TODAY IS

Mac Daddy from Kris Kross turns 38 today. McDonald's really should have had him as a spokesperson.

Joe Rogan turns 49 today. Years ago, he was the host of a show called "Fear Factor," where contestants had to do daring things. Today that would be the perfect name for a financial news show. However, the show no longer necessary since we have the presidential election.

Joe Jackson, who had the hit "Steppin' Out" a zillion years ago, turns 61 today. If he is steppin' Out, he's doing it more cautiously these days.

Eric Carmen, who at one time was the leader of "The Raspberries," turns 67 today. He sang "Hungry Eyes" from "Dirty Dancing" and a version of "All By Myself"... which Harry Nilsson and Celine Dion both sang, ironically.

Presidential Joke Day -- an "unofficial" national holiday, which is celebrated annually, began on August 11, 1984 when President Ronald Reagan was doing a microphone test and made a joke not realizing that the microphone was on. “My fellow Americans, I am pleased to tell you today that I’ve signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes.”
