Corbin Bleu From High School Musical & Sasha Clements are Married. Congrats to Corbin Bleu and Sasha Clements! The 27-year-old actor, best known for his role in Disney's High School Musical, married his 26-year-old longtime girlfriend, star of the Disney Channel movie How to Build a Better Boy, Saturday night, about a year and a half after proposing to her. The two exchanged vows near Santa Barbara, California in front of 160 guests, People reported early Sunday. "Getting married to Sasha today was the best moment of my life," Bleu told the magazine. "I have to say my favorite part was the feeling that started in my toes and went all the way to the top of my head when Sasha came through the gate to the entrance of our venue and walked down the aisle. From the flowing veil in the wind as she walked, to the big smile on her face, it suddenly hit me that this stunning woman that was looking at me was going to marry me and make me the happiest man in the world." People said the pair's first dance as a married couple was a salsa routine choreographed by Karina Smirnoff, who was Bleu's partner on Dancing with the Stars during season 17 in 2013. The two placed second, after Amber Riley and Derek Hough. Bleu and Clements began dating after meeting in a Toronto grocery store in 2011. He proposed to her in October 2014 in front of Cinderella's Castle at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, just before the theme park's famous daily fireworks show. He surprised her with an engagement ring that he'd placed inside a glass slipper. Bleu and Clements appeared on TLC's Say Yes to the Dress in an episode that aired earlier this year. Days before their wedding, Clements had a bachelorette party at the Malibu Wine Safaris, where she met a new friend. (Eonline)
Grimm Co-Stars Bitsie Tulloch and David Giuntoli Confirm Their Engagement During Comic-Con. How's this for some big news from Comic-Con? In between the release of new trailers and surprise appearances in San Diego, the cast of Grimm had some news to share of their own. As it turns out, co-stars Bitsie Tulloch and David Giuntoli are officially off the market. "We did decide that Comic-Con...I was going to wear the ring out in public for the first time," Bitsie shared with Entertainment Tonight who first spotted the bling. David added, "We've just been quietly enjoying it." The Hollywood pair would later confess that they have been engaged since April. In an Instagram post shared Saturday morning, Bitsie couldn't help but flash the engagement ring while posing with her Grimm co-star Bree Turner. Back in December of 2014, David and Bitsie revealed that they were in a relationship just like their characters Nick and Juliette. "It's pretty public now that I'm dating David, so that's kind of out of the bag," Bitsie shared with Zap2It. "We were hiding it for a long time, but now everybody knows." And when not filming scenes for their popular NBC series in Portland, you can likely find the pair exploring the town and documenting their adventures on Instagram. "Lovebirds in the wild," the pair shared on social media while sharing a sweet kiss on social media. "#Grimm #GrimmRetreat2016." Congratulations to the happy couple on their big news. (Eonline)

Mean Girls' Lizzy Caplan Is Engaged! Actress Set to Wed Actor Tom Riley. From mean girl to engaged girl, Lizzy Caplan is officially a bride-to-be. Less than six months after making their official red carpet debut as a couple, the Masters of Sex star and her boyfriend Tom Riley are engaged, E! News can confirm. The 34-year-old actress was spotted with her arm wrapped around her fiance while on a grocery shopping trip in Los Angeles Friday, though it was what was on her finger that caught everyone's attention. The Emmy Award nominee was sporting a diamond ring on her left hand, raising questions about whether or not her actor beau had popped the question. According to the actress' rep, Riley did ask the Mean Girls star to be his wife in May in New York City. While they met in London where Caplan was filming in January 2015, the duo first confirmed their burgeoning romance a year later by arriving to the the 2016 Prague Opera Ball hand in hand. Months earlier, the couple sparked rumors of a relationship when Riley shared a photo of himself holding hands with a mystery brunette as they jumped off a boat into the waters of Capri, Italy. While Caplan is ready to take the plunge with her future husband, there was a time when she wasn't so keen on the idea of even dating an actor. "I actually romanticize the idea of a stay-at-home dad," she told Elle Canada in 2014. "Partly because I think that's a very sexy thing, but also because if there are two working actors and both of them get a job and they have a baby, the woman is going to stay with the baby. I see it all the time. It just seems very unfair." While Lizzy has plenty of time to figure out equal parenting, she definitely is about to marry an actor. Riley, 35, appeared in the television series DaVinci's Demons and is slated to star on Amazon's The Collection come fall. It will be a busy September for the engaged pair as Caplan is also expected to hit the small screen for the fourth season of Masters of Sex. Caplan isn't the only Mean Girls alum to get engaged this year. Her on-screen BFF Damian Daniel Franzese asked his partner, Joseph Bradley Phillips, to marry him on Monday. Congratulations to both happy couples! (Eonline)
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani's Flirty Tweets Remind Us Love Is Still in the Air This Summer. Looks like Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are still each other's "Honey Bees." As both A-list artists continue traveling across the country performing in front of sold-out audiences, the famous couple decided to show some love on social media Saturday afternoon. While interacting with fans on social media, Blake expressed his confusion at Snapchat and the term "spirit animal." Just a few tweets later and the "God Gave Me You" singer suddenly shared why he doesn't even want a password on his phone. "All they're gonna find on my phone is 80's music and pictures of @gwenstefani," he shared. "Oh and deer pics." Not to be outdone, Gwen sent a special message to her boyfriend before his concert in Paso Robles, Calif. "@blakeshelton u should snap for us today your so mean we miss u Gx," she shared. "#startsnapping #soselfish #wewanttoseeu." She added, "How do I periscope @blakeshelton s show tonight? #helpmeplease Gx." The latest romantic messages shouldn't come as the biggest surprise to fans. Ever since turning their friendship into something more, the Hollywood stars have been open about how much the other has changed their lives for the better. But in a season full of splits and breakups, it sure isn't bad to see a couple going strong. "I tell people all the time, 'Gwen saved my life last year. She did," Blake recently told CMT's Katie Cook. "I think she'd tell you something similar about me." (Eonline)
Jay Mohr and Nikki Cox Divorcing After 9 Years of Marriage. After nine years of marriage, Jay Mohr has filed for divorce from Nikki Cox. E! News has learned that the couple has called it quits almost a decade after they first exchanged vows. The two met on the set of the television show Las Vegas, which ran from 2003 to 2008. The exes have one child together, a son named Meredith Daniel Mohr, who was born in April of 2011. Back in December of 2008, Jay filed a petition with the Los Angeles court to allow him to legally change his name to include his wife's last name. His full legal name is now Jon Ferguson Cox Mohr, and no word yet on whether he will ask the court to allow him to change back to his birth name following his split with Nikki. The last time that Jay posted any sign of him with the actress on social media was six months ago on "National Kiss a Redhead Day." He shared a photo of him kissing the Unhappily Ever After star and wrote, "I wanted Carrot Top but that would entail traveling to Las Vegas and looking for him. So instead I chose to kiss my wife. That entailed traveling to the bathtub and looking to my left." This will be the second divorce for Jay, who was previously married to Nicole Chamberlain from 1998-2004, and the first for Nikki. Amber Heard -- who's in the throws of a divorce with Johnny Depp -- is spending a lot of time with a guy who makes Johnny look like a pauper -- billionaire extraordinaire Elon Musk ... TMZ has learned. Our sources say Amber has known the Tesla inventor for several years, but in the last few months they've been spending a lot of time together. Just last weekend Amber and her sister were hanging out in Elon's hotel bungalow in Miami. We're told she had a 1-on-1 dinner at his L.A. house 2 weeks ago. We're told she recently went to Elon's L.A. area office to spend time with him. And we're told he's paid several visits to her home. No one in Amber's camp is calling it "dating," but we're told the amount of time they spend together has definitely increased. Elon -- who's worth an estimated $12.7 billion -- is also going through a divorce with Talulah. They married, divorced, remarried and she filed for divorce for a second time in March. (TMZ)
