Lance Bass and husband Michael Turchin are ready for the pitter patter of little feet. "I imagine we would probably start the process early next year," Bass revealed on the "Allegedly" podcast Tuesday. That "process" will include a search for a surrogate, who will either donate the egg or provide the womb for the couple. Bass and Turchin tied the knot in December 2014. "There's an amazing company that a lot of people have been using -- Neil Patrick [Harris] and everyone used this company," Bass, 37, said. "They set you up with a surrogate, and there's all different ways of doing it. Surrogates that you never have to meet, which of course, I want them in my life. I want to know who's donating the egg." He continued, "You can have twins. You can make sure that one is mine and one is Michael's. I mean, there's so much you can do." Bass estimates it costs roughly $50,000 per child. Bass revealed that he and Turchin opted to wait for the best time to have kids -- only to find out there is no perfect time. "There's never a time to really plan to have a kid," he said. "You just gotta jump in." "So I'm excited to start this family, 'cause I think of all of us selfishly want to try to raise the best kid possible, just so we can have a better person in this world, helping out. And so I hope to raise some good kids that will leave a good mark on this world." (Page Six)
Chloe Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham Break Up. After a whirlwind summer, Chloe Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham have broken up. According to multiple reports, the couple has split after being nearly inseparable over the last few months in Los Angeles. At present time, neither have addressed the breakup on social media. Page Six first reported the news. Reps have not returned E! News' requests for comment. Back in May of this year, Moretz finally confirmed that she was in a relationship with Victoria Beckham and David Beckham's son during an appearance on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live. "He's a very good guy. He's a good person. I enjoy hanging out with him," she said coyly. In a subsequent interview with Glamour U.K. magazine, the Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising actress explained that their relationship is "great" but having a relationship in the public eye can be extremely trying at times. "One of the reasons why dating him is great is that we both get what it means to have our lives twisted and torn apart and faked." She added, "Seriously, you don't know how often I'm just described as 'his girlfriend' and you think, 'Well, I've also been acting for 13 years, but don't worry.'" She also shared with InStyle U.K. how dating the Brit is awkward given her level of fame. "You already know what I look like in a bathing suit. You know what I look like in a sex scene. You know what I look like when I say 'I love you' to someone. You've already seen it all." Moretz and Beckham's last public appearance was one month ago, in Los Angeles, at the 2016 Teen Choice Awards. (Eonline)
While Drake gave a touching speech at the VMAs, calling Rihanna "someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old," insiders say he's actually the one who's been holding out. Says a source, "She's always been into him. It's him, not her, who has been backing off the relationship." But now they are on the same page. The pair was "all over each other" at E11even in Miami on Tuesday. "Drake's father [Dennis Graham] was there and has given his blessing to the relationship," says the spy. "As they were snuggling up, Drake's dad was standing on a banquette behind them hugging them." The couple stayed at the club until 4:30?a.m. and were surrounded by their team. "Their security was eyeballing anyone who came near them," says the spy. "It was his security and her security. It was unbelievable, there [were] more than 20." Reps for Rihanna and Drake did not respond to requests for comment. (Page Six)
Jennifer Lopez Shares Heartfelt Message About Juan Gabriel: "Sorry If I Messed Up the Spanish." The world is mourning Juan Gabriel's death, and Jennifer Lopez is the latest star to express her love and gratitude for the singer. J.Lo took to her Instagram to share a message in Spanish about the moments that she shared with the star in Las Vegas. "Watching this great artist #juangabriel's concert which I was with in Las Vegas a couple of years ago...I remember feeling that besides his marvelous talent, what touched me was that his spirit was so generous and that he had a love and grace that was incomparable," she wrote. "I love you and thank you for all that you've given us through your music and life! We're going to miss you a lot, legend! PleaseForgiveMySpanish #SorryIfIMessedUptheSpanish #fromtheheart." But there is no need to apologize, J.Lo. Your message came from your heart and that's what counts! Her ex-husband Anthony also shared the same sentiment as he also shared a post about the iconic star. "Today the world of Latin music has lost a giant, an icon, and a legend that marked my life forever. He is responsible that my career took the route that it did from the very first day," Marc wrote in Spanish. "I am enormously saddened by the loss of one of my heroes. A life bigger than life itself dimmed today, but your music and legacy will stay with us forever. Rest in peace, my light." The news continued to overwhelm the singer when he took the stage hours later, and he couldn't hold back his tears. He posted the moment on his Instagram account and captioned it in Spanish saying, "A night dedicated to my dear brother @soyjuangabriel another angel escaped us...take care of us from wherever you are." Alberto "Juan Gabriel" Aguilera Valadez died Sunday morning of natural causes at his home in Santa Monica, California, just two days after his sold-out show at the Forum in Inglewood, California. He was 66. (Eonline)
When Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian went public with their relationship in January, fans of the famous family gasped in unison. For months-years, really-before news of her coupling with the only Kardashian son, Chyna had been entangled in a complicated, sometimes contentious, relationship with the Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars, including going from Kim Kardashian West's BFF to an outsider of her circle, not to mention sharing a son with Kylie Jenner's on-again, off-again boyfriend, Tyga. And yet, after some initial drama, Chyna and Jenner were taking selfies together on Snapchat within a few months. Now the stars of the upcoming E! reality series Rob & Chyna are exclusively opening up to PEOPLE about reconciling with Kardashian's family, including 19-year-old Jenner. "We've all talked, I've met up with Kylie," says Chyna, 28. "Everybody is mature. We're not holding on to grudges. We've moved on." All things considered, Chyna was understood how her fiance's family reacted to the relationship. "Every family is going to be defensive in the beginning; I don't care who you are or what the situation is-they're going to be protective," she says. "But everything is positive now." And while they're not quite at the point where they'd double date with Jenner and Tyga, 26, Chyna says there's certainly "no animosity" among the two couples. In fact, "everybody is super comfortable," she says. "I feel comfortable with Kylie being around my son, King, and I'm sure Tyga feels comfortable having King around Rob," adds Chyna. And Kardashian, 29, says his relationship with Chyna has actually "brought all of us closer together again." "I see my family on a daily basis," he says. "We all support each other." Keeping Up with the Kardashians has its midseason finale this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, and Rob & Chyna premieres Sept. 11 at 9 p.m. ET, both on E! (People)
Beyonce just scored a huge legal victory -- the judge in that "Lemonade" lawsuit sided with her and tossed the case ... TMZ has learned. The judge said he considered filmmaker Matthew Fulks' argument that "Lemonade" ripped off his work, and decided to toss the case ... according to docs obtained by TMZ. It's unclear why the judge rejected Fulks' suit ... he says he'll dish details later. TMZ broke the story ... Bey was sued by Fulks back in June alleging she jacked several parts of his 2014 movie, "Palinoia" -- using similar images from his short film for the "Lemonade" visual album. Beyonce argued her work depicted a "proud black woman" ... a stark contrast to Fulks' film about a depressed white guy. Make that ... TWO depressed white guys now. (TMZ)
