MORE THAN POCKET CHANGE

According to a Women's Health tally, regularly outsourcing beauty treatments can cost over $3,000 a year. Check out their beauty math which is based on averages they sourced from different salons around the U.S. and think of all the things you could do with your newfound cash by doing it yourself:

Spray Tan
The average booth spray tan clocks in at roughly $30. If you get one every month, you'll pay up to $360 a year, or about two and a half months of daily Starbucks runs.

Hair Color
Prices vary, but a single process tends to run $50 to $100. Going every six weeks means forting over $450 to $900 a year, which is about the cost of a monthly car payment.

Blowout
At about $40 a pop, that weekly blowout will set you back $2,080 by the end of the year or close to a quarter of the average American's federal tax bill.

Manicure
A typical spa mani costs about $20, so hitting the nail salon every two weeks could ring in at $520 a year, the price of a plane ticket to some far-flung destination.
