Blake Shelton: My Relationship With Gwen Stefani Didn't Start as Suddenly as It Seemed. Sometimes the greatest love can blossom out of heartbreak. A year has passed since Blake Shelton announced his divorce from Miranda Lambert, and the star is now opening up about rediscovering happiness with Voice co-star Gwen Stefani. In a new interview with Billboard, Shelton reveals that he and Stefani found solace in each other as they both endured gut-wrenching breakups. In fact, the 40-year-old still remembers the moment he told Stefani, then just an acquaintance, about his impending divorce. "I won't forget that day," he says. "I looked over at Gwen -- who I didn't really know -- and she had these huge tears in her eyes." Shelton expected Stefani would launch into a cliche pep talk, but instead, she took the opportunity to come clean herself. "I thought it was going to be another one of those 'things are going to be OK' talks," he says of Stefani, his fellow coach on NBC's The Voice. Instead, "She said, 'I'm going through something very similar to what you're going through. I understand. And I hate it.'" At the time, Stefani was only weeks from announcing her own divorce from Gavin Rossdale, her husband of well over a decade. "That's kind of how our friendship and bond started, that day," Shelton says. "It went from that, to checking in on each other once a week through email -- 'This s--t happened to me, what happened to you?' -- to maybe three times a week, then every day, to 'Hey, here's my phone number if you ever want to text.' Next thing I know, I wake up and she's all I care about, and I'm wondering if she feels the same about me." Shelton readily admits that despite all the good that's come of it, his divorce was a very low point in life. He turned to music to help cope. "When you have a broken heart -- at least, when I do -- you got to get it out of your system," Shelton says. "You want people to sympathize with you. I was at rock bottom, in the middle of hell." But time does heal wounds, and Shelton credits Stefani for pulling him out of such a dark place. "Gwen saved my life," he says. "Who else on earth could understand going through a high-profile divorce from another musician?" Shelton will return to the show that landed him love when the 11th season of The Voice premieres Sept. 19. (Eonline)

Jason Priestley thinks his Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Shannen Doherty is "incredibly brave" for publicly sharing her battle with cancer. "What she did the other day, shaving her head and posting the pictures and everything, that was incredibly brave," Priestly told Entertainment Tonight at the Raising The Bar to End Parkinson's fundraiser benefiting the Michael J. Fox Foundation at Laurel Point in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Doherty announced her diagnosis with breast cancer last year, and recently shared an emotional series of photos of shaving her head. Although Priestley says that he hasn't been in touch with his former costar directly, he's been following her journey on social media, where she is candid about her cancer battle. The 46-year-old actor praises the way that Doherty, 45, has been using her fame to "shine a light and help other people." Priestly is confident that the actress will "come through this fight" thanks to her determined nature. "Shannen's a strong kid and a tough fighter and I know that she's gonna come through this fight and she's gonna be okay," he said. Actress Tiffani Thiessen, who replaced Doherty on the popular drama and was also at the fundraiser, told ET that although she never worked with her, "I wish her all the best, of course." Another of Doherty's former costars, Ian Ziering told E! recently that he has reached out to Doherty to wish her well. "I told her that I'm sure she'll do fine," Ziering said. "If she can handle the Hollywood Foreign Press, cancer's not really going to be a problem. (People)

He's dating a supermodel and has scores of adoring fans, but Zayn Malik admits he still struggles with self-confidence. "I just don't have it in me to feel fully secure in anything I do. I always strive towards something better," Malik tells Elle UK for its September cover story, available Aug. 3. "It's why I think sometimes I come across the wrong way, a bit distant." Malik, 23, stunned fans in March of last year when he announced he was quitting One Direction-the boy band that rocketed him into superstardom. He has since launched a solo career and hints that he has no regrets about his bombshell decision. "At that time in my life I felt I had done everything I could do there and I just needed to change it up," he says. "It didn't feel brave." At the time of his exit, Malik said he was seeking some "private time out of the spotlight," and in the new interview admits that the glare of fame can be a strain. "I'm just stressed out trying to control how I'm perceived. I think about things a lot" he admits. The candid comments come six weeks after Malik cancelled a show at London's Capital Summertime Ball due to anxiety. He wrote on social media at the time that the "anxiety that has haunted me throughout the last few months around live performances has gotten the better of me" and that "with the magnitude of the event, I have suffered the worst anxiety of my career." Girlfriend Gigi Hadid swiftly showed her support for her beau on social media, praising his "bravery." In the new interview, Malik left little doubt about his feelings toward his on-again love, opening up about their bond. "She's super intelligent, I think that's why it works so well," he says. "And we do the same type of job so we get that with each other." He also gets personal about the other ladies of his life-his mom and three sisters-and how they make sure fame doesn't go to his head. "I enjoyed the womanly influence. I have a lot of respect for women because of them. They are so strong, powerful and do everything themselves," he said. "When I go back to Bradford they treat me exactly the same. It's why I only ever go back for a few days, otherwise they have me taking out the bins." (People)

