Mandy Moore Is Engaged to Musician Taylor Goldsmith. Mandy Moore is engaged! The This Is Us star's boyfriend, Dawes musician Taylor Goldsmith, proposed after two years of dating. Moore was spotted wearing what appears to be an engagement ring at Caffe Luxxe in L.A.'s Brentwood neighborhood Tuesday. Moore and Goldsmith celebrated their anniversary just a few months ago, with the actress dedicating a sweet post to her now-fiance on social media. "The best 2 years," Mandy penned. "Never not smiling with you, T." All eyes will be on the newly engaged beauty as she's expected to attend the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday, presumably with a dazzling diamond bauble on that finger. The soon-to-be husband and wife stepped out together months after Mandy filed for divorce from singer-songwriter Ryan Adams after six years of marriage. Their split was finalized in June 2016. Earlier this week, the actress sported an elegant diamond bauble on her ring finger as she stepped out to celebrate with a few family members. An eyewitness tells E! News, "Mandy was here yesterday afternoon with three older adults grabbing coffee. I did not notice that she had a ring on her finger, but I did notice how good of a mood she was in. Celebrities come in here all the time and she was one of the nicest and happiest." "She got a latte and paid for everyone's drinks," the eyewitness adds. "Her and the others she was with were laughing, hugging and very cheerful. It looked like they were celebrating something." The source overheard Moore express "how 'excited she was' for something as she was walking out the door. It was a very quick visit, but she had huge energy and a huge smile on her face." Moore recently revealed to People that she and Goldsmith were living together in a temporary pad as renovations took place on the home they'll soon share. Mandy's had quite a year on the career (and now romance!) front, thanks to This is Us' wildly successful first season on NBC. She told E! News playing a mom on TV has definitely influenced the 33-year-old's biological clock, so who knows what the future holds for her and Taylor. "Sure," Moore said, "but I think that's probably just in line with where I am in my life right now. The chapters have sort of lined up pretty perfectly." "It's certainly good practice because I want to be a mom one day," the celeb also told reporters at the drama's TCA panel. "Working with babies and kids and everything in between." Congratulations, you two! Marc Malkin was the first to report news of Moore's engagement. (Eonline)

Dusty Rose made her debut at Levine's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony back in Feb. 2017. During his speech, Levine told the crowd, "I have a daughter, I have the most beautiful wife in the entire world. I am one of the luckiest people who's ever lived and it has nothing to do with me. It has to do with the people who love me the most and so, I thank all of those people. I can't do it individually, but I thank you all." Congratulations to the couple and their family! (Eonline)

Jennifer Lawrence Says Motherhood Has Become Less Appealing With Age. It doesn't get more refreshing than a sit-down with J-Law! E! News' Catt Sadler sat down with mother! star Jennifer Lawrence to chat with about her highly anticipated new film, her meteoric fame and of all things -- motherhood. When asked about whether or not she's feeling the pangs of motherhood as she's getting older, the 27-year-old said, "Not at all. They are actually getting less and less as I get older, which is starting to worry me. I don't think that's how it's supposed to work!" She joked, "When I was 21 or 22 I was like, 'I can't wait to be a mother. Now I'm like... [shocked face]." Of course, it's quite possible J-Law feels put off by the thought of being a mom given the dramatic nature of her new psychological thriller, which promises to give audiences thrills and chills with its dark subject matter. During the interview she also dished on the genius of the film's director, who also just so happens to be her boyfriend, Darren Aronofsky, and how his influence got her to do a movie that she at first thought was too much. "I believed in the metaphor and the message that Darren wanted to get across," she explains. "When I first read the script I thought it's too dark. I didn't even want the script in my house and then I realized that's why he's a genius. That's why I have always wanted to work with him. He's unafraid. He's bold and I do agree with the message." Catt also spoke to the Oscar winner on what it's like to have her level of fame and how the actress deals with the world's obsession with her. "Now I have an understanding. I have a patience with [fame]. But also I get time off from it. At first it was really overwhelming and I thought, 'Is this going to be the rest of my life?'" The Kentucky native said that things go in fits and spurts, explaining, "When I am releasing a movie and it's really heavy and really intense and I just know that it will die down. People really stop caring pretty quickly." When asked if she's trying to curb her tendency to tell the truth in interviews because sometimes it lands her in hot water, the relatable star admitted, "I don't really have the ability to be different. When it bites me in the ass, it just bites me in the ass." However, she did joke, "I don't Google myself...as of four days." mother! terrifies theatergoers on Friday, Sept. 15. (Eonline)
Getting the last laugh! After fans were quick to judge Olivia Munn for posting a picture with a friend wearing a Minnesota Vikings hat following her split from Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the actress, 37, hit back at her haters by getting in on the joke. In the original photo, posted on Monday September 11, Munn posed with comedian Nick Swardson and captioned the shot "BFF." The actress' followers were quick to point out the comedian's choice of apparel in the comments section of her post. "Ok I like the revenge by being best friends w a Vikings fan lol," one user wrote, as another added: "Riiip Aaron Rodgers that dudes got a Viking cap lmao In response to the criticism, Munn made a slight change to the original post by photoshopping Rodgers onto Swardson's hat. "I should've asked @nickswardson to wear his other favorite hat," Munn wrote on Wednesday, September 13. "(Note to all friends: Please remove all sports paraphernalia whilst we hang out.)" As previously reported, the former couple split in April after three years of dating. At the time an insider told Us that the pair "went through a rough patch last summer." Their main issue, continued the source, was "that Olivia doesn't get along with his family. They think she's controlling." Swardson has previously taken a jab at Rodgers on social media. On August 27, he shared a photo of the NFL player's jersey, writing "Weird. This sporting goods store in Canada sells toilet paper. (US Weekly)
