Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd Welcome a Baby Boy. Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd have officially welcomed their tiny dancer. Well, it might be a little early to know if their first baby has the ballroom itch, but the Dancing With the Stars pros did become first-time parents on Wednesday when Murgatroyd gave birth to a boy named Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy. "This is, without a doubt, the best thing that has ever happened to us!" the couple tells E! News in a statement. The couple continued to fill their fans in on the action, with Maks sharing video of them apparently en route to the hospital in the dark early a.m. hours -- "Hoping for a very smooth delivery for Peta and hope Maks doesn't pass out! Best of luck to a very healthy little guy and God Bless you all" -- followed by a pic of Peta in her hospital bed touching up her mascara. "But first...a little makeup," he captioned the shot. (Mom and Dad must have gotten their last pre-baby spray tan over the weekend...) There's no denying these two were eager to finally become a mom and dad. Amid speculation in June that they were secretly expecting, the couple told E! News, "Absolutely, we want kids." The 30-year-old new mom nearly predicted the outcome of her first pregnancy a year early in December 2015 when she told People, "I would like to start [having kids] pretty soon...A little boy, and then a little girl." With that wish granted, the engaged parents now can devote any extra time they aren't changing diapers or holding bottles to planning for their New York City wedding in July 2017. "We deliberately have it in July so it doesn't conflict with any of the seasons, so we can bring our past partners and our troupe of dancers and stuff like that," Peta told E! News. While some moms may be hesitant about planning a wedding so close to giving birth, Peta actually thinks its just the right amount of prep time. "The timing is perfect, actually," she told People. "I'll have the baby in January and then I'll still have about six months to prepare for the wedding." Plus, they'll have one adorable little guy waiting for them at the altar. "The baby will make a wonderful addition to the wedding party," Chmerkovskiy told the magazine. "A wonderful, tiny addition." Congratulations to the new parents! (Eonline)
Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Fiancee Mara Lane Welcome a Baby Boy: Find Out His Unique Name. Congratulations to Jonathan Rhys Meyers! E! News can exclusively confirm the hunky Irish actor and his fiancee Mara Lane welcomed their first child into the world, a bouncing baby boy named Wolf Rhys Meyers, on December 15, 2016. We learned Lane gave birth to her son in the comfort of the couple's home, and he was delivered by a midwife. News of the couple's pregnancy was first reported in September, and since then, Mara has been busy sharing adorable pregnancy photos on social media. For example, over the holidays, the film producer posted a photo holding her baby bump while posing in front of a Christmas tree. "Our other official prego wego dress. Found in #Amsterdam #Noordermarkt for 15 euros," she wrote. "Every other day I dunno as I have other dresses but Baby likes these ones." She continued, "[He] is super conscious, connected & aware. Has not let me eat much meat entire pregnancy either ... has me thinking about things I'd rather live in ignorance too. Angel alien baby about to rock my world I already know #thankful for my soon to be best teacher and friend." Meanwhile, the couple started dating in 2014 and got engaged that December. At the time, a source told E! News they were beyond excited to start their lives together. "They have been together since January," the insider told us. "They are so in love. He is in a great place and Mara and Jonathan really complement one another. He is healthy and happy." Jonathan has battled his alcohol addiction over the past several years, entering rehab three times to overcome the disease. In 2015, he suffered a minor relapse and was photographed taking pulls from a Vodka bottle and stumbling through the streets of London. He took to social media to apologize to fans and explain why he had missed some publicity for his film Damascus Cover following the incident. "Mara and I are thankful for your support and kindness during this time. I apologize for having a minor relapse and hope that people don't think too badly of me," he wrote. "I stopped drinking immediately and it is no reflection on Damascus Cover as I was not meant to attend Cannes this year and I apologize to fans and colleagues." "I am on the mend and thank well-wishers and sorry for my disheveled appearance as I was on my way home from a friends and had not changed I feel I made a mistake and feel quite embarrassed but this was just a blip in my recovery otherwise I'm living a healthy life," the actor wrote. "Love and blessings." (Eonline)
Ryan Reynolds Credits Blake Lively for Keeping Him ''Sane'' During Most Stressful Career Moments. When the curtain rises at the 2017 Golden Globes, there's only one hand nominee Ryan Reynolds will be squeezing. The actor stands to win his first major award in the Best Actor, Musical or Comedy category for Deadpool, a role that gave Reynolds anxiety long before award season rolled around. In a new interview with Variety, the father of two credits wife Blake Lively for helping him cope with particularly stressful moments leading up to the action flick's premiere. "By the time we were in [post-production], we'd been to Comic-Con, and people went crazy for it," Ryan explained. "The expectations were eating me alive." "Blake helped me through that," he continued. "I'm lucky to have her around just to keep me sane." Aww! As if we needed another reason to love this perfect pair... Reynolds has never shied away from addressing his struggle with anxiety, an aspect of his personal life that's nothing new for the Hollywood star. "I have three older brothers," he told the outlet. "Our father was tough. He wasn't easy on anyone. And he wasn't easy on himself. I think the anxiety might have started there, trying ?to find ways to control others by trying to control myself. At the time, I never recognized that. I was just a twitchy kid." Now Ryan has a family of his own, and if his big win at the 22nd Annual Critics' Choice Awards is any indication of what's to come, Blake will have plenty of more reasons to celebrate her leading man. Nicole Kidman Reveals Daughter Sunday Rose Is Becoming an Actress. Earlier this week, stars lined the red carpet at the 2017 Palm Springs International Film Festival. Nicole Kidman, among those in attendance, spoke to E! News' Marc Malkin on the red carpet about celebrating New Year's Eve over the weekend. Kidman rang in the New Year in Nashville with her children, as husband Keith Urban was performing that night. Urban brought his wife on stage to pay their respects to many of the musical greats that passed away in 2016. "I wanted to do that, for him -- to support my hubby, and also support those artists who we lost in 2016," she told E! News. Urban's performance, which aired on CNN, paid homage to Leonard Cohen, The Eagles, Merle Haggard and Prince. While Urban and Kidman continue to make headlines, another member of the family may have scored their breakout role: Sunday Rose is the newest star of the family, as she recently landed her first acting gig. Kidman told E! News that the focus has shifted in their family. Asked if she had her dress ready Sunday's Golden Globe Awards, Kidman replied that her dress was already picked out because of a pressing matter at hand. "My daughter just got cast in her school play," she explained, "so, that's been the main priority, learning lines with her." Sunday seems to be quite dedicated to her new role, as Kidman said she overheard her daughter telling her father, "You've got to get off the phone, and help me with my lines, dad." Kidman, who will also be presenting, is nominated in the Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama, category for her role in Lion. The 2017 Golden Globes will air live Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. (Eonline)
