [Los Angeles] premises without notice in June 2015. When the house was inspected, documents allege that the premises was left in "gross disrepair, utility bills unpaid and hazardous environmental waste that required professional clean-up." Two weeks prior, the rapper and his legal camp were able to reach a settlement with another landlord in a separate $480,285 eviction case. In early September, the E! reality star gifted Tyga with a Bentley just hours after his Ferrari was reportedly repossessed. Neither Kylie or Tyga have commented publicly on the legal drama. TMZ was first to report the news. (Eonline)

Angelina Jolie is so obsessed with becoming the head of the United Nations ... it caused major marital issues with Brad Pitt. Sources close to the couple tell us ... Brad became increasingly upset over Angelina's political ambitions ... we're told her dream is to become the top UN official ... she was never specific. Toward that end, we're told she has 2 political advisers and a "war room" to help with decisions and image. Brad, we're told, was especially upset that Angelina had taken the kids to various war-torn countries, including Lebanon and Iraq. We're told Angelina would always make sure to bring a security team that was the best of the best on her trips ... but for Brad, it still wasn't enough. We're told things got extremely tense when Brad and Angie argued over taking the kids to Syria to help rebuild the war torn country. Our sources say Brad was always supportive of Jolie's solo charity work, but travels with the kids became a bone of contention for several years. (TMZ)

Brad Pitt did not strike his son Maddox during a heated mid-flight argument with Angelina Jolie last week, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Pitt is accused of being "verbally abusive" and getting "physical" with one of his children on the family's private plane last Wednesday, a source previously told PEOPLE. The L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services is investigating the 52-year-old after the alleged incident was reported to them anonymously. The case has also been referred to the FBI under special aircraft jurisdiction due to the incident being mid-flight. "The FBI is continuing to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued," the FBI said in a statement. Now the source with knowledge of the incident is speaking exclusively to PEOPLE about Pitt's side of the story. Pitt "was drunk, and there was an argument between him and Angelina," says the source. "There was a parent-child argument which was not handled in the right way and escalated more than it should have." The source says Pitt did not hurt his son. "He is emphatic that it did not reach the level of physical abuse, that no one was physically harmed. He did not hit his child in the face in any way. He did not do that; he is emphatic about that. He put his hands on him, yes, because the confrontation was spiraling out of control." A source close to Pitt says any accusations beyond that are "a combination of exaggerations and lies. They have taken the overall smallest kernel of truth-that a fight got out of hand and reached a regrettable peak, and that as a result DCFS is looking into it-and they are manipulating it to best suit their attempts to gain custody." In the petition for divorce Jolie filed on Monday, the actress requested sole physical custody of the couple's six children-Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8. As for the ongoing DCFS investigation, the source close to Pitt told PEOPLE, "He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children. It's unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light." The actor has not seen his children in several days, another source close to the family says, noting that "Angelina and Brad have not been in contact at all" since she filed for divorce. "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time," Pitt said in a statement to PEOPLE following the divorce filing. In a separate statement, an attorney for Jolie said, "This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time." (People)

It's almost certain Brad Pitt will not be prosecuted for any alleged assault against his son ... so say multiple law enforcement sources involved in the case. Our sources say, with the conflicting accounts of what happened between Brad and 15-year-old Maddox 30,000 feet above the ground, there's no way to conclusively prove Brad intentionally inflicted harm on his son. As we reported, there are conflicting stories about the events leading to the confrontation on the jet. Based on all of our sources we believe the most credible sequence of events is that Maddox said something to Brad that pissed him off, Brad then lunged at his son, Angelina stepped in between them and at that point there was some physical contact between Brad and Maddox. It appears Brad made contact with Maddox somewhere in the vicinity of the shoulder area. The biggest issue -- whether it was intentional or inadvertent. It's the job of prosecutors to prove it was intentional, and we're told that would be extremely difficult. On top of that, we're told DCFS social workers saw no evidence of injuries on Maddox ... none. And there's more ... no one filed a police report after the incident. Finally, our sources say these cases are particularly difficult because of the blurred line between abuse and parental discipline. As we reported, since the incident occurred in the air, the FBI has jurisdiction, and our law enforcement sources say it's "highly unlikely" anything will come of the agency's probe. On the other hand, the L.A. County Dept. of Children's Services has a broader scope than the FBI. DCFS will go beyond the jet incident and talk to the kids and parents about the overall living situation. Stay tuned. (TMZ)

Corey Feldman will have hell to pay in court if he keeps spreading lies about the late Corey Haim ... so says Haim's mother. Judy Haim tells TMZ she's pissed about Corey Feldman blabbing to the media about alleged sexual abuse her son suffered as a kid in Hollywood. She says that's all BS ... adding Feldman is just looking for attention and a big paycheck. Judy also says she sent Feldman a cease and desist letter back in July ... threatening him to stop the lies, or else. Judy says she'll pursue legal action if Feldman doesn't shut his trap. It might be an uphill battle ... seeing as how you can't defame a dead person. Feldman's rep tells us he's constantly asked about Haim, especially recently. The rep adds Feldman has tried to be respectful of both Corey and Judy. (TMZ)

Bill Nunn who rose to fame as "Radio Raheem" in Spike Lee's "Do The Right Thing" has died ... according to the director. Lee posted a lengthy tribute to Raheem Saturday, saying the actor passed away in his hometown of Pittsburgh. Lee says, ""Long Live Bill NUNN. RADIO RAHEEM Is Now RESTING IN POWER. RADIO RAHEEM WILL ALWAYS BE FIGHTING DA POWERS DAT BE." Nunn made his acting debut in Lee's 1988 film "School Daze" ... but his claim to fame was for playing Raheem. Nunn also went on to act in other films, including the Spider-Man trilogy. Bill was 62. (TMZ)

