Pavement resurfacing work will restrict Glendale Avenue at Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway)

Drivers who use Glendale Avenue in the West Valley between the Loop 101 and 99th Avenue should be prepared for delays and consider alternate routes this weekend while Arizona Department of Transportation crews do pavement resurfacing work. The following restrictions and closures are scheduled to be in place from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 21:

Glendale Avenue will be closed in both directions between Loop 101 and 99th Avenue. Drivers can use Northern Avenue or Bethany Home Road instead.
Loop 101 off-ramp traffic will be limited to making turns only onto eastbound Glendale Avenue.

ADOT plans to complete work and lift all restrictions prior to Saturday evening’s hockey game at nearby Gila River Arena.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. For more information, please call the ADOT Project Information Line at 855.712.8530 or email Projects@azdot.gov. For real-time highway conditions statewide, visit ADOT’s Traveler Information Site at www.az511.gov, follow ADOT on Twitter (@ArizonaDOT) or call 511, except while driving.
