Margot Robbie and longtime boyfriend Tom Ackerley have tied the knot in Australia, according to local reports. Australia's The Daily Telegraph claims the couple wed in Byron Bay over the weekend, although they never announced an engagement. The actress was given away by her mother and her three siblings were in attendance, according to U.K.'s The Telegraph. A rep for the actress has not responded to PEOPLE's request for comment. Suspicions of the 26-year-old Suicide Squad star's secret wedding arose when Robbie arrived at an airport in her home country last week wearing a T-shirt that read "Say 'I Do' Down Under." Although no photos of the supposed ceremony have surfaced online, a couple of posts hint at a special occasion involving several of the couple's family members. Robbie's brother Cameron teased that he was "on holiday," and another photo surfaced of him with four women believed to be friends of his sister. The picture was captioned, "The calm before the Summer storm." In addition, Ackerley's brother James posted an image on Instagram with the location tagged as Harvest Newrybar, a popular wedding venue in Byron Bay, on Sunday. Robbie herself shared a romantic black-and-white photo kissing her beau two weeks ago. "This guy," she captioned the pic. The Australian actress and the British assistant director first met in 2013 on the set of the World War II drama Suite Francaise. The pair were spotted on several PDA-packed dates later in June 2014. In the May issue of Vogue, Robbie described Ackerley as "the best-looking guy in London," and gushed about how she fell for her beau. "I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me," she told the publication. "We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, 'Oh, he would never love me back. Don't make it weird, Margot. Don't be stupid and tell him that you like him,'" she continued, adding, "And then it happened, and I was like, 'Of course we're together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.' "(People)
Dylan Dreyer Gives a Raw Review of Childbirth: Baby Calvin "Got Stuck." Baby Calvin is finally here, but it wasn't such a seamless welcoming for Dylan Dreyer. During her post-pregnancy appearance live on Today Monday, the newly minted mom swaddled her baby boy as she recalled her first experience with childbirth. "I pushed for about 3 hours, and he was a big guy and he didn't quite fit, so he got stuck," she said. "We ended up doing a c-section anyway." Dreyer wasn't kidding! After her water broke Friday late Friday night, Calvin Bradley Fichera didn't arrive into the world until Saturday morning mid-snowstorm. The bundle of joy weighed in at 8 pounds and 3 ounces. "Childbirth is a lot harder than I ever thought it was going to be. Wow -- it hurts," the 35-year-old meteorologist added. However, the pain was well worth it. "He is just so precious and is so wonderful. He sleeps, he eats and he doesn't really cry, so I think that's a good combination." Meanwhile, colleague Hoda Kotb noticed how at ease she looked with the newborn in her arms. "I didn't have a natural bone in my body when it came to holding a baby, but it actually does kick in," Dreyer said. "There are instincts there!" As for picking the baby's moniker, that also came pretty easily. "Brian and I were sitting on the couch watching TV and I think someone's name was Calvin, and we were like, 'I kind of like that,'" she said. "It just kind of hit us both at the same time. And same with Bradley. We're trying to set him up to be a cool kid and we thought Calvin Bradley was a good start with that." Congratulations to the brand new family of three! (Eonline)
A Yuletide baby! Khloe Kardashian's boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, welcomed a baby boy with his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig, on December 12, according to X17 Online. While neither parent has shared a photo of their son yet, Craig frequently took to Instagram during her pregnancy to flaunt her baby bump. In her most recent pic from November 30, she wore a formfitting white dress, writing, "Going to miss my bump ... but the best is yet to come!" Craig also celebrated her bundle of joy at a baby shower with several of her friends and her cousin Eniko Parrish in early October. Kardashian, meanwhile, hasn't let the baby get in the way of her romance with the Cleveland Cavaliers player. "Khloe's having fun with him right now and just doesn't want any drama," a source told Us back in October. December 18, Kardashian, 32, posted an Instagram photo with Thompson, 25. In the snap, the couple snuggle up in matching camouflage jackets and the athlete kisses the top of her head. "Him ??," the Strong Looks Better Naked author, who was previously married to dad-of-three Lamar Odom, wrote. Us Weekly exclusively revealed in September that the Good American denim designer was dating the NBA star. A source previously told Us that they've even said "I love you," and Kardashian loves traveling to Cleveland to see her beau. "Khloe is very comfortable and happy there," an insider said of her trips to Thompson's five-bedroom home in Ohio. (US Weekly)
Prince Harry Is ''More Serious'' About Meghan Markle Than Any Other Previous Girlfriend. Things are certainly heating up between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. A source shares brand new details about the couple, telling E! News exclusively that the redheaded royal's relationship with the Suits star is far more than a casual fling. "Harry is more serious [about Meghan] then he ever has been about a woman before," the insider reveals. Additionally, the source confirms previous outlets' reports that Meghan has indeed met big brother Prince William and Kate Middleton, as well as their two young children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. As for Meghan coming face to face with Queen Elizabeth II, Harry hasn't taken it quite to that level just yet. As E! News reported earlier this week, the Los Angeles native jetted across the pond to spend some pre-holiday time with her boyfriend of several months. The couple was spotted shopping for their first Christmas tree together, and according to an eyewitness, "They were in good spirits." It's no secret that Harry appears to have fallen head over heels for Meghan, going out of his way to make their relationship work despite thousands of miles separating them. A few weeks before their latest visit, Prince Harry made a pitstop in Toronto to squeeze in some "private time" with Markle before heading back to London following his official tour of the Caribbean. And shortly before Kensington Palace released that now-infamous statement defending the 32-year-old's leading lady from ongoing harassment, an insider told us that's just how Harry rolls when it comes to the romance department. "It wouldn't surprise me if he's already thinking about engagement just because that's where his head goes but that's not where the relationship is at right now," our source shared. "This is totally Harry. The problem with Harry is when he falls, he falls hard. He goes in big time." Sure, that's not where the relationship was headed then... but what about now? Only time will tell! (Eonline)
Kim Kardashian Spotted Without Her Engagement Ring in Rare Post-Robbery Appearance. Kim Kardashian was missing a key piece of jewelry while out and about Saturday night, in what marked another rare public sighting of her since she survived an armed robbery in Paris two months ago. The 36-year-old was photographed driving an SUV, with her 1-year-old son, Saint, in the back seat and friend Brittny Gastineau in the front passenger's seat. Kim did not appear to wear her engagement ring from husband Kanye West, instead sporting a plain gold wedding band. The reality star has largely kept out of the public eye since robbers held her at gunpoint in Paris and stole at almost $11 million worth of her jewelry, including one of her diamond rings that was reportedly an "upgraded" 20-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond engagement ring Kanye had given to her in September. Kanye had proposed to her in 2013 with a 15-carat ring. Kim has not been photographed with an engagement ring shown since the robbery. She gone, however, gone totally ringless while out and about before, although rarely. Kim and Kanye have recently been the subject of breakup rumors. Neither she nor the rapper, who has been laying low himself since his hospital stay for exhaustion, has commented about the reports. A source had told E! News last week that Kim and Kanye were together at their Los Angeles home and appeared "very sweet together and were very much together." Another source had said the two are "strong" and doing fine as a couple. Kim was ringless when she was spotted in New York hours after the robbery. A day before the incident, she had appeared at an event in the city wearing on her ring finger a massive emerald-cut diamond ring -- similar to both rings Kanye gave her. Gastineau had spent time at Kim and Kanye's Bel-Air home Saturday. She posted on Snapchat footage of the couple's giant Christmas tree and outside holiday decor. On Friday, Kim had surfaced in friend Jonathan Cheban's Snapchat. He had shared a video of her and Kanye's tree and she can be heard talking in the background. Also on Saturday, Gastineau posted images from Kourtney Kardashian's Fast and the Furious-themed double birthday party for her sons Mason, 7, and Reign, 2. (Eonline)
