THE OTHER STUFF . . .

It's been just over 11 days since Meghan Markle wed Prince Harry in a fairy tale ceremony at Windsor Castle, and her transformation into the Duchess of Sussex already appears to be complete. She debuted her new royal look -- complete with polished side chignon (bye-bye, messy bun!) -- during a Buckingham Palace garden party on May 22. And with the royal wedding behind her, Meghan is now ready for the real work to begin. "She's not going to want to be a quiet princess and simply open hospitals or cut ribbons," a royal insider tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story. Meghan will likely focus on issues concerning "young women and teenage girls. She is familiarizing herself with the landscape in this country," says Lorraine Heggessey, chief executive officer of the Royal Foundation, which oversees the charitable efforts of Prince William, Kate Middleton, Harry and now Meghan. "She's meeting groups and wants to do that privately so she can get to know people." Adds Meghan's longtime friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin: "There is a lot of work ahead of her, and it takes a really strong person to fill those shoes. This is now a huge platform for Meghan to really get into the activism that she wants to do. She's really stoked about taking on the role and trying to make change happen." Meghan is set to make her first appearance alongside Harry and the rest of the royal family on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the annual Trooping the Colour celebrations on June 9. But she's already proven she can hold her own with her in-laws, having confidently broken tradition and given a speech in front of the family at her wedding reception. "She's a very warm person. Her speech showed how capable she is," says a guest. (People)

Kendall Jenner is dating Philadelphia 76er Ben Simmons, multiple sources tell Page Six exclusively. An insider familiar with the duo said the romance has been going on "for a few weeks." Another source told us the pair was spotted this week on a lunch date at the Beverly Hills Hotel. And a third source said that Jenner, 22, and Simmons, 21, were seen last week in Manhattan with a group of friends at the clubby Bowery restaurant Vandal. "Security measures seemed to have been taken to ensure Kendall and Ben enjoyed their night hassle free," said a witness. "They were smiling the night away with their friends." Supermodel and reality star Jenner is rebounding from another NBA star -- former LA Clippers player Blake Griffin, who was traded to the Detroit Pistons. The pair was seen avoiding each other last month at music festival Coachella. Jenner spent Memorial Day weekend taking sexy bikini pictures with her sister Kourtney Kardashian, but then met on Tuesday with the 6-foot-10 point guard Simmons. On Monday, Simmons was seen arriving at LAX, and told TMZ he'd be up for playing with LeBron James amid rumors that King James could leave the Cavaliers after this season and move to Philly to join its burgeoning team of talented young stars. When asked if he could play with James, Rookie of the Year candidate Simmons said, "There's only one way to find out." Simmons was previously linked to singer Tinashe after a flirty interaction on social media. Jenner, meanwhile, keeps her romances very private. She allegedly also dated ASAP Rocky, and she addressed speculation in a recent Vogue article by saying, "I don't think I have a bisexual or gay bone in my body, but I don't know! Who knows?! I'm all down for experience -- not against it whatsoever -- but I've never been there before." Reps did not immediately get back to us to comment. (Page Six)

People can't believe how much Demi Lovato's sister has grown up since her Desperate Housewives days. She looks gorgeous! If you were a fan of Desperate Housewives, you probably remember Juanita Solis, the daughter of Gabby and Carlos in the series. Juanita was brought to life by Madison De La Garza, an adorable 7-year-old with pinchable cheeks, who aside from being a great child actress starring next to Eva Longoria, just happened to be Demi Lovato's half-sister. Well, the people of the internet love a then and now and have found out that Madison is looking very different these days. All grown-up, Madison has recently shared photos of her prom on Instagram and she looks so good - and is doing amazingly well for herself. We can't wait to see what Madison gets up to in the future - we just know it's definitely promising. (British Glamour)

Andy Cohen is in the hot seat for his 50th birthday. The staff at Watch What Happens Live surprised their boss by taping a special episode in which the Bravo personality appeared as a guest -- and BFF John Mayer took over hosting duties. Cohen, who turns 50 on Saturday, gasped as the "New Light" singer strolled into the Bravo Clubhouse. "It is so hard to go dark on Andy because we talk so constantly. I couldn't give away that I was in New York. It was the hardest 12 hours of my life," said Mayer, 40. The celebrations included cake, balloons, an embarrassing dive into Cohen's vault of personal videos, a phone call from Dolly Parton and video messages from celeb pals Sarah Jessica Parker, Anderson Cooper, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. Mayer even serenaded his friend with an acoustic cover of "It's My House" by Diana Ross. "Oh my God this is amazing!" Cohen sighed. Mayer also joked about how being close with Cohen allows him entry into Hollywood's A-list circles despite his dating history. (He's romanced Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson.) "You have a lot of friends who without you would want nothing to do with me, and I find that exciting. You're friends with Jennifer Lawrence, who just doesn't want anything to do with me. And look at me. I don't have the greatest track record when it comes to celebrity relationships, so it's amazing to watch your friends humor me on a friend level but also keep a fair distance from me," he said. "It's really, really fun. Because if you are somebody who cares about their image ... dating John Mayer at this point is conceptually just sort of a no-no. So it's really fun to get to hang out with your friends, your A-list star friends, who otherwise would be highly uncomfortable sitting around me. And I want to thank you for that." "Well I want them to see you in a 'new light' that I see you," Cohen replied, riffing on Mayer's new single. "Thank you. Slowly but surely I'm setting myself up for another disastrous celebrity relationship so that I can wake up a month later and be back 10 years in time," he said. Later, Mayer joked about their bromance, asking Cohen, "Do you think people wonder if we're in a secret relationship?" To find out, tune in to Watch What Happens Live: Andy's 50th Birthday airs Sunday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. (People)

