Gadsden Federal Building and Courthouse is located at 600 Broad Street, Gadsden, AL 35901. The Property contains approximately 0.5 acre and is improved with an 34,918 GSF historic building with 14 surface parking spaces.
The Gadsden Federal Building and Courthouse was constructed as a Post Office and was completed in 1910. Originally one story, the building was expanded to three floors in 1913, for a total of four floors including the basement. An addition at the rear of the building in 1931 nearly doubled its size. The building is constructed of a marble facade with a granite skirt and terra cotta roof. The building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. In addition, artwork by Gilbert White is in the main courtroom.