Mariah Carey and backup- dancer boyfriend Bryan Tanaka were together after her Beacon Theatre show on Saturday night. The pair and 30 friends, including "Empire" star Jussie Smollett, hit Bagatelle late after the concert. A spy said, "Tanaka was by Mariah's side" at the Meatpacking hot spot and "couldn't take his eyes off her... the two left together at approximately 3?a.m." Either way, Carey's reportedly been seen around town still wearing her $10 million engagement ring from ex-fiance James Packer. She was seen rocking the rock Thursday in New York. (Page Six)
Right back at ya! It's been months since Demi Lovato dissed Mariah Carey on social media, but the diva is finally fighting back. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday, December 18, Carey played a game of "Plead the Fifth." After dodging questions about her breakup with ex-fiance James Packer, and her new reported romance with backup dancer Bryan Tanaka, she was asked about Lovato's controversial comments last summer. "Demi Lovato, I didn't know this, she kind of shaded you on social media," the host said. "She made assumptions about Ariana Grande, and she said, 'Mariah's a legend and she's so talented but she disses people. It's nasty the way she treats Jennifer [Lopez].' What would you say to Demi?" Carey -- who has famously insists she "doesn't know" Jennifer Lopez, despite the Latina singer's insistence that they've met "many times" -- didn't hold back. "I don't know her either and so I wouldn't say anything to her," she said about Lovato, 24. "She should come up, introduce herself to me, say, 'Here's my opinion, what do you think about it?' That's how you handle s--t, OK?" Earlier in the interview Cohen also asked his guest if she knew Ariana Grande. "No," she said matter of factly. "I don't know... Honestly, I'm not familiar. I listen to hip-hop more than I listen to pop music." (US Weekly)
A day after Rob Kardashian claimed his fiancee, Blac Chyna, left him and took their 1-month-old daughter, Dream, the former couple's Instagram fight continued when they exchanged nasty comments on an Instagram photo of their baby. The Arthur George sock designer, 29, posted a since-deleted photo of Dream, who appears to be giving a thumbs-up, in a pink onesie. "I really miss this girl,,, never felt so in love with someone the way I do with you Dream! Look she has her thumbs up," he wrote on Sunday, December 18. "Never thought a woman would try to take my happiness when all I wanted was to make her Happy. Man this is awful. Closing my eyes cuz this is draining." Chyna then commented on the snap, writing, "Rob stop it man ! I sent u this pic !!!!!!" Kardashian replied, "@blaccyna and u texting me on my comment section on here proving my point even more. U blocked me and it's f--ked up and I'm heart broken. I loved every inch of you." As previously reported, Kardashian announced in a series of Snapchats on Saturday, December 17, that his fiancee had left him and taken Dream. He showed off an empty nursery and an empty room that belonged to Chyna's 4-year-old son, King, whom she shares with ex Tyga. "I've got the Christmas tree set up for Chyna and the baby, but they left me. So I get home and Chyna took the baby, took the whole nursery we built," the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said. "And Chyna took everything that we built for the nursery for the baby, Dream, and she left, and she just left me alone and took the baby." Following his shocking Snapchat posts, Kardashian posted a message on Instagram. "Sorry to be so open but I'm not feeling so good after seeing @blacchyna messages about me and what her plans were," he wrote. He was referring to a hack on the Lashed Bar salon owner's Instagram page that posted several of her alleged direct messages. In screenshots of the alleged conversations, she referred to Kardashian as "fat" and "lazy" and claimed that she would give him a year before calling it quits with him. "I have never been so heartbroken in my life," Kardashian continued on Instagram. "I don't mind being so open or if anyone thinks I'm being weak but I don't play when it comes to Family and Chyna was my Family and thought we were getting married. I treated her as a Queen." However, Chyna later took to Instagram to share her own side of the story, and claimed that Kardashian knows where she and the baby are, but has yet to visit. "I'M DONE ! This entire year I have done nothing but help Rob!" she wrote. "It's so SAD & PATHETIC how low he'd stoop to cover up HIS PERSONAL ISSUES! Rob is mentally ill & refuses to seek help! He self-medicates which makes it worse. I have done nothing but help & loved him from the beginning!" "He refuses to do anything! Eat healthy, work out, work anything positive, he does nothing!" she continued. "Everyone has tried to help Rob. I've gone beyond to help & so has his family! He's been diagnosed and clinically depressed for 4yrs. I'm done with the situation until he gets help. I no longer have time to feed into Robert's shenanigans I have 2 children & myself to fend for." Britney Spears has herself a guy who's not just really easy on the eyes ... he's a gentleman too. Britney and Sam Asghari did dinner together at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ in L.A. on Saturday, and her laugh and smile say it all -- she's having a good time with this one. Brit's "Slumber Party" music vid co-star posted a pic of the couple doing sushi last month, but when he quickly deleted the post ... we wondered if it was anything serious. Our Spears sources confirm what these photos show -- it is. Serious, that is. Not a ton of guys out there who look like Sam, and also open car doors for a lady. #GetitBrit (TMZ)
Colton Haynes Gets Candid About His Mental Health Issues. Colton Haynes isn't the man he used to be. Sharing two journal entries with the latest issue of Paper magazine, the Arrow actor showed readers how his decisions to seek professional help -- and to come out publicly -- have improved his quality of life. In the first entry, dated Nov. 2, 2014, he said, "Something's been off recently." "I honestly wake up after five hours of sleep wide-awake. It's probably form the bottle of wine I drank before I finally fell asleep/passed out or the amount of pills I'd had," Haynes said. "I read up on why I'm experiencing numbness and lack of circulation in my hands and feet and it's due to the stimulants I've been taking for quite some time now. It causes the blood flow to move toward the heart therefore removing it from the lesser needed places like my hands and feet." "What I don't realize is that I will stay in the same place sitting down for five hours and have no idea 'cause I'm so focused, but with nothing t to do, nothing to create, I'm a vampire. A shell. Wishing I was the old Colton," the former Teen Wolf star wrote. "The person who used to love going out and talking to my family/friends. Now I'm so closed off to the world that I can't even get up enough courage to go in public. I'm afraid of people and have become agoraphobic." According to Haynes, he would only leave the house for work, liquor, coffee or the "occasional sandwich." His health declined physical ways, too. "I used to look forward to working out and working on my physical appearance to build up the idea of what people think I am," he wrote. "I am not my cover. I am so full of emotion and love and I wish I was able to express that again." Haynes knew he needed help, but he didn't know how to ask for it. "There are so many things I want to do in this life but I don't know how to start," he said. "I don't know who I am anymore." Oftentimes, Haynes said he would find himself "looking at old photos or wishing I lived in past experiences." Not once did it make him feel any better. "Why can't I just be happy in the now?" "I'm always searching for the next thrill, the next break, the next job. My life is a drug. I'm always chasing the next high," the 28-year-old TV star continued. "To the public eye, my possibilities are endless, but in my mind, I'm fading away and battling to hide the pain and emotion that has plagued me my entire life. I've cheated, lied and finally owned up to it...I am lonely. This is my fault, though. I don't want to let anyone in. People don't understand the things you give up when you step into the limelight. No one really wants to get to know you." Of course, a lot can change in two years. In the second entry, dated Nov. 12, 2016, Haynes laughed about how his close friends will often tease him for being so fond of the past. "I always look at old photos hoping to relive the memory. But what I'm finally realizing is that I can't and wouldn't want to go back to that headspace ever again. So clouded and unsure about myself, my life, my privacy, my mental health. I'm finally in a position where I can say I'm the happiest I've ever been," he wrote. "I've accomplished so much with so little and my smile is finally not forced. I've taken control of my own life for the first time and won't let anyone silence me or my passions ever again." "I'm finally free. I'm successful. I'm independent...But most of all," he wrote, "I'm outspoken." The actor shared the article with his 5.5 million Instagram followers late Sunday. Haynes' full journal entries appear in Paper's latest issue. (Eonline)