Times have changed! Patrick J. Adams has quickly learned that he can't be as open about Suits costar Meghan Markle on social media anymore. Last month, Adams, 36, shared a sweet photo of Markle, 36, kissing him on the cheek. He soon deleted the image, but didn't explain why -- until now. "I'm not good at it, I overthink every post that I put out and the ramifications and who'll be listening and how it'll be received," he told Esquire.com. "I posted this old photo I had found of Meghan and I on set. I went to bed, and woke up in the morning and realized 'Oh, yeah. I live in a world where you can't post things about Meghan.' I had this onslaught of people retweeting the thing, people thinking it was a recent picture, and I just thought, 'What the hell is going on?'" "It was such an innocent moment of sentimentality that was twisted into something totally different. It made me feel like... why put myself through this?" he continued. "We're like brother and sister, it's not like it was lurid or anything, but it just became a story that people wanted to talk about." Adams and Markle, who has been dating Prince Harry for more than a year, have played Mike Ross and Rachel Zane, respectively, on the USA Network drama since 2011. "It doesn't feel like it's one of those shows that changes television. But it's one of those shows that people love to have in between the shows that change television," Adams told Esquire. "There's the show that's going to change the way I think about art, and life, and myself, and my family, and then there's the show I just want to watch because I love these people, and they make me feel good." As Us exclusively revealed earlier this month, no one knows if the show will be picked up for season 8. "If Meghan decides not to come back for season 8, the show will still keep going if everyone else signs on," an insider told Us. "She isn't the main cast member on the show, and quite frankly, everyone already thinks she's not coming back." Markle opened up about her relationship with the 32-year-old royal in Vanity Fair's October cover story. "I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it's really simple. We're two people who are really happy and in love," she told the publication. Us broke the news this week that Markle has also finally met his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. (US Weekly)
Selena Gomez has been given the gift of life from her best friend. The 25-year-old singer revealed that the reason she quietly stepped back from her career over the summer was because she was recovering from a kidney transplant. "I'm very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn't promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of," Gomez captioned the Instagram post. "So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health." The "Hands to Myself" singer also shared that the donor was her longtime pal Francia Raisa, an actress best known for her role in The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Gomez shared a photo of the friends holding hands from their hospital beds as well as photos of her stomach following the surgery. "There aren't words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa," said Gomez. "She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis." In an October 2015 interview with Billboard, Gomez revealed that she was diagnosed with lupus and was undergoing chemotherapy for the autoimmune disease. In August 2016, Gomez took a career break after suffering from "anxiety, panic attacks and depression" due to her lupus diagnosis. "As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways. I've discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges," she said in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE. "I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues." Selena Gomez Taking Time Off After Dealing with 'Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Depression' Due to Her Lupus Diagnosis After traveling the world over the last few months for her Revival World Tour, Selena Gomez is taking a break to take care of herself Gomez told Billboard in December 2016 that she decided to go public with her diagnosis because she wanted to be an advocate for the disease. "I waited for the right time to talk about it because I am in a great place, and I'm very healthy," she said. "I'm not trying to be loud about it: It was time to use my platform to help." (People)
Andrea Bocelli had a scary fall off a horse in Italy ... and had to be rushed to a hospital by helicopter. Bocelli was riding the horse Thursday near Pisa when he fell. It's still unclear how the accident happened, but he was airlifted to a hospital. One positive sign ... he tweeted to fans, saying, "I feel great. It was just a trivial fall from a horse." The helicopter ride makes us think he's downplaying this somewhat. Despite being blind, the Italian tenor famously leads a very active life -- we've seen him windsurfing, skiing and bike riding over the years. UPDATE: A rep for Andrea says the singer hit his head during the fall but is back home and doing very well. (TMZ)
Tyrese Gibson shared family photos on Instagram Wednesday saying he just wanted to co-parent his daughter after his ex-wife was granted a temporary restraining order against him. The actor, 38, wrote his ex, Norma Mitchell Gibson, was "being bitter, resentful" and mean-spirited, and accused her of attacking him. "All I wanna do is co/parent nothing else... ... Please... Stick and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt... ... I've only prayed that your heart heals and we live our lives separately and peacefully on behalf of our daughter... ... ," he wrote on Instagram. "There's someone out here for everybody-Norma I know you can see this, I'm sorry I got re-married, I'm sorry we didn't work out I'm sorry you haven't been able to find another man since we separated... ... Sometimes you get married and have kids and things just don't work out, but I have NEVER wished harm on you." He continued with, "I was hoping by now you got over what we used to be... Being bitter, resentful and just felt out mean will has never been good for our daughter ... But I see the attacks just won't stop so I believe this too will pass and God and the courts will reveal the truth." The couple were married from 2007 to 2009, and share 10-year-old daughter, Shayla. In court documents obtained by PEOPLE, physical and legal custody of Shayla was temporarily granted to Norma, while ordering the Fast & Furious actor to stay 100 yards away from both of them, including Norma's home, pending a hearing scheduled for Oct. 2. The actor was not granted visitation rights before the hearing date. In court documents, Norma accused Tyrese of abusing their daughter on Aug. 19, alleging the actor "pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other." PEOPLE reached out to the actor's reps but did not receive a response. Norma alleges her ex hit Shayla "between 12 and 16 times," leading the child to allegedly later tell her mother that she couldn't sit down due to pain and saying, "Mum, Dad beat me so hard that it hurts when I sit down." In her declaration, Norma claims Tyrese was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder as well as manic behavior by three psychotherapists -- which she said he denied. She also expressed she was "deeply concerned" about the actor taking their daughter to Dubai, where he has allegedly threatened to travel in the past -- and stating the he did not return their daughter's passport to her when she requested. She also claimed the actor withheld contact between her and Shayla while their daughter stayed with him. Apart from alleging that he abused their daughter, Norma also wrote in her declaration that he was prone to "beat on the people he is in conflict with" and that he had hit her "a number of times in the past including when I was pregnant with our daughter." The actor remarried to Samantha Lee Gibson on Valentine's Day in a secret ceremony. (People)