Yup, he has her love. Three weeks after Drake and Jennifer Lopez connected backstage December 11 at her All I Have Las Vegas residency, the 47-year-old multihyphenate and the Grammy-winning "Fake Love" rapper "are the real deal," a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. Between time spent in the recording studio and steamy nights out (see: their New Year's Eve date at Las Vegas' Hakkasan), "they've gotten very close fast," says a Lopez confidant, adding that the mom of 8-year-old twins Max and Emme (with ex-husband Marc Anthony) "gets really excited to see him." For Lopez, the 30-year-old's appeal is twofold. Named the fifth-wealthiest hip-hop artist by Forbes in 2016 (he has a net worth of $60 million to her reported $300 million), "he's not only a sexy guy," says the Lopez insider, "but it's great for her image to be dating the hottest rapper in the game." And then there are his smooth moves. When Drake learned the Bronx native had never attended prom at her all-girls Catholic high school, he formulated a grand gesture. Choosing an L.A. church as the setting for a December 29 winter wonderland-themed formal, he created a scene straight out of Degrassi High. He had the space decked out with snowflake cutouts and metallic foil fringe, hired a band and arranged for he and Lopez (sporting a floral corsage, of course) to be crowned king and queen. "He wanted her to have that experience," explains a source. It was his fantasy too. Notes a Drake pal, "She was his childhood crush!" Nights at Lopez's 8-acre Bel-Air estate in Los Angeles have left her equally smitten. "They listen to music and talk a lot," says a Lopez source. "They're both single, attractive and have a lot in common, so it's natural. They really like each other." (US Weekly)
Joe Jonas & Sophie Turner Instagram Official?! The Pic Proof! Awww, young love! After it was reported back in December that Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas were now exclusively dating, we knew it wouldn't be long before the Game of Thrones actress made their relationship Instagram official. And it appears our hunch was correct as, earlier this week, the DNCE frontman FINALLY graced the It-girl's IG account. The 20-year-old posted: We see you, Joe! It seems the love birds had quite the time in Miami, FL for the New Year's Eve weekend as they were also photographed out and about shopping in the Magic City. As you surely know, the Barely Lethal star and the Jonas Brothers alum have been romantically linked ever since they were first spotted getting cozy at the MTVEMAs back in November. Since then, the twosome have spent some major holidays together and gone out for several romantic dinners. Too sweet! Here's hoping this online display of affection means the twosome will be hitting the red carpet together this awards season. *squeals with excitement* (Perez Hilton)
"This Is Us" star Chrissy Metz needed a wheelchair for a bum knee ... NOT because she underwent gastric bypass surgery. Chrissy was in a wheelchair Tuesday at LAX ... because she hurt her knee in Florida during Xmas. She has some lingering pain but should be at full strength in a few days. The wheelchair suggested she might've actually gone through with the surgery ... after her character, Kate Pearson, vowed in the last episode to have gastric bypass. Her people tell us she absolutely did not have gastric bypass. Chrissy's people tell us the bum knee shouldn't impact shooting the show, or this weekend's Golden Globes, where she's nominated for Best Supporting Actress. (TMZ)
Brooke Mueller Is on the ''Path to Recovery'' and Sees Her Two Sons ''Almost Every Day'' as She Remains in Rehab. Brooke Mueller is getting the help she needs. Charlie Sheen's ex-wife entered rehab last month after being hospitalized in mid-November shortly after an incident involving the former couple's twin sons. Now just over three weeks since Mueller began seeking treatment at a Utah-based facility, E! News has an exclusive update on the actress' recovery. Mueller's half-sister Sydney Wolofsky tells us that she "is really committed. She wants to stay with the program," later adding, "She was planning on doing three months, but now she's saying she wants to stay six months or maybe even a year." As for how often the 39-year-old gets to visit Bob Sheen and Max Sheen, ages 7, Wolofsky reveals the rehab center "is close to her house and she sees the boys almost every day. Their nanny either brings them to her or someone like my mom can sign her out on a day pass." "My parents are in Utah and they've been there since everything went down," Mueller's family member adds. "The boys' nanny is the same nanny they've had since they were born and she's like family." On Nov. 16, 2016, the Utah Department of Public Safety received a welfare check call from a woman claiming to be Mueller's mother. Dispatchers responded to the call and located Mueller, her two children and her nanny on Interstate 15 near Nephi, Utah. While Mueller was taken to a hospital for an evaluation, the boys were put in the care of family. Over the holidays, Brooke enjoyed time with her family and her children spent Thanksgiving with Sheen, who is extremely supportive of the steps his ex-has taken to better herself. "[Charlie] saw the boys over Thanksgiving in L.A.," Sydney explains. "And I know they've seen him since then. He's fully on board and he loves that Brooke's getting help while the boys are in my family's care. He's good with everything." During Christmas, Mueller's half-sister shares that, "Her brother and sister-in-law and their two kids came as well and it was nice for the whole family to be together... She'd snowboard and I'd ski and we'd have family lunch and dinner and then she'd go back [to the treatment facility.]" "Brooke's doing really, really well," Wolofsky continues. "She's on the path to recovery and it looks like she wants to stay on it this time. The boys are really happy and she gets to see them all the time." (Eonline)
Paris Jackson Congratulates "Badass" Mom Debbie Rowe on Completing Chemotherapy Treatment. Debbie Rowe is feeling the love from her only daughter. Paris Jackson, 18, took to Instagram Tuesday with a message for her father Michael Jackson's ex-wife, who is currently battling breast cancer. "my badass mom, kickin butt n takin names. ain't she f--kin fabulous????" Paris wrote alongside a snapshot of Rowe, 58, holding a sign that read, "Chemo Done!" Paris and Debbie's relationship has seen its fair share of ups and downs over the years, but the two reportedly reconnected when Rowe's cancer diagnosis went public over the summer. In October, Paris was right by her mother's side when she began chemotherapy treatment, sharing a heartwarming photo of the duo embracing each other. Jackson captioned the moment, "I'm a fighter because she's a fighter. Love you mom." Prior to this, the mother-daughter duo had not been photographed publicly together since 2013. Paris and her older brother Prince Michael, whose mother is also Debbie, were previously under the guardianship of the King of Pop's mother, Katherine Jackson, following his death in 2009. "[Paris] is my rock, she's amazing," Rowe explained to Entertainment Tonight in a sit-down interview from October. "She's been with me the whole time. She was there. First phone call, [it] took her 30 seconds [to reach out] when she found out." The former nurse has remained mostly out of the spotlight following her highly-publicized child custody battle against Katherine that ultimately settled in 2009. Paris, on the other hand, has remained an extremely outspoken figure on social media and continues to honor her late father years after his passing. (Eonline)
Justin Bieber abandons his sick puppy. Justin Bieber's uneasy relationship with the animal kingdom continues. This time, the singer appears to have palmed off his sick dog on a friend, who's now trying to scrounge up $8,000 for a lifesaving operation for the puppy. In August last year, Bieber proudly introduced his "new little fluff ball Todd" to his fans on Instagram. Later he posted a video of the preternaturally fluffy animal, wonderingly adoringly, "How are you real?" However, the infatuation has passed. It seems that Bieber -- who famously adopted and then discarded a monkey, OG Mally, in 2013 -- has given the dog to one of his dancers, C.J. Salvador. It gets worse for Todd. Salvador has created a Go Fund Me page for the luckless mutt, explaining that the pooch "is a 7-month-old chow born with a birth defect called 'severe hip dysplasia.' Long story short, by the time he turns 1, he won't be able to walk, run, let alone play." Salvador says that Todd can either be put down or have a "very specialized surgery." "So I am humbly asking you to donate anything," he writes. The fundraising goal of $8000 has been met, and the count is now up to $8246. Forbes estimates that Bieber made $56 million in 2016. The Canadian star has a long history with animals. He has owned a dog named Sammy (deceased), a snake named Johnson (auctioned off for charity), a hamster called Pac (which he gave away to a fan in the front row of a concert, shortly before its untimely death), Tuts the Cat (whereabouts unknown) and a Yorkshire terrier called Ester, which appears still to be in the care of the "Sorry" singer. Angelina Jolie has agreed to Brad Pitt's request to have divorce documents pertaining to custody sealed -- but she slams him in her new court filing. Pitt, 53, asked a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to seal all records relating to their six children on Dec. 21, accusing Jolie of compromising the kids' privacy by releasing details to the media through public court filings. TMZ reports that while Jolie, 41, has agreed to keep documents sealed, she strongly disputes his claims that she freely publicized sensitive information -- saying that he only made such accusations because he's "terrified that the public will learn the truth." "There is little doubt that [Brad] would prefer to keep the entire case private, particularly given the detailed investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dept. of Children and Family Services into allegation of abuse," state the court documents, according to TMZ. But a source close to the situation stresses that Pitt has been cleared in all investigations. "It's nice to see that she has finally come around to supporting the sealing of documents weeks after he requested this action," the source tells PEOPLE. "Considering that both the FBI and child services thoroughly investigated this matter and cleared the father, this line of attack doesn't make much sense." (People)
