Ruby Rose has shared an emotional social media post after the horrific Orlando mass shooting, revealing she performed at the club where 50 people were slain only last week. "Woke up in tears to hear the news about Orlando. Devastated, heartbroken, sick," the Aussie actor and DJ posted on Facebook and Instagram. "I played there last Friday and last night I performed after Pride in LA. From the DJ booth you see laughter, love, dancing freedom and beautiful people living their lives not harming anyone. It's one of the beautiful things to see from stage." "This horrific tragedy has me on my knees at the mercy of a greater power to ask the simple question of 'When will this end' ... I'm praying for Orlando, I'm crying for Orlando and I am there with you in spirit sending my love and strength."' Gunman Omar Meteen, 29, stormed the packed Pulse gay nightclub about 2 a.m. Sunday and opened fire with a semiautomatic rifle, killing at least 50 people. Authorities are calling it the worst mass shooting in the USA's history. Police SWAT teams later stormed the building and exchanged gunfire with the heavily armed shooter before Meteen was killed in the gun battle. Rose, 30, is based in Los Angeles and tours the world deejaying. She appears on "Orange Is the New Black" and recently wrapped production on Hollywood film, "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage." Johnny Depp will NEVER testify Friday in the restraining order trial ... he'll take the 5th because he's afraid he'll say something that could get him prosecuted for domestic violence -- that's the take of the sources connected to Amber Heard's case, but it may be a little unfair. Our sources tell TMZ ... Amber's team is convinced Johnny is afraid to testify and, given the police are already involved, it's just too risky to take the oath and endure a hard cross-examination. What's more ... Amber's team doesn't even believe Johnny will submit a written declaration denying domestic violence. If you recall, Mel Gibson submitted a written declaration in his custody war with Oksana Grigorieva, and in the doc he admitted he had slapped her. That's what got him prosecuted. Same with Cosby. What he said in his depo formed the basis of the current prosecution. Amber's team believes they have the restraining order in the bank. Their thinking goes this way ... Amber's eager to testify, and if Johnny is mum, the judge has no choice but to grant the restraining order. Fact is ... Amber triggered a police investigation, and it's common practice for someone who's in Johnny's position to take the 5th in a civil case ... even if there's hard proof he's innocent. (TMZ)

One of Omar Mateen's victims was posting videos to social media at the moment he fought his way into the club and opened fire. 25-year-old Amanda Alvear recorded several Snapchat clips from inside Pulse Nightclub -- most of them are innocent fun with friends. But in the final video Amanda was recording herself when more than a dozen shots are heard. Many survivors have said clubgoers initially thought the shots were part of the music DJs were playing -- so they didn't react immediately. You can see in Amanda's video -- obtained by the Daily Mirror -- she was not panicked at first by the gunfire. Amanda was killed during the standoff. Her sister commented on the video ... "I'm so heartbroken. You could make anyone's day with the smile of yours." (TMZ)

He eventually joined Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus in the '70s. He was close friends with Michael Jackson after the pop star saw him perform. Michu was reportedly a regular at Neverland Ranch, present during MJ's courtship to Lisa Marie and even knew Michael's kids. He landed the role of walkaround ALF in the '80s. J.K. Rowling Remembers Wizarding World of Harry Potter Employee Who Died in Orlando Shooting. J.K. Rowling is feeling the Orlando tragedy across the pond. The Harry Potter author turned to Twitter early Monday to share that a Wizarding World of Harry Potter employee was one of the victims named in the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando. "Luis Vielma worked on the Harry Potter ride at Universal. He was 22 years old. I can't stop crying. #Orlando," she tweeted. The attack on Pulse, a popular gay bar in Florida, was deemed the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. Many celebrities turned to social media to express their feelings about the tragic event. Fifty people, including the gunman, were killed, and more than 20 remain hospitalized from injuries. "Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this morning's tragedy," Tom Williams, chairman, Universal Parks & Resorts, said in a statement. "We stand ready to help our community in any way we can." "We stand with the people of Orlando who have endured a terrible attack on this city," President Barack Obama told reporters in a speech given after news broke of the attack. "Although it's still early in the investigation, we know enough to say this is an act of terror and an act of hate." "I am absolutely heartbroken for my hometown and the families/loved ones of the victims and all of those affected," tweeted singer and actress Mandy Moore, who grew up in the Orlando area. The shooting took place only one day after The Voice alum and YouTube star Christina Grimmie was shot and killed by a different assailant while performing in Orlando. Police said the two attacks were not related. Celebrities including Josh Groban, Kim Kardashian, Matt Bomer, Ariel Winter and Ariana Grande reacted to Grimmie's death and the nightclub attack on various platforms. Groban tweeted, "I'm heartbroken for the victims, for Orlando, for the LGBT community, for our country. When does it end?" "My heart goes out to all those affected by this terrible tragedy in Orlando," wrote Matt Bomer. "There are no words. Sending love and prayers." Ahead of the 2016 Tony Awards Sunday night, producers said the show would be dedicated to the families of those who died in Orlando. (Eonline)

James Corden Begins Tony Awards 2016 With Heartfelt Tribute to Orlando Shooting Victims: "Your Tragedy Is Our Tragedy." Just hours after 50 people were fatally shot at an Orlando nightclub, the theater community is paying heartfelt tribute the victims on the largest stage possible. As soon as the 70th Tony Awards debuted, host James Corden stood in front of the cameras with his back to the packed Beacon Theater to deliver these emotionally charged opening remarks. "People all around the world are trying to come to terms with the horrific events that took place in Orlando this morning. On behalf of the whole theater community and every person in this room, our hearts go out to all of those affected by this atrocity. All we can say is you are not on your own right now. Your tragedy is our tragedy," he declared. "Theater is a place where every race, creed, sexuality and gender is equal, is embraced and is loved. Hate will never win. Together, we have to make sure of that. Tonight's show stands as a symbol and a celebration of that principle. This is the Tony Awards." Earlier Sunday, the ceremony's producers announced the entire show would be dedicated to all those affected by the tragic shooting. "Our hearts are heavy for the unimaginable tragedy that happened last night in Orlando. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those affected," the show's Twitter account read. "The Tony Awards dedicate tonight's ceremony to them." Additionally, costume designer William Ivey Long organized for silver ribbons to be handed out and worn along the red carpet in dedication to those slain in the tragedy. In solidarity with the victims, the 16-time nominated Hamilton cast did not use muskets in their live performance during the show Sunday night, as reported by the New York Times' Michael Paulson. In what's been statistically deemed the worst mass shooting in United States history, a male gunman opened fire inside Pulse, a gay nightclub, in Orlando, Fla. on Saturday night. The shooter was ultimately shot dead by police. (Eonline)

