Brief closures on Ajo Way scheduled Sunday morning west of Tucson

 
Motorists traveling on State Route 86 (Ajo Way) west of Tucson may encounter delays on the morning of Sunday (Feb. 14) while temporary barrier for utility work is installed on the shoulders.

The work will take place between Camino Verde and Tucson Estates Parkway and will require intermittent full closures of Ajo Way in both directions between 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Delays up to 15 minutes can be expected.

ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
