Kelly Osbourne is dating Mario Cuomo -- although, happily, not the late governor. The man in question is in fact the lead singer of up-and-coming band the Orwells, who happens to share a name with the beloved pol who passed in 2015. Sources tell us Osbourne and Cuomo have been on a few dates and met up for dinner in his native Chicago last week, where she was promoting her new book, "There Is No F?-?-?king Secret: Letters From a Badass Bitch." Then again, dating a dead guy might be on-brand for the daughter of a dude who apocryphally bit heads off bats. (Page Six)

Jimmy Kimmel Gets Emotional When Announcing His Son's Birth and Health Complications. Jimmy Kimmel is expressing gratitude after his family welcomed a baby boy into the world. On Monday night's all-new Jimmy Kimmel Live, the late-night host began his show with an opening monologue that was no laughing matter. Instead, Jimmy announced that his wife Molly McNearney welcomed a baby boy named William John Kimmel on Friday, April 21. Three hours after he was born, however, nurses and doctors noticed something uncommon about the newborn. As it turns out, the couple's baby was born with a heart disease that required open heart surgery. "On Monday morning, Dr. Vaughn Starnes opened his chest and fixed one of the two defects in his heart. He went in there with a scalpel and did some kind of magic that I couldn't even begin to explain," Jimmy explained while trying to hold back tears. "He opened the valve, and the operation was a success. It was the longest three hours of my life." This past Sunday, Jimmy and Molly's baby was able to leave the hospital and meet his new home. "He's doing great. He's eating. He's sleeping. He peed on his mother today while she was changing his diaper. He's doing all the things that he's supposed to do," Jimmy joked. "This is the best." Jimmy went on to thank numerous doctors, nurses, family, friends and co-workers. He even thanked his frenemy Matt Damon, which quickly got laughs from the audience. He also expressed gratitude for Children's Hospital Los Angeles for taking such great care of their son. "This is some place Children's Hospital Los Angeles. I hope you never have to go there, but if you do, you'll see so many kids from so many financial backgrounds being cared for so well and with so much compassion," he explained. "I've been supporting Children's Hospital for years. I had no idea we'd ever wind up there." Perhaps the greatest rock star in all of this is Jimmy's wife who has stayed strong through all the ups and downs. "Most of all I want to thank my wife, Molly. First of all, for allowing me to have sex with her in the first place," Jimmy joked. "That was huge right there. So few have done that. But also for being so strong and levelheaded and positive and loving during the worst nightmare a new mother could experience. I couldn't ask for a better partner. I'm so happy we had this baby together. I'm definitely getting a vasectomy after this." He added, "Please say a prayer for or send positive thoughts to the families with children who are still in the hospital now because they need it. And thanks." After the night's show, Jimmy will head off for paternity leave. Will Arnett, Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell and David Spade are expected to fill in this week. Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35 on ABC. (Eonline)

Ripa asked, adding, "Because there's kids watching so I'm just going to say let's call it special grownup time." She then explained, "He's immediately mean to me afterwards and I don't like that. Cheryl Cole and Liam Payne Settle on Their Baby Boy's Name: Report. Cheryl Cole and Liam Payne welcomed their baby boy into the world in March, and we've been patiently waiting to find out more details ever since...especially his name! Well, the reason it may have taken them so long to reveal their son's moniker is because they only just settled on it. According to The Daily Mail, Liam and Cheryl finally decided on a unique name for the baby a few days ago, and that name is (drum roll please)...Bear Payne! A source told the publication, "Liam and Cheryl couldn't decide on a name for ages and kept toing and froing between options. But they both loved Bear and settled on it a few days ago. Despite the sleepless nights, the couple are completely smitten with little Bear." Meanwhile, the One Direction crooner and his girlfriend welcomed their baby boy into the world on March 22. Liam took to Instagram with a heartfelt message about fatherhood, sharing the very first photo of his song. "My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless... wow!" he wrote. "I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far." Liam added, "I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she's really made my dreams come true. We haven't named him yet but he's already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed. Happy Mother's Day everyone!" Cheryl also took to Instagram with her own announcement, sharing the same photo and writing, "On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn't have a name he is already stealing hearts." She continued, "We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever." Though we haven't officially seen Bear since that post, many fans speculated that Cheryl's hairstylist shared a photo of the baby's hands on Snapchat a few weeks ago. (Eonline)

Ben Affleck Moves Out of Family Home With Jennifer Garner. Just a few weeks after Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced that they were filing for divorce, E! News has learned that the actor is moving out of the family home. Moving trucks and vans were spotted outside of the family home earlier in the day. "He found a house close by," a source tells us. "They are both excited for the next step and they are happy that they have two loving homes for the kids." Affleck and Garner have remained extremely close since separating nearly two years ago and have maintained that co-parenting their three children is their ultimate priority. "Their relationship is very fluid and nothing has really changed," one source told E! News back in March. "They have been working at their relationship for the past few years." Our source further added, "They are co-parenting. The most important thing in all of this are their kids." When the separation news first made headlines, the couple put on a united front in the following joint statement: "After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time," the friendly exes shared before adding, "This will be our only comment on this private family matter. Thank you for understanding." (Eonline)

Model Anna Herrin has nothing in common with the angry Fyre Festival goers suing over the disaster ... because she actually had a great time! Anna was at LAX Monday when she explained how she not only survived what everyone else is calling Ja Rule's epic failure -- but thrived. It's true ... the look on Anna's face down in the Bahamas was a far cry from the people shoved in FEMA tents after paying big money for tix. As for all the people suing ... Anna has a far more forgiving outlook. In fact, Ja Rule might wanna line her up to testify on his behalf! (TMZ)

