Hayden Panettiere Opens Up About Postpartum Depression and Rehab: "I'm All the Stronger for It." Hayden Panettiere is starting 2017 off strong. The Nashville star appeared on Good Morning America Thursday and opened up about her struggles with postpartum depression after welcoming daughter Kaya, 2. "It takes you a while and you feel off," Panettiere explained of how she realized something was wrong. "You don't feel like yourself." With the love and support of her fiance Wladimir Klitschko, Panettiere checked into rehab to receive treatment -- a decision she said made her a "better mom." "Women are so resilient, and that's the incredible thing about them," she said. "I think I'm all the stronger for it. I think I'm a better mom because of it because you never take that connection for granted." Even though Panettiere is away from her daughter these days -- little Kaya is skiing in Austria (no big deal!) -- the Heroes alum is "feeling fabulous." "I'm feeling great," she gushed, adding that filming Nashville has helped her get back on track. "I'm so glad to be back playing Juliette. Everything she's been through has been like a hazard sign in the road. She made me stronger. I feel like she's a phoenix. She crashes and burns and then she rises from the ashes and she always takes the lesson and becomes stronger for it. "So we have that in common I think," Panettiere added. Panettiere's onscreen character also struggled with postpartum depression. "It absolutely helped me," she said of playing her country star character. "I think it helped me identify what was going on. And to let women know that it's OK to ask for help and it's OK to have a moment of weakness. It doesn't make you a bad person, doesn't make you a bad mother. It makes you a very strong, resilient woman. You've just got to let it make you stronger." (Eonline)

When Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Want to Have Sex, They Tell Their Daughters It's "Kissy-Kissy Time." The secret's out! After a decade of marriage and two children at home, it seems Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman need to get creative when it comes to sneaking away for some alone time. So, when the mood strikes, this is how they tell their 8-year-old daughter Sunday and 6-year-old daughter Faith mom and dad are heading to bed and not to knock on the door. "[We tell them] Mommy and Daddy need to have kissy-kissy time," the Lion star told "The Moms" Denise Albert and Melissa Musen Gerstein at a live event on Wednesday, as reported by Page Six. When you're Hollywood superstars juggling two kids, new movies, music and everything else an A-list life entails, there's just no time to waste tiptoeing around the subject. Fortunately, they are the proud owners of a tent, so there's always room for an outside romp. "We go glamping," Urban told E!'s Carissa Culiner on the red carpet of the 2016 CMA Awards. "We camp in the backyard," Kidman echoed. "We sleep in the tent and then we go into the house halfway through the night." While it may be all smooth sailing under the stars for the longtime lovebirds today, their initial meeting all those years ago did not go so seamlessly. "There was a split moment where she wasn't with anybody and there was nobody around and I thought, 'Oh, I'll just go up and say hi,'" he recalled to Oprah Winfrey on her daytime talk show. "And I plucked up the courage to go and do it very nervously and trying to be all cool. She was very pleasant and everything. There was that moment of waiting for the next thing to be said, at which I didn't know if I was bothering her or what was going on, so I just sort of said, 'Well, nice to meet you' and I walked away." "And she stood there for a moment and she walked away and then I thought, 'Was I supposed to say more?' A friend of mine said, 'I think she wanted to talk to you,'" he continued. "I went back over and apologized and we just started talking and just really clicked." If you were wondering what the secret is to a 10-year marriage, we now have it -- kid-friendly code words for sex and plenty of glamping. (Eonline)

Hilary Duff Not "Desperate" to Find a man. Hilary Duff is ready to come clean. As she confesses in Cosmopolitan's February issue, "I've never been a good dater." After her four-year marriage to Mike Comrie came to an end in 2014, she lined up a few Tinder dates the following year. Unfortunately, the "Sparks" singer didn't feel any, well...sparks. She briefly dated Rise Nation founder Jason Walsh in 2016, but Duff entered the New Year a single woman. According to the actress, "I meet, like, one person a year that I'm maybe attracted to." The Younger star adds, "I never want to be that girl who's desperate to find a mate." And why should she be? It's not as if there's a shortage of men who'd happily date her. Duff remains on good terms with Walsh, and she and Comrie make much better friends than lovers. "Mike's amazing. We're so ingrained in each other's lives. I wouldn't choose anyone else to co-parent with," she tells Cosmo. "We are really good friends and care a lot about each other." The older she gets, the less Duff is concerned about what the future has in store -- particularly with her 30th birthday approaching this September. "I think I'm a pretty confident person. I've had a career for a long time, but I've put a lot of unnecessary pressure on myself as a woman, a businessperson, an actress. I'm like, 'Am I doing enough?' Everyone I've talked to says you come into your own in your 30s," the singer says. "You feel more secure. I'm looking forward to that." For more from Duff, pick up Cosmopolitan's February issue. Amber Rose Opens Up About Her "Absolutely Amazing" Romance With Val Chmerkovskiy. Amber Rose is starting 2017 madly in love. As the Dancing With the Stars alumna continues her new relationship with Val Chmerkovskiy, fans are getting some new details into this blossoming romance. "It's amazing. It's so good," Amber shared with her co-host Dr. Chris Donaghue on Wednesday's Loveline. "It's been four months now and it's awesome. I love his family and everyone's so great. He's great." She continued, "Right now, it's just absolutely amazing and I'm super, super happy." The sweet messages come just hours after the model shared a sweet PDA-filled picture alongside her man. In an Instagram post, Val and Amber leaned in for a kiss with the caption, "My Love ?." Romance rumors first sparked between the two back in October when Amber was competing on Dancing With the Stars alongside her pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. If you couldn't already guess, Mak's brother is Val who went on to win the season with Laurie Hernandez. Despite busy schedules, the couple has enjoyed quality time coast to coast including date nights at Halloween parties and even a visit to Peta Murgatrody's baby shower. They also have shared a few romantic posts on Instagram proving these two are the real deal. "I didn't want to put it out there [early on] because I wasn't sure about us yet. We were just kinda talking," Amber admitted on Wednesday's Loveline. "It's so exciting though." (Eonline)

Emma Roberts put some weight on her left ring finger ... with a diamond piece that has all the markings of engagement ring #2 from Evan Peters. Emma was out in Bev Hills Wednesday sporting what looks like a diamond and onyx ring. Interesting timing on the new bling ... considering she and longtime on/off bf Evan are just a few months into their latest reunion. As we told you, the couple was spotted back in November doing some major PDA after they'd broken off engagement #1 earlier in 2016. They've had a rocky road at times -- a domestic violence incident in 2013, but maybe the kids have worked it out. Again. The new ring's a big change from the old one. People change. (TMZ)

Nicki Minaj Confirms Meek Mill Breakup: "I Am Single." Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill are officially over. Amid widespread reports that the rappers had called it quits, Nicki took to Twitter Thursday to end the speculation once and for all. "To confirm, yes I am single. Focusing on my work & looking forward to sharing it with you guys really soon," Nicki said. "Have a blessed New Year." The "Truffle Butter" rapper added, "Love u." Nicki, 34, and Meek, 29, began dating in early 2015. Historically, both musicians have shied away from publicly discussing their private lives. Meek for example, told Fader magazine in April 2015 that their romance was "definitely real...but it ain't really time to get married yet." When Nicki appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the spring of 2016, she said she was "single" -- even though she was dating Meek at the time. "I don't even want to say that I'm in a relationship anymore, because I think when people hear that, they go to like the mean place..." "You know, I used to be secretive...I used to say, 'I'm not in a relationship,' even though I was in a 12-year relationship [with rapper Safaree Samuels]," Nicki reminded host Ellen DeGeneres. "Now I feel like just going back to that and saying, 'You know what? I'm single.'" Meek, for his part, has not commented on the breakup. Throughout the course of their relationship, rumors swirled that Nicki and Meek were secretly engaged. "He said that my third ring would be my engagement ring. But sometimes he calls me his fiancee, and I'm always trying to stop him, like, 'Nope! I ain't got that third ring yet!' We're just taking it one step at a time," she told NYLON in April 2015. "And, you know, if that happens, if I get married, then I'll have a child, and that'll be fun, because I can't wait to hold my baby." At the time, Nicki thought Meek might be The One. "When he and I were just friends, he would always say, 'You remind me of my mother, and I like that because you're like a dude. You're tough like a guy and you talk like a dude.' So, I always got the sense that me being tough and bossy was a turn-on for him. And it's important for me to keep my voice," she explained. "Being in a relationship shouldn't mean that you lose your voice. Being in a relationship should mean that you've met a secure-enough man to allow you, in a sense, to remain a queen." Three months later, tabloid reports claimed Nick was expecting a baby. "Nicki ain't pregnant," Meek told with Shade 45's DJ Superstar Jay in July 2015. "But yeah, I wish...I already tweeted that five years ago, so it should be happening later. Sooner or later, when we ready for that." Nicki was quick to correct her man, tweeting, "No matter wut he, or anyone else says, Onika Tanya Maraj won't b pushing anyone1 out her vajayjay, until she's married. Now check that." Rest assured, Nicki will be just fine without Meek by her side. "Nowadays, I feel like [young women] see marrying into money -- I think that's a big thing now. I don't want that to be a woman's goal in life," the "Side to Side" rapper explained to Marie Claire in November 2016. "I want your goal in life to be to become an entrepreneur, a rich woman, a career-driven woman." "You have to be able to know that you need no man on this planet at all, period," the star added. "He should feel that, because when a man feels that you need him, he acts differently." (Eonline)

