ADOT begins paving project on US 70 Drivers should plan for lane restrictions in Bylas

The Arizona Department of Transportation has started a pavement project on 4 miles of US 70 in Bylas, and advises drivers to plan for lane restrictions through spring 2018.

The project is located within the boundaries of the San Carlos Apache Reservation, beginning at Calva Road at milepost 293, and continuing east to milepost 297.

Lane restrictions maintain a minimum of one lane of traffic for both directions. They are scheduled to occur from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays-Fridays through spring 2018. The speed limit in the work zone will be reduced from 50 mph to 35 mph.

Drivers and pedestrians should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

For more information please visit the project website.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. For more information, please call the ADOT Project Information Line at 855.712.8530 or email Projects@azdot.gov.