The dramatic split between Khloe Kardashian and longtime stylist Monica Rose may be about to get nasty, we're told. As we reported, Kardashian -- as well as her sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner and model Gigi Hadid -- have suddenly parted ways with superstylist Rose under "mysterious circumstances." Now we've learned Kardashian's furious and wants to sue Rose over the sudden schism -- but Rose says she can prove she's done nothing but a great job for Kardashian. Meanwhile, we're told the whole affair, which began several weeks ago, is causing heartache for everyone concerned. "The Kardashians/Jenners are upset because [Rose] was like family to them," said a source. It seems that Rose -- who's been working with the family since becoming friends with Kim Kardashian in 2007 -- is still working with other big-name clients including Chrissy Teigen, Chanel Iman, Cara Delevingne and Kaia Gerber. Reps didn't get back to us. (Page Six)

Johnny Depp Has a "Clear and Epic" Sense of Entitlement, Ex-Managers Say. Johnny Depp's ex-managers aren't keeping quiet about their former client's extravagant ways. In a cross-complaint filed this week, The Mandel Group insists Depp's "sense of entitlement is clear and epic" and resulted in his financial problems; the financial group claims they played no role in his bankruptcy. "When Depp's spending outpaced his earnings, and he refused to change his lifestyle, he was forced to borrow large sums of money to continue living the lifestyle he admittedly chose," the documents state. "Depp, and Depp alone, is fully responsible for any financial turmoil he finds himself in today. He has refused to live within his means, despite the best efforts of TMG and the repeated warnings about his financial condition from TMG and his other advisors. The arithmetic is straightforward: Depp spent more than he brought in, notwithstanding repeated warnings by TMG." TMG claims the Pirates of the Caribbean actor terminated services in March 2016 and "refused" to pay the firm back on a $5 million loan it made to him when he was "facing public financial ruin" in 2012. TMG also calls Depp's allegations that he was unaware of his dire financial condition "absurd and untrue." Depp's former financial firm goes through each of Depp's complaints and allegations, showing how they're all false or untrue. In a recent Wall Street Journal article, Depp asked, "Why didn't [TMG] drop me as a client if I was so out of control?" In the cross-complaint, TMG answers, "TMG would not drop a long-term client during their most difficult time." "In summary, and as explained in detail below, TMG did everything within its power over the last 17 years to protect Depp from himself and to keep Depp financially solvent," the firm states in the documents. "However, ultimately TMG did not have the power or ability to control Depp's spending or his numerous other vices, or to force Depp to make wiser financial decisions. Contrary to his claims in this action, TMG always made Depp aware of his precarious financial situation." The documents continue, "Depp chose time and again to ignore TMG and all of his other advisors. Depp truly has no one but himself to blame for his current financial and personal circumstances." TMG represented Depp for 17 years and claims the actor "demanded" the firm fund a lifestyle that was "extravagant and extreme." His financial firm claims his lifestyle cost more than $2 million per month. Depp also allegedly spent more than $75 million to acquire, furnish and improve 14 homes including a 45-acre chateau in the South of France. And when he had visitors, Depp allegedly spent $30,000 per month on expensive wines that he had flown to him from around the world. TMG also asserts Depp "refused" to fly anything other than private jets, the constant use of which amounted to an additional $200,000 per month. He also allegedly paid $1.2 million for a personal on-call physician. TMG is hoping to receive restitution in "an amount to be proven at trial, but not less than $560,000." The firm is also hoping for attorneys' fees to be paid by Depp. (Eonline)

Chris Soules bought booze before his fatal accident with a tractor, and was possibly drinking it at the time of the crash ... according to prosecutors in Iowa. Prosecutors made that bombshell revelation in new docs filed Monday in response to Soules' request to dismiss the felony charge. As we reported, Soules' attorney is arguing he shouldn't be charged for leaving the accident because he identified himself to a 911 operator and stayed until EMTs arrived. But prosecutors say Soules did attempt to dodge several facts around the accident, including "an explanation of the empty and partially consumed open alcoholic beverages located in and around his vehicle that he was seen purchasing at a convenience store shortly before the accident." It's unclear if prosecutors have surveillance video or just an eyewitness who saw Soules at the store. The Buchanan County Attorney adds ... Soules fleeing the scene made it impossible for officers to determine his "level of intoxication." (TMZ)

Aries Spears wants payback from the radio host who brutally attacked him with repeated blows to the head, and he's out to get it in court ... TMZ has learned. Aries will file a lawsuit as early as Tuesday May 2 against Zo Williams and the internet-based radio station where the now legendary flurry of fists went down last month. You'll recall ... Williams unleashed punch after punch after punch when Spears joked "light skinned n***as" like Zo always get loud. Spears didn't put up a fight in-studio, but we're told that will change in court. Aries feels he was booked at the station to be a comedian, and was merely doing that when Williams attacked a "defenseless and innocent" person. Aries says what he did is the same kinda stuff Chris Rock does, but he got bashed so badly his injuries affected his ability to perform. We're told he's hired Ben Meiselas of Geragos & Geragos, who will sue the station and Zo. The lawyers claim Zo clearly had a propensity for violence given his conduct, and the station is also responsible because it hired the guy ... and given the circumstances security was clearly lacking. (TMZ)

Akon's been holding out on his biz partner for more than 10 years, and now owes a staggering $150 million in unpaid fees ... according to Devyne Stephens, anyway. Stephens is the music exec who famously helped launch Akon's career, and his Konvict Music label -- and in a new lawsuit he says he's supposed to be getting 40% of everything Akon's earned since 2006. He says their contract gives him a cut of record sales, touring rights, royalties and more. Akon's old pal admits they had a dispute over the contract, but says they squashed it in 2015. Stephens says the problem is ... he still hasn't seen a dime. If the math is right ... Akon's earned nearly $400 million in just over a decade -- a pretty sweet haul, for sure. Stephens is suing to get $150 mil from that bottom line. We've reached out to Akon, so far no word back. (TMZ)