Brooke Mueller Enters Rehab a Month After Being Hospitalized. Brooke Mueller is back in rehab. A source confirms to E! News Charlie Sheen's ex entered a treatment facility following her hospitalization in November, while her mother, Moira Fiore, is taking care of the former couple's twin sons, Max and Bob, 7. Entertainment Tonight was the first to break the news as Mueller's sister, Sydney Wolofsky, told the publication the actress was the one who made the decision to go back for treatment and is "doing a lot better." The news of her rehab comes one month after Mueller was given an evaluation when she went missing with a nanny and her two sons. On November 16, the Utah Department of Public Safety received a welfare check call from a woman claiming to be Mueller's mother. Dispatchers responded to the call and located Mueller, her two children and the nanny on Interstate 15 near Nephi, Utah. While Mueller was taken to a hospital for an evaluation, the boys were put in the care of family. Now, Mueller's mother is living at the family's house and taking care of the twins "so their daily routine stays the same" while the actress seeks the treatment she needs, Wolofsky told ET. The sister says they're doing well and will visit their mother on Christmas. "I know that we're going to see her on Christmas. We're going to go over [to the rehab center] to visit and just spend time with her. My brother, his wife and two kids, my parents and I are going to go to Utah to spend Christmas with her," Wolofsky said. "Brooke would not let us show up without the boys." As for how long Mueller plans to stay in the rehabilitation facility, Wolofsky said she has no plans of leaving until she is 100-percent ready. She explained, "I know that she doesn't want to leave until she is [there for] a certain amount of time -- totally sober with no temptations of any kind, which is really smart on her part." (Eonline)
Tarek and Christina El Moussa will have to divide the spoils of their marriage by land and by sea, because there's a badass boat on the line. The "Flip or Flop" stars own a 2015 Sea Ray Sundancer 510 yacht. The 50 foot, 33 ton beauty sleeps 6-8 and is docked in Newport Beach, CA. We're told the yacht's worth well over a mil, which constitutes a huge piece of the pie in their almost certain divorce. Selling it will be the second happiest day of their lives. (TMZ)
'Star Trek' actress Alice Eve is now getting the wrath of a furious neighbor who claims she illegally built a fence on city property. The Hollywood Hills dispute is all over a 6 foot fence installed back in April at the edge of her property. Neighbors were outraged because the fence is blocking off a wildlife corridor, which is NOT part of Alice's property. One angry neighbor filed a complaint with the city. City officials tell us the beef is legit ... the fence is on government property. The city tells us Alice was put on notice in July for the violation, and there was a hearing on the matter in September. We're told Alice was not there. We reached out to her camp, but no word back yet. As of Friday, the fence is still standing. The neighbor who dimed her out to the city is pissed and wants it torn down ASAP. He's clearly not a fan of her work in "She's Out of My League." He might be alone on that one. (TMZ)
Alan Thicke's TV family joined his real-life family to honor him Sunday night -- and it looked like a full reunion of "Growing Pains." His sons Robin, Brennan, and Carter Thicke were also there with their families. Alan died last week from a massive heart attack while playing hockey with Carter. (TMZ)
Zsa Zsa Gabor Dies at 99. After nearly 100 years, Hollywood has lost a legendary lady. Zsa Zsa Gabor has died at 99-years-old, her rep confirmed to Variety and other outlets. TMZ reports the star suffered a heart attack Sunday afternoon, and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Over the past few years, Gabor has been in and out of the hospital for health-related issues. While the stunning screen siren and socialites's rise to fame was slow in her earliest years, by the 1950s and 60s, the actress had starred in dozens of films and television series and solidified her footing as a Hollywood actress, although she was mostly featured in supporting roles. In addition to her steady screen career and spellbinding beauty, Gabor's personal life was equally intriguing -- and an early example of celebrities driving their stardom by simply being their larger-than-life selves. Born to Hungarian parents Vilmos Gábor and socialite Jolie Gabo, Zsa was named Sári Gábor upon her birth, eventually joining older sister Magda and younger sister Eva. Her romantic life was peppered by alleged affairs with iconic men, including Frank Sinatra and John F. Kennedy. Most notably, Zsa Zsa would go on to marry nine times throughout her life, though her marriage to the eighth man Felipe de Alba was annulled within the same year in 1983. "A man in love is incomplete until he is married," she famously said. "Then he is finished." The lineup also included a five year marriage to Conrad Hilton with whom she had her first and only child, Francesca Hilton. Her daughter tragically suffered a stroke in January 2015 and passed away at 67. Zsa Zsa experienced her own share of debilitating health concerns, beginning in 2002 when she was hospitalized in a coma after suffering a car crash in Los Angeles. Though she survived, she was left reliant on a wheel chair. Three years later, she had a stroke. Then in July 2010, she broke a hip and had it replaced, though complications from a blood transfusion brought her back to the hospital. In 2011, she devastatingly had to have her left leg amputated after a blood clot transformed into an infection. She is survived by her most recent husband, Frederick Prinz von Anhalt, with whom she shared her longest marriage to date. May one of Hollywood's most glamorous women rest in peace. (Eonline)

Kate Middleton Steps Out for Charity Christmas Party While Prince George Has His Eye on the Presents at Home. The Duchess of Cambridge is wearing holiday cheer from head to toe. Ahead of Christmas, Kate Middleton stepped out in her holiday best on Monday to attend a party hosted by The Mix and Heads Together, the campaign she, Prince William and Prince Harry spearheaded to combat mental health stigmas. Of course, the royal mother of two was not going to arrive without picture-perfect threads. The 34-year-old sported a red and green floral print frock designed by Vanessa Seward and accessorized with a pair of hoop earrings, a black belt, a simple black clutch and pumps. The look was just what Santa ordered. At their last royal event for 2016, the trio mingled with volunteers, counselors and supporters involved with Heads Together at a youth club in London. While Prince William was not without his wife of five years, Prince Harry went solo for the event after escorting his girlfriend, American television star Meghan Markle, to London's Heathrow Airport on Sunday. The three kept busy doing arts and crafts with fellow guests while Prince William chatted about a certain tot getting into the Christmas spirit back at home. "He just said [Prince] George definitely knows it's Christmas this year because the presents are about and he's more into opening them than anything else," DJ AJ King told reporters of his conversation with Prince William. "I said Christmas would be a bit different for his children this year and he said they would be having a family Christmas together." "He was saying the family is so important, it's really important to preserve these family values," another attendee added. (Eonline)
