Taraji P. Henson Cracks the Boys' Club in What Men Want Trailer. "This is not a curse. This is a gift." So, says Ali Davis (Taraji P. Henson) in the trailer for Paramount Pictures' What Men Want, released just moments ago. After being passed over for a promotion at her sports agency, and being told to "stay in your lane," Ali visits a psychic and is given a mystical tea that enables her to actually hear men's thoughts. With her newfound abilities, Ali has an advantage over her colleagues (Brian Bosworth, Pete Davidson, Max Greenfield and Jason Jones) and infiltrates their boys' club at work. All the while, she works overtime to sign the next NBA superstar. Of course, Ali's powers have their downsides, as they test her friendships and a possible romance. Directed by Adam Shankman, and produced by James Lopez and Will Packer, additional cast members include Erykah Badu, Josh Brener, Mark Cuban, Deja Dee, Charles Green, Aldis Hodge, Tamala Jones, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Kausar Mohammed, Tracy Morgan, Shaquille O'Neal, Ashani Roberts, Phoebe Robinson, Richard Roundtree and Chris Witaske. What Men Want, scheduled to premiere in theaters nationwide on Jan. 11, 2019, is a remake of the hit 2000 Nancy Meyers film What Women Want, co-starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt. Henson next lends her voice to Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet, in theaters Nov. 21. (Eonline)

Sharon Tate is about to be resurrected in spectacular fashion in Quentin Tarantino's new movie, thanks to Margot Robbie ... so says Sharon's sister, who watched the action on the closed set. Debra Tate says QT's flick "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" -- which centers around the murders of her sibling and her friends at the hands of the Manson Family -- is magnificent because Margot is capturing all the nuances from the slain actress. It's a hell of an Oscar pitch. Debra says Margot's taking the role incredibly seriously ... and it shows from what she's seen firsthand on set. And, of course, the resemblance is uncanny. There's also this ... Debra says all the A-listers attached -- including Leo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Al Pacino, just to name a few -- are actually super friendly in real life. How 'bout that?! Debra had previously bashed Tarantino and his cast for not reaching out to her for her blessing, but that's all changed. She came out fully supporting the movie late last month ... and it sounds like the film has come to exceed her expectations since then. (TMZ)

The San Sebastian Film Festival has added Bradley Cooper's A Star is Born, Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman and Damien Chazelle's First Man along with seven other movies to its lineup. The 10 additions, which also include new films from Alfonso Cuaron, Jacques Audiard and Jia Zhangke, will screen in the Spanish festival's so-called Perlak section competition for the City of Donostia/San Sebastian Audience Award. Spain's only A-list festival, and the leading Spanish-speaking festival in the world, San Sebastian will run Sept. 21-Sept. 29 in the beachside town in northern Spain's Basque region. This is the first time that Lee will compete for an award in San Sebastian. His film about an African-American policeman who infiltrates the Ku Klux Klan won the jury grand prix honor at Cannes and the audience award at the Locarno Film Festival. Chazelle's film stars Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong, the first astronaut to walk on the moon, and Claire Foy. Before going to San Sebastian, the movie will open the Venice Film Festival. Cuaron will bring Roma, which will also have its premiere in Venice, to the Spanish festival, in which the Mexican director portrays the life of a maid working in a middle-class district of Mexico City in the early 1970s. Audiard will present his western The Sisters Brothers, which will have its premiere at the Venice Film Festival. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Joaquin Phoenix and John C. Reilly. Cooper will screen his directorial debut that portrays musician Jackson Maine who discovers and falls in love with struggling artist Ally, played by Lady Gaga. After its premiere in Venice, A Star Is Born will close the audience award lineup to a close in San Sebastian. Zhangke's Ash Is Purest White chronicles the changes transforming China via a violent love story. Other movies that organizers added to its lineup on Tuesday are Nadine Labaki's Capharnaum, winner of the jury prize in Cannes; Lukas Dhont's Girl, winner of the Golden Camera award for best first film in Cannes; Ciro Guerra's Pajaros de verano (Birds of Passage); and Mamoru Hosoda's Mirai, which premiered in the Cannes Directors' Fortnight program. These films join those previously unveiled for the San Sebastian audience award category, namely Jafar Panahi's Three Faces, Pawel Pawlikowski's Cold War, Summer by Kirill Serebrennikov, El angel by Luis Ortega, Petra by Jaime Rosales, Raul de la Fuente and Damian Nenow's Another Day of Life, as well as Asako I & II by Ryusuke Hamaguchi.