Miami Marlins pitcher, Jose Fernandez, was killed after the boat he was riding slammed into a jetty. Coast Guards found Fernandez' body along with two others early Sunday morning near Miami Beach near the 32-foot vessel, which was overturned. Two of the bodies were found floating on top of the water, and one was submerged. The Marlins released a statement saying, "The Miami Marlins organization is devastated by the tragic loss of Jose Fernandez. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at a very difficult time." Their Sunday afternoon game against the Atlanta Braves has been canceled out of respect. Fernandez was born in Cuba and tried 3 times to defect to the U.S. ... he was caught twice and served prison time. He also saved his mother's life after she fell out of the boat during one attempt. Fernandez successfully defected in 2008. He was named the NL's Rookie of the Year two years later. He was 24. R.I.P. (TMZ)

Prince William and Kate Middleton Arrive in Canada With Princess Charlotte and Prince George. Welcome to Canada, royal family! Prince William and Kate Middleton officially arrived to their destination Saturday afternoon with their two children Prince George and Princess Charlotte. After a smooth plane ride, the family of four was spotted holding hands as they exited their plane. Kate wore a Jenny Packham dress, Lock and Co hat and the Queen's maple leaf brooch. As for those gorgeous earrings, they are from G. Collins & Sons. Prince George matched mom perfectly with a sky blue sweater, knee-high socks and black shoes. As for Princess Charlotte, she opted for a lighter shade with a matching bow and shoes as she was carried by mom. The family would meet with Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophia Trudeau and other dignitaries before heading to Victoria. "Catherine and I are delighted to be back in Canada. When we were here last time, we had been married only three months. The warm welcome that you gave us at that important moment in our lives meant a lot to us -- and we have never forgotten it," Prince William shared at his official welcome. "That is why we are so pleased that George and Charlotte can be with us in Canada this time round, beginning their own lifetime of friendship with this wonderful country." He added, "Catherine, George, Charlotte and I are very pleased to be here. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly." "This is a great opportunity for them to introduce their children to a major realm before things like school start to make these things difficult later on," a spokesperson added at a Buckingham Palace briefing earlier in the month. "They really enjoyed taking Prince George to New Zealand and Australia and are delighted to have this opportunity to introduce them to Canada." The trip marks the first time that Charlotte has been on a royal tour with her parents. The family will have a group of 12 people including one personal assistant, one nanny and one hairdresser to help with different tasks. And while a little extra help is nice, both parents are excited to learn more about a country they haven't been too since 2011. "The Duke and Duchess are delighted with the program," their spokesperson added. "They cannot wait to get to Canada and start learning about new parts of the country that will play such an important part of their lives for many years to come." Because they will be staying at the Government House, the family of four will likely get to experience much of British Columbia. And instead of traveling across the country during the eight-day trip, the royals have chosen a location that is centrally located. "It is a largely casual, highly outdoors tour," the couple's spokesperson told reporters. "There will be the usual government formal moments, but they'll getting out there and getting to meet Canadians face-to-face in all sorts of different settings." Fans can follow the family's journey on social media through Kensington Palace's official accounts. (Eonline)

Nick Jonas Chills in His Boxers and Bares His Soul for Wonderland Magazine. Nick Jonas' Disney days couldn't be further behind him. The former Jonas Brother turned solo artist and actor opened up in the fall issue of Wonderland to discuss movie roles, sexuality and growing up in the spotlight. The 24-year-old held nothing back as he dished about his latest album, Last Year Was Complicated, and the process he went through to record it. "I am way more connected to my music when it comes from a personal place, and so I wanted to find a way to present those stories and lay them out," Jonas said. "I really want to see this music resonate with people." And how did that affect the artist himself? "It's helped me learn a lot about myself," he confessed. "I think vulnerability on any level, and having the confidence to dive into areas of your own life that are tough to speak about at times, is incredible." In the film Jonas plays a fraternity brother whose relationship with his actual brother is put to the test following the group's annual brutal hazing process. As for why Jonas was attracted to the role, he says he felt the controversial practice of hazing is an issue that needs talking about. "I think it's a conversation that is important in this moment because there's so many of these stories in recent years of young men pushing each other to a point where it's all just so dangerous." Jonas told Wonderland. "And at the center of the film, as far as themes go, is masculinity: and what that looks like at 16, and the pressures forced onto these young men, and the stakes that become so high. So being able to tell that story in a way that feels very grounded and very real, and starting a conversation, was important." Advocating kindness, fairness and equality has been important to Jonas for a long time, particularly in his role as a major supporter of LGBT causes. "I'm totally aware of my intentions in any and all of my attempts to be an ally to the LGBT community: they are pure, and from my heart, and from my passion to be there for a community that's been there for me from an early age," Jonas says. "I've made so many great friends belonging to the LGBT community, and some of the most talented men and women in the community I'd like to pay my respects to." But does the inevitable negativity from those who don't get it ever bother him? "The positive impact is 10 times more important than the negative comments," Jonas assures. And after being in the spotlight since age 12, Jonas feels he has a good handle on balancing the personal and the professional in his life. "I think I have a balance of it. I accept and understand that my circumstances and my life have been pretty unusual, to a certain degree," he says. "But also embracing it as my normal, I've gotta grow, make mistakes, in the way that everybody else does, only with a few more eyeballs on me. I don't think like it's been forced, and it feels like I've grown naturally." Reese Witherspoon's Daughter Ava Phillippe Makes Her Solo Red Carpet Debut and Totally Rocks It. No, we haven't gone back in time to Reese Witherspoon's early days on the red carpet...It's just her totally adorable, look-alike daughter, Ava Phillippe! The 17-year-old daughter of Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe had an exciting night on Thursday, walking the red carpet by herself for the first time! She attended a launch dinner for the Chanel No. 5 L'eau fragrance in West Hollywood, looking beyond chic in an olive top and a multicolored, tweed Chanel skirt for the event. She accessorized the look with a sequin gray Chanel mini purse and black strappy sandals with a rosette on the toe. But it wasn't just her ensemble that screamed fabulous. Ava totally held her own, taking a page out of mom's book and modeling on the carpet as though she's been doing it for years. From her pose to her sweet smirk, she looked beyond confident and beautiful. Meanwhile, Witherspoon recently gushed to E! News' Marc Malkin about how proud she is of her daughter. "She's just a sweetheart," she said. "And just a nice young woman who's turned out to have this huge heart and soul and, I'm just so proud of her." It's no surprise that Ava attended the fashion event as Witherspoon hinted at her daughter's interest in the industry earlier this year. "She's so much cooler than I am!" the Oscar winner told to Us Weekly at the time. "She's very cutting-edge, and she knows a lot about fashion, and she has her own sense of style, which is amazing." We're told the home will have a 2-story playroom, gigantic gym, basketball court, hair salon, full spa with facial and massage room, and a music studio for Kanye. There's even a FULL-SIZE movie theater with a Dolby sound system. Kim and Kanye bought the home in 2014 for $20 mil. (TMZ)