Barbra Streisand Returns to the 2016 Tony Awards After 46 Years. After quite the hiatus, Barbra Streisand returned to the 70th Annual Tony Awards Sunday. The iconic star helped close the show by presenting the final award of the night for best musical to Hamilton. The blockbuster Broadway show took home 11 awards Sunday. "Thank you, thank you. You're making me verklempt," the Funny Girl actress joked. Like host James Corden and Lin-Manuel Miranda, Babs paid tribute to those killed in the tragic Orlando shooting over the weekend and spoke about the comfort and happiness that the theater brings to those from all different backgrounds. "Tonight our joy is tinged with sorrow, but we're here to celebrate Broadway and the beauty that artistry can bring into this world," Streisand said. "The artists that write the plays, the composers and the lyricists who write the songs, and the actors who bring them to life. Art can entertain us and educate us, and in times like these, console us." Streisand last appeared at the Tony Awards in 1970 when she was awarded with the Star of the Decade award. Sunday night Streisand wore a long black skirt with a high slit, a matching black jacket and a high-collared tan blouse with lacy sleeves and collar. "Thank god I picked the right outfit," she joked, referring to her colonial-style ensemble. Streisand was just one of many celebrities to turn out for the awards show. Others included Oprah Winfrey, Steve Martin, Cate Blanchett, Carole King, Saoirse Ronan and Nathan Lane. (Eonline)

Keri Russell Hits 2016 Tony Awards in First Red Carpet Appearance Since Giving Birth. It's time for mom to have a star-studded night out. Close to one month after giving birth, Keri Russell stepped out for the 2016 Tony Awards at The Beacon Theatre in New York City. The Americans star opted for a dark red gown with a plunging neckline and silver accents. She completed her look with a matching clutch, heels and earrings. Keri was set to join Meg Ryan, Josh Groban, Common and more to present some of the biggest awards of the evening. And for those not keeping track, Hamilton is favored to break records thanks to all of their well-deserved nominations. Back in May, Keri welcomed her first child with Matthew Rhys into the world. She's also the proud mom to two other children from a previous marriage. During a recent interview with Parade, the actress couldn't help but acknowledge how much motherhood has changed her for the better. "You instantly become less selfish. You can't be the biggest person in the world anymore -- they are," she explained to the publication. "It really grounds you. I like working hard, but my entire life outside of my career is equally important to me. Maybe I'm not ambitious enough, but I'm just as interested in my friends and my relationship with my family." Keri and Matthew first met on the set of the FX series. The private pair would ultimately take their romance public for the first time back in April 2014. As they like to say, the rest is history. Andrew Lloyd Webber came to cheer on his kid rock band at the Tony Awards -- and also to give out some money to encourage more musical kids. The legendary composer, whose "School of Rock," competed for the top musical prize Sunday, announced that he is funding $1.3 million to buy musical theater equipment in U.S. public schools and subsidize study. "I'm afraid what's happening in America is mirrored in Britain. It seems to be that nobody quite understands in the treasuries of our various countries that every penny you put into the arts, comes back in some form -- in my view, five times over," he told The Associated Press on the eve of the announcement. The three-year grant operated by The American Theatre Wing will include buying instruments and equipment for school theater programs, funding summer study and after-school training, and college scholarships. Arts education "makes a vital contribution to children's well-being and their understanding of other disciplines," Lloyd Webber said. "If you start learning music, you immediately get a grasp for math." "If you're lucky, like I am, to make a living through the one thing that you really love doing, I think it's extremely important that you try to give it back and bring other people into it." The stage version of "School of Rock" stays close to the plot of the Jack Black-led 2003 film, in which a wannabe rocker enlists his fifth-graders to form a rock group and conquer the Battle of the Bands. A highlight of the show is listening to a group of 10-year-olds jamming and Lloyd Webber wants the Tony performance slot to motive others. "One hopes it's a little inspiring to other kids when they see that these kids really play. That's the fantastic thing." The U.S. grant is an extension of a program Lloyd Webber has implemented in Britain, introducing violins in schools before pupils go on to make their own music choices. "It's a beginning. Let's put it this way: It's a beginning." (Page Six)

Nick Carter's firstborn son put a $50k dent in his pop's pockets before the tot could even crawl. Nick's son, Odin, was born April 19th, and the Backstreet Boy and wife Lauren went all out on Odin's naptime digs by hiring 2 celeb designers -- Stephanie Avila from Rock a Bye Mommy and Tori Swaim from New Arrivals, Inc. -- to build the nursery. The hefty price included construction and furniture ... and these ain't discount items. The crib was $700, $1,200 for sconces, a $550 lamp and a $2,500 couch. We're told Lauren and Nick loved the steampunk wallpaper, and decided to run with the industrial motif for the whole room. Check out the pics of the decor ... which guarantees little Odin's a lock for Burning Man come 2034. (TMZ)

Taylor Swift's love life is going through major changes and so is her posh TriBeCa apartment. Per the New York City Department of Buildings, at least two permits for renovations on the sixth floor and penthouse -- her floors -- have been filed. They were both approved this year. Combined, the documents list the estimated total cost of Swift's renovations at $535,000. That amount doesn't cover any non-structural improvements, like interior decor. In the meantime, the "Bad Blood" singer, 26, will temporarily live in a $40,000-a-month West Village apartment, according to TMZ. Swift is renting the new home from SoHo House executive David Aldea and the four floor property boasts a two-story patio, private garage, basement, indoor pool and five bedrooms. She's expected to stay roughly a year while renovations are completed. The newly single leggy blonde may be wiping away any reminders of ex-boyfriend Calvin. The pair broke it off after 15 months of dating in late May. An insider told Page Six that Harris, 32, was ring shopping when the split occurred. (Page Six)

