Holly Madison Gives Birth to Baby No. 2. Congrats to Holly Madison! The 36-year-old former Girls Next Door and Playboy star-turned-Las Vegas performer and author has given birth to her and 41-year-old husband Pasquale Rotella's second child, a baby boy, E! News has learned. The two are also parents to daughter Rainbow Aurora, 3. Rotella broke the happy news on his Instagram with a photo of their newborn's hand next to daddy's. "What an incredible week. A crazy, stressful start, which transformed into this magical moment. First, a five-year-long indictment against me was finally dismissed; then yesterday Holly, Rainbow & I welcomed a healthy 8-pound, 14-ounce baby boy to the family," he wrote. "Now I'm holding my beautiful son at the hospital reading amazing birthday wishes from all of you. Definitely one of the most memorable weeks of my life! Lots of love to everyone who took the time to post, tag or send me a message online. I'm grateful & touched! We'll be heading home from the hospital later & I'll be posting photos of the new baby soon. Thanks 'n love you ALL!" Madison followed with another sweet hand photo that was simply captioned with hearts. Madison revealed in January she was pregnant and announced in March she and her husband were expecting a baby boy. During the third trimester of her pregnancy, Madison went on a national book tour to promote her second memoir, The Vegas Diaries. The book chronicles her life in Las Vegas, where she moved after leaving the Playboy Mansion and where she scored her leading role in the Peepshow burlesque stage production and filmed her E! series Holly's World. Madison chronicled part of her pregnancy on her E! baby blog, discussing topics such as cravings and her "love/hate relationship with breastfeeding." "I discovered early on that breastfeeding in public is not for me," she wrote. "I am completely supportive of others doing it, but I tried it once and it was altogether too awkward for me to try again...So, if I don't like it, why am I choosing to do it again? Well, to be fair, I didn't have it that bad." She also talked about a topic many pregnant women deal with and may be ashamed to talk about: Forgetfulness, or "Mommy Brain." "If it happens and people don't want to talk about it, I GET IT," Madison wrote. "The last thing women need is a stereotype suggesting childbirth reduces your mental capabilities when they are getting ready to return to their jobs...But there is something lonely about silence, too, for then you start to wonder am I the only one? And what do I do about this?" Madison also discussed another controversial issue affecting mothers who gave birth recently: The pressure to losing the pregnancy weight. "We all know the "Body After Baby" phenomenon," she wrote. "Women have always been interested in getting back in shape after having a child. But when did this become a race against the clock? When did it become expected that everyone needs to be a bangin' MILF with ripped abs a month after popping out a baby?" Madison said she gained more than 30 pounds while pregnant with Rainbow Aurora and lost the weight within 11 months. She said that six weeks after giving birth to her daughter, she donned a bikini for a magazine spread. "I did the whole 'Body After Baby' thing the first time around, but will I do it after I have my next baby? I don't know," she wrote. "If I do decide to do photos, I'll have one condition: if you are going to look at my 'skinny' pictures, you have to see my 'big'" ones, too-real photos I took along the journey towards getting in shape, to show what I really looked like after having a baby." In her latest entry, posted in late June, Madison talked about her maternity style and offered tips for expectant mothers. (Eonline)
Molly Sims Is Pregnant, Expecting 3rd Child With Husband Scott Stuber. Congratulations are in order! Molly Sims is pregnant with her third child, according to People magazine. The model-actress and husband Scott Stuber already have two children at home, 4-year-old son Brooks Alan and 16-month-old daughter Scarlett May. The couple's new baby will arrive at the end of the year. "It's a Hail Mary!" 43-year-old Sims told the magazine. "I'm so happy -- we're so blessed. We were so shocked, but we're thrilled." Sims admitted to the publication that she and Stuber were not expecting another child, joking that it was the result of "what happens when I go visit my husband on the movie set." Although they weren't planning for another child, they couldn't be happier, but she is concerned about her age. "Being 43 is a little worrisome, cause I'm like 'Okay, you are going to be 90!' But then Mick Jagger [is having his eighth baby at 72] so we're like okay, we feel good about ourselves," she told People. Sims and Stuber welcomed daughter Scarlett back in March, and she had said life since then has been a test of "super-mama multitasking." "I moved my office in when I had Brooks, I have almost a 3-year-old," she said while on The View in May, "and I was like I'm doing this, and that's what it takes to be close to them." The co-hosts noted how quickly Sims seemed to lose the weight, which she chalked up to breastfeeding her then-newborn. "I'm trying! Breastfeeding, multitasking. It is hard," she said. Congratulations again to the happy family! (Eonline)
Christie Brinkley and John Mellencamp Split After a Year of Dating as Rep Says 'They Vow to Remain Best Friends.' Supermodel Christie Brinkley and singer John Mellencamp have split after a year of dating, a rep for the pair tells PEOPLE exclusively. "Both the mileage between their homes and their heavy career demands interfered with their ability to maintain the relationship," a rep for both Brinkley and Mellencamp tells PEOPLE. "They vowed to remain best of friends." Brinkley, 62, has been busy promoting her new line of Prosecco, Bellissima, this summer. Mellencamp, 64, has been touring this spring and was set to resume his American tour this summer. In June, Brinkley spoke at length about her attraction to Mellencamp, saying she initially didn't think they were a match when they first met at a Hamptons party in 2015. "I thought, 'Oh my gosh, we're really opposites. He's kind of a throwback from another time, like a silent cowboy,'" she told PEOPLE. "But then we talked and realized that we do have a lot of shared interests." But Brinkley said the two had bonded over their kids (she has three; Mellencamp has five, plus six grandkids) as well as their age. "I know guys that go out with girls that are so, so young. They'll throw some reference out, and they're like, 'What's that?'" Brinkley said. "When it comes to relationships, there is something nice about just being the same age." When asked if she thought the two might wed, Brinkley said they were keeping it light. "You never really know what's going to happen," she told PEOPLE. "John and I are two people that have very full lives. We're just trying to enjoy each other when we can see each other and try not to put too much [pressure] on it." (People)
Has Lady Gaga moved on with a new man? Bizarre couple alert? Newly single Lady Gaga had dinner with an unexpected, and eligible, companion, we're told. Gaga, 30, who recently split from fiance Taylor Kinney, was spotted in a private room at L'Artusi with "Goodfellas" star Ray Liotta. "They looked super chummy and like they know each other well," said a spy. The pair left their table together a couple of times to smoke, according to the onlooker, and lingered at the cozy West Village spot past 10:30?p.m. The duo starred in 2014's "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For." A rep denied it was a date, saying, "Ray is friends with Stefani [Gaga] and her dad." Liotta, 61, has been single since breaking up with Catherine Hickland in 2011. (PageSix)
