Maintenance work scheduled Wednesday on northbound I-19 near Canoa Rest Area


The right lane of northbound Interstate 19 approaching the Canoa Rest Area will be closed for six hours on Wednesday, Dec. 7 while the Arizona Department of Transportation conducts maintenance work in the area.

The highway will be narrowed to one lane from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at milepost 32 (kilometer post 53).

No ramps will be affected by the work.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions and closures, but it’s possible that unscheduled impacts might occur because of weather or other factors.
