Neckwear sales to young men are on the rise. According to a women's magazine this is what they might be saying:

Preppy
If he's wearing traditional stripes, he was likely rocking ties before it became a trend. The conservative pattern suggests he's just as reserved in life.

Skinny and textured
Since these ties are cut from a different cloth like leather are hot now, and half the width of regular ones, he wants to stand out from the pack.

Bold pattern
Rich paisley and graphic prints are the domain of high-end designers. This guy is showing that he's willing to drop major coin on little details.

Motifs
Martini glasses, golf balls, if a man's ties aren't serious, neither is he. Putting his hobbies on display sends a laid-back, devil may care message.

Book discussion group to meet The next book up for discussion by the Cochise College Literary Guild is “Spirit Walk,” written by Cochise College instructor Jay Treiber.