The co-creator of "Friends" just struck a divorce settlement, and we've learned it involves a yearly residual check that would make your eyes pop out. Marta Kauffman and Michael Skloff have just ended their 31-year marriage. According to legal docs filed with the court, and obtained by TMZ, they're both doing well but it looks like she gets more. The big-ticket item ... Marta gets one "Friends" residual check a year, and our sources say it's a doozy ... many millions of dollars. According to the settlement agreement, she gets to keep 75%, and as soon as she gets the check she must write one to Michael for 25% ... pronto. BTW ... Michael gets his own residual check ... he composed the show's theme song, and gets a big fat check he gets to keep all to himself. There are multiple houses ... and she gets 3 out of the 4, including the super-expensive one on Broad Beach in Malibu. Marta is a prolific producer, who also created "Grace and Frankie," which is currently on the air. She also gets residuals from "Joey," "Dream On" and "Veronica's Closet." And the money from all these shows is hers and hers alone. You gotta have Friends. (TMZ)
Robin Thicke and Paula Patton both just learned a lesson about divorce ... don't loan and don't borrow your ex's car, because it can cost you dearly. We're told Paula got pulled over a few days ago by the CHP for speeding and an unsafe lane change. Deputies quickly noticed the registration on the Range Rover had expired. Now the problems. It's not Paula's Range Rover. It's Robin's. Apparently he loans it to her from time to time. We're told Robin's people just forgot to write the DMV check. Now here's the lesson for everyone. From Paula's point of view, she's rolling the dice when she drive's someone else's car ... all sorts of things could go wrong, including a traffic stop because the owner didn't pay the piper. What Robin did is even dicier. If Paula's erratic driving resulted in an accident, Robin would be on the hook if the victim decided to sue. Short story ... Keep separate property separate, pay your bills, and obey the speed limit. (TMZ)
Tom Cruise has been pulled into the middle of a police investigation surrounding a potential suicide bomber who made alarming threats to the Church of Scientology. Cops say the man called the Church back in April asking, "Are there any bombings I can do?" The man, who ID'd himself as a Muslim, said he "liked to do suicide bombings." According to police docs, the caller began singing, "Allah Akbar, Tom Cruise" ... the phrase some terrorists have used as they attack. He then hung up. The LAPD is now on the hunt for the man ... with a search warrant forcing AT&T to ante up phone records. (Eonline)
Manson Family member Leslie Van Houten will not be a free woman despite a parole board recommendation, because the Governor of California doesn't think the public would be safe. Governor Jerry Brown said, "Both her role in these extraordinarily brutal crimes and her inability to explain her willing participation in such horrific violence cannot be overlooked and lead me to believe she remains an unacceptable risk to society if released." The California Parole Board determined the 66-year-old prisoner was fit for release and had been a model prisoner for years. But what she did back in the day was undeniably horrific. She was convicted of first degree murder for stabbing Rosemary LaBianca to death -- stabbing her more than a dozen times -- the day after the Family slaughtering 5 people in the Benedict Canyon area, including actress Sharon Tate. The murders were designed to start a race war in America. (TMZ)

Prince William Jokes That Prince George Is 'Spoilt' During America's Cup Event with Kate. Sailing has been a part of Princess Kate and Prince William's life together since they first met at St. Andrew's University in Scotland. Yet it doesn't look as though Prince George is likely to join them onto the high seas just yet. "What did he get for his birthday? I'm not telling", William, 34, told competition winner Zak Kay, 10, ahead of the America's Cup World Series racing event in Portsmouth, England, on Sunday. "He got too many things. He's far too spoilt. He's not into boats yet." Neither George-who turned three on Friday-nor his younger sister, Princess Charlotte, 1, attended the Sunday event, which included having William and Kate tour the headquarters of Ben Ainslie Racing (BAR) to meet the team plotting to bring the 'Auld Mug' back to Britain for the first time since the yacht "America" won the inaugural trophy way back in 1851. "She was lovely beautiful and friendly," Tiyah Windslade, 17, told reporters shortly after presenting a bouquet to Kate on behalf of the 1851 Trust, which is using the America's Cup to inspire a new generation to become involved with the marine world-with a strong focus on those from underprivileged families. "I almost started crying!," Tiyah added about meeting with Kate, who paired a BAR team shirt bearing the words "The Duchess of Cambridge," with tight skinny jeans and beige espadrille wedges. "She spoke a lot about mental health and how we need to stop people from feeling ashamed about themselves and come out and be very open about their mental health. And she sad that we are the voice reaching out to people because we are working with them on the ground. "It is great to have them involved," Tiyah continued. "They give us so much support." "I was chosen to present the bouquet," she added. "They told me a couple of moments before and it was so sudden, I was like 'I didn't know I was doing that!?' "I just knew I was meeting them and they said, 'Are you OK to take the lead and give them the bouquet?' So I sad, 'Er, yeah, OK! I'm already so nervous, now you've really shaken me!'" Thankfully, the royal couple calmed her nerves immediately. "He was really lovely too", Tiyah added about William. Following an hour-long tour of the British team's headquarters, William and Kate boarded a BAR catamaran flying a royal standard to sail around Portsmouth. They then took a seat in the bleachers among thousands of sailing fans to watch the high-speed racing action, which drew teams from all across the globe. The couple will later visit the Race Village to meet the six international crews and hand out the trophy designed by competition winner Kay. This is Kate's third visit to the Portsmouth leg of the America's Cup World Series. In May, she had an exhilarating trip in the water, sailing around the Solent with four-time Olympic champion-and reigning America's Cup winner-Ainslie and his crew. Ainslie told PEOPLE after the event that it was "a wonderful sail." A few days later, Ainslie posted exciting GoPro-style footage of the trip, showing Kate in full control alongside her colleagues on board. Kate and William are both experienced sailors and frequently took a day on the seas close to their first marital home in Anglesey, north Wales. Kate also beat William in a sailing race in Aukland, New Zealand, during their tour of the country in April 2014. During their first royal tour in the summer of 2011, the famously competitive couple also took charge of a dragon boat race across a lake in Canada. (People)
The "Pokemon Go" craze is so big, it's going to turn a line of themed restaurants into huge money makers ... or so one developer thinks now that he's filed docs to launch the idea. James Kim -- a branding and marketing guru -- is trying to lock up trademark rights for eateries he plans to call "Pokestop." If you don't know ... Pokestops, in the game, are digital locations where players refill on supplies. Kim plans to open cafes catering to the game ... which would allow users to fill up on Pokemon supplies (for the game), catch a few creatures and also fill up on real-life food, coffee, tea and possibly beers too. He says they would have Pokemon lures to bring in creatures to each location, and even host Pokemon-themed events. Of course, he'll need to secure a licensing deal with Pokemon -- which hasn't happened. Yet. Trademarks ... gotta catch 'em all. (TMZ)