Lindsay Lohan's Father 'Heartbroken' Over 'Frantic' Daughter Following Alleged Altercation With Fiance! It's safe to say that Lindsay Lohan and fiance Egor Tarabasov have a bit of a strained relationship at the moment after the Mean Girls star accused her man of cheating! Well after things blew up to where cops were called, Egor moved out and those pregnancy rumors were seemingly confirmed by the red head's dad, Michael Lohan. We've got more news on the Hurricane Lindsay Lohans as Michael opened up to PEOPLE about the alleged abuse saying: "I'm heartbroken for her. She was on the phone with me when she was going through it. She was frantic, she was in a bad position and I wanted to get her to a safe place and get her help." The actress' father continued by talking a bit about the difficulties of trying to help his daughter: "The hardest part, the most frustrating part is not being able to be there. Thank god she has a great support system and she was able to get out of there." As for what Michael thought of Tarabasov when they met, well he said: "He was a gentlemen, I thought he was good for her. He didn't drink or show any signs of instability. I don't know where it turned but maybe he put on his best face for me when he met me." The 30-year-old's daddy also opened up about his daughter being preggers -- despite a close friend of Lindsay's telling PEOPLE otherwise -- and possibly calling off her engagement: "She texted me and said [she was pregnant]. I'm going to believe what she says. I don't think she'd be that quick to call it off, especially if she was pregnant." The proud papa even opened up about keeping in contact with his daughter saying: "I just texted her today and said 'How are you sweetheart' and she said 'I'm okay Dad.' She needs time for herself right now. I spoke to her a number of times and not once over all those days I've spoken to her did she ever sound like she was drinking and incoherent in any way. I'm really proud she didn't take that course." But where is Linds now?! Well another source opened up to the publication saying: "She is still upset about what transpired between her and Egor. She is taking a few days off to spend time with friends and let things cool off between the two of them." The good news is the insider said the couple could get back together and: "Ultimately, she hopes with time they can move on and move forward again. She recognizes the good place they were in for much of the last year and just wants to get back there again. They are still engaged and only time will tell what happens next." Regardless of what happens, we just hope that everyone can end up happy and healthy! (Perez Hilton)

The bad blood continues. Kanye West crashed Drake's concert in Chicago on Wednesday, July 27, and used the opportunity to address his and wife Kim Kardashian's recent drama with Taylor Swift. "All I gotta say is, I am so glad my wife has Snapchat," the rapper, 39, told the crowd at the United Center. "Because now y'all can know the truth. And can't nobody talk s--t about 'Ye no more." The Snapchat line was of course a reference to Kardashian releasing footage of West's phone conversation with Swift, 26, over his song "Famous "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous." In the clips, West reads a version of the line, "For all my Southside n---as that know me best, I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex." She tells him she appreciates the heads-up and describes it as a "compliment, kind of." The "Wildest Dreams" singer, for her part, maintains that she never approved the line that actually made it into the song. In a statement on Instagram after Kardashian, 35, Snapchatted her call with West, Swift wrote, "Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me 'that bitch' in his song? It doesn't exist because it never happened.'" She went on to say that she "wanted to like the song" and "have a friendly relationship" with West after their previous feud, when he crashed her MTV VMAs acceptance speech in 2009. "While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot 'approve' a song you haven't heard," she wrote. "Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination." (US Weekly)

Dr. Dre just emerged victorious in the showdown with that guy who accused him of pulling a gun ... TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell us the L.A. County District Attorney has already rejected the case for insufficient evidence. As we first reported ... cops say they found NO gun on Dre after searching him Monday at his Malibu mansion. Our sources close to Dre weren't the least bit surprised by the D.A.'s decision since the whole case was "ridiculous." TMZ broke the story, a motorist who was blocking Dre's driveway off PCH insisted on making a citizen's arrest, claiming Dre pulled the weapon during a verbal dispute. With the D.A.'s decision, this guy can officially ... forget about Dre. (TMZ)

