Maintenance work on SR 79 Gila River Bridge near Florence

State Route 79 at the Gila River Bridge, near Florence (milepost 136) will be narrowed to one lane Thursday(Oct. 29) from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. to allow Arizona Department of Transportation crews to conduct maintenance work.

Message boards and crews will guide drivers through the work zone.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead to avoid the closure or allow extra travel time if traveling during the scheduled closure period.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned roadway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