Melania Trump's going topless Down Under on a giant mural ... and it doesn't look like the artist is much of a Hillary Clinton fan. Melbourne street artist "LushSux" slapped up the potential future First Lady on an alley wall, and jacked Clinton's unofficial campaign slogan -- "I'm with her" -- for the piece. The boobs DO appear to be Melania's and not Michelle Obama's. If the work looks familiar that's because "LushSux" previously did a version of Kim Kardashian's naked selfie in a different alley. (TMZ)

Selena Gomez just posted a puzzling message ... calling herself, "unauthentic" and "unconnected" to herself and her music hours after a concert. Gomez took to Instagram Saturday -- post-show in Indonesia -- mentioning she's never felt her materials, wardrobe or a video could define her ... but it seems something got in her head. Selena also reflected on her life ... saying she thinks it's time to do an overhaul both personally and creatively. It's unclear exactly what happened with the singer ... but a video taken during the concert shows her on the verge of tears before a song as she spoke to fans about loving and caring for one another. The Show Must Go On: Sia, Adele and More Musicians Who Suffer From Stage Fright. There's more to Sia's wig than just style. The "Chandelier" songstress is as famous for her identity-concealing wig as she is for her musical pipes. However, while it has shaped her signature look, the platinum bob has also become a personal barricade to help calm her crippling stage fright. In fact, the Australian native was so nervous for her scheduled performance on Good Morning America Friday that she admitted to getting emotional before it was time to hit the stage. "I just cried in the dressing room," she told co-host Amy Robach. "I'm really croaky and I was like 'I'm not going to hit the high note and I want everyone to like me.' It's scary to perform!" The chart-topping performer may appear cool, calm and collected with a mic in her hand, but the 40-year-old admitted she's actually quite afraid of her profession. "I do not love performing," she said during the show. "I get really scared." Fortunately, Sia is in successful company. She's just one of many award-winning musicians who have admitted to major pre-show jitters, including a 40-time Grammy Award nominee. Barbra Streisand, a legendary singer in the industry, became a household name for her portrayals of passionate and steadfast performers like Fanny Brice in Funny Girl. Ironically, the actress is admittedly bashful about singing in front of people. In fact, the Oscar winner says the darker the room, the better. "I'm very shy," she previously told Oprah Winfrey. "I don't like singing. I could never perform in a living room. I could never get up and sing in a living room. I can't do that...seeing the people's faces." Lorde shares the legend's anxiety. "I, like, totally threw up before my show last night," she told The West Australian. "I am reduced by nerves. I can be completely crushed by feelings of all kinds." While the 19-year-old "Royals" singer has earned herself two Grammy Awards since she first arrived on the music scene, those jitters still creep up. "It's definitely feeling like a really comfortable place for me now," she continued to the newspaper. "But I get nervous, I get freaked out, I get, you know, the usual stuff." Adele is another famous voice rolling in deep stage fright. While the 28-year-old British star is in the middle of her latest world tour, she admitted years ago that touring triggers anxiety attacks for her. "I'm scared of audiences," she told Rolling Stone in 2011. "I get shitty scared. One show in Amsterdam, I was so nervous I escaped out the fire exit. I've thrown up a couple of times. Once in Brussels, I projectile-vomited on someone. I just gotta bear it. But I don't like touring. I have anxiety attacks a lot." It's a challenge she still struggles with today, admitting to Today's Matt Lauer in 2015 that the nerves came on before she hit the stage for her one-night-only special at Radio City Music Hall. "I saw the crowd and I just melted," she said. "After the second or third song, I was chill, I was alright." She's spent her entire life in the spotlight, first as Judy Garland's daughter and later as an Oscar-winning actress, but all that time has not prevented Liza Minnelli from clamming up in front of the lights and cameras. However, by the time she reached her 60s, the icon explained her nerves had taken on a new form. "It's a different kind of nervous," she told Harper's Bazaar in 2011. "It's like a race horse gets nervous. Because I want to do it right." (Eonline)
Drake got slapped with a hefty fine for his Dallas concert going way past the allowed time -- 'cause, as they say ... money ain't a thang. Drake performed at American Airlines Center Thursday night -- he got a late start -- and when the clock struck midnight, he was officially in overtime. TMZ has learned the arena fined him $6,500 for every 15 minutes he played past 12. Drizzy even told the crowd he was going over, and he didn't care if he had to pay. He ended up performing until 12:35, so the show's gonna cost Drake an extra $13k. You're welcome, Big D. (TMZ)
Justin Bieber Drops New Single ''Cold Water'' With Major Lazer. It's finally here, you guys. New music from Justin Bieber and Major Lazer just dropped and this new track is definitely worth the wait. The song, titled "Cold Water," has been teased by both Diplo and the Biebs over the past week on their Twitter pages and Snapchat pages. But it looks like the duo aren't the only ones on the summer single, as "Lean On" singer MØ is also heard hitting all the right notes. And as if the three musicians mentioned weren't enough to come together to make a memorably hit song, it looks like another famous face was involved in the song-writing process. Ed Sheeran is listed as a co-writer, along with Benny Blanco, on "Cold Water." This marks the second time that Sheeran has worked with Bieber, the first time being "Love Yourself." Earlier in the week, Bieber took to Twitter to share some of the lyrics with his diehard fans. "I just want to stay afloat... If you feel you're sinking, I will jump right over, into cold, cold water for you," he's tweeted and is heard singing in the chorus. Bieber just completed the North American leg of his sold-out Purpose Tour at New York City's Madison Square Garden earlier this week. He's expected to travel to Asia in mid-August and then Europe in September through the end of November. (Eonline)
She's been imitated by Ariana Grande on The Tonight Show, and now it's Celine Dion's turn to take the wheel... of Musical Impressions. For Thursday's episode, the legendary singer not only performed Queen's "The Show Must Go On," but she also played the fan-beloved game and transformed her iconic voice to copy her friends Cher, Rihanna and Sia. Dion, 48, nailed her imitation of Cher singing "Frere Jacques" and even slipped in a little bit of "Believe" at the end. And if that wasn't stellar enough, the Vegas headliner seamlessly parodied RiRi's hit "Work" into the classic "Row, Row, Row Your Boat." Though artists usually take turns with late night host Jimmy Fallon, Dion assisted with his killer impression of Michael Jackson if he were to perform a cover of Drake's "One Dance." The mic drop-worthy closing act was her rendition of Sia belting out "Hush, Little Baby" with Dion even using Hashtag the Panda to nail the signature Sia look. (People)
The controversy with Kanye West's song "Famous," where he raps that he made that "bitch" Taylor Swift famous, doesn't stop at Swift. He also failed to get permission from songwriter Jimmy Webb to sample his song "Do What You Gotta Do." "Jimmy was a little peeved at first. [Jimmy and Kanye] share the same publisher, but they never asked permission to use his song," Webb's wife Laura Savini told Page Six. Rihanna sings "Do What You Gotta Do" on West's "Famous." "No one told us about it. As soon as we called Sony, they came back within 15 minutes and said, 'Everything's cool. You're an owner in this song,'" she said. Webb has written hits such as "Wichita Lineman," "MacArthur Park" and "By the Time I Get to Phoenix." Webb, a Swift fan, had planned to come to her defense until he learned he had significant ownership in the song. "He said, 'Hell, Taylor's a big girl. She can defend herself!'