Bindi Irwin Follows in Father Steve Irwin's Footsteps as She Gets Up Close and Personal With a Crocodile. Bindi Irwin is one fearless Crocodile Hunter! The 18-year-old daughter of late wildlife conservationist Steve Irwin continues to keep her father's legacy alive at their family-owned Australia Zoo, most recently sharing a video of herself feeding a crocodile. Bindi, her mother Terri Irwin and little brother Robert Irwin are currently kicking off the summer season down under by hosting a number of live shows at the zoo, starring what else? Crocs, of course! In the footage posted Wednesday on Instagram, Bindi can be seen leaning over a barricade as she dangles a piece of meat over the crocodile's mouth. For most, the massive reptile got a little too close for comfort, but for Bindi, it's just another day in the life! "Woo! Well done," Bindi tells the croc with a round of applause. The Dancing With the Stars champ was just 8-years-old when the beloved animal rights activist tragically died in 2006. Back in September, family, friends and fans marked the 10-year anniversary of Steve's death both in private and on social media. "You'll be my hero for my entire existence. I love you more than words can describe," she penned on the same day as Australia's Father's Day. The Irwin family as well as Bindi's boyfriend Chandler Powell also celebrated their loved one at the 10th annual Steve Irwin Gala dinner in November. Judging from Bindi's latest crocodile encounter, 2017 will be even more adventure-filled than ever before. (Eonline)

Inside Chris Messina's "Fun" Method of Gaining 40 Pounds for Live by Night. Chris Messina had to work hard for his body in Live by Night. No, he didn't lose a dramatic amount of weight for the role; instead, The Mindy Project star had to gain a lot of weight...40 lbs. to be exact. And to put on the extra fluff, Messina had to completely change his diet, but he didn't complain. "It was fun. It was a lot of fun," he told Stephen Colbert on The Late Show Wednesday night. "[I] just stuffed my face. Beer -- lots of beer -- bagels, pasta. I would have a beer by the bedside table, and I woke up in the middle of the night to pee and I'd just chug the beer." With such a free-spirited approach to food and drink, Messina joked his co-stars loved him even more. "It was fun," he said. "I was like a hero on set." Messina explained he had to gain the weight because his character in the book from which the film is adapted is described as "round." "I'm [Ben] Affleck's sidekick and kind of, believe it or not, his bodyguard," Messina shared, "so I thought the only way to maybe do that is to have some bulk." Messina and Affleck also co-starred in Argo, which took home Oscar for Best Picture in 2013. Now that it has been a fair amount of time since Messina and the cast finished filming, the 42-year-old actor has lost the "fun" weight he gained. (Eonline)

Craig Strickland's Widow Shares the Final Texts He Sent Her Before Tragic Death. Craig Strickland and Helen Strickland had planned on having countless conversations together, but after his tragic death at the start of 2016, these were some of the last words they ever exchanged. It was a year ago on Wednesday that the Backroad Anthem frontman was discovered dead from accidental hypothermia after his boat capsized in a lake during a hunting trip in Oklahoma. At the time, he was 29 years old and had just celebrated his first wedding anniversary with his wife a month earlier. A few days before Strickland first went missing, he texted Helen to pay her a compliment and update her on his plans for the day. Unbeknownst to her, they would be the last texts she would get from him. "A year ago today, the search for my husband @backroadcraig concluded," Hellen wrote on Instagram on Wednesday. "I remember receiving these last texts from him before talking for the last time on the phone-I'm so thankful God gave me the blessing of getting to say and hear the words 'I love you' to/from him just moments before he and Chase got in their 10ft flat bottom boat." In the messages, Strickland told her she looked "so precious" in a photo and also references picking up his dog, Sam, who was later found alive with the body of the singer's friend and fellow traveler, Chase Morland. "It was truly such a blessing the day we found Craig," Helen recalled. "We were finally able to find some kind of peace knowing he was with his Heavenly Father...Losing Craig was not what any of us desired; but as @strickark told me - when we get sad, we can think of all the ways God will bless others through Craig's story." On November 29, she also celebrated what would have been their second wedding anniversary with an emotional message and wedding photo montage on social media. "Happy Anniversary Craig Michael," she began. "I will miss you every step of the way in this life...but I am thankful that I can always look back on the precious memory of our marriage with love in my heart." (Eonline)

Ellen DeGeneres and Pharrell Williams discussed gospel singer Kim Burrell's recent homophobic comments during The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, January 5. As previously reported, DeGeneres, 58, canceled Burrell's appearance on the daytime talk show after a video surfaced of the singer talking about "the perverted homosexual spirit" during a sermon at the Love & Liberty Fellowship Church. She later defended her comments in a Facebook video. Williams, 43, was supposed to perform with Burrell. "I actually didn't know her, her name is Kim Burrell. She made a statement, she was doing a Facebook Live, and she said some very not nice things about homosexuals, so I didn't feel that was good of me to have her on the show to give her a platform after she was saying things about me," DeGeneres said on Thursday. She then gave the floor to the "Happy" singer, who collaborated with Burrell on the song "I See a Victory," from the Hidden Figures soundtrack. "There's no space, there's no room for any kind of prejudice in 2017 and moving on," Williams replied. "There's no room. She's a fantastic singer, I love her, just like I love everybody else, and we all got to get used to that. ... We all have to get used to everyone's differences and understand that this is a big, gigantic, beautiful, colorful world and it only works with inclusion and empathy. It only works that way." He added: "Live and let live. Love and let love." DeGeneres, who has been married to Portia de Rossi since 2008, agreed. "When I say be kind to one another, I feel that. Because as someone who has received a lot of hate and prejudice and discrimination because of who I choose to love, I just don't understand anyone who has experienced that kind of oppression or anything like that ... it only gives me more compassion," she said. "It gives me more empathy. I don't ever want anyone to feel hurt because they are different." Williams said that he wants to "lift everyone" -- even those he disagrees with. "Whenever you hear some sort of hate speech and you feel like it doesn't necessarily pertain to you because you may not have anything to do with that, all you got to do is put the word black in that sentence, or put gay in that sentence, or put transgender in that sentence or put white in that sentence, and all of a sudden it starts to make sense to you," he said. "God is love. This universe is love and that's the only way it will function." (US Weekly)

Taking it one day at a time. Shannen Doherty shared an Instagram video that showed her dancing on Wednesday, January 4, and referring to herself as a "cancer slayer" as she nears the end of radiation treatment for breast cancer. "Radiation is tiring," she captioned the video that showed her doing choreography to Pitbull's "Fuego" while dressed in loose gray sweatpants and a black T-shirt. "It builds up within you and sometimes one just struggles to keep their eyes open. You can see how tired I am here but I'm still moving!! Any movement is so good during treatment, not just for the body, but for your mind as well. #cancerslayer" The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, who has documented her fight with breast cancer on social media, later shared a pic of herself near the radiation machine -- which she's nicknamed Maggie -- at the hospital. "I've seen Maggie five days a week for what seems like forever, the 45-year-old wrote. "We have a love-hate relationship. I love her because she's part of the lifesaving treatment I'm receiving. It's astounding how far we have come with technology. One day, Maggie will be retired and the cure will be found. Things like immunotherapy are the future but for now.... it's me and Maggie. I'm seeing her twice tomorrow so that I can wrap this phase up faster. Goodnight sweet Maggie. See ya tomorrow. #cancerslayer" Doherty revealed in August 2015 that she'd been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy and chemotherapy, losing her hair before she began radiation treatment in November. She has been supported through this battle by her husband, Kurt Iswarienko, and friends including Chelsea Handler, Sarah Michelle Gellar and her 90210 costar Jennie Garth. (US Weekly)