Nick Cannon had a personal connection to the woman who was killed in the San Diego mass shooting over the weekend. "My heart hurts with great sadness tonight," the former America's Got Talent host, 36, captioned a throwback photo via Instagram on Tuesday, May 2. "I just learned that the one life lost in the senseless and tragic mass shooting in San Diego was my childhood friend, who was more like family, Miss Monique Clark." Clark died from injuries she suffered during the shooting at a poolside party at the La Jolla Crossroads complex in University City on Sunday, April 30. According to The New York Times, the suspect, Peter Selis, opened fire around 6 p.m. when he was on the phone with his ex-girlfriend. He also injured six other people and was later shot and killed by police. Cannon described Clark as a "beautiful spirit" who had an "infectious smile." "I have nothing but wonderful memories of this Angel," he continued. "Tears can't express the pain and shock. A mother of 3, a sister, a daughter, a cousin, a friend and a Queen... Rest in Paradise." On Monday, Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman said that the other victims are expected to survive. "There is zero information to indicate that race played a factor in this terrible and horrific crime. The victims were targeted for no other reason but their mere presence in the vicinity of the suspect," Zimmerman said in a statement, via NYT. "It is apparent that Selis wanted his girlfriend to listen in as he carried out his rampage." (US Weekly)

A super popular musician in Atlanta collapsed onstage Monday as the crowd celebrated his 70th birthday. Col. Bruce Hampton -- known as the Granddaddy of the Jam Scene -- was in the middle of an encore -- "Turn on Your Lovelight" -- when he suddenly collapsed onstage. The band kept playing, as if nothing happened ... people thought it was all part of the performance. Sadly, it wasn't. When people realized it was for real, Hampton was rushed to a hospital where he died. RIP. (TMZ)

Author Jean Stein died Sunday in New York City. She was 83. Police say the best-selling author apparently jumped from the penthouse floor of a building in the Upper East Side area of Manhattan on Sunday, according to the Associated Press. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Anderson Cooper's brother Carter died by jumping off the balcony of his mother Gloria Vanderbilt's apartment in the same building in 1988. Stein was a former editor at the Paris Review. In 2016, Stein released "West of Eden: An American Place," about Los Angeles and the Hollywood elite. In 1970, she and editor George Plimpton created the oral history "American Journey: The Times of Robert Kennedy." Her other works include "Edie: An American Girl" about Andy Warhol's muse Edie Sedgwick and the 1960s -- both with late literary icon George Plimpton as editor. Stein is survived by her two daughters, Katrina, an editor and publisher of The Nation, and Wendy, an actress, and producer. (People)

THE OTHER STUFF . . .

J.K. Rowling Sorry for Killing a Beloved Harry Potter Character. While the Harry Potter franchise may have come to an end years ago, J.K. Rowling wants us to know she's really sorry she killed off Severus Snape in the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The author tweeted Tuesday, "OK, here it is. Please don't start flame wars over it, but this year I'd like to apologize for killing (whispers)... Snape. *runs for cover.*" J.K. made sure to keep herself in the clear by also tweeting, "In case the police are reading my notifications, there's a Battle of Hogwarts anniversary tradition going on. I am not on a murder spree." The fatal incident happened during the Battle of Hogwarts, where key character Fred Weasley also died. The battle took place in the book on May 2, 1998, and J.K. has been apologizing for it ever since. On May 2, 2015, the author tweeted, "Today I would just like to say: I'm really sorry about Fred. *Bows head in acceptance of your reasonable ire.*" For many Potterheads, the Battle of Hogwarts took out some of the most beloved characters from the franchise, but the death of Professor Snape brings up a lot of thoughts and emotions. On one hand, readers and viewers believed Snape to be a rude, sort-of evil bully. On the other hand, he is also perceived as a misunderstood character who actually helped many of his students and colleagues. Naturally, Rowling's latest tweet has led to an outpouring of reactions from the fan base on Twitter. One Potterhead, @NickEllis tweeted, "It made sense for the story. We love him so much..." On the flip side, @KimCarlton tweeted, "He also bullied Harry and tried to make his school life hell just because he was petty and bitter???" While those are just two responses, many fans have taken to the social site to give their two cents on the topic. We can't wait until May 2, 2019 when Rowling apologizes for Lord Voldemort's death! OK, maybe not him -- but maybe Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks? (Eonline)

Katie Holmes Is "Smoking Hot" All Night Long at the 2017 Met Gala. Trust in the dynamic duo of Katie Holmes and Zac Posen. In their second appearance at New York City's Met Gala, the actress and fashion designer came together for another unforgettable evening. At the same time, the pair joked that they were "older and wiser" for this year's charity event. "She's channeling Katie Holmes tonight and I'm channeling Zac Posen tonight," Zac shared with E! News' Brad Goreski. "When we get ready, it's pretty relaxed [with] friends, family, our team." On the red carpet, Katie showed off her gown created by the world-famous designer. She completed her look with vintage jewelry and a hairstyle perfected by DJ Quintero. "Smoking Hot!!!! @katieholmes212 and I on our way to the #MetGala," Zac shared on Instagram hours before arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Costume Institute. "Just stunning! @katieholmes212 you take my breath away! #metball #zacposen." Back in 2015, Katie attended the Met Gala and channeled her inner Sia when she showed off a blunt bob with bangs. As for her sparkling dress, that too was from Zac. Once Monday night's red carpet closed, the real fun began as Katie met up with Amy Schumer. While the picture was a bit out of focus, it was perfectly clear that these two were ready to have a fun night. "I so admire this incredibly talented lady ?," she shared on Instagram. "This is us obviously showing off our cleavage :) @zacposen." (Eonline)