Hilary Duff could get a marriage proposal any day now, but it's coming from a scary individual who is driving all over town searching for her. We've learned Bev Hills police already reached out to Hilary's people to warn them about the man. Law enforcement sources say the ordeal started earlier this month when he hired a limo driver. We're told he was carrying a photo of a crib he said Hilary owned, but did not have her address. He proceeded to have his driver search aimlessly for 2 hours while he spoke about his intent to marry Hilary. When the ride ended, we're told the driver was so concerned he called cops, who then contacted Duff's team. Sources close to Hilary say her security team knows who the man is and what he looks like. They've had issues with him in the past, but we're told Hilary hasn't filed a police report or sought a restraining order ... yet. For now, we're told she's adding more manpower to her security detail -- and the guards at her gated community are also on alert. (TMZ)

It looks like Amber Heard's going to have to testify under oath pretty soon. On Tuesday, Johnny Depp's legal team held an emergency hearing, where they convinced a judge to set a date to depose the actor's ex. According to court papers, the judge ruled that the blonde will face questions from her estranged husband's attorneys on August 6, regarding her request for a permanent from her former flame. The 30-year-old wanted the legal protection after filing for divorce from the A-lister, and alleging that he had physically abused her throughout their time together. The 53-year-old's team had tried to depose the actress last month, but a judge denied the request because his lawyers didn't give Miz Heard enough notice. Plus, their June hearing ended up being postponed. We're curious to see how the deposition goes during this next stage in their messy split. (Perez Hilton)

Ryan O'Neal's son Griffin is so broke, he created a GoFundMe account to raise $2,000 to pay for surgery on his Chihuahua Chilly Dog. Griffin, 51, who acted in 10 movies before he retired, said the overweight, 10-year-old pet "jumped off of the bed wrong and busted the cruciate ligament in his left knee." So, far, 17 donations totaling $1,235 have come in. Griffin, brother of Tatum O'Neal and a father of four, couldn't ask his wealthy dad for funds. His mom was actress Joanna Moore. In 2009, he went on CNN and said Ryan had once pointed a gun at his face, cheated regularly on Farrah Fawcett, and did drugs with Griffin's half-brother Redmond. Redmond was released from jail so he could attend Fawcett's funeral in 2009, and the drug addict was sentenced last year to three years in prison for violating parole, his fourth charge of parole violation. Redmond was left $4.5 million by Fawcett, while Ryan was left nothing. Asked if Redmond and Ryan are close, Griffin told CNN: "They are probably going to get a lot closer now, since Redmond has all the money." (Page Six)

The company behind Scrub Daddy -- the most successful product ever pitched on "Shark Tank" -- is accusing a man of tricking customers with a knockoff sponge. Scrub Daddy says Brian Reaux's attempt to push "Scrub 'N EZ" will confuse faithful Scrub Daddy customers because of the similar name and use of a smiley face ... this according to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ. In the docs, Scrub Daddy also has beef with Reaux marketing his sponge holder as fitting "perfectly in Scrub Daddy [sponges]." SD has reportedly generated more than $75 mil since striking a deal with Lori Greiner on the show. The company wants "Scrub 'N EZ" to change its name, and quit using Scrub Daddy in advertising. Julieanna "YesJulz" Goddard, was just named "Snapchat Royalty" in June by the New York Times, and this month she was being extorted by a model. This is the kind of odd things that happens when you're famous, right? Unfortunately, it happens all too frequently. Miami Beach police that Hencha Voigt, a popular model on Instagram, threatened to leak sexually explicit images of social-media star unless she gave her $18,000. Police arrested Voigt on charges of extortion, along with a man named Wesley Victor. The two contacted YesJulz last week, saying they had hacked into her cellphone and stole images, according to the Miami Herald. The police report states that Voigt even sent "a few pictures and videos as proof." YesJulz received a text message from Victor saying, "18K cash there (sic) on usb you can have them back as I said you dope chick. I like your movement look if I feel any (sic) business game over your choice." That's when YesJulz complied and agreed on a time and place for the meeting. One thing they Voigt and Victor didn't see coming: Miami Beach Police. Cops say they found the pair in a car at the meeting location. That's when Voigt was "seen attempting to conceal a cell phone by sitting on it," according to police. Once they searched the car, they found a phone that the police identified as the one used to extort YesJulz. The Huffington Post called YesJulz "the Queen of Snapchat" and Ryan Seacrest named her as one of the people to follow on the popular social media platform. She got her start after promoting events for South Beach clubs such as LIV and Story. But now, she's jet-setting around the world hosting parties with the biggest rappers and athletes. She recently landed a marketing deal with Puma and Red Bull, along with Kylie Jenner. Her publicist told the New York Times that YesJulz has 300,000 viewers on Snapchat. He included the pic in the lawsuit -- Joe and Teresa looked so young and innocent. Of course, Joe is 4 months into a 41-month prison stint for conspiracy to commit wire and bankruptcy fraud. (TMZ)

THE OTHER STUFF . . .