Angelina Jolie Claims Brad Pitt "Is Terrified the Public Will Learn the Truth" in New Court Filing. The war of words between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie continues. TMZ reports that the Oscar winner claims her ex is insistent on sealing divorce documents because he's "terrified that the public will learn the truth," according to the latest court documents. The development comes on the heels of a motion filed by the Allied actor's lawyers asking a judge to seal records Jolie filed involving their temporary custody agreement for their six children. Weeks earlier, his camp filed a request for an emergency hearing to seal the documents, though a judge denied the request as it was not considered an emergency. On the second motion, his lawyers alleged in the filing that Jolie and her attorneys had "exposed the children by making public the names of their therapists and other mental health professionals." Jolie "appears to be determined to ignore even agreed upon standards relating to the children's best interest and she is attempting to clear the way to put in the public eye any allegations she can, without regard to the impact on the minor children," the documents stated. According to TMZ, the Maleficent star has since agreed to make such files private, but she also claims in the newest paperwork that Pitt, in blaming her for exposing their kids' information, is trying to "deflect from [his] own role in the media storm which has engulfed the parties' children." "There is little doubt that [Brad] would prefer to keep the entire case private, particularly given the detailed investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dept. of Children and Family Services into allegation of abuse," Jolie's documents continue. "He has been cleared after thorough investigations by both FBI and Child Services, which included [Jolie's] cooperation," a source close to the actor told E! News. "Clearly her claims were considered in reaching those conclusions and if she held back information, which she didn't, then isn't she then not representing the best interests of her children by holding it back?" "Thankfully, after four months of on record statements, leaks and unnecessary and intrusive filings, she is coming around to realizing that confidentiality is actually in the best interests of her children and family," the source added. Well, it just got real ... Chris Brown's daughter, Royalty, is now smack in the middle of his beef with Soulja Boy -- and Soulja's the one who put her there. SB just posted a pic of 2-year-old Royalty with Floyd Mayweather and TheMoneyTeam tags on it -- making it seem like Chris' little girl wants to see Daddy get his ass whooped. To say, "low blow" ... would be an understatement. Here's the thing -- Soulja didn't put the Floyd tags on the pic. Chris' baby mama, Nia Guzman, did ... Soulja just reposted it. So, does Nia want Chris to get his ass kicked? Probably. But we spoke to her, and she says her Royalty pic had nothing to do with Chris and Soulja's celeb boxing match. Nia says she and the kid have been hanging out with Floyd recently ... and "Floyd is investing in Royalty's future." Hmmm ... As you can imagine, Chris is PISSED off and making it very clear to Soulja ... leave my daughter out of this -- but with much more colorful language. (TMZ)

United Airlines Operations called 911 and said the flight was 10 minutes from landing in L.A. and someone was in distress. TMZ broke the story, Carrie's heart stopped beating and passengers with CPR training revived her, although she didn't even have a pulse for 10 minutes. Carrie never regained consciousness and died days after at UCLA Medical Center. You hear the desperation in the 911 call. It appears the pilot accelerated to land even sooner than scheduled. (TMZ)

Jennifer Lopez just got a restraining order against a guy she claims has been stalking her ... and even worse, he's got a violent past. J Lo filed legal docs Wednesday claiming Timothy McLanahan has followed her from L.A. to Vegas, attended her shows and sent unwanted mail and flowers. She says he's already been arrested for showing up at her home in L.A. and trespassing on her property. Lopez's bodyguard claims in the docs McLanahan is a transient who has been arrested for threats and firearms violations. J Lo says she's fearful for herself and her twins. A judge granted a temporary restraining order, requiring McLanahan to stay 100 yards clear of the Lopez fam. (TMZ)

Lady Gaga and Katy Perry Are Now Involved in the Legal Battle Between Kesha and Dr. Luke. Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are now a part of the legal battle between Kesha and Dr. Luke. Though the "TiK ToK" singer dropped the sexual assault lawsuit against the producer (real name Lukasz Gottwald) in the state of California in August, she is still moving forward with it in New York. On Wednesday, E! News obtained new court documents from a status hearing on December 26, which includes new evidence. The documents claim the judge received and sealed a text message sent from Kesha to Lady Gaga in April 2016, which Dr. Luke is able to share with Mother Monster as well as Katy Perry. The docs state, "Gottwald may share with Lady Gaga and Katy Perry the April 2016 text that Kesha sent to Lady Gaga, which Kesha turned over in discovery." However, the context of the text message, what is says or how it will assist in the legal battle will remain confidential. It's up to both parties' attorneys whether the texts will be unveiled in court. Meanwhile, Kesha sued the producer in 2014, claiming sexual assault and battery and seeking to invalidate recording contracts she had signed with him. However, in a countersuit, he called her allegations "defamatory" and claimed he was being extorted. Kesha sought a preliminary injunction that would allow her to release music outside of Dr. Luke's authority; however, a judge denied the request in February. After dismissing her lawsuit against Dr. Luke in California, her lawyer explained she plans to appeal the February judgement and move forward with other legal claims in New York. And while Perry has remained quiet on the topic, Gaga has voiced her support for Kesha. In March, Gaga stood up for Kesha in a radio interview with Carson Daly. "I feel like she's being very publicly shamed for something that happens in the music industry all the time, to women and men," she said. "I just want to stand by her side because I can't watch another woman that went through what I've been through suffer." (Eonline)

Virgin America's firing back at James and Amber Marchese ... saying the 'Real Housewives' couple lied about a fight in which James allegedly choked Amber and even threatened to kill her. Virgin has responded to the Marcheses' defamation lawsuit with a countersuit, claiming a flight attendant heard James tell Amber as they were boarding, "If you want to be on equal f****** playing fields then carry the f****** bags." According to the countersuit, the flight attendant then saw James choke Amber, pulling her face close to him and threatening, "Bitch, if you do that again, I will f****** kill you." According to the docs ... James then pushed Amber's face away and released his grip around her neck. A passenger also complained James appeared drunk. James accused the flight attendant of being a fame whore who was making false allegations so she'd get attention, but according to the countersuit, the flight attendant didn't know who they were. TMZ broke the story ... James was yanked off the flight and arrested for domestic violence. The charges were later dropped, and James claimed in his lawsuit he and Amber did nothing to warrant getting booted from the plane. (TMZ)

Justin Bieber should never be allowed near animals again. This time, the short-attention-stricken singer appears to have palmed off his sick dog on a friend, who's now trying to scrounge up $8,000 for a lifesaving operation for the puppy. In August last year, Bieber proudly introduced his "new little fluff ball Todd" to his fans on Instagram. Later he posted a video of the preternaturally fluffy animal, wondering adoringly, "How are you real?" However, the infatuation has passed. It seems that Bieber -- who famously adopted and then dismissed a monkey, a hamster and a snake -- has given the dog to one of his dancers, C.J. Salvador. It gets worse for Todd. Salvador has created a GoFundMe page for the luckless mutt, explaining that the pooch "is a 7-month-old chow born with a birth defect called 'severe hip dysplasia.' Long story short, by the time he turns 1, he won't be able to walk, run, let alone play." Salvador says that Todd can either be put down or have a "very specialized surgery." "So I am humbly asking you to donate anything," he writes. The fundraising goal of $8,000 has been met, and the count is now up to $8,246. After this story was published online, Salvador wrote on Facebook that his family had "adopted" the dog and that he "did not ask [Bieber] for money because he has nothing to do with the situation," because the defect had only been discovered after they took the dog in. Forbes estimates that Bieber made $56 million in 2016. A rep for Bieber didn't get back to us. (Page Six)

THE OTHER STUFF . . .

Soleil Moon Frye Shows Off 26-Pound Weight Loss After Giving Birth to Her Fourth Child. New year, new Soleil Moon Frye! The Punky Brewster star gave birth to her fourth child, Story, in May, and since then she has been trying to lose the weight she gained during pregnancy. To help kick start her weight loss journey, Frye turned to a popular weight loss program. "I feel amazing. I have been so fortunate to be blessed with four beautiful children," she tells E! News. "I want to be an active part of their lives and make sure that they see me taking care of myself. After I had Story, I turned to my friends at Nutrisystem to help me lose the baby weight and it worked once again!" Frye has dropped 26 lbs. so far and still wants to lose a few more, but she's not in any rush. Losing the baby weight has never been the main priority for Frye. "We're a family, we eat together, we play together. After each pregnancy, I lost weight the healthy way," she explains. "I need to lead by example. I'm not going to starve myself in front of my kids." "I've said before that I don't feel like we should feel forced to do something or forced to get back in shape immediately. And I didn't," she adds. "I spent that much needed time with Story before I even thought about getting my body back. It's different for everyone. All I can say is find something that works for you. Nutrisystem worked for me." The 40-year-old actress says her four kids, Story, Poet Sienna Rose, and Jagger Joseph Blue and Lyric Sonny Roads are her main motivation to keep healthy because she wants to keep up with them and their wild antics. "They all have such amazing little personalities," she explains. "Poet is also becoming a little activist and going after things she cares about. She has such a huge heart and is constantly giving to other people and sharing with others, and she's just an incredible kid. Jagger is my little adventurer and she's always up for a journey...Lyric is so funny. He always wants to make people laugh, he dances around, performs like crazy. He is running around and just causing total craziness everywhere he goes. It's fantastic. And Story, was just the most perfect little ending to our story. I feel like he's got this old soul." Frye certainly has her hands full, but she wants other moms to know that it's just as important to have some alone time. "I always try to encourage moms to love themselves. I think it's important to be empowered," she says. "We put everything into loving and supporting our kids, but we still have ourselves. I hope that I can inspire other mothers to make time for themselves and take the steps toward living a happier, healthier life." Sometimes, though, you have to cheat on your diet. But Frye says her plan means she can cheat without the guilt. "I've always been a big fan of sweets, so it's hard for me to give them up completely when dieting," she confesses to us. Kendall Jenner Gets a Butt Tattoo for V Magazine. Kendall Jenner is getting a bit edgy in her latest modeling gig. The 21-year-old is one of six women -- including Joan Smalls, Amber Valletta, Lara Stone, Ellen Rosa, and Carolyn Murphy -- to be featured on the multiple covers for V magazine's January 2017 issue. Each cover maintains a theme regarding the "eternalness of tattoos in an industry known for constant change." In fact, the issue chronicles the choices each cover girl has made in her life that reflect a personal rebelliousness for them. Styled by Paul Cavaco, Kendall poses for photographer Mario Testino, wearing an off-the-shoulder black and white top with nothing but a pair of thong underwear. With dark, smokey eyes and long extensions, the supermodel shows off a massive snake tattoo on her upper thigh as a tattoo artist appears to continue the ink along her booty. Kendall also opens up to the publication about various rebellious moments in the industry, including why she believes Rihanna is the queen of the rebels. "She manages to pull everything off," Kendall gushed about the singer. "She can do no fashion wrong!" Meanwhile, Kendall has opened up about her rebellious moments in the past -- you know, like that nipple piercing no one can get enough of. The model is no longer afraid to show it off, often donning see-through attire these days that pay it justice, but she did try to keep it a little under the radar at first. "I was going through a period in my life, having a rough time, being a rebel and was like 'Let's just do it,'" she explained in an interview with Page Six in 2015. However, she definitely admitted to getting nervous beforehand. "[I was] so terrified, I'm laying on the bed like 'Why am I doing this,'" she dished. "Honestly, it hurt, but wasn't as bad as everyone made it seem and maybe because everyone hyped it up and I thought it would be really, really bad. Then it wasn't as bad as I expected." (Eonline)