Prince Harry Drops Meghan Markle Off at the Airport Before Christmas. Parting is such sweet sorrow. Prince Harry personally escorted his girlfriend Meghan Markle to London's Heathrow Airport Sunday. As five police protection officers flanked Harry, airline staff guided Meghan to her gate. The 35-year-old Suits actress, who kept warm in a 360 Cashmere sweater, is believed to be spending Christmas in the United States, while her boyfriend will stay with his family in the U.K. Harry and Meghan have been quietly dating for several months. Just last week, the couple was photographed for the first time together in public when they saw The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at The Gielgud Theatre. A spokesperson for the play later told E! News, "We're really delighted he came. It was a private visit. We're just really happy he came along." If Harry wants to spend Christmas with Meghan, he'll have to put a ring on it. "Traditionally, only if you're married would you go to Sandringham," a source says of the family estate in Norfolk where the family has a formal lunch and listens to Queen Elizabeth II's annual speech. "Every year the Royal Family goes to church on Christmas morning and to Sandringham," the source says. "Everyone goes: Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Phillip, Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, Prince Andrew, Prince Charles, the Queen." And, of course, Kate Middleton. "When William married Kate, they decided they would take turns going to Sandringham and going to Kate's home in Bucklebury. Once they had kids [Prince George and Princess Charlotte], it was especially important so the children can spend Christmas with their other grandparents." And because Meghan is not part of the royal family, the source tells E! News it would be "very much frowned upon" if she were to attend any official outings or events with Harry, let alone "be seen near Sandringham" around Christmastime. "It would look like breaking of a tradition." Perhaps things will be different for the couple in 2017. "Meghan and Harry are getting serious," another insider tells E! News, adding, "Harry really wants a family like his brother William has." (Eonline)
Inside Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy's Baby Shower Attended By Amber Rose and Val Chmerkovskiy. Countdown to baby is officially on! Dancing With the Stars professionals Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy brought their closest family and friends together Sunday afternoon to celebrate the upcoming arrival of their first child together. The lovebirds flew to Maks' hometown in New Jersey for the baby shower, which proved to be a quite a special moment honoring their newborn son. The mama-to-be, who's in her final two weeks of pregnancy, glowed in a white, floor-length dress that accentuated her baby bump. Peta pulled her blond locks into a glam updo, complimented by a pair of gold statement earrings. As for Maks, he kept it suave in a polka dot dress shirt and black suit jacket. As for the party itself, the venue was decorated in shades of baby blue and gold, and guests were treated to a yummy spread of various desserts before stopping by the photo booth to pose for a snapshot with the happy couple. When it came to the guest list, Maks and Peta kept it pretty exclusive, though it appears the man of the hour's brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, brought along DWTS alum and rumored beau Amber Rose as his date. She shared her own super sweet selfie alongside Maks captioned, "My brother for life." Ever since the engaged lovebirds took their baby news public over the summer, Peta hasn't shied away from giving her thousands of social media followers a glimpse into what it's like to lead one of the most flawless pregnancy journeys around. The New Zealand native had no trouble striking a balance between indulging in ice cream for breakfast all while maintaining a rigorous fitness regimen, and she also managed to sneak in a few impromptu, bikini-clad photo shoots. She couldn't help but shout out Maks along the way, often dedicating more than a few heartfelt Instagram uploads to her fiance. We can't wait to meet your little boy! (Eonline)
Candice Swanepoel is joining the ranks of celebrity moms who have spoken out about the stigma around breastfeeding in public. The Victoria's Secret Angel shared her experiences with breastfeeding in public in a Sunday Instagram post, highlighting the fact that she has gone topless (and even nude) in her work without being made to feel awkward. "I have been made to feel the need to cover up and somewhat shy to feed my baby in public places but strangely feel nothing for the topless editorials I've done in the name of art..?" Swanepoel, 28, wrote in the post, noting that women are "even kicked out of public places for feeding their children." The Instagram photo showed Swanepoel breastfeeding her son Anacã, whom she welcomed with fiance Hermann Nicoli in October. "The world has been desensitized to the sexualization of the breast and to violence on tv... why should it be different when it comes to breastfeeding?" the supermodel continued. "Breastfeeding is not sexual it's natural." She added: "Those who feel it is wrong to feed your child in public need to get educated on the benefits breastfeeding has on mother and child and intern (sic) on society as a whole." Swanepoel isn't the only star to speak out about her experiences with breastfeeding. In July, Mila Kunis -- who recently welcomed her second child with husband Ashton Kutcher -- told Vanity Fair that she had endured judgmental stares while breastfeeding her now-2-year-old daughter Wyatt Isabelle in public. "There were many times where I didn't bring a cover with me, and so I just did it in a restaurant, in the subway, in the park, at airports and in planes. Why did I do it in public? Because I had to feed my child. She's hungry," she said, adding that she and Kutcher usually did not understand the reason for the dirty looks. "It took us a little back because people actually looked at us in a shameful [way], and we were like, 'Oh my God,' because it's so not a sexual act." (People)
Cameron Douglas missed his family's centennial birthday bash for his legendary movie star grandfather Kirk Douglas this month because he was not allowed to travel out of New York while on parole, Page Six has learned. But Cameron -- the son of star Michael Douglas who was released from prison in June after serving nearly seven years -- was able to celebrate his own 38th birthday in New York with family this month, and we hear he's halfway through writing his planned tell-all book, working on it every day at his dad's office. Sources told Page Six that Cameron's family members wrote an "impassioned plea" to his parole officer asking for permission for him to travel to LA for Kirk's historic 100th birthday. "They wrote a letter explaining there may not be another birthday," said a source. "But his parole said, 'Only funerals, not birthdays.'?" (A rep for Michael Douglas said the star did not write the letter.) But Cameron did get permission to stay out an hour later than usual so he could have his own birthday dinner with family at EN Japanese Brasserie this month. "They were able to eat at a decent hour," said a spy, "but Cameron had to run out when they were paying the check" so he could make a 9 p.m. curfew. Despite missing his grandfather's big day, things have been looking up for Cameron, who was convicted on drug charges. "He is working on his book every day at his dad's office," said our source. "He is 50 percent done." The source said the book will reveal anecdotes about growing up in Hollywood, his battles with drugs and being in solitary confinement in jail. We hear he's also moved out of his mother Diandra Douglas' home and into his own place in Tribeca with his Brazilian yoga-instructor girlfriend Viviane Thibes. Cameron was sentenced to five years for possessing heroin and selling drugs in 2010, but his term was extended after he confessed to smuggling drugs into prison. He was placed in solitary confinement from 2012 to 2014. Reps did not comment. (Page Six)
The holiday spirit was in full swing at the Morrison Hotel Gallery's party for photographer (and gallery co-owner) Timothy White at the Sunset Marquis in LA, where Julian Lennon got a surprise serenade from guests. We're told that when Lennon, son of John Lennon and first wife Cynthia, walked into 1200 Bar, the piano player was playing "Hey Jude," the song Paul McCartney wrote for him when his parents split. "The whole restaurant joined in and was singing to Julian," says a guest. "He was just standing there with this look on his face. It was such a beautiful moment." McCartney originally had the lyrics as "Hey Jules." Billy Bob Thornton, Kathy Bates and Dwight Yoakam attended the bash. (Page Six)