Sharon Osbourne looks to have turned a corner with Ozzy, since she's now smiling and happily attending his concerts. Sharon was in the UK over the weekend supporting Ozzy and Black Sabbath for their headlining gig at the Download Festival. She actually seemed to be beaming backstage while snapping a few pics. This isn't the first time they've shared a stage since Ozzy's cheating rumors surfaced, but this is the first time she's genuinely grinning. It's unclear if they've patched things up, but the look on her face could be a clue. (TMZ)

Bow down, bitches (of the moment)! Stephanie Seymour thinks that the era of the supermodel is over and done with. In fact, she has a colorful description of the new class of models like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. "Bitches of the moment!" Seymour, 47, joked with Vanity Fair. "That would be a good title for them." "They are completely different than we were," she noted. "Supermodels are sort of the thing of the past. They deserve their own title. [Kendall and Gigi] are beautiful girls, and I support all of them, but they need their own title." The supermodel, who dominated runways and magazines in the late '80s and early '90s alongside fellow legends Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, noted the differences between modeling then and now. "Because there weren't cameras around us all the time, we got away with so much more and had so much more fun. We didn't have people watching us all the time, and we weren't putting ourselves out there in a way that was turning the media against us or for us in any way," she continued. "We still had our privacy, and there was more of an illusion behind the girls. You lose your illusion when you give much of yourself away, and that's what I don't like about it." Seymour's not the only OG who thinks this Jenner-ation doesn't match up to the last. "I know a lot of people -- legitimate fashion people -- can't stand it," Rebecca Romijn told Entertainment Tonight. "Hate it that these, you know, social media stars are now the supermodels in fashion. They are not true supermodels." But there's an exception: Cindy Crawford. She admits that she envies millennial models for their social media–powered reach. "I'm so jealous," Crawford, who's the mom of up-and-coming model Kaia Gerber, told Cosmopolitan. "I feel they have this direct way to communicate with their audience that my generation didn't have. I think it's a responsibility, but it's also a great tool, because they really can be their own publicists. They can present themselves the way that they want to be presented." (US Weekly)

Anyone who's even glanced at a handful of Kim Kardashian's ensembles over the past eight months or so should immediately be able to recognize one fact about the reality star's dressing M.O: She has a serious style uniform centered around a love of all things spandex. Full length, capri, biker short, or jumpsuit there's no skintight style she hasn't worn, loved, and worn again. (Bonus points if it's a neutral!) Thus, with the latest look she debuted at LAX over the weekend, Kim may have just her platonic ideal of an outfit: a head-to-toe monochromatic elastic look, topped off with a piece from Kanye West's fashion line. The shoes from Kanye's Yeezy Season 2 collection were officially released online last week, which for the first time included an array of heeled boots for women. So naturally, Kim, who's always been the number one advertiser of her husband's apparel, had to wear a pair of the heels out this weekend, just to show the masses exactly what they're missing. In this case, a pair of olive stretchy thigh-highs with a peep-toe and cut-out heel on a thick wooden platform that are currently retailing for $995. But this look wasn't all about the Yeezys, Kim also managed to perfect her bodycon athleisure aesthetic, pairing the shoes with a stretch midi dress in a matching shade of avocado taupe, finishing it off with a slouchy duster in only a slightly darker shade, her favorite crocodile Birkin and her diamond "Saint" choker. In other words, Kim somehow fashioned a skintight jumpsuit out of an assortment of non-jumpsuit related apparel. While his collections are already largely composed of artfully layered bodysuits, considering his wife is his ultimate muse, Kanye should really just give in completely and launch a Yeezy Season 3 line exclusively composed of only things Kim wants to wear. In other words, bike shorts, spandex jumpsuits, leather jackets emblazoned with her own visage, and a touch of "blingy, sexy robot," just for good measure. (People)

Kendall Jenner partying with Scott Disick, Kylie Jenner out with French Montana ... what is going on?! Maybe it's a good thing the Jenner sisters are so close to their older siblings' exes. We don't know! We can only report that Kylie and French were spotted going to The Nice Guy in LA Sunday night and Khloe Kardashian was nowhere in sight. DUN DUN. They both covered their faces, either in shame or because the photographers' lights were too bright. Although we'd go with shame since the third person with them did not seem bothered by the cameras at all. Kyles wore lace ankle boots and a gold bomber jacket, while the rapper stood out in a mixed print shirt and ribbed jeans. Wonder what these two talk about! Do you regularly hang out with your siblings' exes, Perezcious readers??? (Perez Hilton)

Hamilton Dominates 2016 Tony Awards With 11 Wins. They came, they sang, they conquered. We're speaking of the cast of Hamilton, which after breaking the record for the most Tony Award nominations in history, left the Beacon Theater Sunday night with 11 statues in tow. While they didn't shatter the record for most Tony Awards ever won as some expected, the ceremony was still dominated by the sold-out musical. "I stand on this stage tonight and in this theater surrounded by dreamers," producer Jeffrey Seller said while accepting the Best Musical award. "Look around. How lucky we are to be alive right now." The record is currently held by The Producers, which won 12 Tony Awards in 2001. While the show and Billy Elliot had each garnered 15 nominations apiece, they were both recently outranked by Lin-Manuel Miranda's Broadway creation, which was nominated for 16 this year, including Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score and Best Actor in a Musical for Miranda himself. The show's protagonist, playwright and composer previously took home his first Tony Award in 2008 for Best Original Score for In The Heights, the first of his shows to take over Broadway. He took home the same award Sunday night, along with co-star Leslie Odom, Jr., who was granted the statue for Leading Actor in a Musical. "Lin-Manuel, God bless you man. You've given us a new vision of what's possible. I thank God for your mission. I thank God for the calling of your life," Odom said during his acceptance speech before telling the cast, "You are limitless." It seems nearly everyone, from young theater enthusiasts to President Barack Obama himself, have fallen in love with the sold-out show. Even Anna Wintour, Vogue's Editor-in-Chief, can't avoid joining this trend. "Very excited for Hamilton like the rest of the world," she said during the ceremony's red carpet pre-show. The Tony Awards were clearly in agreement. Congratulations to the cast and crew of this award-winning show! (Eonline)