Christina Grimmie Honored With Touching Tribute on Anniversary of Her First iHeartRadio Music Festival Performance. Christina Grimmie's memory continues to live on. The 2016 iHeart Radio Music Festival paid tribute to the late singer just a year after she first performed at the annual event with a moving compilation of her too short-lived career. In between shots of her live performances and viral YouTube videos, Grimmie, who was tragically killed by a gunman in June, narrates the video with a poignant message to her loyal followers. "My fans are literally the biggest part of why I'm this far, why I'm doing what I'm doing is because you guys support me and have such a love for me," she says, later adding, "You are an extremely unique, individual person. Don't let those invalid opinions of others just bring you to the pits, okay?" In 2015, the former Voice contestant won the fan-voted Macy's iHeartRadio Rising Star contest where she kicked off the Las Vegas-based music fest with a set of her original music. Since the 22-year-old's shocking death three months ago, Grimmie's family released a four-song visual EP she recorded before her passing. Grimmie will also make her film debut posthumously in the upcoming indie flick The Matchbreaker, set to hit theaters Oct. 7. During the 2016 Emmys telecast, Christina's fan base lambasted the award show on social media for not including the artist in its "In Memoriam" segment. Grimmie was fatally shot while signing autographs for fans at Orlando's Plaza Live Theater on June 10, an incident that brought her friends, family and fans as well as the music community together in mourning. During a memorial service, her brother Marcus, who was present at the time of the shooting, addressed the crowds who came out to pay their respects. "I don't have anything to say, I don't have words still and it's a good and bad thing," he said. "All I'm going to say is thank God for the mark that she left on this world. Thanks mom and dad I know it's going to be really tough for us to move forward." (Eonline)

Miley Cyrus Joins Billy Idol Onstage at iHeartRadio Music Festival for Epic Surprise Performance. Miley Cyrus set the roof on fire at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival! The pop wild child joined headliner Billy Idol onstage Friday evening for an epic collaboration of the rock star's 1983 hit, "Rebel Yell." Attendees were taken by complete surprise when Cyrus stepped out ready to rock Sin City's socks off, telling the crowd, "I'm singing with Billy f--king Idol, let's do it!" Miley certainly dressed for the occasion, paying tribute to the music legend by sporting a pair of sunglasses with his name emblazoned across it, a leather jacket with an image of Idol's face on the back and leather pants that had "I [love] Billy Idol" written down both legs. Suffice to say she's a big fan. Fiance Liam Hemsworth was in the audience supporting his leading lady, and the lovebirds kept the party going with a post-performance stop by Las Vegas' Omnia nightclub. Joined by some of their close friends, an eyewitness told E! News, "The entire group seemed to be in good spirits." With such a strong start to the two-day fest, music fans are surely expecting even more surprises from the night's lineup. Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, Usher and Pitbull will all perform live from the T-Mobile Arena in just a few short hours. For those unable to make the trek to Vegas, the festival will be broadcast live via iHeartMedia radio stations and streamed on CWTV.com and The CW app. (Eonline)

The Backstreet Boys Are Going to Las Vegas and We Can Already Hear the Fangirls Screaming. Backstreet's back, all right. E! News has learned that the fan-favorite boy band of the 2000s, The Backstreet Boys, are returning to the stage to entertain fans with a residency in Las Vegas. The show Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life, will feature your heartthrobs Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson inside The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino beginning March 1, 2017. But tickets go on sale next week! Tickets will go on sale to the public on Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. PST. American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Monday at 10 a.m. PST through Sept. 30 at 10 p.m. PST. "We're going to call the show Larger Than Life, and we're taking that theme and we're going to run with it," Richardson said. "What can you expect?" "We're excited to bring our experience from being a touring act with all of our hits to Vegas, so that it becomes something that you'll never forget," Carter adds. Fans have been on the edge of their seat when it came to BSB possibly going back on tour, especially when rumors claimed they'd be teaming up with -- wait for it -- The Spice Girls. Speculation surrounding a possible joint venture hit the Internet late last year, and E! News discussed the idea with Carter during an interview. "I actually did a little Twitter shout-out to Mel B because we're friends and I said, 'Hey this could be a cool idea. What if we did a Backstreet Boys-Spice Girls tour?'" Carter began. "And there were talks in the past about it and we had done the New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys tour in the past. I think this would be that last hurrah -- the two big groups from the late '90s. Maybe do a world tour, stadiums, stuff like that and do a package together." Well, a Las Vegas residency is a good start. You can find out the dates and get tickets for Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life here. (Eonline)