Gina Rodriguez Opens Up About Living With Hashimoto's Disease: "It Actually Became My Biggest Blessing." Gina Rodriguez is having a fantastic year. She has two upcoming films, her hit show Jane the Virgin, and she's also become a predominate name in Hollywood for being a positive role model who empowers women and celebrates diversity through social media. Rodriguez is now gracing the cover of Health and calls it a "dream come true." Just like many of us, the actress still deals with many things behind the scenes and Rodriguez has been very open about what it's like for her to live with Hashimoto's Disease, but she isn't letting it defeat her. "If I can at least walk for 20 minutes a day, it's extremely helpful for my thyroid gland. Running, boxing, jump rope and hitting the heavy bag are my workout constants," She said. "It's always been a battle for me with weight. Keeping weight off is very difficult because my metabolism is pretty much shot, which to me felt like a curse when I was 19. As an actress, I would say, 'Seriously? In a world that's so vain, I have to deal with the disease that makes you not keep weight off?' But it actually became a blessing because then I got to represent not only women and Latinas but also women who are dealing with this disease. I'm gluten-free, which is the most difficult thing in the world because, like Oprah, I love bread!" Rodriguez is tempted daily with craft tables on the set, but she won't fall for it. "It's mind over matter because they put out doughnuts every morning, and they smell divine. I have to look at gluten like, "Yea' I want to eat that. Of course, I do, but it doesn't make me feel good. And I want to feel good," the actress said. For her latest films, the star was able to get back to an old love: boxing. "I obviously like to box, and I grew up in a boxing family, but I didn't know [director] Peter [Berg] was so into boxing," Rodriguez said. "I ended up boxing every day. I got so strong that summer, it was unreal. Mark Wahlberg would come when he could. Peter and I would box each other in the ring. I adore him. He's cracked me across the face, and I've cracked him across the face. It's really not as painful as you would think. We don't break that easily." The actress admits that her new film Annihilation is the reason for her hair change. "I was going to write for [Lena Dunham's] Lenny Letter about the transition of cutting my hair, and how five years ago, should I have cut my hair, nobody would've had any opinion or said anything to me on Instagram or Facebook or whatever," she said. "But being on a bigger platform like Jane means I got mixed reviews that really had me second guessing my beauty." Rodriguez admits that she was vitriol spat on by many viewers, but she reacted quite opposite of what you might expect. "I got some girls who were like, 'Nooo! Why???' or like 'It's so ugly! You don't look pretty anymore!' And I'm thinking, 'It's not your hair. It's my hair,' she said. "For me, it was so liberating to cut it and transform for a movie. Otherwise, I would've kept my hair long until I was, like, my mom's age because I love my long hair." The star, who says she feels sexiest making people laugh, says the advice she would give to other is, "'I'm not pretty enough, smart enough,' only exists within you. If you don't feel like you're strong enough, start working on your strength. If you don't feel like you're tall enough, well, sorry, baby, that's what God gave you. It's just life," Rodriguez explained. "Let's start breaking these thoughts down and understand where the truth lies, where you control is and what you can do to make it better. Now, when somebody tells me no, I say, 'OK, thank you. I'm gonna look for the yes. Your no doesn't end my world.'" (Eonline)
Tom Hiddleston Joins Instagram, But He Isn't Following Taylor Swift...Yet. Tom Hiddleston: hunky actor, Taylor Swift 's boyfriend and now an official Instagram user! Yes, the 35-year-old Brit joined the social media platform on Tuesday (better late than never), teasing the return of his Marvel character Loki, who he will play again in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok. All dressed up in costume, he captioned the photo, "He's back!" While many fans were certainly excited to see Hiddleston's Instagram appearance as well as the return of Loki, there was one thing people couldn't get past: he's not following Swift. People have been commenting on the photo, asking him to follow his girlfriend, but we don't think anyone should be concerned just yet. In fact, Hiddleston isn't following anyone at the moment, and to be fair, Swift isn't following her beau yet either. Still, we can't help but wonder if the singer will be the first to receive the actor's "following" notification...a true symbol of romance in this day and age. LOL! However, we don't really need any more proof of their romance. Hiddleswift has showcased their love all around the world since news of their romance first began swirling in June. Not only did they jet away on a European vacation to England and Italy, but they also made a brief pit stop in Rhode Island for Fourth of July to hang with all of TayTay's friends. Shortly thereafter, the couple headed to the land down under where Hiddleston started filming the upcoming Thor sequel. Upon their return to Los Angeles, they've been spotted hitting the gym together and continuing their romantic date nights. In all of that quality time, the pair have quickly realized what they mean to each other. "Taylor and Tom are in love with each other. He told her she is the kind of woman he wants to spend his life with," an insider revealed to E! News. "They have gotten very close. She is enjoying the time off from working. She has been writing during her travels, and Tom has been an inspiration in her music." The Crimson Peak actor has also inspired other thoughts about Swift's personal future. "This is the kind of a man she would want to marry," another source added. "She has said he would make a great dad. They have talked about what they want in the future and kids are something that they would both like down the line." (Eonline)
Sarah Michelle Gellar Praises ''Brave'' Friend Shannen Doherty During Her Breast Cancer Battle. Sarah Michelle Gellar is right by her pal Shannen Doherty's side as she bravely battles breast cancer. On Instagram, in honor of #MondayMuse, SMG posted a photo of her alongside the former Beverly Hills, 90210 actress and wrote a poignant message about their friendship. "My #MondayMuse (and really every day #Muse) is my brave friend @theshando. I've always said she is one of the most loyal friends I've ever known, and now while she is facing the toughest journey of her life, she is sharing it with friends she has never met in the hopes of helping other people who are going through the same struggle." The mother of two added one final powerful note, "That's a true friend." Doherty revealed earlier this summer that she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time that she sued her business manager for neglecting to pay her medical insurance. Then, just a few weeks ago, the 45-year-old took to Instagram to document her shaving her head after receiving chemotherapy treatment. The Charmed actress posted six images detailing the heartbreaking process and at the end of the photo series she captioned the final image with two hashtags that truly said it all: #cancersucks and #thankgodforfriends. How Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa Make It Work While Working on Different Coasts. It's no surprise that Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa have exemplified #relationshipgoals throughout their 20-year marriage, and now the actor opens up on how they make it work with their hectic and now distant schedules. During the Fox panel for his new series Pitch at the 2016 TCAs, Consuelos told a group of reporters that the couple have been able to make their current bicoastal situation work mainly because their kids are a bit older now. "It's easy. The kids are older now, the kids are older, no more changing diapers, there's no midnight feeding, so it's easy. In the past, maybe I wouldn't take a job so far away, but it's good. It's really, really good," he said. While mama Ripa holds down the fort in New York City, Consuelos took his kids with him to Los Angeles! And it's been pretty cool so far. "[My daughter] is 15, our oldest is 19, and we're like roommates," he said. "We're very much like roommates. She's awesome. We get to spend some quality time we wouldn't get to share otherwise, it's really nice. She loves Los Angeles. She wants to figure out a way to live here permanently. I told her there's UCLA, USC, and to look for that opportunity in a few years to get out here." Pitch, which also stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Ali Larter, tells the story of Ginny Baker, the first female Major League Baseball player, and director Dan Fogelman says he believes this is something that could actually happen in coming years. "I think this is going to happen in my lifetime," he said. "I think the right young woman is going to come along, I think it's going to happen sooner than later...When it happens, that young woman becomes the biggest story in the country overnight." Stranger Things' Winona Ryder Talks Anxiety and Depression: ''I'm Sick of People Shaming Women.'' Winona Ryder is no longer trying to rewrite her story. The Stranger Things actress recently sat down with New York Magazine to share how far she's coming from the days when she first opened up about her anxiety and depression decades ago. "I'm so sick of people shaming women for being sensitive or vulnerable. It's so bizarre to me," she explained. "I wish I could unknown this, but there is a perception of me that I'm supersensitive and fragile. And I am supersensitive, and I don't think that that's a bad thing. To do what I do, I have to remain open." Ryder added, "There's a line in the show where someone says [of her Stranger Things character], 'She's had anxiety problems in the past.' A lot of people picked up on that, like, 'Oh, you know, she's crazy.' And I'm like, 'Okay, wait a second, she's struggling.' Two kids, deadbeat dad, working her ass off. Who wouldn't be anxious?" The Oscar nominated actress added, "Even that word, anxious. It's a bad word. And so like all of these words -- it's kind of what I tried to do with Girl, Interrupted, and why I was so invested in that book and trying to get it made [as a movie]. My whole point was, this happens to every girl, almost." But it was an interview with Diane Sawyer that Ryder did about her struggles that stays with the star to this very day. "I talked about my experiences with anxiety and depression when I was that age and I think by doing that, maybe couples with my physical size, there's this 'crazy' thing. And I've realized recently it's literally impossible to try to change that story." (Eonline)