Glenn Close and Andrew Rannells Spoof Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump During Tony Awards 2016. It wouldn't be a star-studded event without a spoof on the 2016 election! The 2016 Tony Awards, hosted by James Corden, featured a hilarious spoof starring Glenn Close as Hillary Clinton in A Clinton Line and Andrew Rannells as Donald Trump in The Book of Moron. Corden, who announced that the new shows would be opening in the fall, made sure that there was "something for everyone." Appearing with Trump's signature comb-over hairstyle and red tie, Rannells walked onto the stage to sing a quick bit from The Book of Moron. "My name is Donald Trump, and I would like to build a wall that goes straight through your house," he sang triumphantly from the Beacon Theatre stage. Close, who is a three-time Tony Award winner, played the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. She, too, came on to the stage to spoof the politician, but somehow her phenomenal vocals might have stolen the show. "I really need this job. Oh, God, I need this job," she belted on the stage while wearing a Clinton signature pantsuit. "I've got to get this job." Sunday's Tony Awards featured a whirlwind of emotions. From Corden's emotional tribute to Orlando to Lin-Manuel Miranda's heart-wrenching speech to his wife, the awards show contained laughter, tears and so much more. "We live through times when hate and fear seem stronger," the Hamilton star shared while holding back tears. "We rise and fall and light from dying embers." "Remembrances that hope and love last longer," he continued. "And love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love." Miranda's sonnet came shortly after Corden kicked off the show with his powerful speech. "People all around the world are trying to come to terms with the horrific events that took place in Orlando this morning. On behalf of the whole theater community and every person in this room, our hearts go out to all of those affected by this atrocity. All we can say is you are not on your own right now. Your tragedy is our tragedy," Corden declared. "Theater is a place where every race, creed, sexuality and gender is equal, is embraced and is loved. Hate will never win. Together, we have to make sure of that. Sunday night's show stands as a symbol and a celebration of that principle. This is the Tony Awards." (Eonline)

Adele Breaks Down While Dedicating Concert to Orlando Victims. Adele couldn't help but get emotional during her concert on Sunday after she decided to dedicate the entire show to the victims in Orlando. The 28-year-old singer was performing in Antwerp, Belgium, where she began her concert by paying tribute to those killed during Saturday's LGBTQ-targeted shooting. She couldn't prevent the tears as she began. "I would like to start tonight by dedicating this entire show to everybody in Orlando and at Pulse nightclub last night," she told the audience, who began cheering. "The LGBTQ community, they're like my soulmates since I was really young so I'm very moved by it." She continued, "I don't know why I'm crying already because most of this tonight is pretty miserable because my songs are fucking miserable. I do have two songs that sound happy, but they're not." Adele is just one of the many celebrities to speak out following the tragic events on Saturday in which a gunman opened fire inside the gay nightclub, killing at least 50 people and leaving at least 50 more injured and becoming the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. "We stand with the people of Orlando who have endured a terrible attack on this city," President Barack Obama told reporters. "Although it's still early in the investigation, we know enough to say this is an act of terror and an act of hate." (Eonline)

Josh Groban's High School Performance in Fiddler on the Roof Was One Sweet Surprise at the 2016 Tony Awards. And here Josh Groban thought he was just going to be a presenter. Before introducing a musical performance at the 2016 Tony Awards Sunday night, the talented singer received a special surprise from the evening's host. "One of the most spectacular revivals this year was of the musical comedy Fiddler on the Roof filled with emotion and humor," James Corden shared on stage at The Beacon Theatre. "I know what you're thinking. What does Josh Groban got to do with Fiddler on the Roof? Well I can tell you he starred in it in high school." But wait, there's more! "Now what Josh doesn't know is that I've found a video of his performance and he'll be thrilled to know we're about to play it on national television," he continued. What came next was a short clip of Josh in full costume reciting lines from the long-running production. As the camera panned backstage, Josh couldn't help but blush as he watched the throwback clip. "Oh that just happened on the Tony's. Yes, that was me," he joked when making it to the stage. "I was 17. I was at the Los Angeles County of the Arts. Thanks very much arts education." In all seriousness, the Broadway bound star expressed his love for the musical that remains timeless after all these years. "The message of this classic tale remains the same as when it first moved audiences," he shared. "The show has always been a beacon of life, love and tolerance." (Eonline)