Ricky Martin and Maluma Debut Music Video for "Vente Pa 'Ca." Ricky Martin and Maluma really know how to party! The Puerto Rican and Colombian artists just released their music video for "Vente Pa'Ca" and it's all sorts of hot. It all goes down in Miami when Ricky and Maluma coincidentally run into each other while at a swanky hotel. Then in true Miami style, the two have numerous parties and even one grand rooftop soiree. The music video had over 50 extras and was directed by Jessy Terrero. The track was originally written in English as "Some Kind of a Dream" and adapted into Spanish by Mau and Ricky Montaner, the sons of singer Ricardo Montaner. Sep. 23, "Vente Pa'Ca debuted on radio stations around the world and on all-digital music streaming services like iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, and Google. Ricky also took the party to social media when he becomes the first artist to do a takeover of Instagram en Espanol, @instagramES, as he shares a day in the life of his One World Tour. Can we get an invite for the next party, Ricky?

The Game kicked Russell Simmons' peace talks to the curb ... publicly dissing Meek Mill Thursday night near his hometown. You hear Game say at the beginning of the club, "F*** Meek Mill." Russell Simmons might have thought he shut it down, but their beef is alive and well. BTW ... after the concert Game sauntered around Philly ... clearly not concerned about retribution. (TMZ)

JoJo Calls Out 'Fake A-- B-tches' on New Song 'FAB' Feat. Remy Ma. JoJo takes issue with "fake a-- b-tches" on her new track "FAB" co-starring rapper Remy Ma. The song follows her previously released tracks "F*** Apologies" featuring Atlantic Records label mate Wiz Khalifa and the soulful number "Mad Love," both appearing on her forthcoming album Mad Love. In August, JoJo told Billboard that her third studio effort -- her first album in 10 years -- would include a middle finger to the haters called "I Can Only" featuring Alessia Cara as well as an ode to her late father, Joel Levesque, called "Music." Here, the songstress keeps it 100 by calling out the phonies: "When they smile in your face, but behind you it ain't well wishes/ When they eatin' all the food off your plate and they don't do dishes /When they words and they actions blur and they don't know different/ No time for these fake a-- b-tches." JoJo's Mad Love lands on Oct. 14. (Billboard)

Album No. 3 Already In The Works for The Lumineers. After riding its debut album for the better part of four years, The Lumineers want to make sure there's a shorter interim between this year's Cleopatra and its follow-up. Though the Denver group plans to be on the road well into 2017, it's already hatching plans to start work on material for its third studio set. "I think we're going to build in time on these tours so there can be writing retreats, so we can go somewhere when we have time off and write," the group's Wes Schultz tells Billboard. "On the last album, any time we'd have time off we'd just lay around, must exhausted. It was more like a foxhole, just getting-by survival state of mind. So now we're trying to make this thing sustainable and hopefully put out records in shorter gaps than four years -- unless they need to be -- and write in a more consistent way in-between. The last time it really was kind of feast or famine relative to the writing or the tour, so we're all trying to create more harmony between the two so there can be more of a balance between them." Schultz says he and bandmates Jeremiah Fraites and Neyla Pekarek have some "morsels" of new songs between them, just as the germs (or better) for Cleopatra tracks such as "Gun Song", "Sick in the Head, Sleep on the Floor" and the single "Ophelia" had been around since The Lumineers recorded its self-titled debut, and even before. There's also an appetite to build the band's repertoire even more after spending so much time with just the 11 tracks from The Lumineers album and a few extras to deal with. "I don't think it's a healthy thing to keep playing the same thing over and over for years," Schultz explains. "It's been a relief to have new material, essentially double to pull from, and that makes us want to write more and more records that we feel strongly about. (Cleopatra) is almost like chapter two of a book we've started -- not a total deviation from the first album, but it sounds a little more filled-out, just sonically. The vibe I get off it is it doesn't sound as much like a demo as the first one did. And I imagine the next (album) will go even further." For now, however, Schultz and company are focusing on "Cleopatra" and the road work. And they're still basking -- albeit somewhat unsteadily -- in the set's No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 (as well as in the U.K. and Canada) back in April. "I don't know what to make of that," Schultz says. "I think it helps keep people off your back, like the record label person who's really only moved emotionally by results like that. I tend to keep a little bit of distance from that; If someone says to me, 'Congratulations on the album being No. 1' or something, that doesn't mean anything vs. 'That song really affected me' or 'I really love the melody, the lyrics,' something tangible like that. But I'm glad it gave more people interest in the record. I remember my brother texting me, 'That's pretty fucking crazy, you have a No. 1 album!' Everybody was so freaked out. But I would hope that people who were waiting for it would trust that we were taking our time for a good reason." (Billboard)