Even after an extended break from social media, Kim Kardashian West's selfie game is strong. The 36-year-old reality star, who posted for the first time Tuesday after a self-imposed break from social media following her October robbery in Paris, took to Snapchat on Wednesday with two photos. Kardashian West shared a long overdue selfie featuring a cameo from her mother, Kris Jenner, 61. The wife of Kanye West, sporting a lip ring she rocked at her family's Christmas Eve party, threw up a peace sign with a fierce look while her mother smiled for the camera in the background. "First selfie of 2017 w my mama," she captioned the shot. Before the selfie, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shared a photo of her ripped jeans, simply captioning the pic, "Torn." Kardashian West returned to Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat on Tuesday following a three-month hiatus. The Selfish author took to Instagram with a sweet family photo on Tuesday featuring West, 1-year-old son Saint and 31/2-year-old daughter North, followed by a sweet pic of herself and her son shared the next day. Also on Tuesday, Kardashian West shared a two-and-a-half-minute clip to her official app that gives fans a glimpse into life at home as of late with her husband and two children. The heartwarming moments captured in the video montage include some of Saint's first steps, North and her mom tubing in the snow and West and Saint admiring Christmas lights together in one serene scene. Shots of the couple are peppered throughout, with West and Kardashian West embracing multiple times. (People)

Melissa Gorga's lack of business experience is to blame for her boutique Envy temporarily closing in New Jersey, according to former business partner, Jackie Beard Robinson. Despite an UsWeekly report claiming the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star shut down the store over a "difference of opinion" with her partner, Robinson told TooFab the split was her decision. "Just to clarify a couple things, Melissa and I were partners. I decided that I wanted out," Robinson told TooFab's Brian Particelli. "In the termination agreement we've been working on for months, we decided that I would take all of the inventory and I was going to liquidate the store... because I basically own everything. As for what drove a wedge between the two partners, Robinson had no trouble pinpointing the issue. "You have people that quite frankly don't understand business... That's what I think ended our business relationship," Robinson said. "I think a lot of inexperience in business was her biggest issue," Robinson said. "You can only lead a horse to water, you cannot make them drink." "She could not comprehend what I was trying to do. She couldn't comprehend what the lawyers and the accountants were telling her," Robinson added. "The bottom line is: I did Melissa Gorga a favor. I cleaned out that store a month early so she could get her s--t ready," she revealed, "Now she has a month to get it ready to sell her spring clothes in February." When asked how she thought Gorga will fare on her own if and when Envy does reopen, Robinson said: "I don't know. She certainly has the draw and the people there, the interested crowd. I believe inexperience will be her biggest problem." Robinson's decision to sell some of the merchandise at Kim DePaola's rival store, Posche, angered Gorga. She and Kim D. have been publicly feuding for years. "She's angry and she's pissed at me. She thinks that I did her wrong and I went behind her back and I went with Kim D.," said Jackie. "I did not go behind her back, I am not in business with Kim D.," Robinson clarified. "I'm no way siding with Kim D. to pick on Melissa Gorga or shove it up her ass. She's going to help me liquidate this merchandise because I didn't want to do it in the store with Melissa standing over me." "I wanted [Kim's] professional opinion on what she thought I should do," Jackie added. "They're both good people and their war is with each other." While Robinson did maintain she "had a good run" working with the Bravolebrity over the last year, she claimed Gorga "did some pretty shady things too." "It was really very questionable the way she went about things," she said. "She wasn't going to be forthcoming with me. She wasn't going to give me passwords to advertise the sale and that's how we advertise -- on Instagram." Jackie said the partnership originally started out with Gorga as a face for the business, with the idea that she'd promote it on social media. "What she didn't do was do her job, properly, that's what I'm upset about," she said. "She didn't post the proper things and listen to what I had to say. She thought she knew it all, so let's let her see how she does. I wish her the best and maybe she's a lot smarter than I give her credit for." A rep for Gorga sent this statement to TooFab: "Melissa Gorga is and has always been an owner of the Envy by Melissa Gorga boutique. Melissa and her business partner Jackie Bearch Robinson have had a difference of opinion on how the store should be run and at this point Jackie is no longer involved in managing the boutique, but Melissa intends to maintain the success of the boutique by managing on it her own, and she is excited to open with a new inventory of Spring fashions." Jackie Evancho has been trolled on the Internet since agreeing to perform at the presidential inauguration, but now she's about to get a lucrative new recording contract. The 16-year-old, who shot to fame on "America's Got Talent" in 2010, had a deal with Sony Music for her album "Someday at Christmas," her publicist Kim Jakwerth told me. "But it was a one-off." When it was announced that Evancho would perform at Donald Trump's swearing-in on Jan. 20, her album shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Classical Chart, and her weekly album sales quadrupled in digital downloads. "Three record labels were suddenly courting her," Jakwerth said. "The contract could be announced next week." Anti-Trump commenters have posted "horrible cruel things" online about Evancho. "That's the world we live in," Jakwerth said. But the teenager, who performed for President Obama twice, isn't necessarily a Trump supporter. "She's doing it for her country," Jakwerth said. "She's 16. She can't vote. It's an offer that came to her, and she's excited." (Page Six)

Snoop Dogg Gives Willie Nelson the Perfect (Cough, Cough) Xmas Gift. Snoop Dogg is a great gift giver, as evidenced by the on-the-nose Christmas sweater he gave to his smoking buddy Willie Nelson. The country icon proudly displayed the weed-praising top on Twitter. The dynamic duo, who are loud and proud pot proselytizers, have long espoused the benefits of a toke and Nelson looked elated to be sporting the red sweater with the pot leaf tree and the words "Smoke Weed Everyday" across the chest. The festive $45 top from getdeez.com is, sadly sold-out for the season, so you might just have to wait until next December to snag your Snoop & Martha, Christmizzle and All I Want For Christmas is Some Gin & Juice sweaters. The gift exchange is the latest collabo between the music icons, following on the heels of their recorded duets on "My Medicine" and "Superman." (Billboard)

Nicki Minaj Confirms Relationship Status and New Music for 2017. Nicki Minaj took to Twitter Thursday morning (Jan. 5), revealing some news about her love life and plans to bless the music world with new material in the new year. "To confirm, yes I am single. Focusing on my work & looking forward to sharing it with you guys really soon," she tweeted. "Have a blessed New Year. Love u." Minaj had previously been dating Meek Mill. It seems Minaj's breakup won't have any effect on her success, though. Just last month Minaj landed her 70th hit on the Hot 100 charts -- tying with Taylor Swift for the second most among women -- with her song "Black Barbies." Despite not dropping an album in 2016, Minaj was largely present in many forms: releasing her own mobile game "Nicki Minaj: The Empire," appearing in Barbershop: The Next Cut, and doing guest vocals on multiple tracks, such as Ariana Grande's "Side To Side" which peaked at No. 4 on the Hot 100. Vince Neil and Boy George Team Up for New Task on 'The New Celebrity Apprentice'. Unlikely musical companions Boy George and Vince Neil are set to team up once more for another musical duet on the Jan. 9 episode of NBC's The New Celebrity Apprentice, and Billboard has an exclusive sneak peek. The improbable duo -- George fronts New Wave hit makers Culture Club while Neil was lead vocalist of the metal legends Motley Crue -- sing the theme song for a live health segment showcasing Welch's grape juice, while healthy lifestyle crusader and James Beard award-winning chef Rocco DiSpirito and entertainment attorney Patrick Knapp Schwarzenegger keep a watchful eye as advisors to boardroom boss (and Patrick's uncle) Arnold Schwarzenegger. George and Neil even pay homage to Welch's grape jelly, coordinated in purple as they take the stage. The task features the always entertaining Carson Kressley in an amusing turn as host with American Ninja Warrior host Mike Iseman acting as the guest. Meanwhile, Neil has trouble pronouncing the centerpiece of the segment: Is it Polyphenols? Is it Phenobarbitals, as Neil put it? The New Celebrity Apprentice airs Monday night (Jan. 9) from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on NBC. (Billboard)