On the same evening in Miami, Selena Gomez honored her slain friend onstage with a moving performance of Hillsong Worship's "Transfiguration." Grimmie -- a YouTube star who placed third on the sixth season of The Voice -- was shot and killed by 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl at the Plaza Live on June 10 after her show opening for the band Before You Exit. Loibl was quickly tackled by Grimmie's brother Mark before shooting himself. Fifth Harmony honored Christina Grimmie Saturday night and held a moment of silence with the entire arena. Close to 30 million people attended live music events in the United Kingdom last year, contributing £3.7 billion ($5.2 billion) to the local economy, according to new figures from umbrella trade organization UK Music. The third and most comprehensive edition of its "Wish You Were Here" report, which specifically measures the economic impact of foreign and domestic music tourism, reveals that in 2015 a total audience of 27.7 million people bought tickets or attended a concert or festival in the U.K. That figure includes over 10 million 'music tourists,' which UK Music defines as someone who has traveled at least three times the average commuting distance in the Government Office Region (GOR) in which the event took place. This category of domestic fans accounted for 38 percent of the country's live audience, while the number of overseas music tourists (anyone who booked a ticket to attend a British gig or festival from outside the U.K.) climbed 16 percent year-on-year to total 767,000. International visitors are also spending more when they are in the U.K. with their average spend totaling £852 ($1,200) -- up 13 percent year-on-year. The study additionally found that 3.7 million people attended a festival last year and that more music fans are attending gigs in their local area, with 17.3 million people sticking to nearby venues -- a 14 percent increase on 2014's figure. In London, the live music audience totaled 8.4 million -- 3 million of which had travelled from outside the U.K. capital to attend a show -- and generated just under £1 billion in revenue ($1.4 billion), supporting 7,500 jobs. Following a succession of high profile small capacity venue closures throughout the U.K., including The 12 Bar Club in London, Roadhouse in Manchester, Cockpit in Leeds and Princess Charlotte in Leicester, the "Wish You Were Here" report looked into audience numbers at grassroots venues with a capacity of under 1,500 for the first time. It found that 5.6 million people bought tickets for shows in small concert halls, providing a vital lifeline for upcoming artists, promoters and venue operators, generating around £230 million ($325 million). As a consequence of the booming live business, there is now close to 40,000 people in full time jobs in the United Kingdom. As a result, direct spend (which includes tickets, transport and accommodation) from music tourists totaled £2.3 billion ($3.3 billion) -- up from £1.9 billion ($2.7 billion) the previous year. Meanwhile, box office receipts in 2015 totaled £549 million ($778 million), says the report, which was compiled by Oxford Economics on behalf of UK Music. "The appetite for live music continues to grow," said UK Music chief executive Jo Dipple. "What this report shows, unequivocally, is the economic value of live music to communities, cities and regions." "The future of British music is dependent on emerging talent, both in performance and business," added UK Music chairman Andy Heath. "Securing our future depends on the creation of optimum conditions to support young people to become musicians, songwriters, creative technicians and one of the 39,034 jobs in this report. This report must focus policy makers on creating the right conditions for the future of an industry that astounds, entertains and attracts the world," he went on to say. (Billboard)

Adele Fires Back After Being Criticized Over Her Voice: "Suck My D -- k." Call her G.I. Adele! The 28-year-old, 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer was recently criticized over her voice and she was not having it. Tony Visconti, a 72-year-old producer who has worked with the late David Bowie, was quoted as saying in an interview with British tabloid The Daily Star last week, "You turn the radio on and it's fluff, you are listening to 90 percent computerized voices. We know Adele has a great voice but it's even questionable if that is actually her voice or how much has been manipulated. We don't know." At a recent concert, Adele fired back at the criticism. "Some d--khead...tried to say that my voice wasn't me on record," she told the crowd. "Dude, suck my d--k." The singer, who has won Grammys for hits such as "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You," is known for her powerful and unique voice...as well as her sass and potty mouth. In 2012, she underwent suffered a vocal hemorrhage and had to canceled concerts. She then had throat surgery. In 2015, Adele told Rolling Stone she added four notes to the top of her range following the operation. "It does make your voice, like, brand-new," she said. "Which I actually didn't like at first, because I used to have a bit of husk to my voice, and that wasn't there at first." (Eonline)

Neil Young to Donald Trump: 'F--- You'. Neil Young wants to settle this once and for all: he doesn't support Donald Trump and he insisted the Republican presidential candidate stop playing his music at campaign rallies. And if doesn't get through, he's issued a "f--- you, Donald Trump" just to be sure. The veteran Canadian rocker has made his thoughts crystal clear on the American businessman and politician, while removing any doubt over his own political leanings. Young was chastised by David Crosby after Reuters last month published an article which claimed Young was fine with Trump using his music. "He actually got a license to use it," Young was quoted as saying. "I mean, he said he did and I believe him. So I got nothing against him. You know, once the music goes out, everybody can use it for anything." That's not how it went down, says Young. "When I discovered that the candidate first used my song at his campaign launch, my management called his office and immediately requested he stop. We thought he had. But now, unfortunately, I understand he is still using it," Young writes in a Facebook post. "Though there is a considerable legal difference between obtaining music rights for commercial use and obtaining a license agreement for public venues (When licensing music for public events - artists permission is not required) I believe using an artist's work for a specific politicians campaign represents 'implied consent,'" he added. Young, an outspoken supporter of Bernie Sanders, took a swipe at Reuters for "purposely misleading" its readers. And for good measure, he reiterated that he doesn't "endorse hate, bigotry, childish name calling, the superficiality of celebrity or ignorance." Young makes his point without ambiguity in a video attached to the bottom of the message. In it, Young blasts a few lines of "Rockin' in the Free World" and hollers into the mic, "F--- you, Donald Trump." (Billboard)

British Independent Film Awards Add New Categories. The additions of honors for best debut screenwriter and breakthrough producer help target emerging talent. The British Independent Film Awards, affectionately known as the BIFAs and held in London in December, has expanded its focus on emerging talent with the addition of two new categories. Best debut screenwriter and breakthrough producer have been included on the list of awards, with breakthrough producer-aimed at first or second time producers-replacing producer of the year. At the same time, the organizers unveiled changes to the voting system, with the pool of voters deciding the longlists expanded while also taking into account which of the films each voter has seen and where there is a conflict of interest. Debut director, debut screenwriter, breakthrough producer and most promising newcomer will be decided by individual juries. "BIFA has always been about showcasing new talent and these new categories allow us to shine a light on even more of the most exciting future prospects in British film," said co-directors Deena Wallace and Amy Gustin. "We're delighted to see so many people across the industry take up the opportunity to be part of the nominations process and we hope that placing the winner of Best British Independent Film into our voters' hands will encourage even more people to sign up." Last year's awards saw Ex Machina emerge as the big winner with four awards. (Hollywood Reporter)