American Idol's Jax Reveals She's Battling Thyroid Cancer: 'I Don't Think I Have Ever Experienced Anything Scarier.' Jax left everything she had on the American Idol stage each week when she competed on the show's fourteenth season, but for the last few months, the singer has been secretly battling cancer. In a new interview with My Central Jersey, Jax reveals she was shockingly diagnosed with thyroid cancer in April shortly after performing at a show. "It was very unexpected," she says. "When you're 20 years old, you have this 'Superman' entitlement mentality. Like you're indestructible. Thank God I have people in my life that were there to help me deal with this when my reality finally clicked for me. I'm a tough guy, but I don't think I have ever experienced anything scarier." In the days leading up to her diagnosis, the Idol contestant was "waking up in a very dark place every day," she says. "Stress has always been a weight in my life, but over the course of a few weeks something felt different. While grocery shopping with my parents, I felt a small lump on my throat." After visiting the doctor, she was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease and was found to have 18 tumors on her thyroid. Twelve of the tumors tested positive for cancer. The star had her thyroid taken out and has been undergoing radiation treatment in New York. And though she's spent most of the summer at home, the singer is planning to participate in the 2016 TCS NYC Marathon in November to help raise funds for Tuesday's Children, an organization that supports youth and families affected by terrorism or traumatic loss. "The work, pressure, & travel in music is not always so forgiving on the mind and heart. It absolutely takes its toll on your body," Jax captioned an Instagram post on Monday. "Sometimes I think the universe is yelling at me to slow down and I just blatantly ignore it." (People)
Prince's half-brother insists he has a right to live in the singer's home for the rest of his life ... which is why he's now squaring off against the guys who are angling to sell it. Omarr Baker just went to court, asking a judge to hear his argument that he has a life estate in the Minnesota home Prince built for his mom. Omarr says he took care of Mattie Shaw for years, until she died in 2002, in exchange for the right to live there until his dying day. As we reported, the bank that is handling Prince's affairs post-mortem has filed docs strongly suggesting it will put all of Prince's properties up for sale. Omarr is willing to work it out with the bank, but if they can't he wants to tell it to the judge. (TMZ)
Amber Heard plans to put Johnny Depp on the stand if her domestic violence/divorce case goes to trial, and she also plans to show the judge evidence she sought medical care in the past for a prior alleged domestic violence incident. Amber's exhibit list includes a 2014 pic of her holding pills, and it appears her lawyer will try to connect the meds to domestic violence. The exhibit list also references medical records relating to a prior alleged act of domestic violence. She also plans to submit videos and audios of Johnny interacting with her at their home. Amber's lawyer, Samantha Spector, submitted their witness lists, which includes her good friend Raquel Pennington and Raquel's boyfriend, Joshua Drew ... both of whom were in the apartment building on May 21, the night she says Johnny brutalized her. She's also calling iO Tillett Wright, the woman with whom Amber was on the phone during the incident. As for putting Johnny on the stand ... Amber's lawyer wants to ask about the incident on the 21st as well as alleged prior domestic violence incidents. Johnny plans to call 23 witnesses, but Amber's list is much shorter ... 7. (TMZ)
Kris Jenner knocked a man right out of his home and onto the street ... but it's not her fault. Turns out the Prius owner with whom she collided last week was living in his car, and now he's car-less and homeless. Jack Way tells us he's an actor/model in the entertainment industry, but work has been hard to come by, and he's been living in his car the last few months to make ends meet. The Prius was totaled after Jack cut in front of Kris' Rolls at a Calabasas intersection. Here's the problem ... it appears the accident was his fault and he doesn't have collision insurance, and he doesn't have the money to get a new whip. So, Jack's calling on friends for a place to sleep every night while he regroups. He's also lawyering up ... he's been in touch with Larry H. Parker, who gets some people $2.1 million ... #We'llFightForYou. (TMZ)
Tyga better not run into cops today, because if he does they'll arrest him. Kylie's BF was a no-show in court Tuesday, where he was supposed to appear so lawyers for his former landlord could grill him about his finances. The landlord got a $480,000 judgment against the rapper who fell way behind on rent and left the Malibu home in shambles. Tyga hasn't paid the judgment, so the landlord wants to know where Tyga's hiding his assets. Attorneys for the landlord were in court today, explaining the landlord was upset over stories he saw that Tyga bought Kylie a $200,000 car for her birthday, which he claims is a fraudulent transfer of assets that should go to satisfy the judgment. The judge issued a bench warrant, which means Tyga could go to jail. The rapper's finances have been curious for a long time. He's had cars repoed, he's been evicted, but he still lives like a king. He recently rented a mansion for $46k a month. #Priorities. (TMZ)
Racer Bryan Clauson Dies at 27 After Car Crash. The racing world has lost one of its most celebrated. Bryan Clauson, a longtime professional racer, died Sunday following a car crash during the Belleville Midget Nationals. His family confirmed his passing in an announcement on Monday after he was hospitalized Saturday for injuries he had sustained from the collision. Clauson was 27 years old. "Last night, the 7th of August, we said goodbye to our son, my fiance, our friend, Bryan Clauson. He was surrounded by family and friends and we were grateful that we could experience his final moments with him," the driver's Facebook page reads. "Our Bryan fought to the end with the same desire that he demonstrated behind the wheel of all the various race cars he would park in victory lane. However, we were more proud of our Bryan that took a moment to make a young fans day, or demonstrated his uncommon kindness and appreciation toward his friends, family and fans." Clauson began competing as a teenager, subsequently becoming the youngest driver in the United States Auto Club's history to win a national feature event. Throughout his career, he won a series of championships, including several USAC National Midget, National Drivers and Sprint Car championships. In 2016, he became the sixth and youngest driver in history to accumulate 100 USAC feature wins. Around the time of his death, Clauson was participating in "The Chasing 200 Tour, Circular Insanity," a series consisting of 200 races, while living out of a motorhome. During Saturday's race, Clauson was in the lead until he climbed the guard rail between turns and flipped before he was hit by Ryan Greth. The driver was airlifted to Bryan Medical Center West in Nebraska. A day earlier, he had taken a "tough hit" during another race. "Thankful he's ok after that," his fiancee Lauren Stewart tweeted Saturday. "This is one of the darkest days in the history of the United States Auto Club," USAC President Kevin Miller said in a statement. "Not only have we lost one of our greatest USAC Champions, we have lost a true ambassador for all of motorsports. Bryan's passion for our sport was unparalleled. He was a leader not only on the track, but in the pits with his fellow competitors. There is a tremendous hole in the hearts of our community today as we grieve his loss along with his family and friends." Republican vice presidential candidate Governor Mike Pence took to social media to publicly express his condolences. "As we pause to honor the passing of a Hoosier racing champion, let us keep the Clauson family & his fiancee Lauren in our thoughts & prayers," he tweeted Monday afternoon. Bryan was set to wed Stewart in February 2017. Our thoughts are with Clauson's family and friends during this difficult time. (Eonline)
THE OTHER STUFF . . .