Drake's Security Guard Once Wrestled Shawn Mendes. Drake has a lot of fans, including Shawn Mendes. On Wednesday's episode of the tonight show starring jimmy fallon, Jimmy Fallon asked the "Stitches" singer if he ever gets starstruck around certain celebrities. Mendes said he does, including around his fellow Canadian artist Drake. "Drake was just like the God because I'm from Toronto and meeting him was like this really crazy thing" Mendes told the host. In fact, Mendes recently had a funny encounter with Drake and shared the story with the audience. Mendes spotted Drake at a show starring The Weeknd in Toronto. Because he had met the "Hotline Bling" performer before -- "like twice," he said -- he decided to say hello. "He's a huge guy, right?" Mendes explained. "So, you don't just go over to him -- I guess not." But just as Mendes reached out to touch Drake's side and say hello, Drake's "six-foot-six, 300 pound" security guard grabbed the "Treat You Better" singer. "Next thing I know, I'm, like, in the middle of The Weeknd show with, like, my arm hooked behind my back, like, with his, Drake's, security guard, like, has me completely at his mercy." Ha. "Mercy." Like the song. Good one, Mendes. Then, Drake looks over to see what's going on and spots Mendes. "And in my eyes, I knew it was like, 'Help me please, Drake,'" Mendes said, knowing that it would be "embarrassing" if the singer didn't know who he was. Thankfully, Drake did recognize the singer and told his security guard to stop. However, Mendes doesn't hold any hard feelings toward the security guard. "For the security guard's sake, he was doing his job," he said. "But still, I was terrified. Don't expect everybody to know who you are." (Eonline)
Aaron Carter is willing to talk about his prescription drug abuse, but bolted as soon as the topic of rehab came up on "The Doctors" ... according to family members. Aaron agreed to a drug test when he taped the show about a month ago -- it airs this week -- and results came back positive for benzodiazepine (Xanax-like drugs) and hydrocodone (generic Vicodin). He claimed the doctors were helping him more than any therapist had, but a Carter family source tells us Aaron drew a line at the suggestion that he gets treatment. We're told the doctors made the rehab recommendation after the show was done taping -- and they even said the show would pay for it, but Aaron got defiant and insisted he would NOT go. Our sources say he stormed out of the studio, hopped in his car, and drove from L.A. to Florida the next day. We reached out to "The Doctors" and they told us Travis has spoken with Aaron since his appearance, and they will be giving an update on Friday's show. (TMZ)
Jessica Biel's Au Fudge Restaurant Sued for Allegedly Cheating Workers Out of $430,000 in Tips. Au Fudge restaurant may be cooking up some legal troubles in West Hollywood. E! News has learned that nine current or former workers are suing Jessica Biel and the celebrity-favorite establishment for unlawful conversion of employee gratuities, fraud and other damages. "Each of them had their gratuities wrongfully converted and were improperly denied meal and rest breaks, overtime compensation and earned wages under various illegal payroll practices," the plaintiffs allege in court documents obtained by E! News. "Defendants charged hundreds of thousands of dollars in gratuities to private-party customers and converted said gratuities to themselves in order to pad their own pockets and deprive plaintiffs their just compensation in violation of law." When asked for comment, a lawyer for the defendants said, "The Company does not comment on pending litigation and has not had an opportunity to review the Complaint, but looks forward to defending itself in Court." According to a former Au Fudge restaurant manager who provided a declaration for the plaintiffs, the company's business model is allegedly based on the sales of private events and buy-outs. Private events are smaller type parties of $10,000 or less while buy-outs are larger events that can cost up to $100,000 plus. In court documents, the plaintiffs allege that the total estimated wrongfully converted gratuity from private events is roughly $150,000. As for private events and buy-outs, they estimate a grand total of $430,000. Au Fudge officially opened its door in March of 2016. The business describes itself on Facebook as "Los Angeles' very first premium social club for families. The food, atmosphere and marketplace are so divine however it will be loved by all." Guests can enjoy food, drinks, a marketplace for shopping and other activities for visitors of all ages. Plaintiffs for this specific lawsuit are requesting a jury trial as the case proceeds. Martin Shkreli is back in federal custody after his bail was revoked due to online threats against Hillary Clinton. He also said, "The Clinton Foundation is willing to KILL to protect its secrets" ... and that's why he was offering cash for her hair. Shkreli backtracked from his offer in a letter to the judge, calling it an "awkward attempt at humor." Too little too late, clearly. Shkreli had already been found guilty on multiple securities fraud charges, and was awaiting sentencing. Looks like he'll do his waiting behind bars now. (TMZ)

THE OTHER STUFF . . .
Adrian Grenier has a very specific drink order: Iced coffee, no sugar, no milk, and most importantly, no straw. "In the event that the server forgets, it's an opportunity for me to share a little bit more about why I requested no straw," Grenier tells PEOPLE. "It wasn't just a simple preference, there's a real reason behind it." That reason is the fact that 500 million straws are used every day in the United States, and it results in extreme consequences for the ocean -- and for people's health. Bringing awareness to this fact has turned into a mission for Grenier. With the foundation he co-founded in 2015, The Lonely Whale Foundation, he's now launching the campaign "Strawless In Seattle" to get the city to #StopSucking. The idea is simple: Make the switch from plastic straws to a marine-friendly alternative, like paper straws. Then challenge friends and businesses to do the same. "I think we've captured people's imaginations and that's the goal," says the actor and environmentalist. "To sort of shake people out of their routine. Plastic straws are so ubiquitous." During the month of September, over 300 restaurants in Seattle have committed to switching their plastic straws for sustainable alternatives to help eliminate the half-billion straws that are harming marine life. "We want to experiment and explore this model with a city that is known to be accepting and open to these kind of changes," says Grenier. "We can learn from that process and then replicate it in other cities." It's not just local Seattle restaurants that are joining the movement. Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson, is taking on the challenge himself. "He is such a hero," Grenier says of Wilson. "I think he is going to launch this campaign into a different echelon because the reality is that the sports community is one that has a lot of fans and a lot of energy." The former Entourage star has made a name for himself outside of Hollywood in recent years by shining a light on causes that matter most to him. "I realized several years ago that the ocean was the most underserved aspect of the environment," he says. "It's so out of sight and out of mind for most people." "Plastic is a toxic material and it's everywhere," he continues. "Seventy percent of sea birds have ingested plastic. Fish are eating it and it stays in their body and goes up the food chain. Next thing you know, who's eating that plastic? You. Humans. It's a toxic health issue for the oceans and for humans as well. In 25 years, there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean, so you'll be fishing for plastic." Grenier embraces the challenges that comes with attempting to create massive change. In March, someone tweeted to him that plastic straws are very valuable for people with disabilities. "There are people who have real individual needs and we just need to make sure we're being sensitive to everybody," he says. "The reality is that the ocean is all of ours and we need to make these changes together. We need to make sure that when we do make those transitions we're addressing everybody's concerns." Grenier says he doesn't want to eliminate straws, he wants to improve them. "The straw hasn't had any significant innovation for over 60 years," he says. "We're in age of massive innovation. Why can't the straw undergo that same innovation?" He adds: "We want to attract people with levity and also a sense of optimism and aspiration. This is our country, this is our world, so let's build it to be an image that we will be proud of." (People)
Heidi Klum and her younger art-dealer boyfriend Vito Schnabel are "on a break" after three years together, Page Six has exclusively learned. "Heidi went out last week three times, never with Vito," observed a Fashion Week insider. "They're on a break." "America's Got Talent" judge Klum was spotted at Harper's Bazaar's Icons bash at the Plaza with Lewis Hamilton -- though a source told us, "there is nothing between them. They're just friends." She also went solo to a screening of Zac Posen's doc, "House of Z," last week. "Heidi was seen staying at the Crosby Street Hotel" in Soho, a spy said. "She usually stays at Vito's place when she's in town." In August, the couple was seen hand in hand in Soho even after Schnabel was spotted smooching another woman in London in June. Schnabel told People of the kiss: "I was simply saying good night to a family friend and we went on our separate ways." At the time, sources close to the couple said they were still very much together. But now, the thrill seems to be gone. Klum's rep and Schnabel did not comment. (Page Six)
Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber have plunked down millions of dollars -- which for them is a drop in the bucket -- for an amazing pad in 90210 ... and they bought it from a famous singer/songwriter. We've learned the deal closed Tuesday, in the super exclusive Trousdale area. The house was listed for $12.75 mil, and they got it for just under 12 mil. Trousdale is known for 1 story contemporary, and this one does not disappoint. The backyard is great ... ditto the pool. Cindy and Rande are known for entertaining outdoors, so it hits the spot. They're selling their Malibu pad for $60 million, so the Bev Hills house isn't exactly chump change, but they won't be hurting. BTW Rande and George Clooney just sold Casamigos for $1 billion. Cindy and Rande bought the house from OneRepublic singer Ryan Tedder. He also writes songs for Madonna, U2, Beyonce, Adele, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Zedd, One Direction, Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, Jennifer Lopez, and on and on. We reached out to celeb realtor Kurt Rappaport, who repped Cindy and Rande, but he didn't call back. (TMZ)

Need to be defibrillated? Nina Dobrev can help. The actress plays an overachieving medical student in the "Flatliners" remake, opening Sept. 29. "I did multiple weeks of medical training. It was really intense, but fun," she tells The Post at Marchesa's Fashion Week show Wednesday. "I couldn't bring someone back to life, but I could definitely resuscitate someone and keep them alive long enough until the real professionals came," the 28-year-old star says. "I've never had to test it out and let's knock on wood that I never have to." (Page Six)
O.J. Simpson's actually got some misgivings about his impending release ... he feels a bond with his comrades in lockup and is finding it hard to say goodbye. O.J.'s lawyer, Malcolm LaVergne, tells TMZ ... Juice has been bored and sad in his current situation -- in an isolated cell for his own safety since he was granted parole in July. He says the decision was bittersweet for Simpson, because he's developed close friendships during his 9 years behind bars. LaVergne says O.J. actually "loved being in general population" because he's super social and feels most comfortable around other people, and he even misses his prison jobs ... like being commissioner of the softball league. Still ... LaVergne says O.J.'s ready for a return to normal life, and there's a chance he'll get to say goodbye to his prison buddies. LaVergne tells us he's working on paperwork to get O.J. moved to Florida to be with his family once he's released ... which he expects to be the second week of October. (TMZ)

Kelly Clarkson Claims She Lost Out on "Millions" After Rejecting Writing Credit With Dr. Luke. Kelly Clarkson was willing to lose out on millions to break away from Dr. Luke. As the record producer was embroiled in a legal battle with Kesha, Clarkson also made headlines last year when she said she was blackmailed into working with the songwriter, whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald. Revisiting the story more than a year later during an interview with Z100's Mo' Bounce, the Grammy winner explained how everything transpired -- and how she allegedly ultimately lost out on "millions" to make a statement. "There's a lot of times in my career where you don't see my name on a song," she began. "Sometimes I don't write them, but a lot of times I do change the song in a way that probably you should ask for credit, but I don't because the song was already great. I just made it more me and I think a lot of artists steal credit a lot from writers, which I think is super crappy because that's their livelihood." However, there was one unnamed song in particular that the songstress thought warranted a writing credit. "I did deserve it on that song just because I changed it a bit, but I really just didn't -- especially at that time, I was so frustrated that I was forced to work...basically, they were going to sit on my record unless I did what they wanted and I was so frustrated because I literally said, 'Anyone in the world but this one person. I will work with anyone you want to put in my path,'" she recalled, speaking of Dr. Luke. According to the star, she did not have a good experience with Gottwald and had asked not to work with him. "I just had a negative experience. The guy is super talented. I'm not negating that. That's a fact, obviously." Ultimately, though she says she changed the song, Clarkson rejected writing credit. "I don't want my name near his. I don't even want -- I want to pretend this didn't happen in my life and I want to forget it," the "Love So Soft" singer continued. According to the songstress, she not only lost out on credit, but also cash. "There's hundreds of thousands of dollars gone because of that...or millions actually. That song was huge," she said. "I was making a point to the people working with me going, 'This is how much I didn't want to do this.' I don't care about the money. I don't care about, 'Oh, you're going to be the most famous person ever if you do this.' That's not what holds weight in my life." While she clarified that she did not have similar experiences with Dr. Luke as the ones Kesha has accused him of, Clarkson did maintain that she is "not a fan" of him. As she concluded, "I'm not going to barbecue anytime soon." (Eonline)