Baylee Curran Slams Chris Brown Supporters Following Alleged Gun Assault: ''I Don't Understand Why He's the Victim.'' The last 24 hours have been quite hectic for both Chris Brown and Baylee Curran. The former beauty pageant contestant and the chart-topping singer were caught in the middle of a huge legal circus yesterday after Curran claimed Brown threatened her with a gun while at his house Sunday. Authorities showed up at Breezy's Tarzana pad to detain the star, who was ultimately arrested and charged for assault with a deadly weapon on Tuesday. He later was released after posting a $250,000 bond. "Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes," Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, tweeted. "Chris is out and well. The allegations against him are demonstrably false #TeamBreezy." Now, Curran has decided to tell more of her side of the story by sitting down with E! News' Ken Baker, to discuss in detail what happened during the alleged altercation, and to voice her discontent with the way things went down. The 24-year-old, who has hung out with Chris "several times before" without incident, says the star pointed a gun at her and no one else in the house after she was seen admiring some jewelry that was being displayed for other people at the house. Curran says things escalated and Chris came in, "and just said, 'I am so sick of you people', took out his gun and said, 'get the F out. I'm going to blow your head off." When asked if his finger was on the trigger, Curran tells us, "I do believe so, that's what made me think he was going to shoot," and states the gun was pointed at her face. Curran also wanted to clear up rumors claiming that she's friends with Brown's ex and mother of his daughter, Nia Guzman. She tells E! News that they don't know each other, and when asked where that rumor started, explains, "I have no idea. There is many false accusations happening at the moment." As for how everything panned out in the public, Curran expresses her frustration with people thinking she's doing all this for publicity, as well as fans painting Breezy as a victim. "I really do understand [why people think I'm doing it for publicity]...I don't understand why he's the victim now. Obviously he has a lot of support, a lot of fans who are going to back him up. I'm just some random girl that wants to be in the limelight. Although if I wanted the limelight in fame, I wouldn't have done it this way." Curran states that she spoke out because "situations happen like this every day and people feel like they cannot come out with their story and they can't stand up for themselves and they can't protect themselves and I feel like if I do this, maybe I can be a role model for the individuals who unfortunately have been through a situation like this before. And I just want people to know they can stand up for themselves." And if Baylee could tell Chris Brown anything right now, it's this: "I would just tell him, he very well knows what he's done. Come out with the truth, and his fans are very forgiving and very supportive. I'm sure they will forgive him for this, but it's not fair for him to make himself the victim when I had a gun to my face." (Eonline)
The woman who accused Chris Brown of pointing a gun at her allegedly wrote a text message shortly after the incident saying she was going to frame Chris with the gun allegation out of revenge ... but she denies sending any such message. TMZ has obtained a copy of the text, sent to an acquaintance named Safari -- no relation to Nicki Minaj's ex. The text was purportedly sent Tuesday at 2:57 AM, shortly after Baylee Curran was kicked out of Chris' house. It reads: "Hey safari don't you know this freak Chris brown is kicking me out of his house because I called his friend jewelry fake can you come get me my Uber is messing up if not I'm going to set him up and call the cops and say that he tried to shoot me and that will teach him a lesson I'm going to set his ass up. Lol come get me." He responded, "Really that's f*** up you ain't going to do that your wrong if you do." We've learned the alleged text is in possession of Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, who's trying to authenticate it. Here's what's interesting. She refers to an Uber "messing up." We've learned the guy who picked her up from Chris' house first called for a Lyft to pick her up but when the driver showed, she was hiding under a car, so the Lyft driver left. How would Safari know that? On the other hand, there's reason to doubt the text. We spoke with Safari, who says Baylee stole his Rolex last year and he hasn't spoken with her since. Why would she text a guy she hasn't spoken to in nearly a year and ask him to pick her up? He also would have a motive to lie since he accused her of stealing ... something she denies. (TMZ)

Leonardo DiCaprio's charity has been urged to repay money linked to a Malaysian fund that backed his feature film "The Wolf of Wall Street." The Justice Department is investigating the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation over its alleged ties to a $3.5 billion embezzlement scandal whose "misappropriated" funds were used to finance the 2013 movie. The Telegraph reported Wednesday that DiCaprio is being called to give the money back. The Justice Department says that certain donations to the environmental charity came directly from the Malaysian sovereign wealth fund IMDB. According to a complaint filed in Los Angeles by the Justice Department, at least $1 billion traceable to the embezzlement scandal was laundered through the U.S. and used to purchase several "assets." The newspaper reported that the IMDB, owned by the Malaysian government, had raised more than $8 billion, but a little less than half of the money was "misappropriated" between 2009 and 2015. Jho Low, a Malaysian businessman and a DiCaprio buddy, is accused of spending a third of the funds on himself. The complaint also alleges that millions were funneled to Riza Aziz, the stepson of the Malaysian prime minister whose production company financed "The Wolf of Wall Street," according to The Telegraph. The rainforest charity, the Bruno Manser Funds, sent a letter to DiCaprio this week calling on him to return the money from those linked with the IMDB. The charity said DiCaprio has an obligation to help stop corruption as a designated UN Messenger of Peace. DiCaprio also skipped a fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate Clinton due to a scheduling conflict, but questions were raised as to whether it had to do with the Malaysian scandal. Rob Lowe Makes Another Sex Tape Ahead of Comedy Central Roast. Rob Lowe knows how to laugh at himself. But that goes without saying, given that the actor willingly signed up to participate in his very own Comedy Central Roast. In the latest promo for Lowe's pre-filmed insult fest, the Parks and Recreation alum makes light of that infamous 1988 sex tape scandal that all but flushed his reputation down the toilet. Pair this with his saxophone-playing character in the 1985 flick St. Elmo's Fire, and you have self-deprecating gold. In the video, the 52-year-old is seen setting up a camera in his bedroom wearing nothing but his birthday suit. Lowe then appears to engage in a particularly NSFW activity, but upon turning around it's revealed that he's merely jamming out on the sax. Oh, Rob. For those unfamiliar with the aforementioned incident known as one of Hollywood's first major sex tape scandals, Lowe was regrettably thrust into the spotlight after footage surfaced of the celeb having sex with two women in an Atlanta hotel room, one of whom was 16-years-old. The West Wing star never faced criminal charges, as the legal age of consent in Georgia is 16. Fast forward a few decades later, and Rob is set to become the latest victim in the popular comedy series. Lowe endured about two hours of a verbal smackdown from a number of fellow stars and close pals that included roast master Jeffrey Ross, singer Jewel, NFL star Peyton Manning, Rob Riggle, David Spade, SNL's Pete Davidson, comedian Nikki Glaser, Lowe's The Outsiders co-star Ralph Macchio, British comedian Jimmy Carr and ultra-conservative politico Ann Coulter. Nothing was off limits during the roast, as the group mocked Lowe for the sex tape as well as his past substance abuse problems, his string of failed television series and his pretty boy looks. The roasters also went after each other with jokes about 9/11, AIDS, Hitler and more. "I'm just glad there's something left of me," Lowe told reporters Saturday evening after the roast. "I think I'm in tatters still up there on that stage. But they were all so funny and I just love a good joke." The Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe airs on Comedy Central on Labor Day at 10 p.m. (Eonline)
