SINGING IN THE CAR
If you want to be a safer driver while you're tooling down the highway with the windows down -- sing while you're cruising. Yes, you may be spending four bucks a gallon, but drivers who sing along to the car radio or music player are safer drivers, according to a recent survey from the University of Sheffield. Why? Music helps to soothe drivers, making them more relaxed and helping them to feel calmer. 63% of drivers who have not had an accident in four or more years say they listen to music while driving. No matter what type of music you choose, you want to be able to sing along without having to think too hard about it.