"American Idol" has backed itself into a corner, because it might need to delay taping until it lands more judges ... but that doesn't work for the only judge it's got so far -- Katy Perry. Our 'Idol' sources tell us ... Thursday is the last stop for the show's tour bus auditions, and it's just weeks away from the planned taped auditions with the judges. Problem is -- producers are no closer to locking down stars to join Katy on the panel. So the dilemma is simple and serious -- if the show's forced to postpone filming, it will likely conflict with Perry's Witness tour schedule producers worked so hard to accommodate in the first place. Adding to the dilemma ... 'A.I.' still hasn't signed desired judge #2, Luke Bryan. We're told he wants more money, and the Disney perks he was offered instead of cash didn't cut it. 'Idol's' no closer to landing the 3rd judge. Our sources say everything's still up in the air -- not a good place to be for a legendary show trying to make a triumphant return to TV. (TMZ)
Weezer Hit The Surf on New Single 'Beach Boys'. Turn it up, it's Weezer's latest single off their upcoming album Pacific Daydream. On Wednesday (Sept. 13), the band tweeted a short teaser of their new song "Beach Boys," a breezy track that features the dreamy chorus: "Turn it up/ It's the Beach Boys/ Singing out in a sweet voice/ On a roll like a twist toy/ Keep cranking them Beach Boys." The style of the band's new song makes perfect sense in light of their decision to scrap the original title for their upcoming 11th release, The Black Album, for the more apt name: Pacific Daydream. A press release described the album as "the Beach Boys and The Clash fell in love by the ocean and had one hell of an amazing baby," and Weezer made this incredibly clear by giving one of the inspirations a song of the same name. Back in March, Weezer started off strong with Pacific Daydream's lead single, the, well, summery "Feels Like Summer," debuting at No. 1 on Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart. "Beach Boys" is considerably more lax than that recent hit, but its sunny feel makes it ideal for saying a slow goodbye to warm weather. Weezer will usher in Pacific Daydream this fall with a short series of tour dates in the UK, joining the Foo Fighters to support their upcoming winter tour in Australia. View the full list of tour dates on Weezer's site. Pacific Daydream will be released on Oct. 27. (Billboard)
Jason Aldean's wrapped up in a burrito controversy -- an employee claims he was 86'd after putting the country star on blast for his tip on a massive order. We're told Jason's crew ordered 60 burritos and a quesadilla last week at Black Sheep Burrito & Brews in West Virginia ... not far from where the singer was performing. Total due for the grub -- around 500 bucks, but get this ... the worker claims Jason left a crappy tip. We're told the employee was so pissed, he tweeted at Jason for being a cheapo. But a few days later, he says he got sacked. A manager at Black Sheep tells TMZ ... Jason's people didn't blow the whistle about the tweet, it was another employee who told management. As for the firing, the manager says tweeting about customers is a company violation. Jason's rep confirmed the large takeout order, but says it "included an appropriate tip." The rep added, "Jason had absolutely no contact with the restaurant or any of its employees." (TMZ)

Fifth Harmony Posts Message to Spokane Following School Shooting. Fifth Harmony has taken to Twitter to relay support to Spokane, Wash., after a shooting at Freeman High School that killed one and injured three on Wednesday (Sept. 13). Later that night, the quartet performed at Spokane's County Interstate Fair. The pop group's Twitter message, posted about two hours before they were scheduled to take the stage, reads: "Spokane, our hearts are hurting for your beautiful city. We love you and are dedicating tonight's show to the victims of today's tragic events, their families & friends, and everyone at Freeman High School." As classes were starting Wednesday morning, sophomore Caleb Sharpe opened fire in a second-floor hallway. Sam Strahan was killed in the incident, while three girls -- Emma Nees, Jordyn Goldsmith and Gracie Jansen -- were injured and are reportedly in stable condition. All classes in the Freeman School District were canceled for Thursday, according to The Spokesman-Review. (Billboard)
Marilyn Manson Isn't Mincing Words About Justin Bieber: ''He Was a Real Piece of S -- t." Marilyn Manson's not down with all the beautiful people... After his image was used (allegedly without his consent) in Justin Bieber's Purpose tour merchandise in 2016, Manson had some not-so favorable word's for pop music's biggest heartthrob as a result of a not-so favorable interaction at a Los Angeles hotspot. The shock rocker, whose 10th studio album is due out next month, recalled the run-in to Billboard, "I ran into him in some fancy bar where a lot of celebrities -- a word that I despise -- go. I saw a little girl in a pink hoodie with blond hair, and it turns out to be Bieber." The surly singer went on, "I sit down, and I say, 'Hey, so you wore my shirt and everything onstage.' He was one of those touchy people that hit you when they talk, and he comes up to about dick height. Then he goes, 'I made you relevant again.'" Of the interaction, the "Dope Show" singer also told Consequence of Sound, "[Bieber] was a real piece of s--t in the way he had the arrogance to say that." The 48-year-old says his response to the slight was to flat-out lie to the "What Do You Mean?" singer. The dark and stormy singer says he told the younger star, "'That was a great idea you had about doing 'The Beautiful People' at your show at Staples Center tomorrow.' And he goes, 'Yeah, it was,' not knowing that I told him an idea that I had just made up. His tour manager sat down, and I asked, 'What time is sound check tomorrow? What time should I be there? Because we're going to do 'Beautiful People.'' Obviously, when 4 p.m. rolled around the next day, I just didn't show." More than a year has passed since the Canadian singer sold a $195 Fear of God t-shirt with Manson's face on the front, along with Bieber's name and the phrase "Bigger than God" on the back. At the time, the brand's designer Jerry Lorenzo posted an Instagram thanking, "@marilynmanson for signing off on the 'Bigger than Satan' x #jb tee." The designer also wrote, "Thanks for understanding our approach and re-interpretation of your vision." However, the goth rocker tells Billboard no such conversation ever happened. Manson did say that he did from money for his likeness being used by the brand and it didn't wind up being a legal battle. The singer claims, "It was nice though that I didn't have to sue his company for making the shirts that he wore with his name and my face on it. They were very much like, 'We know we're wrong here; just take as many dollars as you want.' So it was a double 'f--k you,' but wouldn't have happened if he hadn't said, 'I made you relevant again.'" Guess he showed him! Sadly, the Biebs does not appear to be a star in Manson's dope show... Manson's new album, Heaven Upside Down, drops Oct. 6. (Eonline)