LCD Soundsystem-Curated Beach Vibes Fest Canceled. James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem performs during 2016 Lollapalooza Day Four at Grant Park on July 31, 2016 in Chicago. The LCD Sound system-curated Beach Vibes Festival on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula has been canceled. In a statement posted on the event's site, organizers of the event slated for Jan. 26 28 in Riviera Maya said it was "not coming together in the way that it was envisioned, and all parties have agreed that putting on an event that is less than 100% would be a disservice to the fans and bands alike." In June it was announced that the reunited LCD was slated to play two headlining sets alongside such EDM and hip-hop acts as Carl Craig, Hot Chip, Holy Ghost!, Poolside, Horse Meat Disco, Museum of Love, Eric Duncan, Shit Robot, Tim Sweeney, Felix Dickinson, Lovefingers, DJ Harvey, The Black Madonna, Juan Maclean and Run the Jewels. Fans who purchased all-inclusive packages from CID Presents will get a full refund. CID Presents has a list of other band-focused events coming up in 2017, including a Jan. 13-15 get-away on the Riviera Maya with Phish, a Crash My Playa with Luke Bryan (Jan. 19-22), a Mad Decent Beach Party (Feb. 16-19) and three shows on the beach with Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds (Feb. 23-25). A spokesperson for LCD Soundsystem could not be reached for further comment at press time; Billboard has also reached out to CID for further comment. (Billboard)

Magnificent Seven: That Time Chris Pratt ''Almost Got Killed By a Horse'' and Haley Bennett Burned Her Boobs With a Bullet. Things got pretty dangerous when Chris Pratt was shooting The Magnificent Seven. "I almost got killed by a horse," the actor tells me. Oh? "There was an explosion and the stuntman fell off the horse and they thought the horse was going to go over...towards its handler, but the explosion freaked him out and he just ran straight at me and peeled off and went right past me," Pratt said. Despite being startled, the incident actually made it into the movie because Pratt stayed in character. "Thank God none of us got seriously [injured]," Pratt said. Although most of the cast agreed that Haley Bennett was probably the best when it came to handling a rifle, she admitted at least one mishap with her gun. "My bullets flew up and fell into my cleavage," she said. Ouch! "They burn you. You could just smell the flesh burning," Bennett said. "When I was riding the horses, I would get chaffing. We had mosquito bites and my hands were raw from the reigns and my legs were raw from the stirrups because I was wearing a dress." The Antoine Fuqua-directed Magnificent Seven is remake of the 1960 movie of the same name. Rounding out the cast this time around are Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onofrio, Byung-hun Lee, Manuel Garcia Rulfo, Martin Sensmeier, Peter Sarsgaard, Luke Grimes and Matt Bomer. The movie is in theaters now. (Eonline)

The Magnificent Seven, Sony and MGM's remake of the 1960 classic Western, galloped to $1.75 million Thursday night from 3,096 locations. The film, about seven men who team up to protect a small town, features an all-star cast including Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onofrio. Byung-hun Lee and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. The Magnificent Seven, made in association with LStar Capital and Village Roadshow Pictures, had its world premiere as the opening night film at the Toronto Film Festival earlier in September. Warner Bros,' animated film Storks also opens wide this weekend. It is expected to earn between $20 million and $30 million. 'The Ten Commandments' 60th Anniversary: Yul Brynner's Exclusive Photos From the Set. As the most expensive film ever made in its day nears its 60th?anniversary, the late star's daughter reveals the images captured on Cecil?B.?DeMille's set by the legendary actor. When Hollywood epics truly were epic, Cecil B. DeMille topped them all with Paramount's 1956 film The Ten Commandments. Produced for a cost of $13.5 million (nearly $120 million today), the biblical drama was, at the time, the most expensive movie ever made, and its initial release took in $120 million worldwide ($1.06 billion today). Amid the massive undertaking, filmed on Egypt's Sinai Peninsula (and on Paramount's Hollywood lot), Yul Brynner -- the Russia-born actor who faced off against Charlton Heston's Moses as the ramrod-straight Pharaoh Ramses II -- turned to his avocation, photography. "He really wanted to be a director, but as his life as an actor became bigger and the idea of directing faded, his photography was his link to that creative outlet," says his daughter Victoria, who has preserved thousands of images taken by her father, who died in 1985. To mark the 60th anniversary of Commandments, she offered THR an exclusive look at his photos from the shoot. "The scale of everything -- the people, the costumes, the sets -- there was so much going on," says Victoria. "What I love about these pictures, they've remained impeccable in terms of color and contrast. They were all shot on Kodachrome, and nothing has faded." (Hollywood Reporter)

"Patrick Stewart brings an incredible depth of experience behind some of the big questions that he asks in the film. We hope that this inspires people to boldly ask big questions for themselves," Carter said. (Hollywood Reporter)

Pretty Little Liars Series Finale Spoilers: Wedding Vows, a Potential Death and More. The Pretty Little Liars series finale may be months away but I. Marlene King is already giving fans a taste of what's to come. The series creator took to her Twitter to tease portions of the finale script. "When I was writing the pilot I tweeted u lines along the way. So let's share the series finale 2gether," she tweeted. Her first teaser? A scene between Alison (Sasha Pieterse) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) in which Ali is on the phone with... the state police. Dun, dun, dun... The next: a line from Toby (Keegan Allen): "I used to know a girl who liked to say 'hope breeds eternal misery.'" Awww. And then there was this mysterious gem with the character speaking it remaining a mystery: "If you don't stop looking at me like that, I'm never going to be able to say my vows without the ugly cry." How about a threatening one? "Are you here to kill me?" and King paired that line with this tweet: "Of course it's not all romance, it's PLL." Finally, her last tease of the afternoon: "It's like when you finish a book and you don't want it to end. Even if the characters are happy, you're still sad that it's ending." "Appropriately the last one for now. Time to write write write," she tweeted. Pretty Little Liars stars Bellisario, Pieterse, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Ian Harding, Tyler Blackburn and Janel Parrish. The Freeform series is set to wrap up after seven seasons in the spring of 2017. "It's been an honor to work with such a talented cast and crew over the last seven years. We are a family, and it will be hard to say goodbye to a show that has made such an impact on young audiences and been a mouthpiece for cultural change. I'm excited for fans to finally have all of their questions answered, and I believe they will be satisfied with the wild ride that is our last ten episodes," King said in a statement after the news was announced. "I am also thrilled to embark on my next endeavor Famous In Love with Bella Thorne and for PLL fans to get wrapped up in Paige's rise to stardom and the pitfalls of Hollywood." (Eonline)