Dennis Rodman's former business manager, Peggy Ann "King" Fulford, who goes by a number of aliases, was arrested in New Orleans Friday on charges of fraud and is accused of stealing millions from several athletes. Retired Miami Dolphin Ricky Williams accused her of stealing $6 million in 2013, and Rodman's attorney says she took a significant amount from the former NBA star known as "the Worm," who fired her in 2015. "Dennis was a victim," his attorney Bradford Cohen tells us, alleging that, "During a hearing on child support we started to go over a lot of his bills and expenses to try and reduce the payment because he wasn't making as much as he used to be. We started to see weird charges, withdrawals he didn't authorize, weird things going on with his accounts .?.?. We discovered Peggy was writing checks off his account for exotic cars, homes, jewelry. We reached out to the FBI and followed through with the investigation along the way." Fulford, who will be prosecuted in Houston, faces up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted. (Page Six)
Jude Law, who plays the pope in his latest project, kept things chaste on a date with Phillipa Coan at Sons of Essex Saturday. "They were sitting super intimately and left once it started getting busy," says a spy. "They were close, but no kissing." The pair's been dating for more than a year. "The Young Pope" will premiere on HBO Jan 15. Law has said, "It takes a lot of effort. Well no, nothing about our relationship is an effort, but it takes a lot of effort to keep it that way. Neither she nor I have any desire to make it public property." (Page Six)
Sylvester Stallone says that although he's "flattered" by reports that President-elect Donald Trump was eyeing him as the National Endowment for the Arts chairman, he would not be taking the job. In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, the Rocky star suggested he would better serve the administration by working for veterans. "I am incredibly flattered to have been suggested to be involved with the National Endowment of the Arts," the 70-year-old actor said in a statement. "However I believe I could be more effective by bringing national attention to returning military personnel in an effort to find gainful employment, suitable housing and financial assistance these heroes respectfully deserve." On Thursday, reports claimed that Trump, 70, had approached Stallone about the top arts position in his administration. The NEA is responsible for distributing government grants to arts organizations. Stallone has donated money to various charities that support veterans and wounded servicemen over the years. In 2015, the actor sold over 1,400 movie props and other memorabilia to raise $3 million to assist military veterans and wounded service members as well as The Motion Picture and TV Country House and Hospital. Stallone, who says he is not a Republican despite supporting GOP candidates such as John McCain in the past, said in an interview with Variety earlier this year that he wasn't sure if Trump's bold character meant he was equipped to handle the office of commander-in-chief. "I love Donald Trump. He's a great Dickensian character. You know what I mean?" Stallone said. "There are certain people like Arnold [Schwarzenegger], Babe Ruth that are bigger than life. But I don't know how that translates to running the world." (People)
Donald Trump's inauguration is going to be "strictly traditional" and the President-elect has no interest in courting big Hollywood stars or entertainers to hobnob or perform at the events ... TMZ has learned. Sources involved in inaugural prep tell TMZ ... Trump is hardly engaged in the party planning at all. We're told he does feel, however, the parties should not be "over the top," but he's leaving all the details to others. One Trump insider says the Prez-elect is "obsessed" with energizing American business and industry ... the parties just aren't his thing. We're told he doesn't think it's important to have big names perform and has actually pointed to all the big names supporting Hillary Clinton that ultimately did no good for her. As one source put it, "It's almost as January 20 doesn't really matter to him, he's looking forward to January 21 -- his first real work day in the White House." (TMZ)

Camila Cabello Leaves Fifth Harmony: Read the Girl Group's Official Statement. Fifth Harmony might reconsider changing their name to Fourth Harmony. The pop girl group took to Instagram late Sunday evening to announce that Camila Cabellohas left the chart-topping group. "After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony," the statement read. "We wish her well." It continued, "You Harmonizers have been there with us since the beginning, you've supported us, and with your love and support, we will continue on. That being said, we are excited to announce that we will be moving forward with the four of us- Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui for our fans. We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors." "We are excited for our future, and we can't wait for what the new year brings. Harmonizers, we are in this together. We love you with all of our heart," their lengthy message concluded. Within minutes, fans flocked to the comments section noticeably distraught about Camila's surprise exit. But as longtime Fifth Harmony listeners know, it's been quite a turbulent year for the singers. In a May 2016 interview with Billboard, the 19-year-old pop star explained that she's certainly faced her fair share of fame-related struggles. "I was having terrible anxiety, nonstop...," Camila explained. "I was scared of what would happen to me, of the things my brain might tell me. I realized the stuff I thought was important isn't worth my health. Now I write in a diary every day, work out and meditate." Then in early September, Cabello left in the middle of a concert after suffering from "too much anxiety." She later apologized, and rejoined Fifth Harmony at their next performance one day later. Discord between the young ladies seemingly came to a head earlier this year when Lauren asked to switch spots with Dinah Jane during a red carpet event, an incident that pushed her to speak out on the matter after facing criticism from internet trolls. Likewise, Normani and Camila also had to clear the air on an alleged feud going on between them after Kordei seemed to shade her fellow group member in a Facebook Live chat. Only days later, Kordei deleted her Twitter account amid racist cyberbullying. And just last week, Jauregui issued an apology for missing their Brazil tour pitstop. Jauregui's absence came shortly after she was stopped by TSA at Washington Dulles International Airport after a staffer discovered marijuana in her carry-on luggage. An attorney for the girl band and Jauregui told E! News that she was not arrested. Fifth Harmony formed during the second season of The X Factor. Since then, the group has commanded the charts with singles like "Work From Home" and "Bo$$," having won three MTV Video Music Awards and one American Music Award. They most recently performed Sunday evening at Y100's Jingle Ball in Miami. Cabello did perform onstage with her former bandmates as well as alongside Justin Bieber during a separate duet. (Eonline)
All the Signs Camila Cabello Was Leaving Fifth Harmony. Should Camila Cabello's departure from Fifth Harmony be seen as a total shock? Maybe not. The band announced Sunday that Camila would be leaving the band, but the remaining four, Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui, would be continuing on the tour. Although the news came as a major shock to the Harmonizers, in hindsight, maybe the fans could have and should have seen it coming. The signs pointing to Camila's departure were all there, but that's only clear because of hindsight. It all began when Camila dropped "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Shawn Mendes, which became an instant hit. It also can be seen as the pop star laying the groundwork for her solo career. Despite the fact that it was seen as an awesome duet between two of pop's hottest stars, it's clear now that Camila was starting to slowly branch out on her own. She then released "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly, and not only did they record the song together, Camila also toured Jingle Ball concerts with the rapper to promote it. Music aside, there were other signs that pointed to Camila's departure. Earlier this year Camila left one of Fifth Harmony's concerts in the middle after breaking down on stage. She told fans she had suffered from an anxiety attack and later apologized. "Hi Missouri, sorry I couldn't finish the set last night," she wrote on Twitter. "Was having too much anxiety and couldn't finish it." She added, "I love u. I'm truly sorry." In a very candid group interview