Maddox Jolie-Pitt Talks Working With ''Wonder'' Mom Angelina Jolie on First They Killed My Father. It looks like filmmaking runs in the family, with Maddox Jolie-Pitt following in the footsteps of his celebrity parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. In the new film about the Khmer Rouge genocide, First They Killed My Father, Jolie-Pitt earned his executive producer credit by sitting in on meetings, prepping for shoots and reviewing dailies. However, he was not alone in the creation of the movie based on family friend Loung Ung's memoir, with his mom in the director's chair and his 13-year-old brother Pax Jolie-Pitt working as a set photographer. And in his first major interview, the 16-year-old revealed what it was like to work with his mother on the project. "[She's] fun, funny, and easy to work with," Maddox told People magazine. "She's a wonder." Angelina, who adopted Maddox in 2002, recently told E! News' Zuri Hall at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival premiere of the film that she would love to work with her children in the future, but that it's ultimately his choice. Speaking of her son's role as executive producer and whether he will continue on this career path, she said, "Maddox worked hard. It's up to him." "I was trying to help wherever I could," Maddox added to the mag. In an interview with People, along with discussing her difficult divorce, Jolie says Maddox encouraged her to direct the film and the role he played in bringing it to life. "He goes back and forth [to Cambodia] a lot, but this would be over four months of just being in the country, really reading, listening, learning and absorbing all things about his culture and country [including] the very, very dark parts." In addition to his dedication to the film, Jolie praised him for his intelligence and ability to learn languages. She spoke in admiration of his capabilities, saying, "He's been taking French and Russian and all these different languages. I hear him talking in full, fluent French, and they'll tell me he's reached a certain level in his German, and I have no idea. He doesn't do it in front of me." As for what Maddox loves most about his home country, he revealed, "the people by far. [They are] calm, relaxed, and when they want to do something wild, they do it -- much like me in a way. I'm proud to be a Cambodian." Angelina and her children, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, 12, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 11, Knox Jolie-Pitt, 9, and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 9 were spotted at the 2017 TIFF screening of The Breadwinner. Following her divorce from Brad Pitt, sources told E! News that she and Brad are committed to putting their children first, but that it has not been easy. "We all have our difficult times, but as a mother you also have a responsibility first and foremost towards the kids. They are going through their formative years and everything else comes second to that." The film, First They Killed My Father, which was set in the 16-year-old's home country of Cambodia, is in theaters and available on Netflix this Friday, Sept. 15. (Eonline)
I applaud Patty Jenkins for being highest paid female director, but she's STILL subject to #EverydaySexism. It took Patty MONTHS to get the pay equality she deserved. Would a man have to fight the same fight? Bookworm, film fan, telly addict. Special skill: I can recite the whole of Spaceballs. Patty Jenkins, all conquering director of Wonder Woman, has made history and become the highest-paid female director in Hollywood. Great news, right? Hmmmm. Now if only we could get rid of that pesky word 'female'. And if only Patty hadn't had to fight tooth and nail to reportedly get paid on parity with Man of Steel director Zack Snyder (you know, the guy who directed Wonder Woman's less successful-it took $668 million to WW's $800 million-not to mention critically decimated, fellow DC universe story), it would be cause for real celebration. According to reports, the campaign to bring Patty back on board for WW2 began the week immediately following Wonder Woman's highly successful opening weekend in June, but negotiations had been dragging on for months until the deal was made earlier this week. She reportedly was paid $1 million for the first movie, but will receive somewhere in 'the high seven figures-estimated to be $7-9 million'-for the sequel. This, of course, is huge. No one is arguing that it's not a giant sum of money, especially when you factor in the back end (the percentage of any profits) that Jenkins will undoubtedly be contracted to receive too. But when the woman responsible for the third highest grossing film in Warner Bros' history has to argue her worth for THREE MONTHS before she can cut a deal, there's still something stacked against us in the system. She's proved her box office (and critical) clout, but I can't help thinking that she will have to keep on proving both those things to keep justifying her paydays. Talking to Variety earlier this year, Charlize Theron discussed the difficulty of sustaining a 'female moment' in cinema. "We've had moments like this, where women really showcase themselves and kind of break glass ceilings. And then we don't sustain it. Or there's one movie that doesn't do well, and all of a sudden, no one wants to make a female-driven film," she said. (Charlize knows. On the back of her Oscar win with Monster, she went on to star in Aeon Flux-a female driven action film that didn't land.) So God forbid Patty has a turkey in her future, because you can be pretty sure her stock will immediately plummet. Comparatively, Guy Ritchie directed King Arthur, one of the 2017's biggest flops. I have no idea what Guy was paid for the job (and I have nothing against him-Lock Stock is a British film institution), but one thing I do know, is that after an embarrassment of that scale, a female director wouldn't immediately get hired on a big-budget, live-action remake of a classic Disney film, as Guy was with Aladdin. So yes, I'm applauding Patty's success, and I cannot wait to see Wonder Woman 2. But only when pay parity is a no brainer and a female director's failures can be shrugged off as easily as a man's, can we truly rejoice. (British Glamour)