Black-ish Star Anthony Anderson's Wife Files to Dismiss Divorce Petition. While Anthony's career seems to be on a constant rise, it looks as though his personal life is hitting some trouble. E! News has confirmed that the Black-ish star's wife has filed for divorce from the actor, citing the ever-so-popular "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. The high school sweethearts, who married in 1999, have two children together, Kyra Anderson, 19, and Nathan Anderson, 15 (who recently joined him on the red carpet for the Emmy Awards). According to the court documents obtained by E! News, Alvina is requesting joint legal custody of the minor and primary physical custody, with Anthony getting "reasonable visitation." She is also asking for spousal support. Anderson's rep tells us, "Yes, the divorce papers are public record and they have been separated for some time now." Although the divorce filing, or even word of their marriage being rocky, comes as a surprise to most, it looks like this was a long time coming. Alvina states the date of their separation as April 1, 2014. Anderson was present for the annual Emmy Awards on Sunday night with his son Nathan, and two men looked dapper as ever. The celeb was focused on his award-winning television series, while also giving E! News some scoop on what's to come! Or should we say, who. Anderson spilled that he's working on snagging Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama for a guest appearance on his hit ABC sitcom. "We're petitioning to get Pres. Obama on the show," Anderson said. "They watch the show. They love it. We know them so we've been dealing with them and their people and hopefully they'll say yes." TMZ was first to report the divorce. UPDATE: E! News has learned that Anthony Anderson's wife Alvina Stewart has asked a Los Angeles judge to dismiss her divorce petition. The two appear to have reconciled since Alvina first filed for divorce from the actor back in September 2015. (Eonline)
Halle Berry needed to be a single woman by the end of 2016 ... because she had some big deals on the line. According to the divorce docs, obtained by TMZ, Halle needed the divorce to go through before 2017 "due to pending contracts and deals." It's clear from the docs Halle didn't want Olivier to get a piece of the action. She even says the negotiations for the deals were initiated long after they separated. TMZ broke the story ... Halle and Olivier Martinez are officially single after filing final divorce docs last month. They will get joint legal and physical custody of their 3-year-old son Maceo. Most interesting ... they both ran to the courthouse at the same time to file for divorce, and each wanted to be the petitioner -- the one who called it quits. Olivier agreed to let Halle do the honors, so she can say she left him. (TMZ)
Leslie Jones is furious that publisher Simon & Schuster has given a book deal to a controversial conservative activist who pelted her with nasty abuse online. The Saturday Night Live star spoke out against the publisher and its imprint, Threshold Editions, for the recently announced a $250,000 book deal with Milo Yiannopoulos, an editor for alt-right website Breitbart who was banned from Twitter after allegedly inciting racist harassment against the 49-year-old actress the past summer. Simon & Schuster released a statement defending the book deal, saying "we do not and have never condoned discrimination or hate speech in any form." However, they said they "have always published books by a wide range of authors with greatly varying, and frequently controversial opinions" and the opinions of the authors do not reflect their company. Jones shot back on Twitter by saying, "Yea but you still help them spread their hate to even more people." Following a series of racist and offensive tweets allegedly provoked by Yiannopoulos, Jones tried defending herself before leaving the social media platform for several days. Jones's tweets led her fans to create the hashtag #LoveForLeslieJ, which they used to voice their support. The situation caught the attention of Twitter chief executive Jack Dorsey, who sent Jones a message asking her to get in touch with him. In response to the hate, Twitter permanently suspended Yiannopoulos, who has been accused of leading a harassment campaign against the Saturday Night Live actress. Twitter also released a statement in which they said they were investigating ways to improve their process of reviewing abusive behavior on the social media site and will continue to work on their policies. A Los Angeles judge has ordered the attorney for an anonymous defendant to identify a now-deceased client who targeted actor James Woods with Twitter insults. Woods sued the John Doe defendant last year after the Twitter user, who went by the name "Abe List," called him a "cocaine addict." The Twitter user died since the lawsuit was filed. His attorney, Ken White had argued that the case should have been thrown out, as the insults were part of protected political speech. But the motion to toss the case was denied. "This is a significant step forward in our ability to recover the millions in damages caused by John Doe's cowardly Tweet," said Woods' attorney, Michael Weinstein of Lavely & Singer. "It also sends a message to others who believe they can hide behind the anonymity of online social media to falsely accuse public figures of heinous behavior without recourse to themselves." According to Weinstein, White has 10 days to disclose his client's name in a sworn declaration. "Sometimes the bad guy wins in litigation," White said via email. "I remain proud that I defended Abe Doe against James Woods' vexatious, petulant lawsuit complaining about a joke he's used himself on Twitter. I'm also pleased that the judge rejected his request for sanctions and turned down his demand to compel me to respond to a number of other questions. Woods is a bully who can dish it out but can't take it. His claim that a patently satirical tweet damaged his reputation is preposterous. It would be ridiculous for anyone not to hire him because of an obvious joke – but perfectly reasonable not to hire him because he's James Woods." In a court brief last year, White accused Woods of harassing his client's family. Included in one of White's briefs was one of Woods' tweets, after being informed that the John Doe defendant had died. "Screaming my name, I hope. Learn this. Libel me, I'll sue you. If you die, I'll follow you to the bowels of Hell. Get it?" Woods, a prolific Twitter user, wrote on Tuesday, "Twitter's worst users cherish the ability to defame from the shadows of anonymity. Twitter squeals "1st Amendment" only when profit calls." (Page Six)
The family of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds is planning a public memorial which will become a grand Hollywood event, and we're told they've reached out to Meryl Streep for the keynote eulogy. Family sources tell us there will be a private service and burial Thursday for both Carrie and Debbie. The service will take place at Forest Lawn in Burbank, where mother/daughter will be buried side by side. We're told there will be no celebrities delivering eulogies at the private service. If Billie Lourd feels up to speaking she will, but there are no concrete plans. As for the public memorial, no date has been set. Billie is spearheading the service, and she wants to get through the funeral before she goes full bore. We're told as of late Tuesday, Meryl Streep was not a firm lock but they fully expect her to be the principal speaker. As you know, Streep played Carrie in "Postcards from the Edge" and was very close to Debbie. Meryl presented Debbie with a humanitarian award a couple years back. We're told the family will also reach out to 'Star Wars' actors to speak, including Mark Hamill. They expect George Lucas to attend but not to speak. The public memorial will be a Hollywood event. We're told Debbie's costumes from "Singin' in the Rain" and other movies will be on display. Carrie's 'Star Wars' outfits likewise will be featured. (TMZ)