The building where Oprah Winfrey gave away hundreds of cars, and Tom Cruise famously leaped on the couch is a big pile of dust now, and from its ashes ... Big Macs will rise. Harpo Studios in Chicago was demolished this week as O shifts her OWN operation to Los Angeles. McDonald's is reportedly moving in on the old site to build its new headquarters. She spent 25 years shooting 'Oprah' in that building. Good times. Even if you had to pay taxes on one of those gifted cars in 2004. (TMZ)

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher Bought Wedding Rings on Etsy for $190. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher can't put a price on love. That said, neither actor was willing to spend a fortune on their wedding bands, either. When the Bad Moms actress appeared on TBS' Conan Wednesday, Conan O'Brien praised her subtle bling. "It's not showy," the host told Mila. "It's not, like, incredibly flashy, which I think is cool." Mila thanked him and, to her own surprise, decided to share some details. "I can't believe that I'm telling anybody this story. So, my husband and I got married a little while ago. He got me a beautiful engagement ring. Like, stunning, stunning, stunning!" the 32-year-old actress gushed. "But for our wedding bands -- for when we got married -- I decided to just get them off of Etsy." Conan was impressed by her low-key approach. "Now, listen: I've been talking to you for years and I've always loved the fact that you're frugal," he told her. "You're very up front about that." Mila joked, "That's a nice way of saying 'cheap,' but yes." When she was browsing Etsy, Mila explained, "I wanted the thinnest possible platinum band. I mean, you can't see it, but it's super, super thin." While the camera zoomed in on her ring, she recalled being appalled at the price of Tiffany and Co. wedding bands. "I was like, 'They're how much? This is astronomical," the actress said. "So, I went on Etsy and I was like, '$90?' I was like, 'Buy now!' Ashton's was $100, so technically his wedding band was a little bit more expensive." Purchasing a cheaper band was "not a big deal," Mila added. "My engagement ring is beautiful, but I don't ever wear it. This ring, I'm like, 'It's $90!' It's great. That person on Etsy had no clue whose ring they were making, but they were wonderful and very nice and polite and generous." During their conversation, Conan also asked Mila about her second pregnancy. "I feel really good," she said. "With the first one, there were these apps where you could check daily to see the size of your baby based on fruit. So, 'Oh, today my baby's the size of guava,' or a banana, or avocado.' And I did it, like, every day. I couldn't even tell you how far along I am right now. I'm like, 'I don't know. A couple months?' I genuinely don't know how far along I am. I'm like, 'Somewhere between this and that.' With the first one, I would tell you the exact [date]. I mean, like, literally to the T what was happening, the formation of the eyes, the tail's no longer there. Like, whatever it was. [Now] I have no clue what's happening with my baby." Mila then shared an update on her 21-month-old daughter, Wyatt Kutcher. "She's really funny and incredibly bossy," the actress said. "It's weird because they're just kind of developing their language skills and she somehow mastered, 'Sit here now.' So, it'll be like, 'Sit! Here! Now!' I'll be like, 'Oh, my God! My child's like a little baby Nazi.' And then she grabs your hand. If you don't want to do it, she doesn't care. She just pulls you down to the floor." Needless to say, Mila told Conan, "She's very strong-willed." (Eonline)

Jimmy Kimmel Owes The Bachelorette's Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth $1,000. It's time to pay up, Jimmy Kimmel! One year ago, The Bachelorette contestants Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to go public with their engagement after the season finale aired. Debatably the most diehard The Bachelor/The Bachelorette fan around, Kimmel made them swear on a stack of magazines that they would stay together for at least a year -- or else they had to pay him $1,000. Booth, who is still engaged to Bristowe, took to Instagram Wednesday to remind Kimmel of his wager. Sharing the clip of the episode in which Kimmel made them swear, Booth added in the caption, "Double or nothing, @JimmyKimmel?" "Look into this camera right here and repeat after me," Kimmel instructed the reality TV stars. "We, Kaitlyn and Shawn B., do solemnly swear that we are in love, that we will get married or we will at least be together one year from today," the two recited. "Because if we're not, this was a huge waste of everyone's time," Kimmel continued, telling them what to say while they cracked up at the words in the pact. "Because if we're not, this was a huge waste of everybody's time, including ourselves," they wrapped up. "If we are not still in a committed relationship on July 27, 2016, we will pay Jimmy Kimmel $1,000." Fair is fair, Kimmel! It looks like you owe this couple that money. As for when they're actually going to tie the knot, well, fans might have to wait awhile. "The pressure doesn't get to us at all," Booth previously told People. "We only knew each other for ten weeks before I proposed. We're both normal people and the most normal thing we can do is wait." "We're living together, we're enjoying being engaged," Bristowe added. "When we start to plan, we'll let everybody know!" Perhaps they can put Kimmel's money toward the reception LOL. (Eonline)