Sylvester Stallone's Daughter Sistine Stallone Named an It Girl on Town & Country's Annual "Modern Swans" List. Sistine Stallone, one of Sylvester Stallone's three daughters, has officially been dubbed an "it girl" by Town & Country magazine. The publication releases its "New Modern Swans" list every year, naming the 50 "most stylish -- and talked-about -- young women" in the world. Landing the cover of the annual issue, however, are three of the "swans": Sistine, Ella Richards and Princess Olympia of Greece. Sistine, 18, is the middle child of Rocky Balboa and Jennifer Flavin, and is making her way as an up-and-coming model. Signed with IMG, Sistine hopes to further her modeling career outside of Los Angeles. "I feel that a smart move would be for me to go to college in New York and continue modeling there," she tells T&C, "but it all kind of depends on if I'm working, and what my parents think." Other "swans" on the list include Danielle Lauder, Estee Lauder's great-grand daughter; Isabella Huffington, Ariana Huffington's daughter; and Eve Jobs, Steve Jobs' youngest daughter. Sistine has appeared in Teen Vogue, and in an accompanying interview the young model opened up about following in her mom's footsteps. "She's like my wingman. She's taught me my good side, my bad side, how to walk for the runway, and how to become someone else in a certain outfit," Sistine told the publication. "Modeling is basically acting, changing personalities. You don't want to be yourself." As for growing up in the spotlight as a Stallone, Sistine said she couldn't have asked for a better family. "I'm grateful to have been born into a loving family [and] I'm thankful for the life they've given me," she said. "A lot of my friends don't have the opportunities we have. We travel a lot, everywhere from Rome to Thailand; Dad's work is basically our vacation." (Eonline)
Uzo Aduba Talks Self-Acceptance in Essence: "I Am Enough." It's impossible to talk about Orange Is the New Black without talking about Uzo Aduba. As the scene-stealing inmate Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren, Aduba has endeared herself to Netflix viewers since the series premiered in 2013. Aduba later won two Emmys and two SAG Awards for her gripping performance, validating her childhood dream of becoming a successful actress. Ironically, had it not been for the dramedy, Aduba may have quit show business altogether. "There have been times in my life where I have doubted, questioned, felt tired, but I had never quit before in my core. My heart never quit," the 35-year-old actress says in the September issue of Essence, on newsstands Aug. 12. "And that was the first time I felt my heart give out on me." Forty-five minutes after she quit, Aduba was cast in the ensemble series. "I lost my mind. I'm running around my apartment crying," she recalls. "I was like, 'You don't understand. I just quit.' And my agent quoted The Godfather line: 'Just when you thought you were out, they pull you back in.'" Critics praised the show from the start, and word-of-mouth made it one of the most popular programs on Netflix. "People were thirsty, but they didn't even know what they were thirsty for until they saw our show," Aduba says of the show's diverse cast and rich storylines. "They wanted stories that felt inclusive of their existence, where they could see themselves...I never imagined a Bantu knot-wearing woman named Crazy Eyes would do all of this. Definitely not." Breaking into show business wasn't easy, and many times, an up-and-coming Aduba was told she needed to change something about herself in order to meet certain expectations. To her credit, she ignored that advice and forged her own path to stardom. "This business will try to convince you that you're not enough. That you're not pretty enough, thin enough, talented enough, interesting enough, experienced enough, and I say, 'Enough. Enough with that!' Who are you to tell me that I am not enough when I know that I am more than enough? I cannot subscribe to anyone else's idea of how I am meant to look, what size I am meant to be, whether I have a gap in my teeth, how I'm supposed to behave, what your idea of what my black womanhood is supposed to look like," Aduba tells Essence. "No. This is me. I am just Uzo. I can't be anything other than that, and I don't want to be." (Eonline)
Alessia Cara Reveals Hair Loss Struggle: "Why Am I So Young and Having to Deal With This?" Alessia Cara's new song, "Scars to Your Beautiful," speaks volumes to anyone who hears it...especially the pop star herself. The new tune, which is an anthem for anyone who has felt uncomfortable and awkward in his/her own skin, will only be performed by Cara totally makeup free, because she wants to stay true to the song's message. In a new essay for Glamour, Cara opens up about her bold choice and the ailment that led her to writing the powerful song. "We decided that every performance I do of 'Scars,' every interview I do about it, I am not going to be wearing any makeup, because how could I be preaching a song about being yourself and being beautiful and perfect the way you are -- and have a full face of makeup?" she writes in her essay. "I want to show people that I am comfortable enough to go on national television and just be myself. It would only feel right if I am 100 percent me." Although she's comfortable in her skin now, Cara used to constantly fret about her appearance because she started to go bald when she was just a preteen. "I started losing my hair in chunks in the shower. It was one of the scariest things. It got to the point where it was visibly gone," she admits. "I struggled with that a lot, especially going into high school. You have so many pressures -- what people are going to think of you -- and I was going into it losing all my hair. I had, like, nothing left." Having been in early high school at the time, Cara was mocked for her bald spots. "It was patches of missing hair that people would point out, because people are mean in high school," she shares. But after being thrust into the spotlight, the "Here" songstress learned to accept her flaws. "I was constantly looking for hairstyles to hide the bald spots. And I didn't know why it was happening. I just kept thinking, 'Why am I so young and having to deal with this?' I didn't want people to look at me, I didn't want people to get too close," she confesses. "Even now, I struggle with it; sometimes, you can see that my hair is missing in some spots. I have just learned how to accept it," she adds. "Being in the public eye, you're always worried about what angle people are going to take pictures of you at. I don't really care anymore. I just let my hair dry naturally; I don't hide it." No, You Didn't See Princess Kate in Rio-She Just Has an Olympic Twin! Did this past weekend's women's road race have you wondering if Princess Kate leads a double life as an Olympic cyclist? There's a reason why. No, she's not in Rio herself, but Kate does have a separated-at-birth doppelganger competing in the Olympics for the French cycling team: Pauline Ferrand-Prevot. And although she's a decade younger than the royal, the facial similarity between Ferrand-Prevot, 24, and Kate, 34, is uncanny. Both have the same dimples, the same lynx-like eyes perched regally above perfect smiles from pristine teeth-okay, the French biker is a dirty blonde and Kate, as we know, is a brunette. But hair colors aside, that scary-similar bone structure can't be denied. Though Kate is typically the one making headlines, Ferrand-Prevot has already made quite a name for herself in her sport. She's the first person ever in the history of cycling to hold the World Road title, World Cyclo-Cross title and World Mountain Bike title at the same time. And regardless of how the French cyclist fares on two wheels down in Rio, if there's ever to be a Olympic event for athletes with a royal resemblance, we'd bet Ferrand-Prevot would prove to be a gold medal winner. Lindsay Lohan can't seem to bring herself to take off her engagement ring. On Monday evening, The Parent Trap alum appeared to be in good spirits while attending Fawaz Gruosi's 64th birthday party at the Hotel Cala di Volpe in Sardinia, Italy. Not to mention, this outing comes only a couple of days after the former Disney darling opened up about needing "closure" over her estrangement with fiance Egor Tarabasov. Well that explains why Miz Lohan was photographed still rocking the gorgeous emerald gifted to her by the Russian businessman. In fact, LiLo put the bling on FULL display as she posed for another pic in a different frock. (Perez Hilton)

The 'Real Housewives' star was gasping for air in an Atlanta shopping center lot and fell to the ground. ATL Fire and Rescue came to the scene after multiple witnesses dialed 911. Porsha was taken to Piedmont Hospital. As far as we know she's still in the hospital and doing ok. Our Porsha sources chalk it up to not eating. You'll recall ... Porsha's low blood sugar caused a fainting spell mid-flight back in March. Someone get the woman some crackers. (TMZ)