Dan Kay, a former contestant on Survivor: Gabon died suddenly on New Year's Eve at just 40 years old. The Brookline, New Hampshire, father-of-two, who starred on the show in 2008, passed away "unexpectedly" according to his obituary. The show's host, Jeff Probst, took to Twitter to pay his condolences to the grieving family. "I just heard the very sad about the sudden loss of Dan Kay of Survivor: Gabon," he wrote. "The Survivor family sends our love to Dan's family." Kay's obituary credited him for his zest for life and passion for his family. "He was known for his hard work, dedication, attention to detail and strong work ethic," it read. "In his free time, he enjoyed running, skiing, listening to music, and attending Crossway Christian Church. Dan had a smile that could light up a room." It continued: "His desire to be challenged and his quest for adventure lead to his participation on the reality show, Survivor." Kay is survived by his two young children, his girlfriend and his mother. "More than anything, Dan cherished the time he spent with his two young children, Reese Elizabeth Kay and Jackson "Jax" Russell-Reid Kay," the obit said. "Those who knew Dan best, would agree he was a child at heart." Kay competed in the 17th season of the CBS reality show that was eventually won by high school teacher Robert "Rob" Crowley in December 2008. (US Weekly)

Jessica Biel Gives Justin Timberlake a Run for His Money With These Sweet Dance Moves. Justin Timberlake might be known for his showstopping dance moves when he's performing, but it looks like his wife is some fierce competition. Jessica Biel headed to the Staples Center with her hubby on Tuesday night to watch the Los Angeles Lakers take on J.T.'s hometown team, the Memphis Grizzlies. While they spent most of the night giving us major #CoupleGoals while enjoying the basketball game, there was also a moment in which Biel gave her man a run for his money. She must have got that feeling in her body because she began showcasing her dancing skills, proving she's got some serious moves to keep up with Timberlake. She threw her hands in the air and got low, shakin' what her mama gave her as Timberlake and their friends couldn't help but laugh along. Perhaps she was rooting for the Lakers and doing a little victory dance, considering the L.A.-based team took home a W with 116 points over Memphis' 102. Either way, J.T. didn't seem too down about it. He took to Instagram shortly after the loss and proved his own skills on the court, making not one but two half-court shots. "Still got that range," he captioned the video. "Grizz took the L. All good though... bounce back!!!" He then posted a second video, making the shot once more, adding, "And just in case y'all thought it was a fluke..." Though their 1-year-old son Silas didn't appear to be with them, we're sure J.T. will take that video home and make him proud! (Eonline)
Someone get Justin Timberlake a bucket of water ... 'cause that dude was ON FIRE Tuesday night!! The pop star was messin' around on the court at the Lakers game (he's a part-owner of the visiting Memphis Grizzlies) ... when he decided to test his shooting skills from halfcourt. Not only did JT sink the first shot ... but he followed up with ANOTHER swish -- and then got back on defense after the bucket!! As for the game, Justin went up to his VIP box and had a dance party with his wife, Jessica Biel ... while the Lakers smashed on the Griz. #GoLakeShow. (TMZ)
One of Gabrielle Union's favorite jewelers just rolled out a wedding band every woman's gonna want ... for her husband. Jason of Beverly Hills -- celeb jeweler to Gabby, Evelyn Lozada, Tyga and many more -- has created a thick wedding band for dudes which has the word "Married" embossed on the inside. The idea ... "Married" will be imprinted on the guy's finger even if he takes off the ring. Brilliant ... for a few minutes anyway. That imprint won't last forever. To be fair, he should make one for chicks too. Just sayin' ... (TMZ)
Denise Richards Shares Sweet Photo of Charlie Sheen With Her & Kids: "We're Still a Family." When it comes to family, Charlie Sheen is still winning. Ex-wife and actress Denise Richards posted on her Instagram page late Tuesday a photo of the actor dining with her, their daughters Sam, 12, and Lola, 11, and her adopted daughter Eloise, 6. "We've had a colorful year ...at the end of the day we're still a family.. @charliesheen #familydinner," Richards wrote. Sheen had last week posted a sweet tweet that contained a photo of him and Sam posing together playfully. Sheen and Richards, his second of three ex-wives, were married between 2002 and 2006. They split while she was pregnant with Lola in 2005. Their post-marital relationship has been...complicated, including both super friendly moments and, at other times, actions that have landed them in court. Last year, Richards filed court documents that claimed Sheen was not following through with the terms of a trust he set up for their two daughters, adding that he became hostile over the years and in 2015, had her and the kids evicted from a home next door to his, forcing them to rent a house for $15,000 a month. Sheen's lawyer had told E! News at the time that Richards "always tries to use the children to get more money for HER." A source said Richards was "just trying to stick up for her kids and what was promised to them." Richards also claimed Sheen sent her and their children scathing text messages, including one to Lola that allegedly said, "Have a merry Xmas with your loser f--k s--t mom ... your dad is a rock star genius ... your mom is a puss wart." Sheen did not respond. On Father's Day 2015, Sheen reportedly tweeted that Richards was the "worst mom alive" and an "evil terrorist." He also said, "Brooke M is a sexy rok star whom I adore D Richards a heretic washed up piglet Shame pile Happy Father's Day!!!" Sheen was referring to his third ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, the mother of 7-year-old twin boys Max and Bob. The children lived for a while with Richards in 2013 when she gained temporary custody of them after the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services had them removed from their mother's home. Mueller has battled substance abuse for years and is currently in rehab. The twins live with her mother. (Eonline)
Andrew Garfield Describes Being High With Emma Stone and Friends at Disneyland: "It Was Literally Heaven." Andrew Garfield once had a really magical time at Disneyland. Almost five years ago, the Hacksaw Ridge star celebrated his 29th birthday at Disneyland with Emma Stone and a group of his closest friends. But what seems like a normal birthday outing has quickly turned into a hilarious anecdote, thanks to a video from W magazine that's making the rounds on social media. In the video, Garfield opens up about that special day and reveals that he, Stone and the rest of their friends were...well, stoned. "They came out to L.A. to surprise me. We went to Disneyland. We ate pot brownies. It was literally heaven. How about Space Mountain three times in a row?" he recalls. "I freaked out on It's a Small World. I was like, 'It is a f--king small world.'" Not before long, Garfield and co. began to have out-of-body experiences in other Disneyland worlds. "There was a moment when me and eight of my closest friends found ourselves...we didn't even realize anyone else was doing it. We were walking through Fantasyland and there was a song that was playing coming out of the trees, and we were all doing this -- dancing through -- an di think at one point we all started looking around going, 'We're all doing the same dance. How did this happen?'" he says while imitating the interpretative dance moves he and his friends conjured. "And then we just kind of like build to this choreographed like through Disneyland like who are these grown men and women really f--king high just totally like what the f--k.," he says, laughing as he remembers. "And we had this girl called Chantelle -- bless you, Chantelle, wherever you are -- she was our guide. And I think she was that innocent and pure of heart that she had no idea that we were on drugs." Garfield feels even more terribly about the way they acted around their tour guide because of how complimentary she was. "'You guys are great. I wish all of my guys were like you,'" he remembers her saying. "Then we went back to my house and talked about how insane that day was because we were all having our own experiences, and I think we all kind of came back going, 'Were you thinking this?' "We all realized we were all thinking so many of the same things at the same time. Just stoned conversation. Everyone had a different freak out at a different place." Sounds like the birthday party of a lifetime! (Eonline)