It's not too late for Egor Tarabasov to say sorry. On Wednesday, newly single Lindsay Lohan posted a seductive snapshot on Instagram along with a message for her former fiance. "Maybe I go back to blonde? #noboyfriend #stillneedimsorry @terryrichardson #work," she wrote. While Lohan, 30, might be done with the relationship, the actress has yet to part with the rock Tarabasov, 23, gave her when he popped the question. In July, the Russian billionaire was caught on camera grabbing Lohan while they argued during a vacation in Mykonos, Greece, after she tossed his phone from a truck. The "Mean Girls" starlet also accused Tarabasov of attempting to kill her following a massive blowout at her London flat earlier this summer. "No woman can be hit like this and stay with that person if that person isn't prepared to say sorry," Lohan told the Daily Mail in August. The former couple, who got engaged last September, had planned to wed in Italy next year. "We planned to marry in Lake Como next May," she explained. "All I wanted was to get married and settle down. I've always wanted four kids, and Egor and I talked about having a family." (Page Six)
Hailey Baldwin has taken the time to address the plastic surgery rumors that have plagued her in recent years. Talking to ES Magazine, she said: "Everybody literally thinks I've had plastic surgery. My mom's family call her and they're like, 'Did Hailey do her lips? Did she do her nose?' Do people want me to go to a doctor and have them examine my face so they can tell people I haven't? My face has just matured. I grew into my looks. I do look different than I did when I was younger, but it's still the same face." She also opens up about her serious celebrity crush on John Mayer, and why she wants to hold off on dating for now. "I am obsessed with John Mayer. I love him. I just think he's so talented. I have his documentary in my iTunes. I watch it all the time. I know [his 2006 album] Continuum start to finish, every word." Recalling the time she met him, she said: "I was at dinner with Hailee Steinfeld at [LA restaurant] The Nice Guy - which is so bouji and sceney, but they have a phenomenal kale salad - and he pulled Hailee aside to say he'd heard her song and thought her lyrics were awesome. I was digging my nails into her arm, like, 'Oh my goodness, John Mayer told you your music is great?' I was tripping!" If John were to call her up for a date, what would she say? Probably no, due to the fact that she's single right now. "I'm not dating anybody right now. It's not on the cards for me. I'm just trying to handle myself, this lifestyle, this job, the travelling. So the thought of having to be responsible for someone else's feelings? I don't know if I'd be able to." (British Glamour)
Justin Bieber found himself in a pretty embarrassing situation Wednesday as his credit card was declined in Subway. Yep, that's right. Despite being one of the highest paid young celebrities, Biebs was left red faced as he tried to pay for a foot-long sandwich, four bottles of milk and some cookies at a Subway branch in West Hollywood. According to a MailOnline source, the 22 year-old hit-maker was "embarrassingly declined" as his payment failed to go through. But fortunately for him, one of his devout Beliebers came to the rescue and kindly took care of his bill. Let's hope he actually showed a bit of gratitude this time... The Sorry singer disappointed fans a couple of weeks ago as he performed hungover at V Festival. Read GLAMOUR's letter of complaint to the star here. It was reported that his new girlfriend Sofie Richie was waiting in the car during the Sorry singer's awkward Subway encounter. The pair made their relationship public two weeks ago after posting images together on Instagram, causing havoc among fans on social media. Bieber then threatened to delete his account and eventually followed through with it. His ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez also shared her opinions on Bieber's new romance with music legend Lionel Richie's youngest offspring. We can't help but think this is a bit of karma, maybe? Kim Kardashian has spoken about learning to deal with psoriasis. The skin disorder causes red marks to appear on her skin, particularly on her right leg. Wednesday, the 35-year-old revealed how she's learned to embrace it on her app. "I don't even really try to cover it that much anymore," she said. "Sometimes I just feel like it's my big flaw and everyone knows about it, so why cover it?" "Everyone with psoriasis has different symptoms; sometimes the rashes are itchy, sometimes they're flaky. Mine flares up from time to time for different reasons," she explained. 'I'm always hoping for a cure, of course, but in the meantime, I'm learning to just accept it as part of who I am." Currently there is no cure for psoriasis but Kim manages it by monitoring her diet, getting cortisone shots and applying cortisone cream every evening before bed. Kim revealed her psoriasis around five years ago on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Her mum, Kris Jenner, started showing symptoms at 30-years-old around the same time as Kim. So... they think they can dance with the stars, huh? Laurie Hernandez and Ryan Lochte only just got back from the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janiero two weeks ago -- to devastatingly different results -- but they couldn't stay out of competition mode for long! The gold medalists are just two of the 13 celebs fighting it out on Dancing with the Stars this Fall... and the grueling rehearsal process has already begun. As you may have seen, ABC brought Cheryl Burke out of DWTS retirement in order to give Ryan a more high-profile pro... but how does she feel about dancing alongside the shamed swimmer? Well, according to her blog post on Wednesday, the two-time Mirrorball Trophy champ is happy to provide a distraction for her partner, saying: "I've been paired with Olympian Ryan Lochte and I couldn't be happier. I've worked with athletes like Chad Ochocinco and Emmitt Smith in the past and I've always been impressed by their work ethic -- and Ryan is no different. He shows up on time, ready to work, takes constructive criticism well and wants to keep practicing until he's perfect. The Olympics are over, so we luckily don't have to balance our rehearsals with Ryan's training schedule. But with everything going on in his life right now, there is a lot on his mind. I'm really glad that I can be there now as a distraction. The show has given him something else to focus on: getting ready to dance in front of millions of people. I think this opportunity came at the perfect time for him. He's a competitor and loves competition and I think it's great that he has a new goal to tackle. I can't wait to get out there and help him become the best dancer he can be." If she's already talking about his Rio lie, then hopefully that means the show will actually address it as well, and not just sweep it under rug. On the other hand, 16-year-old Laurie and pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy are purely focused on winning. And judging by her Day 1 ballroom routine... we think they stand a pretty strong chance! Just look at how AH-Mazingly she's nailing the complicated choreography (and subsequent secret handshake)!! YAS!!! Plus, Val and Laurie came up with #TeamValaur as their team name, which means this teenager is probably a Pokemon Go fan as well as a national hero -- could she get any cuter?! Who do U want to see shine when Dancing with the Stars premieres Monday, September 12 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC?? (Perez Hilton)

Britney Spears' Glory: Don't Call It a Comeback. It's Britney Spears' world, and we're just living in it. Six days after releasing her ninth studio album, Glory, the pop star appeared on NBC's Today Thursday to promote her new music. Appearing backstage at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas (where she's taken up residency through 2017), Spears explained how Glory came to be. Glory has, by and large, earned raves from critics, with The Telegraph calling it a "masterpiece." People deemed it Spears' "most adventurous album in a decade," and Vanity Fair argued that the 12-track collection is "as fresh and vibrant as most mainstream pop releases of 2016." Rolling Stone gave Spears kudos, saying, "Glory is a welcome comeback for a true pop visionary nobody expected to stick around long enough for a third album, much less a ninth. Has any star pulled off as many comebacks as Britney? For this girl it's the non-comeback records that are the exception, because people have kept foolishly trying to write her off since the TRL days." Spears, however, was quick to dismiss the notion that she is in the midst of a "comeback," so to speak. "I don't see it as a comeback. I think I've never really left," the "Make Me..." singer, 34, told Natalie Morales in Thursday's pre-taped interview. "I've always been here. So, just like maybe a reinvention of myself and just a different time in my life -- a really good, glorious time." Glory is the follow-up to Spears' 2013 album Britney Jean, which spawned two singles, "Work Bitch" and "Perfume." To her dismay, the offering was seen as both a critical and commercial disappointment. "Pretty Girls," her 2015 collaboration with rapper Iggy Azalea, proved to be yet another misfire for Spears, a proven hit maker. Now, with fans and critics going gaga for the songs on Glory, Spears has wisely added several of the new tracks to her Piece of Me show. The singer's run is set to end in February, but there's always a chance she'll extend her residency (as she's done in the past). After all, she loves living in Sin City. "I honestly do," Spears told Today. "It's like my second home. I'm here for six weeks, then I go home for six weeks. It's amazing." (Eonline)