Rihanna Reacts to Her Face in a Snapchat Filter: "I Look White." While other celebrities can't get enough of Snapchat and its virtual effects, Rihanna doesn't quite know who she's looking at. Before a night out, the Grammy winner and two gal pals took turns playing around with the social media app while posing. Dressed in a canary yellow frock, the Barbadian songstress looked back at her reflection with some confusion. "I look white," she said while studying her nose. She captioned the snap "Mixed b--ches always in denial." In an additional video, the singer fixated on how her nose looked before the clip cut off. As her friend kept using the filter, Rihanna appeared less than thrilled. "She's so over me," Leandra Simone said about her famous friend. This isn't the first time Rihanna has called out the filter for her altered appearance. A week earlier, she and friend, professional photographer Melissa Forde, were videotaping themselves on Snapchat while in a car. "I don't even look like myself," she complained. "Who's nose is that? And my eyes cross." While Rihanna isn't so keen on Snapchat filters, there is one special guy who loves her just how she is -- Drake. After years of an off-and-on romance, the rapper publicly declared his love for the "Work" singer in front of hundreds. "If you've got love for Rihanna in New York City...cuz you know I've got love for Rihanna," he reportedly told the audience during his concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City. While a source told E! News "Drake would make her his girlfriend in a second if he could," his leading lady is in no rush. "Rihanna loves Drake, but is still not ready to put a title on them." Labels aside, their relationship is advancing. "Things are great though and their connection is really strong," the source noted. "Things are progressing nicely." (Eonline)
Paulina Gretzky Slams Internet Critics in Defense of Dustin Johnson Missing the Olympics. Paulina Gretzy does not want anyone badmouthing her man. The model and singer, who is engaged to golf pro Dustin Johnson, took to Instagram Monday to defend the athlete against mounting digital criticism. A word to the wise, naysayers: she reads the comments. After Johnson shared a photo of himself with Gretzky on a boat Saturday, comments poured in attacking the 2016 U.S. Open champion for opting out of the Olympics this year. In July, the 32-year-old, who is currently ranked second in the world, announced he was not heading to Rio de Janeiro in fear of Zika and its potential health risks, particularly since he and Paulina plan to have more children together after welcoming son Tatum in 2015. Though golf finally returned to the Olympics after a 112-year absence this year, Johnson was still among 13 golfers to withdraw at the time because of the health concern. However, the excuse was not enough to quiet his attackers. "Watch out for that zika Dustin," one Instagram user commented. "Thanks for competing on our Olympic team.. Oh wait the lake was more important," another quipped. As the slams continued, Paulina, who is the daughter of former ice hockey champion Wayne Gretzky, gave everyone an uncensored piece of her mind. "Listen here you hating pieces of shit trolls," she began. "I'll say it once he didn't work his ass of his entire life for a gold medal he achieved his MAJOR and let everyone else do what they need to do and leave my fanf -- kingtastic man alone [peace sign]." Many fans also came to the couple's defense, including one man who wrote, "Listen guys. It's just a nice picture of a loving couple. Calm down. If the guy didn't want to go to Rio that's his business." Meanwhile, the American Olympic golfers are not scheduled to tee up until Thursday for the first round of the men's individual. As for Dustin, he'll be soaking in the sun with his partner "all summer long." (Eonline)
Thai Weightlifter's Grandmother Dies While Watching Him Win Bronze Medal at Viewing Party. An Olympian's big win turned bittersweet Monday when his grandmother died while watching him receive the bronze medal. Thai weightlifter Sinphet Kruaithong, who competed in the 56-kilogram division of the sport, found out his 84-year-old grandmother, Subin Khongthap, died at a viewing party at the Kruaithong family home in Ban Phon Muang of Chumphon Buri district. According to reports, Khongthap regained consciousness five minutes later but was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Thai police believe the cause of death is heart failure but won't know for sure until the results come back. "The initial assumption is that she died from heart failure -- but we have to wait for the hospital's result," Somwang Prangprakoan, a police officer in the Surin province, told Agence France-Presse. "I'm not sure if she was too excited, or if maybe she was already ill." Local media interviewed the excited matriarch in the days prior to her grandson's competition. "I cheer him on, fight fight! I miss my grandson and want him to be successful," she said, according to The Telegraph. "He does this for the country to bring the gold medal back." Kruaithong placed third behind China's Long Qingquan and North Korea's Om Yun Chol. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kruaithong's family. (Eonline)
Why So Serious? Michael Phelps' Game Face Is the Stuff of Meme Dreams. The most decorated Olympian of all time certainly looks like his head is in the game. As Michael Phelps forges ahead in Rio with one gold medal already around his neck, fans are keenly tuned into his every move. However, in between races, it was what he did behind the scenes that blossomed into a viral moment. Before competing in the 200-meter butterfly semifinal on Monday night, cameras caught a glimpse of Phelps seated in the aquatics center ready room as competitor and South African swimmer Chad le Clos was shadowboxing in front of him. The 31-year-old Maryland native sat in the corner with his hood over his head and headphones over his ears, staring intensely into the void with his hands clasped in his lap. Suffice to say, the athlete was as focused as ever. As is second nature for the Internet, the moment immediately became the punchline of every digital joke as fans likened his #PhelpsFace to virtually everything from Darth Vader to an angry patron at Starbucks. Arguably the most adorable comparison came between him and his 3-month-old son Boomer Phelps. Today put Michael's expression next to a photo of his son watching the competition from the night earlier. The baby boy stole the show Sunday when he appeared in the stands on his mother Nicole Johnson's lap. The infant has earned major style nods for his patriotic noise-canceling headphones and matching star-printed baby carrier. "Thanks for sharing your gold medal with me dad!!! I love you and can't wait til I get to see you," Boomer's Instagram account read. Yes, Boomer has his own Instagram account and it has accumulated nearly 140,000 followers. Phelps' son has been a fixture of the Olympic Games thus far, popping up in the stands virtually every time his famous father competes. "Time to wake up!!!" his account read Monday. "Daddy is racing soon!!!" It's safe to say we've found Michael's biggest fan. (Eonline)
Ivanka Trump Sets the Record Straight on Whether She'd Get Into Politics. Is Ivanka Trump eyeing a job in the White House? That seemed to be the question on everybody's mind once Donald Trump began his campaign for presidency, and it was only heightened after hearing the entrepreneur and daughter of the Republican nominee speak on his behalf at the RNC in Cleveland. However, although the mother of three has previously said "never say never" when it came to considering a future in politics, Ivanka felt the need to clarify her statement during an interview with Harper's Bazaar. "I made the mistake of once saying, 'Never say never,'" she said. "I do believe that in life there are so many things I'm doing today that I never thought I'd be doing, so I generally take that perspective. But I said that, and the headline was IVANKA MIGHT RUN FOR OFFICE, so...But, no, it's not something I think I would ever do." But, Ivanka adds that she may have a change of heart if her father takes over the White House. "The presidency of the United States is an incredible thing. You have an ability to effectuate change at the highest level. There are issues I am deeply passionate about." As for what those things are, she tells the magazine, "Well, obviously, I'm a huge advocate for women and women's issues, like child care. The cost of child care is incredibly onerous. In half the country, the cost of child care exceeds the cost of housing. It's the largest expense for households. It's not sustainable or appropriate." Ivanka touched on some of these topics during her memorable speech at the Republican National Convention last month. "There have always been men of all background and ethnicities on my father's job sites, and long before it was common place, you also saw women. My father values talent. He recognizes real knowledge and skill when he finds it. He is color blind and gender neutral. He hires the best person for the job, period." She later continued, "When Donald Trump is in charge, all that counts is ability, effort and excellence. This has long been the philosophy at the trump organization. At my father's company, there are more female than male executives. Women are paid equally for the work that we do and when a woman becomes a mother, she is supported, not shut out... "Politicians talk about wage equality, but my father has made it a practice at his company throughout his entire career. He will fight for equal pay for equal work, and I will fight for this too right alongside of him." (Eonline)