Sir Tom Jones will return to the judges' lineup on The Voice this weekend, but he's still angry over being axed from the last season of the show. The Welsh singing icon says he never found out why he was dumped from the show last minute, adding that he was glad to see a slump in ratings during his absence. He told Radio Times: "I was p****d off. I never got to the bottom of who made the decision." He admits the main insult was down to the time-frame - he'd previously said he was only given 24 hours' notice. Calling the decision a "kick in the b******s", he said: "When I used to work in factories or on a building site, you'd get a week's notice at least. The 76-year-old says he was glad when he found out the show had lost two million viewers last year. "They were losing viewers and I thought, 'Well that's OK!'" he told Radio Times. Tom has been asked to return to the panel after the show was bought out by ITV, previously shown on the BBC. And despite his hard feelings over being pushed out he said he's glad to rejoin the panel as his late wife Linda would have been pleased. Tom will be joined by Jennifer Hudson, Gavin Rossdale and familiar face, Will.i.am in the show's spinning red chairs. (British Glamour)

This role could become Margot Robbie's biggest "smash" hit. The "Wolf of Wall Street" star was seen gliding across the ice at a Los Angeles-area ice rink this week as she prepares to play Tonya Harding in a new film about the notorious Olympic figure skater. Robbie -- who already has experience playing a psychotic blonde as Harley Quinn in "Suicide Squad" -- says she is working hard to learn the ice skills necessary to play the central figure in one of the most notorious sports scandals of the 1990s. The newlywed is also producer of the flick, along with British filmmaker hubby Tom Ackerley. The couple married last month in a hush-hush ceremony in Australia. "I'm really excited because I love acquiring a new skill for a role. It's one of the biggest treats of acting," she told Glamour magazine. "And on the producing side of it, if I get an injury, I'm scared I'm going to ruin everything, so I'm nervous." The film, "I, Tonya" is scheduled to premiere next year. It will tell the story of how Harding's ex-husband, Jeff Gillooly, helped hire a goon to smash Harding ice rival Nancy Kerrigan's leg in the weeks before the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. Kerrigan was able to recover and compete against Harding at the Games in a matchup that became one of TV's most-watched sporting events ever. Kerrigan went on to win the silver medal, while Harding came in eighth. Harding never admitted to a role in orchestrating the attack, but a month after the Games, she pleaded guilty to trying to cover it up and was sentenced to three years' probation and banned from skating for life. While the Harding role belongs to Robbie, 26, the role of Kerrigan is yet to be cast. Gillooly will be played by "Captain America: Civil War" star Sebastian Stan. (Page Six)

Carl Reiner Remembers Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher as "Absolutely Different People". "Debbie was so outgoing, so full of life; Carrie was pensive, as you can see by the number of books that she wrote," says the 90-year-old comedy icon, who worked with both mother and daughter. The most amazing thing is, I was watching Singin' in the Rain two days before Debbie died. There are two or three movies I watch to relax, and that's one of them. She had six weeks of dancing instruction before she did those dances with two of the greatest tap dancers in the world. That's unheard of. Debbie and I worked together in The Gazebo in 1959. I remember we had such lovely conversations, such nice feelings, she invited me to do a TV special the next year. We did a scene where I played Edward R. Murrow interviewing three great movie icons -- Zsa Zsa Gabor, Brigitte Bardot and the Italian actress Anna Magnani -- and her impressions were spot-on. I got to know Carrie when I worked with her on Sibling Rivalry in 1990. They were absolutely different people. Debbie was so outgoing, so full of life; Carrie was pensive, as you can see by the number of books that she wrote. She thought very deeply about things. One was a musical-comedy actress, the other was a serious thinker with a bit of comedy in her. I still can't believe it. When I heard that Debbie was gone, I said: "Wait, they made a mistake. They're talking about Carrie." It's just unbelievable. (Hollywood Reporter)

'Shaolin Cowboy' Returns to Comics This April. Geof Darrow's beautiful comic about an ugly killing machine begins again with 'Who'll Stop the Reign?' It's been three years, but the world is finally ready for the return of the Shaolin Cowboy. Following the January, 2014 conclusion of the critically acclaimed last series, Geof Darrow's comic book killing machine will return this spring in the brand-new four-issue series The Shaolin Cowboy: Who'll Stop The Reign? The new series will once again pair Darrow with Eisner Award-winning colorist Dave Stewart as the eponymous anti-hero continues his fight against the walking dead, out for some posthumous payback. Calling Who'll Stop The Reign? "a tale of revenge both petty and profound in origin," Darrow told THR that the new series might be a little more wordy than the [almost entirely silent] previous outing, "The last story didn't need much dialogue because the protagonist was just trying to survive and have him 'Deadpooling' while he was fighting to survive a zombie onslaught would have seemed even more ridiculous than the situations I created for him," he said. "This time he is up against enemies capable of thought, albeit just as mindless in their own way as the prior antagonists." Darrow, who's known for his beautifully precise and detailed linework, has previously worked with Frank Miller -- who provides a variant cover for the series' first issue -- and Moebius, as well as collaborating with the Wachowskis on designs for The Matrix and Speed Racer, amongst other projects. The Shaolin Cowboy: Who'll Stop The Reign? launches from Dark Horse Comics this April. (Hollywood Reporter)

'Star Wars' Braintrust Sets Meeting to Plot Leia's Life After Carrie Fisher's Death. Disney weighs options for the future of the iconic character as directors for the upcoming 'Episode VIII' and 2019's 'Episode IX' plan out how she will fit into the rest of the franchise films. Carrie Fisher's Dec. 27 death has left a disturbance in the Force. Her iconic Princess Leia is set to appear in the next two Star Wars films, and insiders tell The Hollywood Reporter that at least two key scenes are planned for Episode VIII (Dec. 15) and Episode IX (2019): a Leia reunion with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and a confrontation with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), her son who killed Harrison Ford's Han Solo in 2015's The Force Awakens. Details of where those scenes fit into the movies remain unclear, but insiders say Leia was to have been a bigger part of Episode IX than VIII. Episode VIII director Rian Johnson has finished shooting, but Episode IX doesn't have a start date; both Force Awakens and Episode VIII began production at the beginning of a year so it is very likely that Episode IX will begin shooting in early 2018 for a December 2019 release. And the status of its script, being written by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, is unknown. (Disney won't comment.) Trevorrow, the filmmaker behind Jurassic World who is directing Episode IX, is due to arrive in L.A. the week of Jan. 10 for meetings with Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy to discuss options. But unlike in other cases where actors died during the filmmaking process -- Paul Walker in Furious 7 comes to mind -- it appears that the team has time to explore solutions. (As well as time to grieve. As one insider puts it, "People are still deeply mourning Carrie's death over there.") Leia could be written out and her scenes reshot, options not unheard of in the Star Wars universe. Rogue One went through a major overhaul and was met with glowing reviews and blockbuster box office. Episode VIII also went through a major rewrite with Johnson, who had to overhaul his script after he saw the significant changes J.J. Abrams made to the overarching Star Wars story thanks to his extensive postproduction work during Force Awakens. (Johnson had based his script on Force Awakens' earlier drafts.) Another solution is to use CGI effects; a reduced role could mean Leia would only appear in glimpses. "Rogue One is the road map," says one Star Wars source, referring to Lucasfilm resurrecting Peter Cushing and making Fisher young again in the current hit. "I have no doubt, given some of the recent work I've seen, there are filmmakers who will be willing to take up the challenge," says Michael Fink, an Oscar-winning VFX supervisor who teaches at USC. But, "so far, we have seen moments of success but not full performances." He says there's also ethics to weigh: "Should we create additional roles for Princess Leia? I don't think so." Alexis Bledel Joins The Handmaid's Tale: Goodbye Stars Hollow, Hello Gilead. Alexis Bledel is moving out of Stars Hollow to Gilead. The Gilmore Girls veteran is the latest cast member to join the all-star cast of The Handmaid's Tale, Hulu's drama based on the best-selling novel by Margaret Atwood. This is Bledel's first TV role since Netflix's Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life returned in November 2016. She previously starred as Rory Gilmore in the original run of the series from 2000-2007. In 2012 she did several episodes of Mad Men, and in 2009 she appeared in the series finale of ER. In The Handmaid's Tale, Elisabeth Moss stars as Offred, a Handmaid in the Commander's household. She's one of the only remaining fertile women left in the dystopia of Gilead, a society formerly part of the United States, and was forced into sexual servitude. Environmental disasters and a low birthrate have caused the leaders of Gilead to treat women as property of the state. But Offred has one goal, to stay alive and find the daughter who was taken from her. The world of Gilead consists of Handmaids, Commanders and their Wives, and domestic Marthas. Bledel will play Ofglen, Offred's fellow handmaid and companion. At first, Offred thinks Ofglen is a pious rule-follower, but naturally there's a twist and it turns out Ofglen is just as daring and subversive. Bledel will appear in a recurring capacity. The cast also includes Joseph Fiennes, Chuck's Yvonne Strahovski, Orange Is the New Black veteran Samira Wiley, The Mindy Project's Max Minghella, OITNB's Madeline Brewer, The Leftovers' Ann Dowd and O-T Fagbenle. Bruce Miller serves as creator, executive producer and writer. Fargo's Warren Littlefield, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears and Empire's Illene Chaiken are also on board as executive producers. Reed Morano will direct and executive produce the first three episodes. Season one is currently shooting in Toronto, Canada. The 10-episode first season kicks off Wednesday, April 26 on Hulu. Prince Liam's Frustration With His Brother and Kathryn Builds in a Tense Clip From The Royals. Prince Liam (William Moseley) is waging a silent war. In this sneak peek from Sunday's all-new episode of The Royals, his quiet frustration with his brother, Prince Robert (Max Brown), over Kathryn (Christina Wolfe) continues to build during a game of darts. "It's harder than I imagined settling back in," Robert confesses to Liam. "I miss dad. I wish he was here now [to] help guide us through. As least I've still got you." He continues, "Mom's been filling me in on everything you've been doing, all your charity work. I'm proud of you. She thought maybe I should take it over considering my military service." "Sure, take it," Liam responds solemnly. "[It] makes sense." Robert then reveals he saw Kathryn earlier that day. "It was nice," he admits as Liam wildly misses his target. "I thought you said you'd been practicing," Robert teases. The older prince then hits the bullseye three times in a row. "Game!" he announces. "At least some things never change." (Eonline)

Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds' Bright Lights Is the Perfect Parting Gift for (and to) the Hollywood Icons. Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds is a perfect parting gift, both for two Hollywood icons and their legions of fans. It honors their lives and legacies in equal parts, blemishes and all. The HBO documentary, shot in 2014 and 2015 (it ends with Debbie Reynolds receiving the 2016 SAG Life Achievement Award), follows Carrie Fisher and mother Reynolds through everyday life, which in the case of Reynolds and Fisher means Las Vegas shows, comic book conventions, rehearsing for Star Wars and selling millions of dollars' worth of Hollywood memorabilia. Chances are since you're reading this you have an interest in Reynolds and Fisher. You know that Fisher, author, screenwriter and actress known as General (formerly Princess) Leia Organa to millions of Star Wars fans around the world, passed away at the age of 60 on December 27, four days after suffering a cardiac episode on a flight from London where she was filming season three of Catastrophe. Reynolds, who shot to fame with Singin' in the Rain, The Unsinkable Molly Brown and Tammy and the Bachelor, passed away at 84 years old the following day after suffering a stroke. Reynolds' son Todd Fisher told E! News after her passing that, "She went to be with Carrie. In fact, those were the last words that she spoke this morning. More specifically, she said that she really, she was under a lot of stress." Bright Lights is a fitting end to their Hollywood story. "I think I'm my mom's best friend," Fisher said in the doc. "More than a daughter." Through family videos, photos and new interviews, Bright Lights recounts the Hollywood duo's ups and downs: Reynolds' husband, Eddie Fisher, leaving her for Elizabeth Taylor; Fisher's struggle with drugs and subsequent bipolar diagnosis; Fisher's film Postcards From the Edge that was based on their relationship; Reynolds' marriage to Harry Karl; Reynolds' refusal to stop performing, Fisher's return to Star Wars, etc. It's a fascinating look at a family all too familiar to viewers. It feels revealing and intimate, a behind-the-curtains look at legends who spent their lives on red carpets and in front of cameras. "I share everything with my daughter, especially the check," Reynolds cracked to the cameras. The love the two had for one another is crystal clear throughout. You will be hard pressed not to well up as the film comes to an end and Fisher sings to her mother during Reynolds' final Las Vegas show, followed by a scene with Fisher cracking under pressure and crying while working with SAG Awards producers on making sure her ailing mother had a place to lay down in secret when she accepted the 2015 lifetime achievement honors. You will think about your mom in that moment. You will feel their love. Bright Lights is the essential tribute to Fisher and Reynolds and for one another -- it's truly a love letter between the subjects, and between the subjects and their loyal fans. Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds premieres Saturday, Jan. 7 at 8p.m. on HBO. (Eonline)

Girl Meets World Has Been Canceled by Disney Channel. Here's some news to sour your Wednesday: Girl Meets World has officially been canceled. A few days after Rider Strong stirred up rumors of the show's demise, the show's writers tweeted the announcement Wednesday evening, saying "It is with incredible pride in our work and complete sadness that things end, that I report to this wonderful audience that our show is over. I just officially got the call, and would like to thank this audience for its incredible love and loyalty. Please watch our January episodes." "We leave you with three incredible souvenirs of a show we couldn't be more proud of," they continued. "As I look back I can tell you with absolute certainty -- we gave you our best." If you're crying, don't feel bad about it. We're crying a little bit, too. For a show about kids and teens on the Disney Channel, Girl Meets World was funny, poignant, and both topical and nostalgic, and it will be missed. Luckily, the season three finale, which will now serve as the series finale, is going to be the ultimate nostalgia party because all of your Boy Meets World faves are coming back for a reunion. Eric (Will Friedle), Shawn (Rider Strong), Mr. Feeny (William Daniels), Mr. Turner (Anthony Tyler Quinn), Cory's parents (William Russ and Betsy Randle), Minkus (Lee Norris), and both Morgans (Lindsay Ridgeway and Lily Nicksay) will all be appearing in the final episode, fittingly titled "Girl Meets Goodbye," which airs Friday, Jan. 20. The episode finds the Matthews family contemplating a "life-changing decision." "We are proud that for over 70 episodes, Michael Jacobs, April Kelly and the talented creative team, cast and crew entertained viewers with an authentic and heartfelt look at navigating adolescence," Disney Channel said in a statement. Girl Meets World returns for its final three episodes this Friday, Jan. 6 with a one-hour special at 6 p.m. on Disney Channel. (Eonline)

Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter "Crying" Over Girl Meets World's Cancellation. Girl Meets World changed everything for Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter. The actresses, who play Riley Matthews and Maya Hart, took to Instagram after the show's writers confirmed that the hit series' current third season would ultimately be its last. In a statement, Disney Channel confirmed the cancellation, telling E! News, "We are proud that for over 70 episodes, Michael Jacobs, April Kelly and the talented creative team, cast and crew entertained viewers with an authentic and heartfelt look at navigating adolescence." The final episode, titled "Girl Meets Goodbye," will air Friday, Jan. 20. Girl Meets World also starred Danielle Fishel, Corey Fogelmanis, Ava Kolker, August Maturo, Peyton Meyer, Amir Mitchell-Townes and Ben Savage. Many Boy Meets World actors -- including William Daniels, Will Friedle, Lee Norris and Rider Strong -- reprised their roles. In an Instagram update, Blanchard tried to put into words how she was feeling about the future. "I have tried to go in and write this many times in preparation for this moment that I feared might come," the actress, 15, said. "I will never be able to put into words my gratitude for Michael Jacobs, the creator of our world, for bring us together -- by all, I mean us and you." Being on the popular reboot "is the most significant event in my life thus far," Blanchard continued. "It changed absolutely every aspect of it, and takes up most of the life I am able to remember. It is with this cast family I experienced mourning and heartbreak and overjoying and long days that turned into long nights, each and every moment so painstakingly beautiful." Starring in a show during her formative years has been "so indescribably cosmic and scary," she said, "but you do it because you love these people, because this has become your routine, because it is the closest you will get to being in real school, etc. I am crying typing this because yes, we were making a show, but our lives turned into a movie. We dressed as The Breakfast Club, hid under stairwells to tell each other about our crushes, sobbed together when we suffered the death of our teacher...These are things you don't forget. That I will never forget." "I am trying to explain to myself these moments are forever. That this energy must amount to something much greater than a simple end," she said, adding that she is "endlessly indebted" to the crew for allowing them to laugh and play, and "for hugging us and bringing us tissues and allowing us to jump on the set couches until we fell on our heads (or maybe that was just me)." "As for you, well, I don't know where to begin," the teen actress told her 4.8 million followers. "I am so honored to call you our audience. You allowed a dream to breathe. You have given us so much, you give so much, and for that we genuinely will never be able to repay you. Thank you for the parents who brought your kids to our shows, thank you to the kids for watching us. There is so much power in an audience that goes unsaid. Everything we did was in effort to give you the lessons we thought you deserved, that we knew you needed. We tried to represent you as best we could, but more than that, we aimed to be accepted by you. Thank you for that." Blanchard added that she was comforted to know that the characters on Girl Meets World reflect real friendships throughout the world. "If we have ever become the reason for a friendship, or heightened one, then goodness, thank God, we did our job," she told her fans. "Please continue to watch the show. To talk about it. Teens determine and influence all of this in general, and I hope and think our show reflects you for how you are: brave, opinionated, devoted, dynamic, loving, nurturing and powerful," said Blanchard, who stars in A Wrinkle in Time. "People, more than often adults who have forgotten their power, will tell you differently and I hope that this is when you turn to our show, which is now your show. I will continue to fight to not be talked down to by the shows and books and movies that are aimed towards us." Admitting she's upset with Disney Channel's cancellation decision, the actress wrote, "I am sorry that this channel is just not able to understand that (don't think that for a moment this happened because of you). But I know what we are capable of. I know very well what we did. I am above all humbled to know I belong to such an extraordinary generation. What an honor." In conclusion, Blanchard said she was "filled with gratitude," telling her fans, "I love you. I love this cast. I love this crew I love Riley. I love this world we made. I love that it is now your world." Friedle, meanwhile, summed up his feelings with a single tweet. "I tip my glass to the cast and crew of GMW," the actor, who played Eric Matthews, wrote. "You did us proud. I love you all." After reading Blanchard's note, he told his Twitter fans, "Beautiful words. Forever my niche..." Like Blanchard, Carpenter also shared her thoughts via Instagram. "We speak in the language of love, heartbreak, friendship, family, sadness, and laughter. Wherever we are in the world, whatever we believe in, whoever we love, we all speak that language," the 17-year-old actress explained. "We had the privilege of growing up in front of your eyes. The privilege of teaching the lessons we were learning ourselves and beyond that." "To the family that was created on our set, between the cast and crew, thank you for giving us the ability to make mistakes and to grow. I felt so safe in that bay window. People thought it was weird that I was excited to go to work," the teen star continued. "People thought it was weird that we really did and still do love each other. That's a rare entity, we hold that tight." Carpenter thanked the network for green-lighting the show in 2013 and giving the "characters the chance to see the light of day. I know I feel very lucky to have given life to Maya Hart." Jacobs, meanwhile, got a special shout-out. "Without you I wouldn't know most of what I do," the actress confessed. "I also probably would have never had two paint fights in my lifetime." "We live in an intricate world. We can be adversaries whilst being allies. To everyone that watched our show and felt something, thank you," Carpenter wrote. "To everyone that grew up watching Boy Meets World and decided to give our story for a new generation a chance, thank you. And to the little girls reading this, you can do whatever you put your mind to. You're gonna meet the world now, and I think you'll love it. Quoting the late filmmaker Federico Fellini, the actress added, "There is no end. There is no beginning. There is only the infinite passion of life." (Eonline)