Chris Brown Drops New Single ''What Would You Do?'' Hours After Being Released From Jail. Less than a day after being arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Chris Brown is back to focusing on his music. The singer took to Instagram to tell his fans in a video that he's sick of dealing with the latest drama and is putting all of his energy into new tunes for fans around the world to enjoy. "You know all this bulls--t and everything going on man, I'm just gonna turn the other cheek and drop some music," he explained. And that's precisely what he did. Earlier this evening, on Brown's official SoundCloud page, he dropped a new track entitled, "What Would You Do?" And while the title seems to hint at what allegedly went on between him and former beauty queen Baylee Curran Monday night and Tuesday morning, the lyrics don't seem to point to being related to the incident. "I got some questions for you / I need some answers from you / What do you do? / Fighting for your life when no one's on your side / I can't stand to lose," he's heard singing in the upbeat track. Earlier, Brown was released from jail after posting $250,000 bail, according to Los Angeles County jail records. "Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes," Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, tweeted. "Chris is out and well. The allegations against him are demonstrably false #TeamBreezy." (Eonline)
The Black Eyed Peas Enlist Kendall Jenner for ''Where Is the Love'' Remake. The Black Eyed Peas first released "Where Is the Love" with Justin Timberlake following the 2001 terrorist attacks, but after a year of tragedy, gun violence and hate crimes, they're ready to bring it back. Will.I.Am, Apl.De.Ap and Taboo will join up again with Fergie as well as several other big names in the industry for a remake of the 2003 hit, which will be released on Thursday. Kendall Jenner is just one of the celebs who took part in the star-studded music video for the song. She joins people like Jaden Smith, DJ Khaled, Usher, Jamie Foxx, Diddy and more. In the promotional teaser for the video, released by attn: Will.I.Am explains, "My grandma said a prayer and said that we shouldn't stay home and be afraid when you're being called on to do as much healing as you can with the gift that was given to us." After a year of "separatism" and "racism" following events like the Orlando, Paris and Belgium shootings as well as innocent deaths like that of Alton Sterling, BEP found themselves asking, "Where is the love?" And thus, 13 years later, they've decided their gift is to bring the song back into light. "Everyone was calling on us, like, we need that song again," Will.I.Am said. He also explained how he hopes it will affect the generation of millennials. "The millennials are powerful, I don't think they realize just how powerful they are," he explained. "I hope this song inspires the millennials to go all out, scream from the tallest mountain, care like your freedom depends on it, pay attention like that is at risk." (Eonline)
Barbra Streisand Bound for Seventh U.K. No. 1 with 'Encore,' Britney Spears' 'Glory' in Runner-Up Position. Barbra Streisand should be in seventh heaven this weekend: the icon of the screen, stage and recording studio is on track to top the Official U.K. Albums Chart for the seventh time. Streisand's 35th studio album Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway (Columbia) pulled out in front at the midway point of the U.K. chart week. The LP, which includes renditions of songs from major Broadway shows, hit No. 1 on the Chart Update with a 6,000 combined sales advantage over its closest competitor, Britney Spears' Glory (RCA), according to the Official Charts Company. If Spears misses out on top spot, it'll be her fifth collection to do so following Baby One More Time (1999), Oops! I Did It Again (2000), Greatest Hits - My Prerogative (2004) and Blackout (2007). Britney has cracked the U.K. top 10 on seven occasions, but surprisingly never landed a No. 1. The top five at the halfway stage is completed by Frank Ocean's Blonde (Boys Don't Cry) at No. 3, Dolly Parton's Pure & Simple (RCA Nashville) at No. 4, and Rick Astley's former chart-topper 50 (BMG) is surging to No. 5. Hip-hop veterans De La Soul could have their first top 10 album in a quarter century with And The Anonymous Nobody (AOI), currently at No. 8. The trio's last entry to scale the top 10 was De La Soul Is Dead, which reached No. 7 back in 1991. Meanwhile, The Chainsmokers and Halsey are edging closer to the U.K. singles chart summit. The collaborative track "Closer" (Disruptor), a No. 1 hit in the U.S. and Australia, is 1,900 combined sales ahead of the second-placed song on the U.K. Chart Update, DJ Snake ft. Justin Bieber's "Let Me Love You" (Interscope). The top 5 is rounded out by Major Lazer, Bieber and MØ's "Cold Water" (Because Music) at No. 3, Calum Scott's "Dancing On My Own" (Instrumental) at No. 4 and Twenty "Heathens" (Atlantic) at No. 5. The Official U.K. Singles and Albums Charts are published late Friday, local time. (Billboard)
'Fade' Video Director Says 70s Porn, Grace Jones, 'The Fly' & 'Dancing With the Stars' Inspired Kanye West Video. It might shock you to hear this, but the 24-year-old director of Kanye West's soft-core "Fade" video spent time "researching" the look of the clip by trolling Pornhub for adult films from the 1970s and 80s. Young gun Eli Russell Linnetz -- who is in the midst of a one-year "artist residency" with West -- told the New York Times that his boss surprised him last week when he called to say that the video -- which Linnetz was not done with yet -- would be debuting at the 2016 MTV VMAs. To recap: the video in which G.O.O.D Music singer Teyana Taylor does a seductive workout routine in a barely there leotard and then turns into a cat and makes love to her fiance Cleveland Cavs forward Iman Shumpert in the shower and ends up in a field of sheep (with a baby) was inspired by old-school porn. But also a lot of other things, according to Linnetz, who is also working on Yeezy's current Saint Pablo tour and its signature merchandise. "I just got an email from Kanye superlate at night saying, 'I want you to direct 'Fade.' Space, space, space. 'Teyana Taylor dancing. Iman Shumpert, taking thousands of years of culture and throwing them into a single frame or moment," West wrote to his protege. "That's our approach whether it's 'Famous' or 'Fade' or fashion or the tour." Certainly not the most detailed creative brief for Linnetz, a University of Southern California grad who served as an assistant to director/playwright David Mamet when he was 15. Linnetz said he met West when he was 17 after a friend cold e-mailed the rapper about his DONDA creative agency, which sparked a fruitful friendship and creative partnership. "If someone is willing to put in the work and execute and deliver, he doesn't think about their age," he said of West. As for the video, Linnetz said that the film Flashdance was an obvious reference, but so too were Ohio Players album covers from the 1970s, iconic Grace Jones boxing images by Jean-Paul Goude and the aforementioned porn clips. "I pulled a lot of references from '70s and '80s porn, just on Pornhub. That was less about the imagery and more about the texture of the skin, the oiliness," he explained. Mix in some references from John Carpenter's film The Fly, and then a few inspirations that you might not immediately think of. "There's also things like Dancing With the Stars, the Olympics and the N.B.A. championship," Linnetz said. "I brought on Guillermo Navarro, who shot Jackie Brown, as the cinematographer. Renelou Padora did the styling, and then Tino [Schaedler] did the art direction. He's done everything from Harry Potter movies to Daft Punk videos. It all seems fragmented, and then it's all boiled down to this one image because Kanye is so good about overseeing the people involved." Linnetz said West was on set the entire time and "super involved" in every detail, down to props and whether they should use weights from 1976 or 1981. Though he initially said he wasn't into doing "a random video of a girl dancing," once he met Taylor his mind was put at ease when she said simply, "I got this." The best part? This isn't the end of the story. "Kanye and I had worked a lot with prosthetics, with people who work for [famed special effects guru] Rick Baker, who did some of the most famous effects of our time," he said of the confounding cat mask Taylor models at the end of the video. "We had worked with those people on 'Famous,' so we wanted to continue that language in a new way. The last image is foreshadowing bigger things to come, which you guys will find out about soon enough." Read the entire New York Times interview here. (Billboard)