Jackie Chan: 'Warcraft' Success in China "Scares the Americans". "If we make a film that earns [$1.5 billion], then people from all over the world who study film will learn Chinese instead of us learning English," the action star said during the Shanghai Film Festival. Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan on Sunday extolled the Chinese film industry's emerging market prowess at the Shanghai International Film Festival. Saying that China was overlooked as a "nothing market" for decades, Chan suggested that the world has come to see the country's entertainment sector in a very different light as of late. He cited the phenomenal Chinese box-office performance of Legendary Entertainment's Warcraftas evidence of the new order. "Warcraft made 600 million RMB ($91 million) in two days -- this has scared the Americans," Chan said. "If we can make a film that earns 10 billion ($1.5 billion), then people from all over the world who study film will learn Chinese, instead of us learning English," he added. (As of Saturday, Warcraft had grossed $144.7 million in China over four days, while it opened to just $10.7 million on Friday in North America, where it has been hit with mostly negative reviews.) While Legendary, the studio behind director Duncan Jones' Warcraft, remains mostly U.S.-led and operated, the company was bought by Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group for $3.5 billion in January. Chan was speaking at a kickoff event for his namesake Jackie Chan Action Movie Week program at the Shanghai International Film Festival, which screens a selection of new and recent pics from the genre that made Chan famous. The event was held at a downtown Shanghai cinema and attracted a full house. China's annual box office total hit $6.78 billion in 2015, and the country is expected to top North America ($11 billion last year) as the world's largest theatrical market in 2017. It was unclear whether Chan was suggesting that he hopes a Chinese movie will make $1.5 billion from the Chinese market alone or worldwide. The biggest Chinese -- or Hong Kong-Chinese -- film to date is Stephen Chow's comedy-fantasy The Mermaid, which grossed $528.6 million earlier this year. The highest-grossing movie ever worldwide is still Avatar with $2.7 billion, while Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the biggest ever in a single territory, having taken $936.6 million from North America alone. If the Chinese box office continues growing at an average rate of 30 percent per year -- which it has for the past five years -- it's conceivable that the country could produce a $1.5 billion domestic-grosser sometime over the next five to 10 years, barring a major market-stalling event. "It is you, not us who makes China powerful," Chan said to the mostly Chinese crowd in attendance. "So, thank you all -- we hope the Chinese film industry gets even more powerful." Summer Box-Office Slump: Revenue Down a Steep 22 Percent. This past weekend was down more than 44 percent from the comparable weekend in 2015, when 'Jurassic World' roared to a record $208.8 million opening, making for a particularly stark comparison; Hollywood is banking on a fish named Dory and other tentpoles waiting in the wings to close the gap. The early summer box office in North America has developed a case of the blues, with revenue down sharply over last year. Revenue for the May 6-June 12 period is roughly $1.24 billion, a 22 percent decline from the $1.597 collected between May 1-June 14 in 2015. Due to the vagaries of the calendar, the summer tally officially started on May 1 in 2015, compared to May 6 this year when Captain America: Civil War debuted. Even when adding on an extra week for 2016, by beginning the count with the April 29-May 1 weekend, revenue for this year is still down 14 percent from 2015's $1.377 billion. "No matter how you slice or dice the calendar, there is no question that the summer of 2016 thus far has been a bit of a bummer with the under-performers outnumbering the over-performers and a general malaise that has struck the early part of this most important movie going season," says box-office analyst Paul Dergarabedian of comScore. Continuing, he says, "the poster child for this downturn has been the preponderance of sequels that have been unable to match their immediate predecessors in box office dollars and critical and audience acclaim." The good news: Year to date, revenue is still up over 2015 by more than 4 percent, although the margin was much wider heading into summer (in late March, the year-over-year uptick was more than 11 percent). And there are plenty of potential big earners yet to open between now and Labor Day, including this coming weekend's Finding Dory. The summer downturn can be traced to a number of films that have under-performed. The latest culprit is big-budget video game adaptation Warcraft, which opened over the weekend to a dismal $24.4 million in North America. The average domestic gross for the top five summer titles to date is $150.9 million, compared to $216.5 million last year. Captain America: Civil War is by far the top earner of the 2016 season with a domestic total to date of $369.9 million; that compares to $444.8 million collected by summer 2015 champ Avengers: Age of Ultron during the same period. X-Men: Apocalypse is the only other 2016 summer release that has crossed $100 million domestically, finishing Sunday with a total $136.4 million (still, it's trailing the previous installment, X-Men: Days of Future Past). At the same point last summer, five movies had already raced past $100 million, including Ultron, Jurassic World and Pitch Perfect 2, which had made a whopping $171 million. Other high-profile summer titles of all sizes that have disappointed this time out include Alice Through the Looking Glass, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and The Nice Guys. Some of the specific weekend-to-weekend comparisons can be stark. Revenue for the past June 10-12 weekend, which included Warcraft's disappointing bow, tumbled more than 44 percent compared to the same weekend a year ago, when Jurassic World roared to a $208.8 million domestic debut, then the biggest opening of all time. (In December, Star Wars: The Force Awakens made history with a domestic blast-off of $248 million). Studio executives and box-office analysts remain confident that July and August will help to restore order and narrow the revenue gap. In addition to Finding Dory, tentpoles yet to open include The Secret Life of Pets, Jason Bourne, Star Trek: Beyond and Suicide Squad. And Independence Day: Resurgence is a wild card. "Of course there have been some bright spots, but the promise of a massive summer and early enthusiasm that was fueled by the great success of the kick-off film of the summer with Captain America has as of yet not manifested big box office. Though that is cause for concern, history has taught us that negative mini-trends and micro-slumps can quickly be replaced by sudden box-office surges and unexpected hits," says Dergarabedian. An example: While Warcraft stalled, horror sequel The Conjuring 2 opened to $40.4 million over the weekend, ahead of expectations and almost on par with the $41.9 million debut of The Conjuring in July 2013. Adds Dergarabedian, "The current weekend could be just the start of a reversal of negative box office fortunes, and at least give this summer a fighting chance of not being totally humiliated by the blockbuster stylings of the summer of 2015 at this point," (Hollywood Reporter)

