Sign replacement work underway in Winkelman

New street signs are coming to the town of Winkelman with the start of an Arizona Department of Transportation project in the Gila County community.

Work began recently to replace signs, including street name signs and regulatory signs such as speed limit signs and stop signs that have become faded over time.

The $950,000 project will not have a significant effect on traffic in the community.

Crews will work to replace signs on weekdays during daylight hours. The work is scheduled to be complete in mid-August 2016.

For more information about this project, please call C.T. Revere, ADOT Senior Community Relations Officer, at 1.520.705.3574 or email at crevere@azdot.gov.