Johnny Winter's Guitars to Go Under the Hammer in New York. A Manhattan auction will feature the guitars, song notebooks and memorabilia of the late Texas blues legend Johnny Winter. Guernsey's auction house says features of the sale, on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, include five uniquely shaped Gibson Firebirds. Winter got one of them from Muddy Waters. Another lot includes a simple ukulele. Family photos show Winter with the instrument at around age 10. Organizers say fans can bid on jewelry, scarves and hats - "sweat stains and all." There's even a clump of his beard. The memorabilia also includes "extremely rare" rock and blues posters and vintage photos. The collection is being sold for Winter's family. The auction will be held at the Gibson Brands New York Showroom. Internet bidding also will be offered. (Billboard)
Ringo Starr's Copy of the 'White Album' Officially Most Expensive Record Sold at Auction. Peace and love... and mega-bucks. According to the 2017 edition of the Guinness World Records Beatles drummer Ringo Starr's copy of the White Album is officially the most expensive LP ever sold at auction. Guinness confirmed that a December 2015 sale at Julien's Auction House set a new standard for album sales when the first-edition copy with the catalog number 0000001 -- which was kept in a vault in perfect condition by Starr for more than 35 years -- went for a whopping $790,000. That price crushed the previous record, for an Elvis Presley acetate that sold for $305,000. Ringo's copy of the Beatles' 1968 classic was sold as part of a three-day auction of items owned by the band's drummer and his wife, Barbara Bach, with proceeds going to his social welfare charity, the Lotus Foundation. The name of the buyer was not disclosed. A few other Guinness records in the new edition: The Weeknd scored the most streamed album on Spotify in one year, current (unique listeners) when his Beauty Behind the Madness rang up 60 million listeners between December 1, 2014 and December 1, 2015. The smash single "Can't Feel My Face" had 448,334,867 streams alone by January 13. The Weeknd also scored a record for the most consecutive weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 by a solo male artist when he logged 45 consecutive weeks inside the Top 10 between March 7, 2015 and January 9, 2016 with the singles "Earned It," "Can't Feel My Face," and "The Hills." David Bowie made his posthumous return to the Guinness pages after a decade-long absence when 19 of his albums hit the UK Top 100 -- ten of which hit the UK Top 40 -- earning a record for the most simultaneous entries on the UK album charts. Swizz Beatz Defends Alicia Keys After Makeup-Free VMAs Appearance. Swizz Beatz loves Alicia Keys, with or without makeup. The music producer threw his support behind his wife after she took criticism for not wearing make-up to Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards. The 37-year-old music-maker (real name Kasseem Dean) took to his Instagram account to deflate the opinions of Keys' detractors. "Y'all gotta think about that. This is deep," he says at the opening of his emotional video. "Somebody's sitting at home mad, because somebody didn't wear makeup on their face... not your face, but they didn't put makeup on their face, because they just didn't feel like wearing makeup." He adds, "But you're mad because that person didn't put makeup to please you? What sh*t is this?" he continued. "Because you can do whatever you want to do. Think about it... this is deep." He captioned his piece-to-camera: "Think about it... this is deep. #naturallove I'm not mad I'm just saying." Keys defended herself from the online barbs -- which ranged from shock to misogynist and offensive remarks -- following her appearance sans makeup at the annual VMAs. She tweeted a snap of herself, again fresh-faced and blowing a kiss. The caption reads, "Y'all, me choosing to be makeup free doesn't mean I'm anti-makeup. Do you!" (Billboard)
Perrie Edwards To Dish Dirt On Zayn Malik On Little Mix's Next Album -- Get The Scoop! Sweet, sweet revenge! It's been more than a year since Zayn Malik ended his engagement to Perrie Edwards, and it seems the Little Mix member may be ready to talk about her breakup with the former One Direction singer -- specifically, on the girl group's next album! As you may know, Zayn and Perrie split last summer and while both parties had their own opinions after the breakup, they both eventually moved on and found new loves. Despite the singers moving on, it sounds like the blonde beauty might revisit her past by opening up a bit about her very public split. We're not entirely shocked to learn this since Malik was accused of doing the same thing for Mind of Mine AND used girls oddly similar to Perrie in his videos! The songstress' bandmate, Jesy Nelson, chatted with The Sun recently and opened up about singing about past experiences: "I think it's always easier to write about your experiences through music because more people can relate to them anyway." Nelson went on to hint that there may be some Zayn dirt dropped in the near future. She added: "It is a lot more mature, this album. There's a lot of things that have been said that perhaps nobody has heard yet, if you know what I mean." Of course Jesy was asked if fans would know exactly who the ladies are singing about, to which the 25-year-old revealed: "I think it's pretty obvious. I think all the songs are very relatable to girls, and our fan base in general." YAAAAAS! It's not that we want things to get personal or ugly between the celebs, but if someone's offering up some scandalous deets, we certainly won't say no to them! (Perez Hilton)
Sad day for Woodstock era rock fans -- Graham Nash just pissed all over your dreams and threw a shovel full o' dirt on the grave of Crosby, Stills & Nash. We got the Hall of Famer at LAX and asked if there's even a sliver of a chance he could put aside his bitter feud with David Crosby. After all, their former bandmate, Neil Young, is playing the Desert Trip (aka "Oldchella") -- so maybe a surprise reunion's in the works? Graham's answer was short and so NOT sweet. He's 74-year-old, but it's a feisty AF 74. (TMZ)

Emma Watson Is in Character as Belle in New Sneak Peek From the Live-Action Beauty and the Beast Movie. Prepare to be enchanted. Disney released a new sneak peek from the upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast Thursday, and it's giving fans an even closer look at what to expect from Belle (Emma Watson) and Beast (Dan Stevens). The behind-the-scenes footage features Belle and Beast in character at a cast table read, as well as director Bill Condon explaining why now is the right time to reboot the classic tale in such an updated way. Like the teaser trailer that was previously released, this sneak peek gives fans a closer look at some of the castle's most magical rooms, including the ballroom. It also shows off the new versions of Cogsworth and Lumière (voiced by Sir Ian McKellen and Ewan McGregor, respectively). The initial teaser trailer didn't show much overall, but at the same time it managed to show us everything. As a time lapse, the teaser revealed how the famed castle started with such grandeur and eventually decayed into a dilapidated state. It also gave us a first look hearing of Lumière and Cogsworth, who aptly noticed Bell walking in. "Look! A girl!" Disney continues to conceal Beast in all sneak peeks and teaser trailers, but we did catch a silhouette of the shut-in character as he turns on a light at the top of the castle. It looks like we'll just have to wait until March 17, 2017, to get a real look at what's coming our way. (Eonline)