?" Savini added. Kid Rock's RNC Concert: Rocker Sidesteps the Soapbox to Show His Country Pride. Kid Rock arrived like a spritz of tonic in Donald Trump's apocalyptic convention speech cocktail, bringing closure to the GOP Convention in Cleveland on Thursday (July 21) night and a strong dose of patriotic, countrified rock pride. Originally scheduled for early evening (media were initially told to arrive at 7 p.m.) Rock's show was delayed past midnight until after the conclusion of The Donald's speech. Rock finally took the stage at 12:45 a.m., about thirty minutes after fireworks lit the Lake Erie shoreline to conclude the convention. The wait allowed conventioneers to make their way over to Nautica, the picturesque downtown open-air venue on the Cuyahoga River. The couple hundred invite-only patrons there at 11 p.m. tripled by showtime and were treated to a solid 75-minute set. Rock hit the stage to the tune of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'," cutting off on his cue line, "born and raised in South Detroit." Clad in his standard issue black t-shirt, blue jeans, sunglasses and black bowler hat, he didn't look much like a cowboy, but the one-time rapper should've been sporting a ten-gallon hat, as he sounded more like Eric Church than Marshall Mathers all night. He opened with the title track off last year's country album, First Kiss, a nostalgic glance back that evokes Tom Petty, old Chevys and teen smoking, echoing conservative yearnings for simpler, sepia-tinged days. That album's country sound feels pretty consistent given Rock's transition the last 15 years into Southern and heartland rock. It's like he's tracing Motown's genealogy from Bob Seger back to the Dixie transplants that moved North to man the auto plants in the fifties. (Obviously he presaged the move with the country-tinged hits off his 1998 breakout Devil Without a Cause album.) Rock made but one ambivalent reference to the occasion that brought him to Cleveland, saying, "I'm not going to stand on a soapbox here -- I'll leave that to the professionals." Rock did give a nod the Democrats' way -- with his full-employment band. All told there were eleven musicians backing him most of the night including three electric guitars (turned down low), bass, organ, DJ/keyboards, drummer, bongo player and three backup singers. The 16-song set naturally drew heavily on Cause, featuring the singles "Bawitdaba," "Cowboy," "Wasting Time" and "Only God Knows," and First Kiss, for additional tracks such as "Good Times, Cheap Wine" and "Johnny Cash." Other favorites included "Rock n Roll Jesus," "You Never Met a Motherfucker Like Me," the clever "Werewolves of London"/"Sweet Home Alabama" mash-up, "All Summer Long" and "Picture," the duet he originally recorded with Sheryl Crow. Rock's a splendid showman with a loose, lively personality that plays well from the stage. He doesn't talk much, but he knows who he is and what he does, and he does it well and with purpose. After pulling out that hoary old rap concert trick of having the girls say "Kid" and the boys say "Rock" (and I'll go to the bathroom), the dirty blond singer put on a showy display of his musical skills. Yes, he does more than "sing." Rock proceeded to hop behind the decks and scratch out a beat on the turntables, which he did with great skill. On guitar he showcased that beginners-guitar-lesson classic "Smoke on the Water," and he finished up by banging out Ted Nugent's "Cat Scratch Fever" on the drums. Rock returned for a two-song encore after an hour-long performance and a short political ad-ish video intermission honoring small town American values that concluded with the message "the only party that matters is the one we're having." With that he returned on piano for the title track from 2010's Born Free, and closed with "Bawitdaba" played before an enormous stage-length American flag. The evening's highlight evening came mid-set and proved to be Rock's aging acknowledgement, "Forty," one of three songs he's covered by John Eddie over the years. It's sort of the perfect country song with a great mix of indignant outrage and tongue-in-cheek disdain from a "petered out Peter Pan." Like a lot of his music these days, it vaguely recalls the Eagles, and as such, it's well-suited for his continuing transition from Kid Rock to Dad Rock. (Billboard)
Britney Spears Has Some Crafty Fans at the RNC. "Britney Army... I salute you on this one." Looks like Britney Spears is getting free promotion for her new single, "Make Me... " thanks to some dedicated fans at this week's Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. Wonder Woman Premieres First Trailer at Comic Con: See Gal Gadot In All Her Badass Glory. Move over, men of the DC Comics universe. Wonder Woman is in town. The first trailer for the Warner Bros. live-action flick made its debut at Comic Con on Saturday, and it definitely did not disappoint. Actress Gal Gadot takes center stage as Diana Prince, the superhero tasked with bringing peace to the world amidst the chaos of World War I. The teaser kicks off with co-star Chris Pine, who plays Wonder Woman's love interest, Steve Trevor, in the film washing up on shore. Gadot's character asks, "You're a man?" to which he responds, "Yeah, do I not look like one?" In between quite a few action-centric battle scenes, viewers are offered a glimpse into the feminist undertones of Wonder Woman's first ever standalone feature, who was first introduced in this year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. When meeting Trevor's secretary, Diana asks, "What is a secretary?" The woman responds, "I go where he tells me to go and I do what he tells me to do," as the crime-fighter then confidently states, "Well where I'm from, that's called slavery." As it turns out, Gadot even sought inspiration from her character's real life namesake. During the Comic Con panel in which the trailer premiered, she mentioned the impact Princess Diana made on her preparation for the role. (Eonline)

Justin Timberlake's Trolls Co-Star Anna Kendrick Recalls How His Casting Was Kept Secret. Justin Timberlake was a late addition to DreamWorks' new animated movie Trolls and his casting was initially a big secret, even from main star Anna Kendrick. The 35-year-old pop star and the 30-year-old actress recently talked to E! News' Marc Malkin about the film, in which they play Branch and Poppy. "Anna came onto the movie first," Timberlake said. "I had a little bit of an advantage of being excited to work with her on this and then getting to work on all the music too was very exciting for me." "I had been working on the movie for a little while and I remember when they brought Justin on, there was some kind of weird degree of, like, secrecy happening and I was like, 'What's happening together? Everybody's acting weird today,'" Kendrick added. "And then they were like, 'Um, so we just wanted to tell you that we're bringing on Justin Timberlake to work on the music.'" "They were telling me as though they were like, 'Is that OK with you? Is that OK for you? Is that going to be OK for you?'" she continued. "And I was like, 'Yeah, I mean, that's OK.' But I was like, 'Should I act like I'm having a hard time with this so that I can, like, ask for something later?'" Timberlake and Kendrick made their comments to Malkin at San Diego Comic-Con International 2016 Thursday, before speaking at a panel for Trolls. The pop star served as executive producer of the movie's soundtrack, which contains his dance single "Can't Stop the Feeling," currently one of this summer's biggest hits. "The song was written specifically for the movie," Timberlake told Malkin. "I mean, it's in the movie. It's not like an end credits song. I think it definitely sort of encapsulates...part of the message of what our movie is." Trolls is set for release on Nov. 4. (Eonline)
Luke Cage Debuts New Trailer at Comic Con: "The World Is Ready For a Bulletproof Black Man." Sweet Christmas! The latest entry to Marvel's TV empire, Luke Cage, finally dropped a trailer that has us asking one question: Is it September 30th yet? Viewers last saw the character in Marvel's Jessica Jones where he fell under the control of Kilgrave (David Tennant) and attacked Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter). To stop him, she shot point-blank with a shotgun, but viewers know Luke Cage (Mike Colter) isn't just your typical bar owner and street vigilante: he's got superpowers, naturally. The character has super strength and unbreakable skin. With the help of Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), Luke pulled through the trauma and took his leave when nobody was looking. Now he's in Harlem, trying to rebuild his life. However, his past comes knocking again and things don't stay so simple. The trailer dropped shortly after the cast, alongside showrunner Cheo Coker, debuted the footage to hordes of fans at Comic Con. Coker previewed the series by saying, "The world is ready for a bulletproof black man." He gets no argument here. Luke Cage stars Colter, Dawson, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Stokes, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Mahershala Ali as Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes, Theo Rossi as Shades and Frank Whaley as Rafael Scarfe. The series is the third in Marvel's planned Netflix suite of shows. Daredevil and Jessica Jones predate it with Iron Fist, Punisher and a team-up series, The Defenders, all in the works. All 13 episodes of Marvel's Luke Cage premiere Friday, Sept. 30 on Netflix. (Eonline)

