Improved Texas Canyon Rest Area on Interstate 10 to reopen Thursday

The newly renovated Interstate 10 rest area at Texas Canyon in Cochise County will reopen Thursday (June 30) at noon.

The rest area, located on I-10 between Benson and Willcox at milepost 320, has been closed since December 1, 2015 to allow the Arizona Department of Transportation to improve the restrooms, water systems and ramadas and pave the parking lots on both the eastbound and westbound rest areas.

The renovation is part of ADOT’s effort to upgrade rest areas throughout the state.

ADOT appreciates the patience of motorists during this closure and is pleased to reopen the improved facilities in scenic Texas Canyon.