The Flipping Out Season 9 Trailer Sees Jeff Lewis Back in Therapy After Catching Baby Fever. If you thought life for Jeff Lewis was stressful before, seven little words are about to change all that. "Are we ready to make a baby?" When Flipping Out returns to Bravo for season nine with a two-night premiere on Wednesday, July 13 and Thursday, July 14, it's not just business as usual for America's favorite house flipper because he and life partner Gage Edward officially have baby on the brain. And as you can tell from this first look at the season, premiering exclusive on E! News, the thought of fatherhood is only going to test that legendary patience of his even further. "My whole life is about to change," Jeff tells his therapist. "I don't know how to prepare, I don't know what to do. I don't know what this new life is going to look like." At least he's back in therapy! An addition to the family isn't the only major life change coming Jeff's way this season. A return to his first love, house flipping, leads to a dip in business and lost income, forcing Jeff and the company to make major adjustments -- namely, moving his entire household, including Gage, lovable housekeeper Zoila Chavez (the true star of the show, in our humble opinion), three dogs, and new cat Patrick into a flip that's currently under construction. A house with no kitchen, no bar, and missing walls? What could go wrong? Elsewhere, his hilarious sidekick (and executive assistant) Jenni Pulos is also feeling the baby fever, ready for a second child after giving birth to daughter Alianna in 2013, but comes to find that will be more difficult than expected. And in perhaps the most distressing development of all, Jeff also finds himself at a crossroads with Zoila as he begins to question her role in the house. Flipping Out without Zoila? We shudder at the thought! Flipping Out returns for season nine with a two-part premiere on Wednesday, July 13 at 10 p.m. and Thursday, July 14 at 9 p.m. (its regular night and time) on Bravo. Game of Thrones' "Battle of the Bastards" Trailer Is Here and it Looks Legendary. It's the battle you've been waiting for: Game of Thrones' "Battle of the Bastards." In the new trailer, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Ramsaey Bolton (Iwan Rheon) and their respective forces square off in one heck of a deadly conflict. "Battles have been won against creator odds," Jon Snow says. "I've fought beyond the Wall against worse than Ramsay Bolton." "You don't know him," Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) knowingly replies. Remember: She knows all too well what an awful human this guy is. And a note to other TV shows: This is how you tease what's sure to be an epic episode with a legendary battle. "If I fall," Jon Snow says. "Don't bring me back." They didn't kill him only to bring him back and kill him again... right?! Miguel Sapochnik, who helmed past episodes of Game of Thrones including "Hardhome" and "The Gift," serves as director on "Battle of the Bastards." Will Jon Snow and his man bun prevail? You'll have to tune in on Sunday, June 19 to find out. And don't forget: the penultimate episodes of Game of Thrones are always pretty, pretty, pretty major. All things lead to the super-sized season finale. The 69-minute episode, airing June 26, is titled "The Winds of Winter." Yes, it shares the same title as George R.R. Martin's unreleased sixth book in the saga. PS: Don't fret. Game of Thrones has already been renewed for a seventh season on HBO. Are you surprised? Game of Thrones airs Sundays, 9 p.m. on HBO. Game of Thrones Recap: The Calm Before the Storm We're Hoping For. OK, we can't be the only ones who got some Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes there at the end of tonight's Game of Thrones, right? Sansa may be about to fight a losing battle in taking back her home thanks to the death of the Blackfish, King Tommen has totally lost his mind, and Dany returned to Meereen just as it was being burned down by some angry former slave masters, but Arya Stark is back and possibly superhuman. After Lady Crane attempted to nurse Arya and her wounded stomach back to health, that annoying girl showed up anyway, killed Lady Crane, and then set her Terminator-like sights on Arya herself. She chased Arya all through the streets of Braavos, even sending her parkouring over a wall and falling down some stairs and over many fruit stands. Even with her wounds reopened, Arya still managed to stand up straight enough to pull out Needle and eventually slice that girl's face right off. We didn't get to see Arya's winning battle, which is a real shame, but we did get to see that girl's face displayed in the hall of faces. Jaqen was impressed and sort of proud, and declared that "finally, a girl is no one." "A girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell," she sassed back, giving us flashes of Buffy in that hell dimension, "and I'm going home." Wouldn't it be pretty damn epic if Arya gets back, slays the Boltons all on her own, and struts out of Winterfell just as Sansa arrives, so Sansa doesn't have to worry about her army after all? Tonight brought a big blow to Sansa's whole plan when the Blackfish had no desire to accompany Brienne back to the north, even when Riverrun turned on him with the help of its newly returned/released lord, Edmure (who only agreed to help after Jamie compared Cersei to Catelyn, who's been mentioned quite a bit lately... ). Brienne tried to get him to run with her, but he still refused, and according to one measly throwaway line to Jaime, he "died fighting." So either he's not really dead, or we just missed out on a potentially epic death scene. Jaime, meanwhile, now has Riverrun, meaning he can possibly get back to his sisterlove, Cersei. Speaking of Cersei, she's still dealing with her son's newfound faith. He declared that she and Loras will face a trial in front of the seven septons, instead of the trial by combat she was hoping to have, because thanks to the Mountain, she would have won. (The Mountain, btw, ripped off a guy's head tonight when Lancel tried to force Cersei to go see the high septon. So yeah, she definitely would have won.) She did, however, learn from Qyburn that some rumor that she heard was "much more" than just a rumor, so we'll have to wait to see what that's about. In Meereen, while Varys set out on a secret expedition to Westeros, Tyrion was forcing Missandei and Greyworm to drink and joke with him. They were jokes that only really made sense to Missandei and Greyworm, but they were still jokes, and everyone was having a good time, until some alarm bells started ringing. Apparently the slave masters were arriving to take back their property, which was some real bad news. Everybody just sort of holed up in the pyramid and planned to fight once their enemies reached them, until none other than Queen Daenerys walked through the door. Over in wherever the Hound is, he was on the hunt for that Brotherhood guy in the yellow cloak who killed his friends, and he didn't care who he had to kill to find said yellow cloak guy. He had some fun beheading and disemboweling a few guys before he finally found his target. Fortunately in general but unfortunately for his ax, some other members of the Brotherhood (including his old friend, Beric) were just about to hang Mr. Yellow Cloak and his companions for the village murder. When he wasn't allowed to use his ax, the Hound just ended up kicking down the stumps that were holding them up. Then he stole Yellow Cloak's boots, just for good measure. While the Hound was ready to still count Beric as an enemy (since he killed him that one time), Beric tried to convince him to join their cause. Aside from Arya being a badass, tonight's episode was a little quiet, and felt like precisely the type of episode that Game of Thrones likes to put out before all hell breaks loose. So we had probably better be ready to batten down the hatches for the next couple of weeks, because hopefully, things are about to just get nuts. Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO. (Eonline)