Twist! Will the Big Reveals in This Is Us and Pitch Really Work? Fall's newest TV trend? Pilot twists. And time travel, but that's another story. Both NBC's This Is Us and Fox's Pitch, two of the best pilots out of the crop for the 2016 fall TV premieres, feature twists that sort of change the game for each respective series. Yes, a family drama and a sports drama have twists that took viewers by surprise in the M. Night Shyamalan sort of way. It's not a coincidence -- both shows hail from Crazy, Stupid, Love's Dan Fogelman. Warning, spoilers for the series premieres of This Is Us and Pitch. NBC's This Is Us, which is easily the next Parenthood in terms of cries and feelings it'll bring out in you, tells the story of several people with the same birthday. It just so happens that three of those people are siblings. The pilot episode, set on the birthdays of Randall (Sterling K. Brown), Kate (Chrissy Metz), Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) also tells the story of the birth of Jack's triplets with wife Rebecca (Mandy Moore). And the twist? Jack and Rebecca's biological kids are Kate and Kevin -- with one baby not making it. So what do they do? Adopt baby who was left at a firehouse... that baby was Randall. Jack and Rebecca's story is set in the past, the 1970s, and Randall, Kevin and Kate's in the present. Meanwhile, Fox's Pitch tells the story of Ginny Baker (Kylie Bunbury), the first female called up to play in Major League Baseball. The young woman is now the pitcher for the San Diego Padres and predictably all eyes are on her -- will she mess it up or be the hero everybody is hoping for? In the pilot, she chokes and viewers see her get counseled by her father (Michael Beach) as well as flashbacks to her childhood playing ball and training with her intense dad. And the twist? That intense dad is dead. D-E-A-D. He died in a car accident before he could see his daughter make it to the MLB. So all that practicing she was doing after her first time up at the pitching mound? She was doing it alone. Two different twists, two different shows, one writer. Did they work? The This Is Us twist means we'll see the siblings growing up, viewers will see how their upbringing and parents directly influences their story and how they react to certain situations. Viewers get to follow the journey of their parents as well as the adult kids. Plus, maybe viewers will be treated to Moore and/or Ventimiglia in old people make-up. It's an interesting take on the beloved family drama format. Regarding the twist, Moore assured E! News the parental reveal was it. "The show moving forward is not some crazy, convoluted twisty -- it's not Lost, which I loved," she said. Fogelman told reporters at TCA that he has a plan for the show. "When we sold the show, we had a whole plan for the series before. When it was written, it wasn't like we are just going to make the pilot and then kind of figure it out if we get lucky enough to get on TV. John Glenn and I describe it as, like, a dramedy version of Lost where you have to understand how everyone's connected and then kind of explore these people as they move forward," he said. He continued, "So they're interconnected, Milo and Mandy's storyline jumps around in time. You can see that. There's going to be different looks we play with. And the only way I can describe it is I sometimes think about the fact that I have a great-great-grandfather out there somewhere who I never met nor do I know his name. But in his own way, he's kind of affected my life because he raised my grandparents who raised my parents who have raised me." As for Pitch's dead ghost dad twist will likely provide insight into Ginny's mindset and tell you more about her past... but that could have been done with just straight flashbacks. Do we viewers need to see her talking to her dead dad all the time? This is now the second Fox show doing a ghost in somebody's head story. One more and it's officially a trend. "We're dealing in sports, and we're dealing in drama and human drama. I think surprises are good when they're not just there to be a surprise, but they also kind of change the lens through which you're watching the show. I think in the case of this show, what happens at the end of the pilot isn't just a kind of twist or surprise," Fogelman told reporters at TCA about Pitch. "I think then you can go back and think, 'Oh, I get this girl in a different way right now. I get what Kylie's character is going through in our journey. If I was to rewatch the pilot again, I would now understand the intensity of the pressure was different than I even knew at the beginning." Did they really work? Sure, they surprised the viewer, but time will tell which truly pays off. This Is Us airs Tuesdays, 10 p.m. on NBC. Pitch airs Thursdays, 9 p.m. on Fox. (Eonline)

Who's Dead? How to Get Away with Murder's Newest Mystery Is Going to Break Our Hearts. Who could be under that sheet that caused Viola Davis to cry so hard? (Side note: That was some phenomenal acting; Viola's worth every damn penny ABC is paying her.) We'll have to wait until episode nine to find out, but we will get clues as to who it could be each week until then. "Every week we're going to see another person alive, so each week you can have your bingo board and cross a character off that list," creator Pete Nowalk told E! News at a special screening of the episode. "I'm not going to tell you all the characters it could be -- you have to do all that work on your own -- but each week we'll turn over a new card." The writer's room is on episode eight right now, which means there's only a week or two until they write the character's untimely demise. "That's a thing I've been putting off for as long as I could because it was something we set in motion in May with the writer's room and it's finally coming to fruition in a way that's really horrible for everyone on the show." Take star Conrad Ricamora's word for it: "Oh God, it makes me get choked up," he revealed. "It's heartbreaking! And I think it's going to surprise people. It's not going to be what people think but it's heartbreaking." So what the heck are we supposed to do now? Well, Nowalk hopes you consider carefully all the clues the show leaves behind. "Each episode you'll find out a little bit more about [what happened]," he teased. "Did Annalise do this to herself? Is this a surprise to her? Is she in control here or is she not in control? And I think those are the the fun questions I want people to ask." How to Get Away With Murder airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on ABC. (Eonline)