Paris Jackson Continues to Leave Her Mark in the Fashion World With First Met Gala Appearance. Remember this name: Paris Jackson! While fashion lovers were oohing and awing over red carpet veterans like Blake Lively, Rihanna and Celine Dion at the 2017 Met Gala, others couldn't help but acknowledge the power that was Miss Jackson. In her first Met Gala appearance, the 19-year-old stepped out at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Costume Institute wearing a Calvin Klein dress that revealed some of her 50 tattoos. She completed her look with a nose ring, black heels and matching nail polish. The appearance comes less than a week after Paris was proclaimed Vanity Fair's newest "It Girl." In the May 2017 issue, Michael Jackson's daughter gave readers Marilyn Monroe vibes while posing in a white robe as she dripped in diamonds. As for the "It Girl" title, there are plenty of reasons behind that achievement. Perhaps it's the fact that she recently signed on with IMG Models. Maybe it's her new gig on Lee Daniels' girl-group series called Star. And through all her gigs, Paris has also been able to make some famous friends including Kendall Jenner. Behind all the glitz and glamour, Paris wants her followers to know there is much more to what meets the eye on social media or in the media. "I think it's important to show our youth that one shouldn't compare another's highlight reel to their own behind the scenes," she told Vanity Fair. (Eonline)

How Celine Dion Prepared to Be Turned Away From Her First Met Gala: ''I Would've Started Singing!" Celine Dion is one of Hollywood's most recognizable faces, but even she was afraid Met Gala personnel might ask for identification! While heading in to Monday evening's big event, the legendary singer discussed with E! News' Brad Goreski what it takes to prepare for one's first-ever Met Ball. "I'm wonderful," she shared. "I'm overwhelmed, but I'm great." Dion stepped out in a bold black and silver gown by Atelier Versace, but as she revealed, there was one condition to her look every practical gal can get on board with: Pockets! "My first impression was that I really insisted there was a pocket in this dress," she shared. "I didn't know if I had to bring my card to let me in," Celine added, asking herself, "Where is it?" She then proceeded to begin pulling out all the items tucked inside the couture dress while busting out her own theatrical version of James Taylor's "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)." Seriously, we couldn't love this celeb more! Celine described her Met Gala survival guide: "I have a tissue just in case. My driver's license, passport. I didn't know what to bring!" She recommended, "Beyond the dress, bring your stuff just in case they don't let you in. I would've started singing in the middle of the street [had they not let me in.]" Something tells us they definitely did. (Eonline)

Gwyneth Paltrow Arrives at 2017 Met Gala After Saying She Was ''Never Going Again.'' Never say never... Just a few short years after dissing fashion's biggest event of the year, Gwyneth Paltrow has shown up on the famous steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in head-to-toe couture for the 2017 Met Gala. The Oscar winner had previously shaded the Anna Wintour-hosted fête and claimed that she would rather do, well, just about anything than rub shoulders with fashion's elite. "I'm never going again," she told USA Today back in 2013. "It was so un-fun. It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all." Well then, tell us how you really feel! At the time, Paltrow had just decompressed after a night out on the town with some of her best friends -- Beyonce, Cameron Diaz and Stella McCartney... to name a few -- while dressed in a stunning Valentino gown. But the mother-of-two's war of words against the event didn't quite end there. During a later interview with Australian radio show hosts Kyle and Jackie O., Paltrow added, "It sucked. It seems like the it's the best thing in the world, you always think, 'Oh my god, it's going to be so glamorous and amazing and you're going to see all of these people' and then you get there and it's so hot and it's so crowded and everyone's pushing you.'" Yikes, here's hoping the actress had a better time at this year's Met Gala and spills the deets in her next sit-down. (Eonline)

It's Official: Rihanna Wins Met Gala 2017 in The 3D Dress. Rihanna just arrived. And it's already over. In a 3D, multi-patterned floral number (because you can't just call it a dress) the Met Gala queen shut. it. down. If there's anything you should know about the night's theme, designer and visionary Rei Kawakubo of Commes des Garçons, it's that the creator isn't afraid of out-of-box silhouettes. Her runway shows are full of enormous, sculptural pieces -- she's a boundary pusher (like our dear friend Riri), which is why the singer's get-up completely won the night. Yet again, BadGalRiri reigns supreme. (Eonline)

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Are the Golden Couple on the 2017 Met Gala Red Carpet. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are good as gold. The gorgeous couple had all eyes on them when they walked the red carpet at the 2017 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Costume Institute on Monday night. And, living up to her reputation as one of Hollywood's most fashionable stars, Blake rocked a stunning gold gown with blue feathers as the train. While the Deadpool star didn't rock any gold to match his wife's gown, his bow tie perfectly complemented the blue feathers at the bottom of the gown and the blue stones in her earrings. Can they be any cuter? (Rhetorical question, we all know the answer is a big ole nope!) Earlier in the day, Blake took to Instagram to jokingly tease her look for the night, posting a throwback photo from her high school dance days. "Met dress preview," she captioned the black and white (and slightly blurry) pic. This year's fundraising benefit is honoring Rei Kawakubo, the founder of Comme des Garçons. (Eonline)