Ron Perlman, Martin Starr Lead Western Comedy 'Escape of Prisoner 614'. Jake McDorman and George Sample III also star in the Yale Productions title, which also marks Zach Golden's feature directorial debut. Ron Perlman and Martin Starr are set to lead The Escape of Prisoner 614, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. Jake McDorman and George Sample III also are starring in the comedic Western, which marks the feature directorial debut of Zach Golden, who also wrote the script. Set in the 1960s, The Escape of Prisoner 614 sees Starr and McDorman playing two well-intentioned but bumbling deputies who get fired by their overbearing sheriff (Perlman). With hopes of getting rehired, they then decide to go after an escaped prisoner (Sample) only to realize that he's an innocent victim of a racist judicial system and find themselves facing a moral dilemma. Yale Productions' Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman are producing with Shaun Sanghani of SSS Entertainment. Perlman will also executive produce for his Wing & A Prayer Productions, with Michael J. Rothstein and Brian Cohen. Yale's Russ Posternak and Jon Keeyes are co-producers. Production is set to begin this month. CAA is representing the film's North American distribution rights. "I'm so thrilled to start production with this amazingly talented group of actors anchoring our cast," stated Golden. "Martin and Jake both bring natural comedic gifts and serious dramatic chops to the film, and George just exudes the charm and empathy needed for our title character. Ron's the ultimate badass, intimidating tough guy so he was of course the first guy I thought of for our Sheriff." Perlman added, "I fell in love with this project the moment I read Zach's script. It's smart and funny, but it also explores weighty issues regarding race and criminal justice that could not be more timely." Perlman, known for leading the Hellboy franchise and the FX series Sons of Anarchy, adds the project to his upcoming slate, which also includes Alfonso Pineda Ulloa's crime drama The Jesuit and Seth Henrikson's comedy Pottersville. He is repped by Gersh, LINK Entertainment and Empire Agency. Silicon Valley actor Starr recently appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and is next seen in Sean McGinly's comedy Silver Lake. He is repped by CAA and Rise Management. McDorman is repped by UTA and Mosaic. Sample is repped by Avalon Management. Yale Productions recently wrapped production on Green Dolphin, produced with Rainmaker Films and Keanu Reeves and starring Justine Skye, Shiloh Fernandez and Seann William Scott; as well as Shotgun starring Maika Monroe, Jeremy Allen White, Sasha Lane and Marisa Tomei. Oscars: U.K. Selects 'My Pure Land' for Foreign-Language Category. Sarmad Masud's feminist Western is the first-ever Urdu-language film submitted by Britain for the Academy Awards. The United Kingdom has picked My Pure Land, an Urdu-language feature from first-time director Sarmad Masud, to be its contender for the 2018 Oscars in the foreign language category. This marks the first time Britain has submitted an Urdu-language title to be its Oscar hopeful. The U.K. has only twice been nominated in the foreign language category: in 1993 for Paul Turner's Hedd Wyn and in 1999 with Paul Morrison's Solomon and Gaenor, both films shot in the Welsh language. The United Kingdom has yet to win a foreign language Oscar. Masud's drama, described as a "feminist Western" is based on the true story of a mother and her two daughters who survived a siege on their home by relatives in rural Pakistan, culminating in them having to defend their land from a militia of 200 bandits. Produced by Bill Kenwright Films, My Pure Land premiered at the Edinburgh film festival and will have its U.K. bow September 15. Independent is handling worldwide sales. The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences will announce the nominees for best foreign-language film on January 23, 2018. The 90th Oscars ceremony takes place March 4, 2018. Nicole Kidman Teases the Future of Big Little Lies Season Two. Will the Emmy-nominated HBO series Big Little Lies return for a second season? Nicole Kidman says it's still up in the air, at least for now. After attending the Michael Kors Collection show at New York Fashion Week, Kidman told E! News that the cast is taking their time with deciding whether they will proceed with a second season. "No, it's still not decided because it is a lot to pull together," the actress shared. "The first one was a lot to put together, so we are sort of not taking it lightly in terms of what it needs," Nicole explained. But if anyone understands how much fans want to see the ladies of Monterey back on their TV screens, it's this star. She added, "We're just so happy that the show has been received in the way it's received." Reese Witherspoon confirmed that conversations are most definitely in the works surrounding a BLL season two, telling E! News, "We're talking to Liane Moriarty, who wrote the book, about how could these characters go on, what would happen. We definitely left it open-ended so there's a possibility there." While Kidman was not able to reveal the fate of the critically-acclaimed show, she was able to reveal that she and her co-stars Witherspoon, Zoë Kravitz, Laura Dern and Shailene Woodley will present an award together at the 69th Annual Emmy Awards. The award ceremony, which has garnered 16 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Limited Series, pits Kidman against co-star and close friend, Reese, in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie category. Dern and Woodley received recognition in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or a Movie category, and Alexander Skarsgård is up for Outstanding Supporting Actor. Would you love to see Big Little Lies continue? (Eonline)
Jim Carrey Is Returning to TV for the First Time Since In Living Color in New Showtime Comedy. 23 years after In Living Color signed off the air, Jim Carrey is finally ready to make his return to TV. The comedian, who's more recently been making headlines for his truly one-of-a-kind interview with E! News' very own Catt Sadler at New York Fashion Week, is set to star in Showtime's upcoming half-hour comedy Kidding. As if his first series regular role in over two decades wasn't exciting enough, the series will reunite Carrey with his Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director Michel Gondry, who will direct the new project. And if you know anything about Carrey's film oeuvre, you know that Eternal Sunshine is perhaps his best role ever, one that he was cruelly robbed of an Oscar for. So this is very exciting news indeed. So, what's Kidding all about? Here's the official logline from Showtime: "Carrey plays Jeff, aka Mr. Pickles, an icon of children's television, a beacon of kindness and wisdom to America's impressionable young minds and the parents who grew up with him-who also anchors a multimillion dollar branding empire. But when this beloved personality's family-wife, two sons, sister and father-begins to implode, Jeff finds no fairy tale or fable or puppet will guide him through this crisis, which advances faster than his means to cope. The result: a kind man in a cruel world faces a slow leak of sanity as hilarious as it is heartbreaking." "No one inhabits a character like Jim Carrey, and this role-which is like watching Humpty Dumpty after the fall-is going to leave television audiences wondering how they went so long without him," Showtime president David Nevins said in a statement announcing the series. "With his Eternal Sunshine partner Michel Gondry on board to direct, we are on our way to a magnetic, volcanic and emotional viewing experience." The 10-episode first season will count Carrey and Gondry, as well as Jason Bateman, as executive producers. Kidding was created by Weeds alum Dave Holstein, who will act as showrunner. The series expands Carrey's relationship with the premium cable network, as he is currently an executive producer on I'm Dying Up Here. Are you looking forward to Carrey's return to TV, especially considering the project is a reunion with Gondry? (Eonline)
