TODAY IS
Anderson Cooper, the anti-Grecian formula reporter, turns 49 today.
Dan Hill turns 62 today. He was a one-hit wonder in the 70's with "Sometimes When We Touch" (The honesty's too much. So I think we should go Dutch). I just made that last part up. Hey, Dan, a tip: don't touch any of the presidential candidates.
Denise Williams, famous for her "Let's Hear It For the Boy" song in "Footloose," turns 65 today. Now, when she says, "Let's hear it for the boy," she's only asking 'cause she didn't hear it the first time. She's got a new song out for aging boomers, called "Let's hear it a little bit louder for the boy."
Suzi Quatro, known as Leather Tuscadaro on "Happy Days," turns 66 today. Her big musical hit was "Stumblin' In." Not advisable at her age. These days, someone will say "Nice Jacket" and she'll reply, "But I'm not wearing one."
TV producer and host Chuck Barris turns 87 today.
- He gave us "The Gong Show" before we knew we could give it back.
- Years ago, he gave us "The Gong Show"... and we still haven't forgiven him.
- He claimed to be a spy for the CIA. As you can imagine, that spy/TV Game Show host career combo is pretty rare.