Laura Dern's 2017 Met Gala Dress Has a Removable Train So She Can Dominate the Dance Floor. Let the record show Laura Dern is a dancing machine. The Big Little Lies star was already thinking about the after-party when she chatted with E! News' Brad Goreski on the red carpet at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Costume Institute. Wearing a gorgeous column gown with cut-outs by designer Gabriela Hearst, Laura revealed her favorite thing about her dress was the part she could take off later. "Only a woman designer would make sure that I have buttons to make sure that I can remove my train so that I can have a dance dress for later," she said. (How very Renata of her!) Aside from dance talk, Laura also talked about the smashing success of her latest series, HBO's Big Little Lies, which also starred Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz. While the limited series' success didn't totally surprise her, Laura admitted, "It surprised me to get to work on something where I am with a tribe of amazing women... it's very rare." She continued, "The fact that people connected to it made us really proud and it was really magical." Now how about that second season? (Eonline)

Amy Schumer Attends 2017 Met Gala 1 Year After Calling Fashion Event ''Punishment.'' And they say fashion is fickle... It's only been one year since Amy Schumer called the Met Gala a form of "punishment," but she's back at it again, this time dressed in TKTKTKT. At the 2016 Met Gala, Schumer made her big debut in a sexy Alexander Wang gown and joked on Instagram that she felt uncomfortable throughout the big bash. But during an interview with Howard Stern months later, the comedian confessed that the entire evening "felt like a punishment" rather than a privilege. "It's people doing an impression of having a conversation... I don't like the farce," she explained to the radio host before adding, "We're dressed up like a bunch of f--king a--holes." And to make matters worse, Schumer waxed on about her utter lack of interest for fashion altogether. "I have no interest in fashion. I don't care. I left earlier than I should have been allowed... I got to meet Beyonce and she was like, 'Is this your first Met Gala?' And I was like, 'It's my last!'" Ah, how untrue that was... But fret not you fashion foes, Schumer isn't the only celebrity to speak out about not enjoying herself at the event. In fact, years before the Snatched star dissed the Vogue-hosted event, Gwyneth Paltrow got candid about her experience walking the famous steps at the Met. "It was so un-fun," she explained to USA Today. "It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all." And in a subsequent chat with Aussie radio show hosts Kyle and Jackie O., the Oscar winner further dished, "It sucked. It seems like the it's the best thing in the world, you always think, 'Oh my god, it's going to be so glamorous and amazing and you're going to see all of these people' and then you get there and it's so hot and it's so crowded and everyone's pushing you.'" Looks like Paltrow and Schumer have more in common than they may realize... (Eonline)

Adriana Lima Barely Avoids Embarrassing Wardrobe Malfunction at 2017 Met Gala. Adriana Lima turned some heads when she turned up at the 2017 Met Gala red carpet at Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The reason she caught some eyes was for something other than her beauty -- the Brazilian narrowly avoided a possibly embarrassing wardrobe malfunction when her sexy black design split up the middle and almost showed her lady bits. Uh oh! For the Rei Kawakubo/Comme de Garçon: Art of the In-Between Costume Institute Gala, the 35-year-old Victoria's Secret Victoria's Secret supermodel opted for a black ensemble with a sky-high slit, which she paired with Chopard jewelry. Despite the almost malfunction, the brunette stood firm in her sultry red carpet stance. Not having her split-dress split upon seems like quite a challenge to us! More than previous years, this year's Met Gala is all about pushing the boundaries of fashion. The label Comme des Garçons, which is French for "like some boys," is designed by Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo, who is known to be very secretive. She's also known for staying out of the spotlight and refusing to do interviews. The elusive designer has also refused to attend many of her own runway shows. Founded in Tokyo in 1973, the brand specializes in "anti-fashion." Kawakubo has frequently sent designs down the runway that challenge conventions of fashion and beauty. (Eonline)

La La Anthony Admits Her Met Gala 2017 Look Was Whipped Together in Just Three Days. La La Anthony's dark and stormy, see-through 2017 Met Gala ensemble may have looked like it took years to make, but in truth, the TV personality admitted the whole creation, by Thai Nguyen Atelier, was whipped together by the designer in just three days. On Monday night, Anthony told E! News' Brad Goreski that the whole look was a collaborative effort by Nguyen, her stylist Maeve Riley and herself. The beauty, who opted to frost herself with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, also admitted that the see-through beaded frock got finished right before she hit the red carpet, mentioning that the whole crew was sewing beads on right before. Anthony also confessed that she's worked on her poses before she booked it to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, knowing full well she would be bombarded by cameras at the glittering event. "I definitely looked in the mirror for a good five minutes" she confessed to E! News. "I knew it was going to happen." Good thing! There's no doubt that cameras are going to snap up a storm of photos of the beauty... (Eonline)

Jaden Smith Just Brought His Hair as a Date to the 2017 Met Gala. Things are getting a bit hairy on the 2017 Met Gala red carpet. As Jaden Smith arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Costume Institute in New York City Monday night, fans and photographers alike couldn't help but notice what the actor was carrying in his hand. It's not a purse. And no, it's not a piece of jewelry either. Instead, Jaden decided to hold onto a piece of his hair. The fashion risk quickly got the attention of social media. It also got people wondering: Where the heck did that come from? Back on April 11, Will Smith took to Facebook where he shared a father-son moment to his followers. As it turns out, he totally cut off Jaden's dreadlocks. The haircut comes ahead of Jaden's forthcoming film titled Life in a Year where he will star alongside Cara Delevingne. Meanwhile, Monday night is all about fashion and fundraising for the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute. This year's event focuses on designer Rei Kawakubo and the "Art of the In-Between." As the creator of label Comme des Garçons, the Japanese designer has since specialized in "anti-fashion," frequently sending designs down the runway that challenge conventions of fashion and beauty. Did Jaden nail the theme? We'll let you decide. (Eonline)