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Luc Besson got an enthusiastic Hall H standing ovation -- and an Inkpot Award! -- after previewing a few scenes from next year's Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets at San Diego Comic-Con. Unbelievably, it was Besson's first time to Comic-Con -- though the audience made it clear that his previous film such as The Professional and The Fifth Element are ones kept near and dear to the community. It's films such as those that led to him being was surprised onstage with the Inkpot Award, which he kept on the podium, telling the audience: "Can I make a deal with you? If you don't mind, I'm going to put it here and after I show you [the footage], if you still think I deserve it I'll take it." (Spoiler: the audience was well in agreement.) The film only wrapped five weeks ago -- it will be in theaters July 21, 2017 -- and stars Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne, who play space-traveling duo Valerian and Laureline. The source material comes from the French comic book first published in 1967 that's inspired both Star Wars and Avatar. Besson says he fell in love with the comic and characters since the age of 10, and has been wanting to make a film version pretty much since then. The seven minutes of footage shown in Hall H showcased a badass Laureline (Cara Delevingne), a comedic Valerian (DeHaan), a glimpse of Rihanna, and plenty of new alien species. In one scene, Laureline is marched down a hallway by two burly captors. "Don't you think you should cuff me?" she tells them before beating them up and escaping. In another scene, Valerian is scene hopping through dimensions. "It's unbelievable. That's the second time I've seen that [footage] and it looks so cool," remarked DeHaan. "I described [Valerian] earlier as a space bro. He thinks of himself as the most capable soldier in the universe, there's a lot of luck on his side, and he'd be nothing without Laureline." Delevingne, for her part, described her character as a "strong, independent, hardworking, determined individual." She added, "They wouldn't be able to do what they do without each other. ... It's a wonderful thing to be in such an incredible pairing." When asked what he looked for in his actors, Besson added, "I want actors passionate. My fear was someone taking a job. I just need to be sure that they want to be part of it and give everything. I give everything. I need to be sure that they would be there. Then, I need to be sure that they're talented. We made a lot of tests. I pushed them, pushed them pushed them. They're so good." Rihanna, who in the footage appeared alongside DeHann in what appeared to be a nightclub, is playing a mystery character. "People keep asking who she plays in the movie. Really, guys, you don't even know," DeHaan told the crowd. "Rihanna's part is so crazy. It's so awesome. I worked with her for two weeks of the shoot, when I told people what I was going to do for the shoot their jaws were on the floor and so jealous. The panel, which also included glimpses of concept art for the film and a number of its alien creatures, concluded with the panelists and entire audience taking a massive group selfie. (EW)

Comic-Con: Edward Snowden on His Acting Debut in Oliver Stone's 'Snowden'. Following a private Comic-Con screening of the film, Stone and Snowden, via Google Hangouts, participated in a Q&A. Edward Snowden is turning his hand to acting - by playing himself, albeit briefly, in Oliver Stone's Snowden. The former intelligence contractor, who copied and leaked classified NSA documents in 2013,makes his acting debut in the film that dramatizes his life, appearing in the final scene. Snowden, via Google Hangouts, joined Stone and the film's stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt (who plays Snowden) and Shailene Woodley (who plays Snowden's girlfriend Lindsay Mills) for a Q&A session after a private screening of the film at Comic-Con. When asked why he agreed to not only cooperate with the production but to also be in the movie, Snowden said: "There is a way we communicate and that is through storytelling. Now, I am not an actor and I don't think anyone in politics is charismatic enough to connect with people on these issues that are so abstract." He added: "But when we have people, who are these avatars, who I like to think of as champions for the public good -- like Shai and Joe -- they can reach new audiences in new ways to get people talking about things that they don't have time to read and look for in the academic setting." Stone was asked how it was to direct Snowden, who is self-admittedly not an actor. "He talks so well in interviews but it is a hard for him to become a third person, it's hard for him to make that leap." Stone said that they did nine takes of the scene, from multiple angels, adding, "It was a painful day. And I once directed Donald Trump." Snowden retorted: "I want to avoid that association." Stone directed the presidential candidate for Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, though the scene didn't make it into the final cut of the movie. The director elaborated: "The difference between Donald and Ed, is that between every take Donald would jump up and say 'Wasn't that great!" Snowden is set to hit theaters on September 16. The Flash Debuts New Trailer for Season 3's Flashpoint and You Will Honestly Lost Your Mind. We need it to be October right now. The Flash just debuted a new trailer for season three during its San Diego Comic Con panel, and we may never stop hyperventilating. Flashpoint is taking over Central City, which means that literally everything has changed. Barry (Grant Gustin) has two parents, Cisco's (Carlos Valdes) the richest man in America ("an ostentatious billionaire," according to Carlos Valdes), Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) is Kid Flash, and Iris (Candace Patton) doesn't have a clue who Barry is. So there's some good, some bad, and a whole lot of stuff we can't wait to see more of. There are also new villains, including a new speedster and Dr. Alchemy (voiced by Tobin Bell, AKA Jigsaw), and just so many things going on. Watch it immediately! We also learned during the panel that Flashpoint will affect Arrow, particularly Diggle (David Ramsey), but we'll have to wait to find out exactly how that works. The panel was also joined by the cast's the newest addition, Tom Felton He's playing a forensic expert named Julian who suspects Barry of hiding something. As for whether we can trust him, "I think you should see every character I play as a threat," Felton told the audience. If you're worried about these changes being bad news for Barry and Iris' blossoming relationship, have no fear. According to executive producers Todd and Aaron Helbing, "In any timeline, Barry and Iris ultimately find each other." The Flash returns Tuesday, Oct 4 at 8 p.m. on the CW. (Eonline)
The Vampire Diaries to End After Season 8. The end is officially here. The Vampire Diaries' eighth season, which The CW ordered back in March (along with every other show on its schedule at the time), will officially be its last. The news was announced during the show's San Diego Comic Con panel, and was followed by heartfelt goodbyes and an emotional farewell. "It's so rare for a show to get to last this long, and what a privilege that Mark Pedowitz and Peter Roth have allowed us to choose the time to end the journey on our own creative terms," said executive producer Julie Plec in a statement. "It's been eight of the best years of my life. I will miss it terribly, but I'm so proud to be here to see it to its proper end." "I feel so blessed to have been a part of The Vampire Diaries," Co-creator and executive producer Kevin Williamson said. "It has been a magical, thrilling, life-changing experience. Working with Julie and our amazing cast and crew has been one of the highlights of my career and life. At its core, the show has always been about family and that's what we have become behind the scenes as well -- one big family. And while it's sad to see it come to an end, I'm thrilled to be back and part of the final chapter. We're very grateful to our loyal audience -- they're our family, too -- and we hope to say thank you by giving them the last and most epic season ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you." Williamson, who co-created the show with Julie Plec but left in 2011, was on hand