Good news, Houston Rockets fans -- you may have lost Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, but all early signs point to your star PG Chris Paul returning next season ... including the fact he's selling his L.A.-area home. CP3, who's set to be a free agent next season, put his Calabasas property on the market just months after buying a massive mega-mansion in Texas about 30 miles from where the Rockets play ... and he's asking for a cool $11.5 million. The Calabasas pad -- which Paul bought in 2015 for nearly $9 mil -- is more than 11,000 sq. ft. with 6 beds and 8 baths ... featuring a master bedroom with a private courtyard, a chef's kitchen with a pizza oven, a refrigerated wine closet and a home theater. The ballin' grounds boast a pool & spa, fountain, waterfall, fire pit, BBQ island ... and a full-size outdoor basketball court. Oh, and Khloe Kardashian is the next-door neighbor. Tomer and Isidora Fridman are working with Paul on the sale ... which seems to scream -- I wanna stay in Houston!! (TMZ)

Tommy Lee's Calabasas pad is apparently home sweet home no longer ... so he's trying to unload it once again. The rocker put his 6 bed, 8 bath, nearly 10,000 sq. ft. palace back on the market after briefly taking it down early this year. Tommy's house is 3 levels featuring walnut floors, stone counters, soaring ceilings, a full gym and an incredible music studio transformed from a 13-car garage. If that's not cool enough ... there's also a retractable roof covering a jungle-like indoor atrium with cascading waterfalls. And just for good measure ... the backyard boasts a saltwater pool and built-in BBQ. Lee was asking for nearly $5 mil for the home last year but is now working with new agents -- Jonathan Siegfried and Tomer Fridman -- and dropped the price to $4.65 mil. You'll recall ... this is the house where Tommy Lee's son recently coldcocked his dad, triggering a criminal investigation. He bought the property in 2007 for $5.85 mil ... so it seems like quite a steal. (TMZ)

Kim Kardashian West will meet with Donald Trump to continue her quest ... to free imprisoned great-grandmother Alice Marie Johnson. Our sources tell us Kim and her attorney, Shawn Holley, have scheduled a meeting Wednesday with Trump to lobby for to get Johnson's sentence commuted. She's currently serving a life sentence at the Aliceville Correctional Facility in Alabama. As we reported ... KKW and Shawn have been working with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner for months to free Alice, but now the Prez is getting involved directly. Although Kim was a Hillary Clinton supporter, we're told Trump's on board with helping since Ivanka supports the cause too ... and Kanye's recent public support of him certainly didn't hurt. Our sources say Kim will make the trip without KUWTK cameras or her sisters. The 62-year-old great-grandma's case became national news last year when Kim tweeted about it -- she was sentenced to life in prison without parole in 1997 on money laundering and drug conspiracy charges ... her first offense. Alice wrote Kim a heartfelt thank-you note for pushing hard for her pardon, and she could have a great reason to write another one soon. (TMZ)

Reallllly bad look for Tesla -- one of its top-of-the-line sedans smashed into a police car, while it was in the much-maligned autopilot mode. The wreck happened Tuesday morning in Laguna Beach. The police cruiser was parked, and luckily no officers were inside when the Model S rammed into it. The driver of the Tesla reportedly suffered some minor injuries, but nothing that required immediate treatment. There have been a handful of crashes involving Teslas on autopilot ... including a fatal incident in March of this year, and another in 2016. Tesla says it's warned drivers NOT to rely on the system and to remain alert while it's engaged. (TMZ)

Starbucks held its nationwide anti-racial bias training Tuesday in response to an incident last month in which 2 black men were unjustly arrested in a Philadelphia shop, and we're told some employees felt uncomfortable with the material ... and the presentation. According to the booklet provided to employees for the training -- obtained by TMZ -- some of the questions were only directed toward people of color ... which we're told made the session feel the opposite of all-inclusive. For example, one question referred to a person having an accent ... while another focused on going "to work with your natural hair." Our sources say this limited scope of questions caused many employees to be confused and even upset ... because the questions were not all-inclusive and didn't seem to bridge any gap between races. We're also told many employees felt the training session -- which lasted roughly 3-4 hours at over 8,000 stores -- was more for show than actually helpful. (TMZ)