Secrets and Lies Stars Promise You'll Have a Different Theory Every Week. Think you'll figure out the killer from the first episode of Secrets and Lies' fun, juicy second season? Well, if you do guess correctly, you'll have done better than stars Juliette Lewis and Michael Ealy. "We didn't know until the finale," Ealy tells E! News of the moment he finally learned who was responsible for the murder of his on-screen wife, played by Jordana Brewster. "We could not guess! ... Every week you have a different theory." Lewis agrees -- you'll think the killer is someone different every week. "Here's the way this series is, which is really fun -- nobody's all good and nobody's all bad, hence the title Secrets and Lies," she tells us. "This season is even more juicy." The second season of ABC's mystery series follows Det. Andrea Cornell's (Lewis) investigation into the murder of Kate Warner (Brewster), the wife of prominent North Carolina attorney Eric Warner (Ealy). While the grieving husband is the first suspect (as in any crime investigation), soon Eric's wealthy family (finance magnate father John, played by Terry O'Quinn; criminal attorney sister Amanda, played by Mekia Cox; underachieving little brother Patrick, played by Charlie Barnett) comes under suspicion. In the process of attempting to prove his innocence, Eric learns that his family and wife aren't necessarily what he thought they were. "The crew was so into the show that every week people came to me w a different theory. I think the audience will do the exact same thing," Ealy says. Secrets and Lies premieres Sunday, Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. on ABC. (Eonline)

The Couple From How to Get Away With Murder's Devastating Breakup Speaks Out. Say it ain't so! It was a somewhat tame season three premiere of How to Get Away With Murder (well, by HTGAWM standards) since it had to catch us up with where everyone in the Keating 5 is now that school has started again and they've all inexplicably managed to pass their classes and move on to their second year of law school. Well, it WAS tame until two major bombshells dropped on us in the last five minutes of the episode, leaving us reeling. Not only did we get introduced to the major mystery of the season -- who is on that gurney that caused Annalise to be that upset??? -- but we also saw the show's best couple, Connor (Jack Falahee) and Oliver (Conrad Ricamora), break up. Coliver, no! E! News caught up with both Falahee and Ricamora as well as showrunner Pete Nowalk, and trust us: They're not pleased about the breakup either. "It makes me sad because I think it's pretty compelling that Connor can find it in himself to forgive Oliver for that betrayal. I also think it's a little careless, maybe, of Connor because Oliver in that scene is correct -- that's not an indication of a good, healthy relationship so they clearly have some stuff to work through," Falahee told us. "I think we'll see that tension permeate throughout the season because Oliver does start to work with Annalise and it's never great when you're working in close proximity with your ex." Ricamora could understand Oliver's reasoning behind the breakup. "I think Oliver senses something is off here. Why does he come home and Connor finds out that Oliver's been lying to him this whole time and is just okay with it? Is it because he has so much guilt from keeping all these secrets? The truth isn't coming out directly but it is going to come out sideways and it's coming out in that last scene, because he feels that something is not right here," Ricamora said. He also understands Oliver's frame of mind. "When you go through a big life change, you reevaluate who you are and it forces you to reevaluate the people you're close to. I think that's what Oliver's going through," he added. Nowalk said something similar. "He really feels like he has to grow a little bit and be on his own. While our [main] characters have been through some major changes, maybe Connor didn't realize that Oliver was going through some too," he told us. "I think he's really coming into his own. And I will say this for Coliver: we're not going to take this breakup in a very typical way. They're still going to stay in each other's lives. They obviously now work together, they still live together, so it's been really fun to watch and write a breakup that is twisty in emotional ways." Plus, never give up the hope that they'll eventually be able to rekindle their romance. "I think there's always hope for them. I think these are two people who are really good together," Nowalk said. "I never thought they would see each other again past the pilot, but I just really liked their chemistry! And that's a credit to Jack and Conrad. For me, I've got to believe there's hope. I'm a fan of Coliver just like everyone else." Said Falahee, "Yeah, I mean there could be [hope] if they both stay alive!" How to Get Away With Murder airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on ABC. (Eonline)

Pitch Premieres With a Twist -- We're Not Talking About That Screball. We need to talk about that Pitch twist, and we don't mean Ginny Baker's (Kylie Bunbury) screwball pitch. Here is your one and only spoiler warning. Yes, we need to talk about the revelation that Ginny's dad (Michael Beach) is dead. He died in a car accident and Ginny has just been imagining him. That pitching practice after she choked? She was alone. And for those keeping track at home, Pitch comes from Dan Fogelman, who also delivered NBC's This Is Us and that big twist. "We're dealing in sports, and we're dealing in drama and human drama. I think surprises are good when they're not just there to be a surprise, but they also kind of change the lens through which you're watching the show. I think in the case of this show, what happens at the end of the pilot isn't just a kind of twist or surprise," Fogelman told reporters at TCA. "I think then you can go back and think, 'Oh, I get this girl in a different way right now. I get what Kylie's character is going through in our journey. If I was to rewatch the pilot again, I would now understand the intensity of the pressure was different than I even knew at the beginning." Fogelman teased going forward you will see more of Ginny's past -- and the past of other characters. "Part of the character is we're dealing we have a device set up in the pilot where you're kind of going back in time and looking at Ginny's life previous, and that's a device that's going to carry in different ways as we go into series," he said. "You're going to be kind of flashing back on Kylie's life in different areas, as well as other characters, as we go further into series." Pitch also stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Ali Larter, Mo McRae, Mark Consuelos, Dan Lauria, Meagan Holder and Tim Jo. Pitch airs Thursdays, 9 p.m. on Fox. (Eonline)