Is Benson Retiring? How Law & Order: SVU's Latest Case Impacts the Character. Law & Order: SVU without Benson? Perish the thought. In "Next Chapter," Benson (Mariska Hargitay) was shocked to learn her boyfriend, Tucker (Robert John Burke), was flirting with the idea of retirement. What would he do? Nothing, he said. A cop without a badge. Throughout the episode, Benson struggled with the idea of retiring and what being a cop does to people, thanks to the case of the week. The episode followed Quinn (Annie Monroe), a young professional at a consulting firm, who was sexually assaulted by a masked man she believed was her college stalker, Ray Wilson (Ben Cole). However, Ray had an airtight alibi, despite evidence at the scene stating otherwise. He was framed. Was it her over-zealous coworker? Nope, it was retired cop Sgt. Tom Cole (True Blood's Chris Bauer). With the cops onto him, he kidnapped Quinn, but Benson and Carisi (Peter Scanavino) weren't far behind. The episode ended with Sgt. Cole revealing his motives to Benson -- he felt Quinn was ungrateful for all he's done in helping her through the years with her stalker -- and an intense standoff. Sgt. Cole got the jump on Carisi and held him at gunpoint. But because it's SVU, Benson saved the day, taking out the gunman. "Quinn, this is not your fault," Benson told Quinn. "You hear me? Guys like Cole, they're predators. They look for light and they look for goodness and they try to steal it. But promise me, you will not blame yourself for this?" Throughout the episode, Carisi, who is the youngest cop on the squad, and Benson discussed the idea of the "next chapter" and how being a police officer changes somebody. "Maybe all those years on the job, dealing with the worst of the worst," Carisi said when trying to explain Sgt. Cole's actions. "I mean, how do you come out of that clean?" "No, being a cop didn't change him," Benson said. "He was always bad, it just took time to come out." "Lieutenant, thank you for helping me out back there. I owe you one. I hope this doesn't make you want to retire," Carisi said. "Nope," Benson said. "The exact opposite." As season 17 of SVU came to a close in the spring of 2016, Hargitay was candid about her commitment to the long-running drama. "My heart -- I just was actually emailing with Dick [Wolf] today -- because my heart is so in it and I am so committed, not only because of the show, but I feel so grateful to be an actor and doing every single day what I love to do. So I feel grateful in that, but also, obviously, how the show has changed lives and how it's inspired me to start Joyful Heart. And each year the way I see the society truly changing," she said. "I really think that things are shifting and awareness is shifting...That sort of reinvests me and reinvigorates me." Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesdays, 9 p.m. on NBC. (Eonline)

The writers' room account announced in a series of tweets, "It is with incredible pride in our work, and complete sadness that things end, that I report to this wonderful audience that our show is over. I just officially got the call, and would like to thank this audience for its incredible love and loyalty. Please watch our January episodes. We leave you with three incredible souvenirs of a show we couldn't be more proud of. As I look back I can tell you with absolute certainty we gave you our best." Rowan Blanchard, who stars as Cory and Topanga Matthews' daughter Riley, penned a long note about how Girl Meets World was "the most significant event" in her life so far. "Doing a show in general, specifically doing a show as a child into your teenhood, is so indescribably cosmic and scary, but you do it because you love these people, because this has become your routine, because it is the closest you will ever get to being in real school, etc.," she wrote on Instagram. "I am crying typing this because yes, we were making a show, but our lives turned into a movie." The 15-year-old actress explained how the cast and crew had formed a close bond since they started filming the Boy Meets World spinoff in 2014. "You don't realize how rare that is. I am so endlessly indebted to them for forgiving us when we couldn't get through takes without laughing, for forgiving us when we annoyingly asked, 'When's lunch?' even though we knew it was at twelve, for hugging us and bringing us tissues and allowing us to jump on the set couches until we fell on our heads (or maybe that was just me)." Blanchard concluded, "I love you. I love this cast. I love this crew. I love Riley. I love this world we made. I love that it is now your world." Sabrina Carpenter, who plays Maya Hart, shared a photo of the entire cast and her own tribute to her time on the show. "We had the privilege of growing up in front of your eyes. The privilege of teaching the lessons we were learning ourselves, and beyond that. To the family that was created on our set, between the cast and crew, thank you for giving us the ability to make mistakes and to grow," Carpenter, 17, wrote. "To everyone that watched our show and felt something, thank you. To everyone that grew up watching Boy Meets World and decided to give our story for a new generation a chance, thank you. And to the little girls reading this, You can do whatever you put your mind to." The heartbreak was also felt by August Maturo, who plays Auggie Matthews. The 9-year-old shared a photo of a little girl talking to God and saying, "But I love this, God." In the photo, God responds, "Just trust me, I have better for you." (US Weekly)

The negotiations over Megyn Kelly's move to NBC were so secretive that only a handful of the network's top-tier talent was let in on the news just before it was announced to the public. We're told that even the notoriously territorial Matt Lauer and just-renewed "Today" show figurehead Savannah Guthrie were only told about their high-profile new colleague on the morning that the story broke. Sources said Lauer "blew a gasket," which NBC insiders deny. Also given the heads-up were MSNBC's "Meet the Press" anchor Chuck Todd and "NBC Nightly News" anchor Lester Holt. Other staff found out when it hit the wires. We're told NBC News chairman Andy Lack kept "Today" exec Noah Oppenheim in the loop on Kelly's jump from Fox News, sparking strong speculation that she could end up on the 9?a.m. hour of "Today," which has been left open after hapless former anchor Billy Bush was pushed out. NBC has said that Kelly will work on a "daily daytime show" and a Sunday news magazine. (Page Six)