Nicki Minaj Is "So Freaking Happy" at the 2017 Met Gala and It Has Nothing to Do With Fashion. Pound the alarm because Nicki Minaj is in the house! While stepping out at the 2017 Met Gala Monday night in New York City, the "Starships" rapper was more than ready to show off her sexy dress from H&M. At the same time, she couldn't help but celebrate the release of her new music video titled "Regret in Your Tears." "I'm so freaking happy about it. I couldn't stop watching it today," Nicki shared with E! News' Brad Goreski when gushing about her new project executed by photographer duo Mert and Marcus. "They did such a beautiful job shooting." The video, which is exclusively on Tidal, is expected to be released on Vevo and other platforms in about four days. Nicki is also set to perform at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas later this month. "Blown away by their work. Honored. The stars aligned," Nicki recently shared on Twitter when teasing her video. "Only video they shot was for MADONNA-Legendary." Music aside, Nicki certainly went big with her red carpet look that was a true collaboration with H&M. "My stylist had a big part in it," the rapper shared with us. "It has to be amazing." And based on all the poses and pictures she is posting on social media, Nicki is feelin' the look. (Eonline)

Drake, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Celine Dion & More to Perform at Billboard Music Awards. Whether you're breaking out your dancing shoes or just grabbing a bowl of popcorn, the 2017 Billboard Music Awards have got you covered with a star-studded lineup. With the awards show just around the corner, nominations and performers have just started being announced, and we couldn't be more excited! Last month, Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and songwriter Julia Michaels appeared on Good Morning America, announcing the nominees for this year's biggest awards, including "Top Artist," "Top 100 Song" and "Top Billboard 200 Album." Drake and The Chainsmokers dominated the nominations list, tied with a record-breaking 22 nominations. Given the success of both of Drizzy's albums (Views and More Life) and the fact that "Closer" has been stuck in our heads for months, we're not totally shocked. That said, Twenty One Pilots and Rihanna aren't far behind, with 17 and 14 nominations, respectively. New to the list is Shawn Mendes, who is earning his first nominations. But of course, the Billboard Music Awards aren't just about the trophies, but about the music. The first list of performers has just been released, and it's looking pretty incredible. Last year, the awards show pulled out all the stops, featuring performances from stars like Pink, Meghan Trainor, DNCE, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and an epic Britney Spears medley that frankly, we're still not sure we've recovered from. The show also featured a heartfelt performance from Kesha following her infamous legal dispute with Dr. Luke and a Prince tribute featuring Madonna and Stevie Wonder. This year promises to be just as amazing, with Bruno Mars, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Florida Georgia Line, Lorde, and Nicki Minaj already slated to perform. Camila Cabello will also be performing, her second award show appearance since splitting from Fifth Harmony. More A-list artists are sure to be added soon, so stay tuned for more updates. The 2017 Billboard Music Awards air live on Sunday, May 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET. on ABC from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. (Eonline)

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' breakthrough hit wasn't an original ... according to a "legendary" New Orleans jazz musician ... who's looking to get his cut. Paul Batiste says "Thrift Shop" borrows heavily from 2 of his songs -- "Hip Jazz" and "World of Blues." He says the Macklemore track's beat and horn melodies come from his songs, which were recorded back in 1997 and 2000. Batiste describes himself as a founding member of The Batiste Brothers Band, and a "major influence" of the current NOLA jazz scene. Whether you've heard of him or not isn't really the issue -- it's what you hear in the music. Take a listen and judge for yourself. BTW, Batiste is also suing over "Neon Cathedral" -- claiming the duo lifted from 3 of his other songs. He wants his share of the profits from both Macklemore tunes. (TMZ)

Hillary Lindsey, Writer of Hits for Lady Gaga and Blake Shelton, Enters Joint Deal With BMG and Rezonant: Exclusive. Hillary Lindsey, currently among Nashville's most consistent songwriters, has entered into a new global publishing deal that continues her six-year relationship with BMG in partnership with upstart indie Rezonant Music, the Billboard has learned exclusively. The deal brings together several partners with a natural bond. BMG Nashville executive vp Kos Weaver was formerly employed by Rezonant CEO/co-founder Tim Wipperman when both were at Warner/Chappell. In their current roles, they're able to blend the strength of BMG's multi-national presence with the boutique focus of the smaller Rezonant, established in August 2016. Lindsey, who first came to prominence as one of the writers behind Carrie Underwood's "Jesus, Take The Wheel," signed with BMG in October 2010 and logged a series of enviable successes. She shared the Country Music Association's song of the year trophy for Little Big Town's "Girl Crush," earned two Golden Globe nominations and an Oscar nomination for contributions to Country Strong and The Chronicles of Narnia, and nabbed a Grammy nomination for best country song this year with Keith Urban's "Blue Ain't Your Color." "Hillary, to me, had a Hall of Fame songwriter career before she got to BMG, and it's hit a whole 'nother trajectory since she's been here," Weaver says. "As often happens with a songwriter that's got that level of success, one of the things that they're interested in doing is selling a catalog, and I was just thrilled that I was able to do that with Tim, and to keep that creative juggernaut going with her and with a partner that I know will also be able to aid in that." She currently has three songs in the top 20 of Country Airplay: Blake Shelton's "Every Time I Hear That Song," Lady Antebellum's "You Look Good" and Florida Georgia Line's collaboration with Backstreet Boys, "God, Your Mama, And Me." Additionally, Lindsey wrote a number of the titles on Lady Gaga's Joanne, including "Million Reasons." "When you talk to an elite writer, they bring a certain unique perspective to your mind's ear," Wipperman says. "It's no different than a [Claude] Monet or a [Paul]Cezanne as a painter brings unique perspective to the canvas they paint. Hillary brings her own unique perspective to the song and to the auditory canvas. And she does it in spades." The deal provides joint ownership of Lindsey's past catalog and of her future compositions. It also provides Lindsey the ability to groom other songwriters through her own publishing venture, if she chooses to do that. The BMG/Rezonant partnership also sets a precedent for potential future deals with other writers. (Billboard)