Starbucks Is Finally Adding This Highly-Requested Item to the Menu. Starbucks fans, ask and you shall receive. After weeding through thousands of ideas from customers and baristas on their crowd sourcing platform My Starbucks Idea, the coffee company announced they will introduce almond milk starting on September 6. The non-dairy beverage was one of the site's top customer product requests, according to a press release. Previously, soy milk and coconut milk were the only non-dairy options at Starbucks. Competitor Dunkin' Donuts has offered almond milk for some time so Starbucks is likely hoping the new development will convert at least a few Dunkin' fans. Starbucks -- which will charge customers an additional 60 cents for almond milk -- developed their own recipe to compliment their hot, iced and Frappuccino beverages. "It was designed so that when steamed, it creates a rich foam for hot beverages and is delicious and creamy when served in cold beverages," said Yoke Wong, manager on Starbucks' beverage research and development team. Almond milk is not just for those with lactose intolerance. The lactose free, gluten free option is lower in calories and sugar, with just 3 grams of sugar compared to 12-13 grams in 2% dairy milk. And because it is unflavored, "customers can customize to their taste preferences," says Wong. (People)

'N Sync Reunites for JC Chasez's 40th Birthday. 'N Sync has finally reunited. While there's no new music on the horizon (that we know of, anyway), Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Justin Timberlake banded together to celebrate JC Chasez's 40th birthday. Timberlake shared a picture of the boy band's get-together with his 33.3 million Instagram followers late Monday writing, "JC's 40th... And, if you don't know now you know..." Chasez is the second member of 'N Sync to reach the milestone age. Kirkpatrick is 44, while Bass, Fatone and Timberlake are all in their 30s. Kirkpatrick poked fun at Chasez on Twitter, sharing an old photo and writing, "Happy birthday @JCChasez! Welcome to the old man club!" Though their boy band rivals, Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees, have stayed together and continued to tour, 'N Sync's reunions have been minimal as they each pursue solo endeavors. In 2013, the "Bye Bye Bye" singers had a 90-second reunion during Timberlake's MTV VMA Video Vanguard Performance. "Two minutes after seeing everybody you feel like no time has passed," Chasez told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show. "Essentially everybody has remained the same. And again, we all see each other at different times, working on different things, but this is the first time that we had a rehearsal together in over 10 years. So everybody's going, 'Can we go through this slowly one more time?' That part was pretty funny." 'N Sync was back into the groove after 30 minutes. "Everything is memory, muscle memory, and everything started to click," Chasez said. "And before you know it we were good to go." Kirkpatrick agreed that it felt "exactly the same," telling an Orlando radio station, "I felt so confident again. When I get up there with those guys, I feel like I can't mess up; I can't go wrong. Those are my brothers. That's what we've always done. We just go up and do what we do." After their 2013 MTV VMAs performance, rumors of a reunion resurfaced every so often. But, as Fatone told The Huffington Post in 2014, the chances of that happening are slim. "It was fun, it was interesting, but I don't know if it's ever going to happen again," he said. "I don't know whether or not something will ever happen again, but again, you always say 'never say never' because that happened. That was never gonna happen, and all of a sudden it did happen." Britney Spears' 'Clumsy' Is Coming This Week. Watch out: Britney Spears is getting all clumsy on us. The pop superstar is back from vacation and ready to get down to work with the release this week of "Clumsy." Brit announced the "Clumsy" news with a tweet. "Clumsy," which follows Glory lead single "Make Me" and "Private Show," will drop Wednesday late, according a story published by Popcrush and retweeted by Spears. "I love how you go down/Bangin' all over this bedroom/Call me a fool, call me insane/But don't call it a day/Oh, oh, oh...oops/Ay, ay, ay, clumsy," Brit sings in its chorus. Popcrush describes the new track -- written by Spears and Talay Riley and co-produced by Warren "Oak" Felder and Alex Nice-as "surely one of her most full-on club-pop moments." Glory, Spears' ninth studio album, is slated for release on Aug. 26. (Billboard)
'The Simpsons' Going Long With Hip-Hop Episode Featuring Taraji P. Henson & Keegan-Michael Key. The first-ever hour-long episode of The Simpsons will take on two American originals: hip-hop and F. Scott Fitzgerald. According to Entertainment Weekly, the longest-running American sitcom of all time will celebrate its 28th season in January by doing something it's never done before -- running a full hour. The double-stuffed episode will be a hip-hop spoof of Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby entitled, wait for it, "The Great Phatsby," and it will feature guest voice work from Empire star Taraji P. Henson and Key & Peele's Keegan-Michael Key. The stunt was discussed on Monday during Fox's presentation at the TCA Summer Press Tour, where EW said it was revealed that the episode centers on the "destruction of a friendship between [Mr.] Burns and an enigmatic hip-hop mogul named Jay G. (aka Jay Gatsby). "This was just going to be a regular episode, but the table read went so well, in a fit of passion and excitement and ambition and excess, we decided to supersize it," Simpsons executive producer Matt Selman said. "And we haven't done a huge amount of stories in the world of hip-hop and rap culture, so we just went for it." The majority of the episode takes place at Burns' summer mansion in the Springfield Hamptons, with Homer narrating the tale à la the novel's Nick Carroway. "Burns is an old-school Gatsby and Jay G is a new-school Gatsby," said Selman, "and their mutual Gatsbyism brings them together." After the two bond, Jay G "seduces" Burns into the flossy hip-hop lifestyle, which eventually drains the billionaire's coffers, allowing Jay G to snatch up Burns' nuclear power plant. The episode also gives Lisa a rich boyfriend, casts Key as rapper Jazzy James, intent on getting revenge on Jay G for an old slight and has Henson playing a Cookie-esque character named Praline. Henson will be joined on the episode by another Empire break-out star, producer/songwriter Jim Beanz, who produces the music for the hit Fox drama. (Billboard)

Tom Cruise's 'Mena' Movie Pushed to Fall 2017, Gets New Title. The Universal film is directed by Doug Liman. Universal is pushing back the release of Tom Cruise-starrer Mena from Jan. 6, 2017 to Sept. 29, 2017. The movie, directed by Doug Liman, is also getting a new title: American Made. The project reunites Liman and Cruise after making 2014's Edge of Tomorrow together. American Made stars Cruise as real-life American pilot and hustler Barry Seal, who ran drugs in the 1980s for cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar and was recruited by the CIA to run one of the biggest covert operations in history. (Cruise himself is a trained pilot.) The film is financed by Cross Creek Pictures, with Universal handling distribution and marketing duties. Universal insiders say the fall corridor, which is primetime for adult dramas, is a better fit for American Made. (Hollywood Reporter)
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Slams ''Chicken S--t'' Fast 8 Male Co-Stars. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is furious. The actor hopped on social media to vent his frustrations over filming Fast 8 and took particular aim at his male co-workers. While the wrestler turned actor didn't name names, he did write a lengthy post about how thankful he is to be in his final week of shooting the highly anticipated flick. "There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one," he began by writing. "An incredibly hard working crew. Universal Studios Entertainment has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em." Johnson then went in on the other half of his set-mates, writing, "My male co-workers however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken s--t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses." The 44-year-old then added that fans are in for the real deal when they catch the movie on the big screen. "When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling -- you're right. Bottom line is it'll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that's embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part. Final week on Fast 8 and I will finish strong #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses." None of Johnson's male co-workers, including Scott Eastwood, Tyrese, Jason Statham and Ludacris have directly responded to the Facebook post... yet. It should be noted, however, that Eastwood did bring up his castmates in a recent interview with Esquire. Clint Eastwood's son told the mag that the acting legend offered him one sage piece of advice when it came to movie-making: never go back to your trailer. "I'm on this Fast and the Furious movie right now, and everyone goes back to their trailer," Scott explained, "I stick around and say, 'Why are you setting up the shot like this?' I want to learn." Vin Diesel went live on Facebook after Johnson's post and taped himself saying, "The last week has been so crazy working here. I haven't been able to post but soon I'm going to be home with my angels and then I'll be able to post a little bit more...Always be you and stay positive out there." No word yet on whether that was a direct response or not. (Eonline)
