Ramp closures scheduled next week for wrong-way vehicle detection project
Phoenix drivers should plan for overnight ramp closures at four interchanges along Interstate 17 next week as work continues to install the pilot wrong-way vehicle detection and warning system.
Both the northbound and southbound I-17 off-ramps will be closed at the following locations during the week of Sept. 18:
I-17 off-ramps at Camelback Road closed from 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19
I-17 off-ramps at Bethany Home Road closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20
I-17 off-ramps at Glendale Avenue closed from 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21
I-17 off-ramps at Northern Avenue closed from 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22
Drivers should plan for possible delays and use alternate routes.
