(Cosmopolitan) Lots of dates take place in restaurants, so we got a server at one of Seattle's hottest brasseries to dish all the guy decoding details he witnesses:
  1. If he takes the seat that faces the rest of the restaurant, he's more interested in the scene. The guy who opts to face the wall so his only view is of you doesn't want to be distracted by anyone else.
  2. It doesn't take much effort to order steak and a pricey bottle of wine. But if he asks the waiter for recommendations and orders exotic things to share with you, it shows he's a laid-back, fun person.
  3. A man who opens the check and pores over every detail is usually doing it because he wants the chick to realize how much he's shelling out or wants her to cough up some cash. Don't take the bait.