with Billboard, the women of Fifth Harmony opened up about the pros and cons of going on world tours; however, it was clear that these members felt the cons list was longer than the pros. "I was having terrible anxiety, nonstop. My heart would beat really fast the whole day," Camila told Billboard. "Two hours after I woke up, I'd need a nap because my body was so hyperactive. It was so eff -- sorry, but it was so f--ked up. "I was scared of what would happen to me, of the things my brain might tell me. I realized the stuff I thought was important isn't worth my health. Now I write in a diary every day, work out and meditate." Lauren blamed "the industry," for their stresses. "They sell you this present of rainbows and butterflies, and as a 16-year-old that's what I bought. It's why I did X Factor and why I ended up in a group. But then you're working so hard, so young," Lauren spilled. "[Meanwhile] my friends are in college, telling me about their days and what they're studying. You're having to put on a smile on a red carpet. It's like, 'Who am I? Am I for myself or for this?'" Whether the members of Fifth Harmony are going to visit family or hang out with friends outside of the group, Camila and co. realized they needed other outlets. For Camila, it seems, it was Taylor Swift and her squad. Camila has been spotted hanging out with T.Swift and her group for a long time, and their friendship was made even clearer when Camila posted a birthday shout out to the "Style" singer on Instagram. The final sign, however, might have been Camila's cryptic Instagram just hours before her departure announcement was made. "'I'll only have you if you're sweeter than my solitude,'" she captioned a solo picture of herself. Were you surprised by Camila's departure? (Eonline)
J. Cole Scores His Fourth No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 Chart, With Third-Largest Debut of 2016. J. Cole's 4 Your Eyez Only bounds in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, granting the rapper his fourth chart-topper and notching the third-largest debut of 2016, according to Nielsen Music. The set earned 492,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Dec. 15. Only the bows of Drake's Views (1.04 million units) and Beyonce's Lemonade (653,000) were larger this year. Of J. Cole's overall 492,000 unit start, 363,000 were in traditional album sales -- the third-biggest weekly sales sum for a single album this year. Again, it trails only the arrivals of Views (852,000 sold in its first week) and Lemonade (a 485,000 sales launch). The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new Dec. 31-dated chart (where 4 Your Eyez Only opens at No. 1) will be posted in full to Billboard's Websites on Tuesday, Dec. 20. 4 Your Eyez Only also logs a big streaming week as it tallied 118,000 in SEA units (equaling 51.7 million streams of the album's songs), which is the second-largest streaming debut ever for an album. It trails only the bow of Drake's Views, which launched with 163,000 streaming units in its opening frame (equating to 245.1 million streams of songs from the album that week). 4 Your Eyez Only is just the third album to surpass 100,000 streaming equivalent album units in a single week, following Views and The Weeknd's Starboy (with its opening frame of 117,000 in SEA units). Views actually did it three times: during its debut week, along with its third (124,000) and fourth (111,000) frames. 4 Your Eyez Only is J. Cole's fourth studio album, and all four have debuted at No. 1. He joins Drake and DMX as the only rap acts to debut at No. 1 with their first four full-length studio efforts. Drake did it with his first six, starting with 2010's Thank Me Later (and including his collaborative set with Future, What a Time to Be Alive, in 2015). DMX saw his first five full-length studio sets all enter atop the list, between 1998 and 2003. J. Cole first hit No. 1 with his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, in 2011, when it launched with 217,000 copies sold. He followed it in 2013 with Born Sinner (297,000 sold in its first week) and then the following year with 2014 Forest Hills Drive (354,000 first week sales). Thus, J. Cole has achieved an infrequent feat: each of his successive albums has started with a larger debut sales week than the previous set, as his new album bows with 363,000 sold. Other acts that have shown steady gains with the opening frames of their recent albums include Bruno Mars, Adele (both with their first three studio sets) and Taylor (with her first five studio efforts). At No. 2 on the new Billboard 200 is a surging Pentatonix, with A Pentatonix Christmas. The set earned 156,000 units for the week (up 22 percent). The group's previous holiday album, That's Christmas To Me, returns to the top five, as it climbs 8-5 with 65,000 units (up 24 percent). Pentatonix is the first act to chart a pair of albums concurrently in the top five since Prince on the May 21-dated chart, following an outpouring of support for his music following his death on April 21. Previous to Prince, both David Bowie and Whitney Houston also scored the feat, in 2016 and 2012, respectively -- but again, only after their deaths. The last living act to notch a pair of albums in the top five at the same time was Adele on the March 3, 2012-dated chart. That week's chart reflected impact from the 2012 Grammy Awards, where Adele's 21 took home multiple trophies, including the award for album of the year. The set held at No. 1 on the list, while her previous album, 19, jumped 9-4. Back on the new Billboard 200 chart, The Weeknd's Starboy slips 2-3 with 109,000 units (down 28 percent in its third week) and Bruno Mars' 24K Magic rises 6-4 with 74,000 units (up 27 percent). Singer/songwriter/rapper Post Malone sees his debut studio album, Stoney, bow at No. 6 with 58,000 units (19,000 in album sales). The album had a particularly robust number of streams for the week (51.7 million streams, equating to 34,000 SEA units), as the set garnered the third-most streams for its tracks among any album on the chart for the week (behind 4 Your Eyez Only and Starboy). Stoney features Post Malone's breakthrough smash single "White Iverson," which reached No. 3 on the Hot Rap Songs chart in January. The original Broadway cast recording of Hamilton returns to the top 10, as it climbs 11-7 with 48,000 units (up 7 percent). Its rise comes as its spin-off album, The Hamilton Mixtape, tumbles 1-14 in its second week with 36,000 units (down 81 percent). The Moana movie soundtrack slips one rung to No. 8 with 48,000 units (down 10 percent) and Michael Buble's Christmas jumps 13-9 with a little more than 43,000 units (up 1 percent). The Rolling Stones' Blue & Lonesome rounds out the top 10, as it descends 4-10 in its second week with 43,000 units (down 65 percent). (Billboard)
Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment Signs Development Deal With Star China. Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment has signed a three-year development deal with Canxing Production/Star China, one of China's leading television production companies. The deal, announced by Cowell and Canxing/Star China CEO Jin Lei on Monday, will see the two companies develop large-scale entertainment formats for the mainland Chinese market that also have international export potential. Syco is best-known for its hugely successful competition formats Got Talent and The X Factor, which have both been adapted worldwide. Canxing/Star China produces Sing! China, the No. 1 entertainment show on Chinese TV, which has smashed online viewing records in its first season this year. The company previously produced The Voice of China, a local adaptation of the hit singing format developed by Dutch company Talpa, but Talpa canceled that deal earlier this year and filed legal action against Star China, claiming the company took "unauthorized and unlawful" actions in relation to its format. The Chinese television market is an El Dorado for TV companies like Syco, whose brand of shiny-floor entertainment has lost some of its luster in western territories. As TV audiences in the U.S. and western Europe fragment, China still offers the potential of tens of millions of viewers over free-to-air broadcasters. The Voice of China drew more than 120 million viewers on TV and 400 million-plus online. The first season of Sing! China racked up 500 million total viewers on online platforms Tencent and Youku. But the Chinese government this year introduced stricter regulations on the import of foreign TV formats, banning local satellite broadcasters from airing remakes of popular international reality shows and sharply restricting the number of such remakes allowed in every year. The move has been broadly interpreted as an attempt to strengthen local Chinese companies by forcing them to develop original programming -- either by themselves or in cooperation with international partners. The Syco-Star China deal fits nicely into this new strategy. What remains to be seen is if the entertainment formats Cowell and friends make for the Chinese will also have global appeal. (Billboard)
