Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Adopt a "Kid." There's a new kid in the family. Ellen DeGeneres announced on her eponymous daytime talk show Thursday that she and wife Portia De Rossi have added a new member to the mix: Kid, a 9-week-old puppy. "I have not talked about this yet, but we have a new puppy. Portia and I got a puppy and his name is Kid so now we have a kid. Yep. I mean, he is absolutely adorable," DeGeneres said while sharing photos of her new pup. Though Kid is "cute as can be," DeGeneres said it's "not cute" to wake up at 11, and 1, and 3 and 5. And then 5 is when he's up, up. That's Wolf. He's you can't tell he's tiny. Wolf is not that big, but our other two -- Auggie and Wolf -- are doing great with him. They're really teaching him a lot, but he's so...Oh, God!" DeGeneres then gave guest DJ Stephen "tWitch" Boss a heads up about what to expect after his wife and fellow So You Think You Can Dance alum Allison Holker gives birth. "He's got so much energy, so I'm just warning you right now: When you have -- well, when Allison has that baby -- you're gonna be so tired," the comedienne said. tWitch replied, "Gonna be very tiring." "It really makes me appreciate what it's like to be a mother. Because like I'm trying to hold a puppy while I'm trying to make coffee. And I can't do anything. He doesn't let me do anything," DeGeneres said. "And I named him Kid because, you know, people...There have been rumors forever. 'When are you and Portia gonna have a kid?' So, now I can say we have a Kid. So it can just stop." In her 2011 book, Seriously...I'm Kidding, DeGeneres joked about people who longed to see her become a mother. "People are constantly asking Portia and me if we are going to have children. We thought about it. We love to be around children after they've been fed and bathed. But we ultimately decided that we don't want children of our own," she wrote. "There is far too much glass in our house." DeGeneres made similar jokes about parenthood when she appeared on NBC's Today in March 2015. "I love kids. But that's such a big commitment. And it seems long-term. It seems like a commitment that you have to stick with. And I just don't know if I can -- it's too risky. Like, what if I don't like the kid?" she told Matt Lauer with a laugh. "What if it turns out that it's not as cute as I wanted or as talented? I'm gonna compare it to all these kids that I have on this show that are so smart and so funny. And I'm like, 'You are nowhere near these kids I had on today. Sit down and look at this kid I just had on! Do you know all those presidents?'" (Eonline)

Dakota Johnson's Mother Melanie Griffith Has Finally Seen Part of Fifty Shades of Grey. It's been almost a year since Fifty Shades of Grey hit theaters and Melanie Griffith, mother of its leading lady Dakota Johnson, has finally watched part of the movie. No, not that part. Nope, not that part either. In fact, no parts of any kind were featured in the footage she's seen. The R-rated, BDSM-themed movie is based on the first novel in E.L. James' best-selling erotic trilogy. Fifty Shades of Grey marks Griffith's daughter's major big screen debut and features scenes in which she appears naked and takes part in questionable sexual activities. Griffith, 58, told E! News' Zuri Hall she has seen "a little bit" of the film, adding, "I just can't quite bring myself to watch the love scenes." She made her comments at the Stella McCartney autumn 2016 presentation in Hollywood on Tuesday. Johnson, 26, appears next in the new comedy How to Be Single, which is set for release just before Valentine's Day. "I'm going to see that one," Griffith said. Griffith had told IndieWire in 2014 she has not seen Fifty Shades of Grey and did not think she would. "Would you want to see your child having sex like that? Just regular sex, I couldn't do that. But the 'room of pain' sex? I definitely couldn't do that!" she told reporters at Clive Davis' 2015 Grammys party. Meanwhile, Fifty Shades of Grey has been nominated for six Razzies, which include Worst Actress and Worst Actor nods for Johnson and co-star Jamie Dornan, at the annual Golden Raspberry Awards, which honor the worst in film. Griffith had said at the 2015 Oscars that Johnson is "a really good actress" and that she does not need to watch Fifty Shades of Grey to "know how good she is." Johnson and Dornan, 33, will reprise their roles as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey in the sequel, Fifty Shades Darker, which is set for release in 2017. (Eonline)
NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt spoke publicly on Wednesday about reports of Jimmy Fallon's drinking following the "Tonight Show" host's string of odd injuries over four months. "He doesn't have a drinking problem that any of us know about," Greenblatt said during the Television Critics Association press tour, according to the Hollywood Reporter. "He goes out and has fun, and he's had some accidents," and, "There's been conversations about that, [but] the stories are exaggerated about all of it." (Page Six)
Kate Del Castillo and Sean Penn need to beef up their protection STAT because El Chapo's henchmen are likely to seek revenge for his capture ... according to at least one security expert. Del Castillo's getting credit for setting up Penn's interview with El Chapo, and an ex-member of Kate's security force tells us that's not a good look. The source says drug cartels "act on what they think, not what they know" -- and they could be thinking she and Penn led the marines, even accidentally, to El Chapo. Our source suggests Del Castillo remain on this side of the border for now, since it's much easier for the cartel's goons to take out people in Mexico. There's been no specific threat made against Del Castillo or Penn, but we're told this is the kind of situation where you want to use an abundance of caution. Hindsight's 20/20, but the source says the best move would have been staying away from El Chapo altogether -- "If you play with the rattlesnake enough times, you're gonna get bit." (TMZ)