Anthony Scaramucci is still a hot topic, and now he's joining the table. The former White House communications director will guest co-host "The View" for the first "Guy Day Friday" of Season 21. He will join the co-hosts at the "Hot Topics" table for the entire hour on Friday, Sept. 22. "View" co-host Joy Behar previously revealed that she spoke to Scaramucci, 53, the day that he was booted from his communications director gig, and that she had tried booking him for an appearance before his infamous firing. "I did speak to him," she said. "I was trying to get him on the show. We're Paesans together, so I called him, and we had a very interesting conversation. Unfortunately, he learned from the New Yorker interview how to say the words 'off the record,' so I can't tell you too much. Also, I'm under FBI surveillance at this point. We had a great conversation, very juicy information -- but I can't say it." Behar, 74, added that The Mooch came across as a bit of a mama's boy, adding, "His mood was great ... we totally bonded over a lot of [things]. The Italian slurs going around -- people keep calling him a guido, but this guy went to Harvard! He's not dumb." (Page Six)
South Park premiere just ripped blue-collar entitlement. The media expected South Park's 21st season premiere to tackle Charlottesville and white supremacists based on its preview. And it did. But South Park saved its sharpest edges for mocking Americans distraught about the decline in manufacturing and other blue-collar jobs. In the episode, workers in South Park are up in arms over technology companies automating traditional occupations, so they take to the streets in protest (complete with waving a Confederate flag). The protestors disrupt Randy Marsh's new house-flipping show, which is called White People Renovating Houses. "Don't you know every time you wave Confederate flags around you make us look stupid?" Randy scolds. So Randy proposes a solution: "There's been a lot of hurt here; hurt from both sides!" he says, echoing President Donald Trump's infamous take on the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August. "What if I told you I could get you all jobs?" Randy's idea is to have the frustrated townsfolk literally take the place of Amazon's Alexa shopping assistant units in people's homes. But the newly employed find memorizing grocery lists and looking up stuff online undignified and threaten to quit. In the episode's most scathing exchange, Randy shoots back, "Sorry you didn't go to college so you have to take the jobs you can get ... Coal mining and truck driving are not exactly jobs of the future ... You're stuck in another time, afraid to change." That attitude, of course, just makes matters worse, leaving one worker to storm out while declaring, "Muslims trying to kill us, black people rioting, Mexicans having babies ... so I say, 'Kill 'em all!'" Yet South Park doesn't go any further down that darker path. Instead, Randy renovates the lead protestor's house for a rousing finish that brings the town together. "No matter how bad the country gets, you can always count on white people renovating houses," Randy declares. (Entertainment Weekly)
CBS Chief Leslie Moonves Takes Shots at Disney, ESPN, Fox at Investor Conference. Says Moonves, "I'm a sports fan, but when I turn on ESPN, I see people yelling at each other." "When ESPN or Comcast announce they are losing subs, that is a good thing for us," said Leslie Moonves, chairman and president of CBS, at an investor conference in New York on Thursday. In a colorful discussion at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference, Moonves said analysts should be distinguishing CBS from its peers. Stealing NBC's old catch-phrase, Moonves boasted, "We are must-see TV," perhaps implying that the others are not. According to Moonves, those abandoning expensive cable and satellite TV packages are not a concern because "cord-cutters aren't going into the woods and avoiding television, they're just going to other services." And Moonves says CBS is a part of every "important" skinny bundle package and that the network stands to make even more money. He says the network gets $2 a subscriber from traditional cable and satellite packages, $4 from so-called skinny bundle digital services, and $6 from CBS All Access, the company's over-the-top service. In a shot at Disney, which spent billions to acquire a majority stake in a streaming video platform, Moonves says CBS "didn't go to BAMTech for a zillion dollars, we did it ourselves." And he targeted Disney subsidiary ESPN in hyping CBS's coming over-the-top service for sports. "We think there is a place in the market for straight clips and scores," he said. "I'm a sports fan, but when I turn on ESPN, I see people yelling at each other." Moonves says he think there's still room for growth in retransmission revenue. He pointed to ESPN getting $7 a subscriber and talked how CBS was getting less even though it was contributing what he said was 10 percent of overall television viewership. "We're still underpaid," he said. Then again, he seems apparently happy in the broadcast business and directed zingers at everyone from Netflix (he suggested Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre wouldn't receive nearly as much back-end profits from a Netflix show) to 21st Century Fox chairman Lachlan Murdoch. On Wednesday, at the same conference, Murdoch identified FX, Fox News, Fox Sports, Nat Geo and Star TV Asia as Fox's core brands. The absence of Fox Broadcasting was conspicuous. "I heard them say it wasn't a core asset," said Moonves today. "We make a lot of money. Maybe they do not." (Hollywood Reporter)

Toby approves! This Is Us' Chris Sullivan confirmed costar Mandy Moore's engagement to Taylor Goldsmith while attending the show's Music From The Series Soundtrack Release Party in Santa Monica on Wednesday, September 13. "It's pretty great. Her now fiance, Taylor, is quickly becoming one of my favorite people," Sullivan, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly at the event. "He and I just finished doing some recording together. I think that they are a beautiful pair." Moore, 33, and the Dawes frontman began dating after she split from ex-husband Ryan Adams in 2015. Tuesday, the actress was spotted wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring while out at Caffe Luxxe in L.A.'s Brentwood neighborhood. According to Sullivan, Goldsmith may even appear on the NBC drama. When asked if Goldsmith will record a track for the show -- and if he will sing with Moore's character Rebecca -- Sullivan quipped, "I think that's in the works." Moore and Goldsmith recently moved in together and have been renovating their home. (US Weekly)
Shkreli got into hot water for his FB post offering "$5,000 per hair obtained from Hillary Clinton." He also said, "The Clinton Foundation is willing to KILL to protect its secrets" ... and that's why he was offering cash for her hair.

(TMZ)

Still ... LaVergne says O.J.'s ready for a return to normal life, and there's a chance he'll get to say goodbye to his prison buddies.