Tucker Carlson Takes Megyn Kelly's Primetime Fox News Slot. Kelly called the move a "great decision" and congratulated Carlson on Twitter. Martha MacCallum will get the 7 p.m. slot vacated by Carlson. Fox News Channel has named Tucker Carlson host of the 9 p.m. ET time slot, replacing the vacating Megyn Kelly. Carlson will take over beginning Monday, Jan. 9. Rupert Murdoch, executive chairman of 21st Century Fox and executive chairman of Fox News, made the announcement on Thursday, two days after Kelly revealed she would be leaving the network after 12 years to take a multi-platform deal at NBC News. It is a noticeably swift transition for Murdoch, who continues to call the shots at Fox News in the wake of the ouster last summer of Roger Ailes. And it is obviously a big promotion for Carlson, 47, who has been a consistent media figure for years; he was a host of CNN's Crossfire, among the first cable news shows to pit the right and left. He also did a stint at MSNBC and in 2010 co-founded The Daily Caller with former Dick Cheney aide Neil Patel. He's been a political contributor on Fox News since 2009 and joined the evening lineup in November, taking over the 7 p.m. slot, which was temporarily being filled by Brit Hume in the wake of Greta Van Susteren's abrupt exit last September. Carlson's program, Tucker Carlson Tonight, was an immediate hit for the network, averaging 2.8 million viewers and 515,000 in the critical 25-54 demographic. The show will continue to broadcast live from the Fox News Washington bureau. "In less than two months, Tucker has taken cable news by storm with his spirited interviews and consistently strong performance. Viewers have overwhelmingly responded to the show and we look forward to him being a part of Fox News' powerful primetime lineup," said Murdoch in a statement. Drudge Report was first to report the news. Additionally, Martha MacCallum will take over the 7 p.m. slot, also effective Jan. 16. MacCallum's show, The First 100 Days, will track the beginning of the Trump administration. She will also co-anchor the network's inauguration coverage alongside Bret Baier, the network's chief political anchor. No word on how MacCallum's show will evolve beyond Trump's first few months in the White House, but MacCallum just finalized a multi-year deal to remain at Fox News. (Baier's 6 p.m. show will expand to two hours next week to fill the 7-8 p.m. hour vacated by Carlson.) "Martha is a versatile and skilled anchor who has proven to be an essential component of our news programming. For the last 12 years, our viewers have trusted her reporting and we are pleased she will be part of our primetime lineup for the first 100 days of the new presidency," Murdoch added. Prior to the announcement, there was speculation that Fox News executives would seek to put a woman in Kelly's 9 p.m. slot. But Carlson's show has been a clear ratings winner for Fox News. When Kelly goes -- her last day is Friday, Jan. 6 -- the network will be losing its No. 2 star, after Bill O'Reilly, who has been the lynchpin in the Fox News lineup for two decades. He's had the most-watched cable news show for the past 14 years. Kelly took to Twitter Thursday morning to congratulate Carlson. "Congratulations to my friend @TuckerCarlson on moving to the 9p slot at Fox! This is a great decision by FNC & I will be cheering him on!" she tweeted. (Hollywood Reporter)

500 Scripted Shows?! How Netflix, Amazon Are Sending Originals to All-Time Highs. Thank the streamers for another record year (455 original series aired in 2016) as Netflix leads the growth amid broadcast and cable cutbacks. A record 455 scripted original series aired in 2016, and Peak TV may not have hit its actual peak yet. A Dec. 21 study from FX Networks found the annual tally jumped another 8 percent year-over-year and a whopping 137 percent from just a decade ago. And the biggest gains came from such streaming services as Netflix, YouTube Red and Seeso, all of which have promised even more scripted output in 2017. (Broadcast, premium and basic cable actually slid from 2015.) "It seems very likely that the estimate will hover around 500 for the next few years," FX Networks executive vp research Julie Piepenkotter tells THR. "Growth will continue to be overwhelmingly fueled by the streaming services." With spending estimated at $6 billion on originals, it should come as little surprise that Netflix topped all five broadcast networks with a total of 43 originals. The tally illustrates the "astonishing" ease with which consumers have embraced digital delivery systems, says Piepenkotter: "The technological transformation of the past decade in media alone is arguably more dramatic than that of the half-century prior." TV Ratings: Fox's 'Star' Closer to 'Lethal Weapon' Than 'Empire' in Official Launch. Wednesday also sees a solid return for ABC's 'Match Game,' which retains its summer scores. With Fox's Empire off the dial for the rest of the winter, ABC stepped in to win the first Wednesday of 2017. The network also found another good match for the 10 p.m. hour with this past summer's Match Game. The game show revival, hosted by Alec Baldwin, nabbed a steady 1.3 rating among adults 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers in its in-season launch. That was after improved showings for all four comedies: The Goldbergs (1.7 adults), Speechless (1.7 adults), Modern Family (2.3 adults) and Black-ish (1.7 adults). Without the mighty Empire, Fox still managed to pull a solid No. 2 for the night with Lethal Weapon and the official premiere of Lee Daniels drama Star. The sister series to Empire was down 25 percent from its post-Empire sampling three weeks ago, averaging a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49 with its smaller lead-in. Still, it grew on that lead-in. Star was up slightly from Lethal Weapon, which returned to an even 1.4 rating in the key demo. NBC kicked off the night with an even Blindspot (1.1 adults), followed by a boosted Law & Order: SVU (1.5 adults) and a slightly dampened Chicago P.D. (1.5 adults). On CBS, Undercover Boss nabbed an even 1.2 rating among adults 18-49 before new outings of Criminal Minds (1.3 adults) and Code Black (1.0 adults). Frequency was the only new entry for The CW. It took a 0.2 rating among adults 18-49. (Hollywood Reporter)

'CBS This Morning' Execs Talk Ratings, Keeping the Anchor Team Together and Donald Trump. "I expect us to be in second place" in the morning, says executive producer Ryan Kadro as the CBS News morning show marks five years on the air. CBS This Morning, launched as a sober alternative to rivals at ABC and NBC, has powered CBS News to its closest competitive position in the morning in two decades. As the show -- anchored by Gayle King, Charlie Rose and Norah O'Donnell -- prepares to mark five years on the air January 9, executives are banking on another milestone. "I expect us to be in second place," executive producer Ryan Kadro tells The Hollywood Reporter. "We continue to add viewers and attract people to the brand. A lot of it is grass roots and word-of-mouth. And that type of growth is sustainable. The other guys are more legacy brands. People have sampled them. They've made their decisions. And they continue to lose audience share." CBS This Morning has added one million viewers in the last five years. In 2012, the show was nearly three million viewers behind NBC's Today, now the difference is fewer than one million. And it recently closed out its best 4th quarter in nearly 30 years, averaging 3.7 million viewers, up 6 percent; and jumping 10 percent among women 25-54. At the same time, ABC's Good Morning America was down 6 percent among total viewers and women, while Today, the top-rated morning show was down 5 percent in the female demo. Stability seems to be paying off for CBS (and NBC). GMA is struggling to stanch declines that began more than a year ago and this season added Michael Strahan in a full-time position while also incorporating a studio audience during the last half-hour of the show. Today, meanwhile, has finalized new deals with Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie that will keep them at the flagship iteration of the show for the foreseeable future. The 9 a.m. hour, a question mark since Billy Bush was ousted last October, is still a work in progress. There is speculation that NBC News executives could give the hour to Megyn Kelly, though many inside NBC News expect Kelly to have a daytime hour, perhaps at 1 p.m. CBS This Morning's hosts have also been the topic of speculation. With Scott Pelley's future at the CBS Evening News in question, O'Donnell has been floated as the heir to the evening news chair. Executives at CBS News deny that there is any move afoot to break up their successful morning show team. (King recently signed a new $16.5 million, three-year deal to stay at CTM; executives are likely to begin re-negotiations with Rose shortly; O'Donnell's deal comes up later this year.) "We're not making any changes to a really successful team in the morning," says CBS News president David Rhodes. "People have different motivations for promoting one narrative or another. But we have a successful show. And we're going to do everything we can to keep it successful." Adds Kadro: "You don't make a talent change unless you want to make talent changes. And we don't want to make a talent change." Indeed, while the evening news broadcasts are important branding propositions. The morning shows -- with at least two hours of real estate and substantially more ad revenue potential -- underwrite much of their news divisions' operations. For CBS News, the morning show is also an important element of the CBS News brand at a time when the news industry as a whole has hit a nadir in the estimation of the public. Polarization in Washington and among viewers, as well as the scourge of blatantly false stories spread on social media, and misinformation spread by cable news talking heads (and some elected officials) have only added to the problem. But all of this, says Kadro, has "really placed an emphasis for us on good old fashioned reporting, sourcing, fact-checking and storytelling. We've been doing that for five years now. It's not something that you just pivot to, it's a cultural thing." The stunning results of the election intensified the hand ringing in media circles. "One thing I reject that sometimes comes from the left is that the media isn't or didn't do enough 'fact checking,'" says Rhodes. "I don't think the election was some sort of information failure. I think people had the information they needed to make a decision and they did. Some people prefer some facts to others. I'm not sure it's our role to do something about that." Meanwhile, the media is still left to speculate about how a Trump administration will upend age-old Washington protocols. Incoming chief of staff Reince Priebus has suggested an end to the daily White House press briefings as Trump has been filling out his communication team, naming Sean Spicer as White House press secretary. Spicer is an experienced -- and combative -- Washington insider who has been with the RNC since 2011, the appointment offers some clarity for news organizations. But how accessible Trump himself will be is still an unknown. He has said he will hold a press conference on Jan. 11. But he abruptly canceled a long-planned press conference last December. If next week's presser takes place, it will be Trump's first on-the-record back-and-forth with the media since July. For CBS This Morning, the goal is more interviews at the table with all three anchors questioning the guest. The show was among the few that did not allow Trump to call in during the campaign, instead insisting that he appear in the studio. Kadro says president-elect Trump is his top get for 2017. "It's all about the chemistry at that table," he says. "That's when the show really comes alive." Meanwhile, with the inauguration on Jan. 20, and several potentially fraught cabinet nomination hearings on the horizon, the industry is girding for a tumultuous year. "Our gains in 2016 were solid and incremental," explains Rhodes. "Cable showed a lot more spikes in viewership around specific events that are not recurring. Even if it's going to be a busy news environment in 2017, those scheduled events are not coming back. I think that bodes well for our approach." And he's not worried about the relationship with president-elect Trump. "For all of the discomfort some people might have, you have to say that the president-elect is a voracious media consumer," says Rhodes. "So what's wrong with that?" (Hollywood Reporter)