Kylie Jenner's 2017 Calendar Incorrectly Marks Her Birthday. Kylie Jenner might have to buy a different calendar if she wants to celebrate her birthday this year. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star released her 2017 photograph calendar, which is chock-full of racy pics taken by Terry Richardson, but fans noticed that Kylie's birthday is marked incorrectly. The makeup mogul was born on August 10, but her new calendar notes her birthday as August 20. "20 today!" the calendar notes. Unfortunately, many noticed immediately that the calendar was misinformed. "@KylieJenner we share the same birthday of august 10th but your calendar says august 20th...#stillcutedoe," one fan tweeted. "@ItsJohnnyCyrus Do you know Kylie 's birthday?? I think her bd is Aug 10 but Official Calendar says Aug 20 Tell me plz I can't sleep lol," questioned another Twitter follower. The month of August features a risque photo of Kylie wearing nothing but a pair of skimpy bikini bottoms and birthday cake. Yes, she's wearing birthday cake to conceal her breasts. (She's noshing on a bit of cake, too.) Kylie, 19, teased some photos from her calendar in December on Instagram and Snapchat. The front cover shows a blond Kylie wearing lacy lingerie and a crown, while the back cover shows the Kylie Cosmetics founder lying on the ground with a boa constrictor draped across her backside. Kylie also shared a sneak peek at her photo for April. "I want to keep the rest of the photos a secret, because I want you guys to be surprised," she teased. "So f--king bomb, Terry!" (Eonline)
Billy Bush hasn't lost his sense of humor in the New Year. On Tuesday, the former "Today" show host posted a cheeky snapshot on Instagram in which he not-so-subtly called himself an a–hole. "So my friend Aaron [James] told me he wrote about me in his new book. Can't wait to read it... ," Bush shared. The book, entitled "A–holes: A Theory," poses the question of what it means to be a jerk. James' text "presents a provocative theory of the a–hole to explain why such people exist," as described on Amazon.com. Bush's longtime career as a TV journalist came crashing down last fall following the release of an "Access Hollywood" tape from 2005, in which he and then-Presidential nominee Donald Trump made lewd comments about women. While Bush, 45, was first suspended from "Today" in early October, he was later let go by NBC. "I am deeply grateful for the conversations I've had with my daughters, and for all of the support from family, friends and colleagues. I look forward to what lies ahead," Bush said in a statement. As for his much-awaited comeback, Page Six reported in November Breitbart News could be seeking Bush's services in the future. "They are trying to recruit Billy Bush," an insider revealed. "They want to expand covering Hollywood in a big way -- and think Billy would be perfect for the job." (Page Six)

Here's Why Real Housewives of New Jersey's Melissa Gorga Temporarily Closed Envy Boutique. Drama is brewing in New Jersey and its nothing to be envious of. E! News has learned that The Envy by Melissa Gorga boutique has closed its doors temporarily after the Real Housewives of New Jersey star had a "difference of opinion" with her business partner Jackie Beard Robinson. "Melissa Gorga is and has always been an owner of the Envy by Melissa Gorga boutique," the Bravo star's rep confirmed to E! News. "Melissa and Jackie have had a difference of opinion on how the store should be run and at this point Jackie is no longer involved in managing the boutique, but Melissa intends to maintain the success of the boutique by managing on it her own, and she is excited to open with a new inventory of Spring fashions." According to a separate source, Jackie took The Envy's inventory and brought it to another boutique. As it turns out, Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers may be familiar with the location. Merchandise was sent to Kim DePaola's store known as Porsche, which has been featured several times on the Bravo series. "I welcome @jackiebeardrobinson with open arms!!!" Kim wrote on Instagram. "She is a lovely, sweet, generous person!!!" Just last year, Melissa couldn't help but express her excitement at her latest business venture. After all, the Bravo star has had a love for fashion and accessories for several years. "It just felt like the natural next step to open a store and actually have a physical location where I can put styles together and put brands together that I love and be able sell them to the public," she told The Daily Dish. "So it's exciting. I'm a small business owner now, which is kind of crazy. Every time I walk up I go, 'This is crazy. I like this.'" And while the Bravo star has experienced a bump in the road, she's looking forward to opening her doors once again in the coming weeks. "There's something for everyone, that was very important for me and having a price range go from $50 on up was very important to me also," Melissa previously shared. "So we were able to achieve both of those things. The styles are so great. It feels good in there." Us Weekly was first to report the news. (Eonline)

Kenya Moore Defends Her Decision to Pull a Gun on Home Trespassers. Kenya Moore is sticking to her guns. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star revealed Friday that three unidentified intruders hopped her home's fence and approached Moore Manor, sharing security footage stills on her Instagram that showed her pulling a gun on the trespassers. She also posted two videos detailing what had occurred. But while appearing on Watch What Happens Live Tuesday night, Moore defended her decision to pull out her gun. Host Andy Cohen asked Moore if the weapon was loaded, and she enthusiastically responded, "Absolutely!" "Listen, if some crazy MFs have the nerve -- I have a gated property -- they went around my gate. They went and trespassed," Moore explained. "They did so many things that were asking for it, not only to be shot but an ass whoopin'. They're just lucky they didn't get both. So you come to my property, I have the right to defend myself. What if I had children? I'm protecting my family." "Did they run right away?" Cohen wondered. "Absolutely!" Moore said. One day after the intrusion, Moore offered $1,000 to anyone who could identify one or more of the trespassers. The 45-year-old Bravolebrity also provided additional information regarding the trio. "They were driving a white car. The female was recording on her phone the entire time," the Bravolebrity wrote. "They told someone! Turn them in anonymously and if it leads to their arrest you will get $1000 each. It is never ok to violate anyone this way. It is not funny. Men showing up at your door is an immediate threat. Things could have ended badly and all 3 will be criminally prosecuted." (Eonline)
Roger Marshall's Son "Grounded" After Dabbing Next to Paul Ryan at Swearing-In Ceremony. This dad was no fan of the dab. House Speaker Paul Ryan was sworn in the 115th Congress Tuesday and then took part in an hours-long photo op with members and their families. Cal Marshall, the 17-year-old son of newly elected Rep. Roger Marshall, a Republican from Kansas, decided to make it more interesting -- for him, and for scores of viewers, namely those younger than the politicians -- by dabbing. The adults were not impressed. "Just so you know @SpeakerRyan: He's grounded," Roger tweeted. It is unclear if he was being serious. "Do you want to put your hand down?" Ryan said. "You gonna sneeze? That it?" "Just finished swearing-in photos. Nearly 300 members. Countless cute kids," Ryan tweeted after the ceremony. "Still don't get what dabbing is, though." To out-of-touch politicians: The dab is a celebratory pose made popular by Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. Even Betty White, 94, has mastered it. To teenage kids of politicians: Maybe don't try embarrass your parent and steal their thunder on their big day. Save the dabbing for home. (Eonline)