Get Ready for a Huge American Horror Story: Roanoke Twist. American Horror Story: Roanoke has been shrouded in mystery, intentionally, but that's about to change. In the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly featuring AHS, American Crime Story, Scream Queens and Feud mastermind Ryan Murphy on the cover, the Emmy-winning TV guru spilled the beans on some key points about what's ahead in the sixth season of the FX hit. "I was just sort of bored, and I wanted to reinvent the form," Murphy said of the new reality TV-esque style of the new season featuring My Roanoke Nightmare, a fictional reenactment show. There won't be super-sized episodes. It's stripped down. The villains this year, including Kathy Bates' the Butcher and her son Ambrose (Wes Bentley) will be joined by Piggy Man -- a figure discussed during the first season of American Horror Story -- and the nurses. And then there's the American Horror Story: Freak Show connection. Viewers will learn the origins of Dandy Mott's (Finn Wittrock) family and their ties to Roanoke. If you've felt the ick factor wasn't really up to par to seasons past, take note: "If you ever wanted to see how you do a human disemboweling, watch episode four and you'll learn a lot," Murphy told EW. Gross. If that weren't enough, get this: everything is about to change. "Starting in episode six the show has a huge turn, and the thing that you think you're watching is not what you're watching," Murphy teased. As for future seasons, while it has yet to be officially renewed, Murphy said he's got irons in the fire -- a concept for season seven and he's already been working on season eight with a writer. "It's my secret season," he said. "I've been working with a writer on a season that only he and I know." Murphy noted he doesn't know when it will air and he's been working on it on the sly. "It's one person writing all episodes. The whole show has been a great joy to me because it's an experiment." American Horror Story: Roanoke airs Wednesdays, 10 p.m. on FX. (Eonline)

ITV Orders Second Season of 'Victoria'. The co-production with Masterpiece on PBS, where the first season debuts in January, stars Jenna Coleman. ITV is bringing back Victoria for a second season. ITV's head of drama Polly Hill and director of television Kevin Lygo announced the news on Friday. The drama from screenwriter Daisy Goodwin and producer Mammoth Screen stars Jenna Coleman as the young queen alongside Tom Hughes as Prince Albert. It launched at the end of August and averaged 7.7 million consolidated viewers. This makes it the top-rated ITV drama of the year so far. Victoria is a co-production with Masterpiece on PBS, with Rebecca Eaton serving as executive producer. It premieres on PBS on Jan. 15. Lygo said: "Mammoth and Daisy Goodwin have brought the characters so vividly to life in this series, and we're thrilled with the reception for Victoria. We're pleased to be able to confirm that Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes will return to continue the story." Goodwin said: "Even though she reigned in the 19th century, Victoria is a heroine for our times. In the next series she faces the very modern dilemma of how to juggle children with her husband and her job. As Victoria will discover, it's hard to be a wife, a mother and ruler of the most powerful nation on earth!" Timmer said: "Following the audience response to Victoria we are delighted that the extraordinary Jenna Coleman will be returning to her throne for a second series. The next few years of Victoria's reign are packed full of extraordinary real life events, with constitutional crises, scandals at court and personal challenges aplenty for the queen and Prince Albert." Comedy Central's 'The Meltdown' to End After 3 Seasons. The decision to end the show comes on the heels of the announcement that the live show will wrap its six-year run. The Meltdown With Jonah and Kumail is coming to an end. The upcoming third season of the Comedy Central series will be its last, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The news comes on the heels of Thursday's announcement by hosts Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani that the live stand-up show on which the series is based will end its run next month. In addition to a lengthy post on The Meltdown's website, Nanjiani opened up about the decision to pull the plug in a series of tweets Thursday. The final live show, which takes place Wednesdays at the Nerdist Showroom at Los Angeles' Meltdown Comics, is set for Oct. 19. The third and final season of the Comedy Central series will kick off on Sept. 27 and wrap on Nov. 16. Ray and Nanjiani exec produce the series with Emily Gordon, Ben Stiller, Stuart Cornfeld, Debbie Liebling, Mike Rosenstein and Jonas Larsen. "As the live show is coming to an end, we've mutually agreed to make this the third and final season of The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail," Comedy Central said in a statement. "We look forward to working with Jonah, Kumail and Emily on future projects." Over the years, The Meltdown welcomed an impressive lineup of celebrity guests including Marc Maron, Nick Offerman, T.J. Miller, Thomas Middleditch, Jenny Slate, Paul Scheer, Chelsea Peretti, Jim Gaffigan, Adam Pally, Hannibal Buress, Fred Armisen and John Mulaney, among others. The live show was famed for welcoming stand-up comics in the fly, most notably Robin Williams and Louis C.K. The weekly live show began in 2010, before Comedy Central picked it up to series in 2013. The series ran for three eight-episode seasons, most recently earning a renewal in Nov. 2015. Since the series' debut, Nanjiani has gone onto fame as one of the stars of the acclaimed HBO comedy Silicon Valley. His other credits include The X-Files revival and the upcoming film Fist Fight. Ray, whose credits include The Soup and Maron, is next to set to host Netflix's Mystery Science Theater 3000 revival. For Comedy Central, the end of The Meltdown follows the cancellation of The Nightly Show in September, as well as the end of Key & Peele-- which won an Emmy Sunday -- in 2015. Amy Schumer also recently announced that, although her sketch series Inside Amy Schumer has been renewed for a fifth season, it will not be back for the "foreseeable future." Earlier this week, the Viacom-owned cable network ordered Moshe Kasher's Problematic to series. (Hollywood Reporter)