A lot has happened since we left the Biermann household in season 4 of Don't Be Tardy. Kim Zolciak-Biermann was a contestant on Stars until she suffered a mini stroke and underwent heart surgery. She's since recovered, returned to the ballroom and, according to PEOPLE's exclusive season 5 super tease, her life is back to its hilariously chaotic ways. The mom of six and wife to NFL star Kroy Biermann is finally launching her "dream" project-a skincare line called Kashmere. This season shows the behind-the-scenes process of developing it and the hard decisions she faces, like deciding between going with a "lemony, clean scent" or a "stripper scent." As for her hubby, he's in between football seasons and under the mercy of another NFL draft, while daughters Brielle and Ariana debate their preferred cities. Brielle is game for moving to California or Florida, but Ariana is less enthusiastic: "Do you know how many old people live in Tampa?" In the meantime the crew goes back to Kroy's roots visiting his hometown in Montana. And while Kim's signature song "Don't Be Tardy" may have started out with country roots, she's not such a country girl at heart saying, "If they don't get a Starbucks here, we're not coming back." Back home in Atlanta, there are pigs running loose in the house, Chef Tracey Bloom causing a stir in the kitchen and lots of the family's lovable commotion. As one of her sons puts it: "There's too much chaos in your house, mother!" But it's all not quite enough for Kim, who's trying to convince Kroy to try for another baby. "We have six kids," he says, "you want another one?" Don't Be Tardy returns Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. (People)

Actors Susan Sarandon, Danny Glover and Rosario Dawson are protesting what they see as slights against Bernie Sanders supporters at the Democratic convention in Philadelphia. At a brief press conference Wednesday evening, Sarandon said convention organizers scuttled planned remarks from prominent Sanders surrogate Nina Turner. Turner is a former state senator from Ohio who hoped to announce Sanders' nomination Tuesday night even if rival Hillary Clinton had the votes to win. Sarandon said convention organizers are making it difficult to carry out "the will of Bernie Sanders' people." (Page Six)

Most might recognize Ansel Elgort from his teen heartthrob status-making turn in The Fault in Our Stars or the Divergent series-but he's actually a respected music producer, too. Earlier this month, the crossover star released his new electronic single, "Home Alone." And while it's the first song he's released under his given name, he's actually been recording music and playing EDM festivals including Electric Zoo under the pseudonym "Ansolo" for a couple years. "I really respect the dance music industry. I didn't want to come in and abuse the fact I was an actor and use my name to book gigs," Elgort, 22, tells PEOPLE. "I'm not getting into music because I need to-I have a bunch of movies coming out. I just do this because I love it." As "Ansolo," Elgort will continue to produce dance and club music. But as Ansel Elgort, he'll produce the tracks, in addition to singing on them. And while he recently signed with Island Records, the label team didn't actually know he could sing! "I went in to play them some new records, and because they signed me as 'Ansolo,' they were expecting club music," he says of a recent meeting. "I played them a few demos of me singing, and they were like, 'Wow, the voice is really cool. Who is it?' I was like, 'It's me!'" As for putting his own name on his new music, Elgort simply sees it as a natural evolution. "I feel like it's not even a transition; it's just a growth in my life as an artist," he says. "Recently I decided I wanted to try and produce my own songs and write a song. And when I did that, I realized, 'Oh, this could be really fun and really creative and really open.'" Elgort says he appreciates the creative freedom music offers. "As an actor, you can only really work when you're on set and the right movie comes along," he explains. "As a musician, I can make a piece of music any day, and anything can happen that day, and it's all me." And while he knows some might question his motives for making music, he doesn't care. "I think there's always gonna be some sort of stigma, because for whatever reason, society likes to say, 'He's an actor, so that's what he does, and he's not allowed to venture outside of that,'" says Elgort. "But I just wanted to make something I loved and put it out. I don't want the peak of my career to be when I was 19 years old and in that one movie." Adds the star: "I'm very proud of my past and really happy with how everything's going, but I think it's only the beginning." "Home Alone" is available to stream for free on SoundCloud and now available for purchase on iTunes. (People)