Scarlett Johansson is filming a new movie in the Hamptons, which is being staged to look like Miami Beach. The actress is currently shooting "Rock That Body," an R-rated comedy from Sony about a group of women who get together for a bachelorette party, when things go off the rails and a male stripper ends up dead at their beach house. It is already being dubbed "The Female Hangover." Sources tell us that producers have rented a waterfront house "that looks like Miami," on Peconic Bay in Southampton. The mansion is owned by furniture and interior designers Richard and Barbara Rubens, and decorated almost entirely in white. It's certainly convenient for Johansson, who has a home in Amagansett. The movie, also starring Demi Moore, Kate McKinnon, Zoe Kravitz and Ty Burrell, started filming this week. We're told they will be heading to Miami to shoot for a few days, even though Florida has just declared a state of emergency over fears of a tropical storm strengthening into a hurricane. (Page Six)
Joseph Baena is proving to be a chip off the old block -- at least when it comes to playing The Terminator. Arnold Schwarzenegger's son is the spitting image of his dad ... so no big surprise he's breaking into acting. Joseph stars in a 2-minute short film directed by his friend, Ben Hess ... it's a shot-by-shot remake of the end of the famous bar scene in "T2: Judgment Day." We think he'll be back. (TMZ)
'Moulin Rouge!' Stage Musical in the Works. Baz Luhrmann's 2001 movie, which was nominated for eight Oscars, starred Ewan McGregor as a young poet who falls in love with a courtesan, played by Nicole Kidman. Come what may, Moulin Rouge! is making its way to the stage. The Baz Luhrmann movie-musical is being developed as a new stage musical, Global Creatures announced Thursday. Alex Timbers (Oh, Hello, Peter and the Starcatcher, Rocky) will helm the production, featuring a book by screenwriter and playwright John Logan (Red, I'll Eat You Last: A Chat with Sue Mengers). A timeline and opening venue will be announced at a later date. Set in the Montmartre Quarter of Paris, France, the Twentieth Century Fox title starred Ewan McGregor as Christian, a young poet who falls in love with Satine, a cabaret actress and courtesan. John Leguizamo and Jim Broadbent were also featured in the semi-jukebox musical, which included renditions of songs by Elton John, Madonna, The Police and Queen, among others. The film made its world premiere at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival and earned over $179 million worldwide. It won two Oscars out of its eight nominations, including best picture. "I first encountered Alex Timbers through the remarkable and inventive production of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and the brilliance of Here Lies Love. I immediately recognized the young director's creative spirit and felt we shared similar sensibilities and instincts," said Luhrmann, the film's director, producer and co-writer, said in a statement. "So I'm tremendously happy to celebrate that Moulin Rouge! will be under his direction and that the book will be the creation of the gifted Tony Award-winning playwright John Logan whose writing I also admire deeply. It's immensely gratifying to know that a new wave of artists will be leading Moulin Rouge! into its rightful theatrical realm." (Hollywood Reporter)
Venice: Amy Adams Talks Anxiety and Destiny in 'Arrival'. "Playing a mathematician and a physicist is a bit far from an archer," Jeremy Renner joked, referring to his role as Hawkeye in the Avengers films. "So I thought there's a pretty great challenge in that." In Denis Villeneuve's latest big-budget thriller, Arrival, Amy Adams stars as Dr. Louise Banks, a genius linguist recruited by the U.S. military to understand the language of alien visitors who have set up camp in Montana, as well as 11 other locations around the planet. She works alongside a team played by Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker as they rush to discover the purpose of the alien invaders. But the more they uncover, the more they realize that the real threat may not be coming from the mysterious visitors, but rather from the human race itself. Because the chronology of the film is nonlinear, Adams was asked if she would be scared to know her own destiny in life. "Yes. Maybe it would calm me down, but I sort of cling to anxiety for some reason in my life. I wish I could let it go but it seems to be a constant companion," she said. "I think that I would be very anxious if I knew what was to come," explained Adams. "Assuming that it was all good, but eventually we all experience sadness. I think the great choice we have as human beings is to appreciate each moment like Louise says, the little moments in-between the big moments. That's what builds a life. I don't want to know." She explained that she was drawn to the role of Louise for being a well-rounded female role that she could identify with. "So many women that I know sort of move through life with great intelligence and they have so many different roles in their life," she explained. "She didn't feel strange to me. She felt like every woman I know who's struggling with hard things, who's working through personal issues while also heading out into the world and handling life and work," said Adams. "It's a constant balance. It's a constant juggling act." For Renner, the appeal was playing a role completely apart from his previous body of work. "It was a departure from a lot of things I've done," he said. "Playing a mathematician and a physicist is a bit far from an archer," he joked, referring to his role as Hawkeye in the Avengers films. "So I thought there's a pretty great challenge in that." He also was drawn to the film for its hopefulness. "When humanity is at its worst, it [can] find itself with compassion. I think that's displayed a bit in this film. When there's a unity in that division, there's something quite powerful in that, if we could all accept the fact that we're one." (Hollywood Reporter)
Box-Office Preview: 'Don't Breathe' Set to Rule Quiet Labor Day Ahead of 'Light Between Oceans,' 'Morgan'. Looking for some final summer fun, some titles are re-upping their theater counts, including 'Finding Dory,' 'Independence Day: Resurgence' and 'Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party'; elsewhere, 'Hands of Stone' makes major expansion in second weekend. Labor Day is notoriously slow at the box office, and this year looks to be no exception. Neither of the two new movies -- Venice Film Festival entry The Light Between Oceans and sci-fi thriller Morgan -- are expected to scare off holdover Don't Breathe, the Screen Gems and Stage 6 films that opened to an impressive $26.4 million last weekend and could earn in the mid-teens over the long holiday weekend, according to predictions. Light Between Oceans, an adult specialty drama starring Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander as a childless couple who come upon an infant, looks to open in the mid- to high-single digits for the four days. The film, also starring Rachel Weisz, was directed by Derek Cianfrance and opens just as it plays at the Venice Film Festival. Disney is distributing Light Between Oceans domestically on behalf of DreamWorks, Reliance and Participant Media, who partnered on the $20 million film. Morgan, a $6 million sci-fi horror thriller targeting younger consumers, is likewise tipped to earn in the single- to mid-digits. Fox made the film with first-time director Luke Scott (son of Ridley Scott.). Kate Mara, Anya Taylor-Joy, Toby Jones, Rose Leslie, Boyd Holbrook, Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Paul Giamatti star. The story follows a group of scientists who create Morgan (Taylor-Joy), a being with super-human qualities. Because both new films are modest offerings, some studios are using Labor Day weekend to expand a few of their summer titles. Disney will increase Finding Dory's theater count to more than 2,000, while Fox will up the location count for Independence Day: Resurgence. And for the political crowd, conservative filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza's hit documentary Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party is also getting more theaters. And in its second weekend, The Weinstein Co says its biographical boxing drama Hands of Stone is expanding from roughly 800 theaters to 2,000 on Friday. The movie stars Robert De Niro and Edgar Ramirez. (Hollywood Reporter)