Aphex Twin Makes Rare U.S. Festival Appearance, Sells Mysterious New Record. Aphex Twin will never be confused with Santa Claus, though like Father Christmas he's wrapped in mystery, rarely seen and he has been handing out gifts in late December. The veteran electronic music producer made a rare live U.S. appearance on the weekend for Houston's Day for Night festival. And to mark the occasion, he released a new record. The 12" recording was sold at the merch desk and appears to be an old-school plain-packaged white label, stamped with logos for Warp Records, Aphex Twin and Day for Night, along with the festival's date and location: "Houston, TX 12.17.16." A snippet of an untitled minimal track said to appear on the record has been posted online. Aphex Twin ended a long, silent sequence with the release of his Syro album in 2014, followed by the Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments pt2 EP in 2015. His Day for Night bonus follows the seven-track Cheetah EP which dropped in July of this year. Richard D. James is booked for a string of 2017 European dates including Barcelona's Primavera Sound and London's Field Day Festival. The leftfield British artist broke an eight-year U.S. drought with his performance Saturday night in Texas. (Billboard)

Scarlett Johansson's Daughter Can See Another One of Her Mom's Movies. Scarlett Johansson isn't exactly sure how her two-year-old daughter Rose will react when she watches Sing this holiday season. The actress co-stars in the animated flick as a punk rock porcupine backup singer who is a finalist in a singing competition put together by a koala bear (Matthew McConaughey) trying to drum up business and save his theater from going under. ScarJo told E!'s Marc Malkin at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Sing in September that she thinks Rose may "freak out" at the sound of her mom as the prickly rodent. "I think it would blow her mind," she said, laughing. "I imagine everything in her mind is a little bit sort of trippy to begin with, so I think just seeing my voice coming out of a porcupine like that, especially a punk rock porcupine, it might be a little overwhelming for her," Johansson told us. "This may be the only movie I've ever made that she can see, though." (The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie is probably also on that list.) Sing is so adorable and features covers of hit pop songs (Taylor Swift , Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, among others). Johansson sings one of the two original songs written for the movie. "I'm really playing a girl who is kind of struggling to find her voice, both literally and figuratively," Johansson said. "You know, she's growing up. She's learning how to be the best version of herself." Sing will be in theaters on Dec. 21. (Eonline)
'Blade Runner 2049' Trailer: Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling Square Off. Robin Wright and Jared Leto star in the film. The trailer for Blade Runner 2049 is taking Harrison Ford back to his other iconic sci-fi property. The film is set several decades after the original, with Ford once again playing Rick Deckard. In the trailer, he meets the character played by Ryan Gosling, who now has the job of hunting Replicants -- bioengineered beings, some of whom are virtually indistinguishable from humans. "I had your job once. I was good at it," Deckard says as he points a gun at Gosling's character, who replies, "Things were simpler then." The film also stars Jared Leto, Robin Wright and Ana de Armas. Denis Villeneuve is directing the Alcon Entertainment project. Blade Runner 2049 will be released Oct. 6, 2017. (Hollywood Reporter)
'Rogue One': Peter Cushing's Views on Life, Death and the Beyond Are Worth Revisiting. The actor had profound views on what comes after death that were shaped by the passing of his beloved wife Helen. [Warning: This story contains spoilers for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.] More than 20 years after his death, Peter Cushing has returned to the big screen with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The revival of his villainous Grand Moff Tarkin from 1977's Star Wars has largely been greeted with acclaim and helped the film rocket. Cushing's return was accomplished thanks to visual effects, and raises questions about the future of cinema and whether death will continue to be the end of a performer's career. There's something that feels particularly poetic about Cushing's onscreen revival. The actor had profound thoughts on death and the afterlife, with his views shaped both by his childhood (his mother would pretend to be dead as a strange way of punishing her young son) and the untimely passing of his beloved wife, Helen, in 1971. Cushing was fascinated with nature and the changing of seasons, which give us examples of birth, death and rebirth. "Everything dies. But what happens again next spring? It all comes to life again," Cushing said in a 1990 interview on The Human Factor, conducted four years before his death. During the candid conversation, he spoke about the sorrow he suffered after his wife's death ("I didn't lose her... she's just elsewhere," he said.) and he suggested he considered suicide for a time. "I was contemplating everything. I knew I'd never have the courage to do it, but you can't have the experience and the love of a person such as Helen and then suddenly it's not there anymore," Cushing said. "It's more than three quarters of your own self taken from you. So you either buckle under and say, 'that's it,' and give up, or you have to go on and run the race before you, which is set before you. After Helen's death, he threw himself into his work -- accepting every job he could to keep busy and fill that void. 1977's Star Wars was among those jobs, just one of dozens of enduring performances from the man who is also remembered for his pioneering work in horror films and many onscreen appearances with close friend Christopher Lee. Part of what inspired him to live a full life in the 20-plus years he had after Helen's death was a letter she wrote to him before she died. In the interview, he recites it from memory: "Do not pine for me, my beloved Peter, because that will cause unrest. Do not be hasty to leave this world, because you will not go until you have lived the life you have been given. And remember, we will meet again when the time is right. That is my promise." In an extraordinary coincidence, Cushing recalled walking on a beach shortly after Helen's death. It was during a storm, and the wind blew a piece of paper to him. Without looking at it, he put it in his pocket. "I went in doors and I started rushing up and down the stairs... in a vain attempt to induce a heart attack so I could join Helen there and then. It didn't work, of course." Soon after, he felt in his pockets for a pack of cigarettes and found the paper from the beach. It was a page of the Telegraph newspaper, which featured a Bible verse: "And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you." At one point, Cushing asked a clergyman what his wife's final words to him ("God bless you. You will save me.") may have meant, but found it an unhelpful experience. "That's what I find, sad enough," said Cushing. "When you really need help from the church in my experience -- I went to several. I never got it. They seem to fear talking about the afterlife and what they believe in." Cushing was diagnosed with prostate cancer in the early 1980s, and faced the idea of death without fear. "I accepted it completely, because I accept this might have been the end of the line. It didn't worry me at all, because I thought, 'This is lovely. It's been a long time' [since Helen died]," he said. "I shall be with Helen at last. Her promise will have come true, but it always worries me for those left behind. They are the people who really suffer." One of those people Cushing left behind was his longtime secretary, Joyce Broughton, who is now involved with his estate and still refers to him as "sir" out of devotion to him. She and her then-husband, Bernard, were key in helping Cushing overcome the grief of losing his wife. Reached by phone in England, she declined to say much, citing an NDA with Disney surrounding the release of Rogue One, but she did say affectionately, "I have 35 years' worth of stories with him" and that she cheered for Guy Henry, the actor who helped bring Grand Moff Tarkin back to life. After his cancer diagnosis, Cushing would live on for more than a decade, dying