Kesha Addresses Dr. Luke Lawsuit During Show, 'It's F---ing Horrible'. Kesha has been relatively quiet about her lawsuit against former mentor/producer Dr. Luke recently, but during a show in Philadelphia on Tuesday night, the singer opened up a bit about the toll the legal battle has taken on her. "I feel like if you're a human being, you go through pain," she said during the show in support of Gabby Giffords' Americas for Responsible Solutions PAC group. "And you go through hurt. And every single one of us knows that emotion. I don't know if you guys know what I am going through. I'm going through a lawsuit. It's f---ing horrible." The show for the group started by the former Congresswoman who was the victim of an attempted assassination in 2011, also featured Kesha, 29, weighing in on the nation's struggle with deadly gun violence. As reported by the Huffington Post, the singer said that though we as a nation can't control who feels hurt and pain and what they're going to do with that anguish, "we can control who we give the f---ing weapons to... I think the universe is screaming at us that there needs to be a change and we have to f---ing listen... I do think love is something as humans we all have and I hope heals us. I really believe that love and empathy, it can heal us." Kesha recently announced that she's going on a summer tour and planning to play songs "you've never heard me play before, and songs I may never play again." Kesha is battling against Luke (born Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald), over allegations that he drugged and raped her and psychologically abused her from the time she moved to Los Angeles in 2005 to pursue a music career through her breakthrough five years later; Luke has denied the charges. Adele Invites Drag Impersonator on Stage. What's better than Adele? Two Adeles, of course. That's exactly what Seattle fans got -- for a few moments, at least -- when the British artist's tour paused at the KeyArena. Adele noticed a lookalike in the crowd, the local drag artist Kristie Champagne (real name Kristopher Zello), and motioned for her to step up to the stage. "You look so amazing, oh my gosh," Adele said to Champagne, who was wearing a hand-made, floor-length, dark sequined gown, similar to the singer's garb on the night. "I really love that dress," Adele noted as the pair had a cuddle. Champagne told her hero that "you seriously changed my life for the better," and explained that she impersonates the singer twice each week at Julia's in Seattle. Champagne later tweeted of the experience, "Dreams do come true." (Billboard)

Slash Surprises 'School Of Rock' Cast. The kid band at the heart of the Broadway musical School of Rock got a surprise guest during rehearsal - Guns N' Roses star Slash. The guitarist made a surprise appearance Friday while the pre-teen band was practicing the Guns N' Roses song "Sweet Child O' Mine." He then joined in with young guitarist Brandon Niederauer, who seemed delighted. Singer Bobbi MacKenzie didn't notice the musician until after the song, covering her mouth in surprise. After shaking hands with the kids, Slash joined them on "Paradise City." The musical stays close to the plot of the Jack Black-led 2003 film, in which a wannabe rocker enlists his fifth-graders to form a rock group and conquer the Battle of the Bands. (Billboard)

Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks Finally Reunite Onscreen in Ithaca Trailer. No matter how brief this reunion is in the trailer, a (fantastic) reunion it still is. Meg Ryan makes her directorial debut with the World War II film, Ithaca, and in it she and Tom Hanks will be playing the parents of 14-year old Homer (Alex Neustaedter) who becomes a telegraph messenger during the war while his brother (Jack Quaid) fights abroad. Meg and Tom's onscreen reunion is brief -- a mere heartwarming glance at each other -- but it's enough to give us all the same feels they gave us in You've Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle. If the plot alone won't make you tear up, the thought of these two acting in love again absolutely will. Of course, the trailer features plenty of footage to get the waterworks flowing, from Homer having to read a telegraph to an older woman saying her son was killed in the war to Ryan's character telling Homer that there will always "be pain in this world." Ithaca is based on William Saroyan's 1943 novel The Human Comedy. Meg opened up to Entertainment Weekly and said Hanks was "just so dear" during his short time on the film (it took him one day to film his scenes). "He so did not have to do that," she told the magazine. "At the end of his time, he says to the crew, 'All right, gather 'round. Listen, I know we've gotten to know each other very well over the last 10 hours together, but I just want to thank you for being here for my friend Meg.'" She added, "It was such an act of friendship. I love him so much." Ithaca will be released in September and also stars Sam Shepard and Hamish Linklater. Are you looking forward to Ithaca? (Eonline)