James Corden Thanks George Michael for Inspiring "Carpool Karaoke." There would be no "Carpool Karaoke" without George Michael. So, when CBS' The Late Late Show returned from its holiday hiatus Tuesday, James Corden wanted to pay tribute to the 54-year-old singer, who was found dead Christmas morning. "We're so thrilled to be back. We really, really are. We missed you while we were away," the host began. "I went back to London over Christmas and had the best time. But there was some really sad news over Christmas that hit me really hard...the passing away of George Michael." "George was...I feel like I've loved George Michael as long as I've kind of loved music, in a way, and I know so many of his fans feel the same," Corden said. "Like sometimes, I can remember so many specific times in my life where I might have felt on my own, and George's music would feel like he just...it would feel like you would listen to a song and he would reach his hand out and tell you that you weren't on your own News of Michael's passing hit Corden "a bit harder," as he "was lucky enough" to meet him in 2011. "He very kindly agreed to do a sketch for Comic Relief, which is a huge charity in the U.K. on a big day called Red Nose Day. I wanted George to be in this sketch with me," he recalled. "We called his management and we called the label. I'll never ever forget it, but they said, 'George would like to talk to you about this himself. But he's in Australia, so he's going to ring you, but when he calls you, it'll be 3 a.m. in London.' It was the weirdest feeling going to bed thinking, 'When I wake up, it's going to be because George Michael is on the phone and I'm going to talk to him about this sketch.' We chatted for an hour, and we talked about music." Corden added, "I felt very privileged to be able to tell him how much his music meant to me." Eventually, Corden and Michael got down to business. "In this sketch, the idea was that a character from a sitcom I was in at home was driving to the offices of Comic Relief to try and save Red Nose Day. We had come up with this idea to have me and George Michael singing in a car," the Gavin & Stacey star said. "It was the first time I'd ever sung in a car with anybody. It's become quite a big part of my life now, and he really inspired it." The sketch was so popular that Corden wanted to adapt it for The Late Late Show when he became the host in 2015. "When we started the show here, we were trying to get people to do 'Carpool Karaoke, 'and not many artists wanted to do it," Corden said. "We would send them this clip of me and George, and we went it to Mariah Carey, and she was the first person to say yes. Her words were, 'If it's good enough for George, then it's good enough for me. I'll do it.'" "So, we all have so much to thank him for, for the music that he's given that will last forever," Corden told his studio audience. "But we personally, here at this show, we owe him so much." After replaying the 2011 sketch, Corden said, "George, we'll miss you so much. We really will." (Eonline)
Mariah Carey says she is "mortified" over her disastrous performance on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest" -- but sources told Page Six that the diva has no one to blame but herself for her mike meltdown. Carey broke her silence on Tuesday about her Times Square New Year's gig, telling Entertainment Weekly: "I'm of the opinion that Dick Clark would not have let an artist go through that and he would have been as mortified as I was in real time." She added, "It will make me less trusting of using anyone outside of my own team." Carey's camp has said the singer was "sabotaged" by the show for ratings. Dick Clark Productions fired back, calling the claims "defamatory, outrageous and frankly absurd." A source close to the production tells Page Six: "It was totally [Carey's] screw-up .?.?. Her assistant came out for the sound check, not her." Our insider added of Carey, "All her dancers were in step. Everybody else onstage heard the track. Even without [the earpiece] there were eight speakers onstage. It was not the sound people." A second source at the rehearsal added: "The sound check was about 20 minutes. A stand-in did the whole routine with the mike. Mariah was on the side of the stage, and at the very end -- no more than four seconds -- she goes up and goes, 'La-da-dee-da .?.?. Everything sounds great. Love you, New York,' and left." The first source said of the live show, "She was like a lost puppy .?.?. She wasn't even standing where she was supposed to .?.?. There was no [production] reason she couldn't do it." The source said performers were to play at Planet Hollywood afterward, but that while the others showed up for the private gig, Carey did not. Carey posted a picture of herself rehearsing for the live show. But co-host Jenny McCarthy claimed on her SiriusXM show: "Mariah didn't do a sound check .?.?. She did whatever you would call like a 'dance move rehearsal,' holding her gold microphone, and she .?.?. had a stand-in do a sound check." She said, "Her voice is not there anymore." Carey's rep said, "None of this is true." (Page Six)

Matt Pinfield Reveals Rehab Return. Matt Pinfield, former host of MTV's 120 Minutes and author of the new book All These Things That I've Done: My Insane, Improbable Rock Life, announced Tuesday morning (Jan. 3) that he is taking a break from his morning hosting duties on San Francisco's KFOG radio station in order to enter rehab. Pinfeld, 55, tells Billboard that he is on medications, including blood thinners, for congestive heart failure. He recently had a slip involving alcohol and made a decision to go straight to a facility in California to get himself back on track. "I have a responsibility to my health," he says. "I decided to fix my problem. I'm going to do this. It feels good to me. It's the right thing." Pinfield says he shared his decision on air as a way to be open and honest with his audience, as well as help others struggling with addiction to not feel ashamed asking for help. "I needed to tell everyone the truth. I can't be phony. I can't be fake," he says. "I just can't. It's not me. It was hard to go on the air with it this morning at first, but I have nothing but love for people, and if I can help just one person, that's what matters." Pinfield has been down this road before. He went on the air in New York City on 101.9 WRXP with a similar announcement in 2009. In his new book, he writes that the revelation helped fans listening to the broadcast find the strength to tell their families they needed to get well. "I want to help others. I want to pass it on," he says. "There is a famous line: You can't help the people next to you in the plane if you don't put on your oxygen mask first when it's going down. That's a beautiful line." Pinfield's announcement was met with an outpouring of support, with tons of phone calls and messages of encouragement on Twitter from fans, radio and record industry peers and musicians, including Rhett Miller from Old 97's and Paul Arthurs (aka: Bonehead) of Oasis. "I love the Bay, I love the city and I love the people," he says. "I have a lot of support." In addition to his work at KFOG, Pinfield is looking to the future. In addition to his radio endeavors, Pinfield has been approached about turning his book into a feature film. "I am going to come back with a bunch of new features on the air," he says. "I have a lot more work to do." Pinfield began his career as a well-respected club DJ in the mid-1980s, working his way up to the position of program director at the iconic alternative radio station WHTG-FM in Eatontown, New Jersey. He was then hired at MTV in the mid-'90s, where he hosted the alternative video show 120 Minutes and other shows, including Pinfield Presents, Rocks Off, Mattrock, Say What and MTV Live. He left MTV in 1999 to co-host and co-write the live music show Farmclub.com. In 2001, Pinfield took an A&R position at Columbia Records, where he helped sign Coheed & Cambria and Crossfade. In addition to his morning show duties at KFOG, Pinfield hosts the nightly syndicated alternative rock show Two Hours With Matt Pinfield. A spokesperson for KFOG couldn't be reached at press time. Sia's Lyric Video for 'Lion' Theme 'Never Give Up'. Sia comes roaring back with "Never Give Up," the theme for the Garth Davis-helmed feature film Lion. The Australian singer and songwriter shared the lyric video overnight for her powerful and uplifting Greg Kursten-produced number. The new clip follows a pair of young Sia mini-mess with their faces blacked out and sporting worn-out clothes. They embrace at an eerily quiet train station before making a break for it. "And I won't let you get me down/I'll keep gettin' up when I hit the ground/Oh, never give up, no, never give up no, no, oh/I won't let you get me down," sings Sia (the lyrics are handily splashed around the station). Lion stars Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire) and tells the story of a young man in search of his family after being separated from them as a child in India. The film hit theaters last November. George Michael's U.S. Music Sales Surge Following Death. The most-streamed song of the Michael/Wham! catalog during the week was "Last Christmas." The death of George Michael on Dec. 25prompted a big sales surge for his albums and digital songs in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music. In the week ending Dec. 29, sales of Michael's music -- including with his former duo, Wham! -- increased 2,678 percent (to 477,000 albums and songs, rounded to the nearest thousand), compared to the previous week (17,000). Of the 477,000 total, album sales equaled 48,000 (up from just 1,000 the week previous), while song sales totaled 429,000 (an increase from 16,000 a week earlier). In total, Michael/Wham! earned 103,000 equivalent album units during the tracking frame -- a gain of 2,071 percent compared to the 5,000 units earned a week earlier. Concurrently, three of Michael's solo albums and Wham!'s 1984 breakthrough set Make It Bigreturn to the Billboard 200 chart (dated Jan. 14). The chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums. Michael's 2008 greatest hits album Twenty Five re-enters the list at No. 12 -- a new