at the panel to announce that he's returning to the writers' room for season eight, and to tease a "final big bad." The season eight teaser revealed that we would be meeting "evil herself," which does not sound good. It was also revealed that season eight will consist of 16 episodes, and will conclude in 2017. Plec told E! News back in January that she'd already begun discussing the end with the Salvatore brothers themselves. "I finally realized that my destiny on this show, creatively, is tied in to Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. And I mean that in a really good way," she explained. "As long as those boys who I now consider my friends want to keep telling the story, then I won't walk away from telling the story." A few months later, star Somerhalder told us that he hoped season eight would focus on the show's core characters to give fans a satisfying ending. "I really want to make sure that we get to go back to the basics," he explained. "What made people fall in love with this story was its characters, not 40 of them, like eight of them, six of them -- this core group of actors, of characters that really move you." He added, "We don't know where that's going to go but leaving the audience with the fact that by that time they will have spent eight years of their life with these people, I want the audience to feel closer, more afraid, more in love, more in tune with these characters than they ever have been." The final season of The Vampire Diaries debuts Friday, October 21 at 8 p.m. on the CW. (Eonline)

Bones Will Kill Off Two Characters Next Year and More Final Season Scoop. Here's the bad news, Bones fans: There are only 12 episodes left of the series you've loved for eleven years now. But the good news: Those 12 episodes are going to be PACKED with action as the series wraps up the shorelines of Brennan (Emily Deschanel), Booth (David Boreanaz), Angela (Michaela Conlin), Hodgins (T.J. Thyne), Cam (Tamara Taylor) and the rest of the Jeffersonian gang. The core cast, along with executive producers Jonathan Collier and Michael Peterson, took the stage at San Diego Comic-Con for their final Comic-Con panel ever. Sniff! The gang couldn't spill much intel on the 12th and final season, considering they only just started pre-production. But they did share a few ominous details about what's to come for the Jeffersonian crew in the final season. First of all, there will be death. Which is not unexpected, considering the team investigates murders each week -- but Collier and Peterson teased that two people we know from past seasons will die (none of the people who were on the panel, though, so don't freak out!). The season premiere, which is being directed by Deschanel (her directorial debut!), will be a continuation of the Boreanaz-directed finale. And Eric Millegan, a.k.a. former squintern Zack Addy, will be back for three or four episodes in the new season. In the season 11 finale (if you weren't preempted!), we learned that Zack is involved with the latest serial killer terrorizing the team, the Puppeteer. But how is he involved? That's something we'll learn. A fun bit of news for the final season: Cam and Arastoo are actually going to tie the knot (yay!), we'll get another undercover episode, and we'll finally learn what 447 means in the penultimate episode. And of course, the series finale will be "the best episode ever." As if we'd expect anything less. (Eonline)

Rita Ora Is Your New America's Next Top Model Host. Rita Ora better have perfected her smize, because she's officially filling the shoes of Tyra Banks as the new host of America's Next Top Model. Banks, who will continue to executive produce the series, announced the new host and judging panel to USA Today after weeks of speculation. Although Banks is mainly involved behind-the-scenes now, she'll still make "a couple of appearances" on the show, she said. "I thought we were done with the brand," Banks told USA Today. Ora, who just finished filming her first elimination, explained her goal as new host. "The approach I wanted to have as a host and judge to the girls is what my career stands for at this moment in time, which is being a businesswoman and being able to do multiple things at the same time," she said, "whether it's music or shooting (magazine covers) and being in movies and designing clothes." VH1 and Logo president Chris McCarthy said that he was never searching for a Tyra Banks replacement, but to "really infuse the panel with style, fashion and pop culture experts. Together they collectively have the power of what is driving fashion and pop culture today." ANTM is currently filming a new 14-episode season (featuring all female models) in New York and will debut on VH1 in the future. (Eonline)
Paget Brewster Is Returning to Criminal Minds for Season 12 Arc. Prentiss returns! Criminal Minds' prodigal BAU agent Paget Brewster is heading back to the series for a multi-episode arc during its upcoming 12th season. SSA Emily Prentiss will come back into the BAU fold when the team must track down 13 escaped serial killers. "We're excited to have Paget Brewster back for multiple episodes in our 12th season," Criminal Minds executive producer and showrunner Erica Messer said in a statement announcing the news. "The BAU can use more help this year since they've got a lot of known and unknown subjects to catch." Brewster left the series in 2012 after its seventh season, with her character going on to run the Interpol office in London. But she hasn't left completely--she's returned to the series multiple times, most recently in the wake of original cast member Shemar Moore's departure after eleven seasons as a series regular. The CBS staple has added Magic Mike star Adam Rodriguez, who recently recurred on Jane the Virgin as Jane's sexy writing professor, as a new series regular in season 12. "We're thrilled to introduce a new special agent by adding the very talented Adam Rodriguez to our amazing cast," Messer said in a statement at the time of his casting. "We have exciting shorelines planned for his character and the entire BAU team as we head into our 12th season." Criminal Minds returns Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 9 p.m. on CBS. (Eonline)
Any Girls fans in the house? So the following will contain season six spoilers, so stop reading now if this will cause you pain. So this is what's gone down. Pictures have emerged of filming from the new series and it looks like Hannah (Lena Dunham) and Adam (Adam Driver) have got back together AGAIN. Third time lucky lads. But we're worried about our beloved Hannah, so have penned a few words begging her to think carefully about this definitely bad decision. "Dear Hannah, Are you ok hun? We're worried about you. WHY are you even considering get back together with Adam, let alone full on kissing him publicly? It's as the age old saying goes, never go back. You've been here before babe - this is your third attempt at rekindling something with everyone's favorite caveman-cum-intense actor Adam. Rarely is getting back together with an ex a good idea (although we've all been there sister), even less an ex who had a full-blown relationship with your BEST FRIEND that he (and she) didn't even have the good grace to sit down and tell you about. We don't want to upset you here, but we've got to call a spade a spade - he didn't just have sex with your best friend who you have a complicated relationship with anyway, although that would be bad enough. He went further than that; he dated her - they had real, very intense feelings for each other. It was actually, and we hate to say this, sorry, sorry, sorry, kind of sweet and touching to watch their romantic feelings develop. Adam actually offered to pay for her college fees when her sister refused. Granted, a relationship based on a mutual alcoholism and metal health issues isn't a foundation for a happily ever after, but are you really going to be able to accept that your best friend and boyfriend have had a burning connection, shagged a lot, met each other's families and talked about all your flaws? That'd be a tall order for any human. You freaked out when you realized that they were into each other, as any normal person would, but eventually you accepted it and seemed more composed and together than we've ever seen. So why go back on all that progress? We get that Fran was just a rebound guy and not right for you, but that's not to say Adam is either. Perhaps, you're still to meet the one who'll be your real partner in crime/work/life, which is actually kind of exciting. But you won't meet him if you're knee-deep in Adam (although he is hot). And, what is with the way he's holding your tummy there? A baby never fixed a relationship in all history - kids, ideally, should be born into a happy, secure relationship with two people who are fairly ok with who they are. Babies require huge sacrifice, compromise, maturity and selflessness. Are you guys really there yet? (That was rhetorical.) Sweet, funny, Hannah, we'll always be there for you even when you're a bit a self-obsessed nightmare, but just be careful with this one. We appreciate that sometimes you've just got to see things through, just try not to let that self-destructive streak get too rowdy. We'll keep an eye out. Come on series six. (British Glamour)
