State Route 264 improvement project begins near US 191 Junction Monday (Sept.19)
Pilot car in place during operations; please allow for extra time for travel

Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) crews begin work on State Route 264 (mileposts 441 to 450) near the US 191 junction, with paving, widening and construction of bus pullouts and snowplow turnarounds in the project area. During paving operations the roadway will be reduced to one lane of alternating travel from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Fridays beginning Monday (Sept. 19) and continuing weekly until late December.

A pilot car with flaggers will provide alternating access for east- and westbound travel through the construction zone. A 12-foot width restriction will also be in place during operations.
Expect delays during paving. Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction equipment and personnel.