House of Lies Heads to Cuba In Surprising Series Finale (Marriage & Stolen Cars Included). Marty Kaan (Don Cheadle) and Jeannie Van Der Hooven (Kristen Bell) made their last deal on House of Lies tonight, as they wrapped up their business in Cuba and tied up some loose ends in the dark Showtime comedy's fifth season (and series) finale. The cutthroat consultants had been competing for a major deal in the burgeoning economy of Cuba -- did they manage to close? And did we ever get any closure in Marty and Jeannie's relationship? Read on to find out how the show's final episode, shot on location in Cuba, wrapped everything up. First things first, the business: after competing against Monica for the biggest deal of their careers, the Kaan & Associates team looked like they were about to emerge victorious. Well, that is until Marty decided he didn't want to do the deal after all, and chose to keep his company for himself...and his new wife! Yep, Marty proposed to Jeannie after deciding to turn down the deal, and then they got drunkenly married with help from the party of another, much more planned wedding. After some dancing, they got even drunker and stole a car. Well, Jeannie stole the car, and Marty just went along with it, and they drove it to the beach and promptly passed out on the sand. It didn't necessarily feel like a complete series finale, but there was plenty of closure to be had. Plus, the Cuban locations were absolutely gorgeous. What did you think of the episode? Was it an acceptable series finale? (Eonline)

TNT Postpones The Last Ship Season Premiere After Orlando Shootings. TNT is making a couple of scheduling changes in the wake of the tragedy in Orlando. The network has decided to pull tonight's season three premiere episode of The Last Ship, which featured gunmen opening fire in a Vietnamese nightclub. "As a result of the shootings this weekend in Orlando, Sunday night's originally scheduled season premiere of The Last Ship has been postponed. Our hearts are with the victims and their families," the network said in a statement. More than 50 people were killed and at least 50 others were wounded when a gunman opened fire in a gay Orlando nightclub late Saturday night in what is being called the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. The attack came not even days after singer Christina Grimmie was shot and killed after her concert in Orlando. No announcement has been made about when or if the episode will eventually air, but according to TVLine, the nightclub sequence was setting up a major storyline for the season. Sunday night's Tony Awards broadcast was dedicated to the families of the victims, aired on CBS. (Eonline)

If Kim Kardashian West is the queen of selfies, her sister Khloe Kardashian might just be the queen of cryptic tweets. On Sunday's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, 31-year-old Khloe made it very clear to her family that she was ready to put the past behind her and go through with her divorce from Lamar Odom-even though in the episode he wasn't quite ready to end it. During the show, Khloe told Kim, 35, that her relationship with Odom had evolved into friendship and nothing more, adding that she looks forward to having kids and possibly getting remarried. "I need this marriage to end because it's depressing," Khloe admitted to her sister. She had put her divorce to the former NBA star on hold in October, due to Odom, 36, being hospitalized after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel. After the show ended, Kardashian took to Twitter to post a subtle message to fans that read: "It's not the future that you're afraid of. It's repeating the past that makes you anxious." Since filming, Odom has been spotted drinking in public, which hasn't been easy on his ex. Later, Kourtney followed suit and retweeted her sister's sentiment. She too is dealing with her own past relationship issues with her ex Scott Disick. On Sunday's episode, Kourtney told her ex that he never takes responsibility for his actions and only blames outside influences. "It just seems that you blame your actions on something else or somebody else, you just always have an excuse for everything" the 37-year-old said. Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs Sundays (9 p.m. ET) on E! (People)

TV Ratings: Tonys on Track for 15-Year High. Early numbers put the CBS telecast of the awards show up 33 percent from last year's Tonys. A combination of Broadway phenomenon Hamilton and likely interest in how the show would handle news of the day's horrific attacks in Orlando, Florida, saw Tony viewership surge on Sunday night. Early numbers from Nielsen's metered market households give the CBS telecast of the awards show a 6.8 rating. That's a 33 percent jump from last year's Tonys, making for the highest overnight rating in 15 years. It's a welcome change of pace for the Tonys. The theater awards have suffered dramatically in recent years, no thanks to basketball. Last year's NBA finals went head-to-head with the show. To be certain, a 33 percent jump for the James Corden-hosted event is not a huge leap. Final returns for last year's Tonys gave the show 6.5 million viewers and just a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49. CBS Names Jim Lanzone Chief Digital Officer. He will continue to serve as CEO of CBS Interactive. CBS Corp. is acknowledging the growing importance of digital by tapping CBS Interactive chief Jim Lanzone for the newly created role of chief digital officer. His appointment comes as CBS doubles down on its streaming efforts through the development of original programming for its All Access service, which Lanzone was crucial to bringing to fruition. In his new role, Lanzone will oversee digital strategy across CBS divisions, ensuring that they are coordinating their efforts to create new streaming services and cultivate existing platforms, as well as exploring new ways for content to be consumed. He will also continue to over CBS Interactive as CEO, a role he has held since 2013. In announcing the hire, CBS CEO Leslie Moonves acknowledged that digital is an "increasingly important part of our business." Lanzone first joined CBS Interactive, the company's San Francisco-based internet arm, in 2011 as president and counts among his initiatives the launch of All Access, the $5.99 a month streaming service that will soon feature an original Star Trek series and a spinoff of The Good Wife, as well as live streaming news network CBSN. He came to CBS through the acquisition of his startup Clicker Media, which offered a guide for where to find TV programs online. He also served as CEO of Ask.com and as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Silicon Valley venture capital firm Redpoint Ventures. "For the past five years, Jim has built a successful business and organization at CBS Interactive, which is now a thriving and profitable operation -- and one of our most exciting growth engines as we move to build CBS All Access, CBSN and many other important initiatives in the digital space," Moonves said. "Now, as our first-ever chief digital officer, Jim will bring that expertise and influence to all of CBS's businesses by working hand in hand with digital operations across the corporation. I look forward to the many contributions he will make as we continue to transform ourselves as a premium content company in the interactive age." (Hollywood Reporter)