Vin Diesel Working on 'Monster' Dance Track With Steve Aoki. When most movie stars break through the stratosphere one of the first things you hear is, "but what I really want to do is direct." Not Vin Diesel. Nope. The Fast & Furious star is one of the biggest box office draws on the planet and instead of getting behind a RED camera, what he really wants to do is... make beats. Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, the karaoke master interrupted the interview to call his pal DJ Steve Aoki to reveal that the pair had recorded a "monster" dance track recently in Las Vegas that features Diesel's vocals. And it's killer. You know how the Diesel knows? According to the paper, "when the Fast & Furious megastar played the track for his girlfriend -- and mother of his three children -- Paloma Jimenez the next day, it brought Diesel to tears." Tears! Aoki and Diesel, 49, declined to play the track for the reporter, or even reveal its name. But Aoki, FaceTiming in from Mexico, had high praise for the mystery song. "What Vin brought to the table, I've never experienced before," he reportedly raved. "I think it's going to blow people's minds." That positive feedback made Diesel's eyes go wide with joy, at which point he tripled down. "You just got gold. You. Just. Got. GOLD!" he told the reporter. Diesel-who performed with Nicky Jam at the Billboard Latin Music Awards last week and added vocals to Kygo and Selena Gomez's "It Ain't Me" earlier this year -- is later described as smiling at an assistant who is constantly filming his every move and promising, "I'm gonna get a Grammy before I get an Oscar!" 'Valerian' Behind-the-Scenes Look Kicks Off VFX Confab FMX. VFX pros from ILM, Rodeo FX and Weta at the Stuttgart event describe the making of the creatures and environments from Luc Besson's upcoming sci-fi epic. A two-hour behind-the-scenes look at the making of Luc Besson's Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets -- featuring new artwork and clips from the film-kicked off the FMX visual effects and animation conference Tuesday in Stuttgart, Germany. Slated to open July 21, Besson's "passion project" is based on the French sci-fi comic book series Valerian and Laureline from Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mezieres. VFX supervisor Scott Stokdyk (an Oscar winner for 2004's Spider-Man 2) reported that Valerian would feature a whopping 2,355 visual effects shots from VFX houses including Weta Digital, Industrial Light & Magic and Rodeo FX, all of which previewed parts of their work during the session. Stokdyk also gave a nod to Besson's The Fifth Element, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and which he said inspired elements of Valerian, and vice versa. Emphasis was placed on Valerian's extensive use of concept art, storyboarding and previs. Besson also created one video previs sequence with roughly 50 students from his L'Ecole du Cinema in Paris. The film was mostly shot on bluescreen stages at Besson's La Cite du Cinema in Paris, with additional motion capture shot at Weta in Wellington, New Zealand. Besson also involved some of his students on set. Said Stokdyk: "It was nice to see him giving back to the local community here." Noting that many environments and creatures were required to give Valerian the "scope and scale it needed," Martin Hill of Weta Digital discussed the making of digital characters, including the Doghans. Their look -- just a few feet in height with a stout-like nose and mouth -- essentially started with a sculpture that was scanned into a computer and then given skin texture digitally, as well as hair using Weta's Wig software. The Doghans are fully CG in the film, though performed on set by a trio of actors to get the timing and performance. (Clips showing the actors on set through the finished shots were shown). Next were the more human-like in size Boulans, which were created using performance capture. Facial capture was used for key Boulans, including Bubble, voiced by Rihanna. Hill also showed some footage of a Bromosaur, a giant, bioluminescent creature that lives beneath the sea. ILM's Philippe Rebours revealed an expansive Big Market that's mostly CG with live-action elements filmed with partial sets on a bluescreen stage. This environment includes a CG canyon, which is supposed to be 500 floors down; use of a "library" of storefronts, based on Besson's art work; and a collection of aliens of all shapes and sizes (some hero characters and others to populate the environment). He detailed the making of a vicious "Megaptor," a creature with a crab-like outer shell, for which ILM gave skin under the shell in order to create its movement; and Igor Siruss, which will be a CG character based on the performance of actor Laurent Ferraro and voiced by John Goodman. Francois Dumoulin of Rodeo FX showed the making of a complex space-set scene that includes the Alpha metropolis. Elements of this sequence included Alpha, a Lexus Skyjet (designed with Lexus), the Intruder spacecraft, and CG characters to populate the environment. "The walls were covered with concept art," he recalled of the first meeting about this sequence. "When Besson commits to an idea, he really does, in every aspect." (Hollywood Reporter)