The Rock's male co-stars in "Fast 8" are all pissed at him for obliquely calling some of them out as candy ass divas ... and they think his tirade is all about ego ... so say production sources on the set. Our sources say all of the male co-stars are shooting Tuesday -- The Rock, Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Tyrese, Ludacris, Scott Eastwood and others. We're told they are all getting hounded by people who want to know who Rock was putting on blast. Rock said on social media Monday, "My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken s*** to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses." We're told the male co-stars think Rock was out of line to talk crap, but given that he did they think it's unforgivable he wasn't specific because now they're all suspects. Our sources say the co-stars -- male and female -- are especially upset because filming wraps in a week and a half and, as one put it, "This is a hell of a way to end it." One source who is embedded in the production tells us there have been various conflicts because of "extreme egos" among most of the top actors, with the help of their agents and lawyers. But we're told none of the actors felt the public criticism was appropriate. And we're told The Rock has not said anything today on set to clarify his remarks and the actors still don't know to whom he was referring. Our sources eliminate Tyrese and Luda, but all of the others are possibilities. One source with knowledge of the situation tells TMZ, we can expect something on social media today that will clarify things. (TMZ)

Robert De Niro, Julianne Moore to Star in David O. Russell TV Series. CAA is fielding multiple offers for the project, sight unseen. Talk about star power. David O. Russell is prepping a TV series starring Robert De Niro and Julianne Moore, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Details about the plot are being kept under wraps. There is neither a production company attached nor a network, but CAA -- who reps Russell -- already has multiple offers for the project sight unseen. Sources say Russell's camp is looking for a major commitment for the project, which is said to be a limited series, and its high-level cast. Russell is expected to begin pitching the potential series next week when he returns from vacation. It's unclear who is hearing the pitch and whether the outlets that have already made offers for the A-list project are from the broadcast, cable, premium or streaming side. Scott Lambert, Alexandra Milchan and Megan Ellison are attached to produce the series with Russell at the helm. Insiders caution that the entire package could still fall apart, but given the high-level talent attached, that seems unlikely. Russell's largest TV commitment to date is 2014's The Club, which was picked up with a 12-episode straight-to-series order at ABC. He quickly exited the project and ABC reversed course on the series, which was poised to star Betsy Brandt. The latest project comes as A-list talent continues to segue to the small screen, where many are drawn by limited episode counts, stronger creative and more time to explore the material and characters. On the TV side, high-level talent helps broadcast, cable and streaming outlets cut through the increasing amount of original scripted programming in the so-called Peak TV world where talent and recognizable IP are considered keys to breaking through the clutter. The Russell/De Niro/Moore project comes after Russell earned back-to-back screenwriting Oscar nominations for Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. Moore recently won an Emmy for HBO's Game Change. De Niro, for his part, scored a supporting Oscar nomination for his role in Silver Lining Playbook. (Hollywood Reporter)
Alien Miley Cyrus Is "Out to Destroy" Blake Shelton and Adam Levine in The Voice's New Season 11 Promo. A new era of The Voice is upon us. In the latest promo for season 11, coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine don sunglasses and black suits (the last ones they'll ever wear?) to investigate some new, sparkly arrivals to The Voice universe, AKA new coaches Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys, who make their debut during a special Olympics episode on Aug. 21, before the official season premiere on Monday, Sept. 19. In the crazy, weird and totally awesome promo, Blake and Adam do their best Men in Black impersonations, while Alicia and Miley make their out-of-this-world entrances. When Blake asks if they've come in peace, the new coaches make it clear they are coming for the win. "We've come to destroy you!" Miley says, while rocking a glittery jumpsuit, a white wig and big sunglasses. (Obviously.) "We're in trouble," Blake says. Yeah, you can say that again. "We're doing a Men in Black theme," Shelton exclusively told E! News of filming of the promo. "Alicia and Miley come in and there's a new order. Somebody has taken over the world and Adam and I just trying to find our way these days." If everyone looked a little windblown in that promo, well, that's because they definitely were. "It's getting a little windy out here," Blake explained during the shoot. "It's getting very late at night but lucky for us, we're musicians and it's just when we start comin' alive." The Voice officially returns Monday, September 19 at 8 p.m. with two new coaches and a whole bunch of new mentors, including Bette Midler, Charlie Puth, Sammy Hagar, and Joan Jett. However, Miley and Alicia will make their debuts in a special Olympic episode, which airs Aug. 21. Updated: The full version of the new season 11 promo was released on Aug. 8, and it's just as crazy as expected. (Eonline)
American Horror Story Season 6 Theme Mystery: Why FX Is Keeping You Guessing About the Show. American Horror Story season six is coming in just a matter of weeks, yet fans are still guessing about the theme. That's the point, according to John Landgraf, the CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions. "We just thought it would really be fun to keep it a mystery, so we are," Landgraf told press at the 2016 TCA Summer Press Tour. Landgraf said he worked with co-creator Ryan Murphy and marketing guru Stephanie Gibbons to come up with the plan. FX only gets one script into the office for Landgraf and it's redacted with just the necessary information present. And as for those trailers, well, they're all part of the misdirection. "They went out and made many more trailers than you've actually seen for...different genres and different places," Landgraf teased. "I just love it on an artistic level. One of them is accurate, the others are all misdirects." Which trailer is accurate? That's not a secret Landgraf will ever tell... "We just thought that would be a nice change... all I can say is there is a theme, a setting and a place, but were not going to reveal it," Landgraf said. When asked if FX and Murphy have discussed an end date for American Horror Story, which is now in is sixth season, Landgraf dismissed the idea. "We haven't talked about," Landgraf said. "All good things must come to an end, but...[as long as] Ryan keeps coming up with new and original ends and the audience wants to see it... As long as you can keep coming up with new ideas you can keep going... it's only the limits of [the] stories and imaginations that end the show. Only time will tell." American Horror Story returns with a mystery theme and somewhat of a mystery cast (Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Lady Gaga and more will be back, but a full cast list has not been released) on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. on FX. Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah Won't Be Back on Saturday Night Live. Worst. News. Ever. Saturday Night Live is going to be missing two very important faces when it returns this fall for season 42. E! News has confirmed that both Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah will not be back, each after six seasons on the long-running sketch show. Their exits come at a particularly unfortunate time, because we were definitely looking forward to Pharoah's take on President Barack Obama's speeches this summer and Killam's take on Donald Trump's...everything. The show will have some big shoes to fill with some potential new hires before it returns in the fall. According to TVLine, who first reported the news, both Killam and Pharoah are leaving in order to pursue other projects. Aside from President Obama, Pharoah has given us memorable impressions of Kanye West, Katt Williams, Ben Carson, and Jay-Z, while Killam also put on a great Marco Rubio, Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey, and also gave us the unforgettable Jebediah Atkinson, whose harsh reviews of pretty much everything will live on in our hearts forever. So far, no new hires for season 42 have been announced, but that news should come out within the next few weeks. (Eonline)