high for the album, surpassing its initial No. 28 debut and peak. The best-of earned 39,000 equivalent album units in the latest week (up 1,471 percent), with 9,000 of those in traditional album sales (up 9,476 percent). Michael's debut solo album, 1987's Faith, jumps back onto the tally at No. 18 with 33,000 units (up 6,061 percent), with 14,000 copies sold (up 8,189 percent). The smash set -- which spent 12 weeks atop the chart -- was the biggest-selling Michael or Wham! album of the week. Michael additionally charts one more solo set on the list, the 1998 greatest hits compilation, Ladies & Gentlemen: The Best of George Michael, at No. 84 (11,000 units; up 3,291 percent, with 7,000 sold; up 5,257 percent). Wham! sees its Make It Big studio effort return at No. 168 (7,000 units; up 713 percent, with 5,000 sold; up 2,208 percent). It's the first time the former No. 1 album has been on the tally since 1986. The set ruled the chart for three weeks in 1985 and launched three No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100: "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," "Careless Whisper" and "Everything She Wants." Speaking of the Hot 100, "Careless Whisper" re-enters the list at No. 33, while the duo's seasonal hit "Last Christmas" rises 50-41 in its second week on the chart. Meanwhile, Michael's former Hot 100 topper "Faith" flies back onto the list at No. 47. Margot Robbie's mastered the spin for her upcoming role as Tonya Harding, but she's got a long way to go before she can stick a triple Salchow. Robbie hit the ice Tuesday at Pickwick Ice in Burbank -- the same place Alan Thicke had his fatal heart attack. The movie, called "I, Tonya," dramatizes one of the biggest sporting scandals in history. As you know, Tonya's ex-husband hired a hitman to club rival Nancy Kerrigan in the leg before the '94 Olympics. We'll give Robbie a 9.7. Doubt the Russian judges would be as generous. (TMZ)
Diego Luna Gets "Emotional" Over a Fan's Star Wars Story. Diego Luna is living proof that "representation matters." Even before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was released in the U.S. Dec. 16, critics praised director Gareth Edwards' cosmopolitan cast, which includes Riz Ahmed, Felicity Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker and Donnie Yen. The movie has earned $801.9 million at the global box office, and it's expected to earn much more. For Luna, playing Rebel Alliance Captain and Intelligence officer Cassian Andor was everything he hoped it would be -- and oh so much more. "All the work with the stunts, it's so cool. It's like choreography. Killing a Stormtrooper it's so nice, but you have to rehearse, right? But that feeling of running and suddenly [shooting] and the guy falls, it's so special. I've dreamed of that my whole life," the 37-year-old actor told E! News' Erin Lim in December. "Getting to a place where everything around you is Star Wars and doing it over and over and over, it was perfect." The movie doesn't just feel perfect: Critics and fans agree that it looks perfect, too. Visually, Rogue One makes quite an impact (for a number of reasons). Luna was reminded of that Tuesday when he shared one fan's story on Twitter, admitting, "I got emotional reading this!" In less than 12 hours, the fan's story was retweeted over 22,000 times. "I took my father to see Rogue One today. I've wanted to take him for a while. I wanted my Mexican father, with his thick Mexican accent, to experience what it was like to see a hero in a blockbuster film, speak the way he does. And although I wasn't sure if it was going to resonate with him, I took him anyway," Luna's fan began. "When Diego Luna's character came on screen and started speaking, my dad nudged me and said, 'He has a heavy accent.' I was like, 'Yup.'" "When the film was over and were walking to the car, he turns to me and says, 'Did you notice that he had an accent?' I said, 'Yeah, dad, just like yours.' Then my dad asked me if the film had made a lot of money. I told it was the second highest grossing film of 2016 despite it only being out for 18 days in 2016 (since New Year just came around). He then asked me if people liked the film. I told him that it had a huge following online and great reviews. He then asked me why Diego Luna hadn't changed his accent and I told him that Diego has openly talked about keeping his accent and how proud he is of it," the fan continued. "And my dad was silent for a while and then said, 'And he was the main character.' I said, 'He was.'" "And my dad was so happy. As we drove home he started telling me about other Mexican actors that he thinks should be in movie sin America," the fan said. "Representation matters." (Eonline)
After playing a mentor to Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games" franchise, Woody Harrelson might help guide another iconic character's journey. Sources tell Variety that, while talks are still in the early stages, Harrelson is the top choice to play Han Solo's mentor in the upcoming "Star Wars" spinoff starring Alden Ehrenreich. Donald Glover and Emilia Clarke also star, with Phil Lord and Chris Miller directing. Disney had no comment. The movie will be set prior to "Star Wars: A New Hope," like the other "Star Wars" standalone project, "Rogue One," which hit theaters on Dec. 16. Kathleen Kennedy and Allison Shearmur are producing the spin-off film, which is expected to begin production in January. The movie is slated to hit theaters on May 25, 2018. Harrelson and Shearmur have close ties from their work on "The Hunger Games," when Shearmur was overseeing the project for Lionsgate. The ensemble has already begun filling with rising stars, but executives wanted this role to go to an actor with considerable clout, and started meeting with actors over the past several weeks. The first "Star Wars Story," "Rogue One," has set the bar high. Along with overwhelmingly positive reviews, it has grossed more than $800 million worldwide, and is still in theaters. In the past year, Harrelson has kept busy, appearing in the cop drama "Triple Nine," "Now You See Me 2," "LBJ," and "The Edge of Seventeen." The coming year looks just as busy, with "The Glass Castle" opposite Brie Larson, "Wilson," and the highly anticipated "War of the Planet of the Apes," in which he plays the new antagonist. He is repped by CAA. (Page Six)
Berlin: Etienne Comar's 'Django' to Open 2017 Festival. The biopic stars Reda Kateb as jazz legend Django Reinhardt. The Berlin International Film Festival will open next month with the world premiere of Etienne Comar's directorial debut Django, a biopic of jazz legend Django Reinhardt, starring Reda Kateb (Far From Men). The film is set during Reinhardt's flight from German-occupied Paris in 1943. As a Sinti, Reinhardt and his family were harassed and hounded by the Nazis. Django will also be in official competition in Berlin. "Django Reinhardt was one of the most brilliant pioneers of European jazz and the father of Gypsy Swing," said Berlin festival director Dieter Kosslick. "Django grippingly portrays one chapter in the musician's eventful life and is a poignant tale of survival. Constant danger, flight and the atrocities committed against his family could not make him stop playing." Reinhardt's music is a staple of movie soundtracks, including The Aviator, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and The Matrix trilogy. Woody Allen has used Reinhardt's tracks in numerous films, most famously in Sweet and Lowdown, where Sean Penn plays a jazz guitarist obsessed with Reinhardt (played in a cameo in the film by Michael Sprague). Django marks the directorial debut of Comar, already famed as a screenwriter and producer on such films as the Of Gods and Men, Haute Cuisine and My King. Comar co-wrote the script to Django together with Alexis Salatko. Dutch jazz band Rosenberg Trio re-recorded Reinhardt's music for the film's soundtrack. Cecile de France (The Kid with a Bike) co-stars alongside Kateb in the film, together with German actors Alex Brendemuhl and Ulrich Brandhoff. Django is produced by Fidelite, Arches Films and Pathe. Pathe International will be handling international sales. Django will open the 2017 Berlin festival on Feb. 9. The remaining titles in Berlin competition this year will be announced in the coming weeks. (Hollywood Reporter)

"If we were to give the celebrity-obsessed massive audiences something worth watching -- I mean, really worth watching -- we'd also be launching our careers," he continues. "Wouldn't you spend a night behind bars if that's what it took to change your luck?" The long-gestating comedy, penned by Seven screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker, made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, and looks critically at instant fame, true crime dramas, extreme violence and L.A. desperation. The film features voice cameos by Mike Judge, Molly Shannon and Hannibal Buress, and is available on demand beginning Jan. 6. (Hollywood Reporter)