in 1994 at 81. He earned his last onscreen credit in 1986's time-travel adventure movie Biggles: Adventures in Time. The director of that film, John Hough, tells Heat Vision that Cushing was a rare breed, an actor who could capture viewers' attention no matter who was sharing the scene with him. He says Cushing was so attentive to detail that he'd wear white gloves to keep his hands clean for close-ups. "He was always word-perfect, and my direction was always only what movement he should take," says Hough. "I would have a dream that I would direct him alongside Marlon Brando, Bette Davis, Tom Cruise. Paul Newman. He would have held his own. He was very generous toward his fellow actors. He was quiet in rehearsal and then would unload for the scene when it mattered. I have nothing but admiration for him and I wish I could do it all again." As for Heaven, Cushing had a few ideas of what it would be like, for him at least. "Yes. Helen will be there. That's enough for me," Cushing said in the 1990 interview. "I reckon it's the places you love yourself. That will be yours. Don't forget, [John 14:2] 'In my father's house are many mansions.' I think mine mansion will be a bit of English countryside. If I should die, think only this of me, that there is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England." (Hollywood Reporter)

Most Painfully Awkward Interview of 2016: 7 Minutes With Jerry Lewis. The Hollywood Reporter set out to interview 10 nonagenarians in the business -- people in their 90s and beyond still vital and working -- and nine of the interviews went great. One was a trainwreck. I had a bad feeling the about how the conversation with Jerry Lewis was going to go the second I walked into his Vegas house -- the interview was scheduled for a few off days in his touring schedule -- and saw him watching TV with his headphones on. He looked angry. I already knew Lewis' reputation for being difficult and acerbic with his audiences and in interviews. And he's a well-known control freak. Throughout the photo shoot, Lewis complained about the amount of equipment in the house, the number of assistants and how the shots were set up. By the time we sat down for the interview about an hour later, Lewis had worked up a full of head of steam, and it seemed like he was punishing THR by doing the interview but being as uncooperative as possible. As awkward and funny -- and it's pretty funny -- as the interview is, it weirdly proves the point of the entire package: 90-year-old Jerry Lewis is vital and completely engaged. He's just engaged -- almost happy -- in being difficult. (Hollywood Reporter)
European Cable Subscriptions Slip, Revenue Grows as Analyst Touts Netflix Integration Deals. A new report discusses cord cutting and consolidation in the European cable scene, similar to big industry acquisitions in the U.S. Cord cutting, the bane of the U.S. cable industry, has yet to wreak havoc in Europe. That's the broad conclusion of a new report unveiled Monday, which finds that while cable subscriptions have slipped across Europe, revenue for cable companies continue to grow. It also highlighted consolidation and integration deals with Netflix, similar to the trends seen in the U.S. The annual European Broadband Cable Yearbook, the definitive guide to Europe's cable business, was released by European cable trade association Cable Europe and research firm IHS Markit. It found that despite increased competition from such streaming companies as Netflix and Amazon Prime, cable industry revenue for 2015, the last full year for which figures are available, were up 5.7 percent to $23.4 billion (€22.4 billion) from €21.2 billion a year earlier. This came even as cable companies lost subscribers, with Cable Europe counting 55.1 million cable TV subscriptions across the continent by the end of 2015, down 1 percent from 55.7 million a year earlier. Cord cutters, subscribers who cancel their cable subscriptions in favor of online offerings from Netflix and company, have done damage to cable companies and channels in the U.S. Since Walt Disney has seen subscriber losses at sports juggernaut ESPN, its stock and other cable TV networks giants have been under pressure. Monday's Cable Europe report provides some reason for optimism on the other side of the Atlantic. For one, European cable companies are trading up: rolling out premium services, such as ultra-high-speed internet and HD TV, as a way of getting subscribers to pay more. The report points to Virgin Media $3.7 billion (£3 billion) investment in Project Lightning, a massive expansion in the U.K. company's broadband infrastructure that should see Virgin extend its reach from 13 million homes to 17 million by 2019. Cable operators across Europe, similar to their U.S. peers, are upgrading their networks to be able to offer internet download speeds of up to 1Gbps, improving the rollout of data hungry services, such as Ultra HD television and mobile streaming of video. "In response to challenges posed by other platforms, 2015 saw a determined effort by many operators to invest in infrastructure and significantly improve their offerings," said Maria Rua Aguete, research director at IHS Technology and the author of the report. As a result, while cable subscriptions slipped last year, revenue from internet and digital services more than made up the difference. By the end of 2015, close to two-thirds of cable homes in Europe opted for digital TV. And internet revenue jumped 9.7 percent to $7.5 billion (€7.2 billion). Aguete points to the recent deal between cable giant Liberty Global and Netflix, which will see Liberty make Netflix content available to its cable subscribers across Europe and in more than 30 countries worldwide after a similar deal in the U.K. on Virgin Media. The agreement, she argues, shows that cable and SVOD platforms, such as Netflix, can work together instead of competing. "Our research concluded that the integration of Netflix into pay TV is having a positive impact on cable operators' key performance indicators, generally benefiting their business while co-existing well with more traditional parts of the bundle," Aguete said. But increasing competition in the European cable business is squeezing margins, resulting in consolidation across the industry, with major mergers in Germany, France, Spain and the U.K. That mirrors dealmaking in the U.S. in recent years, such as Time Warner Cable's acquisition by Charter Communications. "Further consolidation in the sector can be expected, with cable remaining fragmented compared to the platforms it competes with," Aguete said. (Hollywood Reporter)
TV Ratings: 'Sunday Night Football' Scores Again With Dallas Cowboys. The franchise's second showing in as many weeks is near a season-best for NBC. It turns out the real cure for this season's NFL ratings dips was the Cowboys. Dallas made its second showing in as many weeks on Sunday Night Football, and ratings were again sky-high. NBC coverage of the Cowboys' 26-20 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sustained 93 percent of the previous week's season high when Dallas lost to the New York Giants. Nielsen has the game averaging a 15.3 overnight rating among metered market households. That stands, behind last week, as the best Sunday Night Football showing since last season. Whereas the first half of the season was plagued with year-over-year dips, this is the second week in a row that ratings skyrocketed over those of 2015. The Dec. 18 showdown was up 31 percent from the comparable 2015 game, making it the highest-rated Week 15 Sunday Night Football since 2008. With the exception of last week's stinker Thursday Night Football matchup, primetime games for the NFL season have certainly perked up since the election. Elsewhere on the Sunday landscape, CBS' 60 Minutes debuted its sit-down between Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama. With a football lead-in, the series surged to a 2.8 rating among adults 18-49 and nearly 15 million viewers. New episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles (1.4 adults) and Madam Secretary (1.1 adults) followed. And, as Fox aired comedy repeats, ABC offered up its annual telecast of The Sound of Music. It averaged a 1.1 demo rating and 5.3 million viewers this year. (Hollywood Reporter)
(TMZ)
Alan Thicke's TV family joined his real-life family to honor him Sunday night -- and it looked like a full reunion of "Growing Pains." Kirk Cameron, Joanna Kerns, Tracey Gold, Jeremy Miller ... even Leo DiCaprio ... all showed up for the memorial service. Many of Alan's Hollywood pals who were not co-stars, like Bob Saget and Alex Trebek, also attended. Alex spoke about how Alan gave him his first shot in Hollywood on a game show. His sons Robin, Brennan, and Carter Thicke were also there with their families.