Chris Pratt Debuts His Diet for the New Year-and it's Pretty Wild. Watch out Abel James! Chris Pratt is giving your Wild Diet a run for its money. The Guardians of the Galaxy 2 actor is well-known for his hunting prowess, and now he's putting all that fresh meat to good use for his 2016 diet. "I'm going to start a diet I called "The Game Plan" where basically I only eat wild game for a year," Pratt explains in an Instagram. "'The Game Plan,' get it? Cause GAME?" "I mean I'll also eat veggies and fruit and other stuff too. But for one year I want to eat only the meats that were caught or killed by me or my friends. Total free range organic wild game! The game plan. Join me." Pratt, 36, is looking fierce in the photo, holding up slice of dark red venison and a sharp knife. "Here I am vacuum packing some deer meat in the kitchen," he says. "I grew up in the woods. Not literally. I mean, we had a house. I wasn't raised by coyotes. "But I spent a lot of time in the woods. Hunting, fishing and being outdoors with my friends and family is how I spent my free time as a young'n." Of course, like many diet plans, Pratt isn't totally set on sticking to it. "I mean I'm gonna still eat eggs and probably chicken and probably steak I mean I gotta have steak and oysters and definitely bacon," he jokes. "But other than that. And the occasional burger for a cheat meal. But other than that only wild game. The game plan." And maybe Pratt wouldn't make the best diet coach. "I should mention I will also have sushi because I have to have sushi because it's so good. And pepperoni. But that's not a meat technically, right?" he asks. "But other than that all wild game. Exclusively wild game. It will be tough. But it's worth the sacrifice. I will be eating turkey for thanksgiving. Probably fried. That's the best. And also ham. For Easter we make lamb. That's great. I'll have to have lamb that day. So... "The Game Plan" Who's with me!?" Hey, if our abs will look as good as Pratt's, we'll do ANYTHING he says. (People)
Last year, the Academy Awards drew criticism for failing to nominate any actors and actresses of color-and this year it's more of the same. The 2016 crop of Oscar nominees is once again solely composed of white actors and actresses, despite the Academy taking steps to addresses diversity. Among the most glaring omissions this year is Straight Outta Compton in the Best Picture category. The film, which follows the rise of hip-hop group N.W.A, was both a commercial and critical success, and earned recognition from groups including the Screen Actors Guild, which nominated the cast for best ensemble award, and a Producers Guild Award for best motion picture. The film did earn a Best Original Screenplay nomination Thursday. Also shut out Thursday were Will Smith for Concussion, Michael B. Jordan in Creed, Idris Elba in Beasts of No Nation, Samuel L. Jackson in The Hateful Eight and Puerto Rican-born Benicio del Toro in Sicario. The Academy has attempted to become more inclusive after the #OscarsSoWhite hashtag trended on Twitter last year. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the group invited a more diverse group of industry notables to join its ranks this past July, including Selma star David Oyelowo, Concussion actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Compton director F. Gary Gray. The group also announced a new initiative, A2020, to further diversify the Academy itself and also encourage the industry to open up more opportunities for women and minorities. (People)
Rudy Giuliani loves movies. If he were a voting academy member, "Spotlight" would get his Oscar nod for best film of the year. And "The Hateful Eight" would get nothing -- because of director Quentin Tarantino calling cops "murderers." "F?-?-?k him. If he were standing here right now I would kick him in the balls," the former mayor says. "I will never see another Quentin Tarantino film. And I like his movies." As for "Spotlight" -- the story of how Boston Globe reporters exposed the cover-up of child molestation within the local archdiocese -- Giuliani told Bill McCuddy of NY1's "Talking Pictures" that "I'm a devout Roman Catholic and that was a hard movie to watch. I spent eight years in Catholic school, four years in high school and another four in Catholic college. And I never saw anything like what happened, but I know it existed." Rudy also said, "I thought 'Black Mass' was great. Halfway through the film I didn't recognize Johnny Depp. If he won, it wouldn't surprise me. But I think Leonardo will win for 'The Revenant.'" And for Best Actress: "I would vote for Saoirse Ronan for 'Brooklyn' because that was my family experience," the former mayor said. "Just the look in her eyes when she came to this country [cinched it for me]." (Page Six)
Mark Cuban says neither Khloe Kardashian nor Lamar Odom ever reported any sort of racist incidents to the team during L.O.'s stint with the Mavs ... despite Khloe's claims that people berated her in Dallas for being in an interracial marriage. (TMZ)
Mark Cuban says he's not calling BS on Khloe's story -- but says, "Anytime I talked to her I asked how things were going, and did she need anything. Never a word. Not from Lamar or anyone." "We would text about trying to help Lamar and not a word. I obviously don't know what she encountered, but I can say that it's not something she ever mentioned to me or anyone in our organization." He added, "We had a psychologist working with Lamar and put together support programs for him. It never came up. I like Khloe. I'm not questioning her, but she never said anything to us." (TMZ)