Another Saturday Night Live Cast Member Is Leaving the Show Ahead of Season 42. And the Saturday Night Live exodus continues. Following the surprising news that Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah will not be returning for season 42, E! News has confirmed that Jon Rudnitsky will also be leaving the show. Rudnitsky made his debut during the 2015-16 season and was the only newbie in season 41, but really didn't have a standout moment until he performed a Dirty Dancing parody during Weekend Update in a February episode, hosted by Larry David. He also did impressions of Tom Cruise, Vladimir Putin and Anderson Cooper during his time on the show. While Rudnitsky has yet to sound off on his departure, Killam, who had been on the show for six seasons, admitted in an interview with Uproxx that he "doesn't know why" SNL decided not to pick up his contract. "You sign for seven years, so I had one more year," he said. "I had sort of had it in my head I would make this upcoming year my last year, but then heard they weren't going to pick up my contract. I was never given a reason why, really." (Killam noted he is set to direct a movie, Why We're Killing Gunther, and speculated that his commitment to that may have played a factor.) Still, Killam is "grateful" for his time on the show, saying, "My feeling about it is I got my dream job. I set out to be on SNL and I got to do that and I did very well. And I love and adore and will forever have close ties and tight bonds with the brilliant, smartest, funniest people I've ever met in my life. So, I have no gripes at all. I am so, so, so lucky to have been given the time I've been given." Pharoah has yet to comment on his exit from the show. SNL is expected to announce new cast members for season 42 in the next few weeks. (Eonline)

It's time to separate caricature from real people and that's what we are doing with Strut." Take a look at the trailer. There are hookups, fights, drink tossing and so much shade. "Each member of the cast of Strut reminds us that we are all connected by the same desires to live a life of acceptance, love and truth," Rod Aissa, executive vice president of original programming and development at Oxygen Media, said in a statement. "Despite obstacles from the world around them, the series showcases these individuals courageously opening up their world to viewers in a very compelling way." Mark-Paul Gosselaar Is Unrecognizable in Pitch -- And That's the Point. Mark-Paul Gosselaar certainly doesn't look like Zack Morris anymore and that's on purpose. The Saved By the Bell veteran looks unrecognizable thanks to Pitch, his new Fox drama about the first female pitcher in Major League Baseball. He's bearded and beefy, all for the role. "I'll keep that a secret because insurance, because I may not qualify for life insurance," Gosselaar told reporters at the 2016 TCA Summer Press Tour when asked how much weight he put on. "They always ask you oh have you gained or lost five pounds in a year and I'm like, 'Five pounds? I lose that in a week! I gain it in a week.' It was substantial. It's not too often that you walk into a casting room and the creator of the show says, 'I'd like to have you to play a character.' A lot of times in television they'll have you come in and there's a character on the page, but they're really buying yourself." Gosselaar spent his formative years growing up as as Zack Morris on Saved By the Bell. "I've been in the industry for a while and I do have something that follows me. Dan [Fogelman, creator] was really the first to say I want to break that. I don't want people to recognize you right away... that's the beard... My wife hates it. She says I didn't buy you with a beard. 'I want the model without the beard,'" he said. "We have four children and I think it'll remain at four children, let me put it that way. It's a home-grown contraceptive. Dan, going back to the point of the beard ... he said you need to gain weight to be believable as a catcher. These guys run 200 and above and so that's where we are." In Pitch, Gosselaar plays Mike Lawson, the catcher of the San Diego Padres. Kylie Bunbury stars as Ginny Baker, the rookie pitcher. The feeling of being the rookie and wanting to impress the team is one he said he's very familiar. "I think I've walked onto set every time like that, I'm going to be honest with you. I understand the anxiety that comes with it," he said. "The need to succeed, to make everyone believe that you belong there. Those are things that I still struggle with to this day when I walk onto a set... " He's been in the industry since 1986 and following Saved By the Bell starred in numerous projects including Franklin and Bash, but Pitch is the defining career highlight he said. "This is the biggest thing I've ever been a part of," he said. Pitch premieres Thursday, Sept. 22 at 9 p.m. on Fox. (Eonline)
Tom Sizemore was hired because he's a good dramatic actor, but he was just fired for too much real-life drama in his personal life. Production sources at USA's "Shooter" tell TMZ ... producers fired Tom after his arrest 2 weeks ago for allegedly beating his girlfriend. You'll recall ... last month he ran over a stuntman on set. He and his manager parted ways over money disputes and drug use allegations. Tom's camp confirmed he was released from "Shooter" ... but claim if he's ultimately found not guilty he could get the gig back. (TMZ)
Bachelor in Paradise Stars Reveal Chad Johnson's Behavior Was Even "Worse" Than What ABC Aired. Thought Chad Johnson's behavior couldn't possibly get any worse? Think again. Bachelor in Paradise stars Nick Viall and Sarah Herron visited E! News ahead of Monday night's episode of the ABC reality hit, which featured the exit of Chad, who managed to get belligerently drunk, threaten violence, and offend every cast member, especially Sarah, calling her a "one armed b--ch," all on the first night. Ding-dong, the meathead is gone! But it sounds like Chad may have gotten off easy, with Nick and Sarah revealing ABC actually didn't air the worst of his behavior. (Though they did confirm he definitely pooped his pants: "It absolutely happened," Nick said. "Like, you literally can't make that stuff up.") "If anything, the show has always been limited by time constraints, there's a lot they didn't show," Nick told us of Chad's edit during his short time on BIP. "So if anything, it was probably worse than what you saw. They certainly did not exaggerate it." Sarah simply added, "It was worse!" And while Chad issued an apology to Sarah on social media after the episode aired, Sarah said doesn't believe it "for a second," explaining, "I think he apologized on social media because it's get him attention, but I haven't heard an 'I'm sorry' from him directly. So I don't but it and I don't forgive him yet." During his tirade during the premiere, Sarah was the only cast member to finally stand up to Chad, and viewers cheered for her on social media, praising her for calling out the villain for his misogynistic behavior. Still, she was concerned about how the ordeal would play out on TV. "It was hard to watch, but to be completely honest, I had a hard time dealing with it when I came home from Paradise," Sarah admitted. "I was really in a bad head space for a while. I was really sad and shooken up, because that' not what I went to Paradise for. It was dealing with a lot of anxiety and not sure how it was going to come across." To hear more from Nick and Sarah, including what they think of Chad's behavior on social media, press play on our interview with them above now. Bachelor in Paradise airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

14 at 10 p.m. on FX. The New Luke Cage Trailer Is Here and Sweet Christmas it Is Epic. New York City has a new defender: Luke Cage. The first full trailer for Marvel's Luke Cage is here, with just enough action to tide you over until the Friday, Sept. 30 premiere date. Viewers last saw Mike Colter's Luke Cage in Jessica Jones when he was under the control of Kilgrave (David Tennant). Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) had to shoot him to stop him from killing her. Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) came to their aide and nursed Luke Cage back to health. Now he's out of Hell's Kitchen and in Harlem, and Harlem sure needs him. When his past comes back to haunt him, Luke, who has super strength and unbreakable skin, must fight for the heart of the city he loves. The cast also includes House of Cards star Mahershala Ali as Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Theo Rossi as Shades, Frank Whaley as Rafael Scarfe and Dawson as Claire Temple. Marvel's Luke Cage is just the latest Marvel superhero TV series for Netflix. Daredevil and Jessica Jones predate it, with Iron Fist, The Punisher and The Defenders, a team-up series with the individual heroes coming together. Jessica Jones will return for a second season and Daredevil has a third season in the works. Luke Cage premieres Friday, Sept. 30 on Netflix. (Eonline)
(Eonline)
Oxygen's Strut Is Coming to Break Down Barriers and Throw Shade. Get ready to Strut. Oxygen's new reality series about Slay Model Management, the first exclusively transgender modeling agency, from Whoopi Goldberg is coming Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 9 p.m. and you'll meet Laith De La Cruz, Dominique Jackson, Isis King, Ren Spriggs and Arisce Wanzer. Yes, it's historical and oh so dramatic. "Our models come from all walks of life, all different backgrounds and ethnicities. They are struggling with things we can all relate to -- trying to make ends meet, fighting to make a name for themselves and navigating the minefields of personal relationships," Goldberg said in a statement. "All of these struggles are amplified by the fact that they are also fighting to break down barriers and taking on the responsibility of representing the transgender community in today's society. "Despite obstacles from the world around them, the series showcases these individuals courageously opening up their world to viewers in a very compelling way." Strut premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 9 p.m. on Oxygen. (Eonline)
Mark-Paul Gosselaar Is Unrecognizable in Pitch -- And That's the Point.
Bachelor in Paradise airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC. (Eonline)