Venice: Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander Talk Intense Acting in 'The Light Between Oceans'. The Irish-German actor also related the story to the modern-day immigration crisis. In Derek Cianfrance's new film The Light Between Oceans, based on the book by M.L. Stedman, Michael Fassbender plays a Tom, a WWI veteran who longs for a life of solitude and takes an undesirable job as a lighthouse keeper on a desolate island off the coast of Western Australia. His plans happily change when he falls in love with Isabel, played by Alicia Vikander, and the two marry and set up an idyllic life apart from civilization. Yet they can't have it all, and Isabel tries repeatedly to have a child with traumatic consequences. When a baby, accompanied by a man's corpse, washes ashore in a row boat, they decide to keep the child and raise it as their own. But they later find out that the mother of the child (Rachel Weisz as Hannah) is alive, and still grieving for her lost child and her German husband Franz. The sweeping period melodrama has been praised at the Venice Film Festival for its gorgeous production with lush cinematography from Adam Arkapaw and another triumphant score from Alexandre Desplat. Cianfrance, Fassbender and Vikander were on hand in Venice to promote the film. Cianfrance explained that DreamWorks ended up making the film because exec Steven Spielberg was a big fan of the director's Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams drama Blue Valentine. "I had always thought that Blue Valentine was E.T. without the alien," Cianfrance said. For the two actors, the experience of shooting on remote locations between Australia and New Zealand was incredibly intense, but one they found very fulfilling. "It meant the world. I was such a big film of Derek's films," said Vikander. "And then I knew that Michael was attached to play Tom, and I think he's one of the most brilliant actors out there." "So for me, I knew I had to come in and work with these guys and give it my very best. That meant that I was up for the game, but I was very nervous. I got people that picked me up when I fell and who pushed me," she continued. "Michael's support in those scenes were a big part of me daring to go all the way, which was needed for the role of Isabel." Fassbender added of his co-star, who was still up-and-coming at the time of the shoot: "I was kind of scared when Alicia came, she was so fierce and hungry, and it was something that it's always a great thing to see in an actor who is getting an opportunity who hasn't been well known yet." "It's always great to see that hunger when you're given that opportunity, and you grab it with both hands," he continued. "I remember that from when I was starting, that hunger when really fresh actors come on the scene makes more established actors up their game," he said. "I really felt like I had to get my shit together and just be there and be as present as she was." He also spoke of Cianfrance's insistence on pushing him as an actor: "Derek is just somebody who demands more and more and more," said Fassbender. "You think you've discovered something and then you're going to go for another 35-minute take. It was a very intense experience but very rewarding." Vikander also talked about the film addressing the often taboo subject of miscarriages: "This women goes through miscarriages and I know it's a subject that's sometimes not talked about a lot but is common and is trauma that a lot of people can relate to." The young actress explained that although she's not a mother yet, it's something she plans on in the future: "It's one of those things that I feel to be the biggest mystery to one day have a child. I always imagine myself to one day have a family." For Fassbender, he said if there's one thing to take away from the film, it's forgiveness, amplified in the character of Hannah, after having sympathized with the discrimination her husband suffered in the post-war climate. "We see it today with the immigration scenario, what happens to Franz is also something that we can relate to today. He goes out in a boat and dies at sea. We see so many immigrants dying at sea today, and how people react to new people coming into a country and that sort of prejudice," he said. "What I like most is this element of forgiveness." Ellen DeGeneres, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Chrissy Teigen, Olivia Munn & Oprah Winfrey Star in Magic Mike Parody Magic Michelle. Ellen DeGeneres twerks hard for the money. Channing Tatum will join the host Tuesday when The Ellen DeGeneres Show returns for its 14th season. The actor isn't coming empty handed, as he will be sharing exclusive footage from Magic Mike Live, debuting in Las Vegas in March 2017. Given that Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL were such successes, DeGeneres has created her very own spinoff: Magic Michelle. The talk show host cast herself in the titular role, of course. Her co-stars include Jenna Dewan Tatum as Peppermint, Olivia Munn as Honeydew and Chrissy Teigen as Linda Peterson. "tWitch and Channing starred together in Magic Mike, and Magic Mike was a huge, huge hit. I mean, so big that they are actually doing an all-female reboot, because they are doing that with everything. They did Ghostbusters and Ocean's Eleven," DeGeneres jokingly told her audience in the pre-release teaser clip. "Thanks to Channing, I get to show you the exclusive sneak-peek." With Ginuwine's "Pony" playing in the background, the four characters took turns bumping, grinding and working the stripper pole -- just as Tatum's male co-stars did in the original films. DeGeneres twerked so hard, in fact, that she lost a big chunk of her platinum blond wig. But the biggest surprise came when Oprah Winfrey tore off her clothes, shook her boobs and did the splits. (OK, OK... that wasn't really Winfrey. It was just face superimposed on a stripper's body.) "This fall, [Hillary Clinton]'s not the only one bringing women to the polls," a voiceover teased. DeGeneres called the parody trailer "truly magic" and joked, "We expect it to be a big, big hit." DeGeneres later admitted that she feels like a changed woman after filming the comedy bit. "We spent a lot of time shooting that, and then my knees spent a lot of time recovering. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to have Jenna teach some dance moves, and she kept telling me to 'drop it down low.' So now my 'down low' hurts really, really bad. My knees are black and blue," she told viewers. "I don't know how many times I...it was just a bad idea. What I'm saying is, I have a new respect for strippers. Give them more than singles, you guys!" In addition to Tatum and Winfrey, Olympian Simone Biles will also appear on Tuesday's show. (Eonline)
Is Emeril Lagasse giving fellow chef Anthony Bourdain a taste of his own lunch? Emeril has a new show on Amazon Prime called "Eat the World," in which he travels the globe to try exotic food. The show, which premieres Friday, will have Emeril tasting cuisines with fellow chefs including Marcus Samuelsson in Sweden and Jose Andres in Spain. Sounding rather Bourdain-esque at the US Open's big night in Queens, Lagasse told us, "It's about people and culture." But he doesn't quite have Bourdain's knack for getting out of scrapes, showing off a boot on one foot. "I dropped a suitcase on it," he explained. "Fractured my big toe." May we suggest, in the future, someone else carry the chef's bags. (Page Six)
Black-ish's New Season 3 Poster Could Not Be More Adorable. The Johnsons are back, and they're looking better than ever. Season three of black-ish is still a few weeks away from premiering, but we have your exclusive first look at the key art! The poster appears to catch the sharply-dressed family in the midst of something hilarious happening, and boy do they clean up good. Jim Rash guest stars as Cody, the VIP tour guide that Dre hires to make the vacation as magical as possible. Season three will also feature Hamilton star Daveed Diggs, who will be playing Rainbow's brother, Johan, in a recurring role. The show also stars Laurence Fishburne, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown, Marsai Martin, Jenifer Lewis, and Peter Mackenzie. The show is up against Transparent, Modern Family, Silicon Valley, Master of None, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and last year's winner, Veep, for the big prize. "It's great to be nominated," Anderson told E! News after the announcement (which he made himself, along with Lauren Graham). "It would be better to go home with a statue but it's fun." "It's humbling to be associated with the talent that I'm associated with...and to have your work recognized by your peers and the academy," he added. "It's just a beautiful thing." The Emmys will air live from L.A.'s Microsoft Theater on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. ET on ABC, and black-ish returns Wednesday, September 21 at 9 p.m. on ABC. (Eonline)