Fox's 'Rocky Horror Picture Show': New Trailer Debuts at Comic-Con. Let's do the Time Warp again -- this time, on the small screen. Fox is following up on the success of Grease Live! by reaching back into the 1970s to remake another beloved musical: The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the raunchy 1975 cult classic that still manages to shock and titillate after all these years. (Can you believe audiences were singing along with a "sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania" four decades ago?) And the show is getting a timely update, with transgender actress Laverne Cox (Orange Is the New Black) starring as the lascivious Dr. Frank-N-Furter. (Don't worry: The original Frank-N-Furter, Tim Curry, is back as well, as the Narrator.) The new cast boasts music-industry cred (Adam Lambert as Eddie, Christina Milian as Magenta) and tween-TV star power (Victoria Justice and Ryan McCartan as Janet and Brad), and with High School Musical's Kenny Ortega on board as director and choreographer, you can expect more than a few toe-tapping musical numbers. The cast and crew behind the new Rocky Horror -- debuting Oct. 20, just in time for Halloween -- brought the party to San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday night, screening the first 25 minutes to a rowdy crowd of Rocky devotees (no, the production won't air live; it was filmed in advance) and discussing the challenges of adapting one of the weirdest musicals out there. Executive producer Lou Adler worked on the original film, and when he saw the crowd's enthusiastic reaction to the new footage, he told the packed ballroom, "I think our biggest fear just went away." He emphasized that the whole production was determined to "never lose the fact that the fans have carried this film for 40 years." There are a few noticeable tweaks to the Rocky Horror we know and love: A girl in front of a movie theater sings "Science Fiction Double Feature" rather than just a pair of lips. Frank-N-Furter enters on a giant crane rather than in an elevator. And Brad and his pal exchange a fist bump (!) at the opening-scene wedding. Plus, echoing Adler's point about the fans, they even incorporate a movie-theater audience to replicate the call-and-response fun from the film's famed midnight screenings. But for the most part, this Rocky Horror sticks to the script: We get an appropriately chirpy rendition of "Dammit Janet," an grandiose take on "There's a Light" -- during which the Comic-Con crowd dutifully lifted their illuminated phones into the air in tribute -- an epic "Time Warp" (Penny Dreadful's Reeve Carney is an early highlight as Riff Raff), and Cox's grand entrance in glittery red lingerie with "Sweet Transvestite." This is clearly a Rocky Horror made by fans, and made for fans. Of course, there was some concern that the new take wouldn't live up to the original. Ortega says they consulted the president of the Rocky Horror fan club; he even has a cameo in the film as the wedding photographer. Curry is obviously the link bridging the two versions; the Comic-Con fans cheered the loudest for his name in the credits. And Curry was happy to participate. In fact, he actually called up and requested to be a part of this production, Ortega revealed. Adler says Curry has already seen the new version and given it his blessing: "He said, 'You betcha.' He liked everything about it." Most of the cast wasn't born when the original Rocky Horror hit theaters, but they all remember the first time they saw it. Justice says she first watched it in fifth grade, and then later went to a midnight screening in her teens with some famous pals (including Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson) "... and our moms." McCartan first saw the stage version, and he had an awkward family connection, too: "My sister was in it... and I saw it with my mom." Given the sexually graphic nature of the material, it did put the cast members in a few... uncomfortable positions. Milian remembers that during rehearsals, "we all had to look each other in the eye and circle each other in... what can I call this? It wasn't an orgy." (Adler helpfully adds, "You were in the soup together.") After a decade starring on squeaky-clean kids' shows like Zoey 101 and Victorious, Justice laughs, "I think I can say with certainty after doing this that the Nickelodeon chapter of my life has closed." 'Impractical Jokers' Renewed for Sixth Season at truTV. Season six will consist of 26 episodes set to launch in early 2017. TruTV is sticking with Impractical Jokers. The Turner-owned cable network has renewed its top-rated series for a sixth season, ensuring the show will remain on the air through 2017. The series' stars -- Staten Island natives Sal, Joe, Murr and Q -- made the announcement as part of a fan event in San Diego. The forthcoming season will include 26 episodes, and comes on the heels of an hour-long summer premiere special that landed the unscripted comedy at No. 1 in its time-slot among young adults. Looking to build the brand beyond the linear series platform, the group has been performing on tour, too, having already played 90 cities in the past year, including three sold-out shows at Radio City Music Hall. Their new tour, Impractical Jokers Santiago Sent Us, includes sold out shows at London's O2 arena. "The continuing multiplatform success and incredible fan engagement we see around the Impractical Jokers makes this season six order a no-brainer," said truTV president Chris Linn, adding: "Joe, Murr, Q and Sal have consistently raised the bar on the creativity and fun they bring to the show each week, and we're looking forward to what they can dream up for season six." Produced by NorthSouth Productions (Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta), Impractical Jokers centers on four childhood friends who regularly dare each other to do ridiculous things in public. Their often extreme mischief is captured on hidden camera, as are the amused, confused or all-around flabbergasted reactions of unsuspecting strangers. The series' fifth season is currently airing on Thursday nights; the sixth will debut in early 2017. It's part of a schedule that includes Billy on the Street, Adam Ruins Everything and Comedy Knockout. (Hollywood Reporter)
After a rough week on social media, Leslie Jones is feeling the love! The Ghostbusters actress temporarily left Twitter after she was the target of degrading, racist abuse. Announcing her exit on Monday, Jones made a passionate plea to put an end to the ongoing hate from trolls, and received tons of support from celebs, fans, and even CEO Jack Dorsey himself. When she stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers on Thursday, the 48-year-old explained why she chose to speak up about her attackers in the first place -- and was surprised with a montage of videos from fans sending their love! He's back! Jon Stewart returned to TV on Thursday, July 21, to chime in on presidential nominee Donald Trump's speech at the Republican National Convention. The Daily Show alum sported a beard and wore a grey T-shirt as he popped up from under the desk of former colleague Stephen Colbert on The Late Show as the CBS host talked about Roger Ailes quitting as chariman and CEO of Fox News amid accusations of sexual harassment. But Ailes wasn't the one Stewart, 53, wanted to talk about. He was all about the upcoming presidential election, and took over Colbert's chair as the host, 52, helped him slip into a jacket and clipped a tie to his tee. "Well, the convention's over," he told the cheering audience. "I thought Donald Trump was gonna speak. Ivanka said that he was gonna come out. She said he was really compassionate and generous, but then this angry groundhog came out, and he just vomited on everybody for an hour." "The Republicans appear to have a very clear plan for America," he continued. "They articulated it throughout the convention. 1. Jail your political opponent; 2. Inject Rudy Giuliani with a speedball and Red Bull enema; and then 3. Spend the rest of the time scaring the holy bejesus out of everybody." He then talked about the idea that conservatives now have to embrace the qualities in the GOP nominee that they previously hated in President Barack Obama -- "a thin-skinned narcissist with no government experience" -- before targeting the flip-flopping commentary of Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, who he nicknamed "Lumpy." Stewart also targeted Trump supporters, telling them, "This country isn't yours. You don't own it! ... You don't own patriotism, you don't own Christianity. You sure as hell don't own respect for the bravery and sacrifice of military, police and firefighters." He dropped some expletives aimed at the delegates on the RNC floor who actively fought against a bill in support of 9/11 responders before Colbert popped up from under the desk to remind him that the show was live. But before he could continue his diatribe against "Lumpy and his friends," Colbert pulled out an air horn. (US Weekly)