Mark Zuckerberg's neighbors are ready to unfriend the billionaire Facebook founder ... because his security team is allegedly illegally parked in their hood. A letter is circulating among those in the San Francisco neighborhood where Zuckerberg lives, urging people to report the illegal parking to local authorities. The letter (obtained by Buzzfeed) refers to the billionaire only as "Zuck" and claims that his security team could park in front of his house or in his driveway, but simply doesn't. It goes on to say, "One of the guards mentioned that she agreed that even from a security standpoint, where the cars are parked don't give the best vantage points." The neighbors have allegedly complained to Zuck's security manager, the SFMTA and even local news ... but nothing's changed. Thus far, Zuck has yet to respond. (TMZ)
Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Hilary Rhoda is suing her own mom/former manager for allegedly stealing six figures from her, Page Six has exclusively learned. The mother-daughter legal war also reveals that Hilary's mom disapproves of her new husband, Sean Avery, claiming in a countersuit this week that after leaving the NHL his work was "sporadic" and "prospects for employment were highly speculative." In a case that has never before come to light, Hilary sued Marianne Rhoda in federal court in 2014, claiming her mom "manipulated her familial role to improperly seize -- and then abuse -- enormous power over Hilary's finances." The suit claims Marianne forged Hilary's signature, diverted "substantial funds" for her retirement, refused to provide accounting records and used a company credit card "for hundreds of thousands of dollars" in personal expenses -- including "divorce attorneys," a "pool vendor" and shopping trips to Neiman Marcus, Barneys and someplace called Carpet Palace of Bethesda. The suit further claims Marianne used her daughter's funds as a "personal piggy bank," including a 2009 withdrawal of $1 million plus wire transfers of more than $1.9 million to Marianne's personal account and "vendors .?.?. with no apparent association" to Hilary's modeling work. The papers also allege that when Hilary became engaged to Avery, her mother began "a constant barrage of ad hominem attacks" on him and left Hilary "extremely exasperated." But Marianne's just-filed countersuit denied all the allegations and claimed breach of contract. She says that because of Avery, she was "concerned" for Hilary's financial future, and "Avery prevailed upon [Hilary] to refrain from seeking a prenuptial agreement and embarked on a concerted effort to estrange" her mom. Marianne didn't attend Hilary's October wedding. Avery was arrested in Southampton Village, Long Island, days before the nuptials on criminal mischief charges and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Reps for Hilary and her mom had no comment. (Page Six)

Olympic Gold Medalist Picabo Street Arrested for Assault After Confrontation With Father. Retired Olympic gold medalist Picabo Street has been arrested in Park City, Utah on suspicion of misdemeanor assault and domestic violence in the presence of a child after an alleged physical confrontation with her father, Roland Street, E! News has confirmed. The incident reportedly took place at her home in late December. The 44-year-old alpine ski racer has pleaded not guilty to the charges, while no charges had been filed against her dad as of Wednesday, The Salt Lake City Tribune reported. The Summit County sheriff's office released a mug shot of Picabo. According to the arrest affidavit, Roland, 76, says he was attempting to leave Picabo's home and "bumped his car into the house" in the process, which angered Picabo, who started to yell at him. He said the two re-entered the house and that their confrontation turned physical. He said Picabo grabbed his neck and shoulder and then pushed him down two flights of stairs, where he may have hit his head. Investigators say Roland, 76, suffered cuts on his elbow and neck. Picabo told police she pushed her father down the stairs and locked him in the basement before she called the authorities and added that her father pulled her hair. Both individuals said the fight happened in the presence of Picabo's three children, the affidavit states. Picabo, who won a gold medal at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics and last competed in the 2002 Winter Olympics near Salt Lake City, was charged with one count of assault and three counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, which are all misdemeanors, the outlets reported. Each charge is punishable by a maximum of six months in jail, The Salt Lake City Tribune said. "We haven't met with Ms. Street's attorneys yet, so as far as any resolution to the case there hasn't been any discussions but we are prepared to offer a plea deal at the next scheduled court hearing," Prosecutor Ivy Telles tells E! News. She and her father have not commented. Picabo is due in court on Feb. 16. (Eonline)
Ricardo Medina Jr. -- one of the stars of "Power Rangers Samurai" -- has been arrested for the 2nd time in the murder of his roommate, but this time he's been charged for the crime. David Bowie Reportedly 'Secretly Cremated' In New York. It's been a few days since the passing of David Bowie, but the news hasn't gotten easier to swallow. According to news reports, the Blackstar singer was cremated in New York soon after his death on Sunday, per his wishes. A source explained the 69-year-old "has been secretly cremated in America without friends or family present." There will also be no funeral. David supposedly made his plans clear to his wife, Iman, and the rest of his family, as he wanted to go "without any fuss." So sad! But the icon's music will most certainly live on. Another insider shared: "In many respects you don't need a memorial or service to remember David by... you have his music instead. He would have wanted to just disappear with no fuss, no big show, no fan-fare. This would totally be his style... His last album Blackstar was very much his goodbye to fans instead." (Perez Hilton)