We Can't Wait to See Natalie Portman Play Jacqueline Kennedy: How the Late Style Icon's Legacy Lives On. It has been 22 years since Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis passed away, but she has lived on in the public eye as a champion of goodwill and an unforgettable fashion icon. To honor the late first lady turned book editor, society matron and trendsetter for the ages, we wanted to share why we are excited to see the upcoming big-screen biopic, Jackie -- one of many TV and movie treatments featuring JFK's famous wife. First of all, we can't wait to see Natalie Portman play Jackie in the movie, which follows the days immediately following President John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963. A seven-minute promo screened at Cannes and reportedly had potential distributors swarming for a shot at acquiring the film. From the pressed red suit to the classic hair flip, to those signature Jackie Kennedy pearls, it looks as if the movie's hair, makeup and costume team are set to do the queen of Camelot justice. A number of actresses have put on the pillbox hat before, including Katie Holmes, Ginnifer Goodwin and Roma Downey, but something tells us Oscar winner Portman's may be one of the most engrossing portrayals yet. Channeling Jackie's poised, yet strong and determined disposition seems like a perfect fit for the Black Swan star. And while Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (nee Bouvier) is remembered for her commitment to her family and country, as well as for her elegance, grace and style, we can't speak of her and not talk about the fashion. Take a look at how she has inspired the fashion choices of some of the most enigmatic and inspirational stars around. (Eonline)

'Annabelle' Director to Helm 'Wish Upon' for Broad Green. The horror thriller script was on the 2015 Black List. Annabelle director John Leonetti has signed on to direct Wish Upon, a horror thriller for Broad Green Pictures. The script, which was on the 2015 Black List, was written by Barbara Marshall (The Listener) and will be produced by Busted Shark Production's Sherryl Clark. The story follows 16-year-old misfit Claire who finds a magic box that promises a chance at the life she's always wanted. But she never could have guessed that each wish would demand a deadly payment. The movie is slated to begin production in the fall. "We are thrilled that John has come onboard to direct Wish Upon," said Broad Green Pictures' Chief Creative Officer Daniel Hammond. "His impeccable eye towards realism and talent for catching audiences off-guard will, without a doubt, make this film unforgettable." Before helming 2014 horror hit Annabelle, Leonetti served as director of photography on Insidious and Insidious: Chapter 2. He also helmed New Line's horror film The Wolves at the Door. He's repped by CAA. (Hollywood Reporter)

James McAvoy Plays Kidnapper With Multiple Personalities in M. Night Shyamalan's 'Split'. The film is set to hit theaters early next year. The first trailer for Universal's upcoming horror movie Split reveals that James McAvoy plays a creepy kidnapper with multiple personalities in the M. Night Shyamalan-written and -directed film. The preview begins with three girls being kidnapped and taken to a lair, where McAvoy's character tells them, "I was sent to get you for a reason." Things then take a twist, though, as the girls' captor returns, wearing women's clothes, telling them, "Don't worry. He's not allowed to touch you. He knows what you're here for. He listens to me." McAvoy's Kevin, who is later diagnosed as having "23 identities" within him, next appears as a 9-year-old named Hedwig, he claims. He later tells the girls a "beast" is coming for them and insists the creature is real. Split is being produced by Shyamalan, Marc Bienstock and Jason Blum through his Blumhouse banner. The supernatural suspense thriller co-stars Anya Taylor Joy, Betty Buckley, Jessica Sula and Haley Lu Richardson and is set to hit theaters on Jan. 20, 2017. (Hollywood Reporter)

'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' Franchise Rebooting With New Cast. Jason Ian Drucker and Owen Asztalos have been cast as the young leads in the film, which will be directed by David Bowers. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid franchise is ready to open to a new page. The Fox and Color Force film franchise based on the popular book series is rebooting with two new young stars: Jason Ian Drucker and Owen Asztalos. David Bowers, who helmed 2011's Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules and 2012's Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, is returning to direct the new film based on the book Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid film franchise, based on Jeff Kinney's series of books, launched in 2010 with the first film earning $75.7 million worldwide. Three films have been released (all by Fox and Color Force), for a global tally of $225.2 million. Zachary Gordon starred as the main character Greg Heffley in the first three films, but is not returning for the next project. Drucker will star in the new film as Greg while Asztalos will play his best friend Rowley. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul follows Greg Heffley as he convinces his family to embark on a summer road trip to attend Meemaw's 90th birthday -- so he can secretly attend what he thinks is a nearby gamer convention. But the diversion takes them wildly off course, and Greg must figure out how to get his family back on track. Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson are producing via their Color Force banner. Kinney's popular book series, started in 2007, centers on Greg Heffley, a middle school student who shares his trials and tribulations in the form of a journal (including illustrations and hand-written notes). To date, there are ten books that have been released, and there are more than 164 million copies of the Wimpy Kid books in print. The 10th book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School, sold more than 1 million copies in its first week. An 11th book, Double Down, is scheduled for release in November. Bowers previously directed 2009's Astro Boy. He's repped by Verve, Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment and Newhouse/Porter/Hubbard. Drucker starred in Nickelodeon's series Every Witch Way and was most recently seen in the film Barely Lethal with Hailee Steinfeld. He's repped by Stellar Talent, Coast to Coast and Myman Abel. Asztalos appears in Jim Jarmusch's Paterson, which stars Adam Driver and debuted in Cannes in May. He's repped by Innovative Artists, Au Management and Emkey Law Firm. (Hollywood Reporter)

