Traffic signal work begins Monday, Dec. 18, at Araby Road and 32nd Street
Yuma drivers: Plan for possible delays through Friday, Dec. 22
Drivers on Araby Road south of Interstate 8 in Yuma could experience occasional delays next week as Arizona Department of Transportation crews install a new detection system to regulate the traffic signals at Araby Road and 32nd Street.
The detection system utilizes radar to regulate the signals. It will replace an aging loop detection system in the pavement.
Periodic lane restrictions are expected during the work, which is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting Monday, Dec. 18, and continuing through Friday, Dec. 22. Signal timing in the intersection could also be altered during the work. Drivers should approach the intersection with caution.
Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. For more information, please call the ADOT Project Information Line at 855.712.8530 or email Projects@azdot.gov.