(Billboard)

"What made people fall in love with this story was its characters, not 40 of them, like eight of them, six of them -- this core group of actors, of characters that really move you." He added, "We don't know where that's going to go but leaving the audience with the fact that by that time they will have spent eight years of their life with these people, I want the audience to feel closer, more afraid, more in love, more in tune with these characters than they ever have been." The final season of The Vampire Diaries debuts Friday, October 21 at 8 p.m. on the CW. (Eonline)
Ghost Rider Will Seek His Vengeance in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4. Ever since a mysteriously wrapped trolley car bearing the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. logo, along with flames and a chain, began driving around San Diego in the lead up to Comic-Con, fans have been abuzz with the possibility that popular Marvel antihero Ghost Rider would be involved in season four. And they were right. As the ABC series' panel at Comic-Con 2016 concluded, fans were treated to a teaser of the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo burning away, leaving behind a burning skull and the tagline, "Vengeance comes this fall." Marvel later confirmed the news, revealing that actor Gabriel Luna will assume the role of Robbie Reyes, the unstoppable Ghost Rider. "Season 4 will unquestionably be the series' biggest, most ambitious story yet, and it all begins with the introduction of one of our greatest legacy characters in Ghost Rider," Jeph Loeb, executive producer/head of Marvel Television, said in a statement. The Big Bang Theory Just Cast Penny's Mom and Is Giving Kaley Cuoco an Epic 8 Simple Rules Reunion. Could this casting get any better?! It was just announced at The Big Bang Theory's 2016 San Diego Comic-Con panel that Katey Sagal will be playing mother to Kaley Cuoco once again as Penny's mom this fall, according to executive producer Steven Molaro. Sagal and Cuoco previously played mother and daughter on 8 Simple Rules, which ran from 2002 to 2005 on ABC. She will appear in the first episode of the season, along with Penny's brother, who will be played by Jack McBrayer. He was on hand at the panel to help make the announcement. While we don't know a whole lot about Penny's backstory, we have met her father, who was played by Keith Carradine in two episodes. Maybe seeing more of her family means we'll finally find out her last name! It's about time that more of Penny's family shows up, since Penny and Leonard did just get married and all, and Sagal and McBrayer are basically the most perfect choices anyone could have made. The Big Bang Theory returns to CBS on September 19 at 8 p.m. (Eonline)
The Walking Dead Season 7 Trailer Is Finally Here -- And Yes, There's a Tiger. Mark your calendars, The Walking Dead fans. We finally have a season seven premiere date. Shortly after taking the stage for the show's highly anticipated Comic Con panel, the show's executive producers revealed that we'd finally learn who's on the receiving end of Negan's brutal attack come Sunday, October 23. Of course, that wasn't the only news to come out of the panel. After showrunner Scott Gimple confirmed that season seven would take a trip to the Kingdom, AMC released the new trailer, complete with our first look at King Ezekiel and his pet tiger, Shiva. Yes, you read that right. For those unfamiliar with the comics, Ezekiel becomes a key ally in the fight against Negan and his Saviors. Before the zombie apocalypse, he was a zookeeper, hence the pet tiger. As leader of The Kingdom, he comes to know Rick and the gang through a trading network that also includes the Hilltop (Gregory and Jesus' community). Ezekiel will be brought to life on the series by Khary Payton. Are you as excited about season seven as we are? The Walking Dead returns to AMC Sunday, October 23.
(Eonline)
Law & Order: SVU Taking on Making a Murderer in Season 18. It wouldn't be a new season of Law & Order: SVU without a ripped from the headlines story to kick things off and this time they're taking on Making a Murderer. Is the internet ready for this? E! News has confirmed Henry Thomas, yes Elliot from E.T., will appear alongside Kelli Williams in an episode about a convicted rapist who is exonerated after DNA is freshly tested. Ice T's character, Fin, originally arrested Thomas' character 16 years earlier and then begins investigating him again when he's linked to a deadly crime. Netflix's Making a Murderer captivating audiences with its stale of Steven Avery, who was arrested and wrongfully convicted of a brutal sexual assault. He spent years in prison before getting released and ultimately put back behind bars for the murder of Teresa Halbach shortly after his release. His new appeals will be chronicled in another batch of episodes for Netflix. "Because of [Laura] Ricciardi's and [Moira] Demos' incredible vision, commitment and keen eye, audiences around the globe became completely captivated by the personal stories of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey and the unique lens their experiences provide into the criminal justice system," Lisa Nishimura, vice president of original documentary programming at Netflix, said in a statement. "We're thrilled to be continuing our longstanding relationship with the filmmakers, and look forward to giving our global viewers eagerly anticipated updates on this story." Other details on the new season are being kept hush hush, but we can tell you this: there will be some nakedness. "All I can tell you is that I read a scene where John Stamos and I are not wearing clothes," Powell recently told us. "So I have to figure out my diet. I should probably not have a carb for a second because I don't want John Stamos to show me up." Solid plan. Let the horror begin. Scream Queens season two premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20 on Fox. Daredevil Renewed for Season 3 by Netflix. Hell's Kitchen, you're still safe. Daredevil has officially been renewed for a third season by Netflix, Marvel's head of TV Jeph Loeb announced unexpectedly during Luke Cage's Comic-Con panel on Thursday. Soon after the news was announced live on stage, the show' official Twitter account also posted about the good news. "Next stop: Hell's Kitchen. Daredevil Season 3 is coming soon," they captioned a photo of a subway station. Season three of Daredevil, which stars Charlie Cox as the titular character, is expected to premiere in 2017. Teen Wolf Is Ending! Find Out How Long Before We Say Goodbye to Beacon Hills. Get ready to say goodbye to Beacon Hills. Executive producer Jeff Davis just announced at Teen Wolf's San Diego Comic Con panel on Thursday at the MTV series will end after its upcoming sixth season, which will consist of just 20 episodes. That means that the show will end with its 100th episode. While the news is definitely sad for longtime fans of the series, it makes sense, given the fact that the characters are preparing to graduate from high school. The show also debuted a trailer for its final season, which included scenes with Dylan O'Brien, despite his injuries on the set of The Death Cure earlier this year.
Singer/actress Ora will be joined by a new panel of judges, including supermodel Ashley Graham, stylist Law Roach and Paper magazine chief creative officer Drew Elliott. Although Banks is mainly involved behind-the-scenes now, she'll still make "a couple of appearances" on the show, she said. "I thought we were done with the brand," Banks told USA Today. "But the fact that the brand still has viability, and that VH1 really truly sees a strong future with it, how could I say no to that?" Ora, who just finished filming her first elimination, explained her goal as new host.
(US Weekly)
