Overhead utility work to bring brief delays on Ajo Way west of I-19 Sunday morning
Motorists traveling on State Route 86 (Ajo Way) west of Interstate 19 on Sunday morning (Jan. 24) may encounter delays during work on an overhead utility crossing at Kostka Road.
Brief closures of SR 86 will occur approximately every 15 minutes between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The work will require traffic to stop in both directions. Kostka Road is located approximately 1,000 feet west of I-19.
ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule. To stay up-to-date with the latest highway conditions around the state, visit the ADOT Traveler Information Center atwww.az511.gov or call 511.