Bradley Cooper's appearance at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday night has irked some conservative fans of the actor's portrayal of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle in 2014's "American Sniper." Cooper was spotted by TV cameras seated at the meeting in Philadelphia alongside his Russian model girlfriend, Irina Shayk. Some Twitter users say they plan to boycott Cooper's future films over his presence at the convention. Another commented that they thought his experience playing Kyle would have rubbed off on him. The complaints have been mocked by others who say Cooper was simply acting a role when playing Kyle and conservatives shouldn't be surprised. Cooper earned an Oscar nod for "American Sniper," which became a blockbuster thanks in part to an enthusiastic reception among conservative moviegoers. (Page Six)

Cara Delevingne drop the mic when she goes up against James Corden AND Dave Franco in James' Late Late Show skit, Drop The Mic. At first, we won't lie, you might cringe but everyone warms up and the disses get funnier. Dave Franco and Cara Delevingne both rip James Corden to shreds - even describing him as a fat Mr Bean. Way harsh, Tai. Cara definitely has a 'drop the mic' moment when she says to both of the guys: "I've hooked up with hotter girls than you!" (British Glamour)

'Bloodline' Season 3 to Remain in Florida. Despite the lack of tax credits in the Sunshine State, Netflix content chief Ted Sarandos tells THR the Kyle Chandler drama will continue to film in the Florida Keys. Bloodline is staying put in Florida. The Netflix series starring Kyle Chandler, which was recently renewed for a third season, will continue to film in the Florida Keys. The Sunshine State has been home to the twisted family drama for its past two seasons on the air, but the loss of the state's tax incentives program raised questions about relocating to a less expensive location. But at the Television Critics Association press tour on Wednesday, Netflix content chief Ted Sarandos confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the Sony Pictures Television-produced series would keep production in Florida. "Yeah, for sure," he said when asked if the upcoming season of the drama would film in the Keys. "It's an iconic location. The one thing that's cool about Netflix shows is that those locations are characters. In the Hell's Kitchen shows like Daredevil, Hell's Kitchen is a character -- we can't fake it in Canada. So tax credits are a nice offset but if it doesn't fit the creative, we're not going to chase it." Bloodline cast and crew, who were uncertain of the drama's future for months, had even taken measures themselves to keep the show local. Script supervisor Kathryn Waters wrote a Facebook post in January imploring business owners in the Keys to email a "Friends of Bloodline" Gmail address about the impact of the show on the local community in an effort to lobby lawmakers to replenish the state's tax incentives. (According to a film impact study, the series helped create more than $91 million in economic output by way of production spending and tourism in its first season.) "If new money is not made available, it is doubtful that Bloodline will have a season three," Waters wrote at the time. The drama created by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler will be back for another round of 10 episodes in 2017. (Hollywood Reporter)

Caroline Manzo will be facing some tough times in season 3 of Manzo'd With Children. In the show's new trailer, which was released by Bravo on Thursday, July 28, the Real Housewives of New Jersey alum tells her family that she found a lump in her breast. The mom of three, 54, first detects it at home and shows her husband, Albert Manzo. "Put your hand here, tell me if you feel anything," she says. "It's been hurting." "You know, I'm the strongest person you will ever meet when I'm battling for somebody else," she adds in a confessional. "But when it's me, oh, my God." In another scene, the matriarch tells her children -- Albie, Chris and Lauren -- about the health scare. She buries her face in her hands as they cry with her. That won't be the only challenge the reality family will try to overcome, though. As seen in the trailer, Lauren, 28, is having difficulty getting pregnant. Us Weekly exclusively confirmed in July 2015 that she married her longtime boyfriend, Vito Scalia. "I get nervous that we haven't gotten pregnant yet," she tells Scalia. The Cafface Beauty Bar owner also speaks with her mom about the issue. "I wish you would have told me," Caroline says. "I don't know if you feel like you're struggling and you can't tell me." Season 3 of Manzo'd With Children premieres with back-to-back episodes on Sunday, September 11, at 9 p.m. ET. (US Weekly)