HBO is marking the 20th anniversary of the year of Princess Diana's death by securing U.S. rights a landmark doc. The film, produced by Oxford Film and Television for ITV in the U.K., is built around interviews with the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, both of whom talk candidly and in depth about their mother and how her influence has shaped their lives. The doc will also look at the late Princess' contribution to public life, including her philanthropic and humanitarian work in areas including child bereavement, homelessness and HIV and AIDS. Ken Loach Criticizes BBC's "Disgusting" Political Bias Ahead of U.K. Election. "I think it calls into question the fairness of the election. If you can't have a free and balanced press, I don't think you can have a free election." Ken Loach has joined a growing chorus of complaints against the BBC for perceived political bias ahead of the upcoming British general election. The veteran filmmaker and two-time Palme d'Or winner called out the public broadcaster for favoring the Conservative Party in its political coverage and its negative portrayal of Jeremy Corbyn, the left-wing leader of the Labour Party. "The press and the broadcasters really do everything to denigrate him," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "I think the one thing that emerges is the bias of the press, particularly of the BBC, which is in such a very special position. It's disgusting...unbelievable. And they've really got to be called into question." Loach added that there was a "built-in sneer" from the BBC against Corbyn, who he has openly declared his support for. Several BBC reporters have been criticized of late for political coverage that is claimed to have breached the broadcaster's impartiality guidelines. Political editor Laura Kuenssberg, who has come under repeated fire for her unsympathetic reporting of Corbyn, was found by the BBC Trust to have inaccurately reported the Labour leader's views over shoot-to-kill policies in a report in November 2015. Kuenssberg was also attacked via social media over a tweet about Conservative spending fraud during the election in 2015, labeling the incident -- in which more than 20 members of parliament are being investigated by the police -- merely as a "mistake." Likewise Nick Robinson, the former BBC political editor and now a presenter on its influential political radio show, Today, was recently called out for a tweet April 20 in which he said: "no-one should be surprised that @jeremycorbyn is running v the 'Establishment' & is long passion and short on details. Story of his life." As Loach highlighted to THR, Robinson's outspoken opinion regarding Corbyn could be explained by the BBC presenter's own Conservative political leanings. "He's a Tory! He was chair of the Young Conservatives at Oxford University," he said, claiming that biased coverage negatively affects the chance for real democracy. "I think it calls into question the fairness of the election. If you can't have a free and balanced press, I don't think you can have a free election." In response, Robinson said in a statement: "I judge Ken Loach by the quality of the work he produces. He is a great film maker. I think he should judge me in the same way-by the impartial interviews I do which are rigorous with all sides." According to the documentary Versus: The Life and Films of Ken Loach, the veteran filmmaker came out of retirement following the victory of the Conservatives in the 2015 election, directing I, Daniel Blake, which took aim at the "conscious cruelty" of the U.K.'s benefits system. The acclaimed film would go on to win the Palme d'Or and become his most successful title to date. (It also came under attack from Conservative MPs who claimed it wasn't true). Asked whether he might get back behind the camera should the Conservatives win again June 8, Loach, now 80, admitted he wasn't sure. "I don't know. At this time of the day I think, yes, it's worth it. But first thing in the morning, I struggle," he said. "We'll have to see." (Hollywood Reporter)

Princess Diana Getting HBO Documentary With Prince Harry, Prince William Interviews. Princess Diana is getting the HBO documentary treatment with the help of her sons. The late Princess of Wales' life and work will be celebrated with a new movie from HBO Documentary Films to mark the 20th anniversary of her passing. In a release, HBO said the documentary will feature Prince Harry and Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, talking openly and in depth about their mother and how her influenced shaped their lives. The princes will also offer their take on Diana's contribution to public life, and her charitable and humanitarian work, including her work in the fields of landmines, child bereavement, homelessness and HIV and AIDS. "This film will show Princess Diana in a way she has never been seen before, through the eyes of the two people who knew her best," Nick Kent, the film's executive producer at Oxford Film and Television, said in a statement. In addition to Prince William and Prince Harry, the film will feature interviews with other key figures from Princess Diana's life, "many of whom have never spoken publicly before," and new archival material. HBO has rights to the film, which was produced by Oxford Film and television for ITV in the United Kingdom. No official premiere date has been set aside from later in 2017. Ashley Gething will serve as producer and director. This isn't the only TV project about Princess Diana in the works. Ryan Murphy will tell the story of Princess Diana and Prince Charles in the second season of Feud, Feud: Charles and Diana. "I was shocked at how many people did want it. Diana has become sort of a Scarlet O'Hara thing where a lot of people have thrown their hat in the ring," Murphy told E! News about casting the famous role. "And I'm just talking to a lot of people and lot of actors want to be Charles too. We're writing now and we're shooting it in the fall. "Murphy said he was looking at both known actresses and undiscovered talents. "I'm reading unknowns and I'm also meeting very famous established British actresses. Everything, everybody," he said. ITV Buys Majority Stake in 'Line of Duty' Producer. The police show has been a major hit for the BBC. U.K. TV giant ITV has acquired a majority stake in World Productions, the company behind BBC TV hit Line of Duty. Line of Duty, set within the anti-corruption team of a British police force, has become one of the most talked about shows on British television. Following three seasons on BBC Two, where it became the channel's highest-rated drama in 15 years, season four moved to flagship channel BBC One where its final episode -- starring Thandie Newton -- concluded Sunday evening with an audience of 7.5 million, the series' best-ever rating. World Productions is also behind shows such as Born to Kill, The Bletchley Circle, Dark Angel, In Plain Sight, Code of a Killer, The Great Train Robbery and The Fear, and is currently producing Save Me, a new series for Sky Atlantic written by and starring Line of Duty's Lennie James. ITV Studios' distribution business, ITV Studios Global Entertainment, will manage international distribution of new series. World Productions CEO Roger Charteris will step down from the business, with creative director and new CEO Simon Heath and managing director Roderick Seligman continuing to oversee the creative and day-to-day management. "I'm delighted to welcome Simon and the World Productions team into the ITVS family," said ITV Studios managing director Julian Bellamy. "World has made a name for itself as one the country's foremost drama producers with a raft of brilliant, stand out series from BBC's Line of Duty to Channel 4's Born to Kill. I can't wait to work with Simon's team as they drive World Productions into a new phase of growth in the UK and beyond." "We are immensely proud of how far World Productions has come and to be handing over a company which is producing some of the very finest British television drama." said Charteris. While nothing about that was mentioned Tuesday, ITV may eventually choose to move future seasons of Line of Duty from the BBC to ITV (although not season five, which has already been announced), getting another hit show away from the broadcaster that has lost The Voice and The Great British Bake Off in recent years.