Game of Thrones Adds Its First New Face for Season 7. The seventh and penultimate season of Game of Thrones is adding a fresh face to its already sprawling cast. Oscar-winning veteran actor Jim Broadbent (Harry Potter, Bridget Jones's Diary) has signed on for a role in the HBO series upcoming season, E! News has confirmed, though who he will be playing is anyone's guess. All we do know is that the role will be "significant," as first reported by EW. In seasons past, the speculation game was a bit easy for fanatics of the George R.R. Martin book series upon which the series is based. Just line up the actor with a role yet to jump from page to screen that matches their description and -- voila -- you've figured it out. But now that the series has surpassed its source material, with even the studious of readers watching blind, Broadbent could quite literally appear as anyone. Not only that, but fans will have to wait even longer than usual to find out how Broadbent fits into Westeros. As previously reported, Game of Thrones won't return for season seven until summer of 2017, a full three months after its usual spring debut. The reason for the delay? Blame it on winter. "Now that winter has arrived on Game of Thrones, executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss felt that the storylines of the next season would be better served by starting production a little later than usual, when the weather is changing," Carter Bloys, president of HBO programming, said in a statement. "Instead of the show's traditional spring debut, we're moving the debut to summer to accommodate the shooting schedule." When winter does finally come, though, fans ought to be prepared to have their minds blown. As Maisie Williams, Emmy nominated for her badass work as Arya Stark, revealed on Twitter last week, things are about to get even crazier. "Just finished reading season 7," she tweeted. "S -- t gets REAL... I'd start preparing yourselves now... Scratch that, nothing will prepare you for this." She finished her warning/tease with a succinct "holy BALLS." Who do you think Broadbent might play in season seven? Game of Thrones returns to HBO in summer of 2017. (Eonline)

Adam Scott, Craig Robinson to Star in Fox Comedy 'Ghosted'. The 'X-Files' spoof will be written by Tom Gormican. Fox is ready to put a comedic spin on The X-Files. The network has handed out a hefty pilot production commitment to Ghosted, a single-camera comedy set to star Parks and Recreation's Adam Scott and The Office's Craig Robinson. Ghosted is described as a comedic take on The X-Files and centers on Leroy Wright (Robinson), a cynical, hilarious skeptic, and Max Allison (Adam Scott), a genius "true believer" in the paranormal, who are hired by the Underground Investigative Service to look into the rampant "unexplained" activity in Los Angeles -- all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race. Tom Gormican (That Awkward Moment) will pen the script and executive produce alongside Robinson, Scott and his wife and producing partner Naomi Scott, as well as 3 Arts' Mark Schulman and Oly Obst. The comedy hails from 20th Century Television, 3 Arts and the Scotts' Getting Rad Productions. The comedy reunites Scott and Robinson, who previously starred together in 2015's Hot Tub Time Machine 2. Should the project move to series, it would mark Scott's return to broadcast comedy following his memorable role on NBC's Parks and Rec. His other credits include HBO's upcoming limited series Big Little Lies. Robinson, meanwhile, is poised to host Spike's Caraoke Showdown series and last starred on NBC's short-lived Mr. Robinson in addition to an arc on USA Network's Mr. Robot and multiple guest spots on Fox's Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Robinson is repped by UTA, 3 Arts and Matthew Johnson; Scott is with WME, Rise Management and Skip Brittenham. (Hollywood Reporter)
Fox's 'Lethal Weapon' Reboot Enlists 'Ringer' Grad; 'Chi-Raq' Actress to Recur. The guest role brings Polaha back to Fox, where he previously starred on network dramas Backstrom and North Shore. The actor, whose other credits include Mad Men, Castle and Life Unexpected, is repped by Gersh. Matt Miller (Chuck) executive produces the Warner Bros. TV series with Dan Lin, Jennifer Gwartz and McG, who directed the pilot. Lethal Weapon is one of Fox's big swings for fall. Emmy Poll: Which Show Should Win Best Limited Series? From gangsters to night managers to O.J., this year's nominees are a diverse lot. This year's competition in the outstanding limited series category is as tough as it is diverse. Five shows are vying for the Emmy in one of this year's most high-profile categories. Perhaps the stiffest competition comes from FX's The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, which earned a staggering six acting nominations in addition to an outstanding limited series nom. Murphy, who has received nominations in the category before for American Horror Story, took on what is arguably the most publicized murder trial in history with a dramatic portrayal of the O.J. Simpson murder trial of the 1990s. FX has another offering in the category this year, however, with the second season of Fargo. In 2014, the quirky crime drama took home the outstanding miniseries Emmy. Can this year's iteration, set in the 1970s, accomplish the same feat? Also up for its second Emmy in the category is ABC's American Crime, the gritty anthology from Oscar-winning scribe of 12 Years a Slave, John Ridley. AMC scored a nod for the sleek story of an intelligence operative infiltrating the inner circles of an arms dealer in The Night Manager, which originally aired on BBC. Last, but certainly not least, there is History's Roots, the reimagining of the classic miniseries from 1977 which won nine Emmys, including the one for outstanding limited series. Which limited series do you think deserves to take home the Emmy this year? Cast your vote and check back in to see if your vote is the show to beat on Sept. 18 at the 68th Emmy Awards. And you can also cast your votes for best drama series and best comedy series. (Hollywood Reporter)
More Companies Pull Commercials From TLC in Wake of Josh Duggar Scandal. TLC aired the second season premiere of Jill and Jessa: Counting On, and during commercial breaks many advertisers were surprised to see their commercials aired. More than 12 companies already have pulled their advertising in the wake of the Josh Duggar scandal, in which it was revealed he had sexually molested four of his sisters and a babysitter. The controversy led to the cancelation of 19 Kids and Counting in July 2015. But now four more companies have pulled their ads. Gerber Life, Trivago, Thumbtack.com and Hotwire have joined the other companies who have ended their relationship with TLC. When a Gerber Life ad aired during the premiere of Counting On, a spokesman for the company issued a statement, obtained by InTouch magazine. "The Gerber Life ad was inadvertently shown during the premiere of Counting On," the statement said. "We have been assured that Gerber Life ads will no longer be shown during this program." Trivago also released a statement after one of its ads aired during TLC's reality show. "We did not have control over when the advertisement ran, as it was a direct response buy," the company said in a statement. "We did not purposely intend to advertise during any specific TLC program." Hotwire explained in a statement that they're unable to choose which shows air the company's ads, but can choose the network. "Hotwire ads appear on many cable networks including AMC, Bravo, HGTV, TNT, TBS, USA as well as TLC Network. While we are able to select which cable networks air our ads, we do not select the specific shows," the statement explained. "After further consideration we have decided to remove this network from our plan." Thumbtack.com's statement reads: "At this time, we are not buying TV ad space for particular programming or programs, rather for networks or groups of networks in aggregate." In addition to the sexual molestation revelations, Duggar was also caught having an account on Ashley Madison, a website for those who want to have affairs. Duggar is married to Anna Duggar. After confessing to cheating on Anna, Josh checked himself into long-term treatment center a pornography addiction. (Eonline)

(Page Six)

Season three of black-ish is still a few weeks away from premiering, but we have your exclusive first look at the key art! The poster appears to catch the sharply-dressed family in the midst of something hilarious happening, and boy do they clean up good. When the ABC comedy returns, we'll see Dre (Anthony Anderson), Rainbow (Tracee Ellis Ross), and the whole gang heading to Disney World in the premiere episode, "VIP." Jim Rash guest stars as Cody, the VIP tour guide that Dre hires to make the vacation as magical as possible. Black-ish is up for three Emmys this year, including Outstanding Leading Actor in a Comedy for Anthony Anderson, Oustanding Leading Actor in a Comedy for Tracee Ellis Ross, as well as an Outstanding Comedy Series nod for the show itself.

The network also is getting ready to launch first-year dramas Pitch and The Exorcist, based on the book of the same name. Lethal Weapon is set to premiere Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
(Eonline)