Megyn Kelly Gets Emotional While Announcing Fox News Departure: "I Hope Our Human Connection Continues." Megyn Kelly had a tough Tuesday night. The longtime Fox News broadcaster officially announced on her show, The Kelly File, that she would be leaving the network for NBC News. Kelly's emotional announcement came at the end of her show, leaving fans with a bittersweet, but hopeful message. "Finally tonight, a personal and professional note from me to you. After more than dozen years at Fox News, I have decided to pursue a new challenge," Kelly began. "This was a tough decision for me because I love this show, our staff, my crew, our colleagues here at Fox and you, all of you: those who write me the lovely handwritten notes asking about my kids and even those who very rarely complain on Twitter about our coverage after a show or a presidential debate." Kelly continued, "Now I don't actually know most of you, so perhaps it's not true love, but it's the kind of feeling that makes one feel connected to another human being. And that, after all, is why I believe we're here: human connection." The journalist, 46, addressed her personal life, telling fans that part of her choice stems from wanting to spend more time with her three kids. "The truth is I need more of that in my life, in particular when it comes to my children who are seven, five and three," she said, "so I'll be leaving Fox News at the week's end and starting a new adventure, joining the journalists at NBC News who I deeply admire. I'll be anchoring a daytime show there, along with a Sunday night news magazine. And you'll see me there on the big nights, too, for politics and such." Kelly fought back tears as she closed out her message. "I am very grateful to NBC for this opportunity, and I am deeply thankful to Fox News for the wonderful 12 years I have had here," she said. "I have grown up here and been given every chance a young reporter could ever ask for. The Murdoch family has been kind and good to me at every turn, and my colleagues are like a second family to me, so I will miss them and this show and you. "And I hope our human connection continues. I'll be over a different line. Thank you for watching. With love." News of Kelly's departure leaked early Tuesday, and both 21st Century Fox Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch and Andrew Lack, Chairman of the NBCUniversal News Group, released statements. "We thank Megyn Kelly for her 12 years of contributions to Fox News," Murdoch said in a statement obtained by E! News. "We hope she enjoys tremendous success in her career and wish her and her family all the best." Lack told NBC News, "Megyn is an exceptional journalist and news anchor, who has had an extraordinary career. She's demonstrated tremendous skill and poise, and we're lucky to have her." (Eonline)

Heidi and Spencer Pratt's return to the "Celebrity Big Brother" UK house didn't come cheap ... the show dropped hundreds of thousands of dollars for the couple to come in and cause trouble. Speidi will make $700k to compete this season -- quite a bit more than the normal $250k cap. TMZ broke the story, Ray J's raking in even more -- $1 MILLION for his participation. As for why the show is opening its corporate wallet ... interest has faded in the past couple of years. Aubrey O'Day, Jonathan Cheban and David Gest didn't deliver the ratings, so producers needed to goose things. Heidi and Spencer were universally hated by the cast on 'Celeb Big Brother' in 2013, but managed to finish as runners-up. Producers are hoping they'll stir up all sorts of drama this time around as well along with Ray and Khloe K's BFF, Malika. As for Heidi and Spencer ... they reportedly threatened to shut down production this season if they weren't served fish and chips ... so producers seem to be getting their money's worth. (TMZ)
Viacom Breaks Ground on First Nickelodeon Resort in China. A $1.71 billion theme park in the country's south will allow Chinese families to interact "with iconic and beloved characters, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." China's booming theme parks sector has another big contender under construction. Viacom broke ground Wednesday on the Nickelodeon Cultural Resort in the southern city of Foshan. The Nickelodeon theme park is part of a broader development scheme called the Foshan Cultural and Ecological Coastal Project. The $1.71 billion (11.9 billion RMB) development covers an area of about 750 acres, with 250 set acres set aside for Nickelodeon-themed attractions. It is expected to open in 2020. Viacom International Media Networks has yet to announce what attractions will be included within the park, but Ron Johnson, executive vp Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products, said it will give Chinese families the "opportunity to interact with iconic and beloved characters including SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." Viacom's partners in the project are Hong Kong conglomerate Elite Global Group and the Sanshui New Town Management Committee, a government-backed entity charged with developing the Sanshui district of Foshan. Fueled by a growing and increasingly entertainment-focused middle class, China's theme park industry is on track to surpass that of the U.S. within the next few years. By 2020, ticket sales at Chinese parks will surge to $12 billion from $4.6 billion in 2015, according to a report released in November by market research firms Euromonitor International and World Travel Market. Theme park revenue in the U.S., meanwhile, is expected to inch upward to $9 billion in 2020 from $8 billion in 2015. Major international park brands have been hurrying to enter the market, while local real estate giant Dalian Wanda Group plans to roll out 15 mega-resorts across China by 2020. In September, Universal Studios signed a deal with a Chinese consortium to build a multibillion-dollar theme park in Beijing, to open in 2019. Later this year, Dreamworks Animation and Chinese partners are expected to complete a $2.4 billion entertainment complex in Shanghai, featuring bars, restaurants and performance venues. Disney's $5.5 billion theme park in Shanghai opened last June and the company says it will come close to breaking even by the end of its first full year of operation. Shanghai Disneyland broke ground on a Toy Story-themed expansion in October, just four months after opening. Viacom last year opened the first Nickelodeon-themed attraction in Asia, Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon in Malaysia. (Hollywood Reporter)
Kim Kardashian's Bestie Jonathan Cheban Is Reportedly Entering The Celebrity Big Brother House To Defend Her To Ray J's Face! The house will never be able to keep up with them! As you've probably heard by now, Ray J was one of the few new stars invited to take part in Celebrity Big Brother 19 this season... but he's not the only housemate with strong ties to American reality television's royal family. That's because there are rumors going around that CBB 17 quitter/Kim Kardashian West's best friend Jonathan Cheban is about to enter the All-Stars vs. New Stars house to defend her honor!! According to a DailyMail.com report out Wednesday, KimmyKakes' sex tape partner is about to learn why he was suspiciously promised such a high paycheck for his participation -- he's about to get ambushed on LIVE TV!! Plus, this would also explain why the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is apparently angry with her bestie... because while Jonathan could still be on Celebs Go Dating later this year, it could ALSO be a smokescreen to hide the fact he's coming to CBB! And we doubt Kim is pleased about the potential fallout from this move. Before DM's report, Jonathan sparked Big Brother rumors of his own shortly after Tuesday night's premiere, (not-so) cryptically tweeting: En route to where, Jonathan?! Of course, Ray J has already proven the casting department right because the very first words out of his mouth were obviously all about Kim K., introducing himself: "You might know me for a lot of things –- music, reality TV, oh, and you might also know me for my d*ck! People wanna know about the sex tape with me and Kim Kardashian. Order it, put some money in my pocket... Y'all still jerking off to the sex tape? Enjoy!" At least he's guaranteed to be good TV! Although, Jonathan infamously only lasted seven days before quitting last time... so who knows if he'll even get a chance to confront Ray. (Perez Hilton)

(TMZ)

(Eonline)

47. "Careless Whisper" was also Michael and Wham!'s best-selling song in the week ending Dec. 29, with 53,000 downloads sold (up 3,423 percent). The most-streamed song of the Michael/Wham! catalog during the week was "Last Christmas," with 8.2 million on-demand streams (up 64 percent). "Whisper" was in second place, with 7.7 million (up 576 percent). In total, Michael/Wham! registered 50.7 million streams for the week (up 553 percent from 7.8 million). (Hollywood Reporter)
