Overhead utility work scheduled Sunday on SR 86 near Tucson Estates
Motorists traveling on State Route 86 (Ajo Way) west of Tucson may encounter brief delays on Sunday(Dec. 13) while Tucson Electric Power hangs electrical wire near the Tucson Estates community.
The utility work will be done between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. and law enforcement officers will stop traffic in both directions periodically during the work. Delays of 10 minutes can be expected.
ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
